I love Sabbath School Panel. 01:05 Just get to, get in the Word of God to open up to study. 01:09 And I always enjoy hearing Pastor John 01:12 and what you have to share. 01:14 You have a wealth of experience and knowledge. 01:15 You've studied the Word of God for so many years, 01:17 and I can just sit back and study and learn 01:20 at the feet of Pastor John. 01:22 And I appreciate that. 01:23 But you have been universally labeled as the list lady, 01:24 wherever I go. 01:26 She has. 01:27 I'm going to download Jill's lists. 01:29 So praise God for your student and study of the Word. 01:31 She does have lists. 01:32 You know, when she actually prepares 01:33 for Sabbath School Panel, 01:35 she does have her lists in her outlines altogether, 01:36 but thank you for tuning in here today. 01:38 This is part of summer camp meeting 2021. 01:41 And it's incredible to me 01:42 how we can join you around the world. 01:44 We wish that you were here in house, but you know what? 01:46 We're thanking the Lord for technology. 01:49 COVID hasn't shut us down. 01:50 That's thanks to you, your prayers and financial support. 01:53 But, of course, the Lord Jesus Christ, 01:55 we've been able to stay on the air. 01:57 We're still able to bring you camp meeting 01:59 and you're still able to join us this day. 02:01 You're part of our family 02:03 and what incredible blessing it is. 02:05 Amen. I'm reminded of David, the Psalmist. 02:06 He says, this is the day that the Lord has made. 02:09 We will rejoice and be glad in it. 02:13 And today the divine worship power 02:14 we're going to hear from our very own Danny Shelton. 02:17 He's going to bring an incredible message, 02:19 expanding the kingdom, the great commission. 02:23 I think no one shares miracle stories like Danny Shelton. 02:27 And I love to hear what God has done, 02:30 what He is currently doing and what He will do, 02:33 not just in the Ministry of 3ABN, 02:35 but in your life at home as well. 02:38 So, I'm looking forward to the message. 02:39 Amen. 02:40 And before that, of course, we have a few miracle stories 02:42 we're sharing about what God is doing right now. 02:44 We've got some music today. 02:45 And then after the... Thank you. 03:40 Our loving Father in heaven, 03:42 camp meeting continues to be a blessing. 03:43 The encampment brings us closer to one another. 03:46 And, Lord, it's at times like this, that we can understand 03:49 how the wilderness experiences of those of old 03:52 have been such a blessing, 03:54 how God came down, how the presence of Jesus 03:57 was so felt by those who were able to tabernacle with Him. 04:02 Father, we desire the same as You blessed each speaker. 04:04 We pray a blessing again today on Danny, 04:07 as he imparts the Word. 04:08 Bless the message as well as the messenger 04:12 and may truly the kingdom of God be expanded. 04:14 We stand on holy ground, 04:16 which in fact continues to be a miracle. 04:19 But thank you for his faithfulness to the vision. 04:22 And we pray that those watching, 04:23 those listening, whatever the medium, 04:25 all the glory and honor will go only to You. 04:29 In Jesus' name I pray. 04:30 Amen. 04:32 Amen. 04:33 Well, let's go to opening song right now. 04:34 We want to invite you at home to join us. 04:36 And so why don't you stand? 04:37 This is opening song, right? Boy, I tell you. 06:35 We're blessed to have Brother Tim and, of course, 06:36 Pastor John, but Brother Tim Parton, thank you. 06:39 It's inspiring to hear him play. 06:41 And, boy, it makes me wish that I had taken piano lessons 06:44 as a child, but even if I had taken lessons, 06:45 I never would be at the caliber of Tim Parton. 06:48 I did take piano lessons, but it just makes me wish 06:50 for heaven because then I'll be greatly improved. 06:53 There you go. 06:55 But praise the Lord for music and thank you for joining us. 06:57 And if you're still standing at home, I'm sorry, 06:59 please be seated, right? 07:01 In church we always usually do that. 07:02 But what a blessing it is to be a part of your family. 07:05 Thank you for being a part of the 3ABN family. 07:07 What an incredible theme, who is Jesus. 07:10 You know, a lot of times we can say, who is Jesus to you, 07:13 but what is He to me personally? 07:15 And I want to just encourage you today, 07:18 know that you are worth something to Jesus Christ. 07:20 You're worth so much that He died for you. 07:23 And that's absolutely incredible. 07:25 I know in this world with this pandemic and COVID-19, 07:27 it seems like a lot of people become isolated. 07:30 They're in their own home. 07:31 They maybe not even going out to church. 07:33 You may be not even going into work. 07:35 You're working from home. 07:36 There's a lot of loneliness and sadness. 07:39 And you may think, man, I don't even know if even 07:41 someone even cares if I'm alive or dead, but you know what? 07:45 We care here at 3ABN. 07:47 And we know that Jesus Christ, of course, 07:49 loves you with an everlasting love. 07:51 And I'm so thankful that this world 07:54 is not our permanent home, right? 07:56 This whole world of sin is going to be wiped away soon. 07:58 We just have to be faithful to the very end 08:02 and we have some miracle stories to share with you. 08:04 And I know you've got a scripture you'd like to share 08:06 to this point. 08:08 I love the Book of Romans. 08:09 If you watch Sabbath School or listen to 3ABN at all, 08:12 you know, I love the Book of Romans. 08:14 This is found in Romans 1:16. 08:16 It says, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, 08:21 for it is the power of God, that word power dunamis, 08:25 miracle working power. 08:26 That's power that's not inherent in us, 08:29 but it's inherent from the Lord Jesus. 08:31 It is the power of God to salvation for everyone 08:35 who believes to the Jew first and also for the Greek. 08:38 This gospel message that has been proclaimed 08:42 throughout camp meeting our theme, 08:43 of course, who is Jesus? 08:46 Jesus is our everlasting Father, our everlasting God. 08:49 He is our High Priest. 08:52 He is our Intercessor. 08:55 He is our Redeemer. 08:57 He is our Savior and Friend, 09:00 and He wants to dwell in our hearts 09:01 and He is our soon coming King. 09:04 I'm so grateful for that. 09:05 That gospel messages, 09:07 it is the privilege of each one of us at 3ABN 09:10 and you joining hands with the Ministry of 3ABN, 09:15 partnering with us with your prayers and financial support. 09:19 You join hands and helping to take this gospel message 09:23 to a lost and dying world. 09:25 What an incredible privilege. 09:26 And we just want to share 09:28 some of the evangelistic opportunities 09:32 that we have right now at 3ABN 09:34 that we've never even had before 09:36 to help spread the gospel in brand new ways 09:40 to brand new markets in brand new avenues. 09:43 So, I'm excited. 09:44 Oh, me too, you know, this past year is, 09:47 this is just being honest with you, right? 09:48 We're just family here. 09:50 So, this past year, I'm in my role here at 3ABN 09:53 is relatively new for me. 09:56 And I just have to say, Mr. Danny 09:58 just off the wings here off the stage 09:59 getting ready to come up for the divine worship hour. 10:01 But this is tremendous respect for him. 10:03 He's like a dad to me. 10:05 And so, as I'm in this role, 10:06 what a blessing to have him right there. 10:08 So last year, right, just a little bit, 10:10 a little over a year ago, we heard about COVID-19 10:14 and I'm like, oh, no, what's going to happen to 3ABN. 10:17 You know, what's going to happen with the finances. 10:19 I know God's going to provide, I don't know exactly how, 10:22 and I just appreciate so much Mr. Danny's faith, 10:24 because this is very much a growing experience for me. 10:27 But I have to tell you time and time again, 10:30 when we're looking at, okay, this is what needs to go out. 10:32 The opportunities that God has for 3ABN to expand, 10:36 I don't know how it's going to happen, 10:38 but you know what the problem was? 10:39 I was talking about, I don't know 10:40 is how it's going to happen, but you know what? 10:42 It's not my problem. 10:43 It's God's problem, right? 10:45 And so, He was using each one of you to help 3ABN expand 10:48 just like you were getting ready to share with you. 10:50 And 3ABN has gone forward. 10:52 We haven't just sat in a rocking chair 10:54 and done this through the pandemic. 10:56 By God's grace, we have been moving forward and expanding, 11:00 and God has continued to provide for our needs. 11:04 And I just have to tell you, it's just been phenomenal 11:07 because Hebrews talks about, we walk by faith and not by sight. 11:10 We didn't know where the money was coming from. 11:12 God did. And He used you to help provide for our needs. 11:16 And we've been able to expand. 11:17 And I'll let you share with some of the first things 11:18 that come to mind. 11:20 One of them is Cuba, right? That comes to mind. 11:21 Absolutely, Cuba is an incredible expansion. 11:24 We've shared with you at home and you have stepped forward, 11:28 many of you, and stood with the Ministry of 3ABN. 11:31 We have the opportunity to be the first ever 11:36 Christian channel on the package. 11:38 Now you might say, what in the world is the package? 11:40 The package is a little USB or thumb drive 11:44 where the local Cubans all throughout the entire country 11:48 have access for their television programming. 11:51 You see there's only a couple of government run channels 11:53 and that's all they get. 11:55 So, their programming, their television programming 11:57 comes from the package. 11:59 And every week they can go to the street corner 12:01 and they can download the programming 12:03 for the next week. 12:04 And 3ABN is just launching 12:08 on the package in Cuba 3ABN Latinos. 12:11 So, 11 million Cubans throughout the entire country 12:14 will have access to 3ABN Latino, 12:18 this life-giving message. 12:20 What an incredible opportunity. 12:22 Another opportunity I think of you are referencing, COVID. 12:26 And during COVID we saw an exponential growth 12:30 in people who watched online. 12:32 People may be were home, working from home, 12:34 maybe laid off from their job. 12:36 They were watching online. 12:38 And 3ABN launched 3ABN Plus, 12:42 this is our newest on-demand platform. 12:44 You just go to our website at 3ABN 12:47 and you can watch all nine of our television networks 12:50 that's live streaming. 12:51 You can watch, listen to all five of our radio networks 12:55 or there's over 1500 hours of on-demand programming 13:00 from all of our different networks. 