The Holy Spirit is going 01:12 to use him today. I know it. He will come up early this 01:15 morning and I'm excited to hear what the Holy Spirit has to 01:18 share with us from the book of Hosea. But before that, 01:21 Celestin Dickens will be singing. He's been faithful. 01:24 [MUSIC] 01:29 [MUSIC] 01:34 [MUSIC] 01:39 [MUSIC] 01:43 >> He knew my name. 01:46 >> Means 01:48 through live, too. 01:51 If we see 01:53 [MUSIC] 01:57 who's to blame 01:58 [MUSIC] 02:04 and minds 02:07 was 02:09 [MUSIC] 02:12 how do you solve them? 02:14 [MUSIC] 02:17 He's proved to be too. 02:19 [MUSIC] 02:25 >> And the womb. 02:27 >> He's promised 02:30 just to 02:34 one was soon. Praise God. He's been faithful. 06:27 So all of us, 06:29 it's so good to be here. It can be done in person, 06:31 isn't that? 06:33 And the Lord has been a blessing. Our meetings. I just 06:36 have to start by doing one quick thing here. Before we 06:40 I take off on an airplane. They always say put your phone 06:44 in 06:46 airplane mode yass and my wife wants me to do that at night. 06:51 Before we go to bed, she tells me, you know, you put your 06:53 phone in airplane mode. So I thought 06:56 just in case someone tries to call me one preachy, 07:00 oh, God is talking to us. It would be really good for me. 07:04 That answer my phone right in the middle of a certain would 07:06 net 07:08 or any of us to answer phones, walkouts, talking the loudest 07:16 so I thought would be good for us. 07:19 We are looking at 07:22 the major is of the miners. You like that title? 07:27 I really appreciate that because it reminds us. But even 07:31 though these are minor profits, they have some major things to 07:33 tell us. 07:35 And a lot of times we can be distracted by the world, 07:40 buy these little devices, you know, and we can miss what God 07:44 wants to communicate to us. 07:46 So hopefully during this Sabbath week, 07:50 you know, you feel like its 7th almost every day, don't you? 07:53 During the 7th week we're going to be listening for the voice 07:57 of God through the minor prophets. I have the privilege 08:02 you're sharing with you from the book off, Jose a 08:06 and before we study I've into that book, let's just have a 08:09 ward of prayer together. Father and have a nice want to 08:11 thank you this morning for this opportunity to study your word 08:15 with your people here at 3 being. Can't me want to thank 08:18 you for the messages that were delivered last night by brother 08:22 with me and by Jake Elmore and 08:26 emphasis that salvation is of the Lord and that God is love. 08:31 Your love for us is unchanging 08:33 and father. We want to continue in the spirit of those 08:36 messages. We want to understand 08:39 the book of Hosea. We want to comprehend the message you're 08:42 communicating to us today and there's so much there. We're 08:44 not going to understand it all, but we pray that the holy 08:47 spirit will enlighten our minds and our hearts and you'll speak 08:50 to us individually. Speak to me, speak to each one here. 08:53 Father. This is your time. We giving it to you. 08:56 We're here for you. We don't want to be distracted by 08:58 anything else. Right now. We know the devil is in the 09:00 distractions, but you are into communicating directly with our 09:05 hearts and join us to have. And so far they help us to stay 09:08 focused on Jesus right now. Speak to us to the Holy Spirit. 09:12 We pray in Jesus name. Amen. 09:16 Hosea Chapter one and verse one. You know, the context of 09:21 this book is pretty powerful. It's one of the 12 minor 09:26 prophets stretching over a 400 year period from the present, 09:31 a period of the northern and Southern Kingdoms of Israel to 09:34 the post exit like period from about 800 BC to about 400 BC 09:41 the exile. That's what that means. Exhibit the exile when 09:44 the Northern Kings were exiled by the Syrians and the Southern 09:47 Kingdoms of Judah and engine were exiled by the babylonians. 09:52 And with the exception of Jonah and NE ham and obadiah, these 09:57 minor prophets spoke to the tribes of Israel and their 10:02 message is so with more messages of judgment, messages 10:05 of hope and messages of Covenant Salvation, Covenant 10:10 Salvation. So these minor prophets not only spoke for 10:15 God, they spoke of God. 10:18 They shared about God and his great love for his people. 10:24 So each book each solemn message 10:27 our spring cold with the Seeds of Salvation, 10:32 the seas of salvation of the everlasting Gospel, God's 10:34 covenant loved. He longs to have take root in our hearts 10:40 and transform us. 10:41 We're going to be looking at the theme, a faithful husband 10:47 and my wife. And I've been there. They think she might 10:49 have mentioned for 33 years. We're working on 34. And that's 10:55 why have glasses now because we're working on 34. And 11:02 in that in the context of of that relationship, I've learned 11:06 a lot about what it means to be a faithful husband. And most of 11:09 that, I have learned from God's faithfulness to us. All right, 11:14 the way that he is faithful to us in spite of ourselves and 11:20 the failures that we have. And that's what we're going to 11:22 be emphasizing here actually look at 3 points. What does it 11:25 mean that God is faithful? What does that mean biblical? 11:30 You've got his faithful. Number 2. What does God awaken 11:34 us? His people or sees me? How does got awaken us his 11:38 people to his faithfulness? So what does it mean that he's 11:41 faithful? And then how is he awake in us to his 11:44 faithfulness? And then number 3, how does God remain faithful 11:50 to a faceless people? 11:52 How does Governor Main faithful to a faceless people? How does 11:55 that work? 11:57 The book is named after its offer oppose it. 12:02 And Jose is identical to the last King of Israel. He said 12 12:08 tribes of Northern Kingdom Hall Shay, but the English 12:13 translators spell that differently just for the 12:16 purpose of distinction. So once those ones will ship, that's 12:18 really the same root word. And it's just interesting. 12:22 You probably know this, Jose. A is in the right word. The 12:29 same as Joshua in the Old Testament and Jesus in the new. 12:35 They're all derive from the same. Hebrew word. Whoa. 12:37 Share. Which means deliverer 12:41 or imply salvation, right? They should call his name Jesus 12:45 40. She'll save his people from their since. 