00:04 Greetings, whoever you are and wherever you are.
00:09 I'm glad you're here
00:10 because I'd like to invite you to journey with me
00:13 in the witness of something very special.
00:16 It's an eye-opening, heartwarming,
00:19 21st century high-tech portrayal
00:22 of God's word for this generation.
00:26 Now every generation has had his word from the Lord.
00:29 But you will agree no people has ever been
00:32 more in need of that word
00:34 than the frightened and fretful morally
00:36 debauched generation in which we live.
00:39 And as we shall see in what follows,
00:42 none of God's servant speak more forcefully
00:45 to modern humanity
00:46 than the two prophetic Titans of holy scripture,
00:50 Daniel of the Old Testament
00:52 and John the Revelator of the new.
00:55 Now the bad news
00:56 is that things couldn't get much worse.
00:59 Our drug dazed, celebrity craze,
01:01 terrorist infested,
01:02 commandment contested generation
01:05 is literally tottering
01:07 on the edge of physical and moral self-destruction.
01:11 But the good news
01:13 is that in the midst of all evil views
01:16 and failed philosophies pervading our planet,
01:19 there is a clear
01:21 and positive word from the Lord,
01:25 and as explained
01:26 by the four scholarly pastors who follow,
01:28 it's an exciting, healing, helpful,
01:31 hopeful word presented with sights and sounds
01:34 that make it an experience
01:36 you won't forget and will want to share.
01:40 So here it is, Daniel and the Revelation.
01:45 Bible truth linked
01:46 in four prophetic segments, science,
01:50 Daniel, Revelation and the grand conclusion,
01:54 the second coming of Christ.
01:57 Ready for the journey? Good.
02:01 Then let's begin.
02:15 Good morning Seattle.
02:18 Jeffrey D here bringing you the low down
02:20 so you can wake up.
02:22 Temperature is roughly 70 with a high of 80
02:24 and you bet your life,
02:25 it's gonna rain, rain, rain but cheer up, folks,
02:29 did you hear that?
05:49 Good evening.
05:50 We continue our coverage
05:52 of this morning's two tragic events.
05:54 A display of aggression that is being called
05:56 the worst act of terror in modern history
05:59 and also the unprecedented earthquake
06:01 that has left several countries in ruin.
06:04 As world leaders scramble to determine their next steps,
06:08 we are being told that in a few minutes,
06:11 the president will be coming out of protective isolation
06:14 to make a statement.
06:19 Madam President, we just heard from the UN.
06:22 It's in the speech. Yes, ma'am.
06:25 Cameras rolling. Quiet on the set.
06:27 You're on in five, four, three, two.
06:33 My fellow Americans and for that matter,
06:36 fellow citizens of this troubled planet.
06:39 It is with both respect and with sorrow
06:42 that I address you following
06:44 what is undoubtedly the worst days
06:46 in recorded history.
06:48 The sheer scope and number of lives lost
06:51 or forever scarred by the events of this morning
06:54 is hard to wrap our minds around.
06:56 I have no doubt
06:58 that the perpetrators of this horrific act
07:01 did not anticipate
07:02 that as they planned to hurt humanity,
07:05 nature would also be about to unleash her own fury
07:08 at the very same time.
07:10 The chances of this occurring together
07:13 were almost zero.
07:14 One in billions and the combined effect
07:17 has been almost biblical in proportion.
07:26 It is obvious I think,
07:28 especially in light of recent events
07:30 such as the growth of the unity coalition
07:33 and our global efforts
07:35 to maintain a spiritual base presence
07:37 in every nation
07:39 that this is God's way of telling us,
07:42 we need to bond together to enforce a moral revolution.
07:47 Many of you have lost loved ones.
07:50 As you know, I have lost loved ones.
07:53 But now the nation is wondering what we will do.
07:56 The world is looking to us for leadership.
07:59 I have spoken
08:01 with representatives of other nations
08:03 as well as UN representatives
08:05 and I have their support in finding the guilty parties
08:08 of this act of terror.
08:10 But also in sanctioning those
08:12 who oppose the unity coalition in its cause.
08:16 I urge the rest of the world to join us
08:19 as we do God's work.
08:21 I wish to assure the citizens of this country,
08:24 and of those abroad
08:26 that we stand on the side of light,
08:29 and with God's help justice will be served and right
08:33 will be returned to our society.
08:35 Thank you.
08:36 God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
10:15 Brothers and sisters,
10:17 as we consider the world and the time in which we live,
10:20 I'm sure, you'd agree with me
10:21 that we're living in a very fast paced society.
10:24 I mean compared to a hundred years ago,
10:26 things have changed dramatically.
10:28 We are referred to as the now generation.
10:31 We want what we want and we want it now.
10:33 We're into quick fixes and get rich quick plans
10:36 and fast transportation, fast communication,
10:38 easy relationships
10:40 and of all these things plus many different activities,
10:43 we're being pulled in so many different directions.
10:46 And keep in mind that in the busyness of life,
10:49 it's important
10:50 that if you want to get anything done,
10:52 to make sure you manage your time wisely.
