00:30 James: Well, we are nearing home, so to speak, 00:33 yeah, in a spiritual sense 00:35 as well as in a literal sense in the book of Daniel, 00:38 we are in Daniel chapter 11 and we are at about verse 43, 00:43 not that we're stuck there 00:45 and we can't go backwards if we need to, 00:47 right, review a little bit, 00:48 but 43, 44, 45 is going to take us to the end of the chapter 00:52 but not the end of the vision. 00:54 The vision doesn't end until Daniel chapter 12 verse 3, 00:58 so, we've got three verses in 11 and three verses in 12 01:01 that are all connected together 01:03 and then we'll be done with this little section 01:07 and we'll get into chapter 12... 4 through 13 01:09 which really is kind of like a "close" if you will, 01:13 you know, you've got your prologue and your epilogue 01:17 and this is going to be the epilogue. 01:19 It's kind of going give Daniel instruction 01:20 as to what's going to happen to the visions he's been shown 01:23 and that part that he didn't understand 01:24 and when they're going to be kind of opened up or unsealed, 01:27 they're going to be sealed and then unsealed 01:29 at a certain time in history, 01:30 so, that's what we've got left basically... 01:32 there's still a lot of information here 01:34 and the reason this is so important... well, two reasons, 01:36 one is, a lot of this is for our time and the future 01:40 but we also need to remember that we've got to be careful 01:44 because it's unfulfilled prophecy... 01:47 we're not necessarily going to be able to just say, 01:51 "This is what it is... " 01:52 like we've been doing in... in past meetings, 01:54 we've been able to... nailed it down 01:56 because we've been looking at history past 01:58 and lining up with Bible prophecy. 01:59 Here we're looking at a lot of history... future... 02:02 but if we can at least parallel this to the book of Revelation 02:06 and some of the future prophecies there 02:08 in Revelation 13 02:09 and they can give us a little bit of an idea 02:11 as we connect the two together of what's coming 02:13 as it's outlined here in Daniel 11. 02:15 So, without further ado, let's... let's start with prayer 02:19 Yvonne, would you like to pray for us? 02:21 Yvonne: Sure, sure... 02:22 "Dear Lord, we thank You so very much 02:24 once again for bringing us together 02:26 to study Your Word and to learn these amazing, 02:30 amazing truths that You've placed here, 02:32 so, we pray for the guidance and leadership of Your Holy Spirit. 02:36 We thank You once again for all that You're doing... 02:39 for who You are, in Jesus' name, amen. " 02:40 All: Amen. 02:42 James: All right, Daniel chapter 11... 02:44 can you take us up here Jason to verse 45... from 43 to 45? 02:48 Jason: Sure thing, 02:49 "He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, 02:53 and over all the precious things of Egypt; 02:55 also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 02:59 But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; 03:03 therefore he shall go out with great fury 03:06 to destroy and annihilate many. 03:09 And he shall plant the tents of his palace 03:12 between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; 03:15 yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. " 03:19 James: Okay, in these verses, we're seeing the consummation 03:25 of a worldwide control... economic control of all people, 03:30 it's the same thing we see in Revelation 13, 03:33 it says there... the whole world is going to follow the beast 03:36 and it doesn't matter if you're high or low... rich or poor... 03:40 free or bond... you're going to receive a mark in the forehead 03:43 or in the hand... and no one is going to be able to buy or sell 03:46 unless they have this mark. 03:47 Yvonne: Hmmm... 03:49 James: And so, we see a parallel there 03:50 between Revelation chapter 13 and Daniel chapter 11 03:54 because Daniel 11 is talking about 03:56 having control of the gold and silver 03:59 and precious things of Egypt... 04:01 it's talking about the Ethiopians 04:03 which... Ethiopia... we understand, 04:06 a country in the African Continent... 04:08 the Libyans... though that's in Africa... 04:10 we think of the Middle East when we think of Libya... 04:12 we've already talked about Egypt being a symbol... 04:15 representation of Atheism... 