12:47 However, the names of Joshua Jesus, including additional he 12:52 breached. That translates y'all way is to deliver or young way 12:56 is salvation. 12:58 So it's God's Messenger. Jose, offer salvation to the 13:02 nation by present team 13:05 the goodness of God. 13:06 So he doesn't 13:08 the goodness of God. And that goodness is presented to the 13:12 nation of Israel, specifically the northern tribes. That 13:16 goodness is present 13:17 as God be a faithful husband and gods. Faithfulness stands 13:23 in sharp contrast to his people who are like an end to an 13:27 unfaithful wife. 13:29 So God's faithfulness, despite our unfaithfulness, that's the 13:33 same power in the New Testament. That turns us from 13:37 idolatry got its the goodness of God that leads us to 13:40 repentance. And that's Romans chapter 13:47 2 and verse for. That's right on this. Have to restore me to 13:49 give you a lot of these references, you know, because I 13:53 really believe that we need to become familiar with our bibles 13:56 if we're not already or recently with our Bible, 13:59 someone to throw a lot of these references out, you hoping that 14:02 you will respond and give me the reference that we're 14:04 talking about. So the 12 tribes of Israel 14:08 now for the 12 tribes of Israel, this message of God's 14:11 faithfulness to an unfaithful people was actually 14:17 rejected. 14:19 They rejected it. 14:21 Now Jose is a contemporary 14:23 of Isaiah. 14:25 If you read Isaiah one verse wanting you, Jose one verse 14:28 one, you can find a live at the same time. 14:30 And Jose was speaking to the 12 more than tried the 10 northern 14:34 tribes and I said began speaking to the 2 southern 14:38 tribes to Judah and Benjamin. And you want to find that hoses 14:44 message was rejected and eventually Isaiah's message 14:47 which rejected it took longer for the southern tribes to 14:51 Jack. They were more conservative. They were the 14:53 more conservative brethren, right? They were the ones that 14:56 would come to the 3, a B in can't meeting. And and, you 15:00 know, they hung out with more. The more conservative read 15:02 them. So it took them a little bit longer. 15:05 But but the bottom line is both of these profits gave a message 15:09 that was rejected 15:11 by the people 15:13 of the Old Testament times. And so I'm just praying this 15:17 morning that God will show us a picture of himself in a 15:22 faithful husband that we will not reject a message that we 15:26 will not reject today because in revelation, Chapter 19 has 15:30 held a gala more pointed out last night. There's a there's a 15:33 verse there in the early 19. This is the bride has made 15:36 herself ready. The marriage of the land has come for the 15:38 bridesmaid yourself ready, 15:40 right? So God has a message for us. He's bringing that message 15:46 from the Old Testament. He's compiling it with the New 15:48 Testament to prepare us for the wedding. 15:54 The team in purpose of this am 15:57 well, that's going to demonstrate the steadfast 15:59 faithfulness of God to Israel in spite of their continual 16:02 unfaithfulness and and through Jose is marital experience. 16:08 Can you imagine 16:10 the prophet of God, you know, to be a prophet of God, you've 16:13 got to be a little above everyone else. Write your 16:16 profit after off. You've got to have your life together. 16:19 You've got all your ducks in a row. You got to make sure that 16:22 you are, you know, wearing a suit and tie 16:26 everyone else that can mean and you can wear collared or, 16:29 you know, on buttoned or even shorts that. But if you're a 16:32 prophet, you've got to wear a suit and tie, right? Are you 16:35 following me? 16:36 Go and marry a harlot? 16:43 I mean, I don't even know if I could calm. I I don't even know 16:46 if I can wrap my mind around that. 16:49 Go and marry a harlot. 16:51 In other words, 16:52 God's profits were at times called to illustrate 16:58 the relationship between God and his people. You know, 17:02 Ezekiel was called to do some pretty. And I'm not sure if I'd 17:05 want to see kills. Call our want hoses, call united, 17:09 say 17:10 one's a physical thing of eating don. 17:14 And the other one is this a spiritual on lets us in an 17:18 emotional thing 17:19 of marrying a woman who is a faithful, you know, ahead of 17:21 time. 17:24 And yet God's heart is breaking for his people. And that's what 17:29 Jose as he can illustrate 17:31 my heart is breaking for you in your unfaithfulness. It hurts 17:35 me. It hurts me emotionally. Her to be mentally hurts me 17:38 spiritually her speed every way. This is what God is trying 17:41 to communicate. 17:42 This hurts me. 17:45 This is painful. This is not easy for me. 17:51 Through hoses, mayoral experience 17:54 is revealing his heart of love and compassion. And he's 17:58 revealing himself as one who wants to bless us people. 18:01 He wants to give them a knowledge of himself in the 18:03 knowledge he's giving them is that got hurts with us. We're 18:09 not the only ones hurting in this relationship. 18:11 The God's heart is drawn out in our sin and waywardness 18:18 and got 18:19 intimately desires us to know that about him. You know why? 18:23 Because in John Chapter 17 verse 3, we're told 18:27 this is life eternal that we might. I know him. 18:31 And sometimes we see got his car harden and, you know, 18:35 untouchable and he's up there somewhere. He's he's strong and 18:39 he's 18:41 we don't always see him as one with us whose touch with the 18:44 feelings of our infirmities, right? That's what Jesus came 18:48 to show us about his father. 