00:09 Who was Jesus? 00:11 He had compassion for the weak and the hurting. 00:15 He loved every person He met 00:17 and taught them how to love. 00:20 His great heart helped all those who came near Him, 00:24 but most of all, He was a friend. 00:26 That was who He was. 00:29 Now, find out who He is. 00:32 Music... 00:37 Hello Friends, we are thrilled that you are joining us 00:41 for what is now our final Presentation 00:43 in this Camp Meeting entitled: Who is Jesus? 00:47 Tonight we have Pastor John Lomacang 00:50 who is ready to deliver a powerful message entitled: 00:53 Our Soon Coming King. 00:55 He's going to be teaching us and exhorting the Word of God 00:58 in such a powerful way to teach us about Jesus Christ 01:01 and His soon return 01:02 and we know we're going to be very blessed by that. 01:04 My name is Ryan Day and I have the privilege and honor 01:06 not only to host this particular hour 01:09 but also to set kind of a stage for Pastor's message 01:12 and the message of the song that's come to my mind 01:15 that the Lord placed upon my heart to sing this evening 01:18 is entitled: I have fixed my mind on another time. 01:22 We are indeed living in a time 01:24 where we're living around so many distractions 01:26 and hopefully, we have our mind fixed on another time... 01:29 a time when Jesus Christ will return to receive His people. 01:33 Music... 01:47 I have fixed my mind 01:51 on another time, 01:55 On another time 02:01 And Here I mean to stand until 02:08 God gives me more light 02:14 And that is today, today 02:21 Today until He comes 02:28 I have fixed my mind on another time, 02:36 On another time 02:43 Music... 02:46 I have set my course on the narrow way, 02:52 on the narrow way 02:58 For I know the time is close at hand 03:05 For which I watch and pray 03:11 And that is today, today 03:18 Today until He comes 03:25 I have set my course on the narrow way, 03:31 on the narrow way 03:38 Even so Lord come quickly 03:45 This is my fervent prayer 03:51 For I've caught a Glimpse of glory 03:58 And I'm longing to be there 04:06 Music... 04:18 When shall the Son of Man appear 04:25 The trumpet sound its blast 04:31 And Christ descend in glorious fire 04:38 with all the saints amassed 04:44 We'll rise with those who sleep no more 04:50 To meet Him in the air 04:57 When shall the Son of Man appear, 05:06 The Son of Man appear 05:15 Even so Lord come quickly 05:21 This is my fervent prayer 05:28 For I've caught a Glimpse of glory 05:34 And I'm longing to be there 05:41 For I've caught a Glimpse of glory 05:51 And I'm longing to 06:00 be there 06:06 I have fixed my mind 06:12 on another time, 06:18 On another 06:23 time... 06:30 time. 06:38 Music... 06:46 Praise the Lord, 06:49 I know that song has prepared my heart. 06:53 Thank you Ryan for calibrating our thoughts to another time. 07:00 Right now, we're going to ask for the Lord 07:03 to continue to pour in this place... in my heart 07:08 the Spirit that was surrounding Ryan 07:13 as he communicated the truth of another time 07:16 that we are looking forward to, let us pray. 07:19 "Gracious Father in heaven, 07:21 our hearts long for another time 07:26 and as William Miller said, 07:28 he's going to continue to look and hope and pray 07:32 until faith becomes sight. 07:35 As we consider our soon-coming King, 07:40 we pray that our minds will be fixed 07:42 that Thou speak to our hearts 07:45 as we look forward 07:47 to the fulfillment of Your eternal promise. 07:51 In Jesus' name I pray, amen. " 07:56 Pause... 07:58 Isaiah 29 and verse 9 lays the foundation 08:02 for the hope-filled message... our soon-coming King. 08:08 It is the utterance that is yet to be proclaimed 08:11 the Prophet Isaiah is given a glimpse 08:14 of the day when pain and heartache will forever vanish 08:20 and he says in Isaiah 25 and verse 9, 08:23 "And it will be said in that day: 08:26 'Behold, this is our God; 08:29 we have waited for Him, 08:31 and He will save us. 08:33 This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; 08:37 we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. " 08:43 What a day that is going to be! 08:45 I never heard about his name before 08:48 but I found out about a gentleman named Steve Dennis. 08:51 Steve Dennis is the Keynote Speaker 08:55 and Strategic Advisor on Retail Innovation. 08:59 He's also labeled as a top ten Retail Influencer. 09:03 Steve Dennis is the Senior Forbes Contributor 09:06 and also the best-selling author of the book: 09:09 Remarkable Retail. 09:12 In his 2017 article titled: Nobody Saw That Coming, 09:17 Steve Dennis wrote the following... 09:21 and I want you to hear because this is amazing 09:24 as it begins to put our present world 09:27 in the framework 09:28 of not being prepared for the coming of the Lord. 09:31 He says in the article: Nobody Saw That Coming, 09:35 "The pain and shock we experience 09:37 from the worst mass shooting in the United States' history, 09:41 is the most extreme we have ever felt... 09:44 until the next time. " 09:45 He said, 09:47 "We reel at how disruptive innovation is transforming 09:51 our Industries 09:53 and surely we tell ourselves the pace will slow down 09:57 and yet it doesn't. " 09:59 Here he goes on to say, 10:00 "We are amazed by the magnitude of the devastation 10:05 caused by a natural disaster 10:07 but then, the one that follows is even worse. " 10:11 He goes on to say, "We are surprised 10:14 when people rise up to fight against 10:16 decades of systematic inequality and oppression. " 10:20 And he asked the question, 10:22 "Haven't we transcended to a post-racial world?" 10:26 Steve goes on to say, 10:28 "Faced with escalating and challenging situations, 10:31 we often tell ourselves that nobody saw that coming 10:35 or there was just no way to prevent this. " 10:40 And he said, "Of course, when we say 10:43 'Nobody saw that coming,' 10:44 most of the time what we mean is, 10:47 'I didn't see it coming. '" 10:49 But the reality is, we did not see it because 10:54 as Steve says, 10:56 "We were not looking. " 10:58 Steve Dennis says in his diagnosis, 11:01 "The reason why we missed what was coming... " 11:04 he said, "We ignored the facts. 11:05 We deny the uncomfortable realities. 11:09 We were afraid to confront our fears. 11:11 We lose energy when it got too hard. 11:15 We decided it was someone else's job... " 11:18 but he said, "Spoiler alert... 11:21 it is not someone else's job... it is ours. 11:24 It is our job to know what is coming, 11:26 it is our job to be informed... " 11:29 and then he says, "Lying to ourselves 11:31 isn't helpful... 