04:17 specifically here probably China 04:20 and other Atheistic countries that are still very strong... 04:22 Communist countries still very strong today... 04:23 we talked in verse 40 of the king of the south being USSR 04:27 the symbolism of the glorious land... 04:30 you know, this land flowing with milk and honey 04:31 in the Old Testament... 04:33 New Testament... we'd see that as the United States... 04:35 in Revelation chapter 13, we see a beast coming out of the earth 04:40 with two horns like a lamb... 04:41 we identify that as the United States, 04:44 so, we've got a correlation here between these two chapters. 04:48 In fact, you could even say 04:50 and just... just follow me with this if you will... 04:54 you could even say that Revelation 13 is Daniel 13. 04:58 Yvonne: Hmmm... 05:00 James: Because, think about this, 05:01 Daniel chapter 2... Daniel chapter 7... 05:04 Daniel chapter 4... excuse me, chapter 7... 05:07 Daniel 8... and Daniel 11 05:09 all have the same basic outline, 05:11 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, God's Kingdom... 05:13 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, God's Kingdom, 05:16 Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, God's Kingdom... 05:17 Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and God's Kingdom. 05:19 When you go to Revelation chapter 13, 05:21 let's look at this real quick, 05:22 Revelation chapter 13 and verse 1, 05:25 and, Yvonne, would you read that verse for us, 05:29 Revelation chapter 13 verse 1, 05:31 or, verses 1 and 2... 05:33 Yvonne: "Then I stood on the sand of the sea, 05:36 and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, 05:38 having seven heads and ten horns, 05:41 and on his horns ten crowns, 05:43 and on his heads a blasphemous name. 05:46 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, 05:49 his feet were like the feet of a bear, 05:51 and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. 05:54 The dragon gave him his power, his throne, 05:56 and great authority. " 05:58 James: Okay, do you recognize something here 06:00 in these two verses in relation to Daniel? 06:02 Yvonne: Yeah, like the... James: The leopard is there... 06:05 Jason: Yeah. James: Who else is there? 06:06 Jason: Ah... Yvonne: The lion... 06:09 James: The lion is there... 06:10 Yvonne: Is the dragon there? 06:12 James: The dragon... terrible beast is there... 06:13 the bear is there... 06:16 the ten horns are there with ten crowns... 06:19 where do you remember all of these animals... 06:21 all of these symbols in the book of Daniel? 06:24 If we go back to Daniel chapter 7, 06:28 we have the lion... the bear... 06:31 the leopard and the terrible beast. 06:34 Yvonne: Hmmm... Jason: Hmmm... 06:35 if we go to Daniel 2, we have the ten toes... 06:37 Daniel 7 has the ten horns with crowns... 06:40 in other words, Revelation 13 is starting us back to... 06:45 taking us back to Daniel 06:47 and then it takes us further 06:48 and shows us stuff that Daniel never showed us. 06:49 Yvonne: Right. 06:51 James: Revelation 13 is rehearsing the 42 months... 06:54 the control of all the world... 06:56 the deadly wound... 06:57 in verse 3 it talks about how he... 06:59 let's just read that verse real quick, 07:01 "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; 07:04 and his deadly wound was healed: 07:05 and all the world wondered after the beast. " 07:08 So, if you need a Daniel 13, you've got it right here... 07:12 it's Revelation 13. 07:13 If you need to know what would happen... 07:16 let's just say... Daniel's vision ends in Revelation 12 07:18 and then he seals it up 07:20 but you'd like to know what's going to happen 07:22 if there was a Daniel 13... just open to Revelation 13. 07:25 What does God do? 07:26 He says... Oh, let me just re-cap Babylon, Medo-Persia, 07:28 Greece and Rome in this beast 07:30 and the ten horns and the ten crowns 07:32 and now let me show you 07:33 how the beast recovers from this deadly wound 07:35 by being aided by another power coming up out of the earth 07:39 and that power which happens to be a military power 07:42 with military might... 07:44 that power makes an image to the beast 07:46 and together they're able to control the economy of the world 07:50 so that no man can buy or sell 07:52 unless they receive the mark of that beast. 07:55 Does that make sense? 