Christopher Hudson is extremely passionate about 01:19 spreading the gospel and he does. So he creates programs. 01:23 He passes out literature 01:26 and he's quite bold. He's even been to the Vatican. If you've 01:29 ever seen leopard vision, then you seen some of the things 01:33 that he's been sharing. And it's been absolutely incredible 01:36 to see how God has been using him to reach many, many souls 01:43 for his kingdom 01:45 after Ryan Day blesses us in song. The people of the book. 06:53 I remember when I was a traveling from, 06:57 I was traveling from London to go to Israel to do some 07:00 evangelists to meetings out in on Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. 07:04 And I 07:05 as I boarded the plane, I sat next to this Israeli gentleman. 07:08 And to this day, I still can't remember exactly what it was 07:12 that led to us getting into a conversation. But we began 07:16 laughing and talking as if we had known each other and the 07:19 way that we were interacting with one another was so 07:21 intimate that the people that were traveling to do Israel 07:26 with me, they actually thought I already knew this man. 07:30 So as we were in the plane and we took off. So he asked me, 07:33 what are you going to Israel for an I told him that I'm 07:35 going to be doing some evangelists to meetings there. 07:37 And he said, oh, so you're you're a Christian. And I say, 07:40 yeah, 07:42 he said, well, what denomination are you a part of? 07:43 I said on the 7 dead dentist, 07:45 he said to have been to 7th day. 07:48 I don't know what the 7 Day Adventists is. What is the 7th 07:50 Day Adventist. 07:51 And I thought to myself, this is going to be interesting. 07:54 So I said, well, 07:56 we have we have some things in common 07:59 like you, I believe in keeping God, seven-day Sabbath. Holy, 08:04 I also believe in following the health law's of Moses. But, 08:09 you know, I actually follow 08:13 God's recommended diet in the book of Genesis, 08:16 Akio, even like that. You say then for that one, 08:22 as I said this, these things to this gentleman, he looked at me 08:25 and he said, you know what? 08:27 At first I was happy that I was sitting next to you. 08:32 And then he said 08:34 now I feel on it. 08:39 Your son of Noah, 08:42 you're the people of the book 08:45 and he took a scarf 08:47 from around his neck 08:49 and he put it around my neck. 08:51 And then when we got to the airport there 08:54 in Jerusalem, he took my bags off of the turnstile and put it 08:58 on the card. I said I am the people of the book. 09:02 I was my friend. 09:04 Others insist says it's a it's an honor to be a known as the 09:07 people of the book. 09:09 I really think that we should seek to the store that moniker 09:13 to write standing amidst what do you say 09:16 before we get into the word of God this evening as that will 09:19 be dealing with the subject, the just shall live by faith. 09:23 So is my tradition to encourage everyone to pray and because of 09:26 an audience, he I can encourage you all the way. He 09:37 wants us to know what his will is for such a time. Amen. 13:13 [MUSIC] 13:15 If you go with me in your Bible, we're going to the book 13:18 of have backup a backup chapter 2 and verse 4 back 13:23 chapter 2 13:25 and verse 4. 13:27 The title is the just shall live by faith and havoc. 13:32 Chapter 2 13:35 and verse for the Bible says behold 13:38 his soul, 13:40 which is lifted up 13:43 is not a pride in him, 13:45 but the just shall live 13:48 by faith. 13:50 The just shall live by faith. 13:52 The just shall live by faith. What does it mean to live by 13:56 faith 13:58 matter of fact? Here's a better question 14:01 at the onset. 14:03 What is faith? 14:05 Because how can we live by something that we're not even 14:08 capable of identifying? 14:11 How can you live by faith if you don't even have a clear 14:14 definition of what faith is? 14:18 You know, the Bible tells us in the book of Psalms chapter. 14:22 33 beginning ever. 6 familiar script. I believe to most of us 14:25 here, 14:27 some 33 looking at the 6 verse 14:30 the word of God, the clearance 14:32 by the word of the Lord with the heavens made 14:35 and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth 14:38 verse 9 goes on to say for he spake and it was done. He 14:43 commanded and it stood fast. You may not understand this, 14:49 but us comprehending us understanding us fully 14:53 embracing the reality that the word of God is responsible for 14:58 bringing everything invisible creation into existence. 15:02 Us understanding that truth is literally fundamental. It's a 15:06 cornerstone to our belief system as Christians, 15:10 just fully comprehending realizing embracing that God's 15:14 word is responsible for all things in the visible world. 15:20 He created all things by his word. This is very critical to 15:24 our belief system. As Christians matter of fact, 15:27 goes into the book of Hebrews Chapter 11 15:30 in Hebrews. The 11th chapter beginning got first one. 15:33 This truth is expounded on Hebrews chapter 11 verse that I 15:37 give you 15:38 Good Hebrews. Chapter 11, looking at the first verse. 