The herald angels sing, Glory to the newborn King. 38:50 Glorious, in excel sis Deo! 39:04 Glory to God! 39:34 Heaven's stanches rang when the angels sang; 39:42 Proclaiming thy royal decree. 39:49 But a lowly birth is now come to earth; and engrained nobility. 40:05 Oh come to my heart Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart 40:17 for thee; there is room in my heart for thee. 40:47 Christ came from his glory in heaven, 40:51 He came from being the king of the universe 40:53 to being born in a manger. 40:55 He came from his throne in heaven to putting on the humble 41:00 garb of humanity. 41:01 But why? 41:03 I'll tell you why; it's because He loves you. 41:08 Christ loves you so much that He came from His glory in heaven, 41:14 and He was born in that manger, and He lived a perfect life, 41:19 and died an innocent death because He loves you. 41:25 In Luke 2:7 it reads, And she brought forth her firstborn son 41:31 and wrapped him in swaddling clothes 41:33 and layed him in a manger because there was no room 41:37 for them in the Inn. 41:38 There was not only no room for Christ in the Inn, 41:46 there was not only no vacancy, but it was because they did not 41:50 make room for their King. 41:52 They did not make room for Jesus in their hearts. 41:56 Continuing on in verse 8: Now there were in the same 42:00 country shepherds living out in the fields keeping watch 42:05 over their flocks by night. 42:07 It was these shepherds; these were the people that were ready, 42:11 the ones that were waiting and wanting the Savior to come. 42:16 They were the ones that were ready because they had made room 42:21 for Christ in their hearts. 42:23 They were ready. 42:25 But when you think about the priests, the scribes, 42:29 and the Pharisees, all these godly figures of the nation, 42:33 why were they not there at Bethlehem worshipping 42:38 and welcoming this Savior? 42:40 Why were they not there? 42:41 Well, it's because they did not make room for Him 42:47 in their hearts. 42:49 Yes, they were serving God in the temple, but they were not 42:55 serving God from the heart. 42:56 They were serving in the way of show and self glorification. 43:02 They weren't serving God from the heart. 43:04 I have a question for you. 43:06 If Christ were to come again today as a baby 43:13 where would you be? 43:15 Would you be like the priests, or the scribes and pharisees; 43:19 just focusing on what they're doing? 43:22 Making sure they look alright? 43:23 Not really serving God from the heart. 43:27 Or would you be like the shepherds awaiting the coming 43:32 of this Savior? wanting and longing for Him to come 43:35 to save them from their sin? 43:37 Where would you be if Christ were to come again? 43:41 Well Christ is coming very, very soon. 43:46 Not as a baby, but as the Lord and King of the universe again. 43:52 He's coming to take us home. 43:54 Where are you going to be on that day? 43:57 Are you going to be in that choir standing there singing 44:01 Halleluiah, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords reigns 44:07 in my heart because I made room for Him. 44:11 Where will you be on that day? 44:15 Halleluiah! 44:22 Halleluiah, halleluiah, halleluiah, halleluiah, 44:28 halleluiah! 44:30 Halleluiah, halleluiah, halleluiah, halleluiah, 44:36 halleluiah! 44:38 For the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth. 44:43 Hallelujah!