07:57 We know Revelation 13 really well... 07:59 Daniel 11... ah... not so well 08:02 but when you go to Revelation 13 08:04 and you let Revelation 13 interpret Daniel 11, 08:07 ah, now it's going to make sense. 08:09 We can look for the same things to happen in Daniel 11 08:13 that we see taking place in Revelation 13. 08:15 Does that make sense? 08:16 Yvonne: Hmmm... hmmm... 08:18 So, we come to the end here 08:19 and it's... it's very similar to Revelation. 08:22 He comes to his end and none helps him. 08:25 Now, before we get there, verse 44... we touched on this 08:28 but I think we should really spend a little bit of time here, 08:30 Ivor, what do you think as far as the tidings out of the east 08:33 and out of the north that trouble him? 08:34 Ivor: Yeah, let me do this... let... let's... 08:41 let's put verses 40 to 45 all together 08:45 and just recap what's happening there, right, 08:47 we see the king of the South which is symbolic of Egypt 08:52 pushing against the king of the north. 08:54 We then see the king of the north pushing back 08:58 against the king of the South... 08:59 the king of the North being spiritual Babylon 09:01 pushing back against the king of the South which is Egypt. 09:05 James: Well, the Egypt representing Atheism, right? 09:08 Ivor: Representing Atheism, right, 09:10 so, I'm just using the terms: king of the South 09:12 pushes at the king of the North first 09:14 then the king of the North pushes back 09:16 and overwhelms the king of the South. 09:17 James: Right. 09:19 Ivor: Then he moves... he turns his attention to God's people, 09:23 right, he enters into the glorious land 09:25 and there we're going to find that he... 09:28 he's going to set up, right, the... 09:33 whatever these tabernacles are 09:35 but the tidings... 09:37 yeah, in verse 44, it's tidings out of the North 09:41 and out of the East that trouble him 09:43 and leading him to go forth to set up these tabernacles etc. 09:48 and this is when he comes to his end. 09:50 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 09:51 Ivor: By Michael standing up 09:53 who is the true king of the North. 09:55 James: Amen. 09:56 Ivor: While Michael stands up, 09:58 He's going to deliver His people, 10:00 right, everyone that is found written in the book. 10:03 If we go back to Daniel chapters 1 through 5, 10:09 we find that exact history playing out 10:13 because before we get to Daniel 1, 10:16 Egypt was trying to help Jerusalem against Babylon 10:22 and so, in fact, if you read in Jeremiah 37 verse 5 10:28 and I'll just go ahead and read it, 10:30 Jeremiah 37 verse 5... 10:32 "Then Pharaoh's army was come forth out of Egypt: 10:35 and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem 10:38 heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem. " 10:41 James: Hmmm... 10:43 Ivor: So, here you have the... 10:44 Egypt which is symbolic of the king of the South 10:48 coming against Babylon. 10:53 In the next verse, the Bible says: 10:56 Then came the word of the Lord unto the prophet Jeremiah, 10:59 saying, "Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, 11:01 'Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, 11:03 that sent you unto me to enquire of me; 11:06 "Behold, Pharaoh's army, which is come forth to help you 11:10 shall return to Egypt, into their own land 11:13 and the Chaldeans shall come again 11:16 and fight against this city, 11:18 and take it and burn it with fire. "'" 11:21 James: Hmmm... Yvonne: Hmmm... 11:22 Ivor: Babylon turns to deal with Egypt... 11:28 defeats them... king of the North 11:31 defeating the king of the South 11:34 and then he turns his attention to Jerusalem. 11:38 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 11:39 Ivor: Okay, so, follow this history, 11:42 Daniel 1... this has already happened. 11:45 Babylon has now taken Jerusalem 11:48 and it's in Daniel chapter 1 that you see Nebuchadnezzar 11:55 offering the wine of Babylon 12:00 pause... 12:02 remember what happens in Daniel 1, right, 12:05 they're given the king's meat and his drink 12:08 and remember Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach... 12:10 they're like, "No, we're not drinking the wine of Babylon. " 12:12 James: Right. 12:13 Ivor: Okay, so look at the history that's unfolding, 12:16 Daniel... king of the North defeats the king of the South 12:23 then, turns his attention to Jerusalem, 12:27 then, enforces the wine of Babylon 12:30 and then we get to Daniel chapter 2. 