00:01 The Bible tells us, "In the beginning was the Word,
00:03 and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 00:07 It says, "To receive with meekness 00:10 the implanted Word, 00:11 which is able to save your souls. 00:14 And to be diligent to present yourself 00:16 approved to God, 00:17 rightly dividing the Word of truth." 00:20 Join us now for the 3ABN Sabbath School Panel. 00:24 Our study today is the Book of Daniel. 00:32 Hello, and welcome back 00:33 to another edition of the 3ABN Sabbath School Panel. 00:35 We are so excited that each and every one of you 00:37 have joined us again 00:39 for another week of special exciting Bible study. 00:42 Hasn't this been exciting? 00:44 The Book of Daniel, I love the Book of Daniel. 00:46 I love apocalyptic studies, 00:48 last day prophecies found in the Bible 00:51 and so, the Book of Daniel 00:52 doesn't let us down in that area. 00:54 And so we are so thankful again 00:55 that you've joined us each and every week. 00:57 We know that you could be doing something else, 00:58 but you're here with us and we praise the Lord for you. 01:02 Before we go any further, I wanna go ahead 01:04 and introduce my exciting panel because this panel, 01:08 I learned so much from each and every week. 01:10 And so I wanna start here 01:12 to my left, Pastor John Lomacang. 01:13 How are you, Brother? 01:15 Good to be here. 01:16 I tell you, I'm just... 01:17 Daniel 7 is what I have. 01:19 That's it. 01:20 I can't even breathe right now. 01:23 I'm so excited about this chapter. 01:25 So I'm gonna just pass it off to Shelley. 01:27 All right. 01:28 We're looking forward to it. 01:30 That's right. Amen. 01:31 Brother Kenny, how are you? 01:32 The excitement just ride us, it's catchy. 01:34 I'll pass it on. 01:35 There you go. 01:37 Thank you, Pastor Kenny. 01:38 Oh, I love this book. Yes. 01:40 I love to study with each one of you, 01:41 so it's pretty much... 01:42 Amen. Praise the Lord. 01:44 All right, and I just wanna remind you, 01:45 if you want to be able to study along with us, 01:48 you got to get a study guide. 01:50 And, of course, I always like to recommend 01:51 going to your local Seventh-day Adventist Church, 01:54 join in with a small group and study, 01:55 they'll be able to provide 01:57 a copy of the study guide for you. 01:59 But if not, we also can provide a way 02:02 that you can get it for free. 02:03 If you go to ABSG.Adventist.org. 02:08 Again, that's ABSG.Adventist.org. 02:12 And you can access 02:13 the study guide online for free. 02:15 And, you know, there's so much to this study 02:18 that I don't even really know where to start 02:21 because there's just so much to talk about. 02:23 And it's like, man, 02:25 how do I get through this in a timely manner. 02:26 But nonetheless, our study for this week 02:30 is a powerful study, 02:32 in the sense that we're walking through 02:34 the seventh chapter of Daniel. 02:36 And I think it's vitally important 02:38 that we understand this chapter because it certainly involves 02:42 much of what we're gonna experience here 02:44 in the last days. 02:45 But before we go any further, 02:47 we should obviously have a word of prayer. 02:49 And so, Miss Shelley, would you have a prayer for us? 02:51 Absolutely. 02:52 Heavenly Father, we come in the name of Jesus, 02:55 to give You all honor and praise and we ask... 02:59 Father, we just wanna thank You for Your Word. 03:02 We thank You that we can know 03:06 that Your prophetic Word is sure. 03:10 And we ask in the name of Jesus', 03:12 You'll fill us with Your Holy Spirit now. 03:16 Speak through us, and give us all ears to hear 03:20 what the Holy Spirit has to say, 03:22 in Jesus' name, amen. 03:24 Amen. Amen. 03:25 Praise the Lord. 03:26 So Sunday's lesson, I'm gonna dive 03:28 right into that just because the book 03:29 of I think setting this, setting us up 03:32 for the content of the seventh chapter of Daniel 03:35 is talking about these four animals, 03:38 these opening verses of Daniel Chapter 7. 03:41 And indeed we do see four interesting animals. 03:43 And it's interesting when you take 03:44 on the seventh chapter of Daniel 03:46 because prior to this point, there's, 03:48 I mean, there's been some Bible prophecy 03:50 and you're gonna see 03:51 that Daniel Chapter 2 and Daniel Chapter 7, 03:53 obviously correlate with each other. 