10:55 A schedule is very, very helpful.
10:58 We have deadlines and appointments,
11:00 things pulling us here and there and everywhere
11:03 and everything that we do is dependent upon time.
11:06 And, friends, the same is the case
11:09 in the spiritual realm.
11:11 I want us to notice what the Bible says
11:13 in the Book of Romans 13:11.
11:15 The Apostle Paul wrote this.
11:18 "And that, knowing the time,
11:21 that now it is a high time to awake out of sleep:
11:25 for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
11:29 The Bible calls us to realize that right now is a high time,
11:32 an urgent time, a solemn time.
11:35 It's not a time for us to be sleepy
11:37 but a time for us to arouse from spiritual slumber
11:40 because Jesus is coming soon.
11:44 Today, we're going to see
11:46 how we can know for sure that this,
11:48 His second coming is very, very near.
11:53 How many of you have ever had to catch a plane
11:55 that left very early in the morning?
11:57 If you're anything like me,
11:59 you know that the only way
12:00 you're gonna catch that plane is if you set the alarm clock.
12:04 You see the purpose of an alarm clock
12:07 is to make you aware of the current time
12:10 so that you can get up
12:11 and get ready before it's too late.
12:15 Have you ever slept through an alarm?
12:17 It's not a good thing, is it?
12:19 Have you ever hit the snooze button
12:20 over and over again just thinking to yourself,
12:22 oh, let me just sleep a little bit longer.
12:25 Well, friends,
12:26 God in His Holy Word has given us some alarms.
12:30 Alarms to help us wake up from spiritual slumber because,
12:33 friends, we have a celestial flight to catch.
12:37 A flight from earth to heaven.
12:39 But the only way,
12:40 we will be ready for that flight
12:42 is if we are stirred up
12:44 and awakened to realize the urgent and solemn time
12:47 in which we're living in today.
12:49 So God in His infinite mercy and love
12:52 has given us signs of alarms
12:55 to arouse us from spiritual slumber.
12:57 But it's tragic and unfortunate that many people are sleeping
13:01 through the alarms or worse yet,
13:03 they are actually some who are awakened momentarily
13:07 and they recognize the signs of the last days
13:09 and yet they are content to hit
13:11 the spiritual snooze button and they say,
13:14 let me just sleep a little bit longer.
13:18 But, friends, to sleep spiritually
13:21 during the signs that Jesus has given us,
13:24 to sleep spiritually
13:26 during this crisis hour is fatal.
13:30 I want to tell what Jesus said in Matthew 24:33.
13:34 Jesus here gives us signs of alarm.
13:37 He said, "So likewise you,
13:39 when you shall see all these things,
13:41 know that it is near, even at the doors."
13:45 In other words,
13:46 God has given us some visible signs
13:48 that we can see with our eyes
13:50 to let us know that the end of time
13:52 is very near.
13:53 It's almost here and it's not mere few.
13:57 So let's discover what are these signs of alarm
14:00 that Christ gave to arouse us from spiritual slumber.
14:02 I mean, how do we know
14:04 that we are really living at the end of the world?
14:07 Friends, as we consider
14:08 the economical, social, political,
14:10 natural and religious conditions
14:12 of our world,
14:13 we would discover that the only logical,
14:15 reasonable and consisting conclusion,
14:17 we can come to is that we are truly living
14:20 in the final hours of this world's history.
14:24 If this world is going to end, the question is how.
14:28 But we don't have to guess or speculate in our minds.
14:31 All we have to do is open the Word of God,
14:34 especially in the Book of Revelation,
14:36 God tells us how this world is gonna end.
14:38 In fact, He repeats it three times.
14:40 In the last chapter, of the last book of the Bible,
14:42 Revelation 22,
14:44 I want you to notice what the Bible says in verse 7.
14:47 Jesus says,
14:49 "Behold, I come quickly:
14:52 blessed is he that keeps
14:53 the sayings of the prophecy of this book."
14:56 And then He repeats it a second time in verse 12,
14:59 "And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me,
15:04 to give every man according as his work shall be."
15:07 And if twice wasn't enough,
15:08 Jesus says it the third time in verse 20.
15:12 "He who testifies of these things says,
15:14 surely, I come quickly.
15:18 Amen.
15:20 Even so, John the Revelator responds, come, Lord Jesus."
15:25 Here we find that in the last book of Bible,
15:27 the last chapter of the last book of the Bible,
15:30 Jesus repeats thrice,
15:32 three times, I am coming quickly.
15:35 I am coming quickly, then the third time He says,
15:38 surely I am coming quickly.
15:40 You see, friends,
15:42 the Book of Revelation beats
15:43 with a sense of urgency of the second coming,
15:45 the return of King Jesus.
15:47 This is how the world is gonna come to an end.
15:50 And it's a glorious hope
15:52 that God has given to His children
15:54 who are living in this crazy and chaotic world.
15:58 But the question is, how soon is soon?
16:01 How quickly is quickly and how near is near?