12:34 In Daniel chapter 2... 12:36 that's when Nebuchadnezzar has this dream 12:38 and in this dream, I'm going to ask you, 12:40 does he receive troubling news? 12:42 James: Hmmm... hmmm... Yvonne: Hmmm... hmmm... 12:44 Jason: Hmmm... hmmm... Ivor: He gets troubling news. 12:48 The troubling news is that there is a kingdom after his 12:51 that is going to destroy him. 12:53 Now, remember how... how Nebuchadnezzar is described. 12:57 He's described in... in the Old Testament 13:03 as a king from the North. 13:07 James: Hmmm... hmmm... Yvonne: Hmmm... hmmm... 13:09 Ivor: We read that in our previous... the program, right? 13:11 James: Ezekiel. 13:12 Ivor: That Babylon... that Nebuchadnezzar and Ezekiel, 13:14 Nebuchadnezzar was coming, he was the king of kings... 13:16 very interesting title to give Nebuchadnezzar, right? 13:19 King of kings... 13:20 that's the title that we know that belongs to Jesus 13:22 but king of kings... a king from the North. 13:25 So, what does this king from the North hear in Daniel 2? 13:32 He hears from Daniel who is interpreting his dream for him 13:38 that another kingdom will rise 13:41 that will overthrow his kingdom. 13:45 What kingdom is that? It's the Medes and the Persians. 13:50 Who was the leader of the Medes and the Persians? 13:53 It is Cyrus... 13:54 James: The anointed. 13:56 Ivor: The anointed one. James: Hmmm... hmmm... 13:59 Ivor: Where are the Medes and the Persians from? 14:02 James: The East... 14:04 Ivor: And... 14:05 James: The North... 14:09 All: Laughter... 14:13 Ivor: Tidings out of the North and the East... 14:15 a kingdom is coming... 14:17 "An anointed one is coming Nebuchadnezzar... 14:20 who's going to overthrow your kingdom. " 14:23 So, Nebuchadnezzar goes into a rage... 14:26 not in Daniel 2... in Daniel 3. 14:31 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 14:32 Ivor: What does he do? 14:34 He plants or sets up an image that represents Babylon 14:41 and says, "Bow down before this image. " 14:44 You have three... Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego 14:50 who refuse to bow down 14:53 and in his rage, 14:54 he seeks to throw them into this fiery furnace. 14:57 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 14:59 Ivor: Like you are... you are watching the literal history 15:02 unfold... which Daniel 11 picks up 15:07 and... and puts in a symbolic and spiritual 15:11 worldwide application. 15:13 James: Yeah, what you're talking about is verse 45 where he says, 15:16 44... where he says, "The tidings out of the east 15:21 and the north shall trouble him: 15:22 therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy... 15:25 utterly make away many... " 15:27 so, when he threw those three worthies in the furnace, 15:30 he's trying to destroy them with great fury. 15:32 Ivor: He's... he's furious... 15:34 the Bible actually says he was furious, 15:37 "What? They're not bowing?" 15:38 James: Yeah. 15:40 Ivor: So, remember it's in Daniel chapter 5 15:43 that Babylon falls to the Medes and the Persians. 15:50 The River Euphrates is dried up. 15:54 James: Yeah. 15:56 Ivor: Preparing the way for the fall of Babylon. 16:00 James: For the kings of the East. 16:01 Ivor: And the coming of the kings of the East. 16:03 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 16:04 Ivor: All of this... Daniel 11:40 to 45... 16:08 when we... when we... 16:09 when we parallel it with the other events of Daniel... 16:13 the first half of the book of Daniel 16:15 and Revelation 13, 14, 17, 18, 16:19 we begin to see this beautiful picture emerge 16:23 where God is trying to show us, "Look, I'm telling you... 16:25 this is what's going to happen. " 16:26 James: Yeah. 16:28 Ivor: Trust Me... this is what's going to happen, 16:29 so, again, we are... 16:32 we are still seeing this conflict 16:36 between Egypt and Babylon unfold before our eyes, right? 16:41 We're watching this thing unfold right now. 16:43 James: Yeah. 16:44 Ivor: It's... people are... 16:45 people are saying, "No, man, Egypt is going to win. " 16:48 Look... just look at what's happening in America... 16:50 "Egypt is going to win... " 16:51 they don't know they're saying that 16:52 but that's what they're saying. James: Right. 