13:02 Now, this is just launching the apps on the phone app 13:07 on Roku, on Amazon Fire, on Verizon Fios. 13:10 So, no matter what avenue you watch 3ABN, 13:14 you will have access not only to all the live stream 13:16 of all our networks, but you also have access 13:19 to the on-demand programming. 13:20 And this is an incredible, praise the Lord. 13:22 It really is. 13:23 And it gives an opportunity for you at home 13:24 to also evangelize because it's shareable. 13:26 And shareable means you just click a couple of buttons 13:28 and you can actually pass along. 13:29 Let's say today's sermon or some of the other sermons 13:31 that you've heard here at camp meeting. 13:33 So, it's an incredible evangelistic tool. 13:35 Another area of expansion this past year was in Africa 13:38 and even the beginning part of this year, 2021. 13:41 And that's in Nigeria, 45 million homes in Nigeria, 13:46 which is incredible. 13:47 Did you say 45 million? 13:49 Yeah. I just kind of brushed across that quickly, didn't I? 13:51 That's a lot of people. 13:52 And you multiply those times how many people 13:54 are in the homes, that is phenomenal. 13:56 Also, Uganda, there's not enough time to share 13:59 the incredible miracle that happened there. 14:02 That tower was struck by lightning. 14:04 There was a lot of issues, 14:05 we're trying to get things built, 14:06 but then God has opened incredible doors. 14:08 And that is actually going to be expanding 14:10 outside of the capital of Kampala 14:11 and going to the entire country of Uganda. 14:14 And that's about 40 some million homes as well. 14:17 So, praise the Lord for the miracles 14:19 He's wrought there. 14:21 Another initiative I can think of this last year 14:23 is hard drives for prisons. 14:25 So, Moses Primo developed a system called 14:27 the Interless system. 14:29 Now this is 3ABN programming and some other ministries, 14:32 but mainly 3ABN programming, 14:36 thousands and thousands of hours. 14:38 You do not need an internet connection. 14:40 You do not need a satellite dish. 14:42 You do not need cable television 14:44 or any television at all. 14:46 All you need is this box. 14:47 And so, he developed this, which is incredible, 14:51 we're mailing it to the South Pacific Islands. 14:54 This is obviously 3ABN Australia. 14:57 Because there are down under, 14:58 and they are taking this Interless System, 15:00 especially to Papua New Guinea and other of those 15:02 island places where they don't have internet access 15:06 or they might not have access to 3ABN. 15:08 But now through the Interless Box, 15:10 they will have days and days and years and years 15:15 of access to 3ABN programming 15:18 before they even get a rerun. 15:19 So, praise the Lord for that. 15:21 But the same box, the Interless Box, 15:23 we're are using for hard drives for prisons. 15:26 This means many prisoners who might not otherwise have access 15:30 to listen to 3ABN, to watch 3ABN. 15:33 They can watch 3ABN now through this hard drive system. 15:38 So, we've been fundraising for that. 15:40 And we have money for several hundred of these boxes. 15:44 We do. They're going into the prisons. 15:46 So, you think about one prison, 15:47 that represents a lot of inmates there. 15:48 So, this is phenomenal. 15:50 And then we know the inmates would probably be telling 15:51 their family members, you know what? 15:53 There's something called 3ABN. 15:55 Why don't you find that and see if you can find it? 15:56 So, we know that's going to grow and grow. 15:58 And these projects that we're mentioning to you too, 16:01 we will be sharing with you testimonies, 16:02 because we have some that are already coming in, 16:04 but like from the prisons as those get launched 16:06 in the prisons. 16:07 We're talking about the other countries like Africa, Cuba, 16:10 testimonies will be coming in 16:11 and we want to share those with you 16:13 because right, as you support this ministry 16:14 and these projects, it's always nice to know, wow, 16:17 listen to the testimonies and stories that are coming in. 16:20 So, we just want to give you an opportunity at home 16:22 to partner with the Ministry of 3ABN 16:25 and any one of these evangelistic opportunities 16:29 you might say, yes, I want to help the work 16:31 go forward in Cuba or yes, I want to help the work 16:34 go forward in Uganda or in Ghana 16:38 or Nigeria or the hard drives for prison 16:41 or maybe you want to partner with us 16:43 in the newest evangelistic opportunity we have. 16:46 And that is the Focus on Truth project. 16:49 We talked about this a couple of nights here 16:51 during camp meeting, but this is an incredible opportunity. 16:54 Danny Shelton has written three brand new little books. 16:58 One is the Focus on Truth on Salvation. 17:01 How am I saved? 17:02 The next one is the Focus on Truth 17:04 on the Ten Commandments. 17:06 Are the Ten Commandments still binding? 17:08 And what about that fourth commandment? 17:10 The next one is the Focus on Truth on Hell Fire. 17:14 What happens when we die? 17:15 And is there any eternally burning hell? 17:18 So, you have an opportunity to evangelistically partner 17:21 with the Ministry of 3ABN, 17:23 and either sending these booklets, 17:26 three of these booklets to zip code mailings 17:29 in your community, in your area, 17:31 or you can order these booklets by the case 17:34 and you can pass them out yourself. 17:36 So, either way is an incredible opportunity. 17:39 So that information is on our website. 17:42 Yeah, Sure is. 17:43 And talking about the little booklets Focus on Truth, 17:45 this exciting series, I mean, it's amazing. 17:47 And what's incredible to me 17:48 is that they're all three of these booklets 17:50 are being zip code mailed in a beautiful envelope. 17:53 That's going to make someone, they see the envelope, 17:54 oh, wow, what's inside, open it up. 17:56 And there'll be those three truths filled books. 17:58 Each one 148 pages. 18:01 I mean, this is a lot of great information, 18:03 but packed into a small little booklet. 18:05 We're very excited about this project, 18:07 but we do want to say thank you for last year. 18:09 You all jumped on board with evangelism. 18:11 As Mr. Danny says, you all are movers and shakers. 18:14 And so, in the midst of COVID-19 by God's grace 18:17 and because of you were able to send out 18:19 over six and a half million 18:20 of the COVID booklets last year. 18:22 You know what? 18:23 This new project Focus on Truth, 18:25 by God's grace we're going to surpass that by millions. 18:28 Can I say that? Okay. 18:29 Amen. He's a man of wisdom. 20:11 He's a man of faith and I know we're going to be blessed 20:14 by what the Lord has through him to us today. 20:18 Mr. Danny. 20:21 Thank you, Greg and Jill. 20:25 Good morning to folks watching and listening around the world. 20:29 And what a privilege to be working for the Lord 20:32 in the closing moments of earth's history. 20:34 Such a privilege to work here at 3ABN, 20:36 with so many wonderful brothers and sisters 20:39 who love the Lord and joining hands with you 20:41 from around the world. 20:42 We want to thank you for your love and your prayers 20:45 and financial support of 3ABN as we endeavor 20:47 to take this great gospel of the kingdom 20:50 into all the world. 20:52 And one time someone told me this years ago, 20:55 they wrote me a letter and said, 20:57 when Jesus was hanging on the cross, 20:59 you were on His mind. 21:01 They said He could look down the stream of time 21:03 and see a people that would be willing 21:06 to give their lives unto death, if necessary. 21:09 And you're one of those. 21:10 Well, I want to tell you today, you're one of those, 21:12 Greg and Jill is one of those, Yvonne. 21:14 And I could go on through our whole list of all 21:16 of our folk here, but each and every one of us. 21:20 It's no accident that we're here 21:21 in the closing moments of earth's history. 21:24 Sister Shelley Quinn, 21:25 she usually puts out the titles for us too, 21:28 what we're going to talk about, whether we call it a sermon, 21:30 I call myself a talk rather than the sermon. 21:33 And, but when I talk, she usually gives the subjects 21:37 and this one is called Expanding the Kingdom. 21:40 Well, it kind of goes back to what I've been talking 21:43 about for many, many years. 21:46 And that's the go ye, 21:48 that's a great gospel commission 21:49 found in Matthew 28:18-20. 21:53 And so today, while we'll talk about that, 21:57 I'm going to share some miracle stories 21:59 because I don't know how to get up 22:01 and talk about God and talk about and encourage you 22:04 to reach out to a lost and dying world. 22:06 Unless you hear, maybe you've never been in ministry 22:11 and you need the encouragement. 22:12 So today I'm really here. 22:13 We're not talking about, look what we've done. 22:16 We're going to talk about, look what God has done 22:19 and what He wants to do in each and every one of our lives. 22:23 So based on that, I may sound a little bit like a rerun. 22:27 And it reminds me once of a story. 22:30 I heard about a preacher and the church 22:32 got a brand-new preacher. 22:33 They hadn't had one in a while. 22:35 They were so happy to have this new preacher, 22:37 young guy and the very first week 22:39 he preached a great sermon. 22:41 I mean, the people couldn't get over it. 22:44 During potluck they talked about it, 22:46 during the week they talked to each other, 22:48 man, we've got a great choice. 22:50 We had a great choice. 22:52 The conference actually sent him there. 22:54 They sent us a great pastor. 22:55 We love it. 22:57 The very next Sabbath. 22:58 They had invited people and a few more people came 23:01 and he preached the same sermon. 23:04 So, people looked around at each other 23:06 a little bit like, well, I wonder why he did that. 23:10 Okay. 23:11 So, well let's give him a break. 23:13 It's a new preacher. Maybe he forgot. 23:16 Third Sabbath. 23:18 Come to our church everybody. 23:19 We've got a new preacher. 23:20 This guy's really good. 23:22 He's really preaching. 23:24 Third week, guess what? 23:25 Same sermon. 23:27 Okay. Now things changed. 23:29 Now things changed because now all of a sudden, they call us. 23:32 So, we better get the board together. 23:34 We got to call the preacher in 23:35 and see what in the world is going on. 23:38 So, they called him in. 23:39 Pastor, you've preached three sermons for three weeks. 