18:51 So in keeping with this purpose, the theme of Hosea has 18:54 the strong testimony against the Northern Kingdom because 18:58 they've been unfaithful to the covenant relationship with the 19:01 Lord 19:02 and was demonstrated in widespread corruption and moral 19:05 life publicly. Privately, there are all kinds of things going 19:09 on 19:10 in the church 19:13 in Jose's day 19:15 today. Of course, none of that's happening. But, you 19:17 know, it's it's day it was a problem. So the prophet seeks 19:21 to get his countrymen to repent to return with con trite hearts 19:26 to this patient ever loving father. And this is presented 19:32 from the standpoint of 19:34 you always loved the Israel. You always love. That's why 19:38 over and over again in the book of Isaiah, you have some form 19:41 of the word harlot or adulterer or adult re taking place 19:46 because God's faithful love to an unfaithful woman is the 19:51 basic 19:52 key 19:54 to this book. 19:55 Now, there are some chapters here that really hone in on 19:59 Christ as our Savior. I want to just give you a few references 20:04 so that when you go to status book, you can see that the 20:06 overall theme is directing us to Jesus. It's not directing us 20:10 to the failures of the church is not directing us. 20:13 2 prophecies. Those are all important that our you know, 20:17 having to do it in time. Events like the Assyrians are 20:19 going to common. Take you a captive, but it's f-king us, 20:23 too. Focusing us are directing us to prophecies that all about 20:27 Jesus. 20:28 And really, that's what prophecy is all about. 20:31 You know, John, Chapter 13 verse 19, you can write that 20:34 down in John Chapter 14 verse. 29, you know, I've told you 20:38 before it comes to pass when it comes to pass as prophecy, 20:41 you might believe it. Prophecy is really all about Jesus. 20:45 And the whole point of warning about the answer crisis to warn 20:48 us about someone who's trying to take the place of Jesus in 20:51 our lives, right? We want only Jesus to be the 5th focus for 20:57 all of us. 20:59 And so what we see here in those is, for example, has a 21:02 chapter 11 verse. One 21:05 Hosea predicts the Messiah being presented as the son of 21:09 that God is going to call out of Egypt. That's in Jose 11 21:13 verse one and it's going to be references. I'm not going to 21:15 turn to them. And then you've got 21:17 Jose, if 13 verse 4, 21:21 the save your the only savior of the world has revealed that 21:24 I got says on the only one that can save you. 21:27 And then you've got Jose Chapter 13 verse 14. Has God be 21:32 the only one who can rassam us from the dead 21:35 and I love this about the Gospel. We have no reason to 21:40 fear death. Sometimes we get all overwhelmed by the idea of 21:44 death and facing death. We have no death is simply a doorway 21:47 into eternity. Got us turning death into a sleep for those 21:51 who believe in him. 21:52 So are moment of rest in the gray for us. If we die a moment 21:57 of rest of the day for our loved ones, they're going to 21:59 miss us for a while. We don't know how long. But for us, 22:02 we know nothing but the second coming of Jesus Christ, that's 22:06 what we just stepping right into that. We have no need to 22:08 fear death 22:09 and God has ransomed us from the dead. 22:12 And then in Verse 11 chapter, excuse me, Chapter 11, verse 4 22:17 as one who loves us with great compassion 22:20 and verse one chapter 6 of those one of my favorite 22:25 verses. And I think Brian is going to be or no. Kenny Pastor 22:28 Shelton Shelton to be talking about this as one who heals us 22:33 and heals all those who are turn on to him 22:36 come let us return unto the Lord 22:39 Frias torn and he will heal us. 22:41 He has spent and he will 22:43 find us out. 22:45 What does it mean that God is faithful? Let's look in 22:48 Deuteronomy chapter 7 versus 9.10 Deuteronomy chapter 7 22:52 versus 9.10. 22:54 This is the first verse in the Bible that clearly finds got as 22:57 the faithful got. So the first place in the Bible we have got 23:01 defined as the faithful. God is in Deuteronomy chapter 23:04 7, 9, 10. And we'll go there and we'll just look at what it 23:07 means when it says God is faithful because we can we can 23:11 come up with all kinds of ideas. You know, God is love. 23:13 And then we take that word, you know, in society today. And we 23:16 just we just last mother it with all kind of world, the 23:20 ideas and interpretations, right? God is love. That means 23:23 that he loves everyone no matter what they do about how 23:26 they live and we don't need to worry about status anymore 23:28 because God is love. Yeah, well, that's not actually what 23:31 the Bible says when it talks about got the love, right? 23:35 What does the Bible means when it says God is faithful, 23:38 OK, know, therefore that the Lord, thy God, he's got 23:45 faithful got I so there we have. This is going to help us 23:49 understand what it means. The faithful got again, really 23:52 from Deuteronomy 7 versus 9, which keeps covered it and 23:55 mercy with them that love in and keep his commands to 1000 23:59 generations. I love that. You know, 1000 is the largest 24:04 number in the Bible. 24:06 There's no million. There's no trillion. There's no billion in 24:08 the Bible. When God gets big in the Bible. He says 1000 times 24:12 10, thousands and thousands and thousands. That's why the 24:15 144,000 is not a small number in the Bible. The 144,000 is a 24:20 big number in the Bible, right? But but we many times we look 24:25 at this and we thank all of a nun, a look. God keeps covenant 24:30 relationship to 1000 generations that just in fun. 24:35 And in the context of the Bible, I just infinite. 24:39 Then it says in verse 10, notice this. 24:42 We still talking about what it means that God is the faithful 24:44 God and repays them that hate him 24:48 to their face 24:50 to destroy them. 24:51 He will not be slack to him. The hated him. He will repay 24:55 him to his face. 24:58 That's what it means. The goddess the faithful got. 25:01 And you know, the good news about this, that I'm really 25:04 appreciating more and more as time goes on is this motivates 25:08 us to turn the other cheek and go the extra mile when we faced 25:12 evil, we face injustice. Just remember, God is going to 25:16 take care that face-to-face. Just remember that. God is the 25:20 one I would pay, says the Lord. So you just turn the other 25:24 cheek and go the extra mile and leave that with the Lord. 25:27 See, this is why we need a God who is both merciful and just 25:32 you take away guns, justice and you just remove the motivation 25:36 for us to turn the other cheek and go the extra mile and now 25:39 that God is unjust, we're going to be Jess. We're going to get 25:43 he 5. We're going to stand up for us of no, God is going to 25:46 take care of all of that. He is a faithful God and I love 25:50 the way it says here he's going to face to face is not going to 25:52 be behind their backs. 