15:41 The Bible tells us there. Now faith is the substance of 15:45 things hoped for the evidence of things not seen by the 15:50 Elders obtained a good report. Now, look at first 3 15:54 through faith. We understand 15:57 that the world were framed by the word all God, so that that 16:02 things which are 16:04 scene were not made by things which do up here to see what 16:09 the Bible is telling us here. 16:11 The word of God is telling us that the invisible word of God 16:14 is responsible for bringing into existence things that are 16:18 tangible, 16:20 things that are physical but we can touch we can put our hands 16:23 on. We can view with the naked eye. Are you following so far 16:27 the word of God is responsible for bringing these things into 16:30 existence. 16:32 That's amazing. 16:34 So in Genesis Chapter one when God said let there be light, 16:37 there was no light previous to that declaration when he said 16:40 let there be light light came into existence 16:44 because the light existed in his word 16:50 in Genesis, Chapter one and verse 14 when God said that 16:53 they be like in the firmament of the heaven, 16:55 the divide the day from the night 16:57 and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and 17:01 for years. And then it goes on to Denver, 16 into clears. 17:04 So you made 2 great lights, the great ally to rule the day and 17:08 the less alike to rule the night and he made the stars. 17:11 Also, I don't even know if there was a such thing as the 17:14 sun 17:15 Moon or a star prior to God making that declaration. 17:20 But one thing is certain 17:23 when God said 17:25 let there be light in the firmament, 17:28 the moon came into existence. 17:31 The sun began to burn 17:34 the stars big n Twinkly 17:37 friends because those things that are tangible existed in 17:41 the invisible words, 17:44 God's word doesn't possess creative power. God's word is 17:48 creative power 17:51 and it is through faith that we understand that the word is a 17:56 creative agency. If you're with me say, Matt, 17:59 that's important 18:01 this could all fall. It's critical for us to understand 18:03 that. 18:05 I want you to talk with what you go with me. I thought I was 18:07 going to go to Titus Titus Chapter one. We're talking 18:11 about the word of God 18:13 in Titus. Chapter one, 18:16 looking at 18:18 verse 2. 18:20 It says they're in hope of everlasting life in hope 18:25 of eternal life, 18:27 which God who cannot lie promised. 18:31 >> Before the world began, 18:35 the one truth that I want you to extract from that simple 18:38 verse is this God cannot lie, 18:44 which means God is too, 18:48 isn't that what John? 17 17 tells us sanctify them through 18:51 the night to thy word is huge. Therefore, whatever God speaks, 18:57 it's true. 18:59 >> Because God cannot live. Now coupled with that, the fact 19:03 that God's word 19:05 is creative power 19:08 and that means whatever God declares to be will be even if 19:13 it never has been. You don't get that point 19:18 because God cannot want 19:21 so whatever God that clears it will be even if it never 19:25 existed before 19:27 whatever got promises will become a tangible reality, 19:31 even if it seems farfetched an impossible 19:37 because that is the nature of the word of God and something 19:41 else that we didn't touch on 19:43 that the Bible presents to us in psalm 33 and verse 9 that 19:48 when he speaks not only are things done, but he commands 19:52 and they stand fast, which lets us know that when God's word 19:55 brings things into existence, he doesn't leave creation by 19:59 itself to maintain itself. 20:03 God's word itself sustains what the were brings into existence. 20:09 So God makes himself up countable for his own words. 20:13 That means God holds himself accountable to his promises to 20:18 get the point friends. 20:22 Now, why is all that important? 20:25 It's all important because that scripture, you know very well. 20:29 In Romans. Chapter 10 verse 17 tenure Bibles there. 20:34 Romans chapter 10 verse that I get you 20:37 good Romans Chapter 10 and we're looking at the 17th 20:40 verse, the word of God simply states the U.S. here. So then 20:44 faith coming by I hearing and hearing by the law 20:50 friends, 20:52 the foundation of all true, real functional faith is what 20:58 you feel say, men, 20:59 why use a game? And that's a lot. 21:02 I literally get the scripture. I lie to you and you said Amen. 21:08 So you're not okay. I love it. 21:12 The foundation of all true 21:16 functional pay 21:18 is the word of God. 21:20 It has nothing to do with what you feel. What you think. 21:24 What's the logical to you are irrational to you? All of those 21:28 things have nothing to do with the equation of what faith is 21:35 founded on the word of God, not with your spirit tells you. 21:42 So if you have a faith 21:44 that is not founded on the word of God, 21:47 in reality, you have no faith 21:53 and that will be made abundantly clear in the very 21:57 near future when the winds begin to blow 22:00 and the floods began rising. 22:04 And when those wins and the trials that are coming in the 22:07 crisis before us slide, the structure of this system of 22:11 faith that we've been living by friends. We're going to find 22:15 out that when the enemy Hostin Pos your Faith is seriously 22:18 going to fall down. 22:21 Are you with me friends? 22:24 Only those who have a faith that is rooted in the in the 22:28 unchanging. 