00:14 Well, good morning and happy Sabbath.
00:16 Happy Sabbath.
00:18 It's good to see you all nicely dressed.
00:21 You look so elegant and the ladies look pretty.
00:26 This morning we are going to study,
00:28 we're going to begin our study of the sixth trumpet.
00:32 However, before we study the sixth trumpet,
00:34 we need to deal with some structural matters,
00:38 the sequence of events that we find
00:41 not only in the trumpets,
00:43 but in Revelation 8 through Revelation 15.
00:46 But before we do,
00:48 we want to ask for the Lord's guidance
00:50 in our study today.
00:51 So let's pray.
00:53 Father in heaven,
00:54 thank You for the good night's rest.
00:56 Thank You that we're able to enjoy
00:59 this entire day of Sabbath rest,
01:02 and fellowship together and worship to You.
01:05 We ask that as we study this lesson,
01:07 that Your Holy Spirit will be with us
01:09 to give us understanding,
01:11 because we know that the Book of Daniel says
01:14 that in the end time, the wise will understand
01:17 and we want Your wisdom.
01:19 So we ask for Your presence, in the precious name of Jesus.
01:23 Amen.
01:24 Amen.
01:25 All right.
01:27 Let's review the trumpets.
01:30 What is the first trumpet?
01:33 What event?
01:34 The destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70.
01:37 What is the second trumpet?
01:40 It is the fall of the Roman Empire
01:42 by the barbarian invasions.
01:45 What is the third trumpet?
01:47 The third trumpet is when apostasy begins
01:51 creeping into the church in the days of Constantine.
01:55 What is the fourth trumpet?
01:58 The fourth trumpet is a period of the 1260 years
02:01 of papal dominion where the sun, moon and stars,
02:05 Christ, the scriptures, and God's people are eclipsed.
02:11 What does the fifth trumpet represent?
02:13 The fifth trumpet represents the French Revolution.
02:17 Now I'm going to jump over the sixth trumpet.
02:19 And I'm going to go beyond the sixth trumpet.
02:23 What happens right before the seventh trumpet sounds?
02:28 Probation closes, right?
02:31 And then you have this, the time of trouble.
02:34 And after the time of trouble,
02:36 God's people are delivered which is what?
02:38 The sounding of the seventh trumpet.
02:40 So why did I jump?
02:42 For a very simple reason.
02:44 If the fifth trumpet is the French Revolution,
02:48 and when the seventh trumpet is about to sound?
02:53 Before the seventh trumpet,
02:55 where do we place the sixth trumpet?
02:59 It has to be between the French Revolution
03:02 between 1798 and when?
03:06 And right before probation closes.
03:09 Are you with me or not?
03:11 This is very important.
03:12 The chronology is very important.
03:14 The order of events is very important.
03:15 So clearly by the sequence that we've studied,
03:19 the sixth trumpet falls between when the fifth trumpet blows
03:24 which is the French Revolution,
03:25 and that culminates
03:27 with the captivity of the pope in 1798.
03:29 And when the seventh trumpet is about to sound
03:32 which is the close of probation.
03:33 So the events of the sixth trumpet
03:35 are from 1798 to the close of probation.
03:39 Is that when the little book is opened?
03:42 Yes.
03:43 Now let's look at this a little bit more in detail.
03:47 I've given you a page,
03:49 and I'll give it to Ilene to clean it up,
03:52 so you have a nicer copy.
03:53 But this was a last minute thing, Ilene,
03:57 so that people don't have to scribble notes
03:59 and we take more time than what we need to take.
04:02 So notice the page that I gave you this morning.
04:07 Revelation Chapter 8.
04:08 Revelation 8:12.
04:12 Revelation 8:12, tells us,
04:15 "Then the fourth angel sounded:
04:16 And a third of the sun was struck,
04:18 and a third of the moon,
04:19 and a third of the stars,
04:21 so that a third of them were darkened.
04:22 A third of the day did not shine,
04:24 and likewise the night."
04:27 So, there you have the fourth trumpet
04:28 which is the period of papal dominion.
04:31 And then in verse 13,
04:33 you have the announcement of three woes.
04:35 It says there, "And I looked,
04:37 and I heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven,
04:40 saying with a loud voice, 'Woe, woe, woe
04:44 to the inhabitants of the earth,
04:45 because of the remaining blasts
04:47 of the trumpet of the three angels
04:50 who are about to sound!' "
04:52 So the three woes are what?
04:54 The last three trumpets.
04:56 Trumpet number five, six and seven.
04:58 Is that clear?
05:00 So, trumpets five,
05:02 six and seven are the three woes.
05:05 And they follow, of course,
05:06 the fourth trumpet which is which period?
05:09 The period of papal supremacy.
05:12 And then in Revelation 9:1-11, you have the fifth trumpet.
05:19 What does the fifth trumpet represent?
05:21 The French Revolution.
05:23 Which woe is that?
05:24 That's the first woe.
05:26 How do we know that?
05:27 Well, because in 9:12, when that trumpet ends,
05:31 when the fifth trumpet ends, it says, one woe is passed,
05:35 behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.
05:40 Are you with me?
05:41 So Revelation 9:1-11, the fifth trumpet,
05:45 the French Revolution is the first woe.
05:48 Then in Revelation 9:13-21, those are the following verses.
05:54 You have which trumpet?
05:56 The sixth trumpet, and we're going to see
05:58 that the sixth trumpet describes
06:00 the gathering of the wicked
06:02 to attack God's people in the end time.
06:05 And then in Revelation 10:1 through Revelation 11:1,
06:12 you have the gathering of what?
06:14 You have the gathering of the righteous,
06:16 that's the little book episode.
06:17 Are you with me or not?
06:19 So the sixth trumpet is the gathering of the wicked
06:22 for the end time crisis.
06:24 Revelation 10:1 through 11:1
06:26 is the gathering of the righteous
06:28 for the end time crisis.
06:30 So Revelation 11:1 ends
06:33 with the gathering of the righteous,
06:35 it ends with the remnant, right?
06:37 Now, Revelation 11:2-3 takes us back where?
06:43 To the fourth trumpet.
06:46 Are you following me?
06:47 Because it mentions the two witnesses
06:50 that are going to prophesy in sackcloth
06:53 for 1260 days or 42 months.
06:56 Is that the fourth trumpet?
06:58 Yes.
06:59 So Revelation 11:2-3 is taking us back.
07:02 We're studying the structure here.
07:05 So it takes us back.
07:07 And then what do we find in Revelation 11:7-10?