11:33 in fact, it just makes it worse. " 11:35 Steve Dennis concluded by saying... 11:38 and this is powerful, he said, 11:40 "The truth is... if we are willing to see the evidence, 11:46 it is there... 11:48 and much of what is happening" he said, 11:51 "is completely predictable. " 11:54 When I read that I said, "I can use that in my article, 11:57 I can use that in my sermon. " 11:59 He said, "Much of what is happening 12:02 is completely predictable. " 12:04 I agree with Steve because I agree with Jesus. 12:10 You see, much of what is happening in our world today 12:13 is predictable. 12:15 The words of Jesus in John chapter 14 verse 29 12:18 tells us that nothing happening in our world today 12:22 prior to His soon return is a surprise to Him. 12:25 He said to His disciples in John 14: 29, 12:28 "And now I have told you before it comes, 12:32 that when it does come to pass, you may believe. " 12:37 So, it's not a surprise to Jesus 12:39 and for those who are looking, 12:42 it will not be a surprise to them 12:44 but Steve said it so well, 12:46 "The truth is there if we're willing to see. " 12:49 And so, today before I outline 12:51 the various ways that I know that our Lord is soon to come, 12:56 that our Great King is soon to break the eastern skies... 13:00 I am praying that you are willing to see 13:02 and that when you see you are unwilling to deny 13:06 the facts of God's Word 13:08 because the most glorious... 13:11 the earth shattering... 13:13 reality-shifting event of the coming of Jesus 13:16 forecast in the human history 13:20 that we are on the cusp of the return of our Lord 13:24 and praise God for that. 13:25 Everything we see today is about to end. 13:28 We are standing on the portal of the promises 13:32 that Jesus has made 13:33 and when Jesus makes a promise, 13:35 my Brothers and Sisters, we can trust that promise. 13:38 The reality is... the least thing that Jesus desires 13:42 is to make His glorious return a secret 13:46 because He predicted "the world that we would experience" 13:49 prior to His return. 13:52 In Matthew chapter 24 and verse 3, 13:55 notice what Jesus said to His disciples. 13:57 "And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives, 14:01 the disciples came unto Him privately saying, 14:04 'Tell us, when shall these things be? 14:09 And what shall be the sign of Thy coming, 14:12 and of the end of the world?" 14:15 Let me make it very clear, 14:18 before I share the facts, the good news is, 14:22 this awful, depressing, degrading world 14:27 is soon to come to an end. 14:30 You see Friends, 14:31 these days are filled with bad news. 14:34 These are the days of war and international conflict. 14:38 These are the days of insecurity and fearful hearts. 14:42 These are the days of economic instability 14:45 and political uncertainty. 14:48 We are witnessing the days of broken families 14:51 and crumbling marriages. 14:52 These are the days of doctrinal controversy 14:57 and religious deception on a scale that is unimaginable 15:02 to the human mind. 15:03 These are the days when the world is changing for the worst. 15:08 But the question is: Why... 15:10 when we consider the words of Jesus. 15:12 It is in this kind of world that the words of Jesus 15:16 become contextual 15:17 and become valuable to the saint 15:19 who is barely holding on 15:21 waiting for his fulfilled promises. 15:24 In John chapter 14 verse 27, 15:26 Jesus said... in this kind of climate, 15:28 "Peace I leave with you, 15:31 My peace I give to you; 15:33 not as the world gives do I give to you. " 15:35 And then He says, 15:37 "Let not your heart be troubled, 15:39 neither let it be afraid. " 15:42 When we see the world around us... 15:44 instability... uncertainty... 15:46 everything that we thought could happen 15:48 becoming worse and worse as the clock ticks... 15:51 Jesus says, 15:52 "This is not the world that you are going to find peace... 15:55 the only peace you're going to have 15:57 is in my unfailing promises. " 15:59 And so, Sign Number 1: 16:01 when we think about the coming of Jesus, 16:03 the evidence is abundant. 16:08 We are surrounded by disbelief and rejection. 16:11 Consider the following, 16:13 I know the summer's on its way, 16:15 how? 16:16 Because the evidence is abundant. 16:18 And on the same plane I know that Jesus is coming... 16:20 why? 16:21 Because the evidence is abundant. 16:24 Consider one of the signs of the coming of Jesus. 16:26 Consider one of the evidences that lay the foundation 16:31 helping us know that Jesus is soon to return. 16:33 2nd Peter chapter 3 verses 3 and 4, 16:37 one of the signs of the end. 16:39 Jesus, speaking through Peter says, 16:41 "Knowing this first: 16:43 that scoffers will come in the last days... " 16:46 what are they going to do? 16:48 He says, "Walking according to their own lusts... " 16:52 to their own desires... 16:53 and they're going to be saying, 16:55 "Where is the promise of His coming? 16:58 For since the fathers fell asleep, 17:01 all things continue as they were 17:04 from the beginning of creation. " 17:07 Let me make a point here, 17:09 nothing could be further from the truth. 17:12 Now, I'm getting older but I'm not that old 17:15 and I can tell you that as I grow up, 17:17 the world has changed drastically. 17:19 The world of the '70s and the '80s 17:21 are not the worlds of the 2000s and the 21s... 17:25 the world is quite different. 17:27 There was a day when a handshake was all that was needed 17:31 to seal a deal. 17:32 Today, even if you write your name on a Contract, 17:36 people don't believe it any longer. 17:38 There was a day when preachers told the truth. 17:40 Today... don't believe somebody because they look legitimate... 17:44 we've got to trust only God's Word. 17:47 These are the days when people really don't really believe 17:51 that Jesus is coming again. 17:53 As Peter says... 17:54 some people say, "Well, when my dad died, 17:57 he taught that Christ was coming... 17:58 and his father taught the same thing 18:00 and his father's father taught the same thing... 18:02 why hasn't He come yet?" 18:04 Well, I like what H.M.S. Richards Jr. said 18:07 when he was laying on his hospital bed 18:09 taking his last breaths 18:12 when somebody said to him, 18:13 "Your father would always say, 18:15 'Jesus is coming again... ' what do you say?" 18:17 And I love this, 18:19 I never forgot it, he said, 18:20 "Jesus is on His way, praise God for that... 18:23 He is on His way and the signs all foretell. " 18:27 But the reason why people ignore the signs is because 18:30 2nd Peter 3 and verse 5 says, 18:31 "They willingly forget. " 18:34 They choose to forget. 