16:05 Haven't people in other generations believed
16:08 that Jesus was coming in their lifetime,
16:10 and yet those generations have passed off the scene
16:12 and Jesus had not yet come?
16:15 How do we know that we are not like
16:16 all the other previous generations
16:19 who thought Jesus would come but didn't.
16:22 Now, friends,
16:23 I know that in the Christian world today
16:26 there have been individuals who are doomsdayers.
16:30 People who'll talk about the end of time
16:31 in a sense of doom and gloom.
16:34 There are many people who have set false alarms
16:36 and certain dates
16:37 for the second coming of Christ.
16:38 And all these predictions have failed over and over again
16:41 and unfortunately many of these false alarms
16:45 have caused people to become desensitized
16:47 and callous to reality of the soon coming of Christ.
16:52 Just like the little child in the story of the boy
16:54 that cried wolf.
16:56 You remember that story, right?
16:58 The little boy gave false alarms.
17:01 When people came, nothing took place.
17:04 But those false alarms did not stop
17:07 the wolf from eventually coming
17:09 and just because there are many false alarms
17:11 in the religious world today,
17:13 doesn't mean that the wolf will never come.
17:16 Of all these false alarms have been given,
17:19 Jesus is still going to come, friends.
17:21 In fact notice
17:23 what the Bible says in Matthew 24:36.
17:26 Jesus says,
17:28 "But of that day and hour no one knows."
17:31 Friends, no one knows
17:32 the exact day or hour of Jesus' return.
17:36 However Christ has given us signs
17:38 to warn us that the end is very near.
17:41 He has given us these signs not to scare us
17:44 but so that we can sense the urgency of the hour
17:47 and prepare for His glorious return.
17:50 And, friends, I would like you to consider
17:53 that not only are religious people
17:55 talking about the end of time,
17:57 but I want us to notice
17:58 that even secularists, and humanists, and atheists,
18:01 and agnostics are recognizing
18:03 that we're living in unprecedented times.
18:07 A time in which a crisis is about to take place.
18:11 People today all over the world are realizing
18:13 that the time in which we live
18:15 now is different from just 50 years ago.
18:18 I invite you to notice with me a few examples of this.
18:22 I'm sure, many of you heard of Dr. Stephen Hawking.
18:25 He's an astrophysicist,
18:26 currently holding Sir
18:27 Isaac Newton's chair
18:29 of mathematics at Cambridge University.
18:30 He's written one
18:31 of the best-selling science books of all time,
18:34 entitled A Brief History of Time.
18:37 And this man, Dr. Stephen Hawkings
18:39 is known as by many as the greatest
18:42 scientific mind in the world today.
18:44 He's known as Einstein's successor.
18:46 But unfortunately this genius of a mind
18:48 is trapped in a debilitated body.
18:51 He has Lou Gehrig's disease
18:53 which means he's confined to a wheelchair.
18:55 He can't speak.
18:56 He has a little bit of movement in his hand and fingers
18:59 which enables him to speak
19:00 through a voice synchronizer as he types on the screen.
19:03 And not long ago,
19:05 Dr. Stephen Hawking
19:06 had a speech at Cornell University.
19:09 He was giving a lecture to a group of thought leaders,
19:12 lecturing about the future of mankind
19:14 and the future of our world.
19:15 Now I want you to notice
19:16 what this secular scientific mind had to say
19:18 and keep in mind, friends, he's an atheist.
19:21 He does not believe in the Bible or God.
19:24 But I want you to notice
19:26 what this scientific atheistic mind
19:28 had to say concerning the time in which we live.
19:31 Dr. Stephen Hawking said and I quote,
19:34 "Our long term survival
19:36 and any hope for our species is in question.
19:39 However if we can keep from destroying each other
19:42 for the next one hundred years,
19:44 sufficient technology
19:45 would develop to distribute humanity
19:48 to various planets and then no one tragedy
19:52 or atrocity will eradicate all at the same time."
19:57 Dr. Stephen Hawking, a scientific, secular,
20:01 atheistic minded,
20:03 as he considered the condition of our world,
20:05 he said that we're living
20:06 in a very questionable time in this world's history.
20:09 And his solution to the problems
20:11 that we're facing in our world is science.
20:14 He says that as technology develops,
20:17 we can go to other planets and so that
20:19 if there is a tragedy or catastrophe
20:22 that will take place on earth,
20:23 that the human species will continue to survive
20:27 on different planets.
20:29 Here savior is science.
20:32 Oh, friends, I want to submit to you
20:33 that we need a far greater savior
20:35 than what science can offer.
20:37 But here is an example of a secular mind,
20:40 not a religious mind,
20:42 but a secular mind's perspective
20:43 on the end of time.
20:45 Here is another example for you to consider.
20:48 A man by the name of Eugene Linden.
20:50 Eugene Linden is an award winning
20:51 journalist and author.
20:53 He writes for many high profile secular magazines
20:56 like Time and Wall Street Journal
20:58 and National Geographic and Fortune Magazine.
21:01 He also wrote a book entitled "The Future in Plain Sight'.