07:12 The fifth trumpet, the French Revolution.
07:15 Are you with me or not?
07:16 So we have cycles here.
07:18 And then in Revelation 11:11-13,
07:22 what happens with the two witnesses
07:24 that were killed in the French Revolution?
07:26 Now they resurrect,
07:28 and you have a remnant that what?
07:31 Fears God and gives glory to Him?
07:35 Are you following me or not?
07:37 Yes.
07:38 So what does Revelation 11:11-13 end with?
07:41 Once again with the remnant.
07:45 And then I want you to notice that in Revelation 11:14,
07:51 after you have a view of the wicked,
07:52 and you have a view of the righteous,
07:54 then in verse 14 of Revelation Chapter 11,
07:59 it says, "The second woe is past, behold,
08:03 the third woe is coming quickly."
08:07 So what is the second woe?
08:09 The second woe is the sixth trumpet.
08:11 The gathering of the wicked for an attack,
08:14 a final attack on God's kingdom, God's people.
08:18 Revelation 10 describes the gathering of the righteous
08:21 as the other army to face the enemies.
08:25 So then, in Revelation 12:1-5,
08:30 you have a woman who's clothed with the sun,
08:33 she has the moon under her feet,
08:35 and she has a crown of 12 stars.
08:39 And you have a dragon that wants to kill a child
08:42 that is going to be born from the woman.
08:43 What does this woman represent?
08:46 She represents the church.
08:48 The Old Testament Church or the New Testament Church?
08:51 Well, when John sees her, she's the Old Testament Church.
08:54 You say, "Why is that?"
08:56 Because the child hasn't been born yet.
08:59 You can't have a New Testament Church
09:00 before the child is born.
09:02 Did the woman exist before the child?
09:04 That's a dumb question?
09:05 Yes.
09:07 So did the church exist in the Old Testament?
09:09 Of course.
09:10 Did 12 patriarchs establish the Old Testament Church?
09:14 Yes, that's why you have the crown
09:16 with 12 stars.
09:17 How about the New Testament Church?
09:19 Does the woman later flee to the wilderness?
09:21 So is that the New Testament Church?
09:23 How many were the founders of the New Testament Church?
09:25 Twelve.
09:27 So how many churches does God have in history?
09:30 One just for the Jews and the other for the Gentiles,
09:33 and then you have the rapture?
09:35 No, no.
09:37 There's one people of God throughout all of history,
09:41 is that clear?
09:42 So Revelation 12 takes us back where?
09:46 It takes us back to the time when Jesus was born.
09:50 And then it moves on to the fourth trumpet.
09:56 Are you following me?
09:58 You say, "How do we know that?"
09:59 Well, let's read verse 6, Revelation 12:6, it says,
10:03 then the woman after, in other words,
10:05 after Jesus goes to heaven, He gains the victory.
10:08 It says in verse 6,
10:09 "Then the woman fled into the wilderness,
10:11 where she was, has a place prepared by God,
10:14 that they should feed her there 1260 days."
10:18 Is that the same period of the fourth trumpet?
10:21 Absolutely.
10:22 And then verses 13 through 15 tells us,
10:25 "Now the dragon saw
10:27 that when he had been cast to the earth,"
10:29 which Jesus did, when He died on the cross,
10:31 he persecuted the woman
10:33 who gave birth to the male Child.
10:34 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle,
10:37 that she might fly into the wilderness
10:38 to her place,
10:40 where she is nourished for a time
10:41 and times and half a time
10:43 from the presence of the serpent."
10:45 So what is the next stage after pagan Rome
10:50 tries to slay the child,
10:52 but the child escapes and goes to God's throne?
10:55 It's the fourth trumpet.
10:57 The time times and dividing of time
10:59 and the 1260 days.
11:00 Are you following me or not?
11:03 Now, however, then you have Revelation 12:17,
11:10 verses 13 through 16 describe the 1260 years.
11:14 But Revelation 12:17, once it bring,
11:17 once again brings to view what?
11:20 The remnant.
11:21 Are you noticing that all these cycles
11:24 end with the remnant?
11:25 Notice Revelation 12:17,
11:27 "And the dragon was enraged with the woman."
11:29 Is that the same as the sixth trumpet
11:31 where there's this horde that comes from the abyss?
11:34 And you know, they're led by Satan.
11:39 Is that the same picture?
11:41 Yes.
11:42 "And the dragon was enraged with the woman,
11:44 and went to make war with the remnant, better,
11:48 remnant of her seed,
11:49 who keep the commandments of God
11:51 and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."
11:55 Are you following him a bit?
11:57 Are you following this?
11:58 See, the structure of Revelation is tricky.
12:02 I mean, you know,
12:03 we can't only study symbols and, you know,
12:06 just read isolated verses,
12:08 we have to look at how the Book of Revelation
12:10 was organized.
12:12 So it ends with the remnant.
12:13 And then in Chapter 13, let's go to 13:1-2.
12:18 "Then I stood on the sand of the sea.
12:19 And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea,
12:21 having seven heads and ten horns,
12:23 and on his horns ten crowns,
12:25 and on his heads a blasphemous name.
12:27 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard,
12:30 his feet were like the feet of a bear,
12:32 his mouth like the mouth of a lion."
12:34 This is looking towards the past, right?
12:37 "The dragon gave him his power,
12:39 his throne, and great authority."
12:42 What does the dragon here represent?
12:44 Satan, yes, but it's the same dragon
12:46 that tried to slay whom?
12:48 The male Child that we noticed in Chapter 12.
12:52 So pagan Rome now gives its power to what?
12:56 To papal Rome.
12:57 And then in verse 3 through verse 9,
13:01 you have the same history of the fourth trumpet.
13:06 Is this making sense?
13:08 The same period of the fourth trumpet.
13:10 You say, "How do we know that?"
13:12 Well, because in Revelation 13:5,
13:14 it says, "And he was given a mouth speaking great things
13:17 and blasphemies,
13:19 and he was given authority to continue for," how long?
13:22 "For 42 months."
13:26 Clear? Yes.
13:28 So is that the fourth trumpet?
13:29 Yes.
13:31 What would you expect to be the fifth trumpet?
13:33 Would it be next in line?
13:35 Well, let's read verse 10.
13:37 It says in verse 10,
13:39 "He who leads into captivity..."
13:40 Who is it that led into captivity?
13:43 The beast, right?
13:44 "He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity,
13:48 he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword."
13:52 What do we call that?
13:53 The deadly wound.
13:55 Who gave the papacy the deadly wound?