23:42 Yes. 23:44 Every one of them is the same. 23:46 Yes. 23:47 What sermon do you have for this coming week? 23:52 Not the same one. 23:53 Yes. 23:54 Why would you preach four sermons... 23:56 Is that the only sermon you have? 23:58 Oh, no, I've got lots of them. 24:00 Why don't you use the other ones? 24:03 Well, he said, I haven't seen any changes, 24:05 everything that I've brought up and mentioned. 24:07 I haven't seen people change. 24:09 I don't think I've been of any effect. 24:11 So, until I do, I think I'll just keep preaching 24:13 the same sermon. 24:15 So maybe I'm kind of that way. 24:17 That I love sharing the stories of the gospel of the Lord, 24:20 Jesus Christ and how the Lord is willing 24:24 to whatever we need to take the gospel to the world. 24:27 So that's the great gospel commission. 24:29 I want you to read it with me. 24:31 It's in Matthew 28:18-20. 24:34 And if you have your Bibles follow along, please. 24:36 And Jesus came and spake in to them, 24:38 saying all power is given Me in heaven and earth. 24:41 Go ye therefore and teach all nations, 24:44 baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, 24:48 and the Holy Ghost, teaching them what? 24:51 Teaching them to observe all things 24:54 whatsoever I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always, 24:58 even unto the end of the world. 25:00 Now, each of these verses could be a whole sermons 25:03 within themselves. 25:05 But today I want to touch on just maybe three main points 25:08 of each of these verses. 25:11 The very first one Jesus says, verse 18, 25:14 all power is given Me. 25:16 The dictionary says one's whole entrust, 25:18 energy or property to give one's all it says, 25:22 or it could be to lose all. 25:23 But it says often all represents. 25:26 And I love this one, the entire universe. 25:30 So, the little word, three letters, A-L-L. 25:33 And so, when you think about our Creator God, 25:36 who created the entire universe, 25:38 He's sitting here saying to us, 25:40 and these words, all power is given Me 25:43 in heaven and earth. 25:44 This little tiny word now suddenly becomes huge. 25:47 It becomes the whole universe because the creator 25:51 of the universe says all power is given Me. 25:54 And now guess what He's saying? 25:56 I'm going to give that power to you to take the gospel 25:59 of the kingdom into all the world. 26:01 So, Philippians 4:13, 26:03 I can do all things through Christ 26:06 who strengthens me," 26:07 that little word all again. 26:08 We can go again to Philippians 4:19. 26:11 I know I'm running through these. 26:13 You can write them down if you don't have time, 26:15 but write them down, read them later. 26:17 "My God shall supply all of your need 26:19 according to His riches and glory." 26:21 Then Romans 8:28, 26:23 for we know that all things and what I'm doing here 26:27 is keep bringing back that word, 26:29 that is so complete. 26:31 When Jesus says go ye into all the world, 26:34 He's just made some promises, 26:36 go therefore and teach all nations 26:38 He says in 19, baptizing them in the name of the Father, 26:42 the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 26:44 You say, well, I'm not a preacher. 26:45 I don't know how to do any of that. 26:47 Where in the world would I get the resources for all of this? 26:50 Well, let me tell you something. 26:52 The blessings of God really are on the go. 26:55 Now, many of you heard me say that before, I'm sure. 26:58 And I've said it many, many times, 26:59 but the blessings on your own life, 27:02 the blessings of your ministry, when you go into ministry 27:05 and we each should is on the go. 27:08 Once you settle in your mind that Jesus has all power 27:11 and He's willing to use you as a conduit, 27:14 nothing should stop you from carrying God's directive 27:17 for your ministry, right? 27:19 Yes. 27:20 And even including a worldwide ministry, 27:22 because He says this, we just read twice. 27:25 He says, teach all nations, the whole, 27:28 that little word, all universe again. 27:30 Right? Okay. 27:32 So, the question you may be asking 27:34 and each and every one of you 27:35 is how do I do my part in expanding 27:39 the gospel of Jesus into all the world. 27:42 People ask me that often as we travel from church to church. 27:47 So, I want to talk about that a little bit. 27:50 As I mentioned today, I don't want to just talk about 3ABN 27:53 and what we're doing. 27:54 I want to talk about what God is doing, 27:56 what He's willing to do through anyone 27:58 who's willing to be used. 28:00 So, number one, make sure it's God who's calling you. 28:04 Okay. 28:06 Are you trying to fulfill your dream for your life 28:09 or you're trying, you want God to fulfill his dream 28:13 and plan for your life? 28:15 I'm going to say that one more time. 28:16 Are you, when you want to go in ministry, 28:18 you're feeling called? 28:20 Are you trying to fulfill your dream 28:26 or God's will for your life? 28:28 There is a big difference. 28:29 I remember about three or four years 28:31 after we went on the air back in the late 80s, 28:35 I had this preacher call me and he was, 28:38 we were talking and one day he said, I'm just so upset. 28:41 Things aren't going my way. 28:43 He had started a TV program, 28:44 hence he was having all kinds of issues. 28:47 And 3ABN was continuing to grow. 28:49 We were growing and growing and growing. 28:52 So, he said, I watched, I set here at home. 28:54 And he said, I just beat my chest sometimes. 28:57 And I say, God, why did you give that ministry, 29:00 why'd you give 3ABN to him. 29:03 Danny's doing and all of his folk up there 29:05 and in his workers, why did you give it to them? 29:08 I want, I wanted it. 29:10 Lord, I wanted to be on TV. 29:12 He's telling me this. 29:13 Lord, I wanted to be on TV since I was in high school. 29:17 I wanted to be known around the world. 29:19 And now here, God picks the place 29:22 in a little cornfield in Southern Illinois. 29:24 I'm in Florida, I'm in an area where a lot of people around, 29:28 but he picks that area and he chooses you. 29:31 You don't seem to care whether you're on TV or not. 29:33 And I've always wanted to be on TV. 29:37 And now that I'm a preacher, 29:38 I really want to use this platform 29:41 to get the gospel to the world, 29:42 but I don't want to just have a 30-minute program. 29:45 I want my own television network. 29:49 He quieted down. 29:50 He talked about as fast as I just did. 29:52 He quieted down a minute and he said, Brother, Danny, 29:58 do you have any idea why God chose you 30:01 for this ministry instead of me? 30:04 And I said, well, I'm not sure why He chose me, 30:08 but I think listening to yourself, 30:11 you may understand why he hasn't chosen you. 30:13 And I didn't mean to be hurtful to him, 30:16 but I heard too many I's. 30:18 I wanted to be on television. 30:20 I want to be known. 30:22 I want to do this. 30:23 I want to do that. 30:25 And so. 30:26 that's what I'm saying when God is calling you into ministry, 30:30 make sure one of the first things you want to do 30:33 is to make sure that, guess what? 30:37 You are following what God wants you to do 30:40 and not what you want to do, right? 30:43 Because you may have gone areas. 30:45 I've been in many areas 30:47 and I'm still in that from time to time, 30:49 you get in areas that are uncomfortable. 30:51 You're not sure, really, where do I go? 30:53 This is a first. 30:55 I don't care how many years you've been in ministry. 30:56 We're going on 37. 30:58 We still run into things, Greg and Jill and I, 31:01 and we're meeting and our meetings like, 31:02 well, I'm never run across that one before. 31:05 What do we do? 31:06 So, okay, so now you said, Lord, I'm ready to go, 31:10 I feel like You're calling me into ministry, 31:12 but maybe let me check that out. 31:15 So what I do? 31:16 The next thing you do is you try the spirits 31:18 to the law and to the testimony. 31:20 You know, the scripture, Isaiah 8:20, if there's, 31:24 if they don't speak the truth, there's no light in them. 31:27 So what I have to do now 31:28 is I've got to put it to a test. 31:29 Now, when the Lord impressed me, it was November 14th, 31:32 late night hours, early morning hours, November 15th in 1984. 31:38 And the Lord impressed me. 31:39 I was trying to sleep and the Lord impressed me. 31:42 I want you to build a television station 31:44 that will reach the world 31:45 with an undiluted three angels' messages, 31:48 one that would counteract the counterfeit 31:50 into all the world. 31:51 Now, folks, I have to tell you something 31:53 that is not Danny Shelton. 31:55 That's not the way I thought, was not my thinking. 31:58 I had never thought about going into all the world 32:02 because it just would be impossibility for me. 32:07 But as I heard this voice, I had to try the spirits 32:11 because I said, well, wait a minute. 32:13 Why? 32:14 Lord, why doesn't the church 32:16 build television stations to reach the world. 32:18 Now, why did I, was I having that conversation with God? 32:22 Let me take you back. 32:23 My daughter and I were traveling and we were singing. 32:26 This was the early 80s. 32:27 And we were singing on some television networks. 32:30 And so every television network I would go to, 32:33 we would see people there that they would have 32:36 their prayer counselors, they called them. 32:38 People were calling in and I thought, Lord, 32:41 where are we as Seventh-day Adventist in the media? 32:45 There's 24 hour religious networks. 32:48 And I'm thankful for our, 32:49 It Is Written program and Breadth of Life. 32:51 And some of the others that we have 32:53 that's on a half hour Sunday morning 32:55 in some cities in the United States. 32:57 But these people have taken authority over television 33:01 and they're 24/7, 33:02 but yet so much of the stuff I heard was not the truth. 33:06 So I had this burden, every place we would go, 33:12 one of the places I went, they said, 33:13 oh, we can't wait for the rapture. 33:15 When the rapture comes, 33:16 you know, God Himself is going to come down to this channel 33:19 here in California or wherever. 33:21 And you know, the disciples, 33:22 and they're going to preach to those here 33:24 that were left behind for seven years. 33:26 I'm like, Lord, where are we as Seventh-day Adventists 33:30 in the media? 33:31 Shouldn't we be the heads instead of the tails. 33:34 So you try to spirit. 33:35 So I said in my simplicity, okay, Lord, 33:40 my first thing was, I've told you is, 33:42 well, shouldn't a church do this Lord? 33:45 Why don't you have the church do this? 33:47 But the voice I heard said, it wasn't audible. 