00:39 Our message tonight is entitled "Revelation's Final Showdown."
00:44 A thousand years of peace and a thousand years of prison.
00:48 I want you to take your Bible with me
00:50 and open to the Book of Revelation Chapter 20
00:53 where we find a most powerful dramatic prophecy
00:58 that will put eternal realties into sharp prospective tonight.
01:05 We are going to the last book of the Bible
01:06 the Book of Revelation, we are going to the 20th chapter
01:10 and here we find a prophecy that reviles God's plan
01:15 to deal with the greatest criminal of all.
01:19 The instigator of every crime
01:22 and every sin that has ever been committed
01:23 in this world, Satan himself.
01:27 Notice, Revelation Chapter 20 beginning with verse 1,
01:30 "And I saw an angel come down from heaven,
01:33 having the key of the bottomless pit
01:35 and a great chain in his hand.
01:37 And he laid hold on the dragon,
01:38 that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan,
01:41 and bound him" for how long?
01:44 "Thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit,
01:48 and shut him up, and set a seal upon him,
01:51 that he should deceive the nations no more,
01:53 till the thousand years should be fulfilled
01:57 and after that he must be loosed a little season."
02:02 Here we find in Bible prophecy
02:05 God's plan to deal with the greatest coming of all
02:07 the instigator of every crime that is Satan himself.
02:11 The Bible tells us that he is going to be thrown in jail
02:14 imprisoned in the bottomless pit.
02:17 He is going to have some time off
02:18 for his bad behavior
02:20 and he is going to serve
02:21 a thousand year prison sentence.
02:24 He will serve every year in full
02:26 then after the thousand years are finished
02:28 the Bible tells us
02:29 that he will be released from his prison for a short season.
02:33 He is going to be prorogued for a short time
02:36 so that the universe might be able to see
02:38 that even after having a thousand years
02:40 to think about all the crimes and the sin
02:43 that he is committed he is still unrepeated
02:45 and unchanged he is still the same old devil.
02:50 And so this is the study
02:52 we are seeking to understand clearly tonight.
02:55 And so the first question we want to ask
02:57 is what event begins the 1,000 year period?
03:01 What event begins the binding and bounding of Satan
03:05 for 1,000 years in the bottomless pit?
03:07 Well, friends, we don't have to guess
03:09 all we have to do is read the context
03:11 and the context makes it clear
03:13 that what begins the 1,000 years
03:15 is none other than the second coming
03:17 of Jesus Christ in the clouds of heaven.
03:20 Jesus himself is going to come
03:22 and He is gonna through the devil in jail.
03:24 Can you say, amen?
03:25 And I want us to notice, how the coming of Jesus
03:27 is described in Revelation 1:7.
03:30 The Bible says, "Behold He comes with clouds,
03:33 and" some eye shall see Him.
03:35 Is that what He says? No.
03:36 How many?
03:38 "Every eye shall see Him."
03:39 Friends, it's gonna be a visible coming.
03:42 There is no such thing as a secret rapture, friends.
03:45 It's gonna be a visible rapture,
03:47 it's gonna be powerful rapture a glorious rapture.
03:49 Bible says, He is coming with clouds,
03:51 every eye will see Him and they also which did, what?
03:55 Pierced Him.
03:56 Now, I want you to keep that in mind
03:58 when Jesus comes not only well every eye see Him in this world
04:01 but also those that pierced Him
04:03 and we are gonna come back to that in just a moment.
04:05 And friends, when He comes
04:06 not only where every eye sees Him
04:09 but every ear is gonna hear it.
04:11 It's gonna be loud powerful and glorious.
04:13 Notice what is says
04:17 the Bible says, "For the Son of man will come
04:19 in the glory of His Father with His angels,
04:21 and then He will reward
04:23 each according to his" what?
04:26 So the Bible says that when Jesus comes
04:28 He is not coming alone.
04:29 He is coming with all the angles of heaven.
04:32 He is coming with the glory and power of the father
04:34 and He is also coming with rewards
04:36 according to individuals work.
04:39 Now friends, the question is
04:40 what kind of rewards is Jesus coming with?
04:43 Notice what it says in John 5:28, 29
04:47 please write it down.
04:49 John 5:58, 29 Jesus said, "Marvel not at this,
04:52 for the hour is coming,
04:54 in the which all that are
04:55 in the graves shall hear His voice,
04:58 And shall come forth, they that have done good,
05:01 unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil,
05:05 unto the resurrection" of what?
05:07 "Damnation."
05:08 So these are the different rewards
05:11 that Jesus is coming
05:12 with that are according to individuals work.
05:14 We find that in the Bible,
05:17 there are actually two different resurrections.
05:19 How many?
05:20 There is the resurrections of life for the righteous
05:23 and then the resurrections of damnation for the wicked.
05:27 And we are gonna discover tonight
05:28 at our study
05:29 that these two resurrections
05:31 happens on either side of the 1,000 year period.
05:35 We are gonna see it tonight
05:36 that the first resurrections
05:37 that is the resurrections of life
05:39 takes place at the beginning of the 1,000 years
05:41 when Jesus comes.
05:43 And then the second resurrection
05:44 that's the resurrection of damnation
05:46 will take place at the end of the 1,000 years.
05:49 during the final judgment.
05:51 But let's walk through this together
05:52 and friends, tonight's message is more dramatic
05:55 than any movie that Hollywood could ever make.
05:57 Because what we are about to see from God's word tonight
06:00 will happen friends,
06:01 and everyone is gonna witness it with their own eyes.
06:04 Notice what the Bible tells us
06:06 concerning the first resurrection
06:09 that is the resurrections of life.
06:10 Revelation 20:6, the Bible says,
06:14 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part
06:16 in the" what number resurrection?
06:18 "The first resurrection on such" the which death?
06:22 "The second death hath no power,
06:25 but they shall be priests of God and of Christ,
06:28 and shall reign with him" how long?
06:30 "A thousand years."
06:31 Now friends, if there are a second death
06:34 that implies that there also has to be a first death, right?
06:37 And so what is the difference
06:39 between the first and the second death.
06:41 Here it is.
06:42 The first death is the death that everyone would die
06:47 as a result of living in a sinful world.
06:49 Whether you are righteous or you are wicked
06:51 we are all gonna die one day, isn't that right?
06:53 You see the first death
06:54 is simply the results of living in a sinful world.
06:57 But the second death is a lot more serious.
07:01 It's a permanent death.
07:02 The second death only the wicked would die
07:05 because this second death is the penalty for sin.
07:08 It is the what? Penalty for sin.
07:09 So the first death
07:11 both the righteous and the wicked would die off
07:13 eventually but the second death only the wicked will die.
07:16 And the Bible tell us that those who come up
07:18 in the first resurrection will not die the second time
07:21 they died the first death
07:23 that's where they are coming up in the first resurrection.
07:26 But friends, they are not gonna die again
07:27 they are gonna live throughout their ceaseless ages of eternity
07:30 because they are gonna--
07:31 they have received the gift of eternal life,
07:34 immortal life through Jesus Christ, their Lord.
07:37 Can you say, amen?
07:38 Its all about you friends, but if I die before Jesus comes
07:41 I want to come up in this first resurrection.
07:43 Can you say, amen?