03:55 They parallel each other as far as some of the content 03:58 but, you know, the bulk of what we've been 03:59 studying so far has not really been, 04:02 you know, what we would call, 04:03 you know, clear prophetic 04:05 or apocalyptic nature of the studies 04:08 that we've been doing. 04:10 The apocalypticness is that, is that a word amplifies 04:14 when we get to this chapter. 04:15 And so we're definitely gonna dive into this 04:17 because right here 04:18 in the opening verse of Daniel Chapter 7, 04:19 it says, "In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, 04:22 Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. 04:27 Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts." 04:30 And so he's envision God is literally rolling almost 04:34 as if he's pulling, rolling a movie reel in his mind, 04:38 and he's taking him from one scene to the next. 04:41 And so what we're about to find out 04:43 and I like to see it as the Lord 04:44 is simply taking Daniel and us through kind of a special 04:48 little seaside safari ride, 04:51 as we're about to go through 04:52 and see all of these different animals 04:54 which, of course, represents something. 04:56 And so I wanna start reading the chapter 04:58 and the rest of this, not the chapter, 04:59 but the rest of these verses through verse 7 05:01 because the Bible tells us beginning in verse 2, 05:04 "Daniel spoke saying, 'I saw in my vision by night, 05:08 and behold, four winds of heaven 05:10 were stirred up the Great Sea. 05:13 And four great beasts came up from the sea, 05:15 each different from the other. 05:17 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. 05:20 And watched till the wings were plucked off, 05:22 and it was lifted up from the earth 05:24 and made to stand on two feet like a man, 05:26 and a man's heart was given to it." Verse 5, 05:30 "And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. 05:33 It was raised up on one side, 05:35 and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. 05:37 And they said thus to it, 'Arise, devour much flesh!' 05:41 " Verse 6, "After this I looked, 05:43 and there was another, 05:45 like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. 05:48 The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it." 05:52 And then, of course, our seventh verse, 05:53 it says, "After this I saw in the night visions, 05:56 and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, 05:58 exceedingly strong. 06:00 It had huge iron teeth, it was devouring, 06:02 breaking in pieces, 06:04 and trampling the residue with its feet. 06:05 It was different from all the beasts 06:07 that were before it, and it had ten horns." 06:11 And so I just want to kind of go through 06:12 and pick apart and provide some meaning 06:15 behind these great symbols 06:17 because now we're diving into the apocalyptic nature 06:20 of this chapter in which there's heavy symbolism, 06:22 and we need to allow the Bible to interpret itself. 06:25 So I wanna start there in verse 2. 06:26 First of all, we see right off the front, 06:29 the Lord is bringing a scene about to Daniel 06:31 where the winds are stirred up, and of course, 06:34 winds in prophetic language 06:36 are symbolic of strife, war, bloodshed, 06:39 and of course, destruction. 06:41 And Jeremiah confirms this 06:42 in Jeremiah 25:31-33. 06:47 And obviously, we're not gonna be 06:48 able to go to every single one of these verses 06:49 that I'm gonna mention, 06:51 but I wanna provide some references of study 06:53 so that you can go back 06:54 and watch this again and study it for yourself. 06:56 We also see there's a mention of the sea. 06:59 And so sea symbolizes multitudes 07:01 of unconverted peoples 07:03 who are inimical to the people of God. 07:05 And so we see this in Isaiah 17:12-13. 07:10 Also Chapter 8:7-8, and so forth. 07:14 Even Revelation 17:15, 07:16 tells us that the seas represent multitudes of people. 07:20 And so we go down to verse 4, 07:22 obviously now these four beasts are mentioned to us, 07:25 they're introduced to us, 07:26 and we need to ask the question, 07:28 do these four beast represent four kings or four kingdoms? 07:32 Because a lot of people get confused on that. 07:33 I said, "Well, it says king, but it doesn't say kingdoms." 07:35 But the truthful answer is, is very simple. 07:38 The four beasts represent four kingdoms, 07:41 which were ruled over by a succession of kings, okay? 07:45 And we know we can find this answer 07:46 in Daniel Chapter 7, 07:48 in this very chapter, God doesn't leave us hanging 07:50 in the 17th verse, and also in verse 23. 