25:56 You know, sometimes we get even with people, but we want to do 25:59 it behind their backs. What I mean by that? Well, we're just 26:02 going to share a little bit about their character and who 26:05 they are, but we're not going to do it to their face to the 26:07 face. We're going to be all smiley and happy. 26:11 But when we get an opportunity, we're going to talk him down, 26:13 right? God doesn't do that. If God has an issue with us, 26:16 he talks was face-to-face because God is in a real sense. 26:21 He's a man 26:22 he plays. The man will talk about that a little bit more as 26:25 we continue on. So this is this first verse and notice what it 26:28 says. You have to find the faithful God, God is faithful 26:31 in mercy and God is faithful in justice. Remember last night 26:36 talked about those 2 elements, right? Those 2 aspects of God's 26:39 love, 26:41 Mercy and Justice and Satan has been trying to divorce them for 26:45 ever, right trying to separate them. 26:48 But in the cross there brought together mercy in just a kiss 26:51 each other. They reckon soccer's. When you look at how 26:53 we want to see mercy and justice, 26:56 exactly. Good answer. 26:58 Tried to get you a little trick question there, right? 27:01 So the message the because Jose directs us back to the great 27:05 controversy theme over God's Love, right? This 27:10 controversial, God's love, God's Mercy, God's justice, 27:13 which is reconciled revelation. Chapter 4 says that John saw 27:17 the throne said and having the throne of God of the Staten 27:20 Island was a rainbow around this thrown inside likened to 27:23 an emerald. That rainbow reminds us of those 2 elements 27:26 of rain and sunshine. Those 2 seemingly opposite us to come 27:30 together to form that rainbow. Those to see me in the office. 27:33 It's of God's character. His justices mercy that 27:37 together form the foundation of love. God is love. So in this 27:43 description of God's faithfulness, we find God is 27:46 faithfully merciful and he's faithfully just both at the 27:50 same time, balanced without compromise. Now we get in 27:53 bounce, don't we? Sometimes we get a little bit too much of 27:56 the justice and legal battles, OK, let's get a little more the 27:59 mercy over here. And that's what we go through in society 28:01 today. Today in our society, in American society, we're 28:05 swinging back toward the mercy, right? We've been a little bit 28:07 h*** o* the morrow. We've been a little bit hard part of the 28:10 LGBTQ right in years past. I mean, we were you really do 28:14 and some mean things to people. And so we thought all we feel 28:17 terrible about that. So we're swinging the other way. Now, 28:20 God is consistently balanced in his justice and in his mercy. 28:26 He's calling us to do the same. It's hard sometimes because 28:29 when you're in Dallas, you might get a guilt trip. You 28:31 know you I got to make up for this. And so you want to swing 28:33 the other way. 28:35 And that's where we find ourselves in our country today. 28:40 The danger is when you swing to one extreme, what's going to 28:44 happen? 28:45 You're going to swing back the other way. 28:47 Any time you go to one extreme, the danger is you're going to 28:49 swing back the other way and just look for 28:52 because it's probably right around the corner 28:55 as a chapter one, the word of the lords came and it was in 28:58 the Senate there 28:59 in the days of Uzai edge thumb of a has and has a chi kings of 29:04 Judah in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joe Ash King of 29:07 Israel. That's not the first year ball that came after 29:10 Solomon's died and just hold them, you know, wanted more 29:15 taxes and wanted to with them scorpions. This is a another 29:18 jeroboam later on. Again, this time frame is similar. 2 eyes 29:23 and you're going to find that give you some of the same 29:24 messages together. 29:27 Most of the game, the warlord by Jose at the Lord said those 29:30 ago take the wife of Fordham's and children. Fordham's for the 29:33 Land is committee. Great Whoredoms departing from the 29:35 Lord. There it is right there. It's in black and white right 29:38 in the Bible. This is what got told Jose to do. Now. There are 29:42 times when gobble tell us to do things that seem a little bit 29:46 out of the ordinary 29:48 in relationship to the rest of the world, the maybe even 29:51 relationship to the church. 29:53 We've got to know it's the voice of God 29:56 and then we need to do it. 29:57 We need to do a God is calling us to do so. He went and he 30:00 took Goma. The daughter of the blam which conceived in bear 30:03 him. A son in the Lord said unto him, call his name jazz 30:06 real for you a little while and I will avenge the blood of jazz 30:09 real upon the house of Jay who and I will cause to cease the 30:12 kingdom of the House of Israel. 30:16 As we read through these verses in Chapter one. I want to I 30:18 want you to pick up on the versus the talk about God's 30:21 mercy and I want you to pick up on the versus to talk about 30:23 God's justice. 30:25 And we'll look at that as we conclude this chapter the came 30:28 to pass 30:30 at that day. It shall come to pass first 5 at that day that I 30:34 will break the bow of his role in Valley just real. And she 30:36 conceived again and their daughter and got sent him call 30:39 her name low. Will Hamas Frey will have no more have mercy 30:43 upon the House of Israel, but I will gladly take them away. 30:47 But I will have mercy upon the House of Judah, 30:50 all have mercy on the conservative evidence and all 30:53 all saved them by the Lord their God and will not save 30:57 them by boat or by sort of by battle by horses nor by 30:59 horsemen. 