16:54 Ivor: They're saying... Egypt is going to win, 16:55 "Look at the Secularism and all the... 16:56 it's going to win... " 16:58 and others are saying, "No... no, no... 16:59 Babylon is going to win... " 17:01 and... and right now you can't really tell. 17:05 James: Hmmm... Yvonne: Hmmm... James: Hmmm... hmmm... 17:07 Ivor: You see what I'm saying? James: Yeah. 17:08 Ivor: Right now, it's just like... 17:09 James: Just like when the USSR was around, 17:11 you couldn't really tell. 17:12 You have to go by the Bible and follow what the Bible says. 17:17 Ivor: You have to go by the Bible 17:19 and the Bible is telling us... Listen to me, trust me... 17:22 I don't care how powerful Egypt is looking right now, 17:25 Babylon is going to win. 17:28 Yvonne: Hmmm... James: Yeah. 17:30 Ivor: And the way it's going to win 17:31 is when the one who is the ultimate king of the North, 17:35 and when I say "Ultimate" 17:36 I'm talking about outside of Jesus. 17:38 When... when Satan himself steps on the field, 17:43 Egypt's going to bow. 17:45 "How can we fight against it, look at the miracles, 17:48 I was an unbeliever, 17:49 look at the miracles... I believe now. " 17:51 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 17:52 Ivor: Everybody is deceived 17:54 by this final move of the king of the North 17:58 and again, 18:00 looking at what happens in the first six chapters... 18:02 first five chapters... 18:04 gives us an excellent idea of what happens 18:08 from verse 40... all the way to Michael standing up 18:11 in Daniel 12:1 to 3. 18:14 James: Hmmm... hmmm... 18:16 James: So, we have this pretty clear outline 18:18 in Daniel 11... and I love the way you've applied it 18:23 also to the first part of the book 18:25 because the history of Babylon and its fall 18:27 is all typical... 18:30 it's all typifying what we're seeing here in Daniel 11. 18:33 It's like God is putting two bookends on this, 18:35 He's saying, "Okay, go to the types 18:37 and look at what happened with Babylon 18:40 and go to the book of Revelation 18:42 and look at what's happening there... 18:43 there's some clear stuff there... 18:45 put those two together and you've got a clear picture 18:46 of what's happening in Daniel 11:40 to 45. 18:48 Yvonne: Hmmm... 18:50 Ivor: Yeah, in fact James, it's like... it's... 18:51 you know, when we deal with Bible prophecy 18:53 we typically are in the last half 18:56 of the book of Daniel, right, 18:58 except for Daniel 2, 19:00 we're in the last half of the book of Daniel, 19:02 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12... those are prophecy... 19:05 Daniel 2... yeah... but Daniel 1, Daniel 2, 19:08 3, 4, 5, 6... we're like, "Ahhhh... " 19:12 James: They're stories... Ivor: Yeah, they're stories... 19:15 God is saying, "No... " 19:17 even Daniel 6 where a death decree is issued 19:22 against anyone who prays to another God, 19:27 that is the culmination, right. 19:30 James: It is... 19:31 Ivor: Because, yeah, death decree... 19:33 Daniel's put in the Lions' Den, 19:35 he's in a time of trouble but guess what? 19:40 He comes up out of that Den unscathed 19:42 because he's been delivered by God. 19:45 James: And I really think this is important, Ivor, 19:48 we need to recognize that when Sunday Laws come, 19:50 when these religious laws are imposed upon us, 19:53 Daniel chapter 2 talks about 19:56 being persecuted for what we don't do 19:59 but Daniel... or Daniel 3... 20:01 Daniel chapter 6 talks about being persecuted 20:04 for what we do do, 20:05 we... we're praying... 20:07 and I think with... with Sabbath Sunday... 20:09 it's okay for us even as Adventists 20:12 to not work on Sunday. 20:15 We don't have to go out and mow the lawn 20:16 or, you know, be belligerent about Sunday Laws 20:19 and force ourselves... 20:20 we can do Bible Studies... we can do cottage meetings... 20:21 we can do... 20:23 but there's coming a time 20:24 when we're going to be persecuted for what we do do 20:26 and that is... keeping the Sabbath 20:28 and that's going to be the crux for us, 20:29 it's going to be the issue... 20:31 that's going to be where the rubber, you know, 20:33 hits the road for us 20:34 and we see that same principle in Daniel 3 and Daniel 6. 20:38 So, we... we know that Satan is working behind the scenes 20:42 through all these earthly powers 20:44 and he's going to do the same thing in the end of time. 20:45 What we want to understand right now... 20:47 what we want to discover right now for ourselves 20:49 and for our Viewers is, 20:50 how can we get delivered from all this? 20:53 You know, it says... 20:55 Edom, Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon 20:58 are delivered... 