00:01 A great controversy rages between good and evil
00:04 and humanity is caught in the crossfire. 00:06 Satan has crafted his most cunning end-time deceptions 00:09 but his plans are doomed to fail. 00:12 Get ready to anchor your minds in truth 00:14 as the Bible exposes his lies 00:16 and prepares us for our soon-coming Savior. 00:19 And now live from the Campus Hill Church of SDA's 00:23 in Loma Linda, CA, we bring you this presentation of: 00:31 Hello and welcome to 3ABN Camp Meeting. 00:33 Y'all having a good time here? 00:35 Yes! All right! Praise the Lord! 00:37 We've got a noisy group here for those of you that's not here. 00:39 We love it. We like people that are excited about the Lord, 00:42 excited about the message that God has given us 00:45 to take an undiluted three angels' messages, 00:48 one that would counteract the counterfeit, into all the world. 00:51 I want to thank all of you watching, all of you here 00:53 for your love and your prayers, financial support of 3ABN 00:57 as we continue to take the three angels' messages 01:00 into all the world. 01:03 Today it's a privilege to introduce 01:06 the speaker of the hour. I've known him for a long time. 01:09 In fact, I could say all of my life. 01:11 It's one of my brothers... older brother Kenny Shelton. 01:15 So we have three older ones; I'm the youngest of four. 01:18 But Bro. Kenny's been preaching for a long time 01:22 and he and his wife Chris have Behold the Lamb Ministries. 01:25 How many have watched them on 3ABN? 01:27 All right. A lot of hands up here and some Amens. 01:30 And so I know Kenny and Chris well, and their heart's desire 01:34 is to tell the world about Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 01:38 So I respect Kenny tremendously 01:41 and I love he and Chris and appreciate so much what they do 01:45 for the cause of God. They never ask for anything. 01:48 They're servants... they have servants hearts. 01:50 Anywhere we want to go or want them to go 01:53 they say: "Tell us when... we'll go. " 01:55 And I appreciate them again so much. 01:57 But before Kenny comes to preach 01:59 we have some special music today. I see Tim Parton 02:03 and I think Bro. Ryan Day. He's going to be doing 02:06 It Is Well With My Soul. 02:08 And Ryan, thank you so much for what you do for the cause 02:11 of God. And Tim: both of you incredible musicians. 02:14 I'm so thankful they're on God's side, aren't you? Yes! 02:18 'Cause both of them have the gifts and talents 02:20 and abilities to sing anywhere in the world 02:22 but thank you for choosing God. All right. Praise the Lord! 02:26 It Is Well With My Soul is my favorite hymn 02:30 and I love how it was inspired. 02:34 Not so much the story in and of itself... 02:36 because it's a sad story. 02:38 The guy who lost all of his children, 02:41 his business in the Chicago fires of the 1870's 02:45 and just seemed like this Christian man was being tested 02:49 beyond measure. But as he was traveling across the Atlantic 02:54 ocean to go meet his wife after he had just lost 02:57 all of his daughters he penned down these words: 03:04 When peace 03:07 like a river 03:13 attendeth my way. 03:20 When sorrows 03:24 like sea billows 03:28 roll. 03:32 Whatever my lot 03:38 Thou has taught me 03:44 to say: 03:47 "It is well, 03:51 it is well 03:56 with my soul. " 04:03 It is well 04:11 with my soul, 04:18 It is well, 04:23 it is well 04:27 with 04:29 my soul. 04:36 And Lord, haste 04:39 the day 04:42 when my faith shall be sight, 04:49 Oh, the clouds be 04:53 rolled back 04:55 as a scroll: 05:01 The trumpet 05:05 shall sound 05:08 and the Lord shall 05:12 descend... 05:15 Well, even so 05:18 it is well 05:21 with my soul. 05:29 It is well 05:37 with my soul, 05:45 It is well, 05:49 it is well 05:53 with my soul... 05:59 It is well, 06:03 it is well 06:12 with 06:15 my soul! 06:23 Praise God! Praise the Lord! 06:28 Thank you, thank you. Whoo! Praise God! Amen! 06:33 Man, they talk about having church! 06:35 We're having church, aren't we? Praise the Lord! I tell you: 06:38 That was beautiful! It's good to be here. 06:40 Good to see all the familiar faces. 06:43 We're making some new friends we pray 06:45 and getting re-acquainted with some old friends... 06:48 so it's been good. 3ABN Camp Meeting is a wonderful time 06:51 to come together and we are very thrilled to be here. 06:55 As some of you are probably looking in your bulletin 06:59 or whatever you have here you know our subject matter 07:01 we're going to be talking about. I like to get down to business. 07:04 You know? There's going to be no monkey business today. 07:08 Gonna be God's business, isn't that right? 07:10 We get down to it because we're living in the last hours 07:13 of earth's history and we do be- lieve that Jesus is coming soon. 07:16 And we need to - these messages that you've been hearing - 07:19 take them to heart. Take them home with you and share them. 07:22 Just before we begin if you don't mind 07:24 I'm just going to kneel up here and just have a word of prayer. 07:26 You can kneel with me or sit there. We're just gonna pray. 07:30 Loving Father in heaven, we thank you for the privilege 07:32 we have of prayer. Thank you that we can call You 07:34 our Father. Lord, we need You right now. 07:36 We pray in a special way You'll pour out Your Holy Spirit 07:38 upon each of Your children and upon the word that is spoken 07:41 today. May we hide behind the cross of Calvary. 07:43 May Jesus be seen and heard today only, Lord. 07:46 We thank you for hearing; thank you for answering. 07:48 Fill this place with the Holy Spirit, Lord. 07:50 Energize us for Your soon coming in Jesus' name, Amen. Amen! 07:55 Well if you have your Bibles it's good. If not, 07:57 pencil and paper 'cause we're going to go quickly 07:59 through the Word of God together. 08:01 We're going to talk about a rapture. 08:04 Anyone heard about the rapture? 08:06 And there's some who call it "the secret rapture. " 08:10 Others just call it a rapture. 08:12 Now this is a subject that to me is life and death 08:15 and I'll mention it over and over several times 08:17 as we talk about it this afternoon. 08:19 If we have a wrong concept or thought about this subject 08:23 matter, I'm going to be bold enough to say 08:25 that we will be lost. 08:27 That's pretty bold... I understand. 08:30 We will be lost. We cannot be fooled on this subject 08:33 but the devil is doing his very best. 08:36 We're looking at rapture ruse, and we'll define that 08:40 in a moment in case you've not heard that word in a while. 08:44 But, you know, how many have heard about a book called 08:47 Left Behind? Has anyone? 08:49 Yeah... well there are a few of you not too shy. 08:52 That's good. But you know I'm not going to ask 08:55 how many purchased one and how many read it. 08:57 I really don't care about that. 08:59 I only wanted to know if you have heard of that book 09:03 Left Behind. 09:05 It starts out... it's kind of interesting... 09:07 with it says a Boeing 747 09:12 headed toward London. 09:14 And without warning notice the passengers 09:18 mysteriously begin to disappear. 09:21 Kind of interesting. I was in the airport one time 09:23 and I saw the pilot came through. He had his little black 09:26 bag you know they have with them. 09:27 He said: "Be careful 'cause I may be raptured away. " 09:30 I didn't know whether to get on the plane or not 09:32 but I think I understand the truth of God's Word 09:35 so I got on the plane. 