33:51 But in my head, when it said, build an undiluted 33:54 three angels' television station reached the world 33:57 with an undiluted three angels' messages, 33:59 one that would counteract the counterfeit. 34:01 I never thought that way before. 34:03 I had never thought about 34:05 the three angels' messages that much. 34:07 And I tell people now back then I could, 34:09 I was raised in the Adventist Church. 34:11 My mother became an Adventist the year I was born. 34:14 And so now I could argue with you about, 34:18 debate somebody about the Sabbath 34:20 and the state of the dead. 34:21 I could even about health, certain things like, 34:24 you know, you name the subject. 34:25 What happens to you after you die? 34:27 You know, how long does hell burn, 34:30 all of these types of things. 34:31 But really I had never really studied 34:34 the three angels' messages. 34:36 And so for me to think, and to hear this voice, 34:38 to build a television station that will reach the world 34:41 with an undiluted three angels' messages, 34:45 one that would counteract the counterfeit was not me. 34:48 So I said, okay, Lord, this is not me. 34:50 So my trying to spirits is Isaiah 8:20. 34:53 What if there were a television station 34:56 to reach the world 24/7. 34:59 Now I didn't have any idea of how this could happen, 35:02 but it was giving the, what we call the Adventist message, 35:05 which is really, I want to make this clear 35:07 to all of our viewers, the Bible message. 35:10 A complete message, including the Old Testament 35:13 and the New Testament, including all 10 35:16 of the commandments of God. 35:17 What if there were possible, there was a television station 35:22 that could reach the world and it was giving truth 24/7. 35:26 Would that be of the Lord or would that be of the devil? 35:29 Well, that, wasn't a very hard decision. 35:32 I said, okay, that's got to be of the Lord. 35:34 So I said, okay, Lord, I'll go forward on two conditions. 35:38 Now, I don't know if I'm supposed to do 35:39 that or not. 35:40 But I had seen the people in the Bible 35:42 put out fleeces sometimes. 35:44 So I said, well, okay, maybe I can do that. 35:47 So I said, and I don't know if word is innocence 35:51 or ignorance, maybe both. 35:53 I said, well, Lord, I'll go forward on two conditions. 35:56 If this is really You, I won't beg for money. 35:59 I won't borrow money. 36:01 Now, as I always tell folk, and some of you've heard me say 36:04 it before, that was pretty easy. 36:06 When I'd gone to these, a lot of these TV stations to sing, 36:10 I felt like they were begging for money. 36:12 And I said, I'm not going to do this. 36:14 If this is the Lord, He'll supply every need. 36:17 And then I said, I won't beg for money or borrow money. 36:20 Well, guess what? 36:21 I didn't have any credit. 36:23 I'm working hand to mouth. 36:24 Just trying to every day as I can get by. 36:27 So I'm not, I don't have any money. 36:29 I don't have credit. 36:30 I couldn't borrow very much money if I had one and two. 36:34 So, Lord, I'll go forward on two conditions. 36:38 I won't beg for money, borrow money. Okay. 36:41 Then the next step, I'm talking to you now, the next step, 36:43 the Lord's impressing you what to do. 36:45 You've tried to spirits. 36:46 What do you? Do? 36:48 You step out in faith and you do it. 36:50 If God directed you, He will supply your every need. 36:53 Right? 36:55 Just take these steps one at a time. 36:56 I'm not talking about us. 36:58 I'm talking about you right now. 36:59 So please listen carefully 37:01 to what I'm about to say right now. 37:03 Timing is everything. 37:06 I'm going to say it again. 37:07 Timing is everything. 37:09 When God impresses you to do something, don't wait, 37:14 don't put it off, don't plan. 37:16 Don't get a bunch of people together 37:18 and get committees together, 37:19 You know, they say committees keep minutes, but lose time. 37:23 You've probably heard that. 37:24 Don't say, well, let me figure this out 37:27 because I can guarantee you that the devil 37:30 would love for you to wait and just talk about it. 37:33 So in my case, I really had no reason 37:36 to dream about building a station to reach the world 37:39 with the worldwide network. 37:41 How could it ever be a reality? 37:43 But the next morning after I was impressed, 37:47 I felt I had to do something, 37:49 I almost felt like there was something in my shoes 37:51 that were burning that I just had to do something. 37:54 I'd had this conversations. 37:56 I felt like with the Lord during the night, 37:59 but I couldn't just sit still. 38:00 I didn't want to say, well, let me see 38:03 Lord open up the windows of heaven 38:04 and pour me out a blessing 38:06 where there's not room enough to receive it. 38:08 I said, no, I'm not going to do that. 38:11 Go ye into all the world. 38:13 Go ye, the blessing of God is on the go. 38:16 So I didn't know what to do? 38:17 Next morning I'm knocking at my brother Kennedy's door 38:19 at 6 o'clock in the morning. 38:21 Because I know he's an early riser. 38:23 And so he's going to be there. 38:25 So I told him, Kenny, 38:26 this is what the Lord's impressed me to do. 38:28 Well, he could have laughed at me. 38:29 He could have, you know, said Danny, 38:31 go back to bed, whatever. 38:33 He didn't, he said, well, whatever, 38:35 if that's what the Lord wants, you know, count me in. 38:37 I, I'm part of it. 38:39 I'm going to be with you. 38:40 So then I said, well, what do I do now? 38:43 Oh, Hal and Mollie Steenson. 38:45 Yeah, they're charismatic pastors at the time. 38:48 Many of you know Hal and Mollie. 38:50 And Mollie, God rest her soul. 38:52 She's now resting in the Lord. 38:54 And we missed her tremendously here at 3ABN 38:57 and her husband, Hal, he's still going. 39:00 So keep praying for Brother Hal. 39:01 And Brother Hal, if you're listening, God bless. 39:03 We love you. 39:05 But I said, I got to do something. 39:06 So what am I going to do? 39:07 So I decided to go out to their church. 39:09 Why did I go to their church? 39:11 Because they had a little television studio. 39:14 They were producing programs for a local television station. 39:19 And so sometimes my daughter Melody 39:22 and I had sang on the station. 39:24 So I said, well, if I'm going to be in television, 39:27 I probably should go out and see what it entails. 39:32 I'd been in front of the cameras, 39:34 but I'd never been behind the cameras. 39:37 So I said, okay, now what else am I going to do? 39:40 Well, let me go visit that local television station 39:43 in the area. 39:45 So what happened is my dream 39:47 began to grow instead of diminishing. 39:49 See, the Lord kept me focused on the positive. 39:52 So that's what I want you to think about. 39:55 See being raised poor because of my father's disability 39:58 and only had a high school education, 40:00 had no money, had no property. 40:02 Don't have any qualifications, really. 40:04 I was living, as they say, 40:06 from hand to mouth week to week, 40:08 trying to make a living and just making enough money 40:11 to pay the bills. 40:12 And it seemed like it was an impossible dream, 40:16 but everything changed. 40:19 Now I want you to listen to this really closely too. 40:22 And this may be your life. 40:23 What you're just hearing, maybe you say, 40:25 well, Lord, I'm not qualified. 40:27 I don't have anything, Lord. 40:30 I don't even know where to begin. 40:33 I don't have money. I don't have an education. 40:36 I've got six kids or, you know, whatever. 40:38 I just don't know what to do. 40:41 And when you say to the Lord, okay, Lord, 40:45 if this is really You and You want me to go forward, 40:49 I'll go forward. 40:50 I'm going to trust You. 40:51 And I step out in faith, go, ye, the blessing is on the go. 40:57 Everything will change. 40:58 What happened? It changed my whole life. 41:00 All of those impossible dreams became a reality 41:04 with one encounter with God. 41:07 That's all it took, was one encounter with God, 41:10 took my doubts away and I can promise you. 41:13 I've never doubted God and His Word and the blessings 41:17 that He would continue to bless 3ABN for almost 37 years. 41:21 I promise you that, no matter how bleak things have looked 41:24 and have we been through all kinds of situations? 41:27 Absolutely. 41:28 We have. 41:29 Have I been through personal problems and disappointments 41:32 in my life in the last 37 years or so, 41:35 if you don't believe it, look at me. 41:37 And some of you remember when I used to look a lot younger 41:39 and look a lot better. 41:41 Right? So that's part of it. Yes. 41:43 Have I been through these things? 41:44 Have you been through these things? 41:46 Absolutely, we have, but I have never doubted, never, 41:51 my right hand up as we say before the Lord, 41:54 He knows I'm telling the truth. 41:55 I've never doubted since that night, 41:58 since the Lord said, build a television station 42:00 that will reach the world with an undiluted 42:02 three angels' messages, 42:04 one that would counteract the counterfeit. 42:06 I've never doubted that God would do His part. 42:11 Now I've been worried about myself doing my part. 42:14 We've had many people come and many people go, 42:17 but what the Lord also has shown me 42:18 and He will show you this too. 42:21 It's not about the messenger, it's about the message. 42:24 We'll talk about that a little bit later on, 42:27 but that's what God is looking for. 42:29 And that's what He's going to bless. 42:30 As I said, people come and go. 42:32 We get people come. 42:33 And then over the years, no matter who you are 42:35 and you meet people, we're all can, it can happen to us. 42:38 We can get full of ourselves. 42:39 Pastors can get full of themselves. 42:41 Evangelists thinking all, look at me, I'm really, 42:45 you know, God's using me. 42:46 I'm doing all these things. 42:47 No, God is blessing you in spite of you. 42:52 But see, He says His word will not return void. 42:56 So it doesn't, you don't have to be, that's why, 42:58 when I'd watch some of these TV stations, 43:00 I remember in the very beginning, 43:02 I'm like, Lord, these TV stations, 43:05 some of these that I'm watching, 43:06 there was a couple of channels in the 80s. 43:09 And I said, there are so many things are so far off, 43:13 biblically on, their theology is off. 43:16 So how can you be blessing those people? 43:20 And one night I had a dream and in this dream, I was, 43:24 I don't know where I was, 43:26 but I was in the midst of an apple orchard. 