07:44 And once again the only way we can come up
07:46 is if we were blessed and Holy
07:48 and the only way we can be blessed and Holy
07:50 is if we have accepted
07:51 the righteousness of the blessed and holy one, Jesus Christ.
07:56 And so those who come up in this first resurrection
07:58 Bible says, we will reign with the Lord Jesus
08:01 for 1,000 years.
08:03 This is the first resurrection.
08:05 The which resurrection?
08:07 It's the resurrection of the righteous.
08:09 In fact, notice the apostle Paul agrees with this.
08:11 Notice what it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17.
08:16 The Bible says, "For the Lord himself
08:18 shall descend from heaven with a shout,
08:21 with the voice of the archangel,
08:23 and with the trump of God
08:24 and the dead in Christ shall rise" what?
08:28 "First."
08:29 That's the first resurrection.
08:31 It's the resurrection of the dead that are in Christ.
08:34 It's the righteous, friends.
08:36 It says that when Jesus comes He is gonna give a shout,
08:39 the trumpets are gonna sound,
08:41 the angels will call
08:43 and friends, it's gonna be so loud
08:45 that those who are sleeping in the grave are gonna wake up.
08:48 The dead in Christ shall rise.
08:49 And then notice Verse 17,
08:51 "Then we which are alive and remain"
08:54 In other words, those of us who are living
08:55 in the very last days
08:57 "We which are alive and remain
08:59 shall be caught up together with them" where?
09:04 "In the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air,
09:06 and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
09:08 The Bible tells us, that when the dead in Christ rise
09:12 and resurrect from the grave
09:13 that are sent to meet the Lord in the air
09:14 that those who are living in the last days,
09:16 the righteous will ascend to meet the Lord in the air
09:18 and we are gonna go to heaven together
09:21 at the very same time.
09:23 Oh, friends on that glorious
09:25 getting up morning some people say
09:27 is gonna be very well, friends.
09:29 The trumpet is going to sound
09:31 and graves are gonna split wide open
09:33 and families that have been separated by death
09:36 are gonna be reunited in life
09:38 never to be separated again
09:40 through the ceaseless ages of eternity.
09:42 Oh, friend, I can't wait for this day, amen? Amen.
09:44 You know, we lose our loved ones and our heart breaks.
09:47 We miss our loved ones, our parents
09:49 and our grandparents
09:50 and our family members and friends,
09:52 we can't see them right now
09:54 because they are sleeping but don't worry Jesus will come
09:57 and when He comes death itself
09:59 is going to die
10:01 at the glorious resurrection of Christ.
10:03 And then the Bible says, 1 Corinthians 15:52, 53,
10:07 it says "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
10:10 at the last trump, for the trumpet shall sound,
10:13 and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
10:16 and we shall be changed.
10:18 For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
10:21 and this mortal must put on immortality."
10:24 The Bible says, that is as we accent
10:25 to meet the Lord in the air
10:26 we are gonna be changed in a twinkling of an eye.
10:29 Friends, we are gonna receive a brand new incorruptible
10:32 immortal body free from aches and pains,
10:35 headaches and heartaches no more cancer,
10:37 no more diabetes, no more any type of diseases
10:40 a brand new body of immortality and eternal youth.
10:44 Oh friends, I can't wait for my new body how about you?
10:47 As I mentioned before, you know, sometimes we look in the mirror
10:49 and we don't like what we see
10:51 but in heaven we are gonna love it, amen.
10:53 We are gonna receive a brand new body.
10:55 And friends, according to this passage
10:57 we see very clearly that immortality is a gift
11:01 given by God to God's people when?
11:06 At the resurrection when Jesus comes.
11:08 In other words, there is no such thing as immortal soul,
11:11 we don't have immortality in ourselves.
11:14 When we die it's that what it is,
11:16 its death, friends.
11:18 The soul does not live on in a state of cautiousness
11:21 because the soul is not immortal.
11:23 Immortality is only given to the righteous
11:26 as a gift from God at the resurrection
11:28 when Jesus comes,
11:29 our brand new immortal body
11:31 the Bible calls this the first resurrection,
11:35 it is the resurrection of life that Jesus assured us of.
11:40 And friends, if that's clear would you please say, amen?
11:43 Now the next question is this,
11:45 what happens to the wicked when Jesus comes?
11:48 What about those who don't believe
11:49 and those who have rejected the gift of God
11:52 when Jesus comes are they gonna have a second change
11:55 if they are not ready for that first time?
11:57 Well, friends the Bible does not teach
11:58 that there will be a second chance
12:00 Bible makes it clear that when Jesus comes
12:02 probation is already closed.
12:04 He if is unjust will remain in that condition still.
12:07 In fact, notice what's gonna happen to the wicked
12:09 in 2 Thessalonians 1:7, 8.
12:12 It says that, "The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven
12:14 with his mighty angels" in what?
12:16 "Flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God,
12:21 and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus."
12:24 The Bible tells us, that the coming of Christ
12:27 to the wicked will be like a flaming fire
12:30 the brightens and the power of the glory of God
12:33 the light of His glory is going to consume
12:35 it's gonna destroy the wicked
12:37 that doesn't sound like a second chance, friends.
12:40 No such thing is a second chance when Jesus comes.
12:43 In fact, it says in 2 Thessalonians 2:8
12:47 "And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
12:49 whom the Lord shall" what is that word right there?
12:52 "Consume."
12:53 I want you to remember that word consume.
12:54 In fact, you may want to write it down.
12:56 When Jesus comes the Bible says,
12:58 the wicked are gonna be consumed.
13:00 It says, "And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
13:02 whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth,
13:05 and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:"
13:10 You see the coming of Jesus is gonna be so bright,
13:14 so powerful, so glorious
13:16 that the wicked are going to be consumed
13:18 by the brightness of the glory of God.
13:21 They are going to be slain by the coming of Jesus.
13:24 And then the Bible tells us
13:25 the feast of the fowls will commence.
13:27 We studied this before in Luke 17:37 Jesus said,
13:31 that "Where there is a dead body,
13:32 there the vultures will gather."
13:35 That's the feast of the fowls
13:36 and friends, that a very graphic scene
13:38 the Bible puts-- puts this --
13:41 God puts this in His word to show us
13:43 what the faith of the wicked is going to be like.
13:46 And then notice what it says in Jeremiah 25:33,
13:51 Jeremiah saw this event in prophetic vision
13:54 and notice how he describes it in Jeremiah 25:33.
13:58 It says, "And the slain of the Lord
14:01 shall be at that day from one end of the" what?
14:05 "Earth even unto the other end of the earth,
14:08 they" talking about the wicked "they shall not be lamented,"
14:11 in other words, no one is gonna cry over them.
14:13 "Neither gathered,
14:15 nor buried they shall be dung upon the ground."
14:19 Now friends, when the Bible tells us
14:20 that the wicked are slain by coming of Jesus
14:23 and no one is gonna lament over them
14:26 or gather their bodies to burry them
14:28 why is that--why is that no one is gonna lament
14:31 or have a funeral service
14:33 for the slain bodies of the wicked when Jesus comes?
14:37 Well, friends, remember
14:38 where is everyone when Jesus comes?
14:41 The reason why there is no funeral services
14:43 for the wicked is because all the righteous are in heaven
14:47 and all the wicked are slain.