07:53 And even over in Daniel 8, we see a confirmation 07:56 that these beasts represent kingdoms 07:59 that are ruled by powerful kings. 08:03 Then we get on to verse 4, 08:04 here comes this first beast, this lion. 08:07 And, of course, we know that again, 08:09 parallel to Daniel Chapter 2 there are four metals 08:11 and how many beasts during this chapter? 08:13 Four. There are four beasts. 08:14 And so each metal in Daniel Chapter 2 08:16 represented a kingdom in the succession of the rulers 08:20 of the world from one nation to the next, 08:22 we see this exact pattern. 08:24 And this is that repeat factor that we're talking about. 08:26 So far what my portion of the lesson is, 08:29 and what Sunday's lesson is doing is repeating exactly 08:32 what God has already covered in Daniel Chapter 2. 08:35 And then, of course, 08:36 by the time we get to Pastor John and down, 08:38 we're gonna see that 08:39 he's gonna expand from these kingdoms, 08:41 but nonetheless, 08:43 we have this lion and so who is this lion? 08:44 Well, just as the head of gold 08:46 represented Babylon in Daniel Chapter 2, 08:49 obviously, this lion represents the kingdom of Babylon as well. 08:53 Babylon was the supreme kind of nation, 08:55 they had everything supreme. 08:57 Gold is the most precious metal in Babylon. 09:00 The lion, of course, is the king of beast. 09:02 The eagle is the most, excuse me, 09:05 the king of the birds, etcetera. 09:07 So we see that everything is great 09:08 in abundance in Babylon. 09:10 And even in archaeological excavations 09:13 have proven that lion sphinxes 09:15 were very common in ancient Babylon, 09:17 plaster to the walls throughout the palaces. 09:20 Jeremiah even affirms in the Bible, 09:22 so we don't have to go very far to see that right here 09:24 in the Bible in Jeremiah 4:7, 09:27 and also Jeremiah 50:17, 09:30 we see that Jeremiah 09:31 actually links Babylon to being a lion. 09:34 And, of course, 09:36 the wings represent swiftness and conquest. 09:38 Babylon was quick, 09:40 but we're gonna see another kingdom 09:41 comes along that's even quicker than Babylon in conquering 09:44 the known world at the time. 09:46 A lion with a man's heart, of course, is cowardly. 09:48 No, no lion wants a man's heart, 09:50 a lion wants a lion's heart, right? 09:51 Kind of like Richard the Lionhearted, 09:53 he was a brave, brave man, 09:55 and so we see that Babylon's cowardness is clearly displayed 10:00 by King Belshazzar who was the last king 10:02 before they fall, of course, 10:03 when the kingdom fell to the Medes and the Persians. 10:06 So clearly this first beast is no doubt Babylon. 10:08 Then we go on to verse 5, or from this point, 10:11 you're just simply applying history. 10:13 But, you know, 10:15 even if you didn't even have a history book, 10:16 Brother Kenny, you could just go to the Bible, 10:17 God tells you which kingdoms come after the other. 10:20 And then we just match that with the Bible, 10:22 and we see how it just goes like a hand and a glove. 10:24 It's beautiful because we know historically, yes, 10:27 the next kingdom that comes after Babylon 10:29 is the Medes and the Persians. 10:30 We see it in Daniel Chapter 5, we see it in Daniel Chapter 8, 10:33 we don't have to go very far to know that. 10:35 We know this bear symbolizes 10:36 the kingdom of the Medes and the Persians, 10:38 just as the bear was raised up higher on one side. 10:42 So between the Medes and the Persians, 10:44 which was an alliance 10:45 between the kingdom of Media and the kingdom of Persia, 10:48 the Persians although they came a little later, 10:50 they align themselves with the Medes, 10:52 but Persia was the stronger of the two nations, 10:54 which is why we see the bear raised up on one side 10:57 and, of course, also Daniel Chapter 8 10:59 we see that this ram with two horns, 11:01 we're told is Media and Persia. 11:04 And, of course, one horn is higher than the other. 11:06 So there's no doubt who this is. 11:07 The three ribs in the mouth of the bear, of course, 11:09 scholars agree, even though the Bible doesn't explicitly 11:12 or clearly say that they believe that 11:14 these are the three nations in which Medo-Persia 11:17 had to overcome in order 11:18 to become the superpower of the world, 11:20 which would be Lydia, 11:21 and, of course, Babylon and Egypt. 11:24 Verse 6, we're trucking along here, 11:26 we come to this leopard. 11:27 Now, was a leopard faster than a lion 11:29 or a lion faster than a leopard? 