Hear praise the Lord. 08:15 As matter of fact, you know, you know what it says in the 08:17 book of Psalms someone 6 08:21 100 61st. 48 last said be the Lord God of Israel from 08:27 everlasting to everlasting and let all the people say 08:35 and praise the lot. 08:37 That's what it says in the world. A goat. 08:43 Once you come to a time when the Bible tells us 08:47 that the young prophet Jonah M 08:51 I heard the voice of the Lord will speaking to him and the 08:55 call of the day run. The Jona said the lot. 09:00 I have 09:01 a mission for you. 09:04 You must go to Nineveh 09:07 the capital of the Assyrian empire. 09:11 And as you walk, it's callous, heartless streets. 09:16 I want you to prophetically call out 09:19 and speak out against the wickedness I have seen in 09:24 Nineveh, 09:25 joy, not 09:27 I can no longer permit 09:30 the debauchery and corruption and never to continue. 09:35 I'm sending you with a message of warning and judgment. 09:40 I want you to tell the people of Minot 09:44 unless they repent, 09:46 destruction and ruin will come to this city. 09:51 Tell the people of amendment one 09:54 that they're beautiful. Metropoulos resting on the 09:58 fertile banks of the Tigris River 10:01 that vibrant and progressive city, Citgo of Commerce, 10:08 a bastion of intellectual prowess, 10:12 people of Minot 10:14 that because they a city full of lies and robbery. 10:20 A city overrun with crime and bloodshed. 10:25 No, I'm not talking about America talk but you talk about 10:28 a minute. 10:34 Tell them 10:36 I am sending you 10:38 with Alive. Day message of warning. 10:43 An urgent memoranda, 10:46 a fine prime message of mercy. 10:50 Hearing this directive from the lot. 10:53 Jonah mounted a vigorous protests. 10:57 He said a lot. 10:59 >> Not a number 11:01 anywhere else. 11:03 >> But men of a lot. I know none of a lot. You know, 11:06 none of 11:09 evangelize and Nineveh 11:12 is an exercise in futility. 11:17 Minerva will never change. The people who live there off 11:21 Harden been corrupt. They are in Morrow and their base. 11:26 Surely you have a plan B an alternate assignment for me. 11:30 Lord. Send someone else to Nevada. Gladly go anywhere. 11:34 You want me to go 11:36 except minute 11:39 a lot. I'm sorry to question your confidence in me as your 11:44 profit and mouthpiece. 11:46 I'm sorry that cast doubt upon the viability of your strategy 11:52 and the feasibility of your plans. But lot as I see it 11:56 never will never change 11:59 to my 9 Min. A vote is a lost cause law last year. Remember 12:04 the last crusade in Minot? 12:07 It did not view one baptism. 12:11 What's the use going back there? Again? The Bible tells 12:14 us that on his own 12:17 Jonah decided that since God was not changing his mind, 12:22 that he would take a position of opposition to this 12:26 impossible assignment from the law. 12:30 And that very day, 12:32 Jonah boarded the first ship you could find that was sailing 12:37 for a poor as fall away from men of he could go 12:43 the ship, the board. It was bound for toss us 12:46 now toss. This was a city 12:49 on the other side of Spain about 2000 miles away from it. 12:56 And Jonah was saying by his actions, 12:59 I don't care what God says. I'm going to run and rebellion 13:06 as far away from this assignment as I can 13:10 and the Bible says. And you can see there in the scripture, 13:12 Jonah, one verse 3, Jonah rolls up to 3 and a toss-up from the 13:18 presence of the Lord and went down to joppa and he found a 13:22 ship going to toss us. So he paid the fan there off and went 13:27 down into it to go with them on to touch us from the presence 13:33 of the low. 13:34 Now, notice twice in that scripture. The Bible says 13:38 that Jonah was running from the presence of the law. And here 13:45 the Bible is making it clear to us the absurdity of Jonah's 13:50 logic, the senselessness of Jonas Choice. The Bible tells 13:54 us Jonah was trying to to run from the presence of the law 14:00 and you can't run 14:03 from the presence of God 14:06 ever you run. 14:08 I can find you 14:11 look at what the Bible says. And second chronicles for the 14:13 eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole year. 14:20 Even the old slaves down South in America, they have moral 14:26 theology but accident. Then some theologians in seminaries 14:31 have on purpose. 