22:30 >> Power of the word of God 22:33 that alone will stand. 22:36 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God 22:41 and a true fate. 22:43 A true faith 22:44 is a belief in the word of God 22:50 that it is 22:55 that everything he says is true 22:58 that all of his promises a trust 23:01 and not only 23:04 the utterances of God true and faithful, 23:09 what every promise ins 23:12 what he whatever he did clear is that he will do. 23:16 He will do it. 23:19 >> Even if he has to create. 23:22 >> A new thing or a new session situation to bring his promise 23:27 into fruition. 23:28 I say that again, 23:33 a true fate. 23:35 >> It's a belief in the word of God that God's word is true. 23:38 He will never lie to you. We're 26:37 looking at the 4th verse in Matthew Chapter 4 and verse 4 26:41 as Jesus was in the wilderness of temptation, which most of us 26:44 are familiar with. And after this season of hunger and being 26:49 assailed by Satan, there he was 26:53 Hungary and the enemy comes to in towels. But there's 30:00 something that I want you to grasp. 30:07 God's word 30:10 is an expression of God's will. 30:13 Did you see that in your Bibles? 30:16 Jesus? Who is the son of God 30:21 when he said 30:22 >> be thou clean. What we heard was the word of God, a man. 30:27 But the only reason he said be thou clean was because he said 30:31 I will 30:36 him declaring that man to be clean was an expression of his 30:40 wheel. 30:43 So the will of God is expressed in the word of God. 30:49 Are you getting the point? 30:51 So when we talk about the just living by Fay 30:55 that just live 30:58 by the will of God, 31:00 you're not with me 31:03 the just live. 31:06 But what God has expressed to be his will. 31:12 That is our bread. That is our meat 31:18 because what you live 31:20 by every word, every expression of the will of God. 31:26 Now you can understand this thought that Jesus presented to 31:30 his disciples in the book of John Chapter 14 member when he 31:34 was talking to this. Imagine woman at the well. 31:37 And after he told yeah, the man that you're with right now, 31:41 he's not your husband as well. 31:42 And she ran to the city and told them all come see him and 31:45 that he's told me everything that I have ever, Don, he must 31:49 be the Christ. And then the disciples came to him saying, 31:52 master, eat, 31:54 you must be hungry. So that's the end of the story. 50:56 And then they said, well, if you can just get over to 50:59 London, then we can try to work something out. 51:03 And we flew back to New York and as we got to New York to 51:07 JFK Airport 51:09 and we we we we look to see the pricing 51:14 for flights from New York to London during the Christmas 51:17 season and they were asking for your first born child. 51:21 I said, well, that's settled. But as we were 52:13 driving in the car, 52:15 he began talking. He was talking a lot, but he's talking 52:18 good stuff. So it was OK, 52:23 and as he was talking, he began to say how he had this great 52:26 desire to start a school in this rule area that he grew up 52:31 in in Zimbabwe's in a place called go quay. And he just 52:34 said, you know, it's my desire, hope one day to do it. And as 52:37 he's talking about setting up the school, met my wife and are 52:39 looking back and forth at one another because we had just 52:42 been praying about establishing a scent of influence like a 52:45 school. 52:47 >> So he's talking and I'm looking at him and he's looking 52:50 at me and I looked at him, I said, rather will do it. 52:54 He said, what do I said was we're going to set up the 52:56 school, said he didn't think we were serious. Some brother says 52:59 we're going to do 53:09 finish my 53:11 time there in London, jumped on the plane to come back to New 53:15 York. As soon as I got back into New York driving in the 53:19 car with my wife, I got a notification on the phone. 53:22 Somebody that I don't know, sent us a donation covered all 53:26 the airfare that took us to London. 53:32 And I just smiled and looked at my life. 53:34 I said this all got work to be. 53:38 Then we got home and we began talking about this school 53:41 project and establishing it and what needed to be done. And we 53:45 prayed and said, well, we're going to make whatever 53:46 sacrifice we need to make it as we're talking the phone rings 53:49 and then someone is on the phone that I've never talked to 53:52 before. And they said this is Chris Watson as they get one. 53:55 They said, listen, we sent the donation using our card, 53:59 but we're looking at our report here. We don't see it. Can you 54:02 check your system to see because it doesn't make any 54:04 sense? So I said, OK, we went to go look, and then 54:09 I asked them as I was looking in. I said, well, not exactly 54:12 how much was the mountain, then they told me them out. And then 54:14 I said, well, I don't see it, but you can send it not 54:25 and friends. 54:27 The monies they sent. 54:29 It was all the monies that were needed to start the school 54:32 project. 54:36 The just shall live, 54:38 I say. 54:43 >> To know and believe that our God is capable of accomplishing 54:48 the impossible 54:50 doesn't have to fit into all logic 54:54 doesn't have to jive with our rationale 54:57 because God is not subject to logic.
