Yeah. 05:40 And this is a season of Thanksgiving, 05:41 where to be reminded of all the blessings 05:43 and the wonderfulness that God has bestowed upon us as people 05:47 and when we gather together as family, 05:49 like we do, and we get to commune together 05:51 and visit together, 05:52 we have to always be reminded that it's all about Him, right? 05:55 We wouldn't be where we are without the cross, 05:56 without Jesus. 05:58 And I praise God 05:59 so what we're gonna be singing about today. 06:00 Yeah. Yeah, it really is. 13:26 Giving God praise during this time, 13:27 we should always praise God, 13:28 I praise God every day in some way form or fashion. 13:31 Bible says, He's worthy of our praise, right? 13:33 He truly is. 13:35 And, you know, 13:36 I love the time of Thanksgiving, 13:37 as I've mentioned 13:39 because not just you can come together 13:40 and commune and be with family, 13:42 but that you can stop and be reminded 13:44 of why you're here, be reminded of your purpose, 13:49 be reminded that you wouldn't be here 13:50 if it wasn't for God. 13:51 Right. 13:53 You know, we often look at all of our things in life, 13:54 you know, the home and the vehicle, 13:56 and the job, and, you know, 13:57 the prosperity that God has blessed us with. 13:59 And we often look at that 14:01 and go, "Oh, yeah, I'm blessed." 14:02 But, you know, without God, 14:04 none of that would be possible, right? 14:05 Right. yeah. 14:06 And so that's what this season of Thanksgiving is all about. 14:08 And, you know, Tim, 14:10 there was never a dull moment in the Day family house 14:14 on Thanksgiving growing up... 14:16 I can imagine. 14:17 We were all and still are very much a close family. 14:20 And, you know, what you and I are doing right now, 14:23 we would often do this in our home, 14:25 anytime we would come together 14:26 for some type of holiday gathering, 14:28 whether it was Christmas or Thanksgiving 14:30 or whatever gathering, we would always play music 14:32 and I know how it was in your home, 14:33 you seem to have a pretty musical family as well. 14:35 Same musical, right? 14:36 Absolutely. Yeah. 14:37 But I'll never forget all those days, 14:39 you know, as a little kid, 14:40 you know, my dad would pull out his guitar, 14:42 my mom would get on the piano at times, 14:43 and we would all just stand 14:45 around the room on Thanksgiving. 14:46 And we would sing praises to the Lord. 14:48 All the things that we were thankful about 14:50 and lifting praise to God 14:51 and that was instill within us from the time 14:53 that we were a kid to be thankful 14:55 and to be thankful for all the blessings 14:57 that God had given us as a family 14:59 and as a people, 15:01 and I mentioned there was never a dull moment 15:03 around our house. 15:04 I think I actually have a video footage 15:07 that I dug out I found of my mom was videoing, 15:10 otherwise she would have been on the piano, 15:12 but my mom is videoing in this clip 15:14 that we're about to watch. 15:15 And it was me I don't even know, 15:16 I think I was maybe three pushing four 15:19 somewhere around there, maybe four years old. 15:21 And my dad is playing the guitar 15:23 so this is kind of give you an idea 15:25 of what it might have been 15:26 like around the Day family house quite often, 15:28 but especially on holidays, 15:29 especially on Thanksgiving 15:31 when all the family move together, 15:32 but this is kind of an idea of what it was like. 15:34 This would be good. 15:36 All right. 15:39 That's good, Ryan. Praise the Lord. 24:40 You know, there are so many wonderful songs 24:44 that come to my mind 24:45 when it comes to giving God praise 24:47 and extending the Thanksgiving to Him, 24:51 but there is... 24:53 A few years ago I heard this song here 24:54 that we're about to sing. 24:56 And it's so simple, 25:00 but the melody of it, the words of it, 25:02 just kind of grips my heart. 25:04 And it's the title of the song 25:06 as simple as just Give Thanks, right? 25:09 And it ends with that. 25:11 Not irritating repetitiveness, but that repetitive, 25:14 Give Thanks, Give Thanks. 25:16 And we need to be reminded always that, 25:19 you know, God loves us. 25:22 And He wants us to return that love to Him, 25:25 but the beautiful thing about God's love is 25:26 it's not forceful. 25:28 He bestows all of His goodness upon us, 25:30 and sometimes we forget it, 25:32 but that's what Thanksgiving is all about. 25:34 It's time to pause and stop and say, 25:35 wait a second, 25:36 let me take an assessment of my life. 25:39 Really, it all comes down to one thing. 25:41 He deserves praise. 25:42 He deserves Thanksgiving. 25:44 Always be reminded to Give Thanks. 26:04 Give thanks with a grateful heart 26:09 Give thanks to the Holy One 26:14 Give thanks because He's given 26:18 Jesus Christ, His Son 26:25 Give thanks with a grateful heart 26:30 Give thanks to the Holy One 26:36 Give thanks because He's given 26:40 Jesus Christ, His Son 26:47 And now let the weak say 26:52 "I am strong" 26:55 Let the poor say, "I am rich 27:00 Because of what the Lord 27:03 Has done for us" 27:08 And now let the weak say 27:12 "I am strong" 27:15 Let the poor say, "I am rich 27:21 Because of what the Lord 27:24 Has done for us" 27:30 Give thanks 27:33 Oh, give thanks 27:36 Give thanks 27:39 We give you thanks Lord 27:41 Oh, give thanks 27:44 Lord we give you thanks 27:47 Give thanks 28:00 Happy Thanksgiving, Brother. 28:02 Happy Thanksgiving to you too, friend. 28:03 Blessed to be here with you. |