14:35 Those all slaves used to say there are no hiding place down 14:41 here 14:45 and no hiding place down here. 14:49 I ran to the rocks. The had my face. The rocks cried out. 14:53 Hey, no hiding place. 15:00 And then someone. 39 7. David reminds us you can hide in 15:05 heaven and neither can you hide. And yeah, 15:08 look at the Somme one, 39, 7 with the show. I go from thy 15:13 spirit with the show live free from that presence. If I ascend 15:18 into heaven Dal out there, if I make my bed it 15:24 there you are even down in the depths of the sea. Your hand 15:27 will find me 15:28 even David Fit and another way he said you can hide in the 15:32 daylight 15:34 and you can hide in the night. Yes, that's what the models 15:36 someone. 39 ye that Doc, Miss Hyde, if not from the but the 15:41 night. 15:42 Come on on. Get Happy. Obama said the night 15:46 shining as the day the dock this and the light 15:51 both like to be 15:56 what a God you said. 15:58 That's what enemies 16:00 God's got their number 16:03 and he's got has their number. He knows where they are. 16:08 They can hide from him. 16:10 Another old N**** spiritual used to say this with all sent 16:12 a man to where you want to. 16:15 I know. I know I'm not. I'm trying to keep you all going 16:18 here 16:22 sent a man 16:24 when you go in front. 16:26 I thank God for those N**** spirituals, imagers specials. 16:29 You know, one reason I thank God for them because they were 16:33 American made. 16:36 Oh, yes. 16:38 Did you know that what 12 million slaves taken from 16:40 Africa? 2 million died in the journey. 10 million survive. 16:45 And of the 10 million 7 1 million went to Brazil. 16:49 Only 384,000 ever made it to the United States of America. 16:54 But you're not going to find spirituals in Brazil. 17:01 Do you understand what I'm saying? You're not going to 17:03 find N**** spirituals in the Caribbean. 17:06 You only find them right here. 17:10 American-made made in America. They say, 17:13 well, God knew exactly where Jonah was hiding. He knew what 17:16 ship Jonah was on. He knew where the ship was headed and 17:19 God decided 17:21 to walk a straight for Jonah, our rendezvous with one of his 17:26 aquatic 17:32 live via the ends, seagoing servants that along with saying 17:36 a big fish 17:39 and the Bible tells us that God calls the great wind to come up 17:42 on the C it temper so powerful, not even the sailors could hide 17:48 that. Terry, you know my friends, 17:51 you don't play with the sea. 17:54 Sailing is wonderful. 17:56 But let me tell you something else you don't play. He win the 17:59 seat. 18:01 It will you out into its depths. Look. So pretty. 18:04 So good and leave you shaking in Terre, even the best ships 18:09 with all the technology and sturdy construction, even the 18:14 best build ships, no match for the sea. 18:18 And I'm sure the captain of donors ship at weathered many 18:22 storms before. But there was something hellish about this 18:27 storm. 18:28 The lightning was crackling. The fund was peeling. The waves 18:33 seem to be a mile high 18:36 and above the howling of the wind is the captain screen. 18:39 Every man on debt. 18:41 Every man call on yoga to save the ship. 18:45 Friends. You know that a ship since trouble, you know, 18:48 ships in trouble when the captain is calling for prayer. 18:57 When grown men are crying like babies, 19:01 that ships in trouble were too heavy to captain shouted for 19:05 all the call, go overboard. And they did just that. But 19:08 still, the ship was in peril in danger. And suddenly one sailor 19:12 right up to the captain said, sir, 19:15 there's a man down here in the side of the ship 19:19 and we can explain it. 19:21 But he's sleeping. 