43:29 And the apples were huge and the trees 43:33 were all hanging down loaded with these ripe red apples. 43:38 And all I had to do is just reach out 43:40 and pluck them, just like this. 43:42 I could walk around. 43:43 I didn't see God, but it was just He and I talk. 43:46 And I said, Lord, what are all of these ripe red apples? 43:51 And I'm going to take you back before I gave you God's answer 43:55 because I had been traveling 43:57 start since my daughter and I sang, 43:59 and ever since I was impressed 44:01 to build this television station 44:03 for the next couple of months or so 44:05 we had what we call engagements on weekends to sing. 44:08 I would get up and tell people we're going to build 44:10 an Adventist television station to reach the world. 44:13 We're going to counter, counteract. 44:15 Because I heard counteract the counterfeit. 44:17 So I'm going to counteract and I would name names, 44:19 this network and that network. 44:22 And we're going to do, you know, whatever. 44:24 So this night I have the dream. 44:26 I said, Lord, what are all of these ripe red apples, 44:30 this beautiful, this hanging down. 44:32 And it's just like He said to me, these are people. 44:36 These represent people who've come to the knowledge 44:39 of the truth through these other networks. 44:43 They've come off of drugs, they've come off alcohol, 44:46 they've come off of all their problems, their bad habits, 44:50 they've surrendered their lives and now you 44:53 with giving the three angels' messages, 3ABN, 44:57 are ready, these ripe red apples ready to be plucked. 45:00 What God taught me was something very important. 45:03 Man is not my enemy because I disagree with someone 45:08 because I look at some preacher and say, oh, boy, he's a phony. 45:11 And maybe he is, or because I look at somebody else 45:14 or they look at me because people look at me the same way. 45:17 What I learned about that is our enemy is the devil. 45:22 I'm going to say it again. 45:24 Our enemy is the devil. 45:25 It is not each other. 45:27 And this disunity is the division in the church 45:31 that's keeping this gospel of the kingdom 45:34 from going into all the world. 45:36 My hope and prayer today is that each and every one of us, 45:42 me included will pray, Lord, help us to be one. 45:45 Remember the disciples that came in one accord. 45:49 When they came in one accord, we're not talking 45:50 about a little car around here they call it accord, right? 45:53 We're saying them when they came in one accord, 45:55 one mind, one heart, guess what God did? 45:59 He poured out His Holy Spirit. 46:00 When He began to pour out His Holy Spirit on people. 46:03 Then when they went forward, 46:05 people could see the Jesus in them. 46:06 I, if I be lifted up from this earth will draw, 46:10 that little word again, all men to me. 46:15 Now, I've learned a lot in 37 years. 46:18 I'm still learning. 46:20 I don't have it all. I still make mistakes. 46:22 I still can't believe that I do some of the things 46:25 that Lord only by Your grace 46:29 and I want you to think about your life today. 46:31 You say I'm not fit for ministry. 46:34 I have people tell me I'm not, 46:36 I'm just not good enough to go to church. 46:38 I had a guy that I knew for years 46:40 and he traveled with me. 46:42 And, I won't give too much details 46:44 because some of you would know who he is, 46:46 but he's a wonderful guy. 46:48 But I would say, hey, when you want to come to church, 46:51 you want to come to church. 46:52 He would say, I just can't go to church. 46:54 I ask why not? 46:55 I'm not good enough. 46:57 I said, I'm not either. 47:00 We can go to church because of Christ's righteousness 47:03 because He shed His blood on the cross of Calvary 47:07 for you and me. 47:08 Therefore we can stand perfect before the Father. 47:11 So all we have to do is to confess our sins, 47:14 realize that we're sinners, confess our sins. 47:18 The Bible says in 1 John 1:9, 47:20 "He's faithful and just to forgive us from our sins 47:23 and to cleanse us from," 47:27 there's that word again, 47:28 "all unrighteousness." 47:31 Isn't that amazing 47:32 how that word just keeps popping up? 47:34 All when I'm thinking about universe, 47:36 the creator of the universe is willing to forgive us 47:41 from our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 47:44 So no, God uses us in spite of us. 47:47 We are not each other's enemies. 47:49 We've let, and I won't get into it now, 47:51 but maybe at some point, 47:53 and you know what I'm talking about. 47:54 We've let politics divide the church. 47:56 We've let all kinds of things divide the church of God. 48:01 We should not be changing. 48:02 The thing that I want to encourage you 48:04 when you're in ministry, when God gives you a message, 48:07 when He gives you a message, a mission, stay focused on it. 48:11 Now the waiting part, I believe that if I had waited 48:14 even a week or two to start the go ye directive, 48:18 you know, I said, I got up that next morning. 48:20 I believe God would have allowed 48:22 the devil to talk me out of it. 48:25 Think about that for a minute. 48:26 The Lord's impressing you to do something 48:30 and you want to think about it. 48:31 So your tendency is, that's a huge task, Lord. 48:37 How could You ask me to do that? 48:39 That's, I can't do that. 48:41 That's a big task. 48:43 What you will do is you will talk yourself out 48:46 of doing what God's called you to do. 48:49 So, and don't spend too much time planning, 48:52 because remember it's not about you anyway, right? 48:55 So don't spend too much time planning, just go forward. 48:58 In the beginning, the Lord's impressing you. 49:00 I go, I ended up at my brothers, as I just mentioned. 49:03 I ended up at Hal and Mollie Steenson's church. 49:06 They all encouraged me, went to the television station 49:10 to see how it worked. 49:11 And so, that's all I knew how to do, but see, 49:16 I really believe this with all my heart, 49:18 that if you don't do what God's impressing you to do, 49:22 He will pass you right on by and He'll go to somebody else 49:27 and they will be doing what really 49:29 He had planned for your life. 49:31 You know how I know that? 49:33 It's happened at least three times 49:36 that I know of within a year or two 49:38 after 3ABN went on the air, 49:41 I started going to a different churches 49:44 and I would tell my story, 49:46 the Lord impressed to build this television station. 49:48 Then this little lady donated property. 49:51 Then I would say, then the power lines was there, 49:54 the electricity. 49:56 People came up from Tennessee 49:57 and they gave the first 50,000 to erect the station. 50:01 And so the Lord impressed us, 50:03 and now we're getting ready to go on satellite. 50:05 And that satellite is going to cover north America, 50:08 and then eventually the world. 50:10 After the service, three different occasions, 50:13 one was the lady in Chicago. 50:15 She came up to me and she had worked some in television. 50:18 She said, I know every word that you're saying is true. 50:23 I said, really? 50:24 She said, yes, because, and I don't remember 50:26 the exact years, but two or three years ago, whatever, 50:30 the Lord impressed me the same thing. 50:32 He came to me and I wrestled with Him just like you did, 50:37 because He's told me to build a television station 50:40 that would reach the world 50:41 almost exactly what he told you. 50:43 But she said, I'm one person. 50:45 I don't have any money. 50:47 I work for a TV station. 50:49 There's no way I could do it. 50:51 And so I didn't do it. 50:54 Now, I see that God called me and I missed out. 50:56 I was over in Indiana at a church, 51:00 told a story, maybe months later. 51:03 A man came up to me and he said, 51:06 every word you're saying is true. 51:09 I know it because I'm an engineer. 51:13 He said, I'm a television engineer. 51:14 I worked for, I don't remember what network it was. 51:18 I worked for network. 51:19 And I've been thinking that I was so impressed, 51:23 Adventist should have television station 51:25 to reach the world. 51:27 And so I got this impression one night 51:30 to build a television station to reach the world. 51:32 But I couldn't do that. 51:35 I didn't have the money. 51:36 I don't, you know, I know how to build the stations, 51:40 but I don't know anybody. 51:41 How would I put it together? 51:42 I don't know anything about programming. 51:44 I don't have any, I just can't. 51:47 Lord, I can't do it. 51:49 So I didn't. 51:52 Third place I went to, exact same thing happened. 51:57 Another person came up. 51:58 I know you're telling the truth. 52:00 Ten years later when Jim Gilley was here, 52:03 Jim told the story on the air. 52:06 And like 1979 or 1980, 52:09 he was working at the North American division 52:12 and was at the General Conference. 52:14 And he said, he went to the General Conference 52:16 and said, we need to build Adventist television station 52:20 24/7 to reach the world. 52:23 But he said, I couldn't get anywhere. 52:25 No one would go for it. 52:28 Everybody said, there's just no way we can do that. 52:31 That's huge. 52:32 It would cost a tremendous amount of money. 52:34 We're not able to do it. 52:36 You know, let's just don't do it. 52:39 So he said, I just forgot about it. 52:42 Then about six years later, he said, the very first time 52:46 I heard you, you were in Texas, in Keene talking to the church 52:51 in Sabbath school. 52:52 I was there and I said, I'm on board 52:55 because I know this is God's will, because that's exactly 52:59 what the Lord impressed me six years before. 53:02 So, folks, if the Lord is impressing you 53:05 to do something, don't wait. 53:07 Don't try to hire a bunch of people. 53:10 Don't find out, you know, all they say that, 53:13 I won't go into that story about the perspective. 53:15 Do you have a perspective? 53:16 Don't worry about all that. 53:18 Go forward and watch what God has you to do. 53:21 The next, this one's a tough one. 53:24 When you don't blame things on other people, okay? 53:28 Take the responsibility. 53:31 Don't wait on others. 53:32 Because I've seen that so many times people come to me. 53:35 Well, if you thought about building this 53:37 and it wouldn't even be television, 53:39 they'll say, well, the Lord impressed me 53:40 to do this ministry but I think 3ABN should do it. 53:44 You'd be good at it. 53:45 I said, well, wait a minute. 53:47 You just said the Lord impressed you, right? 53:49 Well, yeah. Then why 3ABN? 53:50 Well, you guys have the resources. 