21:06 He's writing from a non-religious,
21:08 non-biblical point of view,
21:10 and in this book Eugene Linden
21:11 gives nine compelling arguments
21:14 as to why this world can't last much longer
21:17 in the condition it's in today.
21:19 Nine clues to the coming instability and, friends,
21:23 as we compare what the secular minds are saying
21:25 to what the Bible says, the only logical reasonable,
21:29 intelligent common sense conclusion
21:31 we can come to
21:33 is that the end of time is very near.
21:35 It's almost here and it's not mere few.
21:39 See, friends, the only solution to the problem
21:42 that we are facing in our world today
21:44 is the second coming of Christ.
21:47 You see, my brothers and my sisters,
21:48 there is no politician or political party
21:52 that has the answers to the problems our world
21:54 is facing today.
21:56 Free healthcare is not going to stop disease and death.
22:00 Bearing arms is not going to keep people safe.
22:03 Welfare is not going to stop hunger and homelessness.
22:06 National security will not stop the conflict and the chaos.
22:10 Making more laws is not going to stop
22:13 the lawlessness in our world.
22:14 The only solution to the pollution,
22:17 the only answer to the cancer of our world
22:19 is the coming of Christ and, friends,
22:21 I'm so glad that He's coming soon.
22:24 He's coming soon, He's coming soon.
22:28 So I encourage you, I invite you,
22:30 I challenge you to get ready, get ready, get ready,
22:34 Jesus is coming soon.
23:17 I was there in the beginning watching
23:20 from above as Adam and his wife Eve
23:22 were promised that the deliverer would come.
23:34 Even there in the unfolding of earth's history,
23:38 the plans of God were laid and etched into prophetic time.
23:49 Throughout the millennia in which I have served
23:52 as God's messenger,
23:54 I've witnessed the ebb and flow of empires,
23:58 the rise and fall of kings.
24:05 I've seen famine, fire, flood,
24:10 conquest and triumph.
24:14 I smiled as men and women learned of the heavens
24:18 and when they reached them, I swelled with pride.
24:27 Yet, man can be so arrogant.
24:34 He believes that he is the author
24:37 of his destiny,
24:38 that he is the writer of history.
24:42 He believes that upon his shoulders
24:45 the future is carried
24:47 and that at his own efforts the past is laid.
24:54 But truly, the past, present and the future spawn
25:01 in the mind and lie
25:04 in the hands of one,
25:08 the author, the writer,
25:13 the king and forever...
25:25 He reigns.
26:06 In the early '80s,
26:08 there was a controversy in our church
26:12 over the understanding of some of our doctrines.
26:17 They were seriously brought into question
26:20 by a couple of very well known
26:24 and very educated individuals.
26:27 And so as I was praying about it,
26:30 the thought occurred to my mind and that was this,
26:33 to take my Book of Daniel
26:36 and to read it over and over again.
26:40 And, my friends,
26:42 it was one of the most thrilling experiences
26:44 I've ever had.
26:46 I clearly saw that what we teach
26:49 about the prophecies
26:51 in the Book of Daniel are real and true.
26:54 So what I hope to accomplish with you
26:58 is that I would inspire you to read your Bible,
27:03 especially the Book of Daniel
27:06 because if you do,
27:08 you will be tremendously blessed
27:10 the way I was.
27:13 So take your Bibles and turn to chapter 2.
27:18 "Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign,
27:22 Nebuchadnezzar had dreams,
27:26 and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him.
27:31 Then the king gave the command to call the magicians,
27:34 the astrologers, the sorcerers,
27:36 the Chaldeans to tell the king his dream.
27:41 So they came and they stood before the king.
27:45 And the king said to them, "I have had a dream,
27:48 and my spirit is anxious to know the dream."
27:53 And then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic,
27:57 "O king, liver forever!
28:00 Tell your servants the dream,
28:03 and we will give you the interpretation."
28:07 This interaction between
28:09 the king and the wise men went on three times in a row,
28:14 and all three times they made excuses
28:17 because they knew, they could not deliver.
28:20 Finally the king lost his temper
28:23 and declared that all of them are going to be destroyed
28:26 if they can't tell the dream as well as the interpretation
28:32 and that's when
28:33 the executioner came to Daniel's door.
28:36 Now, we find this to be very interesting,
28:40 for we're pretty sure that Daniel wasn't called
28:42 in with the wise men,
28:44 probably because
28:46 he's a foreigner and they don't like him.
28:50 But when they go to execute,
28:52 they come to Daniel and Daniel asked them,
28:55 what are you doing, and why are you doing this?
28:58 He told them the story.
29:00 So Daniel then went to the king and asked for time
29:04 and, folks, here we are in a serious situation,
29:07 Daniel's life is on the line and what does he do?
29:11 He comes back to his room,
29:13 he gets Shadrach Meshach and Abednego
29:16 and they have a prayer meeting.
29:19 That's exactly what it says here in the Bible.
29:23 It says, "That they might seek the mercies of God..."
29:26 Verse 18.