09:38 In this book... in this book 09:42 as they got on the plane headed toward London 09:45 passengers again mysteriously... from their seats. 09:48 Terror! They were terrorized. 09:50 There was chaos in that plane. 09:53 And of course it went worldwide. It just didn't stay there... 09:57 all of a sudden it just spread worldwide quickly... 10:00 an unusual event. And it continued to unfold... 10:04 notice... because there were some left behind 10:09 the apocalypse had begun. 10:11 Interesting word. 10:13 Sounds interesting. Sounds like a good story to me. 10:16 But I think today - not trying to attack the writer 10:19 or the book at all in any form or fashion 10:22 but notice with me if you will just a few facts. 10:25 A few facts that the author, best known for this book, 10:29 and he called this book - listen to me - a "novel. " 10:33 And another word he used is a "fiction book. " 10:39 Well, I'm not too interested in fiction. 10:41 I'm not too interested in a novel. 10:43 I like to know what the truth is, is from where? 10:46 The Word of God. 10:48 So notice: many people were deceived and fooled 10:51 because they read the book and they thought this could 10:54 really happen or may be happening. 10:59 A book, a novel, fiction! 11:02 This author has written over 50 books... 11:05 both fiction and non-fiction. 11:09 There's also a Left Behind series for children. 11:13 Interesting. Many of you have heard of NPR. 11:17 National Public Radio said that this book - 11:20 notice this - this book sold over 80 million copies. 11:25 Eighty million copies, and many believed this book as a fact 11:30 or like that of Scripture. 11:32 Maybe they didn't ask... maybe they didn't understand, 11:36 but you know we need to get in Scripture to find out 11:38 everything. We are to try the spirits. 11:40 We're to test them to see whether these things be so. 11:44 Eighty million books. That's an awful lot of books is it not? 11:49 The Bible is very clear that the enemy is going to be 11:52 deceiving here in these last days. 11:55 Found myself a little quote here in II Selected Messages. 11:58 Page 92 says this... notice this: 12:00 "Every conceivable message is coming to counterfeit 12:06 the work of God. " What does the devil do? 12:09 He's a counterfeiter, is he not? 12:11 For every truth that God has what happens? 12:13 Keep this in mind: For every truth that God has 12:17 in His Word the devil has a? He has a counterfeit. 12:21 Now there's no exception to the rule we might say 12:24 so it makes a difference then what we believe does it not? 12:27 Yeah. True: we're "sanctified by the truth" 12:30 the Bible tells us in John 17:17 for sure. 12:34 I love the book The Great Controversy. 12:36 If you have it and you haven't been reading it, you should. 12:38 Page 592 says this: 12:40 "So closely will the counterfeit... " notice this... 12:44 "resemble the true that it will be impossible... " 12:47 Notice what? "impossible to distinguish 12:51 between " - notice - "them except through the Scriptures. " 12:56 So it's going to take Scriptures to distinguish 12:58 between the false and the real. 13:01 You take the Bible and you compare line upon line. 13:04 And notice: "Satan will deceive... " Notice this: 13:08 "anyone who is willing to be deceived. " 13:11 Get that word... put it under your hat. 13:14 Think about it. The enemy will deceive anyone 13:17 who is willing to be deceived. 13:19 By the grace of God say: "I'm not willing 13:21 to be deceived. " And I say this: 13:25 I believe with all of my heart ignorance is no excuse 13:28 for error or sin. 13:31 Notice: "Where there is every opportunity 13:35 to know the will of God. " I think in this country 13:37 that we live in there's every opportunity 13:39 to know what truth is. 13:41 We need the power of the Holy Spirit 13:43 Right? to impress our hearts and our minds 13:46 to stay with the truth. 13:48 We need not be falling behind 13:49 but God's church - all churches - need to be moving 13:52 forward in what is truth today 13:55 and not accepting a lot of these things that come our way. 14:00 Every wind of doctrine... rapture. 14:03 The rapture deception. 14:05 The rapture "swindle" if I may use the word. 14:08 What does ruse really mean? R- U-S-E. 14:12 The dictionary says this: 14:14 something used to produce the desired effect. 14:19 And then it says: tricked. 14:21 The enemy is in for tricks, is he not? 14:24 He's wanting to trick and to deceive. 14:27 So once again, for every truth God has in His Word 14:30 there is a counterfeit. 14:31 Untruths are told about the coming of Jesus. 14:34 How the devil wants to, you know, put up some kind 14:37 of false second coming to try to get us off the track 14:41 because he's scared to death 14:44 to think that you're going to be prepared. 14:46 The enemy does not want you prepared 14:47 for the second coming of Jesus. 14:50 This is a dangerous subject if we don't get it right. 14:55 And so today, by the grace of God and the Bible 14:56 we're going to get it right. 14:58 We don't want to lose eternal life. 15:00 Why? Because we're either going to accept Jesus 15:02 as our Lord and Savior and we're going to follow Him... 15:05 Isn't that right? all the way 15:07 or we will accept the enemy as he comes 15:11 as an angel of light in II Cor. isn't it? 11 verse 14? 15:16 It says even the enemy is going to come as what? 15:19 As an angel of light! 15:22 So he's going to try to deceive, is he not? 15:25 Millions and millions of people believe in a thing called 15:29 "the secret rapture" 15:31 while the Bible maybe and I believe teaches something 15:34 different, and we'll look at the Word of God. 15:37 I'm going to take 3 areas that we want to look at. 15:40 I'll put it real simple. I like simple things. 15:42 I'm a simple person. 15:43 We're going to look at the false version first 15:46 then we're going to look at the true version second. 15:49 And then we want to answer the question: 15:51 Why is it impossible... or why is it important 15:55 to know the difference? 15:57 It is possible. What's the importance - notice this - 16:00 to know the difference? 16:02 Well, let's go back, shall we, a few hundred years 16:05 and go over what we call the secret rapture theory. 16:09 It was laid over 400 years ago. 16:12 Now why was it? What was the purpose of it? 16:16 The purpose of this teaching was to try to stop, 16:20 try to slow down, the Protestant Reformation. 16:25 OK... are we thinking together? 16:27 Trying to slow down the Protestant Reformation. 16:30 Now remember: the Protestant Reformation... 16:33 I think today as we move around as Christians 16:36 that we need to have a little more of the protest of error. 16:40 Is somebody awake? 16:42 Yeah. We need to protest what? We need to protest error. 16:46 The Protestant movement was protesting error. 16:51 And as the Reformers were reading Scripture 16:55 during the time of the Reformation 16:57 several of the Reformers... Now remember: this is not 16:59 for the weak and the faint or the spiritually, you know, 17:02 we talk the weak. This is for those who really 17:05 want to understand and know what truth is. 17:07 You have to call it the way that it is. 17:09 History bears fact to it: the Reformation, 17:12 that the Reformers... they were studying the Word of God 17:15 and all of a sudden they saw there needed to be changes made. 17:18 Isn't that right? Changes had to be made. 17:20 And you know what? Again, in our churches today 17:23 there needs to be a Reformation. 