00:43 For no other name but that name 00:45 is entitled to our worship. 00:48 No other name but that name 00:50 has earned the right to our reverence. 00:53 No other name but that name 00:55 can ever merit our praise. 01:11 Because when you're studying the fourth commandment, 01:14 when we're considering the importance and significance 01:17 of the Sabbath commandment 01:18 you cannot... What word did I just use? 01:21 You cannot separate the Creator 01:24 from the Sabbath. 01:26 God will help you to keep the Sabbath if you make a stand. 01:30 Amen? He wants to spend that time with you 01:34 on the Sabbath. 01:36 "Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long 01:39 upon the land... " If ever there was a time that you 01:42 young folk need to be investing in your eternal life, 01:45 it's now. Can you say "Amen? " 01:50 Hello and welcome to 3ABN Spring Camp Meeting. 01:53 We've been having a wonderful time. 01:55 A wonderful group of people from here and some places as far away 01:59 as I see Russia over here and Australia as we mentioned. 02:03 Many other places... some of the islands. 02:05 And for those of you at home thank you for joining us 02:07 from wherever you are around the world. 02:10 This is Camp Meeting. It's a time to come together 02:12 to praise the Lord, to worship the Lord. 02:14 And I don't know about you... and it sounds repetitious 02:17 but I'm not the only one that says it: you all do 02:20 it 'cause you come up to us and say: 02:22 "I think this is the best Camp Meeting yet. " 02:25 Anybody said that so far? 02:27 Oh yes! I know. Every year we do that 02:30 and it seems like does this just keep getting better? 02:32 Well, that's the way it's going to be in heaven, right? 02:34 Gonna keep gettin' better and better... 02:36 "gooder and gooder" we used to say, all right? 02:38 But better and better, so I'll have to behave 02:40 while I'm up on the stage, you know... live. 02:42 So it's better... I have a teacher here. In fact, 02:44 talk to us, Jill, a little bit about Francine and Jason. 02:48 We are so excited that God brought Jason and Francine 02:51 Bergmann to the 3ABN family. 02:53 Francine is a teacher, and she is our new Kids Network 02:57 general manager, and she's just beginning. 03:00 And Francine, talk to us about... 03:02 I know we have upcoming programs at the end of the month: 03:04 Kids Camp. We do! We have a lot going on! 03:07 Starting June 24th through the 27th 03:10 we have a whole bunch of kids coming, at least 40 per day, 03:14 and it is a whole production. We have 3ABN coming on 03:18 and staffing and being a part of this Kids Camp. 03:22 So there's a lot of programs going on. 03:25 Hopefully setting up for at least 100 new programs. 03:29 How many? At least... more than 100. 03:31 This year or just? Just this summer. 03:34 Just in a couple weeks? I'm going to say in 2-1/2 weeks. 03:37 Four days. Greg's the production manager. 03:40 He should know. A hundred programs! 03:42 Is that an amazing task or not? 03:44 And we haven't done that many programs in a few years 03:48 I would say, but that's amazing. 03:49 So thank you all for production and Francine, 03:52 Jill, all of you, Greg... everybody that's a part of that. 03:55 That's an amazing taking, Bruce, to say we're going to do 03:58 100 programs in 4 days... over 100. 04:02 It's the Lord's blessing - it is - and the Lord's motivation 04:05 and the Holy Spirit that talks to these people 04:07 and takes control, and the parents that send their children 04:11 to help out. And I just praise His name 04:14 for His leading in this area in the ministry. 04:17 And I'm also thankful to hear the Ten Commandments 04:21 explained. When I was a young man 04:24 I didn't like the Ten Command- ments. In fact, I wanted to 04:27 break them. And now I want to keep them. 04:32 OK. And the reason I want to keep them 04:35 is 'cause God asked me to 04:37 and it creates a peaceful life. 04:40 Why would anyone not want to keep the commandments? 04:45 Today Honor Your Parents fits right in with the children's 04:48 programs that are coming up. It's going to be good. 04:51 It's going to be great. 