31:01 Now, when he and wean lower Hama and conceived peak, 31:04 she conceived and their son when she had wing. And then it 31:07 then said thought, call his name law on me for you're not 31:12 my people and I will not be your God 31:15 yet. 31:16 The number the chill of Israel should be as the Senate ACC 31:19 that you see that justice and that mercy there, the number 31:22 the chill that it will be this as he was going to be measure 31:24 nor number needs to come to pass in the place where it was 31:27 said unto them. You're not my people there shall be sent in 31:30 to them. You are the sons of living dot that the number of 31:34 the children, Israel's the scent of the sea, was that 31:35 remind you of 31:37 you might be a revelation chapter 7 versus 9. I saw a 31:39 great multitude that no man could number every nation can 31:42 be a ton of people. 31:45 First 11 n then shall the children of Judah and the 31:48 children of Israel be gathered together and appoint themselves 31:51 one head. You know, the head is 31:54 Jesus. That's right. 31:56 And they shall come up out of the land for Great Shelby, 32:00 the J Udge as real. 32:02 So what we have here is God communicating a faithful, 32:05 got communicating justice and mercy. 32:08 >> And sometimes we just we feel a little bit uncomfortable 32:11 about the justice part. And we just want to focus on the 32:14 mersey part and others us feel a little bit uncomfortable at 32:17 the mercy part. 32:18 >> And we really want to make up for the justice part. 32:20 You know, the church isn't teaching does justice anymore. 32:22 So it's going up here. What is going to preach justice, 32:24 justice, justice justice 32:26 but got doesn't do that. Does he? I mean, all through 32:29 these versus the diverse one. Got us talking to us that mercy 32:32 right there. Just the fact that got us talking when when 32:35 someone is unfaithful to you, do ye even talk to them. 32:38 You can communicate. Got us talking to watch, too. That's 32:41 great. First 2. 32:43 >> Men marry an unfaithful wife. I'm still connected to 32:47 them even though they've been unfaithful to me for 7. 32:52 >> Mursi has promised to do to First 10 is will be a sense of 32:55 the sea. They will be God's people verse. 11 unity is 32:58 promised among the now divided nation of Israel. 33:01 They're going to be under one head. Jesus Christ is going to 33:03 come out of the land, 33:04 a likely reference to coming out of babble on down the road. 33:08 But then you've got the justice first for I'm going to events. 33:11 The budget is real. 33:13 Write verse 5. Want to break the mold. Israel over 6, 33:16 no mercy on Israel to take them away. 33:19 First 9, you're not my people. 33:22 I'm not your guy. 33:25 It's a blending 33:28 because that's what we need. 33:29 If it was all justice, we would give up in despair. 33:33 It was all mercy. 33:36 One saved always saved. 33:38 That's good, right? All the time is good. Yeah, I have been 33:42 doing so great that, you know, thank you for patients working 33:44 lifetime. 33:49 God is in Ernest with us. We don't have much more time. 33:57 We really don't. What I mean by that is I'm not talking about 34:00 the idea 34:02 that the Sunday last right on the corner talking about that. 34:05 >> We're not talking about the idea that the signs of being 34:08 fulfilled. The signs had been before field for a very long 34:11 time. 34:13 God's not waiting for that 34:15 Matthew Chapter, 24 14, make it very clear what God is waiting 34:19 for this gospel. The king will reach in all the world. 34:22 >> As a 34:24 >> witness, we need that part out. We were out there 34:26 preaching the gospel, preaching the gospel as a witness. 34:30 Then what's going to happen? 34:32 >> All those are the signs can be fulfilled and God is going 34:34 to hold out for that one sign that one sign he's head and 34:37 shoulders above every other side. All the signs combined 34:40 put in one side of the scale. Take that one time. But in the 34:43 other it will tip the whole scale. 34:45 God is waiting for the mystery of God. He finished priced in 34:48 us. The hope of glory. The pope's waiting for us. 34:55 >> The powers that be, they're all waiting for us 34:58 like they're ready like they're there. 35:00 >> They got this thing. The digital currency is coming. 35:02 And, you know, we've got the climate change with the son of 35:04 a lull right into that thing. Everything set up. Where are 35:08 those people are supposed to be out here countering what we're 35:10 doing in print and what were they at 35:13 the heat? 35:15 All there. They are 35:18 cowering in their in their homes because we've made it 35:21 impossible for them to go to church. 35:23 All right. We shut down the churches. They just went right 35:25 along with it. Yeah, 35:27 we put the mandate out there and they said, yeah, we support 35:30 mandates. Yeah. That's that people isn't. 35:35 We're all God's people. 35:38 The ones that are going to be standing against mandating 35:41 forcing people to do something that's against their conscience 35:45 and not going along with it. 35:47 Where are those people? That's that's what got to say. I think 35:50 the devil would be saying that to where are they? 35:55 Jose takes us on a deep dive. 35:58 Number 2, how does got awaken us his people to his 36:02 faithfulness? 36:04 That's because it takes us on a deep dive into God's mercy, 36:07 illustrates God's faithfulness as a type of Christ 36:11 by marrying a harlot. 36:14 In other words, 36:15 as I say this as and as they won. 21, how is the faithful 36:20 city become a harlot eyes is talking. 36:25 Did you then Benjamin 36:28 Jose is talking to the 12 tribes. There isn't much 36:31 difference that the time difference. But there's both on 36:34 the same course. How is the safest city tomorrow? She was 36:37 full of judgment, righteousness lodge in it. But now murderers, 36:41 murderers, murderers in the church. See this verse reminds 36:45 us of our own said history regarding abortion. 36:49 You know, I pine is strongly opposed to abortion. They could 36:53 hardly even imagine 36:55 murdering innocent, helpless children. But today our church 36:58 is full of murders. 37:02 Is it wrong for me to say that 37:06 people who support 37:08 murdering innocent helpless children 37:11 because they think that it's a religious liberty issue? 37:15 It's a freedom of choice for women. But what about the 37:18 choice of the baby? 37:20 I don't know any babies that would choose to be murdered 37:24 if they have the choice. 