29:28 "The God of heaven concerning the secret,
29:31 so that Daniel and his companions
29:33 might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon."
29:38 We need to be praying people like Daniel.
29:41 In fact, what would happen, if you were told,
29:43 we came to kill you,
29:46 would you think of prayer first
29:47 or would you think of everything else?
29:49 Daniel said, give me time,
29:51 then he went and prayed and God gave him the answer.
29:56 And so he comes to the king and this is...
29:59 Here is one of the high points of the chapter to me.
30:04 Daniel answered in the presence of the king and he said,
30:07 "The secret which the king has demanded,
30:10 the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians,
30:12 the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.
30:17 But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets,
30:21 and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar
30:24 what will be in the latter days.
30:27 Your dream, and your vision on your head
30:30 upon your bed, are these."
30:32 My friends, there might be something here
30:34 you never noticed.
30:36 Daniel said there is a God in heaven who does what?
30:42 He reveal secrets.
30:45 In fact, I want you to look at how many time
30:48 the word secret is in chapter 2
30:53 is repeated over and over.
30:56 And I just hear God trying to say,
30:59 my people, this book holds the wisdom.
31:03 Not the universities,
31:06 not the internet necessarily but this book.
31:11 God is the one who reveal secrets.
31:13 Have you ever felt I can never understand
31:15 the Book of Revelation?
31:17 Have you ever felt that I don't,
31:19 I can never understand
31:21 the prophecies of the Book of Daniel.
31:24 Then pray, my friend.
31:26 That's what God is waiting for His people to do.
31:29 In the last days, there is gonna be a crisis,
31:31 the crisis is coming.
31:32 People need to be prayed up.
31:35 They need to pray about everything all the time.
31:37 We need to be praying churches.
31:40 We need to be praying pastors.
31:42 We need to be praying people.
31:45 God reveal secrets.
31:47 In fact, you know, what Amos says,
31:49 "He reveals His secrets to His servants, the prophets."
31:52 Therefore we should be reading
31:54 the Books of Daniel and Revelation.
31:56 We should be studying them
31:58 and when we are perplexed we should pray about it.
32:01 That's what Daniel did, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah.
32:04 And God revealed it to Daniel.
32:14 Daniel answered in the presence of the king and said,
32:19 "You, O king, were watching,
32:22 and behold, a great image!
32:28 This great image, whose splendor was excellent,
32:32 stood before you, and its form was awesome.
32:37 This image's head was of fine gold,
32:40 its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze,
32:47 its legs of iron,
32:50 its feet partly of iron
32:53 and partly of clay.
32:58 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands
33:02 and struck the image on its feet of iron and clay,
33:06 and broke them in pieces.
33:11 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver,
33:14 and the gold were crushed together,
33:17 and became like chaff
33:19 from the summer threshing floors,
33:22 the wind carried them away
33:24 so that no trace of them was found.
33:27 And the stone that struck the image
33:29 became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
33:36 This is the dream.
33:38 Now we will tell the interpretation of it
33:41 before the king.
33:43 You, O king, are a king of kings.
33:48 For the God of heaven
33:49 has given you a kingdom, power, strength,
33:53 and glory, and wherever the children of men dwell,
33:57 or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven,
34:01 He has given them into your hand,
34:04 and has made you ruler over them all.
34:07 You are this head of gold.
34:12 But after you shall arise
34:14 another kingdom inferior to yours,
34:17 then another, a third kingdom of bronze,
34:21 which shall rule over all the earth.
34:25 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron,
34:29 inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces
34:32 and shatters everything, and like iron that crushes,
34:37 that kingdom will break in pieces
34:40 and crush all the others.
34:43 Whereas you saw the feet and toes,
34:45 partly of potter's clay and partly of iron,
34:49 the kingdom shall be divided,
34:51 yet the strength of the iron shall be in it,
34:55 just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay.
35:00 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron
35:03 and partly of clay,
35:05 so the kingdom shall be partly strong
35:08 and partly fragile.
35:10 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay,
35:13 they will mingle with the seed of men,
35:16 but they will not adhere to one another,
35:20 just as iron does not mix with clay.
35:24 And in the days of these kings
35:26 the God of heaven will set up a kingdom
35:30 which shall never be destroyed,
35:32 and the kingdom shall not be left
35:34 to other people,
35:36 it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms,
35:41 and it shall stand forever.
35:45 Inasmuch as you saw the stone
35:47 was cut out of the mountain without hands,
35:50 and that it broke in pieces the iron,
35:53 the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold,
35:59 the great God has made known to the king
36:03 what will come to pass after this.
36:07 The dream is certain,
36:09 and the interpretation is sure."
36:18 And so he tells the king,
36:20 you saw a great image and the king's eyes got wide.
36:23 Oh, yeah, but it was peculiar.
36:26 Well, they had many different metals.
36:29 Oh, that's right.