17:25 There needs to be a change. 17:26 There needs to be the people of God that stand for what 17:29 is truth though the heavens as it were fall. Amen! 17:32 We need people to do that! 17:34 It's a reform movement. 17:36 We need it today by the grace of God. 17:38 To simply get back to something new? No! Get back to the old. 17:41 Get back to what was there in the very beginning. 17:43 Just like God said: "Go back to the beginning 17:46 and start over. " But as these Reformers 17:49 or Reformation individuals, as they were studying 17:52 the Bible they came across something that was very very 17:56 interesting. They came across... Notice: they identified 18:00 the Pope as the man of sin. 18:03 Did they or did they not? Those of you who have studied. 18:05 They identified the papacy - the Pope - as the man of sin 18:08 or the son of perdition. 18:10 Have you ever read that in the Word of God? 18:12 There's a warning against that. Have you ever read it? 18:15 I want to just turn there quickly in my Bible. 18:17 II Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 3 and 4. 18:21 Notice with me quickly. II Thessalonians chapter 2 18:24 verses what? Three and four. 18:26 Notice this. Yeah, we talk about heavy duty. It's OK 18:29 to get heavy duty. It's right here. 18:31 We're either going to prove that it is or it isn't. 18:32 The Bible says: "Let no man deceive you... " 18:35 Right? "by any means for that day shall... " What? 18:38 "shall not come except there come a falling away first. 18:42 "The man of sin be revealed... the son of perdition. " 18:46 Notice this son of perdition, this man of sin. 18:49 What does he do? 18:51 Verse 4: "He opposes and exalteth himself above all 18:55 that is called God or that is worshiped 18:58 so that he as God sits in the temple of God 19:03 showing himself that he is God. " 19:05 That's pretty powerful, is it not? 19:08 And so the Reformers began to read this and they said: 19:11 "My, my! Look what we found here! " 19:14 And they began to shout it out; they began to print it out; 19:17 they began to tell others about what they had found right here. 19:21 The man of sin and son of perdition simply means 19:23 the one who's going to ruin things, that talks about laws, 19:26 that talks about destruction. 19:29 Martin Luther was one such man 19:32 as he studied the Scripture. 19:35 And he said, and he said it to the church... 19:37 he said: "I believe the Pope is the son of perdition 19:40 and so on and the church the antichrist... " 19:43 he said.. "of prophecy. " 19:44 Hmm. And so all of a sudden all the fingers began to point 19:49 toward the church of Rome. 19:53 And so as everybody was eyeing the church of Rome, 19:56 what was said about them, 19:57 they said: "Something has to be done. " 20:00 "Some changes have to be made because everybody 20:03 is looking in our direction. " So what happened? 20:07 Well certainly, there were two I want to call them Jesuit 20:10 priests that were used in this. The job came up to them. 20:14 "You've got to find something that would take eyes off 20:17 of the Roman church. " 20:20 And so history bears fact to this. You can study 20:22 it for yourself. As the eyes were on Rome... 20:26 And notice the teaching we're talking about today 20:28 is the basis or the foun- dation... Notice: I tell you... 20:33 of modern Protestant theology today. 20:37 And so it's danger... it's a big danger. 20:42 The first one - this is in the 16th century - 20:44 we'll go over it as quickly as we can. 20:46 His name was Alcázar, right? He applied this system 20:51 of what became known as the Preterist school of prophecy. 20:55 What does that simply mean in very simple terms? 20:58 He applied the beast powers - the beast powers of the book 21:02 of Revelation - to the very first century 21:05 and said they had "no future application. " 21:08 Well all of a sudden if you believed that 21:10 then eyes were off of Rome. 21:13 And so that was put out there and people began to be confused. 21:16 The second Jesuit priest, Francisco Ribera, 21:20 came up with the system known as Futurism... futurist: 21:25 the school of interpretation simply meaning - 21:28 again, to take our eyes off of Rome - he taught the antichrist 21:32 was to be someone that would be in the future 21:36 just before the end of time. 21:39 So they thought: "Well it can't possibly be the church of Rome 21:41 then. " So the Jesuits were putting out some false teaching. 21:44 And interesting: many of us are still following that today. 21:48 We're getting away from the Word of God. 21:52 Interesting... the future... they're talking about into 21:54 the future here, the end. 21:56 They said there would be a power that would rise up - 21:59 there would be a man of power here, single person... 22:01 He would be believed, you know, received by the Jews 22:05 They would rebuild Jerusalem. Notice some of the things here. 22:09 They would abolish Christianity. 22:11 They would deny Christ, and they would persecute the church. 22:15 Interesting thoughts here! 22:18 How sad to come up with a teaching that there is 22:21 no Scriptural basis. And may I say today: 22:24 many people still do that. 22:26 Then the church today come up with things that are not found 22:30 in the Word of God, and some- times you and I sit by idly 22:33 and do nothing about it. God would have us to protest that, 22:37 give us a "thus saith the Lord" for that. 22:40 I mean, just think about this: there's no scripture involved 22:43 in here that would say that these men were right 22:46 in their teaching. But I just have to say... 22:49 and I'm not trying to be mean about it... 22:50 but isn't that just typical of a Jesuit doctrine 22:54 that has hoodwinked millions? 22:56 Hoodwinked millions. Now... that's our concern. 22:59 Not trying to put a group down or trying to elevate a group, 23:02 but many people are confused on this Bible subject 23:06 about the second coming of Jesus Christ. 23:09 And of course, in the 1800's we find the Futurist group 23:13 we call here the view of Jesuit Ribera 23:15 push forward a few changes. 23:17 And so they added. Isn't that interesting? 23:19 If we need to add, we just add. 23:21 And they added a 7-year tribulation period. 23:24 Interesting. They take something out of Daniel 8:14 23:28 "Unto 2,300 days then the sanctuary shall be cleansed. " 23:30 Right? They take Jesus out of it. 23:32 You can't take Jesus out of anything. 23:34 You can't do it. 23:35 So they take Jesus out of the the center of prophecy, Jesus' 23:38 coming as the Messiah, Jesus dying on the cross, 23:40 gospel going to the Gentiles. 23:43 And they take it and they put it to the very end. 23:45 You can't take anything out of prophecy once it starts 23:48 and begins. And then they added the thing called 23:51 the secret rapture or a snatching away of individuals 23:55 or a church. Now there's danger there! 23:59 I'm not trying to criticize or condemn anyone, 24:01 but there is a danger because people believe in this doctrine 24:07 and this teaching here. They're not preparing 24:09 for what is coming upon this world as an overwhelming 24:11 surprise. They are not preparing for the coming of Jesus. Why? 24:15 Because if you don't make it the first time 24:17 you're going to have a second chance. 