04:54 Where is Johnny Dinzey? There he is. 04:56 Johnny, you got a little word for us a little bit here? 04:59 Well you know, listening to the messages, Danny, 05:03 it's marvelous what's going on because it made me think of 05:07 John 17:3. "And this is life eternal: 05:10 that they may know Thee, the only True God, 05:12 and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. " 05:14 And you see, the Ten Command- ments come from the mind of God. 05:18 Knowing God, you should know the commandments, 05:22 learn to love them because they come from the mind of God, 05:25 and in this you are entering into life eternal. 05:29 Wow! So what 3ABN is doing is a marvelous thing: 05:31 sharing information to help people know who God is. 05:35 Amen. Thank you. I want to in- troduce Francine's better half. 05:39 Or Francine's the better half, so I said that 05:41 completely the wrong way. 05:43 But we are so blessed that God brought Jason here. 05:46 He is our CFO. We spoke opening night about Brian Hamilton 05:50 retiring, and God brought us Jason, and we're so blessed 05:52 to have you here. Thank you. Yeah, I'm glad you just 05:55 changed that because tonight would have been something! 05:58 No... it's good to be here. 06:00 And I want to thank all of you who are supporting 3ABN. 06:04 It's a blessing, and without you 06:07 we would not be on the air. 06:09 So thank you also to those who are listening, 06:11 those who are on the radio. 06:13 We want to thank you for your support, 06:16 and I can tell you that every dollar is used wisely 06:20 as we share the good news together. 06:23 Amen! Well, we're going to have some music for you: 06:25 Reggie and Ladye Love Smith. Anybody happy about that? 06:28 They're here tonight. 06:30 And Reggie took off from his busy schedule, you know, 06:33 as a Gaither Vocal Band singer there. 06:36 I tease him about that. For the last couple years 06:39 he's been traveling literally I mean day and night 06:42 in the bus going all around this country 06:45 to huge venues. And so I tell him: "Reggie, 06:48 we just feel special that though you're in the big times 06:51 you still come to little 3ABN. " 06:53 But they say: "No... wherever God is 06:55 and wherever His house of worship is and we get a chance 06:58 we're going to be there. " 06:59 And so we love them... they're great friends 07:01 and wonderful people. And then of course 07:03 Big Gene McDonald last night. Didn't he do a beautiful job? 07:07 What an incredible voice! 07:09 And he's going to be singing for us here tonight. 07:11 And so we're going to have some great preaching, 07:14 so it's going to be another night that we believe 07:16 the Holy Spirit's going to be here. And I'm sure it will be 07:19 as soon as you pray, Pastor John. 07:21 All right... all right. Let's bow our heads. 07:23 Gracious Father in heaven, it's amazing what happens 07:25 when You plug something in. 07:28 Lord, tonight "plug in" Your servants again. 07:32 There's a power that we do not have. 07:33 We cannot possess it; we cannot use it. 07:36 We don't want to use that power even to take the glory 07:39 that belongs only to You. 07:41 So tonight, anoint Your manservants, Your maidservants, 07:44 and even the ears and hearts of those who are watching 07:46 and listening to this program. 07:48 And may the glory of God once again reveal through His 07:51 precepts, His character, the 10 Words - the 10 Commandments. 07:55 May we also be empowered to live in harmony with them 07:59 that one day we will hear the words: "Blessed are those 08:03 who keep His commandments 08:04 that they may have a right to the Tree of Life 08:07 and may enter in through the gates into the city. " 08:10 In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. Thank you all so much. 08:15 When I think about what the law of God means to me 08:18 it's something that's very personable. 08:21 A lot of times when we think about laws we think: 08:23 "Oh, this is a bunch of 'do's' and 'don'ts. 08:25 Why do I even have to follow that? ' " 08:27 But God's Ten Commandments... to me it's God's... 08:30 the God that loves us. 08:32 Amen. He's there... He's wanting to protect me. 08:34 And I think it's beautiful also that God wants us to write His 08:38 law in our hearts. He doesn't say: "Just write them out there 08:41 somewhere. " He wants them to be inside of us 08:44 to be a part of who we are as a being. 