37:26 Do you think they want to beat when important to him? I don't 37:28 think so. So this is an example of how far we have wonder from 37:31 God while still calling him Lord. 37:36 And that's where we pick up in the book of Isaiah, 37:39 the idea worshipping bail while we think we're worshipping God 37:46 because the word bail actually means Lord. 37:49 But it's a different Lord. It's not the Lord God almighty. 37:53 It's a different lord. And yet we somehow think it is the 37:57 Lord. 37:58 But the reason why does the Lord is because the Lord has a 38:02 character that's in harmony with his law and one of the 38:05 Commandments in his law is thou shalt not 38:10 the idea. 38:12 >> That we would ever have a controversy over abortion in 38:16 our church. 38:18 Even question it. 38:19 >> Is a revelation of our and faithfulness to God, 38:23 plain and simple. 38:26 It's a political hot button. 38:30 But since when does politics dictate what we believe in our 38:34 church, 38:35 we go by the viable by the word of God. We're not Democrats or 38:39 Republicans are. We know we are children of the most high God 38:45 and we protect life. 38:54 We are in this experience. 38:57 We as members because the church is not brick and mortar 39:01 and buildings. We today as members are married to an 39:05 unfaithful woman. 39:08 It was not follow God's Council. Not regarding the 39:10 medical work, 39:12 not regarding educational work, not regarding the work of 39:15 evangelism for the health message. 39:18 And it is continually just like 39:21 the 12 tribes, 39:23 the 10 north of the 2 south. 39:25 This church is continually back sliding further and further and 39:31 further from God into the world. 39:34 We are 39:35 conforming step-by-step yielding step by step to Worley 39:39 demands and we will not find it hard matter to yield to the 39:44 powers that be when the mark of the beast is enforced upon us. 39:48 I just want to share that with you so that you know where 39:51 we're headed because when this church looks like it's about to 39:55 fall because it's medical work is not founded on the blueprint 39:58 and its evangelistic work is not founded on the blueprint 40:01 and its educational work is not found on the blueprint what it 40:04 looks like it's about to fall. It's not really falling. 40:07 So really falling. That's not God's work. 40:12 Not what God ordained for it to be. That is been subjugated to 40:17 the world. It's been taken over by Babble on. It's been taken 40:20 captive in the battle on just like the northern tribes and 40:23 the southern tribes were step by step by step, taken into 40:26 Babylon. 40:28 But while that happened, that would Daniels and easy Keels 40:33 and Jeremiah Nance and Jose, it's who remain faithful to 40:37 got. 40:39 And these faithful people 40:42 had the promises of God fulfilled in them. That became 40:45 witnesses to the world to begin heading up. The tail, 40:48 God's promises will never fail to his faithful people. They 40:53 will not fail. 40:56 As we look at this backsliding, we need to recognize that God 41:01 himself is being violated again and again. And when it entered 41:04 into the anguish of mind and body and spirit, the God 41:08 himself experiences with the weeping between the porch and 41:11 the altar. 41:13 We're not jumping ship here. 41:15 We're not being overly critical. While we are being 41:18 frank and honest about her condition, 41:21 we're recognizes all the profits half. 41:24 That is a problem. Camelot all is not well 41:28 say Unto your brethren. 41:31 Jose. Chapter 2, 2, sisters we do with your mother pleads for. 41:36 She is not my wife. Neither my husband. This is what God is 41:39 calling us to do to fleet. 41:43 >> That's like stripper naked and center is in the days that 41:45 she was born in maker as a wilderness and set her like a 41:49 dry land and slay her with thirst verse 4 of Chapter 2 and 41:52 I will not have mercy upon our children for they be the chill 41:55 of whoredoms for their mother has played the harlot. She can 41:58 see them. She that can see them as Dan shamefully for. She said 42:02 I will go after my lovers. The give me my bread, um, 42:04 I water my will. My flexing my all my drink. 42:08 We've come to the place where the federal government is. 42:11 The main supporter of our schools in the federal 42:14 government is the main supporter of our hospitals. 42:16 And we don't realize that when we allow that to happen and 42:20 state governments, we allow that to happen. They're also 42:22 going to dictate the way we're going to run those institutions 42:26 and we're just going to acquiesce. We're going to go 42:29 along with them. And it was going to go along with 42:31 everything 42:33 and not realizing that God is the one that gives us all of 42:37 that economic blessings that we need, that we need to remain 42:40 faithful to him. 42:43 Behold and a heads up her way with thorns and make a wall 42:46 that she saw final passes and God graceful. He's good. 42:49 He brings trials to us to try to help us to, to break us off 42:54 from the world and get us back on track. 42:56 And she's so follow after her lovers and she was still not 42:59 overtake them and she still seek them but not find them. 43:02 And then just to say, I will go to return to my first husband 43:07 for then it was better with me than now. 43:11 See, we've made a husband of someone other than God and got 43:14 to see the awake in our eyes. He wants us to taste how bad 43:19 the world can actually be so that we can say, you know what? 43:23 I really need to take my the focus off the world to get out 43:27 that get back on track with got that's what I need to do. 43:33 See the world as an in-game for us. 43:35 And that is to separate us from our husband are faithful 43:38 husband 43:41 for she did not know for Sate. She did not know that I gave 43:45 her. 43:46 >> Cornyn, her wine in Orland multiplied or silver and gold 43:48 as they prepare for bail. 43:50 Therefore, I will return and I will take away the corn in the 43:53 time thereof and the one in the season thereof in a row cover. 43:56 My will. My flight is given to cover nakedness and now I will 43:59 discover heard lewdness in the side of her lovers and none 44:02 shall deliver out of my hand. That's happening right now in a 44:05 church. 44:07 The lewdness of the church is being discovered. 