24:19 They're going to have another opportunity. 24:21 Listen: in this world you have one chance. 24:23 That's it. 24:26 But the enemy's saying: "Well don't worry so much about it 24:28 so much right now. Hey, there will come a little secret 24:31 rapture. Some will be taken; the others will remain 24:33 and will go on... they'll be evangelized. " 24:35 Is that what the Bible teaches? 24:37 That's NOT what the Bible teaches 24:39 and we're going to prove that from the Word of God. 24:42 That's a danger... that's a red flag 24:45 because millions are not prepared to go through a time 24:49 of trouble that this world has never seen. 24:52 Be nice to say there's not going to be a time of trouble. 24:55 Wouldn't it be nice to say that? 24:56 But that's not true! 24:58 It's going to take a special relationship with Jesus Christ. 25:02 That's maybe an experience that many of us don't have right now. 25:05 If you think you're just going to float and coast on through, 25:08 will you really be preparing in the right way 25:10 for what's coming on this world? 25:12 Let's do a quick run-through if you don't mind 25:14 of a few verses that those who believe 25:16 in the secret rapture use 25:18 and let's just see if they stand the test of Scripture. 25:23 In the book of Matthew chapter 24 25:25 verses 40 and 41. Matthew chapter what? 25:29 Twenty-four... right. Verses what? 25:32 You're good! Forty and forty-one. 25:35 Matthew 24:40-41. 25:37 I like to say this: "This is what the Bible says. " 25:41 This is not what a church says; 25:43 this is not what a denomination says. 25:45 They may say it, but that's not what we bank on. 25:48 It's what the Word of God... this is what God's Word says. 25:51 And we'll do it as quickly as we can. Notice verse 40: 25:53 "There shall be two... " Where? There's going to be two 25:56 "in the field. One's going to be... " What? 25:58 "one's going to be taken and the other left. " 26:01 Well if that be true, 26:02 now notice: if we stop right there 26:05 you might try to build a teaching, a doctrine on that. 26:07 But we can't stop there because the Bible doesn't stop there. 26:11 There's going to be what? "two in the field. 26:12 One's going to be taken and the other will remain. " 26:15 Well it makes a difference on the one that remains 26:17 what happens. Does that person remain alive 26:20 and they have another opportunity? 26:21 Or is that person going to be dead? 26:25 See what the Word of God says. But remember: 26:27 always in Scripture, kind of put a little line by this 26:30 if you will: always in Scripture - listen - 26:32 at the coming of Jesus there is always a separation 26:37 between those who are righteous 26:39 and those... the unrighteous. 26:41 We always know there's how many classes? 26:43 Two... the saved and the lost. 26:46 Here we say the saved and those who are left behind. 26:48 So we're going to look at it closely at what the Bible says. 26:51 Remember: every time it talks about the second coming 26:53 it's always the saved and the lost. 26:57 The righteous and maybe the unholy. 27:00 Now notice: does it mean when you say "left behind" 27:03 does it mean that they are alive or that they are dead? 27:07 All we have to do is back up a couple of verses 27:10 in Matthew chapter 24. It's beautiful! Verses 37 27:13 through 39. And I always like to say: 27:15 'Here's what the Bible says. " 27:17 Notice Matthew 24:37-39: 27:19 "But as the days of... "What? "Noah... " Good! "so shall 27:23 also the coming of the Son of Man be. " 27:25 How many times have we read that over and over 27:27 and over until it doesn't mean anything any more? 27:30 We need to pay attention to what the Word of God says 27:33 because God means what He says. 27:36 He means what He says! 27:38 "As the days of Noah... " Notice: what were they doing 27:41 in verse 38? The Bible says "they were eating and they were 27:44 drinking and they were... " Huh! 27:46 "until the day that Noah entered into the ark. " 27:49 Now notice: at the coming of Jesus or close of probation 27:52 or end of this world at the time of the flood 27:55 notice what took place here. What'd the Bible say? 27:58 "and took them all away. 27:59 So also will the coming of the Son of Man be. " 28:03 What does it say? Again, we look at there's a separation 28:07 at the time of the flood, is there not? 28:09 Yeah. The saved or the righteous did what? 28:13 Oh boy! We're such... Oh boy! 28:18 You can talk. It's all right... it's good. 28:20 Yeah. The saved, right? The righteous did what? 28:23 They obeyed the voice of God and they went into the ark. 28:26 Now remember: there's two groups, right? Separation. 28:29 Saved and the lost. 28:30 Those that were lost did what? They stayed outside of the ark. 28:35 Now, the key would be: are they alive or were they dead? 28:39 Well, they died, did they not? 28:41 Interesting! In other words they didn't stay alive 28:44 and have the opportunity to have a second chance 28:46 or, you know, think they could be saved some other way. 28:50 Interesting! The left behind - the wicked - 28:56 were outside and they drowned. "They died" 28:59 is what the Bible says. 29:01 Let's give a couple more passages so maybe it comes 29:03 a little clearer to us. 29:04 I Thessalonians chapter 4. I love this passage! 29:07 I know you do, too. I Thessalonians chapter 4:16-17. 29:14 Now notice: we're not going to read all here 29:16 except for time. But remember: we're talking at the coming 29:18 of Jesus what? There's going to be: somebody say: 29:21 "separation. " I'm going to just get so happy! 29:24 Well I'm not too happy yet because it's too weak. 29:27 Separation. At the coming of Jesus 29:30 there's going to be a? It starts with a S! 29:32 Separation. SEPARATION! 29:35 Always keep that in mind so you're not fooled. 29:38 There's a separation at the coming of Jesus: the righteous 29:40 and the wicked. We won't forget it 'cause 29:44 we're going over it here. The Bible says... Ooh! I love this! 29:47 The Bible says: "The dead in Christ shall rise first 29:50 and we which are alive and remain will be caught... " What? 29:53 Ooh! "be caught up to meet the Lord in the air 29:57 and so shall we ever be with the Lord. " 30:00 We're caught up in the clouds. 30:02 Remember this! Keep it in your mind... 30:04 keep it in your mind: when Jesus comes back the second time 30:07 His feet will not touch this earth. 30:11 Oh, I need somebody to listen. 30:15 If you believe otherwise, I'm telling you right now 30:18 based on God's Word you will be deceived. 30:21 If Christ comes back the second time... Some of you 30:24 have maybe never heard about the third coming of Jesus. 30:27 Whoo! Glory! I wish we had time to talk about that too. 30:31 Second time He comes and gathers the saints. 30:34 Isn't that right? That's what the Bible said here. 30:37 Now remember: the dead in Christ do what? 30:39 "The dead in Christ rise... " Whoo! "We which are alive 30:43 and remain will be caught up to meet Him in the air. " 30:47 Notice this: the dead in Christ do what? They rise FIRST! 30:50 What a wonderful time that will be when my Jesus 30:53 I shall see! It's going to be like a popcorn 30:56 machine... things going off. You see it? 30:58 Popcorn! People coming up out of the grave. 31:00 The righteous come up out of the grave. 