14:48 In fact, if you are to break up the word,
14:51 you could break it up into four main groups
14:54 when Jesus comes.
14:55 How many?
14:56 Four.
14:57 The righteous dead, the righteous living.
15:00 The wicked dead and the wicked living.
15:02 And let's review what happens to these four different groups
15:05 when Jesus comes?
15:06 We saw very clearly that the righteous dead
15:08 when Jesus comes are resurrected from the grave.
15:12 They ascend to meet the Lord in the air.
15:14 The righteous living when Jesus comes
15:16 also are caught up together with them in the clouds
15:19 also to meet the Lord in the air
15:20 and so all the righteous are gonna ascend to meet Jesus
15:24 and they are gonna go to heaven to reign with Him
15:27 for the first 1,000 years.
15:29 But the wicked who are living
15:31 when Jesus comes are slain by the brightness of His coming
15:35 and the wicked dead simply remain dead
15:39 until the second resurrection
15:41 that take place at the end of the 1,000 years.
15:45 And that's the reason why
15:47 no one is gonna descended bodies of the wicked,
15:50 no one is gonna have a funeral service for them
15:53 because everyone that is righteous in heaven
15:55 and all the wicked are slain upon the earth.
15:58 And friends, if that's clear would you please say, amen?
16:01 Now having said that I have to tell you
16:03 that there is going to be a small special resurrection
16:07 of the wicked dead when Jesus comes.
16:09 Remember in Revelation 1:7
16:12 Jesus said, or the Bible says, "Behold, He cometh with clouds,
16:16 and every eye shall see Him,
16:18 and they also which, remember pierced Him."
16:22 And so those who pierced Jesus
16:24 those who let out in the crucifixion of Christ,
16:29 those wicked people are going to be momentarily resurrected
16:33 to see that the very one
16:34 they hung Him to cross was indeed the Son of God
16:38 the Savior of the word and Jesus also said that
16:41 in Matthew 26:64 you can write that down preferably.
16:44 And so we find that there is a small special resurrection
16:47 of the wicked who are dead,
16:49 those who pierced the Lord
16:51 those who part took in the crucifixion of Christ
16:53 they are gonna see that the one they rejected
16:55 was indeed the anointed Messiah the Savior of the world.
16:58 And then it's at this point
17:01 that Satan is going to be cast into the bottomless pit
17:05 for the next 1,000 years.
17:08 Notice what the Bible says,
17:09 Revelation 20:2, 3 we go back to the prophecy
17:12 we are studying tonight.
17:14 Verse 2 and 3 it says, "And he laid hold on the dragon,
17:17 that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan,
17:19 and bound him" how long?
17:22 "Thousand years, and cast him" where?
17:25 "Into the bottomless pit, and shut him up,
17:28 and set a seal upon him, that he should" do what?
17:32 "Deceive the nations no more,
17:35 till the thousand years should be fulfilled,
17:37 but and after that he should be loosed a little season."
17:41 And so we find that it's the second coming of Christ
17:45 that begins the bounding of Satan for 1,000 years
17:50 into the bottomless pit.
17:52 Now what does this mean?
17:54 Friends, when the Bible tells us
17:55 that Satan is gonna be bound
17:58 does that mean that he is going to be bound
18:00 by a literal physical chain?
18:04 Question, is it possible for Satan
18:06 who is a supernatural being to be bound by a literal chain?
18:10 The answer is, no.
18:11 You see, this chain
18:12 that it's talking about in Revelation 20
18:15 is not a literal chain
18:16 but rather it is a chain of circumstance.
18:19 A chain of what?
18:21 Let me give you the evidence.
18:23 In the Book of Mark Chapter 5 we read the story about a man
18:27 that was possessed with demons.
18:29 You can write it down, Mark 5:1-4
18:32 a man that was possessed by Demons
18:35 and those demons in him were so strong
18:37 that that man was could not be bound by literal chain
18:40 the Bible says, that he broke the chains.
18:42 Now friends, think about it
18:43 if a man that is possessed by the devil
18:45 can't be bound by a literal chain
18:47 how much more Satan himself
18:48 cannot be bound by a literal chain.
18:51 Are you with me?
18:52 You see, Satan is a supernatural being.
18:55 He can walk through odds, so this is not a literal chain.
18:58 Well, what is it mean then?
18:59 It's a chain of circumstance.
19:01 In other words, his circumstances
19:04 are binding him
19:06 from going out to deceive the nations.
19:09 He can't deceive he can't do his work of deception why,
19:13 because of his circumstances.
19:15 Why is that he can't device the nations,
19:16 because we are the nations.
19:18 All the righteous are in heaven
19:21 and all the wicked are simply dead.
19:24 And so his circumstances are not permitting him to deceive
19:28 because there is no one to deceive
19:30 for the next 1,000 years.
19:32 Have you ever used that expression
19:33 when some one asks you
19:34 or invites you to go with them some place
19:36 and you are super busy you have things going on,
19:39 and you say to that person oh, I can't come,
19:40 I can't do that I'm all tied up.
19:42 Have you said ever before, I'm all tied up.
19:44 Well, what do you mean when you say I'm all tied up?
19:46 Are you literally tied up with a little rope or chain?
19:48 What do you mean by that?
19:50 Your circumstances are limiting you
19:53 from going and doing what you are being asked to do
19:56 and that's the expression that we are seeing here
19:58 in Revelation 20,
19:59 He is bound by a chain of circumstance
20:01 he has no one to temp,
20:03 no one to bother for the next 1,000 years.
20:06 All he can do is think about all the crimes
20:10 and the sins that he is ever committed,
20:12 no one to temp, no one to deceive,
20:14 bound by a chain of circumstance for the next 1,000 years.
20:20 And friends, if that make sense would you please say, amen?
20:22 Now, where was he bound though, do you remember?
20:25 It says, he was cast into the bottomless pit.
20:29 Now, where and what exactly is the bottomless pit?
20:33 Is that a pit with no bottomless that Satan just keeps falling?
20:36 No friends, if you are to look up
20:37 at this expression the bottomless pit,
20:40 in the original Greek language it is the Greek word Abussos.
20:44 Can you say that?
20:45 And that's the word by which we get the English word Abyss
20:49 and the literal Greek definition of the expression bottomless pit
20:54 it literally means write it down,
20:56 a place that is without form and void.
21:00 A place that is what?
21:03 So it's no so much a pit with no bottom
21:04 but rather Satan is bound
21:06 in a place that is without form or void.
21:09 And friends,
21:11 this is the same description of the earth
21:15 before God came and spoke life into existence.
21:20 I want you notice in Genesis 1:2
21:23 before God created light before He created the trees
21:27 and the flowers and the earth and the fishes
21:30 and the birds and the animals and man,
21:32 this world was a bottomless pit without form and void.
21:36 Notice what it says in Genesis 1:2
21:38 "And the earth was without form, and void
21:41 and darkness was upon the face of the deep."
21:44 In other words, when Jesus comes this world,
21:46 planet earth is going to be turned into a bottom less pits.
21:50 It's going to be completely destroyed at the coming of Jesus
21:53 and so Satan is bound upon this world
21:56 in a desolate earth for the next 1,000 years.