08:48 And God is looking out for our own good. 08:50 It's not like: "Don't do that Greg just 'cause I don't want 08:53 you to. " No... it's because He says: "Greg, 08:55 I love you and here are the ten principles that I want you 08:58 to follow. " So when I think of the Ten Commandments 09:00 I think of a God that loves me and cares for me. 09:03 And then me in response? I want to be like: "God... my Father! 09:07 Yes, absolutely. I want to do that because 09:09 I know that that will be the best for me in my own life. " 09:13 So the law of God? It's a law of love. 09:16 It is... and it's a law of liberty. Yeah! The law of God 09:19 is such a gift to us. Amen! I love what you said, Sweetheart, 09:22 because we do often think of the 10 Commandments 09:24 as do's and don'ts. True. We know the law was written 09:27 with the very finger of God. 09:30 And yet the New Covenant we find in Hebrews 8:10 09:34 God says: "I will write My law in their hearts 09:39 and in their minds. " And to me what that says is 09:42 yes, it is eternal. God's law is eternal 09:46 and it's engraven on those tables of stone 09:48 but it also can be written on my heart. 09:52 That means God has the grace 09:54 to implant His Holy Spirit and His Word 09:58 and His law into my heart. That means His 10 guidelines, 10:03 ten principles, are actually ten promises. Right. 10:08 He says: "Jill, I can work My love, 10:11 My law into your heart. " And that... that gives me liberty. 10:17 I'm here with one of my favorite groups in all the world 10:20 of young people. I don't know anybody, any group who does 10:24 any more for the cause of God than these young folks. 10:27 They are the church of tomorrow 10:28 and we ought to support these folks, be behind them 100%. 10:32 Sr. Darla, you have been with NAPS for how many years now? 10:37 Maybe like 19 years? Nineteen years... unbelievable. 10:40 Well you look like one of the college students. 10:42 How am I doing? Nice. Nice... OK. 10:45 We're gettin' along so far. 10:48 And no... I do. I love you; I appreciate what you do 10:52 every year and NAPS group. And you always bring us 10:55 some great testimony. You give us some music. 10:59 So we want you to update us, and then I've got a little 11:02 surprise for you. It was even a surprise to me. 11:04 It just came to me a while ago, but you go ahead and talk first 11:06 and then we'll... OK. Well, for those who do not know 11:11 NAPS is The National Assoc. for the Prevention of Starvation. 11:15 It's a group that started back in 1978 11:18 with some college students that wanted to do something more. 11:22 It started with feeding under a bridge, 11:24 but God has grown it tremendously. 11:27 To date we have been to 23 states - 23 countries - 11:32 40 states - and over 20,000 have been baptized 11:36 into the SDA church! Amen! Praise the Lord! 11:40 But God didn't end right there. The amazing thing is 11:43 when you put God first He will give you MORE 11:46 that He wants you to do for His cause. 11:48 And in recent years, NAPS started up its own school 11:53 going from kindergarten all the way to 8th grade. 11:56 It was started by a leader in the group. 11:59 She was only a junior in college, elementary ed. major, 12:03 and she wanted to make an impact. 12:05 Well, it's been some time since then 12:08 and God has been blessing. 12:09 We just experienced about 8 of those students 12:13 getting baptized. So this is not just a school where they learn 12:17 English and math, but it's a school where they learn 12:20 to serve Christ, and they're able to come on our missions 12:22 as well. BUT one thing that has impacted me about 12:26 the group is the fact that they have their own mission. 12:30 Recently NAPS started up a ministry 12:34 in Alabama, that's where our headquarters are: 12:36 in Alabama... where we are doing a feeding program. 12:40 Every single month we would feed over 300. 12:44 And what happened is is the leader had an emergency 12:48 and had to leave. Now praise the Lord, we weren't 12:51 doing it on our own because some of the students 12:54 from our school decided to "take up the plow" 12:58 when she - the person - could no longer lead it. 13:03 They called over 200 volunteers every night. 