13:57 France.
13:59 So is that the fifth trumpet?
14:01 Yeah, that's the fifth trumpet, right?
14:03 And then I want you to notice that you have
14:07 a picture of the enemies of the end time.
14:11 We have a beast that rises from the earth,
14:14 who has two horns like a lamb, but he speaks like a dragon.
14:18 Is that during the period of the sixth trumpet?
14:21 Yes or no? Yes.
14:22 How do we know that?
14:24 Because we just read in verse 10,
14:25 about the fifth trumpet, the deadly wound.
14:28 So this is describing
14:29 what is happening during the sixth trumpet.
14:32 And then I want you to notice after it depicts the wicked,
14:38 who are going to try
14:40 and destroy God's people, basically.
14:42 What do you have next in Revelation 14:1-5?
14:45 By the way, Revelation 14:1-5 belongs with Chapter 13.
14:52 It's the climax of Chapter 13.
14:56 You say, "Well, how do we know that?"
14:59 Well, because when Chapter 13 ends,
15:03 you find that this beast from the earth,
15:05 he forbids buying and selling.
15:10 He gives the mark of the beast.
15:12 He kills those who don't worship the image.
15:16 And so when Chapter 13 ends, you say,
15:18 "Well, was anybody faithful?
15:22 Did everybody followed the beast
15:24 and received the mark?"
15:26 What is the answer in Chapter 14?
15:28 Is there going to be a group that's victorious?
15:30 Yes.
15:31 That is what group?
15:35 God in 144,000.
15:37 So does this entire cycle end with the remnant?
15:40 Absolutely.
15:42 And then we go to the next cycle,
15:46 Revelation 14:6-12.
15:49 Revelation 14:6-12 takes you back in time,
15:54 to the moment when the three angels' messages
15:56 were proclaimed, to gather God's people on God's side.
16:01 Are you with me?
16:03 The purpose of the three angels is to gather
16:06 as many as possible in the world on God's side.
16:10 What trumpet would that be?
16:12 Chapter 14 begins with the sixth trumpet.
16:14 That's right.
16:16 You know, we've just seen a picture of the wicked.
16:18 Now there's a picture of the righteous.
16:20 And, you know, so you have the sixth trumpet,
16:22 the gathering of the righteous for the final battle.
16:27 And then in Revelation 14:14-19,
16:32 what do you have?
16:35 You have the close of probation.
16:37 You say, "Well,
16:39 what do you mean the close of probation?"
16:41 Well, Jesus is seen with sitting on a cloud
16:45 with a sickle in His hand, and what is He going to do?
16:48 He's going to harvest the earth.
16:52 And so, first of all, He harvests the righteous.
16:55 And then He harvests what?
16:58 The wicked and He throws them where?
17:01 Into the winepress, into the winepress.
17:04 So is this speaking about
17:06 a work of separation of judgment?
17:09 During which trumpet does a judgment take place?
17:12 It's taking place during the sixth trumpet.
17:15 So after every one is divided into the two groups,
17:19 what happens?
17:21 Probation closes, right?
17:24 And then verse 20 has a very interesting detail.
17:28 Verse 20, Revelation 14:20, after the separation,
17:32 that we find in verses 17 through 19.
17:36 You have the harvesting of the righteous,
17:38 and you have the harvesting of the wicked,
17:40 the wicked are thrown into the winepress.
17:43 You have a very strange verse, verse 20.
17:47 And the winepress...
17:49 Who is in the winepress?
17:51 The wicked, right.
17:53 "Was trampled outside the city," which city?
17:56 Jerusalem.
17:58 Which Jerusalem is this, the heavenly New Jerusalem?
18:01 No, we studied this yesterday.
18:03 What is Jerusalem
18:05 before the Second Coming of Christ?
18:07 It's the church.
18:09 So it says, "And the winepress where the wicked are gathered,
18:12 was trampled outside the city."
18:14 What are the wicked doing outside the city?
18:17 They came, they're on vacation.
18:18 No.
18:20 What did they come for?
18:22 They came to destroy those who are inside the city.
18:25 But what happens when they're going to do that?
18:27 It says, "And blood came out of the winepress."
18:30 This is symbolic language by the way.
18:33 Why does blood come out?
18:34 Because the grapes are going to be what?
18:36 Trampled.
18:37 We'll come to another passage in a moment.
18:39 And it says,
18:41 "And blood came out of the winepress,
18:42 up to the horses' bridles,
18:44 for one thousand six hundred furlongs."
18:48 So here you have horses trampling on what?
18:51 Trampling on the winepress
18:52 which symbolizes that they're trampling on whom?
18:55 On the wicked.
18:56 What event is being described here?
18:59 The Second Coming of Christ.
19:02 You say," Really?"
19:03 Well, let's go to Revelation 19.
19:05 What trumpet would this be?
19:08 No, no, no.
19:11 When does Jesus come to take over the kingdoms,
19:13 to destroy the wicked and save His people?
19:16 At the seventh trumpet?
19:18 Correct.
19:20 Notice Revelation 19:11.
19:22 Now we're gonna find out who are,
19:24 what the horses are
19:25 and why the garments of Jesus are stained in blood.
19:30 Verse 11, says, "Now I saw heaven opened,
19:32 and behold, a white horse.
19:35 And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True,
19:38 and in righteousness He judges and makes war."
19:42 Who is that who is seated on that horse?
19:44 It's Jesus.
19:45 What event is being described here?
19:48 The seventh trumpet, which is what?
19:50 The Second Coming of Christ.
19:52 He's coming to take over the kingdom.
19:54 Verse 12, "His eyes were like a flame of fire,
19:57 and on his head were many crowns.
19:59 He had a name written
20:01 that no one knew except Himself.
20:04 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood?
20:08 Why is His robe dipped in blood?
20:10 You have to go back to Isaiah 63, where Jesus says,
20:15 "I tread the winepress alone.
20:17 Nobody was with me."
20:18 And so He speaks about treading the winepress,
20:21 which represents treading the wicked.
20:23 What are the wicked wanting to do at this point?
20:25 They're wanting to destroy Christ people.
20:27 So now Jesus is coming on the white horse.
20:30 His garments are stained in blood
20:32 because He's coming to trample the winepress.
20:35 And by the way, do you know what the picture is here?
20:38 There are still places in Italy
20:40 where they make wine in this way.
20:43 They put the grapes in a great big...
20:48 tub.
20:49 And then the people get in the tub
20:51 with their bare feet, and they trample on the grapes.