44:09 It's being revealed and which but we need to recognize as was 44:13 said that this is for a purpose. People need to realize 44:18 where we are as a church as a denomination as a people 44:22 so we can be awakened or condition. And it's not for the 44:25 purpose thinking that we're in a better situation than those 44:29 guys are that we're better than those guys because we're not 44:31 doing what they're doing. 44:33 It is in order for us to recognize where the true source 44:38 of everything comes from and that's from the Lord. 44:42 I will destroy. I will also cause Earth to see center fee 44:46 stays in. Humans are savage and all over Saudis. All of this is 44:49 right up on us and I will destroy her mind and and fig 44:52 trees where she is said they're my rewards that my lovers have 44:55 given me and I will make them for us. And the beast of the 44:57 field shall not eat them. 45:00 What's going to happen with our institutions as they're going 45:02 to start, 45:03 they're going to keep failing one after another. There's 45:06 going to keep failing. Right. And the reason why God allows 45:10 that to happen is to wake us up to help us realize. I remember 45:14 years ago, all the public institutions started closing 45:17 all over the world. Right. And now we have hospitals 45:20 closing here and there I don't. If you're aware of that or or, 45:22 you know, cup merging with Catholic, more other hospitals, 45:28 at least they don't commit abortions. Right. 45:33 And I will visit upon are the days of Alun Wyn verse 13 she 45:36 burned in says to them and decked herself with her 45:38 earrings and her jewels. 45:45 I've heard people say there's nothing in the Bible against 45:47 jury 45:49 and she went after lovers and got me says the Lord first 14, 45:52 therefore, behold, I will learn her and I will bring under 45:55 bring her into the wilderness and I will speak comfortably 45:57 under there's justice and mercy, right? They're going to 46:00 bring into the world of ice becomes 100 or you have been in 46:03 the wilderness. 46:05 It's a desolate place. It's a place to dry land. It's a place 46:09 of thirst and heat. 46:12 It's a difficult place to be. But when God speaks 46:15 comfortably, 46:16 are you willing to be anywhere 46:18 when you hear Ga speaking comfortably, you will need to 46:21 be anyone sometimes. I think all I want to get back into 46:23 that will disregard speaks comfortably. 46:27 I want to hear that voice of God speaking comfortably. 46:32 I will give or even years from fence in the valley of a core 46:36 for a day of Hope member can who hit the babylonian garment 46:39 and the wedge of gold. That's the valley of a core. 46:42 We need to discover the babylonian garment in our midst 46:47 and remove it have on these to go out 46:57 and she she'll sing there is in the days or use this in the 47:00 days when she came up out of the land of Egypt. 47:02 The song is powerful. 47:04 The song is powerful. 47:11 When they were sharing last night, 47:14 there's a special power 47:16 in songs that have experience 47:21 and Gaal wants to give us this wilderness experience 47:26 and the song of Moses and the Land 47:28 I will give ended venues from hence in the valley to excuse 47:31 me and for 16 and it shall be at that day. Saith the Lord 47:34 that thou shalt Call Me is she and show No more Call Me. 47:39 Bailey trial will take away the names of bailing out of her 47:41 mouth and they show no more be remembered by their name. 47:50 Now, the issue we don't always grass in relationship to the 47:53 word of God, is that the word bail 47:56 means Lord? 47:59 And the difference wasn't really in the word but it was 48:02 in the character of them. What he what he wanted from the 48:06 people, 48:07 what he desired in relationship to the Lord, the kind of Lord 48:13 it's being described 48:15 in bail and is she has to do with the theology with 48:20 the understanding of God's character 48:22 and many times we can think worshiping God, but the 48:25 character that is being represented, there's not the 48:28 character of God at all. 48:30 That's why Paul says there are lawyers, many gots money. 48:34 God is calling us 48:37 to embrace the truth 48:39 of who he really is. 48:43 He points us to this idea of Ishi. 48:47 I want to talk about that just a little bit because this word 48:51 means husbands 48:54 or and most of the time is translated man. 48:58 And it really directs us to Jesus, you know, over and over 49:01 again. Jesus is identified as the man with the son of man. 49:05 So when you look at is she has been in Hosea. It's really 49:09 directing us to Jesus. Jesus is the man shot the revelation 12 49:13 Ares 5 Jesus is the one pilot said behold the man in John 19 49:17 verse 5. Jesus is the son of man revelation one verse 12. 49:21 He is the second man of the second. Adam in First 49:25 Corinthians chapter 15 versus 47. And 48. So is she is 49:30 someone who loves and respects you 49:35 because that's what him and us 49:37 he will do anything for you. 49:40 See, we've lost gender identity in our country and therefore 49:45 we've lost our understanding of what it means to be a man. 49:50 God is calling men to be men and women to be women. Gaz 49:54 calling meant to protect women 49:56 to be faithful to women. 49:59 God is calling them to crucify themselves. That's what Jesus 50:02 stating a 70 he said, not my will, but I will be done to 50:07 take responsibility for the relationship. That's what Jesus 50:09 did. Isaiah 53. He took upon himself, our sons and our 50:13 iniquities to communicate responsibly. That's what Jesus 50:16 taught us in Matthew 18, if you got a problem, someone going 50:18 talking about it 50:22 on that communication. That's what Jesus did in Matthew. 50:26 23. 50:27 He rebuked the scribes and pharisees and he said, you know 50:30 what, your house is left and you desolate 50:34 to work to restore relationships. Even though that 50:37 desolate house was left by Christ, he still set on the 50:41 cross father, forgive them for they know not what they do. 50:44 He sought to reconcile, reconcile, reconcile and all 50:48 ultimately the man, Jesus Christ honors individual 50:52 freedom and choice in relationship revelation. 50:54 22 verse 11. 