36:31 Head of gold, breast and arms of silver,
36:34 thighs of brass, legs of iron,
36:37 toes of iron and clay
36:39 and then a rock was cut out without hand
36:41 and smote the image at the feet and the whole image
36:44 just disappeared and blew away
36:47 and the rock filled the whole world.
36:50 That's it Daniel, that's it.
36:53 You're right, you know it, you knew it.
36:55 This is incredible. What does it mean?
36:57 What does it mean?
36:59 And then Daniel told him.
37:02 King, you're that head of gold
37:05 but after you there is going to be another kingdom.
37:09 Now, my friends, when we study prophecy,
37:11 one of the things we have to do
37:13 is let the Bible interpret itself.
37:16 And so now we know that in prophecy,
37:19 metal represent kingdoms and they follow in order
37:24 and the description
37:26 of these kingdoms give a clue to who they represent.
37:32 But Daniel immediately pinpointed in chapter 2
37:37 that Babylon is the head of gold.
37:40 What kingdom followed Babylon?
37:42 Get out your history book.
37:44 Medo-Persia overthrew Babylon.
37:47 Who overthrew Medo-Persia?
37:49 The Greeks overthrew Persia.
37:52 And you'll find that the history
37:54 is laid out for us here.
37:56 And then he goes down,
37:58 he gets all the way to the legs of iron
38:02 which stand for the Roman Empire
38:05 and then he says something very interesting.
38:09 Verse 40,
38:11 "And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron,
38:15 inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces
38:17 and shatters everything,
38:19 like the iron that crushes,
38:21 the kingdom will break in pieces
38:23 and crush all others.
38:26 Whereas you saw the feet and the toes,
38:29 part of potter's clay and part of iron,
38:32 the kingdom shall be divided."
38:38 How would anyone but a prophet know
38:41 that after the fourth world kingdom Rome,
38:45 there would be no fifth world kingdom.
38:48 It would be a divided one,
38:50 and so we see
38:52 that embedded in the prophecies themselves
38:56 are these proofs that we need to show us
38:59 that Daniel indeed was a prophet
39:01 just like Jesus said he was.
39:04 And that he can be trusted these prophecies are real.
39:08 These stories are true and we must study them.
39:13 And so he said,
39:15 this kingdom will be divided
39:19 and not only that, I want you to jump to verse 43.
39:24 "As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay,
39:28 they will mingle with the seed of men,
39:31 but they will not adhere to one another,
39:34 just as iron does not mix with clay."
39:39 And I point that out to you
39:40 because, he said, it would be a divided kingdom.
39:43 It will never unite and throughout history
39:45 there has been a number of individuals
39:48 who have tried to unite it
39:49 and it has never ever worked.
39:51 Why?
39:53 Because the Bible says
39:54 they will not cleave one to another.
39:58 They will not unite.
40:00 They will always be separate and even some thought
40:03 when the Euro Zone came in
40:05 that this was going to defeat the prophecy,
40:08 but you can already see
40:10 that there is people pulling away from the Euro Zone
40:13 or it's nothing more than
40:15 just an alliance on a piece of paper.
40:17 They still are the individual nations,
40:21 political units themselves with their own leaders.
40:25 They will not cling together.
40:28 Until the coming of Jesus Christ,
40:30 they will be separate.
40:33 And so we see how important prophecy is.
40:36 It prepares us for the future and we can look back
40:40 and we can see what has happened,
40:43 the Bible said would happen,
40:45 and now we have confidence in the Bible
40:48 in spite of the fact
40:49 that many intellectuals today are ridiculing the Bible,
40:56 its veracity and Christians
40:58 in general for believing this.
41:03 In verse 44,
41:05 there are in my Bible seven words
41:09 that are just outstanding.
41:11 And here is what it says.
41:13 And in the days of these kings, what kings?
41:18 In the days of divided kingdom of Europe,
41:23 what will happen?
41:25 The God of heaven will set up a kingdom
41:29 which shall never be destroyed
41:30 and the kingdom
41:32 shall not be left to other people,
41:34 it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms,
41:38 and it shall stand forever.
41:41 My friends, we're living in that day
41:44 even though the Europe
41:46 has been in existence for a while now,
41:48 we're living in that day.
41:50 Why is it taking so long?
41:52 Because God is waiting for more people to accept Him
41:55 so He can have a bigger kingdom than He has now.
41:59 He's waiting for His people
42:01 to sow longingly desire His coming
42:05 that we will help further His kingdom
42:09 and final decisions will be made on both side
42:13 and He can hasten back.
42:55 Imagine having the most dire yet most wonderful
42:58 and most important message
43:00 ever to be given to the human species.
43:09 Imagine how after seeing millennia of suffering, war,
43:14 trials, plague and fear,
43:17 you bear good news of a coming deliverance.
43:20 You bear glad tidings of the end of war.
43:25 You bear this news yet few will listen.
43:39 Since the beginning, we have walked among you,
43:43 sometimes seen, mostly unseen.
43:47 We've cried when you've cried, cheered when you've tried,
43:51 triumphed when you triumphed.