13:06 I'm going to let Dayinn tell you a little bit more. 13:08 She is one of our school students, and she is going to 13:12 tell you a little bit more about how the foodbank runs. 13:15 Hello everybody. My name is Dayinn 13:18 and I'm going to be telling you as Miss Darla has told you. 13:23 So what we do first is we would call the people 13:28 to let them know the day before the foodbank. 13:31 So we let them know when and where to go. 13:37 So our food director, Xavier, 13:41 would give us our duties to do. 13:46 Labeling and packaging. 13:50 Also with front line and meeting people, greeting people, 13:56 and also registration. 13:58 So for the registration 14:00 we would go to each car and we would get their information 14:04 and give them a ticket. And once they come in the front 14:07 we'll give them their food. 14:09 But as we're giving them their food 14:11 we'll greet them and tell them about us 14:13 and give them hugs and share them with love. 14:16 And overall we fed over 200 people... 14:22 200 families every month and it's been a blessing to do it. 14:27 Wow! Praise the Lord! 14:29 And the powerful thing is where this school has started. 14:32 It has started in the rural black belt. 14:35 There's a passage by Ellen White that talks about 14:38 how she wept for this exact area. It says: 15:34 When we read this quote we knew we had to do something. 15:37 Right now I'm asking for you guys to keep us in your prayers. 15:40 Praying for teachers and medical professionals 15:43 as we continue this work. 15:45 Praise the Lord! Now let me ask you: 15:48 usually you have these college students here. 15:51 Now you all are not college students, I hope... right? 15:53 Some of you are? Nobody? Some of them. Some are. 15:57 Those not college yet let me see your hands. 16:00 All right. Now you talk about starting at a young age. 16:04 Look what they're doing, and the work that they do 16:06 is absolutely phenomenal. 16:08 I was hoping that some of you weren't college students 16:11 'cause I thought I aged over- night 'cause kids look younger 16:13 to me all the time. So the other good news was 16:16 I thought I was taller than I used to be. 16:19 And... but I found out that's not so either. 16:21 But listen, 3ABN has supported you all for a long time. 16:25 They come up here when we ask them no matter what it is. 16:28 They don't ask for anything. 16:30 We say: "Can you come up and teach our young folks 16:32 and be here at Camp Meeting? " They come. 16:34 They do it on their own; they volunteer 16:36 with all of the work that they have doing. 16:38 So I felt impressed tonight that what we want to do for you 16:42 and I want to do it now... it's on a contingency 16:44 that the folks here support us or folks at home 16:49 that you call in... 3ABN would like to donate to you all 16:52 for your school for wherever you want it to be 16:55 $10,000... all right? Amen! 16:58 Now all of you clapping: I'm looking at you clapping. 17:03 I'm going to go back and re-run the video. 17:04 That means you're going to give. 17:06 So we have you. It's like freeze frame and we got you 17:10 and some of you who didn't clap. 17:12 So... Now $10,000. This is a matching fund. 17:15 So we want you all here to walk up tonight, tomorrow, 17:19 after the program, all day... look up Darla. 17:23 Say: "Here, this is for NAPS. This is towards the matching 17:25 fund of $10,000. " How many will give something? 17:28 Now don't be bashful. OK. 17:30 Should be more hands than that. Let's keep going. 17:32 All right. I don't want to be like some of these... 17:35 I started to say Pentecostal preachers... 17:36 that take up 10 offerings during the service, but tonight 17:40 we're going to let the people know that we believe in what 17:44 you're doing. God is good all the time, right? 17:47 And we want to support you. We'll continue to support what 17:50 you're doing to help people come to know Jesus Christ 17:54 and to be baptized into His remnant church. 17:56 This is an amazing organization. 17:58 And so I want each of you to pray about it. 18:01 Say: "Lord, what would You have me to do? " 18:03 And while we're joking a little bit about this... but 18:06 I'm serious in the fact that each of us can do something 18:08 even if you gave $20 or $50 or $100. She'll keep track. 