18:37 Because Jesus hasn't returned, 18:40 it doesn't mean that He is not coming. 18:42 Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 37 says these words, 18:46 "For yet a little while... " 18:49 a little while... 18:51 "And He that shall come will come 18:54 and will not tarry. " 18:56 Let me say today, 18:58 as a preacher who has trusted God's Word... 19:00 as a preacher who believes the Word of God... 19:03 Jesus will not postpone His soon return. 19:07 We can trust the promises of Jesus... 19:10 we can trust that what He said, is going to come to pass. 19:14 Jesus was coming... 19:17 the first time He did 19:18 but it took 4,000 years before He came. 19:20 He's been gone for nearly 2,000 years 19:23 but He will come again... 19:24 we can trust the promises of Jesus. 19:26 He will not postpone His soon return 19:30 and here's the reason why. 19:31 He's got children to rescue 19:34 and I'm one of them that is waiting for my Lord to come 19:37 and take me out of this undeniably corrupt world. 19:41 I am looking forward to the day when I can stand 19:44 on the terra firma where righteousness dwells forever. 19:49 Praise God for that. 19:51 But just like September 11th in 2001, 19:55 the world is comforted by false reports. 19:58 Jeremiah 6 and verse 14 tells us, 20:01 "They have also healed the hurt of my people slightly, 20:07 saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. " 20:11 How can we have peace in this world 20:15 when we reject the Prince of Peace? 20:17 Let me be clear... 20:19 you don't find peace in abundant financial stability. 20:23 You may have millions in the bank 20:25 but you still won't have peace. 20:26 As a matter of fact, the more money you have, 20:28 the less peace you'll have. 20:30 I've heard stories about millionaires 20:32 barricading themselves in their hotels... 20:34 their hair and their nails growing... 20:37 they are so so unsure 20:38 about what's going to happen with their money 20:41 that they can't even think straight. 20:43 Friends, I say today, 20:44 my money is not in the Stock Market, 20:46 my money is in the promises of the Lord 20:49 when He says, 20:50 "I will supply all of your need. " 20:52 So, don't seek to establish the promises of this life 20:56 on things that will pass away 20:58 because one day, money will be thrown in the streets 21:02 and the gold and the silver on which we base our stability 21:07 will have no more value 21:08 than the coins on which they have been printed. 21:11 In the book Evangelism, page 704 and paragraph 1, 21:17 Inspiration tells us this, 21:19 "Through the writings of Ellen White, 21:21 we are given this promise. 21:23 She says, 21:24 "Angels are now restraining the winds of strife 21:27 until the world shall be warned of its coming doom: 21:31 but a storm is gathering... " 21:33 let me repeat that again, 21:35 "but a storm is gathering, ready to burst upon the earth, 21:39 and when God shall bid His angels loose the winds, 21:43 there will be such a scene of strife 21:45 as no pen can picture. " 21:48 Let me ask you the question, 21:49 "Where would you want to be on that day? 21:51 Would you want to be in your penthouse 21:53 counting your dollars 21:55 or would you want to be standing on the promises of Jesus? 21:57 Would you want to be on our expensive boat 22:01 that has been floating on the seas 22:02 or will you rather be floating 22:04 on the sure word of God's promises? 22:06 Where will you stand on that day? 22:09 Will you take comfort in your degrees 22:11 or will you take comfort in the resurrected Savior? 22:14 Where will you be standing on that day? 22:16 Because the day is coming 22:18 when everything that man has built 22:20 will be nothing but dust under the soles of our feet. 22:24 On that day, I want to be ready to stand on the sea of glass. 22:27 I want to be ready to walk through the gates 22:29 into the New Jerusalem. 22:31 I want to be among those whose robes are white 22:34 in the purity of the righteousness of Jesus. 22:37 I want to be one of those sitting at the Welcome Table 22:40 covered by the blood of the Lamb 22:42 wearing the crown of His glory 22:44 and saying, "Holy, holy, is the Lamb. " 22:47 I'm looking forward to that day... 22:49 delayed but it's coming. 22:51 Well, you see Friends, the condition of our world today 22:54 is becoming like the world in Noah's day. 22:57 It's comparable to an age gone by 22:59 when sin and degradation was the highlight of the day. 23:04 Genesis 6 and verse 11 describes that kind of corrupt world... 23:07 a world gone by 23:09 and our world is patterning itself after the days of Noah. 23:13 Genesis chapter 6 and verse 11 we read 23:16 what kind of world it was. 23:17 The Bible says, 23:19 "The earth also was corrupt before God 23:22 and the earth was filled with violence. " 23:25 Can I say with authority, 23:27 "Our world has caught up with the generation of Noah's day. " 23:33 As Steve Dennis said, 23:35 "We experience pain and shock until the next event. " 23:40 Our world is like the world of Noah's day. 23:43 The question is... what kind of world was it? 23:46 Genesis 6 and verse 5 tells us unequivocally 23:49 what kind of world it was. 23:50 The Bible says, "Then the Lord saw 23:54 that the wickedness of man was great in the earth... " 23:57 and it's the same today. 23:59 "and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart 24:04 was only evil continually. " 24:07 Evil continually... 24:09 well, if you pause and think about the purpose behind 24:12 a lot of this burgeoning technology, 24:14 it is to make our minds and our thoughts evil continually. 24:18 Media is chasing us 24:21 trying to trap us in the corner of unending entertainment. 24:25 Trying to trap us on the moving escalator 24:29 of unending pipeline entertainment. 24:34 The world is saying, "Watch and continue to watch. " 24:37 The Social Media Pipelines are saying, 24:40 "Pay attention to me... " 24:41 It is in this hour that Jesus is saying, 24:43 "Put that down and turn your eyes upon my promises. " 24:47 Like in the book, Christian Service, 24:50 page 29 and paragraph 4, 24:54 it says, "We are living in an evil age. 24:58 The perils of the last days thicken around us. 25:02 Because iniquity abounds... " 25:04 and the love of many wax cold. 25:08 Today, people have lost natural affection. 25:11 Today, people will take a life without even thinking twice. 25:15 I heard a recent story about a man 25:17 who in the course of working on projects... 25:20 building people's homes... 