20:55 And when they trample on the grapes,
20:57 the grape splatters onto their clothing,
20:59 and it looks like blood.
21:01 That's the picture here.
21:04 So it says then in, I'm continuing here.
21:07 Verse 13, "He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood,
21:09 and His name is called the Word of God."
21:12 Does He come by Himself
21:13 or does He come with other beings seated on horses?
21:18 Now we're going to know who is sitting on the horses
21:20 that tread the winepress.
21:22 It says in verse 14, "And the armies of heaven,
21:26 clothed in fine linen, white and clean," what?
21:30 "Followed Him on white horses."
21:33 And notice verse 15 connects
21:34 with what we read in Revelation 14:20.
21:37 "Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword,
21:40 that with it He should strike the nations.
21:43 And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron."
21:46 So is this talking about
21:47 when Jesus is going to take over the kingdom?
21:49 Yes.
21:51 And then it says, "He Himself treads the" what?
21:55 "The winepress of the fierceness
21:57 and wrath of Almighty God."
22:01 So does this passage here
22:04 contain the gathering of the righteous
22:06 during the sixth trumpet, the three angels' messages?
22:11 Do the wicked reject the three angels' messages?
22:14 Yes.
22:15 So one group accepts, the other group rejects.
22:20 And as a result,
22:21 what happens with in the judgment?
22:24 Well, by the decisions that are made,
22:27 you have two groups.
22:28 And what does Jesus do?
22:30 He performs the final work of judgment,
22:33 separating the harvest of the earth
22:36 from the grapes of the earth.
22:38 And then you have that,
22:40 by the way that happens just before
22:43 the seventh angel sounds.
22:45 And then you have what?
22:47 Jesus coming to take the kingdom,
22:49 that's the seventh trumpet.
22:51 But it doesn't end there.
22:53 It ends with the remnant.
22:55 Notice Revelation Chapter 15,
22:57 the very next chapter, verse two.
22:59 Revelation 15:2.
23:03 It says there, this is after, you know,
23:07 the horses trample the winepress outside the city,
23:09 which represents the wicked
23:10 that have gathered around the church to try
23:13 and destroy the church,
23:14 those who have accepted the three angels' message.
23:16 It says in Revelation 15:2,
23:18 "And I saw something like
23:19 a sea of glass mingled with fire,
23:22 and those who have the" what?
23:25 "Oh, the victory over the beast, over his image,
23:29 and over his mark,
23:30 and over the number of his name,
23:32 standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
23:36 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God,
23:38 and the song of the Lamb, saying,
23:40 'Great and marvelous are Your works,
23:42 Lord God Almighty, just and true are Your ways,
23:45 O King of the saints!
23:46 Who shall not fear you, O, Lord, and glorify Your name?
23:49 For You alone are holy,
23:51 for all nations shall come and worship before You."
23:56 Does the entire series
23:58 end once again with the remnant.
24:00 Yes.
24:01 So in each cycle, you end up with the remnant.
24:04 Revelation 10:1-11, remnant.
24:08 Revelation 11:11-13, remnant.
24:12 Revelation 12:17, remnant.
24:14 Revelation 14:1-5, remnant.
24:17 Revelation 15:2-4, remnant.
24:21 Are you catching the picture?
24:22 Yes.
24:24 So, you know, unless we know the structure,
24:27 folks, we are going to be so confused,
24:30 that we'll be worse than Confucius.
24:33 I mean, I don't know why they called him Confucius.
24:35 He was supposed to be very wise.
24:37 But anyway, we need to study the structure.
24:39 Now, once again, I'll mention, read pages 355 to 362,
24:44 where this is developed in detail.
24:47 You'll be able to understand it a lot better.
24:50 Now let's go to page 301.
24:53 In the light of what we've studied,
24:57 the sixth trumpet describes what?
25:00 The sixth trumpet describes the gathering of the wicked
25:05 for the end time crisis.
25:08 What occurs also during the sixth trumpet?
25:11 The little book is opened.
25:14 And God also calls His what?
25:17 His remnant to do battle with the wicked.
25:22 So in other words,
25:24 the sixth trumpet is the gathering of the wicked,
25:27 and the gathering of the righteous.
25:29 So with that in mind, let's go to page 301.
25:34 The sixth trumpet is a vivid description
25:37 of the gathering of the wicked
25:40 by Satan's three symbolic angels
25:43 for the final battle against God's remnant.
25:47 This final gathering which began in 1844.
25:52 With whom did it begin?
25:56 With the living or with the dead?
25:59 The judgment began with the dead
26:00 and it's been going on.
26:02 What group does the judgment end with?
26:05 The final remnant that's going to be alive,
26:07 that the wicked will surround to try
26:09 and destroy during the time of trouble.
26:11 So the final gathering,
26:13 which began in 1844 will intensify
26:15 until the close of probation.
26:17 Immediately before the close of probation,
26:20 when the seventh angel is about to blow his trumpet,
26:24 Satan will bring about a great, what?
26:28 Counterfeit Pentecostal revival.
26:31 You know, on Sabbath morning, I
26:33 like to turn on the television
26:36 to some of the religious channels.
26:39 And this morning, you know, I switch,
26:41 I go to the Hope channel,
26:42 and then I go to some of the other channels to see
26:44 if there's anything worthwhile,
26:46 and they had TD Jakes on.
26:48 It's just a great big show.
26:51 You know, it was amazing, I say, man,
26:53 and thousands gathered there, totally deceived.
26:59 It looked like it was Holy Spirit revival.
27:03 But it's not God's Spirit.
27:05 So Satan will bring about a great,
27:08 great counterfeit Pentecostal revival.
27:11 The purpose of this revival is what?
27:14 To preempt and counterfeit the genuine revival
27:19 that will take place
27:20 at the outpouring of the latter rain.
27:23 It will gather the wicked into what?
27:25 One body,
27:27 that's what the sixth trumpet is describing.
27:29 And we're going to study the sixth trumpet
27:31 this afternoon verse by verse, and you'll be able to see that.
27:35 Inspiration tells us that the false prophet,
27:39 which is what?
27:41 Apostate Protestantism will even make what?
27:45 Fire come down from heaven in the sight of men.
27:50 A miracle that parodies
27:53 the falling of fire from heaven,
27:56 in the days of whom?
27:58 You know, the false prophets of Baal
28:01 were not allowed to bring fire from heaven.
28:03 But this false Elijah at the end of time
28:05 is going to bring fire from heaven.
28:07 It's going to be a much greater counterfeit.
28:10 It also is a manifestation of the tongues of fire
28:15 that came down when?