11:30 A leopard is faster. 11:31 Okay, so a leopard would be faster, right? 11:33 So you see here that not only does 11:35 is this animal swifter than a lion, 11:37 but we also see that it has a double set of wings, 11:41 communicating even faster and swifter 11:44 conquest of conquering the known world at the time. 11:46 And we know that it was the nation of Greece 11:48 that came after the Medes and the Persians 11:50 with the leadership of Alexander the Great. 11:52 He conquered the whole near east from Egypt, 11:56 all the way to the Indus Valley of India 11:58 in just three years. 11:59 I mean, that's just impeccable. 12:01 It's amazing. 12:02 Nebuchadnezzar, do you get this, 12:03 Nebuchadnezzar took 13 years 12:05 to just reach a stalemate with the kingdom of Tyre, 12:08 but Alexander conquered it in just eight months. 12:11 So just this communicates the power of this indeed. 12:14 And, of course, the four heads on this leopard 12:16 would represent the four generals, 12:18 in which the kingdom of Greece 12:21 was passed on to as the kingdom was divided into four parts. 12:25 But then we get down here to this last kingdom, 12:28 the fourth kingdom, verse 7, of course, 12:31 we know historically would be the kingdom of Rome, 12:34 no doubt, much as that the toes on that image, Brother Kenny, 12:38 that we had 10 toes 12:40 representing the 10 divisions of Rome in 476 AD. 12:43 Well, Rome divided that is indeed, 12:45 and also we have the legs of iron, 12:48 which represents the kingdom of Rome. 12:50 What type of teeth did this fourth beast have? 12:52 It had iron teeth, 12:53 and it had 10 horns up on its head. 12:56 So we have 10 toes. 12:58 Again, correlating with the 10 horns, 12:59 the 10 divisions of Rome. 13:02 And what we're gonna see at this point 13:03 as we transition over 13:05 into Pastor Lomacang and Shelley, 13:06 we're gonna see as we go through this study, 13:08 now God is gonna expand this teaching from what 13:11 He went from Daniel 2 to Daniel 7. 13:13 Now He's gonna add to this prophecy, 13:15 as He's gonna take us into a study, 13:17 and He's gonna hit the zoom button on the camera, 13:20 He's going to zoom in 13:21 on the head of this fourth beast, 13:22 and we're gonna see that this little horn appears, 13:25 and causes all kinds of trouble for God's kingdom. 13:28 Pastor Lomacang. Amen. 13:29 Wow, I tell you the little horn, 13:31 Daniel 7:8. 13:33 Let's peek at that very quickly. 13:35 Daniel brings into, and I like the fact that 13:38 you pointed out we're getting now 13:40 into eschatological apocalyptic areas 13:44 that are now projecting itself far beyond Daniel's day, 13:48 but also includes events and kingdoms of Daniel's day. 13:52 Daniel 7:8. 13:54 "I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, 13:59 a little one, coming up among them, 14:03 before whom three of the first horns 14:05 were plucked out by the roots. 14:07 And there, in this horn, 14:09 were the eyes like the eyes of a man, 14:13 and a mouth speaking pompous words." 14:15 Instead of saying great words, 14:17 the word pompous, is really more instrumental there 14:20 because the pompous words that were speaking, 14:23 that were being spoken by this little horn, 14:26 indicates its greatness, 14:28 its territorial uniqueness, 14:32 its bombastic nature. 14:35 So just to repeat and enlarge, 14:38 you find that it's described clearly here. 14:40 When this little horn came up, three horns were plucked out, 14:45 not just plucked out, 14:46 but they were plucked out by the roots. 14:48 And when you follow 14:50 the development of the age of antiquity, 14:52 you find that there's a phrase in history 14:55 called all roads lead to... 14:57 Rome. All roads lead to Rome. 15:00 To reiterate, 15:02 Rome is pictured here as a voice coming up. 15:07 And in pagan Rome this is symbolizing 15:10 the rise of a voice 15:11 that comes out of these 10 nations, 15:14 but in order for this nation to get full dominance, 15:18 it has to remove every nation that resists its rise. 15:23 So from 476 to 538, there were wars, 15:27 three particular nations that fought against, 15:29 these were called Arian nations, 15:31 the Arian Brotherhood, 15:34 and the Vandals, the Heruli and the Ostrogoths. 15:38 These three nations, 15:39 they no longer have a modern terminology. 