19:23 Safeway. Did you say sleeping? The captain went and found 19:27 Jonah, walk him out. He said to Matt, how can you see in a 19:31 storm like this? Good and pray to you? Oh, God. 19:36 The gentile was asking Jonah to pray to the God he was running 19:40 from 19:44 and the Bible tells us the sailors became suspicious and 19:48 they drew lots and everything pointed to Jonah as the 19:52 causative factor behind the fury of the storm and they set 19:57 to join a so yeah. The one to blame for this storm. Are you 20:02 what country are you from? What is your nationality and 20:05 why are you on this ship? 20:08 And then a cogent moment of honest, candid up. 20:13 Jonah said I hear 20:15 and I'm a man running from Jehovah. 20:19 I'm running in rebellion from God. And if you want this to 20:24 strong to stop, you will just have to be overboard. If you 20:29 throw me off this ship, the billows will cease. The waves 20:34 will become tranquil and serene again. 20:37 And the Bible tells us enjoy no one verse 13 to sailors didn't 20:40 want to do it. But as the storm grew worse, they realize they 20:45 have no other choice and so enjoy one 15. The Bible says 20:50 they pick Jonah up, 20:52 lifted him off his feet, Swann, him back and forth. And with 20:58 that desperate, 21:00 yes, he day 3, Joan, out over the side of the ship, 21:07 Jonah went sailing. 21:09 Yeah. And as they fell into the water, 21:13 all of a sudden he heard a great short 21:18 and suddenly that was no water wrapped around his head. 21:23 Suddenly there was silence 21:26 doc, miss and golfed and consumed him. Jonah was in the 21:31 sea, but there was no warmer around him. 21:35 He was in the sea. But there was no. There were no waves to 21:40 drown him. Jonah realizes in the sea, but I'm still 21:44 breathing. 21:46 And then Jonah heard another rumbling, bellowing breathing, 21:52 sound like a horse blowing through his nostrils. He 21:59 and every so often, Jonah would feel a cold breeze of cold air 22:04 rushed over his body. And that's when it hit him that he 22:09 had been swallow by a monster of the sea. And that's when he 22:14 realized he was now in case in the bed of a of a great pitch. 22:21 The bottle says it this way. Now the law and that prepare, 22:24 agree, fish just swallow up. Jonah and Jonah 22:30 was in the belly of the fish 3 days. How long? 22:35 3 days. Thank you list. And 3 day. Yeah, 22:40 3 nights 22:41 now they're off the logins erudite 22:44 intellectuals, 22:47 skeptics who take issue with this account of Jonah in the 22:51 belly of a fish for 3 days. These learned scholars say it 22:55 is physically impossible for a man to be in the belly of a 23:00 fish with 3 days. You know what I say to them? 23:03 Would you like to know? 23:06 I say to them what God said to Joe, 23:10 were you when God laid the foundations of the year 23:15 and do you know the laws that govern not just all the 23:18 evidence, can you speak to the clouds and make it rain and 23:23 that will keep him quiet and continue on a, you know, 23:27 will the lightning the flash and what you're against 23:33 all? I got my my PhD from Harvard and Yale or impressive. 23:38 One more thing. Does the sun shine your decree? 23:44 Does the eagle soar at your command 23:47 friends that line of questioning silence job and it 23:51 will silence your critics too. 23:54 Let me tell you one reason why I believe 23:58 that Jonah was in the belly of that fish for 3 days like the 24:02 Bible says, 24:05 because 24:07 she's a said it happened 24:11 in the book of Matthew Jesus. For just this is what Jesus 24:15 said for just as Joe 24:20 was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the great fish. 24:25 So will the son of man the 3 days and 3 nights in the heart 24:30 of the year. So if you present me with the charts of all, 24:34 I'm going to believe 24:37 I'm going with Jesus. 