18:13 Those of you watching: if you want to call in and just 18:15 say: "Hey, I'll send some money. " 18:17 If you don't get an answer tonight call in Monday, Tuesday, 18:21 whenever... let us know. And whatever comes in 18:23 if it comes over that $10,000 you get every penny of it; 18:26 We don't keep any of it. Amen! 18:27 But we just want you to know that we love you all. 18:29 We appreciate you. Thank you for what you're doing 18:32 and being willing to stand up for Jesus in the closing moments 18:35 of earth's history. Thank you all of you. 18:39 The song we're going to sing is actually a reminder 18:42 just that we need the Holy Spirit. 18:46 We need the Holy Spirit more than anything. 18:49 It's coming from Malawi, Africa. It says the Holy Spirit 18:52 must come down, and our countries, our children, 18:56 our families must be saved. 19:57 The Holy Spirit 20:01 must come down, 20:04 our families must be saved. 20:11 The Holy Spirit 20:15 must come down, 20:18 our families must be saved. 20:23 Our families... Our families must 20:28 be saved, 20:31 our families must be saved! 20:38 The Holy Spirit 20:42 must come down, 20:45 our families must be saved. 20:51 The Holy Spirit 20:55 must come down, 20:58 our children must be saved. 21:04 The Holy Spirit 21:08 must come down, 21:11 our children must be saved. 21:16 Our children... Our children must 21:21 be saved, 21:24 our children must be saved. 21:31 The Holy Spirit 21:35 must come down, 21:37 our children must be saved. 21:44 Amen! Thank you all so much. 21:47 All right! God bless you all. 21:50 Praise the Lord! Great great group of young people 21:53 who dedicate... They travel around the world 21:56 and it's by faith. They don't have the money; 21:58 they're not supported by the church or the university. 22:02 They raise their money. They've got people who 22:05 support around the world, and a lot of it has been 22:07 because of you, the viewers of 3ABN 22:10 who've seen where they're going and what their needs are. 22:13 So we're hoping that you will make it part of your plan 22:16 in your giving to support the NAPS group 22:18 so they can continue to lead souls to the Lord Jesus Christ. 22:22 It's my privilege right now to introduce 22:26 a wonderful couple. They're some of the closest 22:29 friends that Yvonne and I have on this earth. 22:32 And it's Reggie and Ladye Love Smith. 22:35 And so I'm going to ask Reggie and Ladye if they're ready... 22:37 I may be jumping the gun on them a little bit here. 22:40 I think they were going to do a little video. 22:41 If they're not, we'll do the video and then they can 22:43 come out. But they are incredible people. 22:46 We've been knowing each other for a lot of years 22:49 and they literally travel around the world. 22:51 But it's not just what they do in their singing. 22:54 It's when you meet them and get to know them 22:58 and you see their hearts - their heart for people. 23:01 We've been at restaurants... One night we were at 23:04 a restaurant eating, and they were shutting all the doors 23:07 and closing the restaurant, and we didn't know where Ladye was. 23:11 So it was like: "Where's Ladye Love? " 23:13 And Reggie's looking around. She's in the kitchen 23:16 'cause she noticed that one of the cooks seemed to be sad 23:21 about something so she was witnessing to her... 23:23 talking to her about Jesus. 23:25 We see that everywhere we go. They look up people 23:28 in the community and witness to them. 23:31 So we'd like to get Reggie and Ladye to come on out. 23:34 They're going to do some music and then after that 23:37 we have Gene McDonald. 23:40 And Gene, of course, sang here last night 23:42 and Gene also travels around the world. 23:44 Gene sings and he's a bus driver. 23:49 So he drives the bus. He does a lot for you all, doesn't he? 23:52 He drives all night, gets a little bit of sleep, 23:57 and sings again in concert... and then he sings again. 24:00 So you guys sing... We're glad you're here! 24:02 Let's make them welcome... give them a 3ABN welcome here. 24:05 Come on up to your spot. 24:09 It's good to be back. Love you guys. 24:12 You're confident in yourself. I see that pink jacket on tonight. 24:16 I picked that out. Ladye Love picked it out. 24:18 Yeah, but you wore it. That's right. 24:21 You were confident in her. Right. All the time God is good. 24:58 Suspended above 25:02 the world that He made 25:06 and below His home 25:09 in the sky 25:14 God in flesh 25:17 came down to man 25:21 and man raised Him up 25:26 to die. 25:29 And there on a tree 25:33 the destiny 25:37 of every fallen man 25:44 was held by the nails 25:48 driven through 25:51 His sinless feet 25:55 and hands. 