22:00 In fact, notice, Jeremiah saw this time period in vision
22:03 and he described it in these words,
22:05 Jeremiah 4:23-26 please write it down,
22:09 the Bible says, "I beheld the earth" the what?
22:12 "The earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void."
22:16 In other words, it was the bottomless pit.
22:18 "And the heavens, and they had no light.
22:21 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled,
22:24 and all the hills moved lightly.
22:25 I beheld, and lo, there was no" what?
22:29 Why was there no man during this time period?
22:30 Where is everyone?
22:31 All the righteous are in heaven
22:33 and all the wicked are slain
22:35 so during this time period during the 1,000 years
22:37 I saw no man.
22:39 "And all the birds of the heavens were fled.
22:42 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness,
22:44 and all the cities thereof were broken down
22:47 at the presence of" who?
22:50 "The Lord, and by His fierce anger."
22:52 So we find very clearly that when Jesus comes
22:55 when the presence of the Lord returns
22:57 this world is going to be destroyed.
22:59 All the cities are going to be leveled
23:01 and this beautiful world that we live in
23:04 is going to be turned into a bottomless pit
23:06 a great Abyss a place that is with out form and void
23:09 and now Satan has to spend the next 1,000 years
23:13 on a desolate earth bound by a chain of circumstance
23:18 with no one to temp, nothing to do
23:21 but think about all the crimes that he has committed.
23:24 And friends, here we find that
23:25 this is the beginning of Satan's reign of darkness.
23:29 You see, the devil wanted to be ruler
23:30 over the world, isn't that right?
23:32 He wanted to be god,
23:34 he wanted to be the creator
23:35 he wanted the worship that belongs only to God alone.
23:39 He wanted absolute control.
23:41 He said this is my territory
23:43 and so now during the 1,000 years,
23:45 God gives him absolute control over the world.
23:48 Why?
23:49 So that the universe might be able to see
23:51 what kind of kingdom Satan's kingdom would be
23:54 when he has absolute control.
23:57 And when you look upon the kingdom of Satan
23:58 it is a kingdom of destruction, darkness, emptiness and death.
24:05 And so we find Satan reign for 1,000 years
24:09 in this desolate earth.
24:11 If he is god let us see him create the world again.
24:16 If he is truly god like he wanted to be
24:18 let's see him create a light
24:21 but Satan can't even create a flashlight, isn't that right?
24:24 All he could do is think about his crimes.
24:27 Oh, friends, the--this is the destiny
24:32 of those who choose to be subjects of Satan's kingdom.
24:36 I want to be a subject of his kingdom amen,
24:39 let's choose Jesus as our king today
24:43 and we don't have to be in there in that kingdom of darkness
24:45 and destruction during that 1,000 year period.
24:48 And so we find clearly,
24:49 Satan bound by circumstance on a desolate earth
24:53 for the next 1,000 years.
24:55 And friends, if this is making sense
24:56 if that's clear would you please say, amen?
24:58 Now, the next question is this, what about the righteous?
25:01 Where are they and what are they doing
25:03 during the 1,000 years?
25:05 Well, we know that the righteous are in heaven
25:07 reigning with Christ.
25:08 Notice what it says in Revelation 20:6
25:11 "They shall be priests of God and of Christ,
25:13 and shall reign with him a thousand years."
25:16 What are they gonna be doing
25:17 for the first 1,000 years in heaven.
25:19 Notice in verse 3, it says verse 4,
25:23 "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them,
25:26 and judgment was committed to them."
25:29 What was committed to the saints?
25:31 Judgment.
25:33 And so for the first 1,000 years in heaven
25:36 the Bible tells us that saints the judgment is committed
25:39 or given to their hands.
25:40 Now this is exactly what the apostle Paul
25:42 told us, as well.
25:43 Notice in 1Corinthians 6:2, 3
25:46 the apostle Paul speaking to the New Testament
25:48 Christian church.
25:49 He said to them, "Do ye not know that the saints shall" do what,
25:55 "Judge the world?
25:56 Know ye not that we shall judge" who?
25:59 "Angels?"
26:00 And when will the saints judge the world
26:01 and judge the fallen angels?
26:03 During the first thousand years in heaven.
26:06 Judgment is committed to them.
26:08 Now the next logical question that you are asking is this,
26:11 why is judgment committed to the saints?
26:15 You see friends, it's not that the saints
26:17 are judging people in the sense
26:18 that they are determining who saved and lost.
26:21 That has already been determined before Jesus came.
26:25 But when it says that judgment is committed to the saints
26:28 it simply means that God is going to allow the saints,
26:31 the righteous to examine the judgment of God.
26:36 In other words, to audit the books,
26:39 the records in the judgment.
26:42 You see the reason for this is
26:43 because when we get to heaven
26:45 there is gonna be three main surprises.
26:48 How many surprises?
26:50 The first surprise when we get to heaven is that you are there.
26:53 Can you say, amen?
26:55 And that's gonna be a wonderful surprise.
26:57 The second surprise when we get to heaven,
27:00 is we are gonna start to look for people
27:02 who we thought surely would be there
27:05 but lo and behold they are not there.
27:08 They are missing and we are gonna be having questions why?
27:12 Where is this person?
27:13 How come they are not saved?
27:15 May be a pastor, may be an evangelist God forbid.
27:19 May be someone that knocked on your door
27:21 and gave you Bible studies,
27:22 may be a parent that prayed for you
27:24 that looked so godly may be a brother
27:26 or a sister that--that there was all witness to you
27:29 and you thought these, these people
27:31 I'm mean, they are so godly
27:32 they had a walk with Jesus surely there gonna be heaven
27:35 and you begin to look for those people
27:36 and they are not there, they are missing
27:39 and you are gonna wonder.
27:40 Why, where is this person God, what happened?
27:43 And so God for the first 1,000 years in heaven
27:45 is gonna give an opportunity to examine the books,
27:49 the judgment the record of that person's life.
27:54 Because you see friends, man looks on the outward appears
27:57 and we can deceive one another outwardly very easily.
28:00 Isn't that right?
28:01 But more than the outward appearance
28:02 the Bible says that God looks upon the heart,
28:04 He knows what individuals are really like in secret
28:07 and in the darkness.
28:09 And so during the 1,000 years
28:11 the questions are gonna be answered
28:13 as we examine the judgment
28:15 it's we are auditing the books of God
28:18 and that what's the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 4:5.
28:23 Notice what it says,
28:24 the apostle wrote to the New Testament church,
28:27 "Therefore judge nothing before the time."
28:31 You see, right now on this world
28:32 we are not to judge one another
28:34 and judge one another's hearts.
28:35 Can you say, amen?
28:37 But Paul said, "Judge nothing before the time."
28:40 Why, because there will be a time
28:42 in which we will be able to judge
28:44 and examine people's hearts.
28:46 When is that, notice, "Judge nothing before the time,
28:49 until the Lord come."
28:52 In other words, when Jesus comes
28:53 for the first 1,000 years in heaven
28:54 we will be able to look at the judgment.
28:56 And then it says, "Until the Lord come,
28:59 who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness,
29:04 and will make manifest" what?
29:06 "The counsels of the hearts,
29:09 and then shall every man have praise of God."
29:13 And so we see friends, during the first 1,000 years
29:17 as we examine the judgment we are gonna see
29:19 what people were really like.