15:42 You know, like the French were the Franks, 15:44 the Lombards were the Italians, 15:46 the Burgundians were the Germans 15:48 so the words back 15:49 then they call them the Burgundians, 15:51 but now we know them as Germany 15:52 or they call them the Franks back then, 15:53 but now we know them as France and so on and so forth. 15:57 The reason why the Vandals, Heruli, and the Ostrogoths 15:59 have no modern vernacular, no modern definition 16:03 is because they were plucked out by the roots. 16:07 And in 538, 16:09 that began the dominant reign of the papal state of Rome, 16:14 476 the transition from the pagan to the papal 16:20 was the battle that took place because it also points out, 16:23 if we go to Daniel Chapter 7 and starting with verse 19. 16:28 Let's look at some of the further descriptions. 16:30 And by the way, 16:31 when Ryan pointed out in Daniel 7:17, 16:33 how we can know 16:35 these four kings are four kingdoms. 16:37 It starts out by saying that in verse 19, 16:40 and it points out here, I'm looking at, it says, 16:43 "Then I wish to know the truth about the fourth beast, 16:46 which was different from all the others, 16:50 exceedingly dreadful, 16:54 with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, 16:59 which devoured broken pieces, and trampled," how much? 17:04 "The residue with its feet." 17:07 And I wanna point out down as we get further, 17:09 we'll see greater description here, 17:12 but let me just go and read it 17:14 and I'll break it down as we go on. 17:15 In verse 20, "And about the 10 horns 17:19 that were on its head, and about the other horn, 17:23 which came up, before which three fell, 17:26 namely, that horn which had eyes, and the mouth, 17:30 which spoke pompous words, 17:32 whose appearance was greater than his fellows." 17:36 So it shows you clearly that this power that rose, 17:41 it was above, it was more prominent, 17:43 it was more stout, it was more resilient, 17:46 and it was more powerful because it's rising, 17:49 it's becoming more stout. 17:51 All the other nations represented political powers, 17:54 but this one was different. 17:57 The Bible says what made it different. 17:59 When Rome came into existence, 18:02 a merging of the pagan with the papal, 18:06 a pagan nation with papal qualities 18:10 or a papal nation with pagan qualities, 18:12 whichever way you choose, 18:14 it was a nation that did not become converted. 18:17 It was not a power that abandoned paganism, 18:20 but a power that gave a religious tinge to paganism. 18:24 And so you find today that many of the things 18:26 that exists in Christendom, 18:28 they exist because paganism gifted them 18:32 to the papal church or to Christianity 18:36 through the papal church. 18:38 Let's go ahead and find out a little bit more about this. 18:41 And I'm gonna digress a little bit 18:44 because it says, describing, 18:46 "I was watching," verse 21, "and the same horn 18:49 was making war against the saints, 18:52 and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days came, 18:56 and judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, 19:00 and the time came for the saints 19:01 to possess the kingdom." 19:03 Now this is important because this fourth beast, 19:06 or this fourth beast, 19:08 with the horn coming up out of the 10 nations 19:11 represents the kingdom of Rome. 19:14 But the Bible goes on to say, this nation will war 19:17 against the saints of the Most High, 19:18 and for 1,260 years Rome ruthlessly 19:24 tried to stamp out Christianity 19:26 because it did not resemble the pattern 19:28 that Rome decided to establish. 19:30 So you had Rome 19:32 and then it added a religious component to it, 19:35 which later we know as Catholicism, 19:36 the word Catholic mean universal. 19:38 So this was a universal church, but its beliefs, 19:43 when you think about some of the ways 19:45 that these beliefs came into existence. 19:47 The emperor's didn't, 19:48 didn't choose the Bible above tradition. 19:51 They chose tradition above the Bible. 19:54 They didn't choose to abandon paganism. 19:56 They chose to baptize paganism. 19:58 And the battle really 20:00 was against the rise of Christianity, 20:01 as compared to the rise of paganism, 20:04 which in fact, if you go back to from the very beginning, 20:07 this is Satan opposing God. 20:09 Of course. 20:10 So he chose his earthly power to oppose God. 20:12 And that's why Paul the Apostle says, 20:14 who opposes and exalts himself 20:16 above all that is called God or all that is worshiped. 20:19 Really issue is, once again worship. 