25:59 Somewhere between 26:03 heaven and earth 26:06 stood a symbol of grace 26:09 not based on our worth. 26:13 It was there He endured 26:17 what we deserve 26:22 for a cross held the hope of the world 26:28 somewhere between 26:30 heaven and earth. 26:36 Somewhere between 26:39 time and space... 26:44 somewhere between judgment 26:47 and grace. 26:50 He became 26:52 the sin He'd never known 26:58 and as the sky turned black 27:03 His Father turned His back 27:06 and for that moment 27:08 He was left alone... 27:13 He was left alone. 27:18 Somewhere between 27:22 heaven and earth 27:25 stood a symbol of grace 27:28 not based on our worth. 27:33 It was there He endured 27:36 what we deserve 27:41 for a cross held the hope of the world 27:47 somewhere between 27:50 heaven and earth. 27:56 Somewhere between heaven and earth 27:59 stood a symbol of grace 28:02 not based on our worth. 28:06 It was there He endured 28:10 what we deserve 28:15 for a cross held the hope of the world... 28:21 yes, the cross held the hope 28:25 of the world... yes, 28:29 the cross held the hope 28:32 of the world 28:38 somewhere - somewhere 28:40 between 28:42 heaven 28:48 and earth. 28:55 Suspended above 28:57 the world that He made 29:02 and below His home 29:05 in the sky... 29:19 Amen! 29:24 Amen! Man, do you not love the Lord? 29:29 Amen! Guess what? He loves you more. 29:33 Each and every one of us with our warts. 29:36 Some of us have our hair... some of us don't. 29:39 Some of us have pink coats... 29:43 Some of us have pink coats and you know what? Hey, 29:47 you guys know Tim Parton, right? 29:50 One of the greatest piano players on the planet. 29:53 And we want to do a couple of hymns with Tim. Is that cool? 29:56 So... But God is so good 29:59 and He loves you so much. 30:02 And sometimes life is hard 30:06 and life gets crazy. 30:08 But He says: "Come to Me and I will give you rest. " 30:12 I don't know if you need it, but I need rest. 30:15 And I need to go to Him and find that quiet place. 30:20 And He says to me and He will say to you every time: 30:28 Softly and tenderly 30:33 Jesus is calling... 30:38 calling for you 30:43 and for me. 30:47 And see, on the portals 30:53 He's waiting and watching... 31:00 calling "Oh, sinner 31:05 come home. " 31:10 "Come home, 31:15 come home... 31:21 ye who are weary 31:27 come home. " 31:35 Earnestly, 31:38 tenderly 31:41 Jesus is calling... 31:47 calling: "Oh, sinner... " 31:53 calling: "Oh, sinner... " 32:01 calling: "Oh, sinner 32:07 come 32:12 home. " 32:36 'Tis so sweet 32:40 to trust in Jesus. 32:45 Just to take Him 32:48 at His word. 32:52 Just to rest 32:56 upon His promise... 33:01 just to know 33:04 "thus saith the Lord. " 33:11 And I'm so glad 33:14 I learned to trust Him: 33:19 precious Jesus, 33:22 Savior, Friend. 33:27 And to know 33:30 that He is with me... 33:35 will be with me 33:40 till the end. Sing it together: 33:45 Jesus, Jesus, 33:49 how I trust Him! 33:53 How I've proved Him 33:57 o'er and o'er. 34:01 Jesus, Jesus, 34:05 precious Jesus! 34:09 Oh, for grace 34:13 to trust Him more. 34:21 Jesus, Jesus, 34:27 oh, Jesus... 34:32 there's just something 34:36 about 34:39 that name! 34:46 Master, 34:48 oh, Savior, 34:52 Jesus... 34:58 like the fragrance 35:01 after 35:04 the rain. 35:11 Jesus, 35:14 Jesus, 35:16 oh Jesus... 35:22 let all heaven 35:25 and earth 35:28 proclaim! 35:34 Kings and kingdoms 35:40 will all pass away 35:46 but there' something 35:51 about 35:55 that 35:58 name! 36:13 Amen! Thank you, Tim. Thank you so much. 36:20 I will serve Thee. 36:25 He's done so much for each of us. 36:30 I will serve Thee 36:35 because I love Thee. 36:40 You have 36:42 given life 36:48 to me. 36:52 I was nothing 36:57 before You found me. 37:05 You have given life 37:11 to me. 37:16 Heartaches, 37:22 broken pieces, 37:28 ruined lives 37:31 are why 37:34 you died on 37:37 Calvary. 37:40 Your touch 37:45 is what I longed for! 37:52 You have given life 37:58 to me. 38:03 I will serve Thee 38:08 because 38:10 I love Thee. 38:16 You have given life 38:22 to me. 38:28 I was nothing 38:34 before You found me... 38:40 You have 38:43 given life 38:48 to 38:50 me. 38:56 Heartaches, 39:01 broken pieces, 39:08 ruined lives 39:12 are why You died 39:17 on Calvary! 