29:21 We are gonna have series questions for God
29:23 and they will be answered as we examine the judgment
29:25 and during this time will be fulfill the words
29:28 of Ecclesiastes 12:14
29:30 that "God shall bring every work into judgment,
29:34 with every secret thing, whether it be good,
29:38 or whether it be evil."
29:40 In other words, we will look at the life
29:41 the record of life of individuals
29:44 and the record will show that
29:45 even though that person had an outward piety,
29:48 to look spiritual outwardly
29:49 there are some secret sin that they clung to in their heart.
29:52 There are some cherished ideal that they wouldn't give up
29:55 and the record will show that those individuals are lost
29:58 not because God didn't love them,
30:00 not because God was not fair
30:02 because the record will also reveal
30:04 how many opportunities that individual had to be saved.
30:10 Every prayer that was prayed on behalf of that person
30:12 is recording in the judgment.
30:14 Every time, they were invited to church,
30:17 every time they heard a sermon,
30:19 every opportunity that God reached out to them in love
30:21 but the record also-- also show every excuse they made.
30:26 Every time they rationalize the truth away.
30:28 Every time they comprise and said to themselves
30:30 oh, this is a little thing God won't mind this.
30:32 I can hold on to this and still be saved.
30:34 You see friends, the greatest deception is self deception.
30:38 And so the record was shown why people are lost
30:42 but it also show that God did everything
30:45 He possibly could to save. Can you say, amen?
30:50 And friends, when the books are open
30:54 examine by the righteous,
30:57 every secret thing will be reviled.
31:00 And friends, I don't know about you
31:02 but I don't want anyone to read my book.
31:06 I have done some terrible things in my life.
31:09 Friends, I have sinned much.
31:12 I'm a rotten sinner.
31:15 If you knew some of the things I did in my past
31:17 I wouldn't be able to look you in the eye.
31:20 But I'm so grateful friends,
31:21 that tonight Jesus wants to cover the record of our sins
31:25 with His precious blood and righteousness.
31:28 Could you say, amen?
31:29 And so I want my book to be covered
31:31 with the perfect life of Jesus
31:33 and friends, it can be
31:35 as we accept Him by faith tonight.
31:38 Could you say, amen?
31:40 If you don't accept Him everything is gonna be exposed
31:42 but when we see God's justice
31:44 and fairness and love and the judgment
31:46 then we are exclaim to God a prayer like this,
31:49 "Even so, Lord, God Almighty,
31:52 true and righteous are your judgments."
31:54 In other words, God yes, you did everything
31:55 you can save individuals.
31:57 They are lost not because of You
31:59 but, because they have chosen to be lost.
32:01 I forgot to tell you about
32:02 the third surprise when we get to heaven.
32:03 You know what the third surprise is?
32:05 Surprise number one, you are there.
32:08 Number two, people you thought would be there are not there.
32:11 Number three, you are gonna see people in heaven
32:14 who are such a rascals
32:17 that you wrote them off as hopeless cases.
32:21 There are gonna be some people that you are gonna see in heaven
32:24 they were such terrible people in this world
32:26 and Lord behold there they are
32:29 and you are gonna be wondering why.
32:32 You are gonna say God, God, are you sure about that one?
32:37 Lord, I remember that person
32:39 oh, that person was Kolohe,
32:41 that person was a rascal, that person was no good
32:43 are You sure you are gonna miss something on this one.
32:47 And God will show the record of life of that individual
32:50 that sometime in that person's life
32:51 they have accepted the mercy and the grace of God
32:54 and they were saved by the grace of Jesus.
32:56 Can you say, amen?
32:57 And even other questions perhaps
32:59 you lost the loved one
33:01 and you are saying God, why did you allow it to happen?
33:03 You can't understand
33:04 why God allowed that tragedy take place in your life.
33:07 Well, for the first 1,000 years in heaven God will show you why.
33:09 He will show you the circumstances
33:10 what took place behind the scenes.
33:13 Whatever tragedy you face friends,
33:15 every doubt, every question will be settled
33:18 for the first 1,000 years in heaven.
33:20 And friends, I can't wait
33:21 for that time period how about you?
33:23 And so we see that during the 1,000 years in heaven
33:26 the righteous are reigning with Christ in heaven
33:30 going over the records
33:31 while Satan is bound on a desolate earth
33:33 with no one to tempt.
33:35 Now would this be the end of the showdown?
33:38 Notice what happens next
33:39 the Bible says that,
33:42 "The whole land shall be desolate,
33:44 yet will I not make a" what? "Full end."
33:48 You see friends, this is not the end of the showdown
33:50 why because at the end of the 1,000 years
33:54 Satan sentence still must be executed.
33:57 And so notice what happens at the end of the 1,000 years
33:59 as we go back now to Revelation 20:7, 8.
34:02 And friends, do you see the sequence
34:04 it's more dramatic than any movie
34:05 that Hollywood can make.
34:07 Picture this in your mind,
34:08 Bible says, "And when the thousand years are expired
34:11 Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
34:14 and shall go out" to do what?
34:16 "To deceive the nations." What nations?
34:19 I though all the righteous were in heaven
34:21 and all the wicked were dead.
34:22 What is it mean now that he can deceive the nations?
34:25 Oh, friends, at this time
34:27 the second resurrection will take place.
34:29 Notice in Verse 5,
34:30 it says, "But the rest of the dead
34:32 did not live again
34:34 until the thousand years were finished."
34:36 In other words, at the end of the 1,000 years
34:38 the dead the wicked are gonna live again.
34:40 This is what Jesus called
34:42 the resurrection of do you remember?
34:44 Damnation.
34:45 It happens at the end of the 1,000 years
34:48 during the final judgment.
34:50 And so notice this chart on the screen.
34:52 The first resurrection of the righteous
34:53 takes place when Jesus comes
34:55 that begins the one thousand year prison sentence of Satan.
34:59 During that time the Satan is in heaven
35:00 and during that time
35:01 Satan is bound on a desolate earth
35:03 then when the 1,000 years are finished at the end of it
35:06 will be the second resurrection
35:07 the resurrection of damnation this happens
35:10 and at that time
35:11 the final execution of judgment upon Satan and the wicked
35:15 will take place.
35:16 So now, Satan is loose from his chain of circumstance
35:19 and he goes out to deceive all the wicked people.
35:23 And friends, I believe that one of his deceptions
35:24 he will say to the wicked that are resurrected
35:26 he will say to them I'm your god.
35:28 I'm the one that gave you life.
35:30 I have called you from the grave
35:32 you are my servants and I'm your master
35:35 he is going out to deceive the nations.
35:39 And friends, this shows us
35:41 that even after having 1,000 years
35:44 to think about all the crimes and sins
35:46 that he has committed and instigated
35:48 Satan is still unrepentant, unchanged.
35:51 He is still the same old devil.
35:55 And that will settle anyone questions what they say,
35:57 may be if God just gave him some time to think about it,
36:00 may be he would change?
36:01 No, friends, this prophecy shows that Satan he has gone too far.
36:06 His conscience has been seared.
36:08 His heart is hard like rock
36:09 and his pride will not permit him
36:12 to admit that he is wrong.
36:13 He is stubborn even to the very end
36:16 and he goes out to deceive the nations.