28:17 On the day of Pentecost.
28:18 It's a false Pentecost in other words.
28:20 This gathering of the wicked during the sixth trumpet
28:24 is further amplified, and we just covered
28:26 this in Revelation, what?
28:28 12:17, the dragon was what?
28:31 Angry with the woman.
28:32 Revelation 13:11-18,
28:35 "The false prophet persecutes God's people."
28:38 Revelation 14, primarily, verse 20,
28:41 "The wicked gather around the holy city,
28:43 the church to destroy God's people."
28:46 And a passage that we haven't looked at yet,
28:48 Revelation 16:13-16.
28:53 Immediately after the conclusion
28:54 of the gathering of the wicked,
28:56 during the sixth trumpet, which is Revelation 9:21,
29:01 Chapter 10 presents what?
29:04 The flip side by going back in time
29:07 to describe the global gathering of what?
29:10 Of the righteous.
29:12 So the sixth trumpet is the gathering of what?
29:14 The wicked.
29:16 Revelation 10, the very next chapter
29:18 is the gathering of the righteous
29:21 by the message from where?
29:23 The little book.
29:25 Are you with me or not?
29:27 Now, we know that this judgment hour message
29:30 which began with events surrounding
29:32 the year 1844 is what?
29:35 So is this trumpet going to be global in scale?
29:40 Absolutely.
29:42 Because the angel places one foot on the land
29:44 and the other foot on the sea.
29:46 This gathering of the righteous in Revelation 10
29:50 is further developed where?
29:52 In Revelation 14:6-12,
29:55 which is the prophesying again of Revelation 10:11.
30:01 In the midst of Satan's counterfeit revival,
30:04 God will bring about a what?
30:07 A revival of primitive godliness among His people.
30:10 Which revival comes first, the revival of the wicked
30:13 or the revival of the righteous?
30:16 The revival of the wicked, folks,
30:18 that's the sixth trumpet.
30:21 Let's continue.
30:22 This message is known as the message of the what?
30:26 The fourth angel
30:28 who brings the final latter rain,
30:30 loud cry, revival of the Holy Spirit
30:33 to God's remnant.
30:35 The gathering of both the righteous and the wicked
30:37 is then further described in the harvest scene
30:41 of Revelation 14:14-20.
30:44 Remember that, we talked about that,
30:46 the separation of the harvest of the earth
30:52 from the grapes?
30:54 Now let's look at the structure
30:55 of Revelation 9:13 through 14:20.
30:58 Revelation 9:13-21.
31:02 This is the sixth trumpet.
31:04 What does it describe?
31:06 The gathering of the wicked from 1844
31:09 till the close of probation.
31:11 What does Revelation 10:1 to 11:1 describe?
31:15 The gathering of the righteous from 1844,
31:18 until the close of probation.
31:21 Then Revelation 12:17 and 13:11-18,
31:24 what does it describe?
31:26 The gathering of the wicked before the close of probation.
31:30 Satan was wroth with the woman and went to make war
31:33 with the woman, Revelation 12:17.
31:35 And that war is amplified where?
31:37 In Revelation 13,
31:39 this beast arises from the earth.
31:42 And then in Revelation 4:6-12,
31:46 you have the gathering of the what?
31:48 Of the righteous before the close of probation,
31:50 those who accept the three angels' message.
31:53 Then in Revelation 14:14-20,
31:57 the righteous and the wicked have been what?
32:01 Gathered inside and outside of the symbolic city,
32:05 spiritual Jerusalem.
32:08 Are you with me?
32:10 Yes.
32:11 Now, let's see what Ellen White had to say
32:14 about the two gatherings.
32:17 In the book, The Great Controversy,
32:18 page 464, Ellen White wrote,
32:22 "Notwithstanding the widespread declension of faith and piety,
32:28 there are true followers of Christ in these churches."
32:30 She's talking about
32:32 the Protestant churches primarily.
32:35 "Before the final visitation of God's judgments
32:37 upon the earth there will be among the people
32:41 of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness
32:45 as has not been witnessed since apostolic times.
32:50 The Spirit and power of God
32:52 will be poured out upon His children.
32:54 At that time many will separate themselves
32:56 from those churches in which the love of this world
32:59 has supplanted love for God and His word."
33:02 By the way, is the fourth angel's message
33:04 related to the first three?
33:05 Yeah.
33:07 What it does is it gives a boost to the first three.
33:11 It's like the first three kind of went on hold.
33:16 And then you have booster cables,
33:20 you know, to say, hey, people,
33:23 the three angels' messages
33:24 need to be proclaimed with power.
33:26 So she continues.
33:28 "At that time many will separate themselves
33:30 from those churches in which the love of this world
33:33 has supplanted the love for God and His word.
33:36 Many, both ministers and people,
33:40 will gladly accept those great truths
33:42 which God has caused to be proclaimed at this time
33:45 to prepare a people for the Lord's second coming."
33:48 Is this work accomplished by the three angels' message?
33:52 And the fourth angel that gives a boost
33:54 to the three angels' message?
33:55 Absolutely.
33:57 So the focus here is upon the righteous.
34:00 But now notice, does Satan also want to prevent
34:04 this from happening?
34:05 Yes.
34:07 So it says, the enemy of souls desires to hinder this work,
34:12 and before the time for such a movement shall come.
34:15 So which revival comes first?
34:19 The false revival comes first.
34:22 So would you expect in the Book of Revelation
34:25 to have the sixth trumpet be the false revival
34:27 and then Chapter 10 be the true revival?
34:32 The enemy souls desires to hinder this work,
34:35 and before the time for such a movement shall come,
34:37 he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a what?
34:41 A counterfeit in those churches
34:43 which he can bring under his deceptive power.
34:46 He will make it appear
34:47 that God's special blessing is poured out.
34:50 There will be manifest what is thought to be what?
34:54 A great religious interest.
34:58 Multitudes will exalt
34:59 that God is working marvelously for them
35:02 when the work is out of another spirit.
35:04 Under a religious disguise,
35:07 Satan will seek to extend his influence
35:10 over the Christian world.
35:11 So is the three angels' messages supposed to go
35:13 to the Christian world?
35:15 Yes, what will it do?
35:17 Thousands upon thousands will come up
35:19 and join the remnant.
35:21 But what is Satan doing at the same time?
35:24 Satan is gathering his people at the same time.
35:27 And he's actually doing
35:29 that before the true revival comes
35:31 because does the devil know
35:33 that there's going to be a true revival
35:35 and that the three angels' messages
35:36 are going to be boosted.