25:22 someone broke into his office... took his life... 25:24 killed everyone in his office 25:26 without the thought... unnatural affection... 25:30 the world is filled with violence 25:32 and violence sells. 25:34 Movie makers... when they think about 25:36 how to make their movie more violent, 25:37 they attach their subjects to machines 25:40 and they gauge their responses, their nerve responses... 25:43 their brain responses 25:44 and they make Version 1 and Version 2 25:47 and they want Version 2 to be more powerful 25:49 and more evil than Version 1 25:51 and Version 3 more powerful and evil than Version 2, 25:54 and we get the first and the second 25:56 and the third and the fourth iteration 25:57 because they're trying to sap 25:59 the natural energies of the human heart 26:02 and to try to make our thoughts evil continually. 26:05 The Apostle Paul joined in the description 26:10 of the days in which we live. 26:12 He says in 2nd Timothy chapter 3 verses 1 to 5, 26:16 what a day... what a world he describes, 26:18 he says, "This know also that in the last days 26:23 perilous times shall come... " 26:26 Friends, let me tell you... perilous times have come. 26:28 No one saw the pandemic coming. 26:33 No one understood its magnitude 26:37 until millions of lives passed off into eternity. 26:41 It's not done yet... but the best is yet to come... 26:45 not just the worst. 26:47 Paul says through Timothy, 26:49 in 2nd Timothy 3 verses 1 to 5, 26:51 "This know also that in the last days 26:54 perilous times shall come. " 26:55 Why? 26:57 Verse 2, "For men shall be lovers of their own selves... " 27:01 let's not spend a whole lot of time on that. 27:03 Just look at the movie... just look at the actors... 27:06 look at those people praising themselves 27:08 boasting about their wealth and their stand in life 27:11 and the fans that surround them 27:13 and their millions of followers on Instagram... 27:16 lovers of themselves 27:18 pasting photos day in and day out of themselves, 27:21 looking for human adoration 27:22 while the only one worthy of adoration 27:25 is the spotless Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. 27:28 He goes on to say, 27:29 "For men shall be lovers of their own selves... 27:31 covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers... " 27:37 then he says, what about the children? 27:40 "disobedient to parents... 27:42 unthankful, unholy... " 27:45 What about the human heart? 27:47 Verse 3... "without natural affection... 27:50 truce breakers... " they can't even keep a promise. 27:53 False accusers... making up lies on other people, 27:56 incontinent... they are out of their minds... 27:59 fierce... they don't like people that are righteous. 28:02 Despisers of those that are good. 28:05 Can you imagine somebody hating you 28:07 because you are living a good life? 28:09 Well, the Bible says... we have arrived at those days. 28:11 But... but but Paul did not finish, 28:14 he continues to grapple the mind of his young protégé 28:17 named Timothy as he unfolds the description 28:20 that holds Timothy in a permanent stand 28:22 when he says in verse 4 of 2nd Timothy chapter 3, 28:25 "traitors, heady, high-minded, 28:28 lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God... " 28:31 and then he says... here's the reason why, 28:32 "Having a form of godliness... " 28:35 that's the religion today. 28:37 They want to sing it but not live it... 28:39 they want to raise their hands but lower their standards... 28:42 they want to say, "I love you Lord... " 28:43 but not enough to keep His commandments... 28:44 having a form of godliness... 28:46 they say, "Remember to worship God... " 28:48 but forget the Sabbath. 28:49 When the Bible says, "Remember the Sabbath... " 28:51 how can somebody claiming to be connected to Christ 28:53 say, "Forget the Sabbath. " 28:55 "Having a form of godliness... " the Bible says, 28:58 "but denying the power thereof. " 29:01 And Paul says, "from such... turn away. " 29:05 You see Friends, I've discovered that the only assurance we have 29:09 is the unwavering faith in the Word of God. 29:14 The unwavering faith in the promises of Jesus, 29:18 the unwavering faith that what Jesus said 29:22 is not only coming to pass 29:24 but it's telling us of the introduction soon... 29:28 the introduction of the unending event of the ages 29:33 which takes me to the Second Sign: 29:35 The evidence of the coming of Jesus is shocking. 29:38 We live in a day 29:39 where the distortion of God's highest creation 29:42 is taking place before our eyes. 29:44 Listen to Dr. Luke... 29:46 in Luke chapter 17 verses 28 and 29 29:49 he writes these shocking words, 29:51 He says, "Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: 29:55 They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, 30:00 they planted, they built; 30:02 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom 30:06 it rained fire and brimstone from heaven 30:09 and destroyed them all. " 30:11 What is he saying? 30:12 He is saying... the human heart has been immoral 30:16 since the fall of man 30:19 and is only becoming more immoral 30:22 because we live in a world today 30:23 and I can't believe I'm going to say this, 30:25 we live in a world today that exalts sexual depravity. 30:30 We live in a world today when men and women will do things 30:33 that even dogs wouldn't do. 30:35 But this is not a surprise to God. 30:37 He said it was going to get like the days of Noah. 30:39 It's going to get like the days of Lot. 30:41 One of the signs that we're living in the time of the end is 30:43 modern society applauds things that is a reproach 30:48 in the eyes of a righteous God. 30:50 That's why the Bible says, 30:51 "Things that are esteemed among men 30:54 are a reproach to God... " 30:56 but no surprise because Luke 17 verse 30 says, 30:59 "Even so it will be 31:01 in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. " 31:04 I like to read articles 31:07 but the one that really shook my core 31:09 was when I read this article about how people are forgetting 31:14 who God created them to be. 31:16 You see Friends, we live in a time 31:18 where people are no longer clear about their gender. 31:22 I said the word "Gender. " 31:24 Can you imagine? 31:26 According to a 2014 Survey, there are 57 genders. 31:32 Soak that in for a little bit... 31:35 57 Genders... 31:37 I thought that God made male and female 31:39 but modern society is saying, 31:41 "No, no, no... there are 57 genders. " 31:43 So, what they're saying is, 31:45 "When God made man and woman, He wasn't done... 31:48 we have to improve on God's creation. " 31:50 So, what God did fell short of modern standards. 