36:18 Now I want to notice what happens
36:19 as the wicked are resurrected in the second resurrection.
36:22 Now, the holy city New Jerusalem comes down from heaven
36:25 Revelation 21:2 says,
36:27 "That I John, saw the holy city New Jerusalem."
36:31 What is the holy city called?
36:33 "Coming down out of heaven from God prepared as a bride
36:37 adorned for her husband."
36:38 Here we find the New Jerusalem descends from heaven to earth.
36:42 God is moving His capital
36:43 New Jerusalem from heaven to earth.
36:46 Now the drama of the ages is coming to a close
36:49 the end of the great controversy is at hand,
36:51 this friends, is the final showdown
36:55 between good and evil.
36:57 Now as the holy city descends
36:59 filled that all the righteous saints on the inside
37:02 notice what the wicked would do
37:03 when they are resurrected with Satan.
37:05 it says,
37:07 "And they went up on the breath of the earth
37:10 and surrounded the camp of the saints
37:12 and the beloved city."
37:14 Here we find the wicked with Satan
37:16 as their master general
37:17 begins to surround the holy city of God.
37:20 And friends, I can imagine on this day
37:22 the wicked military leaders are there
37:25 like Hitler, Napoleon and Stalin
37:27 and now the wicked are marching into companies
37:29 and they begin to surround the city of God.
37:32 Satan deceives them and he points at the city
37:34 and he says to them that's our city,
37:37 this is our last chance
37:39 we need to take it right now or its too late.
37:43 And now we find that the wicked
37:46 whose number is like the sand of the sea.
37:50 Can you imagine that?
37:51 He surrounds the city of God
37:53 and now they try to take by force
37:57 that which God once offered to them freely in love.
38:04 And friends, this is such a dramatic event
38:05 let's think about it just for a moment.
38:08 I can image as the wicked surround the city of God.
38:12 The numbers like the sand of the sea
38:14 I can image as they get close to the walls,
38:17 close to the New Jerusalem.
38:20 Friends, do you know those walls are transparent.
38:24 In other words, the Bible tells us
38:25 you can see right through the walls.
38:28 And I could imagine a husband
38:30 on the outside of the wall
38:32 and he comes near and he looks in
38:33 and there inside the city is his godly wife
38:38 the one that prayed for him,
38:40 one that kept inviting him to church
38:43 but he was too busy at home watching television,
38:46 separated by wall. Can you imagine?
38:49 I can imagine young children, young people, teenagers
38:52 coming close to the wall
38:53 and they look in the city of God the heavenly Jerusalem
38:56 and there their parents are,
38:59 the parents that prayed for them
39:01 but these young people thought that they were too cool
39:04 for the religion of their parents.
39:06 They thought that the world had more fun than Jesus
39:10 and now they are on the outside
39:11 looking in and all have they want to be on the inside
39:15 but there is no open door, it's too late.
39:20 Brother on the outside sister on the inside,
39:23 parents on the outside children on the inside.
39:25 Friends, let me ask you
39:26 which side of the wall are you gonna be on?
39:29 Are you going to be on the outside looking in
39:31 or are you going to be on the inside looking out?
39:33 Friends, which sides of the wall do you want to be on this day?
39:37 Friends, I don't know about you
39:39 but I want to be on the inside looking out.
39:41 Can you imagine the regret
39:44 that those on the outside are going to have
39:45 when they see what they miss out on?
39:48 They are looking into the kingdom of God
39:50 they see the beauty and the glories of heaven
39:52 they see all that God wanted to give them.
39:58 What does God do this, people ask?
40:01 Is God just trying to rub it in their face?
40:05 Friends, God is not cruel?
40:07 The main reason why the Lord resurrects the wicked
40:11 in the second resurrection at the end of the 1,000 years
40:13 is for their sake.
40:15 You know, why?
40:17 Because there are some people that are going to be lost
40:19 who thought deep down in their heart
40:21 that they are gonna be saved.
40:24 They are gonna be-- they are gonna be some people
40:26 who are gonna be on the outside of the walls
40:28 believing in their hearts
40:29 that they should have been on the inside
40:31 they could be people
40:33 who will come up in the second resurrection
40:35 thinking it's the first resurrection
40:37 and then they are gonna realize
40:39 that they have been sleeping of 1,000 years too long
40:42 and they are gonna have questions
40:43 God why am I lost?
40:45 They are gonna say in that day Lord, Lord,
40:47 haven't I prophesied in Your name?
40:50 Haven't I've done many wonderful works in your name?
40:52 Haven't I cast out devil?
40:54 Lord, I believed in You.
40:56 I professed Your name.
40:58 Why am I lost?
41:00 You see, they don't even know their own hearts.
41:03 The greatest deception is self deception.
41:06 And friends, what a tragedy
41:08 to think they were all right when we were all wrong
41:10 and that's the reason why the Bible tells us
41:13 that we need to examine ourselves
41:16 to look a little bit deeper
41:18 and say Lord, search my heart
41:20 because sometimes we are like Peter
41:22 saying to Jesus Lord I'm ready to die for You.
41:24 Every one else is gonna forsake You but not me Lord,
41:26 I'm gonna die with You
41:27 and before the night was over
41:29 that same disciple is denying Jesus three times.
41:33 He thought himself strong
41:36 but he was weak, friends.
41:38 And that's the reason why
41:40 we must search deeply into our hearts.
41:43 We must say Lord,
41:44 is there something in my life that is hurting You?
41:48 Is there some secret sin that I'm not aware
41:50 of revile it to me and remove it from my life Lord,
41:53 give me victory and cleanse me of all my sin.
41:56 Can you say, amen?
41:58 And so God resurrects them in the second resurrection
42:00 to show them the record of their own lives.
42:03 The wicked will see their own hearts
42:07 and the record will show
42:09 that all the compromises they have made,
42:12 every time they rationalize the truth away.
42:14 But friends, the record also show
42:16 just how much God worked with them
42:19 and how God didn't give up on them,
42:21 and how God bore long
42:22 and suffered long with them in that--
42:25 the record of the life
42:26 every prayer those offer from them will be recorded
42:28 and they will see.
42:29 Every time they were invited will be there,
42:31 every opportunity to be given
42:33 will be shown very clearly in the record
42:35 and the wicked will see
42:36 that they are lost not because God doesn't love them
42:39 the record shows just how much He does.
42:41 They are gonna see their lost not
42:42 because God didn't give them a fair chance
42:44 because He is given in chance after chance
42:46 but wicked will see that they are lost
42:48 because they have chosen to be lost.
42:51 They've rejected the gift of God
42:53 and they rationalize and compromise the truth away.
42:58 And friends, can you imagine the regret
43:00 that the wicked will experience.
43:02 They are gonna see everything
43:03 that they have allowed to stand in the way of salvation.
43:07 And now they are filled with unbearable regret
43:10 because of the foolish choices of their lives
43:12 and the wait of their regret
43:14 is gonna be so heavy upon them
43:18 that they are gonna fall to their knees
43:21 and then will be fulfill
43:23 the words of the Bible where it says,
43:25 that every knee shall bow
43:29 and every tough will confess
43:31 that Jesus is the Lord and that God is love.
43:37 The wicked as well as Satan himself
43:39 they are gonna bow and acknowledge,
43:40 yes, God you are right the record shows
43:42 that You are right all along but you are just God,
43:45 a merciful God, a loving God.