53:52 I said, you have the exact same resources that we have, 53:57 the Lord and the Holy Spirit to work on it. 53:59 So people say, oh, well, 54:01 I really wanted to do something, 54:03 but my church didn't support me. 54:05 Excuses. See the devil loves excuses. 54:08 So when the Lord is impressing you to do something, 54:10 don't say, well, you know, my church didn't support me, 54:16 my pastor didn't support me, 54:18 My husband didn't support me, you know? 54:20 So when things don't go right, what do you do? 54:22 You take responsibility. 54:24 Here's where the devil has a hay day. 54:27 Literally has a hay day, excuses. 54:29 There's an old song says excuses, excuses, 54:32 I hear them every day, the devil, he'll supply them. 54:36 If from church, you stay away, you know. 54:39 So anyway, I won't even go with the rest of that song. 54:42 I've repeated it before, 54:44 but I want to encourage you, 54:46 never be discouraged. 54:48 There's no reason, all heaven is on your side. 54:51 I want to tell you, even after 37 years of ministry, 54:55 3ABN still deals with the opposition. 54:58 Virtually every day there is times 55:01 that we deal with opposition sometimes within the church, 55:04 sometimes without it. 55:06 But why not? 55:08 I mentioned it earlier. 55:09 I said sometimes if we're in, I've mentioned other people 55:12 and look, if we're not butting heads with the devil, 55:15 then we must be running alongside of him. 55:17 So don't be discouraged. 55:19 Don't let the devil discourage you, go forward. 55:22 Don't worry about oppositions. 55:24 I want to go up now and talk about some of the things 55:26 that we can be encouraged about. 55:27 Okay? 55:29 I'm kind of telling you what not to be discouraged 55:31 about, but let's talk about being encouraged. 55:33 I want to talk about the goodness of God 55:35 and I want to talk about God's timing. 55:38 It's no accident again. 55:40 I believe in divine providence. 55:42 We do not believe in coincidence. 55:45 We don't believe in accidents, 55:46 but we believe in divine providence. 55:49 So I want to go back to timing. 55:51 When the Lord impressed us to build this station, 55:53 we didn't have anything. 55:55 Now think of this timing. 55:56 The first Wednesday night after I was impressed 55:59 to build a station, I went to prayer meeting. 56:01 Now I have to tell you the truth. 56:02 I didn't always back then go to prayer meeting. 56:05 Maybe don't always now and should more, 56:08 but I'm just saying a lot of times I didn't go. 56:11 I show up for prayer meeting and there's a woman. 56:14 Now our prayer meeting there in little West Frankfort Church 56:16 had about 12 people in it. 56:18 But there was a lady who showed up, 77 years old, 56:21 I believe, her name Fonda Summers. 56:23 She came to that meeting because my mother 56:26 had gotten a card from a literature evangelist 56:29 who said, hey, this lady ask about books, 56:31 maybe you'll want to go see her. 56:33 So my mother drove out towards Thompsonville area 56:36 to find the lady, she talked to her. 56:38 Her name was Fonda Summers. 56:40 I think she belonged to the Methodist Church 56:43 and invited her to come to prayer meeting. 56:45 So that Wednesday night she came to prayer meeting. 56:49 Now is this coincidence. 56:51 I'll keep saying this or divine providence. 56:53 She comes to prayer meeting that night. 56:55 I stand up and say, tell them, look the Lord's impressed me 56:58 to build a television station to reach the world, 57:02 and prayer meetings over, we'd go home two nights later, 57:04 Friday night, my mother calls me, Danny, guess what? 57:07 Fonda Summers, the little lady 57:09 that was at church Wednesday night. 57:10 Yes. 57:12 She said she went home and said, 57:13 Lord, I'd like, was praying. 57:14 Lord I'd like to do something to help these folk, 57:17 but I don't have any money. 57:18 I don't have anything. 57:20 The Lord said to me, she says, 57:22 what is this you have in your hand? 57:24 Well, I don't have any, I got six acres of property. 57:28 I mean my house and everything's on the front. 57:30 Maybe I could give him two acres 57:31 in the back of the property, if that would help. 57:35 Well, now really Thompsonville 600 West Frankfort 57:38 was about 9,000. 57:40 Thompsonville about 600. 57:41 If you're going to build a TV station to reach the world, 57:44 that's probably not where you're going to figure 57:46 that you want to be in the back of somebody's property, 57:49 out in the middle of Timbuktu, right, in the boondocks. 57:53 But she says, Fonda Summer said, well, 57:55 the Lord impressed her to give some property. 57:58 So I said, well, praise the Lord. 58:00 That's good. 58:01 Well, I mentioned I had gone to a TV station. 58:04 I talked to an engineer named Clarence Larson. 58:06 Clarence said to me, I know what you're doing. 58:09 I think of advent or Shelton's 58:11 he said as singers and carpenters. 58:14 And he said, I don't think of you building stations. 58:17 Because I've seen you on ours, 58:18 but I've been doing an engineering study 58:20 for another station about going to satellites, 58:23 which I knew nothing about and satellites 58:26 and taking signals that would go all across North America. 58:29 And I said, really? 58:31 And he says, get this. 58:32 He says, I've been studying on my little Apple II computer. 58:36 And I think there's a place out towards Thompsonville 58:39 that would be free of microwave signals, 58:42 where you could send satellite signals 58:45 to space 22,300 miles to hit a satellite 58:49 that then would send signals all around North America, 58:52 down into TV stations, down into homes, 58:55 through big satellite dishes. 58:57 And I said, wow, property, she's saying out this way, 59:02 Clarence says, so we get Scientific Atlanta from Georgia 59:06 come out and do a study on properties. 59:09 I said to them, I have some property. 59:12 I'll never forget what the man said. 59:14 No, you don't know if you have property or not. 59:16 Let us come to your area. 59:17 We'll do a study and see if any of that... 59:20 Let's see if any of that, there's property anywhere 59:24 that would be free of microwave interferences. 59:26 Because your Illinois Bell and all these different 59:29 microwave signals flying. 59:30 And you, if you're going to satellite, 59:32 you can't have interference. 59:34 So I said, well, I actually, I have two properties. 59:36 He said two piece, two acres of property. 59:38 He said, you don't know that work. 59:40 I said, well, come up and do the test. 59:42 They did not only did it work. 59:44 He said, this is the only area spot in the entire area 59:48 you can send satellite signals to any of the 20. 59:51 I think it was 20 or 21 satellites in space 59:54 right now that can be down linked 59:56 anywhere across North America. 59:58 Can you imagine what that did to us 01:00:01 in the beginning to say, 01:00:03 oh, the Lord has, this is real. 01:00:07 That dream build a station what? 01:00:10 The Lord impresses people. I don't even know. 01:00:12 It's that's timing 01:00:14 is what I want to talk to you about. 01:00:15 God shall supply all your need, but the timing is so important. 01:00:19 Had she not been to prayer meeting? 01:00:21 Had I not been at that same time? 01:00:24 How things work is divine providence. 01:00:27 I went and when Clarence, 01:00:29 the engineer I was telling you about. 01:00:31 And so, the timing of meeting him 01:00:34 and I knew him from before, but meeting him 01:00:36 and finding out he only lives a couple 01:00:38 of country blocks from me 01:00:39 and start working with this man to do engineering studies. 01:00:42 I could go through over and over and over again. 01:00:45 Now we needed money. We needed some money. 01:00:47 The lady gave us the property. 01:00:48 We needed money to build the roads. 01:00:50 So, $6,000, we didn't have any money, 01:00:54 but I talked to the guy who delivers the gravel. 01:00:56 Well, he could do it the next, like five days later. 01:00:59 So, I told him by faith, 01:01:01 bring the gravel because it was fall. 01:01:03 It was starting to going to, I knew it was going to rain. 01:01:05 We wouldn't be able to get through all 01:01:06 our 1400 feet to get to the back of her property. 01:01:10 We needed to get road dug and get some gravel in there. 01:01:13 So, we could drive to build a building. 01:01:15 My brother and I didn't know how to build buildings. 01:01:17 We were carpenters, so we didn't have the money. 01:01:20 So, we're praying about it for several days. 01:01:22 Oh, Lord, this is huge. 01:01:24 We don't have $6,000. 01:01:26 No one had ever given $6,000. 01:01:28 So, we pray about it on a, like a day or two 01:01:31 before that the gravel was to be delivered. 01:01:35 I went to the mailbox. 01:01:36 PO Box, I think was 582 in West Frankfort, a little small box. 01:01:40 We've got a bigger one now, praise the Lord. 01:01:42 This time, a little small box and opened it up. 01:01:45 There were only two letters. 01:01:47 Now people would hear about 3ABN. We were young. 01:01:50 We weren't on the air, just starting, but I'd put out 01:01:53 a little newsletters and handout at churches. 01:01:55 So, word was getting around every now 01:01:57 and then somebody would send $10 and say, I want to help you 01:01:59 or $15 or 20, but no, this one, I opened up two letters. 01:02:04 I'm like, oh, boy. First one is for $2,000. 01:02:08 The lady from Chicago said, 01:02:09 hey, the Lake Union Herald did a little story about you 01:02:14 and your brothers and your family 01:02:15 going to build an Adventist television network. 01:02:18 And the Lord impressed me to send you this $2,000. 01:02:21 I opened up the next letter, 01:02:23 $4,000 from a guy named Dale 01:02:26 out in California, 01:02:28 San Diego area. 01:02:29 And he said, the Lord impressed me 01:02:31 of the urgency you need this $4,000, 01:02:34 it's six, two and four, you don't have to be much 01:02:37 of a mathematician to figure that one out $6,000 01:02:40 just what we needed to build the road. 01:02:43 Now, when the Lord says go ye into all the world, 01:02:46 we've said it over and over again. 01:02:48 He will do if He hasn't been doing it for you, 01:02:50 maybe it's because you haven't stepped out in faith yet. 01:02:53 So again, when God blesses us, in spite of us, 01:02:56 what I'm sharing you, some of these things, 01:02:58 He didn't do it because we're good people. 01:03:00 None of us are good. 01:03:01 We're all as filthy rags in the sight of the Lord, 01:03:04 but God wants to do great and mighty 01:03:07 and marvelous things in us 01:03:08 and through us as we go forward. 