31:54 But if you think that shakes your core, 31:57 I read another article from Teentalk. ca 32:00 it is a Canadian publication 32:03 and learned that the article titled: Gender Identity 32:07 listed that there are not 57 genders 32:10 but they say there are 72 genders. 32:13 Huh, take a breath, I'm not done yet. 32:17 I... I... I stood back until I read: thetimes. co. uk 32:23 Sunday September 8, 2019 in the Sunday Times 32:28 and listen to this quote, 32:30 "The BBC has told teachers 32:34 who work with children ages 9 to 12 32:37 that there are... " and I quote... 32:40 "100 if not more gender identities. " 32:45 You heard me correct. 32:47 That's the kind of world we've become. 32:49 A world that's unsure about its identity. 32:52 Satan has so confused the minds of simple man 32:57 that they cannot even decide 32:59 that I'm either a male or a female. 33:02 There are no 100 identities... there are no 100 genders... 33:06 God made Adam and God made Eve 33:09 and when God made man and woman, 33:11 He saw everything that He had done 33:13 and indeed it was very good 33:15 but Satan has done a job on our world 33:18 and this statistic wouldn't be shocking... 33:23 what's even more shocking is that people accept it 33:27 and are beginning to order their lives 33:29 in harmony with this kind of confusion. 33:33 The Apostle Paul describes God's response to such foolishness. 33:38 I couldn't even find another word. 33:40 Romans 1 verses 26 and 27 says the following, 33:44 "For this reason... 33:45 for this reason God gave them up to vile passions. 33:50 For even their women exchanged the natural use 33:53 for what is against nature. " 33:55 Verse 27 of Romans 1, 33:57 "Likewise also the men, 33:59 leaving the natural use of the woman, 34:02 burned in their lust for one another, 34:06 men with men committing what is shameful, 34:10 and receiving in themselves 34:12 the penalty of their error which was due. " 34:16 Friends, men, and women celebrating carnality. 34:20 Men and women doing things as I said earlier 34:23 that animals wouldn't even do 34:26 and I've discovered something else. 34:29 This term Gender Dysphoria reveals that in a survey 34:33 children admitted... pre-teens admitted 34:37 that by the time they face puberty... 34:39 listen to this... 34:41 they are desiring to change their gender. 34:45 That's what's happening when you spend hours on Social Media. 34:48 That's what's happening when you spend more time on Facebook 34:52 than reading the book of God. 34:53 That's what's happening when you are tweeting... 34:55 that's what's happening when you are Twittering 34:57 or Tik Toking... you don't know which side to stand on. 34:59 That's what's happening 35:01 when your mind is being molded by corrupt men... 35:03 you don't even know who you are. 35:05 They're saying... by the time they hit puberty, 35:07 they want to be somebody else. 35:09 They don't want to be what God created them to be 35:12 and I've also even heard that in some States, 35:14 when a baby is born, 35:15 they're not even putting the identity. 35:17 They're allowing the child 35:18 to determine when they get older what their identity is. 35:21 Lord have mercy! 35:23 This Friends, is an extreme departure 35:26 from the way that God created male and female. 35:30 Genesis 1 and verse 27 says, 35:32 "So God created man in His own image; 35:35 in the image of God He created him; 35:38 male and female He created them. " 35:40 Which takes me now to Sign Number 3: 35:43 The evidence that the coming of Jesus is near 35:46 is disturbing. 35:48 Darkness is preferred above light. 35:51 We are living in a generation 35:52 that you can't even convince Christians... 35:55 you heard me right... 35:56 I've met Christians 35:58 that who don't even want to hear what the Word of God says. 36:00 They prefer darkness rather than light 36:02 and Jesus diagnoses that condition. 36:07 In John chapter 3 and verse 19 Jesus said, 36:10 "And this is the condemnation, 36:12 that light has come into the world, 36:14 and men loved darkness rather than light... " 36:17 why? 36:18 "because their deeds were evil. " 36:20 Let me make a point... 36:21 when as a preacher, 36:23 you're more concerned about the size of your mansion 36:25 rather than the direction of your... 36:27 your congregation's destiny... 36:29 when you're more concerned about how you fly 36:32 rather than whether or not they are willing to ascend 36:34 when Jesus comes... 36:36 when you're more concerned about your bank account balance 36:38 than the Word of God, you can preach anything 36:41 because your belly is your god... 36:44 your money is your god... 36:45 but Jesus is saying, my Brother and Sister, 36:47 "Do not get caught by a person that looks the part. " 36:51 We have to maintain and create a diet 36:55 for nothing but the unerring Word of God 36:57 because we're living in a day 36:59 when men love darkness rather than light 37:02 and how did it get this way? 37:04 You see, for more than 6,000 years, 37:06 Satan has been orchestrating darkness 37:09 because Satan's plan 37:10 is to get our eyes to adjust to the darkness. 37:14 That's why Isaiah 60 and verse 2 says this 37:17 about the world we live in, 37:19 the prophet says, 37:20 "For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth... " 37:23 and Friends, all you've got to do 37:25 is look and you'll see it. 37:27 But he didn't stop there, 37:28 "and gross darkness the people; 37:30 but the Lord shall arise upon thee, 37:34 and His glory shall be seen upon Thee. " 37:37 This is the generation, Son and Daughter of God, 37:40 when you've got to let your light shine. 37:42 Don't hide your light under a bushel... 37:44 now, don't burn folk with it 37:46 but live a life that is so in harmony with God's Word 37:49 that men will look at you and say, 37:51 "There's something different about that young man... 37:53 there's something different about that young lady... 37:55 there's something different about that husband and wife... 37:58 they are living a life 37:59 that is quite out of harmony with the world. " 38:02 All you got to do today to be weird 38:04 is not have a tattoo. 38:05 All you've got to do today to be unusual 38:08 is not have multiple holes in your body 38:10 and holes hanging from different places, 38:13 all you've got to do is be satisfied 38:15 with the way that God created you. 38:18 What a generation! 38:19 God wants us to adjust to the light... 38:21 Satan says, "Get used to the darkness. " 38:24 You see... God's... God wants His children 38:27 to be children of light in a generation of darkness. 