39:22 Your touch 39:25 was what 39:28 I longed for... 39:34 You have given life 39:40 to me... 39:46 You have 39:48 given life 39:57 to me! 40:17 I'm going to tell Danny we're going to get matching suits 40:19 and a bus and hit the road. 40:24 And he's going to wear a pink jacket! 40:38 We just knew He was dead... 40:42 "It is finished! " He said. 40:45 And we watched as His life 40:49 ebbed away. 40:52 Then we all stood around 40:57 till the guards took Him down. 41:00 Joseph begged for His body 41:04 that day. 41:08 It was late afternoon 41:12 when we got to the tomb. 41:15 Wrapped His body 41:17 and sealed up the grave. 41:22 So I know how you feel... 41:27 His death was so real. 41:30 But please listen 41:32 and hear what I say: 41:38 "I've just 41:42 seen Jesus! 41:47 I tell you 41:49 He's alive! 41:54 I've just seen Jesus... 41:59 our precious 42:02 Lord's alive! " 42:07 And I knew - yes I knew - 42:12 He really 42:14 saw me, too! 42:21 As if till now 42:25 I never 42:29 lived. 42:33 All that I've done 42:36 before 42:39 won't matter 42:42 any more... 42:46 I've just seen Jesus 42:53 and I'll never be 42:58 the same 43:00 again! 43:13 It was His voice she first heard... 43:17 those kind, gentle words... 43:21 asking what was her reason 43:24 for those tears. 43:28 And I sobbed in despair 43:31 "My Lord is not there! " 43:34 He said: "Child, it is I... 43:38 I am here! " 43:43 I've just seen 43:48 Jesus! 43:53 I tell you: "He's alive! " 44:00 I've just seen Jesus... 44:06 our precious 44:08 Lord's alive! 44:14 And I knew - yes, I knew - 44:19 He really saw me, too. 44:24 He really saw me, too! 44:28 As if till now 44:32 I never lived. 44:39 All that I've done before 44:45 won't matter 44:48 any more... 44:53 I've just seen 44:56 Jesus... 44:59 Well, I've just seen 45:02 Jesus... 45:06 Well, I've just seen Jesus 45:10 and all I've ever 45:15 done before 45:19 won't matter 45:22 any more... 45:26 I've just seen 45:28 Jesus and I'll never 45:34 be the same 45:36 again! 45:42 I've just seen 45:45 JESUS! 45:53 Amen! Whoo! 46:00 When I think of God's Ten Commandments 46:03 I think of God's character. 46:05 Who He is. And He's... The Ten Commandments is... 46:09 it's God, isn't it honey? 46:11 That's right. It's a reflection of who He is. Yeah. 46:13 It, in fact, is the embodiment of who God is. 46:16 Ten principles - ten laws - that when we live in harmony 46:21 with those laws we become like Him 46:23 not only horizontically but vertically. 46:26 Yes. When I think of the Ten Commandments 46:27 I think of guardrails. Hmm... that's true. 46:30 I like to drive and you know we drive all over the world. 46:33 Yes. It keeps us in line with our destiny. 46:36 And anyone who fights against the guardrails, the stop signs, 46:40 the yield signs, affect their destiny. Yes. 46:43 I also think of God's commandments as safety. Hmm. 46:47 It is our safety net. That's right... it is! 46:50 It keeps us in an environment... You know 46:52 we're reading through the Bible together. Yes. 46:55 Beautiful. And whenever we think about the kings 46:57 what do we hear? That they lived their lives 46:59 and what did they have all around them? 47:01 They have high places... they have idols. 47:04 Idol worship everywhere. For those who didn't follow 47:06 the commandments. For those who didn't, yes. 47:08 But when they did follow the commandments of God 47:10 they had peace all of their days. Oh yes! 47:13 That's right. That's right... yes they did. 47:16 And that's what happens when you follow God's law: 47:18 the peace of God is in your heart. 47:20 That's right. And then it also shapes your life. 47:22 Yes. So when you follow the commandments of God 47:25 those ten principles: four in our relationship to God 47:28 and the six horizontally in our relationships 47:31 to one another. That's right. You'll find peace between 47:33 you and God, peace between your spouse - Amen! 47:38 wife to husband, husband to wife. Yes, yes. 47:40 You'll find peace in your community of worship. So true. 47:43 You'll find peace in your neighborhood. 47:45 And then the Prince of Peace will inhabit your life. Jesus! 47:49 So we encourage you: fall in love with the God 47:52 of the law of love and liberty and you'll find that peace. 