31:02 It never mentions the wicked or the lost, the left behind here. 31:06 It just mentions the righteous. 31:08 So the righteous dead pop up out of their graves. 31:11 Oh what a day that will be! 31:12 We long to see momma and daddy and grammy and grampy. 31:15 Is that right? But notice it says: 31:17 "Then we which are alive... " Talking about the righteous. 31:20 "will be caught up to meet Him in the air. " 31:23 Oh well then... what about the wicked? 31:27 We've gotta think about the wicked here. 31:29 What about the ones - oh-oh - that are left behind? 31:32 Hmm. Well it's very easy if we go to the Word of God 31:37 in II Thessalonians 2:8. 31:40 II Thessalonians 2 verse 8. 31:42 Two words I want you to hang on today. 31:45 Remember the Bible said: "And then shall that wicked... " 31:49 The wicked here is translated guilty. 31:52 Here the guilty - the wicked - "is going to be revealed 31:56 whom the Lord shall... " What's the word? 31:58 "consume with the spirit of His mouth 32:02 and shall destroy with the... " What? 32:06 "the brightness of His coming. " 32:08 Two words notice in there. 32:09 It says... Now look: you can't get around this. 32:11 The Bible said when Jesus comes 32:13 the wicked then are going to be destroyed. 32:15 They're going to what? They're going to be "consumed" 32:17 the Bible says. The Bible says they're going to be destroyed. 32:20 Is that what happens to the...? Absolutely! That's what it says 32:24 right here: "by the brightness of His coming. " 32:26 So we know it's at the second coming of Jesus. 32:29 Yes, we certainly do! 32:31 Now notice this: those left wicked... what does it say? 32:35 Those that are left - the wicked - are destroyed 32:37 the Bible says. Wish we had time to do it 32:39 but Jeremiah chapter 4 if you're jotting notes down 32:41 verses 25 and 26. 32:45 Jeremiah was looking around after the coming of Jesus 32:48 and he simply said... I'm not going to read all 32:49 the verses... can't do it. He said: "I looked and 32:51 there was... " How many men? 32:53 The Bible said... Jeremiah said: "I looked around and lo 32:56 there was no man. " 32:58 Notice: "The cities were broken down at the presence 33:02 of the Lord. " 33:03 Something big is going on here! 33:08 What a time! What a day that will be when my Jesus 33:11 I shall see! Let's use one more. 33:12 I Thessalonians 5 verse 2. 33:16 I Thessalonians 5 verse 2. 33:18 Speaks about... and this is probably the one that most 33:21 people look at. They'll say: "Oh, He comes as a... " What? 33:24 "as a thief in the night. " 33:27 Let's look at that very carefully. 33:28 Also II Peter 3:10 refers to Him coming as a thief 33:33 in the night. So we need to look at that closely 33:36 because it sounds like if you're just reading through: 33:38 "Well, He comes like a thief" so there it is! 33:39 It's going to be secret. Huh! 33:41 Remember at the coming of Jesus there's what? 33:44 Somebody say separation. 33:46 Separation. That's called the "S" word. 33:51 There comes a separation. Righteous, right? 33:54 And the wicked. 33:56 There's a separation. What was the apostle saying here to us? 34:00 He was using the figure of a thief 34:04 to emphasize the unexpectedness of the coming of Jesus 34:09 because the Bible simply says right there 34:11 "If the man had been watching, his house would not have been 34:14 broken up or broken into. " 34:15 Right? Jesus is telling us that today. 34:18 If you are wide awake, you will not be shocked 34:20 at what's going on in the world today. 34:22 And most people should be shocked... and if you're not 34:24 shocked you need to get shocked... Is that OK? 34:30 because of the nearness of His coming. Amen! 34:36 If we want heaven to be our home, we have to be 34:38 like those that are in heaven... 34:40 and only Christ can do that in and through us. 34:44 Coming as a thief. 34:47 "Take heed, beware" it's telling us here. 34:49 Be prepared for all that's coming upon this world - 34:53 notice the words - as an "overwhelming surprise" to most. 35:00 It should not be a surprise. 35:02 Jesus never wanted His second coming to be a surprise. 35:05 He warned us over and over and over. 35:08 So we can look and we can see quickly here about 35:12 something called secret rapture 35:14 it's not jelling with Scripture. 35:17 Let me just give you a few scriptures - 35:19 I think just a few verses here - how Jesus will come. 35:23 Number one: It is literal. 35:26 The Bible says it's really going to happen. 35:28 I love I think it is Titus 2 verse 13. 35:31 The Bible said we're "look- ing for that Blessed Hope 35:35 and the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ. " 35:38 What are we looking for? 35:40 Somebody say Blessed Hope. 35:42 We're looking for that Blessed Hope. 35:44 See, somebody should jump out of their pew... maybe jump 35:46 over the pew because we're looking for that glorious hope. 35:50 Isn't that right? The glorious appearing of Jesus Christ! 35:53 After all, is that not what we want? 35:56 We want Jesus to come... isn't that right? 35:58 Interesting: we look at passage of Scripture 36:00 II Peter 3 verse 12. 36:03 II Peter 3:12 the Bible says: 36:06 "We're looking for and... " What? "hastening 36:09 the coming of the day of the Lord. " 36:11 We're not only looking for the coming of the Lord 36:15 but we have the opportunity by the grace of God 36:17 to hasten what? Hasten the coming of Jesus Christ! 36:21 Hasten it by doing what God has asked us to do. 36:25 This is not an ordinary movement. 36:26 If you feel like you're ordinary, something's wrong. 36:29 God has called you out of darkness into marvelous light. 36:32 God has given you a message to this church, 36:34 and I'll be if we haven't messed up that message 36:37 a lot of times. Is it OK to say that? Amen! 36:40 If I get a little too much here, you let me know. 36:43 I'll probably go on anyway, but... 36:46 Think about it: God has given a specific message 36:50 to give to the world to warn them that He's coming. 36:52 And He's giving a test called the three angels' messages 36:56 to give to the world: first, 2nd, and third angel's message 36:59 of Revelation chapter 14. 37:01 We dare not overlook that. It's a testing truth that God 37:04 has given. Everyone will be tested upon it 37:07 to see whether you're going to go into heaven or not 37:09 or you're going to hell. Say that, too? 37:14 Yeah... I just did. Thank you. 37:18 Yeah. "Looking for... " the Bible says... "and hastening 37:22 the coming of Jesus Christ. " 37:24 Here is a truth: Christ came in a personal way 37:28 the first time, did He not? 37:29 Christ came! Praise God for that! 37:32 You can read that in Matthew if you want and so on and so forth. 37:34 A truth: He's going to come the second time. 37:37 We can all read in our favorite passage of Scripture: 37:39 John chapter what? Fourteen, 1 through 3. 37:42 He said: "I go and prepare a place for you; and if I go 37:44 and prepare a place for you I? " Whoo! "I will come! " 37:48 Did somebody get excited? Did you feel a little something 37:50 in those dry bones? 37:54 Spirit of the Living God's going to breathe on you 37:56 and those dead bones are going to come alive one of these days. 37:58 Amen! We need to be a lively church... not dead church. 38:02 Not an unhappy church but a happy church! 38:05 I'll tell you: this is what God wants for His people 38:08 here in these last days. There's no doubt about it in my mind. 38:13 The Bible says so: His coming is a literal event. 