01:03:11 And I'm just, I'm amazed. 01:03:12 I'm sitting here saying, what could I say, 01:03:15 it's, now it's what do I not have time to say the clock 01:03:19 is my enemy. 01:03:20 There's so many things that right now, 01:03:22 it's going through my mind. 01:03:23 Miracle after miracle timing, divine providence, 01:03:26 not coincidence. 01:03:27 Give you an instance. 01:03:29 We're on the air out to two acres of property. 01:03:31 For a few years, we start growing, 01:03:33 ministries is outgrowing. 01:03:34 We need to buy some property. 01:03:36 So, I said, well, let's go out to 149. 01:03:38 That's the highway between West Frankfort and Thompsonville. 01:03:41 See if there's any property, 01:03:43 one evening, I'm driving by. 01:03:45 I look up on the right 01:03:46 and there's some really beautiful property. 01:03:48 I don't know how much is there, 01:03:49 but it had been farming had been in corn 01:03:51 or what have you for the last few years, 01:03:54 but it was up there empty. 01:03:55 So, I asked a neighbor who owns that. 01:03:57 They told me who owned the property. 01:03:59 So, I just felt impressed back then you could look 01:04:02 up in phone book and get a guy's name, right? 01:04:04 Phone numbers back then. 01:04:05 So, I went home, I looked up his phone number. 01:04:08 So, I called him and I said, listen, 01:04:11 I understand you own the property 01:04:13 out there on Charlie Good Road. 01:04:15 It's where our main administration 01:04:16 building is right now. 01:04:18 I said, understand you own that property. 01:04:19 Yeah, I do. 01:04:21 And I said, would that property by chance be for sale? 01:04:25 And he was quiet a second. 01:04:26 And he said for sale, why do you ask? 01:04:30 And I said, well, I was looking for some property 01:04:33 and I drove by that. 01:04:35 And it just looked like it was pretty property. 01:04:36 I have no idea how much property you have. 01:04:39 If it's for sale. He said, well, no, it wasn't for sale. 01:04:41 I do have 70 acres there. 01:04:44 And I said, oh, wow, because I didn't know 01:04:47 how much that would cost. 01:04:48 But I said, oh, 70 acres. 01:04:50 He said, but you know, what's interesting. 01:04:52 He said, my wife and I we're farmers, 01:04:55 and we have orchards. 01:04:56 And this property that you're talking about 01:04:59 is about two miles from the rest of our property 01:05:02 and I'm getting older now. 01:05:04 And it's too much hassle for me to go back 01:05:06 and forth with my farming equipment and try to farm this. 01:05:10 So tonight, 01:05:12 we were sitting here, 01:05:14 they're Christian said, we were sitting here saying, 01:05:16 I wonder if we should sell that property. 01:05:19 Maybe we should put this property up for sale. 01:05:22 He said, and you call the phone rings. 01:05:25 Now, is that coincidence or that divine providence? 01:05:28 So, I said, well, do you have any idea 01:05:31 how much you would take for the property? 01:05:33 He said, well, we were just talking about that too. 01:05:35 He says, would 50,000 be fair enough? 01:05:40 I said, yes. 01:05:41 He said, it is, you want to buy it? 01:05:44 I said, yes, sir. 01:05:46 I want to buy it. 01:05:47 And I hadn't even gone to look the rest of it. 01:05:49 I said, I want to buy it. 01:05:51 So now did I have $50,000? No, I did not. 01:05:54 Did not have 50,000. 01:05:55 So, I said, he said, when you want to do this, 01:05:58 I said, as soon as you can get the title insurance, 01:06:01 I'll have the money. 01:06:02 Well, that's going to take about a week or so. 01:06:04 I said, okay, we'll have the money. 01:06:05 And you know what? 01:06:07 A week or so later, 01:06:08 when we went into Mike Reeve's office in West 01:06:10 Frankfort attorney, 01:06:11 we had the money put down the $50,000. 01:06:14 God blessed it over and over. 01:06:16 We began to grow. 01:06:17 We were growing so now we needed to say, 01:06:19 well, now we need this sanctuary. 01:06:22 We ended up building a school and some apartments 01:06:25 and we needed more property. 01:06:27 So, across the highway, 01:06:30 just past towards Thompsonville, 01:06:32 where we bought the 70 on the left, 01:06:35 I would drive by there. 01:06:36 And I remember years ago and I'd forgotten about this. 01:06:40 I drove by and I saw a property over on the left 01:06:42 but it's grown up and you couldn't really see 01:06:44 what all was there. 01:06:45 So, I asked Larry Welch who worked here at the time. 01:06:49 Why don't you see who owns that? 01:06:50 How much acreage it is and see if they'll sell it. 01:06:54 So, he did. 01:06:55 And he came back and he said, oh, yeah. 01:06:57 And he gave me the lady's name. 01:06:59 I don't think she would mind me giving her name, 01:07:01 but I won't without her permission. 01:07:04 So, she, he said, no. 01:07:07 She said that she and her husband 01:07:08 had owned that property. 01:07:10 He died a number of years ago. 01:07:11 It's got a nice little pond on it. 01:07:13 And they used to have people out fishing 01:07:15 and that property just means a lot to her. 01:07:17 So, she's not, she doesn't want to sell. 01:07:20 So, I said, okay, so few years went by. 01:07:22 That's what it was. And then we ended up with this property. 01:07:27 I'm talking about on Charlie Good Road, 01:07:29 the 70 acres, but now we're continuing to grow. 01:07:32 We need some more. I forget about it. 01:07:35 So, I look up who she is, should have thought about it. 01:07:39 Because it's 10 years later. 01:07:40 So, I drive in, knock on her door, 01:07:43 told her, I said, hi, I'm Danny Shelton. 01:07:45 She said, I know who you are. 01:07:47 She said, you're here about asking about property. 01:07:50 And I said, yes. 01:07:52 And she said, because I was at a blank. 01:07:55 You know, I'm like what? 01:07:57 She said, well, remember what I told you the last time. 01:07:59 And she had told, I guess through Larry, 01:08:02 she said, I told you, last time you asked several years ago, 01:08:05 I would keep this property till I die. 01:08:07 Didn't I? I said, you know what? 01:08:09 I'm sorry. I forgot about it. 01:08:11 She said, come on in, you can have minute. 01:08:14 Come in. I said, yes. 01:08:15 She said tonight, I was sitting here praying Lord, 01:08:19 what should I do with that property? 01:08:21 She said, I have a little building on it. 01:08:23 People had gone out there. 01:08:24 They were staying all night around the pond. 01:08:26 I was afraid they were going to drown. 01:08:29 They were throwing cans through the windows. 01:08:33 And I had the insurance company out here 01:08:35 and it's just too much responsibility for me. 01:08:38 I was praying tonight, Lord, 01:08:40 what should I do with this property? 01:08:42 And she said, you knocked on my door. 01:08:45 Now, is that coincidence or is that divine providence? 01:08:48 So, I asked her how much property. 01:08:50 It was nearly a 100 acres. 01:08:52 And let me tell you, she gave, also gave a great deal. 01:08:55 Wasn't much more per acre than that. 01:08:58 And I won't give those details without her permission, 01:09:01 but it's amazing. 01:09:03 So, I can take you time and time 01:09:06 and time again of what people would say. 01:09:08 Well, I don't know if I can go, 01:09:11 you know, I don't know if I can do this. 01:09:12 Look, you can do all things through Christ 01:09:15 who strengthens you, how much? 01:09:16 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 01:09:20 The reason that God is opening up doors 01:09:23 and He's opening up technology like with 3ABN to reach 01:09:26 the world is because heaven 01:09:28 is not heaven till God's children are home. 01:09:36 Heaven is not heaven till God's children are all there. 01:09:41 Heaven for the most part is empty. 01:09:43 All there may be mansions been built. 01:09:46 There's plenty of room, but God's people aren't there. 01:09:51 Jesus is coming back to this earth very soon. 01:09:54 And when He comes back, it's ready or not. 01:09:58 Are we ready? Are we not? 01:10:00 And I want to be counted among those that said, 01:10:03 Lord, send me and we're willing to go. 01:10:08 And the Lord wants you, I'm telling you again, 01:10:10 this today, these things not for, 01:10:13 again, God blesses us all in spite of us. 01:10:16 In 1991 in the fall, Pastor John Carter called me, 01:10:20 Danny, would you want to go to Russia? 01:10:23 Gods opened the doors for, 01:10:25 to go to Russia and preach the gospel. 01:10:28 Communism had just fallen. 01:10:30 He said, we're going to do it in May of '92. 01:10:32 We were going to go to Moscow. 01:10:33 But then a city opened up called Nizhny Novgorod, 01:10:37 Russia, third largest city in Russia, 01:10:39 about three and a half million people. 01:10:42 Would you want to go over there with me 01:10:43 and 3ABN and bring cameras? 01:10:45 Absolutely. Some of you've seen the footage. 01:10:47 If not, we probably should get it out again 01:10:49 and show some of it from time to time. 01:10:52 But that meet, at those meetings, 01:10:54 thousands of people showed up every night. 01:10:57 Elder Carter rented a building, hold about 6,000 people 01:11:01 and it's seven at most. 01:11:02 Three nights, he had to do three services a night. 01:11:06 It just kept going on and on. 01:11:08 The crowds built, thousands of people. 01:11:10 At the end of the meetings, 01:11:11 we baptized 2,532 souls there in Russia, 01:11:16 behind the Iron Curtain that only a few years before, 01:11:19 it would be impossible to get to. 01:11:21 Now we were there preaching the gospel and into baptisms. 01:11:24 The KGB brings out trucks, sets up tents. 01:11:29 And so, all these pastors, 01:11:31 27 pastors can go out for four hours, 01:11:33 baptizing people in the cold Volga River. 01:11:37 Now all of this happens, 01:11:39 the president of the conference, 01:11:41 Vasil Stolyar, and the vice president 01:11:44 Alexander Antinuk came to me and said, 01:11:47 we have a major problem now, 01:11:49 while these meetings have been so successful, 01:11:52 we don't have a place to put the people. 01:11:54 We only have one church in this entire huge city 01:11:57 holds 225 people or so. 01:12:00 And one church is all we have and it's almost full. 01:12:04 And now we've baptized 2,532 people. 01:12:08 What are we going to do? 01:12:10 Can we meet together and talk? 01:12:12 So, we were staying into Ruscio hotel 01:12:15 there right overlooking the Volga. 01:12:18 And I said river. And I said, sure. 01:12:20 So, when can we meet? 01:12:22 How about tomorrow morning at 11? 