24:39 That's what you say to those skeptical theologians. I'm I 24:43 going to believe you or Jesus 24:46 and then at and then after that to you again, 24:53 I'm going to take the word of Jesus over any theologians any 24:56 day, 24:59 too many people try to bully you 25:02 when they don't believe me 25:03 when they 25:05 don't believe the way you Billy, 25:10 I will always be indebted to my friend and mentor Elden the 25:13 Marshal Kelly 25:15 for something he talked May before he died. 25:18 He showed me a scripture that is up constant reminder to me. 25:22 You need not fear any man. When you fear Gaw 25:27 the scripture he gave me as a reminder 25:30 is a reminder that no matter how rich 25:34 all passing 25:36 or educated off famous, a man is 25:41 one day. 25:45 I said one day 25:47 that Richman will show his last morsel. 25:52 >> One day 25:54 that path home and will breathe his last breath. 25:58 I don't care if he lives in the White House. 26:01 All you know how much 26:04 he made on thousands of acres of land. But 26:07 >> like I heard a wise man who supports the 3ABN, ministry say 26:11 one day, he said, I wonder what the price of real estate was 26:15 just before the flood. 26:19 When Jesus comes all the land. You all know me nothing. 26:25 So at no matter how people try to intimidate you or rail and 26:30 bluster, they may rang and threaten. 26:32 >> You need not fear any man when you fear God, because my 26:38 God says that one day his lips will be cold and silent. 26:45 His brains and bowels will not work. 26:50 >> Or you didn't hear what I just said. 26:53 So yes, they might hit rocks. They may have a laugh. No need 26:57 to fear. They may tell rise and intimidate. No need to fear. 27:01 You need not fear any man when you fear gone. 27:05 And here's why. He's while Kelly gave me the script for 27:08 his work on says 27:10 Isaiah 51 verse 12 Gotsis. I even I am he that comfort to 27:16 you? 27:19 You should ever be afraid of a man that shout out. 27:28 But you should ever be afraid of the sun. A man 27:32 one day be made as grass. 27:36 Oh, I better get back to the story of Joan. I'm getting 27:40 the Bible says and Jonah to verse one, 27:43 then join a parade 27:45 unto the Lord. He's gone 27:50 fish's belly. 27:53 And from the belly of that fish, 27:55 Jonah prayed and listen to expert. He said I cried by 27:59 reason of mine affliction unto the Lord 28:03 and he heard me 28:06 out of the belly up. 28:09 I cry 28:10 and Gaw her, my friend, my voice friends. Aren't you glad 28:15 God can hear your cry 28:17 for salvation from the belly of Hail, 28:21 Highland, New York, aren't you glad God can hear you cry for 28:25 salvation from the barely out of h***. 28:31 Look at what my favorite writers White says 28:35 to every sincere prayer, God and says here am I 28:41 every sincere prayer gotten says here, my 28:45 he uplifts the distress and down problem in all of our 28:49 affliction see is reflected in every temptation and every 28:52 trial. While the angel of his presence is near to deliver a 28:57 man. 28:59 Did you know that? You know what else she says? She says 29:02 the prayer that ascends from a broken and contrite heart is 29:06 never disregard it. 29:12 It is. She says it is as sweet music in the years. A lot of 29:17 relief all the for. He wants to be store upon us. The fullness 29:22 of his blessing. Somebody save me. 29:26 She says the prayer. 29:28 Let's check this out. The prayer of the sincere heart 29:33 offer in Faye 29:35 will be heard in heaven. 29:38 It may not be grammatically correct. 29:43 Such Jesus got me. 29:46 It may not be grammatically correct. But if the heart is in 29:49 it, 29:51 it will ascend to the sanctuary. 29:54 >> Where Jesus ministered us 29:58 and he will present it. He will present. 