20:22 Let's go down to verse 23. 20:24 And I wish I had a little bit more time 20:26 because, you know, I'm just resonating here. 20:28 I feel like a race car in a phone booth. 20:32 "Thus he said," in verse 23, 20:34 "The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom," 20:37 there you go, the connection between king and kingdom, 20:40 "on the earth, 20:41 which shall be different from all other kingdoms, 20:43 and shall devour the whole earth, 20:45 trample it and break it in pieces." 20:47 This was a prognostication 20:48 of the future dominance of this kingdom 20:51 because until this particular point, 20:53 Rome had reigned supreme. 20:55 As we said, "All roads lead to Rome." 20:57 But it did not yet take on a worldwide dominance. 21:00 And when we go on further in our study, 21:02 we'll find that Rome is going to, 21:04 it assumes itself all the way 21:06 to the very end of human history. 21:09 Here's how we know the vision that Daniel was given 21:13 and the vision that Nebuchadnezzar was given. 21:15 In both cases, you find the iron kingdom 21:18 was also prevalent in the toes of the image. 21:21 We'll talk about that later on. 21:23 But you have the beast with iron teeth, 21:25 that tramples and breaks all the residue, 21:27 and it devours the whole earth. 21:30 That is where we are in the pages of history today. 21:33 You might ask yourself the question, 21:34 how does the Roman pontiff have such influence? 21:38 Well, Revelation says that the dragon gave him his power, 21:42 his seat, and his great authority. 21:44 You might ask your question, 21:46 how does he get the platform 21:47 of the speaking to Congress in the United States? 21:50 Because the United States is the one nation in the world 21:53 that still offers its citizens religious liberty. 21:57 That's right. 21:59 Now the pope believes in liberty 22:01 because in the liberty that we have in America, 22:03 it gives him the platform to advance his cause. 22:06 But there has been since 1994, 22:08 a merging between evangelicals and Catholics 22:12 to try to make up the largest political and voting block 22:15 in our nation 22:16 to control the political outcome of our nation. 22:19 So when you begin to see what Daniel says here, 22:21 keep this in mind when the merger is complete. 22:24 And as Revelation says in Revelation Chapter 13, 22:27 the second part, 22:29 Rome will now merge 22:31 with the political powers of our nation, 22:33 and our nation will establish an image 22:36 to the first beast of Revelation Chapter 13. 22:39 That's where we're headed as a nation. 22:40 So this is about to be fulfilled. 22:42 I mean, there's gonna be explosion, 22:43 politically and religiously that we have not seen 22:46 ever since the Dark Ages. 22:48 And the very persecuting powers that dominated the Dark Ages, 22:52 once again will come to the forefront 22:54 as he caused the earth 22:55 and those who dwell there and to do two things, 22:58 worship and secondly, 22:59 if you choose not to, you'll be killed. 23:02 But you know what, like Daniel, 23:03 I rather go to the den with Christ than compromise 23:08 against Christ outside the den. 23:11 I rather be in the fire with Him 23:12 as the three Hebrews 23:14 and be delivered than avoid the flames 23:16 and lose my salvation. 23:17 Those who stand with Christ, He stands with them. 23:21 And as ruthless as this nation is pictured, 23:24 the Bible says the time came for the saints of the Most High 23:30 to possess the kingdom. 23:31 Amen. Amen. 23:33 Revelation talks about a strong kingdom, 23:34 but God's Kingdom is even more powerful. 23:37 That's right. Amen. 23:39 Amen. Amen. 23:40 Praise the Lord. Wow. 23:42 I love listen to you, Pastor John. 23:43 I think I've said it before. 23:44 It's like drinking from a fire hydrant. 23:46 You just want more and more. 23:47 Praise the Lord for the ministry 23:48 of Pastor Lomacang. 23:50 Well, we're gonna take a quick break. 23:51 We'll be back in just a few moments. 23:58 Ever wish you could watch 23:59 a 3ABN Sabbath School Panel again, 24:01 or share it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter? 28:27 Verse 11, "I watched then because of the sound 28:30 of the pompous words." 28:33 These are prideful. 28:35 "Pompous words which the horn was speaking, 28:38 I watched till the beast was slain, 28:40 and its body destroyed 28:41 and given to the burning flame." 28:43 Reminds me 28:45 and I think you made allusion to this of 2 Thessalonians 2. 