48:07 I don't know 48:11 about tomorrow... 48:16 I just live 48:20 from day to day. 48:25 I don't borrow 48:30 from its sunshine 48:33 for its skies 48:38 may turn to gray. 48:42 I don't worry 48:47 o'er the future 48:51 for I know 48:55 what Jesus said. 49:00 And today 49:04 I'll walk beside Him 49:08 for He knows 49:12 what lies ahead. 49:17 Many things 49:21 about tomorrow 49:26 I don't seem 49:30 to understand. 49:34 But I know 49:38 who holds tomorrow 49:43 and I know 49:47 who holds my hand. 49:52 I don't know 49:55 about tomorrow... 50:00 it may bring 50:04 me poverty. 50:09 But the One 50:13 who feeds the sparrow 50:17 is the One 50:22 who stands by me. 50:26 And the path 50:30 that is my portion 50:35 may be through 50:39 the flame or flood 50:43 and His presence 50:48 goes before me 50:52 and I'm covered 50:57 with His blood! 51:01 Many things 51:05 about tomorrow 51:10 I don't seem 51:14 to understand. 51:18 But I know 51:22 who holds tomorrow 51:27 and I know 51:31 who holds my hand... 51:36 And I know 51:40 who holds my hand. 52:06 Today I went back 52:10 to the place 52:12 where I used to go. 52:18 Today I saw 52:22 that same old crowd 52:25 I knew before. 52:30 When they asked me 52:34 what had happened 52:36 I tried to tell them: 52:42 "Thanks to Calvary 52:46 I don't come here 52:49 any more. " 52:54 Thanks to Calvary 52:58 I am not the man 53:01 that I used to be. 53:06 Thanks to Calvary 53:10 things are different 53:12 than before. 53:19 While the tears 53:21 ran down my face 53:24 I tried to tell them: 53:30 "Thanks to Calvary 53:34 I don't come here 53:38 any more. " 53:43 Then we went back 53:46 to the house 53:48 where we used to live. 53:54 My little boy 53:58 he ran and hid 54:01 behind the door. 54:08 And I said: "Son, 54:11 please don't be afraid... 54:14 you've got a brand new daddy now. 54:18 Thanks to Calvary 54:22 we don't live here 54:26 any more. " 54:30 Thanks to Calvary 54:34 I am not the dad 54:38 that I used to be. 54:42 Thanks to Calvary 54:46 things are different 54:49 than before. 54:55 While the tears 54:57 ran down my face 55:00 I tried to tell them: 55:07 "Thanks to Calvary 55:12 we don't live here 55:17 any more. " 55:28 Amen! Wow! Amen! 55:33 Thank you, Brother Gene. That's wonderful! 55:36 Stay... we've got just a minute so I'm lonely out here 55:38 by myself so you come on out here with me. 55:40 And you've got a great testi- mony. We only have a minute 55:44 and something, but you had an accident some years ago 55:46 and you fell how many feet? 55:48 Twenty-nine feet into an empty grain barge. 55:50 An empty grain barge... twenty-nine feet. 55:52 Yes, sir. What was in the bottom? 55:54 Nothing? Steel. Steel? And you lived through it. 55:58 Quarter inch cut off the left ear. 55:59 And that's it? Walked out of it. 56:02 That is amazing! Twenty-nine feet. 56:04 These ceilings are about twenty, something like that. 56:07 So you fell in the steel. 56:09 God had a plan for your life, didn't He? Yes, sir... 56:12 yes, sir. Some time ago... You have a son 56:16 and then you adopted another one. Tell us about that. 56:19 A year ago yesterday was his first birthday. 56:22 He's 17 years old, but his first birthday in my house. 56:25 And so... All right... isn't that great? 56:29 So that's amazing. 56:30 We love you. We love Gene and his family. 56:33 Wondeful wonderful people. 56:35 And I don't know about you. I'd like to have him back 56:37 quite often. Would you? You want him back? 56:39 OK... OK you see here. 56:42 But Reggie and Ladye Love... You know, you get the behind 56:45 the scenes and they tell me: "There's nobody better 56:48 than Gene. Got a great... better heart for people. 56:51 He loves God; he's sincere. " 56:54 And Ladye said: "He's big but he's a softie. " 56:56 He'll cry, you know, when something touches his heart. 57:00 And when you're talking about the Lord or singing 57:02 I see that you're living it. So thank you, Gene, 57:05 for what you do for the cause of God. 57:07 Thank you very much. All right. 57:09 So y'all been blessed? All right. 57:11 Now we're going to be... In about 8 seconds here 57:14 we're going to be able to take just a short break. 57:16 Don't get up yet... you're still on camera. 57:18 And then Bro. Kenny's going to be back to minister to us. |