35:37 You better believe he knows that.
35:40 Now, Ellen White then focuses
35:41 upon the message of the righteous.
35:44 She writes, "Servants of God,
35:47 with their faces lighted up
35:49 and shining with holy consecration,
35:52 will hasten from place to place
35:54 to proclaim the message from heaven."
35:56 What message?
35:58 The three angels' messages
36:00 boosted by the loud cry of angel.
36:03 Thousands of voices all over the earth
36:06 will give the warning.
36:09 Praise the Lord that God established
36:10 a global Seventh-day Adventist Church.
36:12 That's why the message can be heard at this time
36:15 all over the world.
36:16 "Thousands of voices all over the earth
36:18 will give the warning.
36:20 Miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed,
36:23 and signs and wonders will follow the believers."
36:26 But now once again,
36:28 we see there's another gathering.
36:29 Satan also works with lying wonders,
36:34 even bringing down excuse me...
36:36 Fire from heaven.
36:37 Is that what we read about the false prophet?
36:40 That's an amplification.
36:42 Satan also works with lying wonders,
36:44 even bringing down fire from heaven
36:47 in the sight of men.
36:48 And then, is this gonna divide the world into two groups?
36:52 The harvest of the earth and the grapes, notice,
36:54 "Thus the inhabitants of the earth
36:56 will be brought to take their stand,
36:59 either on one side or on the other side.
37:02 And then what is Jesus going to do?
37:04 With a sickle, He is going to harvest
37:06 the harvest of the earth,
37:07 that's the righteous,
37:09 and the wicked are going to be thrown
37:11 into the winepress of the wrath of God.
37:13 That's the seven last plagues by the way?
37:16 Are you catching the picture?
37:20 Is the sixth trumpet describing the Muslims during the,
37:23 right after the Middle Ages?
37:25 Folks, it's a distraction.
37:29 It's a distraction from what God wants us to know
37:32 about the end time.
37:35 So this is not, you know, oh, the trumpets,
37:37 they're so hard to understand, who cares about the trumpets.
37:40 I care about the trumpets.
37:42 Because they are depicting what happens from 1844
37:46 to the close of probation.
37:48 Now, let's notice the relevance of Revelation 16:12-16.
37:56 We are to understand...
37:58 Are you understanding so far?
38:00 Okay.
38:01 We are to understand Revelation 16:12-16
38:07 as an enlargement and expansion of the sixth trumpet
38:10 in Revelation 9:13-21.
38:13 So, what I want you to understand now
38:16 is that Revelation 16:12-16,
38:19 which is describing the six plague,
38:22 is an amplification of the sixth trumpet.
38:25 And I know you're thinking, you'd say,
38:27 "But, Pastor, the sixth plague is after probation closes.
38:30 So how can you say that it's an amplification
38:33 of the sixth trumpet?"
38:34 Well, that's what we're going to pursue.
38:36 Because Revelation 16:12-16,
38:39 not everything in those verses is in chronological order.
38:44 Now, there are two facts that linked these two passages.
38:48 In other words, the sixth trumpet
38:50 and Revelation 16:12-16.
38:54 The first is a reference to the River Euphrates,
38:58 both the sixth trumpet and the sixth plague
39:02 mentioned the River Euphrates,
39:04 so must there be some kind of connection,
39:05 there must be.
39:07 The only two times in Revelation that explicitly
39:10 the Euphrates is mentioned by name.
39:13 The second link between the two is a reference to evil spirits
39:18 that are released, to go to the world
39:22 to gather the wicked against the remnant.
39:26 So are you catching the two similarities
39:28 between the sixth trumpet and the sixth plague?
39:31 You have one,
39:33 I mentioned of the River Euphrates,
39:35 and second, a releasing of evil spirits
39:39 to go to the whole world to gather the wicked
39:41 against the remnant.
39:43 These are the only passages in the Book of Revelation
39:46 that mentioned the River Euphrates by name.
39:49 However, we will notice that in Revelation 12:13-15,
39:54 you have a strong allusion to or hint
39:58 that the Euphrates is being referred to.
40:02 In order to understand the relationship
40:04 between these two passages,
40:05 that is the sixth trumpet in Revelation 9:13-21,
40:10 and Revelation 16:12-16.
40:13 We must go back to Revelation 12
40:17 to get a little historical context.
40:20 Revelation 12:13-15 tells us
40:24 that the dragon did what?
40:27 He spewed water out of his mouth,
40:31 like a river with an intention of what?
40:34 Of drowning God's faithful remnant
40:36 during which period?
40:39 Which trumpet is that?
40:42 During the fourth trumpet.
40:43 Let's read those verses Revelation 12:13-15.
40:48 Revelation 12:13-15.
40:51 "Now when the dragon saw
40:52 that he had been cast to the earth,
40:54 he persecuted the woman
40:55 who gave birth to the male Child."
40:57 Now the woman represents
40:58 the New Testament Church, right?
41:01 Because the child has already gone to heaven.
41:04 Verse 14, "But the woman was given two wings
41:07 of a great eagle, that she might fly
41:09 into the wilderness to her place,
41:11 where she is nourished for a time
41:12 and times and half a time,
41:14 from the presence of the serpent."
41:16 And now how does a serpent...
41:18 By the way, a serpent and dragon are the same, right?
41:20 The ancient serpent, the dragon,
41:22 the ancient serpent, the devil and Satan.
41:24 Revelation 12:7-9 tells us that.
41:29 So it says, "So the serpent..."
41:30 How does he tie to slay the woman?
41:34 "The serpent spewed water out of his mouth, like a" what?
41:38 "Like a flood after the woman,
41:41 that he might cause her
41:43 to be carried away by the" what?
41:45 "By the flood?
41:47 "What do the waters represent?
41:52 It represents multitudes, nations, tongues and peoples.
41:57 Which power is persecuting here?
42:02 Satan is, he's the dragon.
42:03 But what instrument is he using?
42:06 The papacy, the papacy.
42:08 You say, "How do we know that?"
42:10 Because it mentions time times and the dividing of time.
42:15 Are you following me or not?
42:17 So that's the fourth trumpet.
42:18 So the way that dragon is going to try
42:20 and slay the woman during this period,
42:22 during the fourth trumpet is by drowning her.
42:28 Are you following me?
42:31 Now let's go to the next page.
42:35 We have to go to Joshua Chapter 24 now.
42:38 What are the waters
42:40 with which the dragon wants to drown
42:42 the woman during the fourth trumpet?