50:56 He doesn't just let it be. And still he's filthy led to 50:59 the field. He still he is right. Just like the right. 51:01 You still he was holding my holy still. 51:04 So in summary, 51:05 the broader President, Ruth message of Hosea directs us to 51:10 Christ and his faithful love for an unfaithful people. 51:15 The ultimate question, 51:18 who of us, 51:20 we'll respond to God's faithful love 51:23 who of us will return to of us will repent. 2 of us will be 51:26 fully restored to the image of God stand among the ready, 51:31 the stand 51:32 as the sand on the seashore. Who 51:37 among us 51:43 the only way we can 51:45 possibly say me. 51:48 Well, I want to 51:50 it's my understanding this last point 51:52 in the book about and that is how does God remained faithful 51:55 to a faceless people? 51:57 How does he do that? 51:59 Because God is just as well as merciful. 52:02 So how can how can he be just 52:05 and the merciful the same time, 52:09 Jose Chapter 11, 7 through 9. 52:12 My people have been to backsliding from me, though. 52:14 They though they hold them to the most time. None of them 52:18 with exult him for say How'shall to give up for him to 52:22 live or the Israel national. I think he is at Mott 52:25 How'shall. I-70 is the bow on. These are the towns that were 52:28 there with S**** and Gomorrah destroyed. 52:31 >> My heart is charged with in the mire of 10 teens are kindle 52:34 together. I will not execute the missions of my anger. 52:38 I will not destroy the for him for I am God and not and the 52:41 holy one in the midst of the and I will not enter into the 52:44 city. 52:48 That's amazing. 52:50 The Bible says that God. 52:53 >> Is able 52:55 to hold back on execution against us 52:59 because God made him 53:03 Jesus Christ to the scene for us 53:07 that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 53:10 So when we re Jose in this context in the concepts of the 53:14 divine deliverance. 53:15 >> When we see why and how God help back the ultimate 53:18 consequences for our own faithfulness in holding back 53:22 these consequences for our son. 53:24 When we see that he in order to do this, he took them up on 53:26 himself. 53:28 >> Then we have a whole different understanding of how 53:32 God remains faithful. So with this in mind, we read Hosea 53:37 with Covenant Faithful Glasses on. These are my covenant 53:40 faithful glasses, right? And we see it in a different 53:43 way. For example, is there for 17 says Ephraim is joining his 53:46 idols, let alone. 53:48 But with COVID glasses on, we read even miss joined his 53:51 idols, let Christ alone 53:56 the Christ the law 53:57 first a Christ because of the firm's idols, 54:01 you know, say 5.10, it's as if Shelby, a desolate, desolate in 54:05 the day of rebuke among the tribes of Israel. Have I made 54:07 known that which will surely be the princes of Judah. We like 54:10 them that removed the bound, therefore will pour out my 54:12 wrath upon them like water. But then we read the covenant 54:15 classes. All movie eat for him. 54:18 Christ shall be desolate in the day for you. 54:22 Among the tribes of Israel have I made known that was why I 54:25 will surely do the princes of Judah like them that remove the 54:28 bound, therefore report my wrath upon Christ. 54:32 That's what I'm going to do 54:34 to remain faithful to my justice in my mercy. I'm going 54:37 to pour out my wrath upon Christ 54:41 6, 1, 2, on this. Going to read it with coming in glasses on 54:45 com and let us return unto the Lord for he have torn Christ 54:50 and he will heal us. He is smitten Christ 54:53 and he will bind us up 54:55 after 2 days, he will revive us 54:58 in the 3rd day. 54:59 He will raise us up 55:01 and we still live in the side because we're in Heavenly 55:03 places where 55:05 Christ Jesus 55:07 and after today's price rose up, 55:09 those have been the place is in that 3rd day, 55:12 Isaiah 53 kind of summarizes this member of contemporary 55:16 Jose at. 55:17 >> Who has believed our report and whom is the honor the Lord 55:20 been revealed. What is the arm to go with the power of the 55:23 Lord, the strength of the Lord. He was wounded for our 55:25 transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The 55:28 chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes, 55:31 we are Hield. All we like sheep have gone astray return 55:35 everyone to his own way in the Lord has laid upon him. The 55:38 iniquity of us all, 55:39 Jose Seven-thirty. Well in the cries for they have fled for 55:42 me. Destruction on the cries because they have transgressed 55:45 against me. They'll have redeemed them yet. They have 55:47 spoken lies against me, Jose. 83. Israel has castoff the 55:51 thing that is good. The enemy shall pursue Christ. 55:54 They have set of kings but not by media may princes first 4 55:58 and I knew it not of their silver of their goal. They have 56:00 made the miles that they excuse me that Christ may be cut off. 56:07 Read it. 56:08 It's all there. 56:10 >> When we understand God's Covenant faithful, as we 56:12 understand, he put up on Christ the iniquities of all, we 56:16 understand the Christ became sent for us, read it and read 56:19 it 56:20 long and hard 56:23 and think about it. 56:26 Yeah. Got so loved the world. 56:29 But he gave his only begotten son 56:33 because we have sown the wind for 7 of the same chapter is a 56:37 and Christ is going to reap the whirlwind. 56:40 Israel know Christ is swallowed up. 56:45 I'll let you find the rest of those for some schools are 56:47 running short on time. 56:48 We can see here how God can be faithful and not execute. 56:52 The fishes of his wrath against is unfaithful people by taking 56:55 all of that to himself. 56:57 And that's what he did in Jesus Christ. 57:01 So we come full circle, Deuteronomy 7, 9, 10 57:06 and my close the deal is this 57:08 Jose is not primarily a story 57:11 about us. 57:13 It's a story about God. 57:15 The story of was a it is not so much about who we are as he's 57:19 about who God is. He is the faithful God. 57:23 Yes, it was a type of Christ and he stayed faithful to an 57:26 unfit for him because he was a faithful man. Get the bigger 57:29 picture here. 57:30 >> Is that God has stayed faithful to humanity because he 57:34 is the faithful 57:36 [MUSIC] 57:41 [MUSIC] 57:46 [MUSIC] 57:51 [MUSIC] |