38:18 It's really going to happen. 38:20 Hebrews chapter 9 the Bible says, verse 28: 38:23 "He shall appear the second time... " Notice this: 38:26 "without sin unto salvation. " 38:29 He's going to come the what? The second time 38:32 without sin unto salvation. 38:33 It's literal... you notice that? it's a personal event. 38:38 When the disciples you remember saw Jesus ascending up 38:41 to heaven... Man! What a treat that must have been! 38:43 What a treat that must have been! 38:45 Man! How it thrilled their souls 38:48 to see Jesus rising on those clouds. Right? Going back 38:50 into heaven. Maybe some of need by faith 38:53 to see that. We need to by faith see our Lord and our Savior 38:57 has gone to the heavens... the heavenly sanctuary... 39:00 and pleading our cases because we are in the hour 39:03 of God's judgment. We've been there a long time 39:06 and one of these days - umm - He's going to cut it short 39:08 and it's going to be all over with 39:09 and we'll quit playing church. 39:12 We need to quit playing church and get right with God 39:14 and get serious with God. 39:16 This is what it's all about right now. Get serious! 39:19 These disciples... they saw Jesus ascending up into heaven. 39:22 They were serious about it. And my how wonderful 39:25 in Acts chapter 1 verse 11. Notice this: 39:28 They were looking up and saw Jesus going, and an angel, 39:31 a couple angels appeared. Do you remember? 39:33 They said: "This same Jesus... " 39:35 "This same Jesus... " Ooh, I may say it again! 39:38 "This same Jesus... " Right? What does it say? 39:40 "who was taken up into heaven will so come in like 39:44 manner as you see Him go. " 39:46 You can't miss this truth. 39:48 He's going to come in like manner as you've seen Him go 39:52 into heaven. Acts chapter 1 verse 9... the Bible says: 39:55 "He was taken up and a cloud received Him 39:59 out of their sight. " The disciples saw it! 40:02 The disciples were witnesses of it. 40:04 I want to by faith to see it. 40:07 I want to take ahold of that promise of God. 40:09 I want to see it. I want to see my Jesus come, don't you? 40:12 in the clouds of glory. And I want to be taken 40:16 as it were... OK... taken up to meet Him in the air. 40:19 I'll tell you: if you miss heaven today, 40:21 you've missed your purpose for being here. 40:22 There's no reason for you to be here. 40:24 Is that OK? That's kind of personal, though, isn't it? 40:29 But there's no reason for me to be here; 40:31 there's no reason for you to be here 40:33 if heaven's not going to be your home. 40:35 Why? Let's put it that way. 40:36 I'm looking at... I challenge myself with that every day. 40:39 If heaven's not my home, what in this world am I doing here? 40:43 This is preparation, right? This is preparation. 40:46 Tests and trials? Praise God for those tests and trials. 40:49 They make the man of God and the woman of God. 40:54 Christ's coming is visible the Bible says. 40:58 Revelation 1:7. You see: again, it's secret. 41:01 Oh, there's people walking along. Boom! They're gone. 41:03 All we see is a pair of socks down there! 41:07 Well, what happened? 41:08 Well, I'm just saying... We have to think about it. 41:11 Maybe some really believe that and it needs to stop 41:14 because they're going to be fooled. 41:15 It's not about right and wrong as far as 41:18 "This group's right; this group's wrong. " 41:19 I'm not doing that. 41:21 I'm doing what God said in His Word because they will be 41:23 fooled. And God says: "No! " He doesn't want us to be fooled. 41:28 He said: "Behold, He cometh with clouds... " 41:31 Whoo! "and every? " EYE! 41:34 Now we've got the unbelievers. 41:36 You've got the doubting Thomas's... the skeptics. 41:39 But He said: "Every eye shall see Him. " 41:42 The first thing out of their mouth is: 41:43 "Well, that's impossible! " 41:47 Let me do it different: that's impossible. 41:54 You know how they do it. 41:56 Nothing is impossible with God! 42:00 When He says "Every eye shall see Him" 42:02 in Revelation 1:7 we need to get with the program 42:05 and say: "That ends the deal right there. " 42:06 That ends it: EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM. 42:09 "Well, but we're on kind of a round planet. " 42:12 Do you think God's not big enough to perform what He says 42:15 in His Word? I believe He's big enough. 42:17 I KNOW HE CAN DO IT! 42:19 Some of you want to study some things to get excited about 42:22 and I'm going to throw this out. 42:23 And some of... I started to say "throw something back. " 42:25 No... don't do that. 42:27 I love to throw things out. Challenge your mind with it. 42:30 Maybe you've been studying on it. I believe 42:32 studying the Word of God... and you can read some verses 42:36 there like Job 38 verse 31. 42:39 It talks about Orion's belt loosening. Have you heard that? 42:43 Rethink about that. Those who gaze up into heaven 42:47 look at Orion and they're saying "We can't see inside all of that 42:52 but there's some of the most beautiful lights and things 42:54 in there that's not in all the rest of the heavens. " 42:56 "There's something up there that's different! " 43:00 "Something's gleaming, glaring, coming out of there! 43:04 We don't know what it is. " And it's interesting. 43:06 They've studied it, and they said: "The opening in Orion 43:09 is between 200 and 300,000 miles across. " 43:13 Somebody think about that. 43:15 This little old earth is what? 25,000 miles around it. 43:18 Oh, we're nothing... but you know what? 43:21 God thinks we're everything. 43:22 Amen! Yeah, He thinks you're so special. 43:25 If there'd just been one... 43:27 But here it is! All of a sudden they say: "We don't understand. 43:29 It seems like such a big open- ing. " Can we even comprehend 43:33 200,000 miles? 300,000 miles? 43:37 But notice: it's growing and it's expanding because I believe 43:41 that's where heaven is going to come out of and that 43:44 New Jerusalem... Heaven is emptied 43:47 and all will come through it. And listen: it has to expand 43:50 or heaven can't come through it. 43:52 Well, I guess I might just as well sit down. 43:58 We're wondering about here a little 25,000... 44:01 Well: "Every eye will see Him. " 44:03 Do you realize the billions and trillions and the quadrillions 44:06 of angels and the New Jerusalem that comes out of it? 44:09 It has to expand 44:11 before God can bring heaven down. 44:14 Whoa! I tell you... you talk about exciting! 44:19 Do some study on that. 44:20 Huh? And you know what? You'll never say: 44:23 "Oh well, every eye will see Him. I don't believe that. " 44:26 Yeah! Oh, what a wonderful time that will be! 44:30 Matthew chapter 24 verse 30. Oh! Our time is almost gone 44:32 already. Whoo! It says: "When the sign of the Son of Man 44:36 will appear in heaven... " Matthew 24 verse 30... 44:39 "and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds 44:42 of heaven... " He's going to come "with great power 44:45 and with great glory. " 44:47 How's He coming? The Bible says: "Power and great glory. " 44:50 It's not secret. 44:52 Not at all. There's nothing secret about it! 44:55 The Bible's very clear on that. 44:56 I mean, how many times have we read Matthew chapter 24:27? 45:01 "So as the lightning cometh out of the east and also shineth 45:04 unto the west so shall also the coming of... " What? 45:07 "of the Son of Man be. " That's pretty clear. 