30:02 >> The prayer to the father without one awkward stammering 30:06 word that prayer will be graceful and 30:11 act. 30:16 Some better serve you. 30:21 >> There will be graceful and a half thick through his merit 30:26 for his righteousness, refines, our prayers and nobles prayers 30:33 and make them acceptable before the fall. 30:38 >> And you asked me why I just read Ellen Way. 30:45 I will tell you something about might writings 30:50 all kinds of office, 30:52 contemporary 30:54 old office. 30:55 God gave white an unusual style of writing. 31:00 Let me tell you what it is. 31:01 You can read any of her writings, 31:04 almost every sentence or every other sentence is a quote from 31:09 OK 31:13 and put it up on a wall and it will inspire 31:17 no weather I have ever read. He's written in that manner. 31:22 And so when I re I re writings and I show them, can I go back 31:25 to that quote, that last one cannot go back to it. So you'll 31:28 understand you can put this up on your wall. The prayer of the 31:32 sincere park often in faith will be heard in heaven. 31:37 It may not be grammatical, but if the heart is in, it was sent 31:41 to the sanctuary where Jesus ministers and he would present 31:45 it to the father without one f word, stammering word, graceful 31:50 and parse that through his merit for his righteousness. 31:54 He's come on some about are his. 31:56 >> He's right. Just miss refunds. Pres. 32:05 I just know this is our prayer. 32:14 >> I thought 32:16 so I keep what I call my inch separate file. I NCH S I B 32:24 my white inch sub 5. You know what it stands for its sense 32:27 for and CHRB. I never could have said it better. 32:35 A man 32:38 friends there in the belly of the whale. 32:41 Jonah, blessed us 32:43 with more than just a prayer of repentance. 32:47 They're in the belly of that where 32:49 join up. Blessed us with a powerful truth. A proclamation 32:54 of one of the most powerful promises in all of scripture. 33:00 He is a mine up profit with a major word. 33:05 >> It's a glorious sermon in 5 words us from the belly of the 33:10 whale. 33:11 It is a magnificent homily and 7 syllables from the belly of 33:15 the whale. 33:17 Jonah preaches a sermon that every generation needs to hear 33:22 from the belly of dead fish. Jonah declares the one chase 33:27 every cent for men. 33:29 >> And needs to hear. And it is that's out of a shame. Comes 33:36 from God alone. 33:41 A promise from the belly of a whale 33:45 salvation 33:47 comes from the Lord alone. No matter the situation you are 33:52 in right now, my brother, my sister, 33:55 you all sound patients will come from the Lord alone. 34:01 You may have cancer. 34:04 Y'all salvation 34:07 will come from gone. 34:09 Jonah said from the belly of that way, salvation is of the 34:12 Lord. You may have a heart issues. You may have trouble on 34:17 every side. Your salvation will come from the Lord. You may be 34:22 drowning in debt. 34:25 You may be drowning and depression. 34:29 You may be shackled by a habit of sin. All I've got good news. 34:37 >> From all places, 34:44 I've got good news from the belly of a fish 34:49 salvation. 34:51 >> It's not the law 34:54 man can never rest to you like God can rescue. You 34:59 asked Moses at the Red Sea. He said on to the people fear 35:03 he would not stand still salvation is awful. The 35:08 Egyptians when you have seen this day, you will see them no 35:12 way. 35:17 I remember reading I think it was spread of prophecy where 35:19 she said, you know, you know how God got the Egyptian army 35:23 and trouble in the middle of the Red Sea. 35:26 She said he took the wheels off their chariots 35:33 hosts. Lauren Army down now 35:37 one day got to the jazz. They all say to Judah and Kings 35:41 are you shall not need to fight in this battle set, you'll 35:44 sell, stand still and see 35:50 the salvation of the law when Hezekiah pray, Lord, I don't 35:54 want to die. Please let me live here. Got sent the prophet. 35:58 Isaiah tells the guy the God had given him 15. He is more of 36:03 light because salvation. 