43:54 We've merged leaders,
43:56 shielded prophets, turned battles,
43:59 working behind the scenes to protect,
44:03 to guide history,
44:04 fight injustice and to fulfill prophecy.
44:16 We have this duty
44:19 in the quest to carry out God's will
44:21 to save you.
44:25 Ye, even when you crucified Him,
44:29 we stood by awe
44:31 so that salvation may be reachable,
44:34 and that one day
44:36 we could bring this message to you.
44:41 The King is coming.
44:44 The King is coming.
44:47 The King is coming.
44:54 Yet few will listen.
44:57 Maybe you hope to hide behind ignorance,
45:00 maybe you feel that by closing your ears,
45:04 your eyes, this wretched age may last a bit longer.
45:09 You may live in sin a bit longer
45:13 and Jesus will forever delay.
45:18 But may friends,
45:21 he that shall come will come and will not tarry.
46:00 After all you have endured,
46:03 after all He has endured for you,
46:06 hear this message and be ready.
49:01 In chapter 14 of the Book of Revelation...
49:08 the work of the church is announced.
49:14 Angels fly carrying the great message
49:16 representing the work of the church.
49:23 And then as you get down toward the end of that book,
49:26 it describes the beginning of the end
49:31 of Christ's enemy.
49:34 In Revelation Christ wins.
49:39 In the Book of Revelation Christ wins,
49:41 therefore the believers win.
49:46 It's like the end of the movie,
49:50 the events, the last events are rapid ones.
49:53 The work of the church,
49:55 the beginning of the fall of Babylon,
49:58 Revelation 14.
50:00 Seven last plagues are announced,
50:02 Revelation 15.
50:04 Seven last plagues fall, Revelation 16.
50:09 The last exposure and identity of the wicked church
50:14 represented as a woman, chapter 17.
50:18 The wickedness of the church that is,
50:21 that part of the church that is anti-God, anti-Christ,
50:24 that part of the church that would distort His word
50:27 and distort His message
50:28 and His character falls in chapter 18.
50:31 And then in chapter 19
50:34 verse 11.
50:37 "And I saw heaven opened,
50:41 and behold a white horse,
50:44 and he that sat up on him called Faithful and True,
50:49 and in righteousness he doth and make war.
50:52 His eyes, verse 12:19, were as a flame of fire,
50:58 on his head were many crowns, and he had a name written,
51:03 that no man knew but he himself.
51:07 And he was clothed
51:08 with a vesture dipped in blood."
51:11 Verse 13 of chapter 19,
51:12 "And his name is called the Word of God."
51:15 And I told you,
51:18 how that Revelation dips into every book in the Bible.
51:21 It's in John.
51:23 When John wrote his gospel,
51:26 he identifies Jesus as the Word of God.
51:28 In the beginning was the Word, remember,
51:31 and the Word was with God and the Word was God,
51:33 all things were made by Him,
51:35 without him wasn't anything that was made,
51:39 and then in verse 14 and the Word was made flesh.
51:43 Well, we know without a question then
51:46 that this person riding this horse
51:51 is in fact Jesus Christ Himself.
51:56 Verse 14, "And the armies
51:58 which were in heaven followed him
51:59 upon white horses,
52:00 clothed in fine linen, white and clean."
52:03 Now this is the same dress
52:06 that's described to God's people
52:08 in chapter seven and in chapter 14.
52:12 "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword..."
52:14 Of course we know in Hebrews,
52:16 see all of the Bible comes in Revelation,
52:18 Hebrews, "The word of God is called a sword
52:21 and with it he should smite the nations,
52:23 he shall rule them with a rod of iron."
52:26 Remember, rod of iron, that was in chapter 12.
52:29 That they will rule with a rod of iron.
52:31 So this is the same Jesus.
52:34 "And he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness
52:36 and the wrath of Almighty God.
52:39 And he hath on his vesture
52:40 and on his thigh a name written,
52:42 King of kings, and Lord of lords."
52:48 It's Jesus.
52:49 In Revelation, Jesus wins.
52:55 It's the most comforting aspect of the book.
53:01 Without His victory, we have no victory.
53:05 Without His success, we have no success.
53:10 Without His overcoming, we cannot overcome.
53:15 Without His death,
53:18 His life, His resurrection,
53:22 His ascension, we can have none of that.
53:26 In fact Paul said it.
53:28 He said, if Christ did not die and raised,
53:30 then we have lived in vain.
53:32 We believed in vain.
53:35 In Revelation,
53:37 Christ wins.
53:43 Revelation 20 then,
53:44 it introduces us to that period of a thousand year
53:47 when the earth is desolate and Satan is locked in a pit,
53:51 the bottomless pit is this earth.
53:53 With no human beings alive because when Jesus comes,
53:57 the living wicked are struck dead.
54:01 The dead wicked stay dead.
54:03 The righteous dead rise up
54:06 and the righteous living are caught up.
54:09 So the earth is desolate for thousand years.
54:12 And in Revelation 20 reveal that we are with Christ,
54:17 judging, judging, marvelous,
54:20 marvelous piece in Revelation 20.