45:10 Why if you're out anywhere and you see lightning 45:12 even if you have your eyes closed there's still an effect. 45:14 You see that light. The Bible says that Jesus' coming 45:17 is going to be like lightning shining from the east 45:19 all the way unto the west. Awesome! 45:23 Christ's coming is going to be an audible event. 45:26 Revelation 16 verses 18-20. 45:29 The Bible says there was: "Noises and thunders 45:32 and lightning. " Hmm... at what? Talking about the coming of 45:35 Jesus here. Does it sound like it's something quiet? 45:37 Something's that's... No! Not at all. 45:39 "Such a mighty earthquake. Every island fled away 45:43 and the mountains were not found. " 45:46 That sounds noisy to me. 45:48 Sounds like something is going on. 45:50 And again we go back to this passage of I Thessalonians 4:16. 45:54 I could go back there as well on that for a while. 45:56 I Thessalonians 4:16: "For the Lord shall descend... " 46:00 notice this... "from heaven with a shout 46:03 and a trump. " Whoo! He's going to sound the trumpet 46:09 so loud that it will pierce the ears of the dead. 46:13 Now that's pretty loud, is it not? 46:15 OK... just something for you to chew on. 46:17 We'll do it later. 46:18 Note: "shout and the trump of God. " 46:22 Now, let's ask a simple question: 46:24 will there be a rapture? 46:26 Notice this. Let me... Will there be a rapture 46:29 that's called a catching up? Yes, there will be... 46:32 notice... in this sense: that there will be a catching up. 46:37 That's what it means... but not in the sense 46:39 of a secret rapture because the Bible says so. Amen! 46:43 Because the Bible says so. That's pretty clear. 46:46 Clear from Scripture. 46:48 The Lord's coming is just the opposite of a secret 46:52 rapture. In fact, it's literal. Right? 46:55 It's personal; it's visible; it's audible. 46:59 It's glorious! It's climactic! 47:02 It's decisive when Jesus comes! 47:04 Remember: when Jesus comes I tell you, everything needs to 47:07 be in order because there will not be a second chance. 47:10 We need to be ready for the coming of Jesus. 47:12 What is the great danger in our time we have left? 47:15 There is a great danger in why we even speak on subjects 47:17 like this. First of all, the Bible tells us 47:20 in I Thessalonians 5 verse 21... 47:23 the Bible says to prove how many things? All. 47:26 To prove all things and then you do what? 47:28 Throw out the rest? No... you hold what? 47:31 "Hold fast to that which is good. " 47:33 You prove all things. The great danger 47:36 in accepting this false teaching of the secret rapture 47:40 is it teaches people that before Jesus comes... 47:44 notice this... the church will be what? 47:47 Will be raptured or taken away 47:50 and it will not go through the time of trouble. 47:54 The little time of trouble? No, the big time of trouble. 47:56 I've talked to many people who believe this. 47:59 "I'm not going to worry about it because when times get tough 48:02 in this world I'm gone. " 48:03 Then just what if... what if you're not gone? 48:07 Have you made preparations? 48:10 And my, there need to be some preparations for the coming 48:12 of the Lord because the Bible is clear. 48:14 Daniel 12:1 the Bible says: 48:16 "And at that time shall Michael... " What? 48:19 "stand up. The great Prince which standeth for the children 48:23 of the people. There shall be a time of trouble... " 48:26 Notice this: "such as never was 48:29 since there was a nation. " 48:31 This is talking about before Jesus comes 48:34 there's going to be a time of trouble 48:35 that we haven't seen before. 48:36 And when you read some of the things that have taken place 48:39 you say: "How could it be? " 48:40 Remember: God impressed, right? the writers to put it down. 48:43 He said: "There will be a time of trouble. " 48:46 There's a time of trouble right now the time that we're living 48:48 in right now. There's things happening in the world 48:50 right now that we'd better be believing that Jesus is soon 48:53 to come. We've looked at the things: they're warning signs. 48:56 The judgments of God are falling in the land because 48:59 we have rebelled against God's law. 49:01 We've rebelled against truth. 49:03 We've watered down the truths of God's Word. 49:05 We're not following the path that God said for us 49:07 to follow through. You remember in Israel all God ever said 49:10 to them is what? "Obey My voice. " 49:13 That's all He ever said. Just "be obedient 49:14 and obey My voice. " He's saying the same thing to us today 49:17 and we've turned a different direction. And we need to 49:20 turn back before it's too late. Amen! 49:22 God said: "The man of God needs to lift up a trumpet 49:26 and spare not. Cry aloud and spare not. " 49:29 This is the time in Joel chapter 2- I think it's 2- 49:33 "blow the trumpet in Zion. " 49:34 Sound an alarm, right? 49:37 Why? To wake up the people! 49:40 The enemy's been trying to captivate us and arrange 49:43 the affairs of life that you and I are caught up 49:46 in all the things that are going on in the world. 49:48 We're caught up with our jobs. 49:49 We're caught up even where we live. We say: "I'd love to. " 49:53 We have to realize for over 100 and some odd years 49:55 we have known the truth that we need to... 49:57 Now I'm not trying to be ugly to anybody here 49:59 but I want you to think about it. 50:01 I'd feel back to go back and not say anything. 50:04 We know that it's way past time to move out of the cities. 50:07 We do know that it's way past time. 50:11 The cities are going to be so closed up one of these days. 50:15 All you do is look over in where is it? China? 50:17 Beijing. Look at what's going on over there. 50:21 That's what could happen in these large cities. 50:23 God is calling His people out of the city. 50:26 He's calling away from the things of this world 50:29 and to focus upon Him and to get their lives right with God. 50:32 A time of trouble Daniel said. Daniel chapter 11 50:36 when you come to the end of it it's talking about this power 50:39 that exists is coming to an end. 50:41 At that time it says Michael - Jesus - is going to stand up. 50:45 Jesus takes the field of action. 50:47 Jesus begins to fight for His people. 50:50 Man... what a day! That's called the great controversy 50:52 that's going on. 50:54 God's come to deliver His people. 50:55 Are you going to be one of them? I say right now 50:57 the world is in a mess. It's in the biggest mess 51:00 that I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. 51:02 Things are going on that are absolutely may I say insane. 51:07 I'm going to use the word goofy. 51:10 It doesn't make sense. 51:13 It's happening before our eyes and some of us are just blinking 51:16 and saying: "Well, maybe that's just the way things 51:19 are happening in the world. " God is blowing a trumpet. 51:22 He's saying: "Get prepared; I'm coming. " 51:25 "I'm coming to deliver you right now. " 51:27 "I'm going to stand in your behalf. " 51:30 God stands over His people. 51:31 He stands under His people; He stands around His people. 51:34 He stands all around His people. 51:36 He said: "I'm going to be your shield and buckler. " 51:38 "I'm going to take care of you. " 51:40 You say: "Well I'm not sure about that. " 51:42 With the children of Israel did He not take a cloud 51:45 over them by day because the sun was hot in the wilderness? 