20:59 it says that God's people are delivered... 21:01 can you read for us, Yvonne, Daniel chapter 12 and verse 1? 21:05 Yvonne: "At that time Michael shall stand up, 21:08 the great prince 21:09 who stands watch over the sons of your people; 21:11 and there shall be a time of trouble, 21:14 such as never was since there was a nation, 21:17 even to that time. 21:18 And at that time your people shall be delivered, 21:21 everyone who is found written in the book. " 21:24 James: Okay, let's stop right there 21:27 and then, I just want to emphasize 21:30 a couple of points right here, 21:31 God's people are delivered in the time of trouble, 21:35 that's what it says, right? Yvonne: Yeah. 21:36 James: It says, "At that time thy people shall be delivered" 21:40 but notice the verse doesn't end right there. 21:42 Yvonne: Hmmm... hmmm... 21:44 James: The verse doesn't end with, 21:45 "at that time... thy people... " that would be... 21:47 that would be great just to hear that. 21:48 "At that time, thy people will be delivered... " 21:50 but it doesn't end right there, what does it say after that? 21:52 Yvonne: Everyone who's written in the book... 21:53 James: Everyone... everyone... 21:56 not just your people but everyone 21:58 that's found written in the book... 22:00 every single one of them. 22:01 Yvonne: Hmmm... 22:02 James: I just want to really put an exclamation mark on that... 22:06 everyone... 22:07 in other words, not one of God's people dies 22:10 after Michael stands up... 22:13 every one of them is delivered. 22:15 Yvonne: Hmmm... 22:17 James: Everyone... nobody dies... 22:18 not one single person dies, 22:20 they're all delivered in this time of trouble. 22:22 Sometimes we think about the time of trouble, 22:24 we think, "Well, you know, I might have to... 22:26 I might die, you know, I might... " 22:28 no, you're not... not according to the Bible, you're not. 22:30 Before that time, we know there's going to be persecution, 22:32 we know there are people who's going to be losing their lives, 22:34 because we... you know, that's... but after that... 22:37 see, the blood of martyrs is seed for the gospel 22:40 but when Michael stands up and probation closes, 22:44 there's no more need for that, 22:45 in fact, it would please Satan 22:47 if he could kill some of God's sealed people 22:50 after probation closes 22:51 and God's not going to let him do it. 22:52 Yvonne: Hmmm... 22:54 James: It's just not going to happen. 22:55 So, everyone is going to be delivered... 22:57 who's found written in the Book 22:58 and that's the part we want to hone in on. 23:00 Yvonne: So the deliverance does not mean 23:02 ultimate deliverance, 23:04 it means, during that time of trouble. 23:06 James: Yes. 23:08 Yvonne: And the time of trouble, that's not referring to 23:11 something that's already happened in the past, 23:13 that's what's happening at the end. 23:15 James: Yes, when Michael stands up. 23:17 Yvonne: Hmmm... hmmm... 23:18 James: This is the time of trouble such as never has been, 23:20 this is going to be more intense than the Dark Ages 23:23 where 50 to a 100 million Christians lost their lives. 23:25 Yvonne: Hmmm... 23:27 James: This is going to be more intense than the flood, 23:29 Noah's time... 23:30 this is going to be... the seven last plagues 23:34 give us a picture of what this is going to be like. 23:36 You know, when you go to Revelation, 23:38 you see these different pictures of islands fleeing away 23:41 islands... yeah... mountains, you know, falling 23:45 and the great earthquake and 23:46 hailstones about the weight of a talent, you know, 23:49 seventy pounds... 23:50 then you start to get a picture of the kind of desolation 23:54 that's going to take place on this earth, 23:56 you know, darkness on the... 23:57 the sun scorching man, etc., etc. 24:00 Then you get a picture 24:01 of what's going to be coming on this earth. 24:02 Yvonne: Hmmm... 24:04 Jason: You look pretty excited over there, Ivor... 24:06 I'm... I'm waiting to hear from you. 24:08 All: Laughter. 24:10 Ivor: I wanted to add this in here 24:12 because it's going back to something James brought up 24:13 about the Sabbath 24:15 and it kind of sounds like we just threw that in there... 