38:31 What kind of generation are we living in? 38:34 There's an unquenchable thirst for technology 38:37 resulting in intellectual stagnation. 38:40 People are so much locked into their devices 38:43 that they can't think for themselves anymore. 38:45 Millennials are socially saturated 38:48 and relationally disconnected. 38:50 Can't even have a conversation with somebody in the same room, 38:53 they got to text each other and they just feed away... 38:55 what kind of dysfunction is that? 38:56 Wi Fi has finally accomplished its purpose 39:00 because we are no longer connected. 39:02 Think about that for a moment. 39:04 Receiving a text used to mean somebody gave you a Bible verse 39:08 but it means something different today 39:10 and searching on the Internet has replaced 39:13 searching the Word of God 39:15 and seeking a relationship with the Lord. 39:17 That's why Isaiah the Prophet yells 39:20 from the portals of righteousness. 39:22 He says in Isaiah 55 and verse 6, 39:24 "Seek the Lord while He may be found... " 39:26 the day is coming that He will not be found... 39:28 "call upon Him while He is near. " 39:32 That's what God is saying for us to do in these last days. 39:36 God is saying... it's time to call... 39:38 I'm calling... 39:39 it's time to look for Me because the day is coming 39:42 when I will not be able to be found. 39:44 The day is coming when the presence of Christ 39:46 will be the deepest desire of sinful man 39:50 and Jesus would have ended His mediatorial work 39:55 and there will be no longer mercy 39:57 for the guilty inhabitants of the earth. 39:59 Why wait? 40:01 Why wait when the greatest opportunity to be saved 40:03 is right before you? 40:05 Why wait? 40:06 What can you possibly trade for eternity? 40:09 70 years... 90 years... 40:11 maybe 105... 40:13 and if you're one of the few maybe the minus minus 1 percent, 40:16 maybe a 110... 40:18 that's off the scale in modern society... 40:21 why trade a temporary life 40:24 when Jesus wants to give us unending eternity? 40:27 Why grapple with the world 40:30 when the Lord says, "The best is yet to come. " 40:33 Why fight over this tiny little ball called earth 40:36 when there is an untold... unexplored universe 40:39 that Jesus who gave His life is longing to give to His children? 40:44 Friends, which brings me to Sign Number 4: 40:47 The evidence is not all bad 40:49 there is some reassuring evidence 40:52 because darkness will not have the final say. 40:56 The final say will be based on the Word of God. 40:59 You see, there are bad things happening 41:01 but not everything is bad... 41:02 the gospel is still being preached... 41:04 people are still being saved... 41:05 people are still being rescued from the chains of darkness. 41:08 Men and women are coming out of the graves 41:11 of the... the chains of this society 41:13 and putting on the righteousness of Jesus. 41:16 In this day and age, drug abusers are still being rescued. 41:20 People that lived in darkness and coming to light. 41:22 It's not all bad and here's the good news, 41:25 Matthew 24 and verse 14... 41:27 I praised God when I found this text 41:29 because God took me from my world 41:32 and gave me a mission to join in the clarion call 41:35 that Jesus is coming again. 41:37 Matthew 24 and verse 14, 41:39 the Bible says, 41:41 "This gospel of the kingdom 41:44 will be preached in all the world 41:46 as a witness to all nations, 41:48 and then the end will come. " 41:50 Friends, I'm passionate today 41:52 because I'm telling you the end is coming. 41:53 It's coming quicker than you believe 41:56 and I'm telling you today on the clarity 41:59 and the authenticity and the assurance of God's word. 42:02 Open your eyes... 42:04 don't be as Steve Dennis described, 42:06 "They don't want to see it... 42:07 nobody saw it coming. " 42:09 Friends, open your eyes it's coming. 42:11 The good news is the proclamation of the gospel 42:14 is the start of good things... 42:16 it's not all bad. 42:18 The preaching of the gospel opened doors that were shut 42:20 and breaks those chains that once bound 42:23 those who were helpless. 42:25 God is working... heaven is busy... 42:28 the angels are hastening back and forth. 42:30 They are finishing the work and one day 42:33 one of the angels is going to say, "It is done... 42:35 I am finally finished... 42:36 Father, the work You have given me to do... 42:38 I have completed it... " 42:40 and Jesus will stand back. 42:43 Why wait till that day? 42:44 Why wait till the day when Jesus takes off His robe of ministry 42:49 and puts on His robe of military? 42:52 Why wait till the day when Jesus stops pleading 42:55 and gets ready for the final battle of the ages? 42:58 You see Friends, when the gospel is preached, 43:01 people will turn away from darkness 43:03 toward God's marvelous light. 43:05 I've stood and preached... 43:06 I've seen people that have been bound in darkness for decades 43:10 hear the truth of God's Word and say, 43:12 "I no longer want to be in darkness, 43:14 I'm going to accept the Sabbath. 43:16 God says, 'Remember' and I choose no longer to forget. " 43:19 When the gospel is preached 43:21 those bound in sin 43:22 will be rescued from a lifetime of bondage. 43:25 I heard a story about a man who all his life... 43:28 he said for 50, 60, 70 years he ignored the voice of God 43:33 but when the COVID hit, 43:35 he said... 2021 was the best year of his life. 43:39 Yes, I spoke on the phone with him 43:41 and I heard the tears in his voice. 43:42 He said, "It took a crumbling world 43:45 to remind me that no man on this planet 43:49 has the answers for my life. " 43:51 He says, "If they can't solve the COVID crisis, 43:53 how can they solve the longing of my soul? 43:56 I want to be saved. " 43:57 And late in life, God gave him a second chance 44:01 and I tell you today, when we get together on Zoom 44:03 from week to week, 44:04 he still proclaims the goodness of God... 44:06 the joy that he once denied, he now has recaptured. 44:10 Friends, don't wait until it's too late. 44:12 Those that are in darkness... 44:14 when the gospel is preached, 44:16 truth long hidden will be overridden. 44:19 Truth long hidden will once again be revealed 44:22 and the darkness of tradition and fables 44:26 will be replaced with the certainty of the Word of God. 44:29 See, John chapter 4 verse 23 tells us this way, 44:32 John chapter 4:23 tells us 44:35 what kind people Jesus is looking for. 44:38 He says in John 4 and verse 23, 44:40 "But the hour is coming, 44:42 and now is, 44:44 when the true worshiper... " 44:46 do you want to be a true worshiper 44:47 or are you just settled in the feeling of worship 44:51 in the community outreach, are you just settled? 