01:12:24 Can we meet? I said, sure. 01:12:25 So, I'm standing on the stairs. Now listen to this. 01:12:28 God's timing. The blessing is on the go. 01:12:31 But I want to talk about His timing 01:12:32 again when we're willing, 01:12:34 I'm standing on a little stairs coming down and I'm waiting. 01:12:37 It's about 15 minutes till 11 01:12:39 and so I'm waiting on this conference 01:12:41 pastors to come to have a meeting. 01:12:43 We're just going to find a place in the lobby to meet. 01:12:46 So, I'm waiting on him. 01:12:48 And while I do, there's a man that walks up to me. 01:12:50 He's an American. I've never met him before. 01:12:53 Don't know who he is. He says, hi. 01:12:55 He says, my name is Manny Travis. 01:12:58 I'm from California. 01:12:59 Now some of you may know Manny Travis. 01:13:02 I had never met Manny. 01:13:04 So, he said he had a little recorder, 01:13:06 little microphone, little recorder. 01:13:07 And he said, do you have just a minute, 01:13:12 I would like to interview you? 01:13:13 And, 'cause I'm going to take it back home 01:13:16 and tell people what's going on. 01:13:18 Could I just get a little interview? 01:13:19 And I said to him, 01:13:21 I'm sorry, Mr. Travis, I can't right now, 01:13:24 I'm waiting on the conference leaders. 01:13:25 And I was looking down the doorway, 01:13:27 the hallway waiting for them. 01:13:28 I said, they're coming in. 01:13:30 We're going to have a meeting about that we need to meet. 01:13:33 I said they there's, they don't know 01:13:35 what to do with all these people we baptized. 01:13:37 So, he said, I'm sorry to bother you. 01:13:40 And I said, what brought you here? 01:13:42 Did you come with Elder Carter? 01:13:43 No, I said, I didn't come with Elder Carter. 01:13:45 I just came on my, He said, I heard it on the air. 01:13:49 I saw what you were doing. 01:13:50 And I watched the meetings and I said, I want to come. 01:13:53 So, he said, I heard about the meeting. 01:13:54 So, I came over here. That's the way it was. 01:13:57 I came over here on my own, 01:14:00 74 years old I think he said he was. 01:14:02 I was impressed to go to Russia by myself, 01:14:04 made my own arrangements. 01:14:05 And I said, what do you do? 01:14:07 He said, well, I'm just sitting people. 01:14:08 I'm an usher every night. 01:14:10 That was a big job because people were literally 01:14:12 running over each other to get seats into this auditorium. 01:14:16 So, I was just here. He said, I'm just here. 01:14:18 So, well, listen, I'm sorry to bother you. 01:14:21 I saw the conference president 01:14:22 and vice president coming in and it's like, 01:14:25 the Lord spoke to me. 01:14:27 Manny walked off. 01:14:28 I said to Mr. Travis, Brother Travis, 01:14:31 come back for a minute and I said, 01:14:32 why don't you go sit down with us in the meeting? 01:14:35 Oh, I don't have anything to, I have no reason to. 01:14:39 I said, well, why don't you sit with us? 01:14:41 Because I was feeling bad. 01:14:43 Because I had kind of just brushed him off. 01:14:45 I felt like, man, that's not a nice way to do somebody. 01:14:48 I wasn't kind enough to him. 01:14:50 I was afraid I wasn't kind enough 01:14:51 because I was so concentrating on this that I wanted 01:14:54 him to know that, hey look, I'm glad you're here. 01:14:57 Thankful you're here. But so, no. 01:14:59 So, I said, well, come on and sit down with us, 01:15:01 let's talk. So, they had a translator. 01:15:04 So, they said, what are we going to do? 01:15:06 The governor has opened up 13 buildings 01:15:10 and they're going to allow 13 businesses 01:15:12 there several in Nizhny Novgorod 01:15:15 that were being built back 20 years ago 01:15:17 that the government never finished. 01:15:19 So, they're half done. 01:15:20 Some of them are huge buildings, 01:15:21 like 200,000 square feet, 01:15:24 but they're going to open them up for sale 01:15:26 for the first time since communism started in 1917, 01:15:30 would you help us buy some property 01:15:33 and maybe one of those old buildings we can remodel? 01:15:36 And I said, yes, but it'd have to be big enough to hold 20, 01:15:41 you know, 2,500, plus this church is going to grow. 01:15:43 So, we need a building that's going to be huge. 01:15:46 Well, there's a few of them started. 01:15:48 And I said, well, why don't you look around 01:15:51 and see what you can find? 01:15:52 And I said, maybe we'll help you buy. 01:15:54 I said, what do you think it would cost 01:15:55 for something like that. 01:15:57 And I remember that the president said, 01:16:01 oh, it costs way too much money. 01:16:03 I said, well, just give me an idea. 01:16:05 Oh, you couldn't afford it. 01:16:06 I said, well, I can't afford it. 01:16:08 Maybe the Lord can. 01:16:09 What do you think it would cost to buy a piece of property? 01:16:14 Now, remember people were making $15 a month at the time, 01:16:17 Julia Outkina, PhD in Linguistics, 01:16:20 who still our director. 01:16:21 And I won't have much time to get into that today 01:16:24 as our director of 3ABN Russia, she's a PhD in Linguistics. 01:16:29 And I think making $15 a month, 01:16:31 her mother's a physician making 20. 01:16:33 So, Russia compared to economy compared to the US then. 01:16:37 So, they said, you couldn't afford it. 01:16:39 There's no way you can afford it. 01:16:41 So, I said, what would it cost? Just give me a figure. 01:16:44 So finally, he looks at me 01:16:46 and he says probably about a $100,000. 01:16:51 Well, to me, I, you mean we could build, 01:16:54 buy a huge facility in Russia, 01:16:58 never been able to do that before for only a $100,000, 01:17:02 they were saying, oh, this is impossible. 01:17:04 There's no way we could raise that much money. 01:17:08 So, I said, what people sometimes do 01:17:10 when we've been in ministry for a while. 01:17:12 And we kind of think 01:17:14 we know where God is leading and we shouldn't, 01:17:15 but our human tendency is. 01:17:18 So, I say, well, listen, if you can get us something 01:17:22 and we can buy it for a $100,000, 01:17:25 I'll go back to the States. 01:17:26 I'm going to tell all of our American friends, 01:17:29 I'm going to tell them about this opportunity 01:17:32 about we need a church for all these people. 01:17:34 We need a center. 01:17:36 So, these people can come, they can learn and grow. 01:17:39 And I said, I'm sure we can raise that $ 100,000. 01:17:43 So, I looked over at Mr. Travis, 01:17:45 who hadn't said a word. 01:17:47 And he looked at me and he nodded his head. 01:17:49 He went. 01:17:51 And so, I looked at him and he just smiled. 01:17:54 He went, I said, don't you think Mr. Travis? 01:17:57 He said, now I know why the Lord impressed me 01:18:00 to come to Russia. 01:18:01 I'll give the $100,000. 01:18:05 Now, if that didn't give you some chill bumps. 01:18:07 Now you think about it. 01:18:09 The timing, God's timing, the blessing is on the go. 01:18:13 You go. 01:18:15 Because I stood outside the hotel 01:18:17 and I said, Lord, because that Psalms 2:8, 01:18:20 "Came to me, ask of me, 01:18:21 and I'll give you the heathen for thine inheritance, 01:18:23 and the uttermost parts of the earth 01:18:25 for thy possessions." 01:18:26 And I said, Lord, I'm standing on terra firma. 01:18:29 What can you do? 01:18:31 What are you going to do for us? 01:18:32 But we're here. We made it. 01:18:33 The blessing of God is on the go. 01:18:35 So here we did, we came. 01:18:41 Manny gave the money. 01:18:42 We ended up buying the facilities 01:18:45 after two or three years, 01:18:46 and we put a lot more money in it. 01:18:48 That facility 28, 01:18:50 29 years later is still bringing in souls 01:18:56 for the kingdom of God. 01:18:58 I could go on and on and on. I'm sorry. 01:19:00 Maybe I took too much time in the beginning, 01:19:02 but I want to let you know 01:19:04 that Jesus says 01:19:06 all powers given me in heaven and earth. 01:19:08 Then he says go, ye therefore. 01:19:10 Then He says, teaching them to observe all things 01:19:13 whatsoever I have commanded you. 01:19:15 And I believe as much as anything 01:19:18 that's teaching the Ten Commandments of God, 01:19:20 not nine of them, not eight of them, 01:19:22 not seven of them, because now in our church, 01:19:25 it seems like, and the Christian Church 01:19:27 we're forgetting about 01:19:28 the sixth and seventh commandments, 01:19:30 we don't want to talk about 01:19:31 those are not politically correct. 01:19:33 That's another sermon, but we have to stand up. 01:19:35 So, I want to promise you, do you give all God 01:19:38 the credit and you trust in Him. 01:19:40 You go forward when He impresses you to in ministry, 01:19:43 you stick to the message that He's called you. 01:19:46 Do not look to the left, do not look to the right. 01:19:49 Say, Lord, I will not compromise. 01:19:51 I'm going to do no matter how unpopular it is. 01:19:54 I promise you I'm going to preach the truth. 01:19:59 3ABN I can say this in spite of all of our failures, 01:20:02 those of you watching for years, 01:20:04 we've continued to preach and with, 01:20:06 by God's grace and through board members 01:20:08 that care and leadership like Greg and Jill 01:20:10 and others here, Pastor John, all of those 3ABN has, 01:20:14 is committed and will continue 01:20:17 is my promise to you to give an undiluted 01:20:20 three angel's messages, one would counteract 01:20:22 the counterfeit and to all the world. 01:20:25 I'm so thankful that we serve a God. 01:20:28 And I'm going to ask my wife Yvonne to come out right now. 01:20:31 Yvonne, I'm all excited here. 01:20:33 I'm sorry, maybe taken so much time, 01:20:36 but I want you to come out and sing for us. 01:20:39 And I've been talking about people going, 01:20:41 the blessing of God is on the go. 01:20:42 Yes. I will go. 01:25:18 Many of you can't physically get out. 01:25:20 You can't do some of the things you used to do, 01:25:23 but you can support 3ABN. 01:25:25 We're just going to ask you to pray and say, 01:25:27 Lord, what would you have me to do? 01:25:30 Because as you support 3ABN and all of us together, 01:25:33 joining hands together can reach a lost 01:25:35 and dying world before Jesus comes back. 01:25:38 And He's coming back very soon in the clouds of glory. 01:25:41 Yvonne, I'm wondering if you could take us out 01:25:43 with a closing prayer, or if you have a word before, 01:25:46 not, just pray for us. 01:25:48 Thank you so much for that message, 01:25:50 it's so inspiring to know that the Lord is with us 01:25:53 and His timing is perfect. 01:25:55 It is perfect.