51:48 Did He not have a fire over them at nighttime 51:50 to keep them warm? He was over them; 51:52 He was taking care of them as He said: "I'll take care of you. " 51:56 We're talking about a time right now, dear friends... 51:58 Think about this time that's coming on us 52:00 when the third angel's message comes to a close. 52:03 The third angel's message is going to come to a close 52:05 today, and some of you are going to be sound asleep. 52:07 Some of you are going to be snoring so loud... 52:09 OK... you know what I'm talking about. 52:11 It's time to wake up before then. Why? 52:13 Because one of these days it's going to come to an end. 52:16 Jesus is going to say: "It's all over. " 52:18 He stands up in the sanctuary. 52:19 His work is done as mediator between God and man, 52:23 and we're going to have to live in the sight of a holy God 52:25 without a mediator. That means we have to be righteous 52:28 before God. That means we have to so commit our life to Him 52:31 that we've lived... Oh, I know it's hard 52:34 for somebody to live without sin. 52:37 Why? Because there's no mediator! 52:39 Revelation 15 verse 8... read it. 52:42 Revelation 15 verse 8. 52:47 Smoke fills the temple of God. No one else was able 52:50 to enter in when He says: "It's over. " 52:54 There's coming a time when every person on this planet 52:58 has made a decision either for or against Christ. 53:02 Man... how about your decision? 53:04 Have you made that decision for or against Christ 53:06 or are you still "dilly-dallying" around? 53:08 There's some dilly-dalliers around in here! 53:13 Is it OK to say that? 53:15 I always love that 'cause I already spit it out first. 53:20 There always is and we don't want that today. 53:24 The time is coming... We've been praying for the 53:26 Latter Rain experience. If you're praying for the 53:29 Latter Rain experience that means sin has to go 53:31 out of your life. He's not going to throw His cloak 53:33 of righteousness over you while there's still 53:35 one unconfessed sin. 53:36 It's so simple to come to Him right now, isn't it? 53:38 "Confess our sins... He's faithful and just. " I John 1:9 53:41 I John 1:9: "If we confess our sins... " 53:45 He's what? "He's faithful and just to forgive us our sins 53:48 and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. " 53:51 Are we prepared for the time of trouble 53:54 that's coming on this world? 53:56 Are we really prepared for it? 53:57 Well, some of us say: "Yeah, we are! " 53:59 I look at myself and I don't know. 54:00 I still think of Joel chapter 2 I mentioned while ago. 54:02 "BLOW the trumpet in Zion! " 54:04 "Sound the alarm in My holy mountain. " 54:08 "Let all the inhabitants... " the Bible says... "of the land" 54:11 Notice this: "let us tremble. " 54:13 He didn't say be dancing around and carrying on. 54:15 The Bible says we live in an hour that we need to tremble 54:18 before our God. That means we need to really get it right 54:22 before God. And I say today "If it's not right with God, 54:25 then why not make it right with God today? " 54:28 You know, in a Camp Meeting even like this... 54:29 I'm just going to close this... I'm closing it. 54:32 We need to talk some serious business here. 54:35 Is that all right? Amen! We'll talk some serious business 54:37 here because there'll be someone who came here 54:39 that's carrying a burden that you shouldn't be carrying. 54:42 There's things that are going on that shouldn't be going on. 54:45 I know I was awake about 2 or 2:30 this morning. The Lord 54:48 impressed my mind that some things are going on 54:50 with people who are here and I don't know anything about it 54:53 but He said: "Those things have to cease. " 54:57 And so, needless to say, it kept me up all night. 55:01 And today's the day to get rid of them, to cast them 55:04 at the feet of Jesus, isn't that right? Amen! 55:05 Oh, some of us... we have no idea what an altar's for 55:08 because we've never come up. 55:09 This is what the altar is for. Somebody's still with me? 55:12 It's what an altar is for. 55:14 And I think the call needs to be given today 55:16 that I want to make sure everything's right with God. 55:19 I want to make sure. Maybe we've drifted away 55:21 and we need to come. 55:23 Maybe there's something in our life that's a little bit 55:24 too heavy for us... we can't carry that load 55:26 and we're asking Jesus to carry it. 55:28 You want to cast it at His feet. 55:31 And so I ask that you would come forward today. 55:33 We're going to have special prayer for you. 55:34 I'm going to ask my wife to get a microphone or something 55:37 and come up here. I want you to pray with me. 55:39 Come up... don't hesitate. We've just got a few minutes. 55:42 We've got right here less than two minutes. 55:44 There's no use to hesitate 55:45 because there are some here today that we realize 55:48 that we even talk to that they are dealing with evil spirits 55:51 and those evil spirits need to go. You raised your hand? 55:54 OK... you're the one. 55:55 OK... today it doesn't need to carry on any more. 55:57 It needs to end right now. 55:59 Some of you are doing things you know you shouldn't be doing. 56:01 It's time to come up and give them to Jesus. 56:03 This is the time to make things right with God. Amen! 56:08 This is what Camp Meeting is about. 56:10 This is where we begin to taste the Latter Rain experience 56:13 as we come on our knees and begging and pleading God 56:16 that heaven may be our home. 56:17 Don't you want it to be your home? Yes, you do! 56:20 Amen. And you want to lay these things at the feet of Jesus. 56:23 Today you're going to do that. There's plenty of room. 56:25 Somebody's scared to come up close to here. 56:28 Come on up; that's the way. Praise God! 56:30 That's right. We need not be afraid. You know what? 56:32 You're not coming up before man; you're coming up before Jesus. 56:34 That's right. The Spirit of the Living God is speaking 56:37 to your heart. You didn't get up here because 56:38 man said something. You got up because the Holy Spirit 56:41 was speaking in your heart and your mind 56:42 realizing you need to re-dedicate your life 56:44 to Jesus Christ. And we're going to do that today by the grace 56:47 of God, is that not right? Rest of you? Right! 56:49 Some of you are still in your seats. 56:51 You need to get up out of your seats. 56:53 Not trying to be bossy or ugly 56:54 but this is the time to make it right, isn't it? 56:57 We need to have unity of spirit. 56:58 We want God's work, right? to go on to completion. Amen! 57:01 Yes! Right. We want everything... 57:03 we're going to cast it at His feet and we're just going to go 57:05 out, whatever the time is, we're going to go out praying. 57:08 Is that all right? We're going to go out as it closes 57:10 and we're going to pray in the name of Jesus 57:13 that what you brought here you've cast them down 57:15 and you're not going to pick them up again. That's right. 57:17 That which has defeated you day in and day out 57:20 is no more... the demons have to go. 57:22 That's right. The demons have to go! 57:25 The demons are not to control a man at all. 57:27 Praise God... yes. Give that mind to Jesus Christ. 57:30 I'm not trying to pick on any of you you understand. 57:32 This is a time to be honest... it's OK. |