42:45 Well, let's go back to Joshua Chapter 24.
42:51 Joshua Chapter 24.
42:54 And let's read several verses.
42:59 Verse 2,
43:01 "And Joshua said to all the people,
43:03 'Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'Your fathers,
43:05 including Terah, the father of Abraham
43:07 and the father of Nahor,
43:08 dwelt on the other side of the" what?
43:11 "Of the River."
43:13 The other side of the river.
43:16 What river is that?
43:19 There's a little number next to the river
43:21 in my New King James Version, it says, the Euphrates.
43:26 Notice verse 2, verse 3,
43:28 "Then I took your father Abraham
43:29 from the other side of the" what?
43:32 "Of the river."
43:34 What river is that?
43:35 The Euphrates.
43:37 Notice verse 14.
43:38 "Now therefore fear the Lord,
43:40 serve Him in sincerity and in truth,
43:41 and put away the gods
43:43 which your fathers served
43:44 on the other side of the river."
43:47 And verse 15 repeats.
43:49 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord,
43:51 choose for yourself this day whom you will serve,
43:54 whether the gods which your fathers served
43:56 that were on the other side of the river."
43:59 What is that river?
44:00 The river is the River Euphrates.
44:04 Now, the Euphrates is also called The Great River.
44:10 Is that significant, The Great River?
44:13 Yeah, because we're gonna see in Revelation Chapter 16,
44:16 that the sixth plague falls upon the great River Euphrates.
44:21 Notice Genesis 15:18.
44:25 Genesis 15:18.
44:29 It says there, "On the same day the Lord made a covenant
44:34 with Abraham, saying,
44:35 'Your descendants I have given this land,
44:37 from the river of Egypt," what river is that?
44:41 The Nile?
44:42 Yes, "to the great river, the River Euphrates.
44:48 So what is the Euphrates?
44:50 It is the great river.
44:53 Now, we are to understand that in Revelation Chapter 12,
44:57 the river is symbolic.
45:00 The waters are symbolic, right?
45:03 What do the waters represent?
45:05 They represent the peoples
45:07 that Satan used to try and kill the woman,
45:11 to try and destroy the church.
45:14 Now let's go to Isaiah 8:7.
45:17 Even the Old Testament gives us the concept that the river
45:21 represents armies that are intent
45:24 on destroying God's people.
45:26 Go with me to Isaiah 8:7-8.
45:31 Here, the king of Assyria is invading the land of Israel.
45:36 And he is compared to the flooding
45:40 of the River Euphrates.
45:42 It says there in Isaiah 8:7-8.
45:48 "Now therefore," this is Sennacherib,
45:51 the king of Assyria,
45:52 who is now invading the Holy Land,
45:54 and he comes to the city of Jerusalem,
45:57 and the water is swirling up to the neck
45:59 of the city symbolically.
46:01 It says, "Now therefore, behold,
46:03 the Lord brings up over them the waters of" what?
46:07 "The river."
46:09 Which one?
46:10 The Euphrates, "strong and mighty,"
46:13 what are the mighty and strong waters here
46:15 of the Euphrates?
46:17 "The king of Assyria and all his glory."
46:22 So what do the waters represent?
46:24 The king of Assyria and his armies.
46:27 "He will go up over all his channels."
46:30 What is he being compared to?
46:32 A flooding river.
46:34 "He will go up over all his channels
46:36 and go over all his banks.
46:40 He will pass through Judah, he will overflow and pass over,
46:45 he will reach up to the neck."
46:47 Now, when the water reaches the neck, folks,
46:50 you're pretty close to drowning.
46:55 Are you understanding this?
46:57 Now, in Revelation Chapter 12.
47:03 Let's go back there.
47:05 There's a couple of interesting details
47:07 that I want us to notice there in Revelation Chapter 12.
47:10 And once again, verse 15,
47:15 verse 15, it says there,
47:19 "So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth, like a" what?
47:26 "Like a flood."
47:27 Now, here's an interesting detail.
47:29 If you read the King James Version
47:32 of Joshua 24, where it says the river,
47:36 it says what?
47:38 The flood.
47:40 The flood.
47:41 What is the flood?
47:43 It's the Euphrates River.
47:45 It's the great Euphrates River.
47:48 So it says, "So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth
47:51 like a flood, after the woman that he might cause her
47:54 to be carried away by" what?
47:57 "To be carried away by the flood."
48:01 Now notice that translation of the English Standard Version
48:06 of Revelation 12:15-16.
48:09 You know, most modern versions translate instead of the flood,
48:12 they put the river, but the ESV captured that,
48:17 that this is really the flood.
48:19 This is the Euphrates River.
48:21 It says there in verse 15,
48:23 "The serpent poured water like a" what?
48:27 "Like a river, out of his mouth after the woman
48:31 to sweep her away with a" what?
48:34 "With a flood."
48:36 Incidentally, the word river that is used here,
48:39 the word flood that is used here,
48:40 which is the word river is the same word
48:43 that is used in the parable of the wise and foolish man.
48:50 So what happens with the foolish man?
48:54 It says the flood comes, same word river here.
48:59 So this is speaking,
49:01 Revelation 12 is speaking about the overflowing of which river?
49:05 The overflowing of the River Euphrates,
49:08 even though it's not mentioned by name.
49:10 And what is the intention of the River Euphrates?
49:14 The intention is to drown the church
49:17 during which trumpet?
49:20 During the period of the fourth trumpet.
49:23 Right?
49:26 Who comes to the rescue?
49:30 A certain territory somewhere.
49:34 A certain territory somewhere, not a nation.
49:39 There's no United States yet.
49:41 By the way, did the earth help the woman
49:44 during the 1260 years?
49:47 Yes, because it was in 1620.
49:51 What does, what happens?
49:53 It says, but the earth what?
49:56 Helped the woman, and what did the earth do?
49:59 The earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood
50:05 which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
50:09 In other words, what is this describing?
50:13 This is describing the fact that when the church
50:16 was being drowned in Europe,
50:21 there was a place called the earth
50:23 that gave the woman refuge.
50:26 Where was that?
50:28 The territory of the United States,
50:30 not the United States,
50:32 there was no United States back then.
50:34 Here, it only mentions the territory.
50:37 But listen carefully in Revelation Chapter 13.
50:40 It speaks about a beast that rises from the earth.
50:45 And now it is a nation
50:47 because a beast represents a nation.
50:49 Are you following me?
50:52 So let's notice at the bottom of page 304.
50:58 However, Revelation 12:17 explains that after persecution
51:02 ceased for a while, that dragon will again what?