43:47 You did everything You could to try to save us
43:49 but you are not a God of force
43:50 and You will never force yourself upon us
43:52 and therefore because we have the freedom to choose
43:54 the record shows that we have chosen to be lost.
43:57 Yes, Lord, the eternal destruction
43:59 is a just punishment for the sins
44:02 that we have committed
44:03 and thus the character of God is exonerating.
44:06 Now before the wicked
44:08 his name is cleared now
44:10 before the whole universe
44:11 and when its finally cleared
44:13 its only then the God can finally irradiate evil
44:17 from the universe once in for all.
44:19 And so friends, as the wicked see what they missed that on
44:22 and they see that they had every opportunity
44:25 and they see every excuse they made
44:26 as they fill will unbearable regret.
44:29 They now realize that the sin that they choose
44:32 made them unfit to dwell in the presence of God
44:35 and now they are eternally separated.
44:38 Eternally what? From the life given.
44:41 Friends, when you are separated from the life giver.
44:43 If God is the source of life
44:45 and you are cut off from that
44:47 what happens as a natural result?
44:50 Death, friends.
44:52 Friends, it's not as if God is angry being addictive
44:55 and He wants to get back at the wicked
44:58 No, friends, their sin has destroyed them.
45:01 They have cut themselves off from the source of life.
45:04 They are filled with unbearable remorse and regret
45:07 and in the mist of these dreadful thoughts
45:09 its then that the Bible says
45:11 that, "Fire came down from God
45:13 out of heaven and devoured them."
45:16 Yes brother and sisters,
45:18 the Bible calls the second death.
45:22 The which death?
45:24 A death without any hope of a resurrection.
45:27 The death that cannot see beyond the two.
45:31 This is the penalty for sin, friends.
45:34 The Bible say that in the mist of the dreadful thoughts
45:36 of being separated eternally from their --
45:38 their Creator that there will be totally annihilated
45:42 from the universe.
45:43 And friends, this is what hell begins to burn
45:45 this is when the experience of hell is realized.
45:48 You see friends, hell is not burning right now
45:50 some where in the middle of the earth.
45:52 Thus-- the Bible doesn't teach that, friends.
45:55 That came from Greek Hellenistic philosophy
45:59 and we are gonna study that more in detail
46:00 tomorrow night friends, don't miss it.
46:02 The Bible says that this is the second death.
46:04 Oh, friends, if Satan is gonna be destroyed in this fire?
46:07 Absolutely, yes.
46:09 Satan is not going to be
46:10 the superintendent of hell friends,
46:12 he is going to be fuel for the fire.
46:14 The Bible says in verse 10
46:15 that "The devil that deceived him was also cast
46:18 into the lake of fire and brimstone."
46:21 This friends, is the second death.
46:24 And friends, many people have a distorted view of hell.
46:27 Many people have a totally
46:28 unbiblical understanding of what hell
46:30 and the destruction of the wicked is really like.
46:32 And so friends, we are gonna study
46:33 in detail tomorrow, but let me give you the short version
46:35 what really is hell? Friends, listen,
46:38 hell was not so much defiled.
46:41 Most of the times you find the word hell in the Bible
46:44 it's the word Hades which mean the grave
46:47 which simply means death.
46:50 And so hell was not really the fire
46:52 what hell really is the wicked
46:54 seeing the reward that they could have had,
46:58 seeing every opportunity God gave them to receive it
47:01 and then realizing that the sin that they have chosen
47:03 and allowed they have allowed to destruct them from Jesus
47:09 it caused them to be loss.
47:11 And friends, in that days
47:12 sin will no longer look attractive.
47:14 In this day the wicked are gonna curse the sin
47:18 that separated them from God.
47:20 They are gonna want to let it go.
47:21 You see friends, everyone is gonna
47:22 want to give up sin one day
47:24 but for most people they are gonna want to do
47:25 when it is too late.
47:30 Now, the experience the mental anguish
47:33 of unbearable regret.
47:36 Friends, what hell is,
47:38 is eternal separation from our Creator.
47:41 Is the weight of the regret and guilt
47:45 and friends, the fire that comes to devour
47:48 and destroy the wicked that fire friends, is a blessed.
47:52 It's a what? You know, why?
47:54 Because that fire is a sweet release
47:58 from the mental anguish
48:01 and the unbearable regret and remorse
48:05 of those who have chosen to be lost.
48:07 In other words, the fire is gonna
48:08 put them out of their misery.
48:11 So the fire is really a blessing.
48:14 And friends, is God going to rejoice
48:16 when this day takes place?
48:17 Is God gonna say, yes, there you have it.
48:20 No friends, God is going to weep bitterly.
48:26 Why? Because now God has to live for eternity
48:30 without some of His kids,
48:33 some of the people, His children that He loved so much.
48:38 His heart is gonna break, friends.
48:40 You see the last blow is not God given it to the wicked
48:44 no it's the wicked given it God.
48:46 You see His heart is gonna break, friends.
48:48 The Bible tells us
48:51 "For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies,
48:56 says the Lord God wherefore turn yourselves, and live."
49:01 God, please, return to me and live.
49:08 But God will never force us to turn, friends.
49:10 He is too much a gentlemen to force himself upon us.
49:14 We choose our own destiny.
49:16 The Lord says, I have set before you life and death,
49:19 blessing and cursing choose life that both you
49:22 and your seed, your children may live.
49:26 Friends, if we don't Him, we don't have to have Him.
49:30 That's exactly what happens.
49:31 So look at friends, I know that this serious and solemn.
49:34 But the next question is this,
49:36 will the wicked burn forever?
49:40 Well, friends,
49:42 we don't have the time to talk about that tonight,
49:44 tomorrow evening we are gonna talk about
49:46 the unquenchable love of God,
49:48 God's love in hell fire its gonna be crystal clear.
49:52 We are gonna look at almost every verse
49:53 from Genies to Revelation that deals with this topic
49:56 so that the Lord Jesus through His word
49:58 can free us from the confusing counterfeit of Satan
50:02 when it talks about what Hell is really like.
50:05 And so friends, don't miss it that's tomorrow evening.
50:07 But let me just give you two verses on this.
50:09 The fire comes down and it says
50:10 it devours the wicked. It does what?
50:13 Now, what is that word devour mean?
50:15 Friends, if you put some food in front of me
50:18 if I'm hungry I'm going to devour it.
50:21 And if I devour it, what does that mean?
50:23 Is there gonna be anything left?
50:25 Friends, to devour something means
50:27 it's all gone, there is nothing left
50:29 and that's what gonna happen to the wicked after the fire.
50:31 Notice it says in Psalms 37:20
50:34 "But the wicked shall perish,
50:36 and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs,
50:38 they shall consume? into what?
50:41 "Into smoke shall they consume away."
50:44 The fire is gonna burn them up, friends.
50:45 They are gonna be consumed into smoke completely devoured
50:48 and then Obadiah 1:16 tells us talking about the wicked,
50:52 "And they shall be as though they had" what?
50:57 "Never been."
50:58 In other words, the wicked are gonna be
50:59 completely destroyed
51:01 this is the second death
51:04 a death without any hope of a resurrection.