36:06 It was a lot 36:08 when Daniel was thrown into a den of Lions got answered his 36:12 prayer as the law fans were afflicted with the medical. 36:16 I will give you a medical term Christmas. I didn't know what 36:19 it felt like Christmas but it's Christmas. You know what 36:22 Christmas is La Joe 36:27 and the Lions were afflicted with chestnuts Lockjaw. Haha 36:36 is on the law. 36:38 When the son of the woman Elijah was staying with when 36:41 that sun died, Elijah stretch himself over that did the job 36:45 and the child revived because salvation is on the law when 36:51 Hezekiah was surrounded by some that were given his army on all 36:55 the more awful than his own. 36:57 >> He prayed a prayer that is dear to my heart, the 5th and 37:01 the Chi. This is a day of trouble. 37:04 >> And review and left for me for the children come to the 37:08 best and there is not strength to bring for them. Has a cop or 37:13 a lot safer rent. 37:19 He played a prayer shaved. The resentment that I left and 37:22 that night 185,000, a Syrian soldiers die 37:29 because salvation 37:33 is of the law. 37:35 And then David 37:36 David reminding his people psalm 27 verse. One, though, 37:40 is my light 37:42 and my salvation. 37:46 So a lot of fear. 37:48 And in psalm 51 burst. Tenney said create in me a clean 37:52 heart. Oh, God renew a right spirit. And Meek asked me not 37:57 away from that presidents and take not thy holy spirit from 38:02 me. And then what it is a resort 38:05 on to me 38:08 the chore 38:10 of our salvation and hold me without free spirit. And in my 38:13 life in my life and my walk with God, 38:16 I've often prayed. Another prayer of celebration from 38:19 David in Psalm 69. Maybe you've prayed that threat too. Save me 38:25 old au 38:26 for the waters to come into my salon. Sinking in deep mire 38:32 where there's no place to stand. The floods overflow me. 38:36 I'm wary of my crying. Yeah. It felt like that 38:41 you ever been to that place, 38:44 Mike? I'm wary of my crying. My throat is patch. He said and 38:49 then he said law and maybe you don't know this experience but 38:52 some people know what it's like. 38:55 Gray Davis, a law that hate me, 38:58 Obama him some money. 39:09 They that would destroy me 39:12 it and Davis a God. You know my foolishness. 39:16 You have been there 39:18 or I'm talking to somebody. I want you to be real today. 39:22 God, you know, my foolishness. Many said my sons are not 39:26 hidden from me. It's a prayer of salvation. And an off-script 39:29 of the Bible tells us enjoy the 2 verse one. Then Jonah prayed 39:33 unto the Lord is God out of the fish's belly. And then the 39:37 Bible says and the lot 39:42 10 chapter to the long spent up to the fish, 39:48 vomiting it out. 39:50 Jonah, 39:51 I call on the dry land. 39:55 So you know what I thought when I read that? 39:59 >> I believe Jonah will tell you himself sometimes when God 40:04 delivers you, 40:05 it might be a little messy. 40:12 Talk to me. Somebody. 40:14 It might even be fish, swam and messy. 40:19 But that's all right, because I'm also very shot 40:25 is of the law. 40:27 >> Some law says that the prophets and kings it was there 40:30 in the belly of the whale that last Jonah prayed and when 40:34 Jonah pray, he learned 40:37 where he prayed he learned. 40:41 Has that tell you something 40:44 when we play 40:49 when we play 40:52 and that Salvation. 40:56 Thank you. Jesus. 40:58 When salvation came to Jonah, she said he was released from 41:02 the perils of the Mighty D was cast upon the dry land 41:07 when he prayed 41:09 and fend off acts chapter 2 verse. 21, it shall come to 41:14 pass. That also have shall call on the name, 41:22 shall we say? 41:24 I believe the Lord wants everyone under the sound of my 41:27 voice 41:29 to be saved in his king. 41:32 He wants you to have a crown of life 41:34 if you want it 41:36 and I couldn't close to someone without telling you 41:41 and has a range hit. 41:43 So that all sounds variation 41:46 com's through a gift. All grace. 