24:17 if you go back to our previous programs, 24:19 particularly the book of Revelation, 24:21 you'll see us discuss that 24:22 but verse 45 where the Bible says the king of the North 24:26 will plant his tabernacles... 24:28 James: between the seas... 24:30 and the glorious holy mountain... 24:32 Ivor: Yeah, I want you to notice this 24:34 because in Exodus 15 verse 17, 24:36 God's speaking of His own people. 24:38 The Bible says this, 24:39 "Thou shalt bring them in 24:41 and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance 24:44 in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for Thee to dwell 24:48 in the sanctuary, O Lord, 24:51 which thy hands have established. " 24:53 James: Hmmm... 24:54 Ivor: What the king of the North is doing in Daniel 11:45 24:57 is... he's counterfeiting God's sanctuary 25:00 and the reason that is significant is because 25:03 when you go to Revelation 15, 25:05 the seven last plagues are being poured out... 25:08 the angels come from out of the Most Holy Place 25:11 in the sanctuary. James: Hmmm... 25:13 Ivor: Why? In the Most Holy Place of the sanctuary 25:16 was the Ark of the Covenant and the Manna. 25:20 I want you to understand 25:22 the Ark of the Covenant points to the Law of God 25:24 but the Manna was put there as a reminder of what God did 25:29 every seven days. 25:31 It was a reminder of the Sabbath, 25:33 God rained bread down for them on six days 25:36 and on the seventh day, there was none. 25:38 This was a Sabbath test. 25:40 James: Hmmm... 25:42 Ivor: What's happening in Daniel 11:45 25:45 is Satan sitting on the sides of the North 25:48 which, by the way, is the Table of Shewbread 25:52 in the sanctuary. 25:53 That's where the Table of Shewbread was located, 25:56 on the sides of the North, 25:57 so, when you begin to understand 25:59 the significance of the sanctuary 26:01 in connection with what's happening in Daniel 11:40-45, 26:05 this whole thing of the Investigative Judgment 26:08 once again comes into play in a very powerful way, 26:11 it... it revolves around the commandments of God, 26:14 the testimony of Jesus 26:16 and specifically the Sabbath commandment. 26:19 James: That's powerful, you know, 26:21 because when we look at this, 26:22 we realize that, you know, between the seas... 26:25 in Revelation 17:15, the waters represent peoples, 26:29 nations, multitudes and tongues 26:30 and the glorious holy mountain... 26:32 there are two places in the New Testament 26:35 that identify this mountain as Mount Zion. 26:37 Hebrews chapter 12 and Revelation 14 26:41 that talks about the 144,000 on Mount Zion, 26:44 so, what we see here is the ultimate goal of Satan 26:48 is to plant his tabernacles... his royalty... his insignia... 26:51 Ivor: His sanctuary. 26:52 James: Yeah, his sanctuary between the seas... 26:54 peoples, nations, multitudes and tongues of this earth 26:57 and Mount Zion the glorious holy mountain 26:59 where God reigns and where his sanctuary is 27:02 and all lot of people get their vision on a literal 27:05 you know, between the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea 27:08 in this little... 27:09 that's not what we're talking about here in this context. 27:12 We're talking about a worldwide movement, 27:14 it's entered into the... Egypt in the South 27:16 and the glorious land and the Ethiopians 27:18 and the Libyans are following him... it's worldwide 27:20 and it's all the people's of the world 27:22 and Satan trying to skewer their vision from heaven 27:25 and from God's sanctuary where His law is... 27:27 where the Manna is... where the Mercy Seat is... 27:29 where mediation is... 27:31 where we find the gospel of deliverance in Jesus Christ. 27:34 That's the focus. Ivor: It's repeat and enlarge... 27:36 it's repeat and enlarge. James: Yes. 27:38 You all are hearing nothing new, 27:39 we've been saying this from Daniel 7 onward, right? 27:42 James: Yeah. 27:43 Ivor: So, that's the power of this... 27:45 God is simply repeating and zooming in 27:46 and we're like, "Yeah, this is what the other chapters said, 27:48 we're on the right path. " 27:49 James: Yeah... just different symbols... 27:51 king of the North... king of the South... 27:52 different symbols... 27:54 but the same basic message each time, praise the Lord. 27:56 Yvonne: Amen. |