51:07 And friends, we see that the--
51:08 the fire that consumes the wicked like eyes
51:11 that fire is going to purify the world
51:15 and the universe of all evil sin and suffering
51:18 and that's what the Bible says in 2 Peter 3:10
51:21 notice what it says, we are almost finished.
51:22 It says, "The heaven shall pass away with the great noise,
51:27 and the elements shall melt with fervent heat,
51:30 the earth," the what?
51:32 "The earth also and the works that are therein
51:34 shall be burned up."
51:35 well, when is the earth gonna be burnt up and purified?
51:38 At the end of the 1,000 years
51:39 the wicked are gonna be totally annihilated,
51:42 the world is going to be purified by fire
51:45 and out of the ashes of the old world
51:47 God is gonna cerate a new heavens and a new earth.
51:51 Notice what it says in verse 13,
51:53 the Bible tells us
51:55 it says, "Nevertheless we, according to his promise,
51:57 look for a new heavens and a new earth,
52:00 wherein dwells righteousness."
52:02 In other words, God is gonna make all things new
52:04 and then will be fulfilled the words
52:06 of Jesus in Matthew 5:5,
52:08 "Blessed are the meek for the meek
52:09 shall inherit the earth."
52:11 You see friends, for the first 1,000 years in heaven
52:14 that's the honeymoon
52:15 but the new earth is happily ever after with Jesus.
52:20 Could you say, amen?
52:21 And some people ask for
52:22 if my loved once don't make it
52:24 am I gonna cry miss them forever?
52:25 Not at all friends,
52:27 because then will fulfilled the words in Revelation 21:4
52:30 let's read it together. Shall we?
52:31 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes,
52:35 and there shall be no more death,
52:38 neither sorrow, nor crying,
52:41 neither shall there be any more pain,
52:43 for the former things are passed away."
52:46 No more painful memories are going to bother us.
52:51 All the pain and the sorrow and the suffering of death
52:53 would dissipate like dew before the morning sun.
52:56 All we have is an eternity of bless
52:59 and joy and happiness and rest and satisfaction.
53:03 Oh, friends, I want to be ready for this day,
53:05 how about you?
53:06 Tonight, the Lord Jesus is telling us through His word
53:09 that I'm soon to come.
53:12 Jesus is coming again friends,
53:14 soon this sky is gonna split wide open
53:17 and we will see the King of Kings
53:18 and Lord of Lords returning to take us home.
53:21 And friends, is there anything more important in your life
53:25 than to be ready for the coming of Jesus?
53:28 Which side of the wall are you gonna be on?
53:31 Who you are gonna spend the 1,000 years with?
53:33 Are you gonna spend it with Jesus in heaven
53:37 or you are gonna spend it here on a desolate earth with Satan?
53:40 Tonight we choose our destiny.
53:42 And friends, I want to be with Jesus, how about you?
53:45 If you want to be with Jesus for eternity
53:47 let me hear you say, amen.
53:49 But friends, listen it's so easy to say amen with our words
53:52 the question is does your life say, amen?
53:57 Does your life say the same?
53:59 The choices we make day by day,
54:01 is it communing to God? Yes, Lord,
54:03 heaven is more important to me than this world.
54:05 Being with You is more important than family
54:07 and friends and jobs and relationships.
54:10 Does your life say amen friends,
54:14 because talk is cheap.
54:15 Tonight, God is calling for us
54:17 to surrender everything to Jesus
54:20 to put Him number one in our life,
54:23 to make Him first last and best in every thing that we do,
54:29 in every choice that we make Jesus must come first.
54:34 So tonight, I want my life to say, amen.
54:40 Yes, Lord, I want to be with You for eternity, amen.
54:46 Our last question is this,
54:49 what enables us to be ready for the coming of Jesus?
54:54 What enables us to live forever with Christ?
54:59 What enables us to enter into the New Jerusalem?
55:02 What enables us to be spared from the second death?
55:06 What enables us to be saved?
55:07 Friends, here is my last point of this message
55:09 and perhaps the most important point of the entire seminar.
55:12 Listen very carefully friends,
55:14 tell me where did Jesus die?
55:18 Where did He die?
55:20 He died on Mount Calvary on a hill far away
55:25 on an old rugged cross.
55:28 And in relation to Jerusalem where was the cross?
55:31 Was it on the inside of Jerusalem or on the outside?
55:34 Friends, Jesus died on the outside of the city
55:40 on dead man's hill the place of the cross.
55:45 And friends, the question we need to ask tonight is
55:48 what kind of death did Jesus die?
55:51 Did He died the first death,
55:54 did He died the second death?
55:56 Oh, friends, many people like to argue about it but
55:58 let me just say this before I share with you
56:00 what I believe the Bible clearly teaches
56:04 that the death of Jesus
56:05 is more than a human mind even comprehend.
56:08 How much Jesus sacrificed and gave for us
56:12 is something that we are going to be studying
56:15 throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity,
56:17 the signs of salvation will never sees to amaze us.
56:23 The Bible does give us a glimpse
56:25 of the price that Jesus paid. Friends,
56:28 which death did Jesus died the first or the second?
56:31 We are to answer that or you have to ask
56:33 is did Jesus pay the full wages of sin?
56:38 Did He pay the full wages of sin?
56:40 Absolutely, yes.
56:42 He paid it all, friends.
56:44 He paid our debt in full
56:48 and He did it for the entire human race.
56:52 But what is the wages of sin, let's find out.
56:55 Romans 6:23 tells us
56:58 "For the wages of sin is death,
57:02 but the gift of God is" what kind of life?
57:05 "Eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
57:07 Now friends, I want to notice the structure of this verse.
57:09 The Bible says that the wages of sin is death,
57:12 but the gift of God is eternal life.
57:14 What type of death is referring to?
57:16 Friends, contextually and structurally
57:19 in contrast to eternal life that is the gift from God,
57:24 in contrast to eternal life
57:27 the wages of sin is on eternal death.
57:32 It's the second death it's a permanent death,
57:36 a death with out any hope of a resurrection.
57:39 Friends, Jesus died a second death.
57:43 And friends, this makes sense you know why,
57:46 because it was an eternal law that was broken.
57:49 God's law is eternal,
57:51 an eternal law was broken
57:52 therefore the wages of broken and eternal law
57:55 is on eternal death.
57:56 Eternal death, God's law is the law of love,
57:59 life and liberty and to break this law
58:02 would result in selfishness, slavery and eternal death.
58:05 Sin brings about an eternal punishment
58:08 in eternal separation from God.
58:11 And friends, you can only pay on eternal death
58:14 if you first have an eternal life.
58:19 And that's one of the reasons
58:20 why an angel could not die for us,
58:23 because an angel doesn't have an eternal life.
58:24 An angle is a created being.
58:27 You see Jesus himself one that was equal with God
58:30 had to pay for the full wages of sin came to His own,
58:37 His own received Him not,
58:39 He was smitten over and over again so that we could be saved.
58:43 He took our curse, so that we could have His blessing.
58:47 He wore our crown of thorns
58:49 so that we could wear His crown of life.
58:51 He carried the cross
58:53 so that we could sit with Him on the throne
58:56 and He died on the outside of Jerusalem
59:03 so that we could live
59:05 on the inside of the New Jerusalem.