41:51 And I found that Scripture Titus chapter 2 verse 11. 41:55 The Bible says for the grace I'm gone. 42:00 >> Brings salvation 42:05 the grace, 42:09 salvation to all men. It is through grace. 42:14 >> But we all say by grace, I use a diffusion is to through 42:18 faith and not of yourself. It is the gift of God. So grace 42:22 is the Paula from God that stoops down to lift us up. 42:27 And today as I close, I want to thank God that my salvation 42:31 comes through grace and not through any righteousness of my 42:36 own. 42:41 >> There's nothing I can do to earn it. 42:44 There's nothing I can do to really earn it 42:48 a man. 42:53 >> Ashe Foundation comes to grace and then Galatians one 15 42:56 when a police dog who separated me from my mother's womb and 43:01 call me by his grace to reveal his son in me. So that means my 43:09 salvation. 43:10 Just a post-op, 43:12 salvation is not just being rescued. 43:17 Salvation. 43:21 3 things, rescue, 43:24 redemption 43:27 and restoration. 43:30 He rescued you 43:33 so he could restore you. 43:38 He rescued you so he could change. So the character of 43:43 price can be revealed. In new friends, the power of grace and 43:47 the purpose of grace is to transform us and restart us so 43:52 that we can resemble reflect, reveal the character of God. 43:56 So if you want to ask God to save you, 43:59 if you want to ask dog to restore you 44:03 tonight's your night, 44:06 Hallelujah. 44:10 Want to tell you some of the store before close 44:13 in 14, 99, 44:17 Michelangelo was commission 44:20 to create 44:22 the most beautiful work of marble 44:27 in wrong. 44:30 Something so perfect that no living artists 44:34 could do it better. 44:36 And he created what many believe 44:40 is his greatest creation. 44:44 It was called Michelangelo's Piet. 44:49 It's a beautiful thing. 44:51 It's a depiction of Mary 44:53 holding the lifeless body of Jesus in her lap 44:58 after he was taken down off of the cross. 45:02 Not no matter how awesome 45:05 your work is. 45:07 Do you know somebody will find something to criticize about 45:14 anybody? Know what I'm talking about? 45:16 No matter how pretty your song, 45:20 no matter how wonderful your dinner, 45:26 somebody will always be able to find something. 45:29 So Michelangelo was criticized for making merry look so young 45:34 holding her. 33 year-old son, 45:38 his answer to his critics was 45:41 virtuous women. Stay looking fresh and young. 45:52 The piano is the only work of art. 45:56 The Bears, Michelangelo signature. 46:01 He didn't put his signature on anything else. 46:04 And in 1972, 46:06 a man attacked 46:08 and defaced Michelangelo's Piazza in Rome 46:14 with 12 goals of 46:18 he knocked off. Mary's left arm, 46:21 snapped off the tip of her nose, damage to cheek and left 46:26 eye. 46:28 It was a savage attack 46:31 on a priceless work of art. 46:34 Well, the controversy and discussion ranged in the art 46:37 world. 46:39 Should they leave in the face 46:42 or should they re Stuart? 46:44 And the decision was made, 46:47 we must restore it. 46:49 They use the process, call him to grow restoration. 46:53 Integral restoration is a process that leaves no visible 46:58 traces of damage, 47:00 all restoration. It took more than 5 months to identify 47:06 all the little fragments. Some of the pieces were the 47:10 size of a fingernail. 47:12 And then it took another 6 months 47:16 using what's called invisible bloom 47:19 to put it all back together. And when they went through, 47:23 it was almost impossible to tell 47:26 that the sculpture had ever been vandalized on the face. 47:32 Well, in 1980, 47:35 8 years later, 47:38 my wife Linda and I were standing in that chapel 47:42 Malvo, 47:44 Michelangelo's Piazza 47:47 completely restore. 47:50 Well, I want you to know 47:52 when God created us 47:57 when God made out of money 48:02 created his greatness masterpiece. 