44:55 Do you want to just sing the songs 44:56 and not live the life? 44:57 Do you want to feel worship 44:59 or do you want to live a life of worship? 45:01 He said, "The hour is coming, and now is, 45:03 when the true worshiper 45:05 will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; 45:09 for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. " 45:11 Verse 24 of John chapter 4, 45:14 He says, "God is Spirit, 45:16 and those who worship Him 45:18 must worship in spirit and in truth. " 45:22 Friends, Satan has created a substitute for everything 45:27 but I want to tell you, when the gospel is preached, 45:29 the light is going to come back on 45:31 and it's going to be brighter than it has ever been before. 45:34 How do you know? 45:36 Because God is turning on the light this time. 45:38 God is not leaving the last stages 45:41 to the hands of men 45:42 because Satan has created a substitute... 45:44 for the Sabbath he created Sunday... 45:47 for the Second Coming, he created the Secret Rapture. 45:49 For death being the end of life as Scripture teaches, 45:53 Satan has taught... it is an alternate route to heaven. 45:56 The Bible says, "Only the righteous will be in heaven... " 46:00 but Satan says, "Everybody dies and goes to heaven 46:02 no matter how they live. " 46:04 The Bible says, destruction and hell is final... 46:07 but Satan says... it's going to be eternal torment. 46:10 The Bible says... there's going to be a resurrection 46:12 at the second coming of Jesus 46:14 but Satan says, "You don't need a resurrection, 46:16 just die and go to heaven right away. " 46:17 The Bible says... sin is sin 46:19 but Satan calls it an alternate lifestyle. 46:22 And the Bible gave Adam to Eve 46:24 and I say this with great respect, 46:26 "God did not give Adam to Steve... " 46:29 let's get back to the reality of God's Word. 46:31 Immortality will one day replace permanently immorality, 46:36 praise God for that. 46:38 How do I know we're living in the end? 46:39 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 and verse 3, the Bible says to us, 46:42 "Let no one deceive you by any means; 46:46 for that Day will not come 46:48 unless the falling away comes first... " 46:51 we are living in the "falling away. " 46:53 And then he says, 46:55 "the man of sin is revealed, 46:56 the son of perdition. " 46:58 Today, sinful men are being revealed... 47:01 today, the man of sin... 47:03 the System of the Antichrist is being revealed 47:05 and one day, Satan himself will personate Christ 47:09 attempting the final stages 47:11 to seduce the hearts of men to turn away from Jesus 47:14 but I want to tell you something, 47:16 Jesus will have the last word. 47:17 Entire Denominations today 47:19 are built on Satanic foundations of error 47:22 but in all that darkness, 47:24 there is still a beacon of light. 47:26 In all that darkness, 47:27 there is still a rock that will not roll... 47:30 the Word of God that stands fast forever and ever 47:33 and why is the preaching of the gospel so necessary 47:37 in these closing hours? 47:38 Here's the words of the heart of a loving Lord, 47:41 in John 10 and verse 16, He says, 47:43 "And other sheep I have 47:45 which are not of this fold; 47:46 them also I must bring, 47:49 and they will hear My voice; 47:50 and there will be one flock 47:53 and there will be one shepherd. " 47:54 Praise the Lord, 47:56 my Brother and my Sister, today, you can rejoice 47:58 in the reality that wherever you may be, 48:01 if it is not where Jesus wants you to be, 48:04 He's calling you. 48:05 Today, listen to the voice of the Life-giver. 48:08 Listen to the voice of the Chief Shepherd, He's saying, 48:11 "Don't be content to stay where you are comfortable... 48:14 don't be comfortable until you are where God wants you to be. 48:18 Which brings me to my Final Sign: 48:21 The promised delayed will soon be the promised delivered. 48:25 Oh Friends, the promised delayed 48:27 will soon be the promise delivered. 48:30 The Prophet... the Minor Prophet Habakkuk said it this way 48:33 in Habakkuk 2 and verse 3, 48:35 "For the vision is yet for an appointed time; 48:39 but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. 48:41 Though it tarries... " he says, "wait for it... " 48:45 Generation 2021... wait for it... 48:48 last-day Christians wait for it... 48:50 don't give up and here's why... 48:52 "Because... " he says, "it will surely come, 48:55 it will not tarry. " 48:56 Can I say it this way? 48:58 Delayed gratification is more of a blessing 49:02 than instant disappointment. 49:04 Delayed gratification is more powerful 49:07 than instant disappointment. 49:08 Millions are settling for less... can I testify? 49:13 But I'm holding out for the best. 49:15 You see, Steven Dennis talked about the bad news, 49:18 but I'm going to end with the good news. 49:20 John 14 verse 3... 49:22 the Bible says the words of Jesus, 49:24 He says, "and if I go and prepare a place for you, 49:28 I will come again and receive you to Myself; 49:33 that where I am, there ye may be also. " 49:36 Friends, Jesus is coming again. 49:39 Lift up the trumpets and loud let it ring 49:41 from the pulpits of your churches. 49:43 Lift it up from Sabbath to Sabbath 49:45 and tell those dying in sin that Jesus is coming again. 49:48 Tell those who are ready to walk away from life, 49:51 "Hold on... it's soon going to be over... 49:54 Jesus is coming again... 49:55 the day is fast approaching. " 49:57 When remorse and rejoicing will merge at the same intersection, 50:03 what a day that's going to be 50:05 when remorse and rejoicing merge at the same intersection! 50:10 Why? 50:12 Because the world is terrible but the best is yet to come! 50:16 What do I mean by remorse and rejoicing 50:18 merging at the same intersection? 50:20 You see Friends, on one hand 50:22 the regret of missing out on the glorious return of the ages... 50:26 but on the other hand, 50:27 the realization that the promises of Jesus are true. 50:30 When I was a young man, 50:32 growing up in the streets of New York City... 50:35 when I was a young man fighting the fight of the world... 50:38 when I was a young man, 50:40 my back was turned on the promises of God 50:42 and I could not understand 50:44 why I couldn't find peace in Christ 50:46 until one day the Lord knocked on my door and said, 50:49 "Young man, I love you so much, 50:51 I'm not going to let you die in your sin. 50:53 I'm not going to waste your life away 50:56 in a senseless society that could never satisfy... 