51:07 Let's read verse 17.
51:09 Is there gonna be?
51:10 Are the waters gonna once again flow, so to speak?
51:16 Of course, because it says in verse 17, and the dragon,
51:20 is that the same dragon that spewed water
51:22 out of his mouth?
51:23 Yes, the dragon was enraged with a woman.
51:27 And he went to make what?
51:29 War.
51:30 Is that the sixth trumpet?
51:32 Yes, that's the Satan gathering his armies.
51:35 He went to make war with the remnant of her seed.
51:39 How many groups do you have in this verse?
51:42 Two.
51:44 You have the dragon, angry with the woman.
51:47 And you have what?
51:49 The remnant of her seed.
51:51 And what does the remnant do?
51:53 It keeps the commandments of God, and has what?
51:57 The testimony of Jesus Christ.
51:59 So here's my question.
52:02 After Revelation 12:17 explains that after persecution
52:06 ceased for a period.
52:08 Are we in that period
52:09 of where the persecution is still ceasing?
52:13 Yes.
52:14 Why?
52:16 Because the United States, the beast from the earth
52:18 has not yet helped the first beast
52:19 receive its power back.
52:23 The dragon will once again persecute
52:25 the remnant of her seed.
52:27 In other words, the remnant of Jesus.
52:30 There is another way of...
52:31 This is another way of saying that the dragon
52:34 will once again do what?
52:36 Spew waters of a symbolic
52:39 River Euphrates out of his mouth.
52:43 You say, "Well, that's speculation."
52:45 Wait.
52:47 We haven't dealt with Revelation 16 yet.
52:51 Now, Revelation 9:13-21
52:55 and 16:13-16 describe the time
52:59 when the waters of the Euphrates,
53:01 which were dried up by the democratic principles
53:04 of the United States, and the French Revolution,
53:07 by the way, will begin what?
53:09 Flowing again after the deadly wound is healed.
53:16 This will lead to oppressive enactments
53:18 against God's people.
53:20 Does the Bible describe the moment
53:23 when the harlot or the beast or the little horn
53:26 will once again sit on the waters
53:28 to slay God's people?
53:31 Revelation 17 further describes
53:34 how the waters of the Euphrates will flow once again,
53:39 under the dominion of the harlot
53:41 who sits where?
53:43 On many waters.
53:44 Which waters?
53:46 The Euphrates, you say,
53:47 but Revelation 17 doesn't mention the Euphrates.
53:50 Yes, but the heart of is called Babylon.
53:52 And Babylon's river was the Euphrates.
53:56 So where is the harlot sitting?
53:58 She's sitting on the Euphrates.
54:00 Are the waters flowing?
54:02 Oh, yeah, the waters are flowing.
54:04 She's dominant.
54:05 She's sitting on them.
54:06 They're dominating.
54:08 She's dominating the world.
54:10 As long as the waters of the river flow,
54:13 all goes well for what?
54:16 For the harlot,
54:17 who is full of the blood of the saints.
54:20 However, immediately after describing
54:24 the meaning of the waters upon which the woman sits,
54:27 the text tells us
54:29 that the kings will turn on her.
54:33 Are they gonna dry up on her?
54:36 Are the multitudes gonna withdraw their support?
54:39 Is the River Euphrates going to dry up again
54:42 after it starts flowing again?
54:44 Yes.
54:45 In other words, they will dry up on her.
54:49 This will be the final drawing up
54:50 of the River Euphrates.
54:52 Ellen White describes this vividly in the chapter,
54:55 the beginning of the chapter, God's people delivered.
54:59 Great Controversy, 635 and 636,
55:03 speaking about the wicked with shouts of triumph,
55:05 jeering and implication.
55:08 Throngs of evil men are about to rush up on their plague.
55:11 Does this plague,
55:12 does this sound like the sixth trumpet?
55:15 If you've read it, yes, when low,
55:17 a dense blackness deeper than the darkness of the night falls
55:21 upon the earth, that's a fifth plague.
55:22 The fifth plague is darkness.
55:24 Then a rainbow shining with the glory
55:26 from the throne of God spans the heavens,
55:29 and seems to encircle each praying company.
55:31 And now notice what happens with the multitudes?
55:33 What were the multitudes
55:34 planning on doing up to this point?
55:38 They're about to rush upon God's people.
55:40 By the way, what is it that rushes?
55:43 Water.
55:45 But what happens now during,
55:47 after the darkness comes
55:48 which the fifth plague is a plague of darkness.
55:51 The angry multitudes are suddenly arrested.
55:56 What happens with the waters?
55:58 They dry up?
55:59 That's right.
56:00 See, don't always look for the words of the Bible
56:02 in the writings of Ellen White.
56:03 Look for the sequence of events.
56:07 They're mocking Christ die away.
56:09 They forget the objects of their murderous rage.
56:12 With fearful forebodings,
56:13 they gaze upon the symbol of God's covenant,
56:16 and longed tow be shielded
56:17 from its overpowering brightness.
56:19 A little later, Ellen White goes on.
56:21 She speaks about the drying up of the waters now.
56:24 The people see that they have been deluded.
56:26 They accuse one another of having led them
56:29 to destruction, but all unite in heaping
56:31 the bitterest condemnation upon the ministers.
56:35 Did they support the ministers before this?
56:37 Oh, yeah.
56:39 Unfaithful pastors have prophesied smooth things.
56:44 They have led their hearers to make void the law of God
56:46 and to persecute those who would keep it holy.
56:50 Now in their despair, these teachers confess before
56:53 the world their work of deception.
56:55 Now notice what happens with the waters.
56:57 Now, the waters are going to dry up on this system now.
57:00 And they're going to avalanche themselves upon whom?
57:03 Upon those who receive them.
57:05 The multitudes are filled with what?
57:07 With fury, we are lost, they cry,
57:10 and you are the cause of our ruin.
57:12 And they turn upon the false shepherds.
57:15 Does a support of the false shepherds now,
57:17 is it withdrawn?
57:18 Do the waters dry up?
57:20 Yes.
57:21 The very ones that once admire them most
57:23 will pronounce the most dreadful curses upon them.
57:27 The swords that were to slay God's people
57:29 are now employed to destroy their enemies.
57:32 Everywhere there is strife and bloodshed.
57:37 Quite a description, isn't it?
57:40 So are you understanding the sixth plague
57:41 a little bit better?
57:43 Yes.
57:44 How many groups are there going to be?
57:45 Two.
57:47 The righteous and the wicked.