48:08 >> From the dust of the ground, 48:11 God created a perfect image of himself. 48:17 The masterpiece God created 48:20 was not made out of marble 48:25 and the skin and bones. 48:29 It was a masterpiece of flesh and blood. 48:33 The servant of the Lord says that when a man was created in 48:36 the likeness of God, 48:38 not only were we created like God inform and feature, 48:44 but more importantly, she says we were created with his 48:48 nature. 48:50 We were created in his likeness. 48:53 We were created with his character 48:57 and gone 49:00 his signet job, his law 49:03 upon every human heart. 49:07 And so it was 6,000 years ago 49:10 the artistry of Gahl 49:13 was viciously attacked by Satan in the guard. Maybe 49:18 the image, Kyra, to God and man was damage. It was defaced. 49:26 7 of Gall says send not only defaced 49:30 it almost it left to right, Ted, the divine image in man, 49:36 the whole universe looking on 100 men and good to be restored 49:43 and could be saved. 49:46 But my gone had a plan. 49:50 God's plan of salvation was not just 2. 49:54 >> Rescue at Reedy. It was also to Re star us. 50:04 >> Into his light manse 50:06 and into his Kyra, to and not just restart us to look like we 50:11 have never been damage. But to read the Bible says change vile 50:17 bodies to look like his glorious body 50:21 to take this damage morkel farm and restore it to him, 50:27 corruption and immortality. And today we thank God 50:33 for Jesus. 50:36 Only one who could take this masterpiece that had become and 50:41 and polluted by Sen and then restarted into its internal 50:46 brilliance 50:49 celebration 50:51 is all of them all. 50:53 I mean, Jesus, 50:55 good for me. All blemishes. 51:00 Only Jesus, 51:03 the fix, all of your former tease 51:07 or start off so that we are. 51:09 >> Perfect and beautiful. And the mortal again. 51:15 Did you know about the life we lived through the grace of 51:17 price? 51:19 His character is formed in us. 51:24 And so today, I don't know you all 51:26 where you come from. 51:28 I don't know who's listening, 51:32 but if you want Jesus to do that for you, 51:36 not just to rescue you, 51:40 not just to read to you, 51:44 but to restore you 51:47 into his image 51:50 and like this. 51:54 I want you to bow your heads with me. 52:00 Thank you. Lord. 52:03 Salvation 52:05 is of the law 52:08 through his grace. We overcome 52:12 heiress, 52:14 our sins, 52:17 our imperfections of character. 52:21 We watch all rooms and the blood of the lamb 52:28 and the weakest among us 52:32 can be restored to strength. 52:38 We borrow hits today 52:42 and we asked that you would do 52:44 for us 52:47 what you have promised. 52:50 She would restore us 52:53 into your image 52:54 and likeness 52:56 and that we will resemble 52:59 reflect and review your character. Again, 53:04 those of you who is head to bottom as to close, 53:08 I want to do something unusual today. If you really mean it 53:10 with all your heart, 53:13 you want gaut to rescue you. 53:16 You believe salvation is of the Lord. You one brought to redeem 53:20 you. 53:22 You believe salvation is of the Lord and you were brought to 53:25 restore you. 53:27 I want to invite you to stand on your feet 53:30 right now where you are. 53:35 >> What you do, singer song with me to Jesus. 53:42 >> To our food 53:57 [MUSIC] 54:02 [MUSIC] 54:12 [MUSIC] 54:17 [MUSIC] 54:22 [MUSIC] 54:27 [MUSIC] 54:32 [MUSIC] 54:37 [MUSIC] 54:48 >> you know, John Newton one said that when we get to 54:50 heaven, 54:52 there will be 3 wonders there. 54:56 The first one that will be. 55:00 >> Those who were supposed to be there 55:03 won't be there. 55:04 [MUSIC] 55:06 And those who are not supposed to be there. 55:10 You're going to see them there. 55:14 He said, but the greatest wonder will be 55:17 that you're there. 55:19 [MUSIC] 55:24 The rate is one that will be 55:28 sure there. 55:29 [MUSIC] 55:31 Father, we praise you.