51:00 I'm going to call you 51:02 and God called this abandoned young baby 51:05 to a life of ministry. 51:07 God called this meandering mediocre young man 51:11 to a place where I can now proclaim with assurance 51:14 that Jesus is coming again. 51:16 So, the day is coming... 51:17 all that I've said and preached throughout the years... 51:19 the day is coming 51:21 that rejoicing and regret will merge at the same intersection. 51:26 Why? 51:27 On one hand, there will be those missing out 51:30 on the glorious appearing of Jesus 51:32 but on the right hand, 51:33 there will be those realizing 51:34 that the promises of Jesus are true. 51:36 On one side, those running to the rocks and the mountains 51:39 to hide, 51:40 but on the other side, 51:41 those running from the rocks and the mountains to rejoice. 51:44 Friends, if I live long enough to see that day, 51:47 I tell you, I'm going to be one of those 51:50 running from the rocks. 51:51 I'm going to be one of those looking up and saying, 51:54 "You didn't believe it... but here it is... 51:56 evidence no longer able to be denied 51:58 when the eastern sky parts... 52:02 my Savior comes... 52:03 I'm going to be standing there 52:06 waiting to welcome Him. 52:08 When the eastern sky breaks 52:10 and the graves rumble 52:12 and the saints come forth from their dusty beds, 52:16 I want to be there to welcome my Lord, 52:18 it's no longer going to be about church... 52:20 I'm going to say, "This is my God, 52:22 I've looked forward to Him. " 52:23 I'm not going to be running to the rocks and the mountains 52:25 to hide, 52:27 I'm going to be standing there singing the song of Moses 52:30 and of the Lamb. 52:31 I'm going to be shouting with clear voice, 52:34 "I've been looking forward to this day... 52:36 I've been waiting for this day... 52:37 I've been praying for this day. " 52:39 You see Friends, our Lord is soon to come. 52:43 The joy and rejoicing from being prepared 52:47 for the best event in history will be realized in the extreme 52:51 and yet on that day, I'll be able to say, 52:54 "Mine eyes have finally seen the glory 52:58 of the coming of the Lord, 53:00 and I want to tell you, what the Apostle Paul says, 53:02 he tried to imagine it but he said, 53:04 "Eye hath not seen and ear hath not heard... " 53:07 He tried to see it but he said, 53:08 "it hasn't even entered into the hearts of men 53:11 the things that God prepared for those that love Him... " 53:15 and when Jesus lifts the curtain... 53:18 when Jesus lifts the curtain... 53:22 where are you going to be? 53:23 My Brother... my Sister, 53:25 it's too late to walk away... 53:27 put those plans back in the drawer, 53:30 it's too late to walk away from this everlasting gospel. 53:33 It is too late to turn your back on the Remnant Movement. 53:36 It is too late to say that it doesn't pay 53:39 to stand firm on the Sabbath. 53:40 It is too late to say 53:42 that this gospel has not brought me satisfaction. 53:44 Let me tell you something, the everlasting gospel 53:47 is not intended to bring you worldly satisfaction, 53:50 it is intended to bring you everlasting joy. 53:53 Hold on my Brother... hold on my Sister... 53:56 human inventions will fail 53:58 when compared to the majestic glory revealed from the heavens. 54:01 God is going to say, "This is my day... " 54:05 He's going to send His angels to gather His elect 54:08 from one end of the earth and to the other 54:11 and like a reed shaken in the wind, 54:13 the earth will shake at the voice of the Life-giver. 54:17 Those long separated by death 54:20 will be reunited on that day. 54:22 What a day of reunion that's going to be! 54:25 What a day it's going to be... 54:27 the children of God out of every nation 54:30 will finally be reunited. 54:32 No class distinction... 54:33 no race distinction... 54:35 no financial separation... 54:36 we will all finally be one in Christ. 54:39 On that day, one will be able to say, 54:43 "I didn't see this coming. " 54:44 You know why? 54:46 Because it's going to be more majestic 54:48 than we can ever imagine. 54:49 The glory of God will wrap the earth in splendor 54:54 that's indescribable 54:55 and to the uttermost parts of the universe, 54:57 the voice of the redeemed will proclaim, 55:01 "It is finished... 55:02 the battle is over... it is finished! 55:04 And Jesus is Lord. 55:07 What a glorious day that's going to be. 55:08 Friends, let me say it again, 55:10 "Our Lord is soon to come... " 55:12 Our soon-coming King 55:14 is the hope on which we establish our future 55:17 and our day. 55:19 Steve Dennis diagnosed it very well... so I end, 55:22 my Brethren, don't ignore the facts. 55:25 Don't close your eyes 55:27 to the Scriptural reality of the promises of God. 55:30 You can trust God's Word. 55:32 It is reliable... 55:33 He said it... just hold on a little longer, my Friend. 55:37 Hold on a little longer 55:39 and you will see the promise that Christ has made 55:42 become reality before your mortal eyes. 55:45 Do not be afraid to embrace the promises of Jesus. 55:48 Do not lose hope thinking that Jesus has somehow forgotten you. 55:55 Don't put your decision 55:57 to join the fellowship of the unashamed off another day. 56:01 Hold on my Brother and my Sister. 56:04 We have a joy to proclaim... 56:07 we have a hope to embrace 56:09 and there is a mansion somewhere 56:11 and there are some keys for my wife and me 56:14 to walk into our mansions together. 56:15 Hold on husband and wife. 56:17 Hold on young man and young woman. 56:20 God has not made fable promises... 56:23 those promises are unending... they are reliable. 56:26 Hold on Pastor, keep preaching... 56:28 ignite the pulpit that your members 56:31 and their hope will be reignited 56:32 because the day is coming 56:34 when the joyous and the hopeful will be able to proclaim 56:38 the words of Isaiah the Prophet 56:40 when he said in Isaiah 25 and verse 9, 56:43 "And it will be said, in that day: 56:45 "Behold, this is our God; 56:48 we have waited for Him, and He will save us. 56:51 This is the Lord; we have waited for Him; 56:55 we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. " 56:59 My Brethren, 57:00 our King is coming again. 57:03 Music... 57:06 His body was broken... so that we could live 57:10 giving us the gift of eternal life. 57:13 He pursues us relentlessly with an everlasting love. 57:19 Regardless of our failures and mistakes, 57:23 the One that loves us like no other... 57:27 this is who Jesus is. |