54:22 And then in Revelation 21...
54:28 "I saw new heavens and a new earth:
54:32 for the first heaven
54:34 and the first earth were passed away,
54:38 there was no more sea."
54:39 We're going all the way back now to Genesis,
54:41 the Book of Genesis, remember.
54:42 When the earth was made, there were rivers but no seas.
54:46 The new heavens and a new earth.
54:48 The earth will be remade, like it was before.
54:53 But it gets better than that.
54:55 "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
54:58 coming down from God out of heaven,
55:00 prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
55:02 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
55:04 Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
55:08 he will dwell with them, they shall be his people,
55:11 God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
55:13 Christ now makes this planet over
55:17 which the great controversy
55:18 has been fought His headquarters.
55:22 So since in Revelation,
55:23 Jesus wins in Revelation we win.
55:32 Great victory, "God, verse 4,
55:34 shall wipe away all tears from their eyes,
55:35 and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
55:38 nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain,
55:41 for the former things are passed away."
55:48 It's in the Book of 2 Peter
55:53 that we read that when Christ comes,
55:55 the very elements will melt with fervent heat.
55:57 I keep telling you that Revelation
55:59 has in it every part of the Bible.
56:03 But now let me just pause a minute here.
56:07 Christ wins, we win but let me pause.
56:11 You cannot read the Book of Revelation
56:16 without understanding how totally devastating sin
56:21 has been to this planet.
56:25 The molecules...
56:29 the Bible calls them the elements,
56:32 the atoms, the bacteria,
56:38 the viruses.
56:42 We're just a polluted people
56:45 living on a polluted planet
56:49 saved by an undefiled God.
56:56 And this is why Christ has to do it.
56:59 See only the creator can recreate
57:04 and sin has been so devastating,
57:06 so demeaning, so destructive to this planet,
57:11 it needs recreation.
57:13 You can't...
57:14 It's like a house that has been in a storm.
57:18 You can't go and repaint the walls.
57:20 You have to tear the walls down.
57:24 You got to tear it down.
57:27 You got to do demolition before you do reconstruction.
57:30 That's how this planet is.
57:32 That's how we are.
57:34 So Jesus declares
57:35 that this mortal shall put on immortality,
57:37 this corruptible shall put on incorruption.
57:40 He has to redo the whole thing.
57:43 Oh, by the way,
57:44 it's time for me to say
57:45 therefore that the only thing that's gonna go with you
57:48 from this earth to the next is your character.
57:53 Your connection with Jesus
57:56 and the Book of Revelation appeals to you.
57:58 I mean listen, listen, look at this, look at this,
58:01 look at this, look at this.
58:02 "And the Spirit and the bride, Revelation 22, say Come.
58:06 Let him that heareth say, Come.
58:08 Let him that is athirst come.
58:10 Whosoever will let him come
58:11 and take of the water of life freely."
58:14 Revelation ends with an appeal, an appeal.
58:20 Accept the Jesus who did it.
58:24 Accept the Jesus who died.
58:28 Accept the Jesus who took the book of seals and owned it.
58:31 Accept the Jesus who stands at the door and knock saying,
58:35 if any man here, let him come.
58:37 Accept that Jesus, the book ends in an appeal.
58:44 Verse 14, Revelation 22,
58:48 "Blessed are they that do his commandments,
58:51 that they may have right to the tree of life,
58:54 and may enter in through the gates into the city."
58:56 Do you see it?
58:58 Revelation 21 paints that new world.
59:01 And no more death and dying, and crying and pain,
59:04 and so forth,
59:05 and how that earth is gonna look
59:07 and no darkness there
59:09 and oh, it's all marvelous, it's marvelous,
59:12 but Christ wins
59:15 and the question is will you win?
59:24 Let me put it a bit more frankly.
59:28 Are you a born loser?
59:34 No, you're not. You know, you're not.
59:39 You hook your wagon now to the Christ who win.
59:42 You hook your wagon to the Jesus who came.
59:46 You hook your wagon
59:49 to the Christ revealed in the Book of Revelation,
59:52 You hook your hope and your faith to the Jesus
59:56 who can defeat His enemy while hanging on a cross.
01:00:00 You hook your hopes to the Christ
01:00:04 who has power over death.
01:00:07 And He's introduced that way in the very beginning
01:00:10 of the Book of Revelation.
01:00:12 He's introduced that way, I'm the Alpha and the Omega,
01:00:16 the beginning and the end.
01:00:19 Which is and which was, which is to come,
01:00:24 the all mighty in the Book of Revelation.
01:00:29 Jesus wins
01:00:33 and the whole purpose of the book
01:00:36 is to reveal to you how He does it.
01:00:41 He does it
01:00:44 by keeping the commandments of God.
01:00:48 He does it
01:00:51 by staying true to the Father
01:00:54 and He does it
01:00:57 by being unwavering in His loyalty to that Father.
01:01:05 Therefore, you can.
01:01:13 Don't miss part two of Daniel and the Revelation,
01:01:17 "The Return of Christ".