28:49 I'm gonna read verses 3-4. 28:51 It says that Paul writes to the Thessalonians, 28:54 "And that day will not come 28:55 until the man of sin is revealed. 28:58 The son of perdition 29:01 who opposes and exalts himself 29:06 above all that is called God or that is worshiped." 29:11 How pompous can you get? 29:12 "So that he sits as God in the temple of God, 29:16 showing himself that he is God." 29:19 Verse 8 says, "Then the lawless one 29:22 will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume 29:26 with the breath of His mouth 29:28 and destroy with the brightness of His coming." 29:32 You know, makes you go back to Daniel 2, 29:35 when the stone that's not cut out by hands comes 29:40 and smashes that image in everything to pieces. 29:44 So Revelation 19:20 says that the beast 29:48 and the false prophet are gonna be cast 29:52 into the lake of fire. 29:54 So that goes with Daniel 7:11 there 29:57 where it says "Its bodies were destroyed 30:00 and given to the burning flame." 30:03 Verse 12, Daniel 7:12. 30:06 "As for the rest of the beast, 30:09 they had their dominion taken away, 30:11 yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time." 30:14 The first three beasts Babylon, Medo-Persia, 30:19 and Greece in Chapters 2 and 7. 30:22 In spite of losing dominion, 30:24 they continued on as and existed as a kingdom. 30:29 I mean, as part of the kingdom that conquered them, right? 30:33 So they were amalgamated into the empire 30:36 as it were of those who conquered them. 30:39 And, you know, I think that that's what 30:41 when you look at this beast, 30:42 Revelation 13:1-2 the sea beast 30:46 with the 10 heads, horns, crowns, blasphemous name, 30:49 it says the beast was like a leopard, 30:53 his feet were like the feet of the lion. 30:55 I mean, the bear, the mouth like the mouth of the lion. 30:58 So he's seeing these kingdoms in reverse here, 31:02 but they've been amalgamated 31:05 and the dragon gave him his power, 31:07 his throne, and great authority. 31:09 So they're still surviving the final Roman phase 31:14 in some sense until the coming of Christ 31:17 when the whole world will be depopulated, 31:19 and Christ's kingdom will replace it. 31:21 Verse 13, "I was watching in the night visions, 31:25 and behold, One like the Son of Man, 31:31 coming with the clouds of heaven! 31:34 He came to the Ancient of Days, 31:37 and they brought Him near before Him." 31:40 Two persons take the center stage here, 31:42 one like the Son of Man, and the Ancient of Days. 31:46 The Son of Man is none other than the last Adam, 31:51 the only one that could stand in the presence of the Lord, 31:55 the divine Messiah Himself, and He's standing, 32:00 He's being assured before His father, 32:02 you know, Son of Man is a title that was used 69 times 32:06 in the Synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke, 32:09 and 12 times in John. 32:11 It was one of Jesus' favorite titles for Himself. 32:14 Let me read Mark 14:61-62. 32:18 "He, speaking of Jesus, 32:20 kept silent and answered nothing. 32:23 And the high priests again ask Him, saying to him, 32:26 'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?' 32:29 " Listen to what Jesus says, "I am." 32:33 I am that I am. 32:34 "I am. 32:36 And you will see the Son of Man 32:39 sitting at the right hand of the Power, 32:42 and coming with the clouds of heaven." 32:45 You know, what's important for us to note 32:48 is that this judgment occurs 32:51 after the 1,260-year period. 32:55 That's so important. 32:57 It's after the little horns activities 33:00 538 to 1798. 33:03 But it's prior to God 33:04 establishing His Kingdom, right? 33:07 So we see three times in this sequence, 33:10 that the little horn phase, and then the heavenly judgment, 33:14 and then God's eternal kingdom. 33:16 So it's really important for us to understand this. 33:21 So let's look at Daniel 7:14 33:23 'cause I wanna get to the end of this. 33:26 "Then to Him," speaking of the Son of Man, 33:29 "was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, 33:31 that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. 33:34 His dominion is an everlasting dominion, 33:37 which shall not pass away, 33:40 His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed." 33:44 Only Christ is worthy to receive this kingdom 33:47 in the Ancient of Days, 33:49 gives Him this universal Kingdom. 33:51 Verse 21, "I was watching, 33:54 and the same horn 33:56 was making war against the saints, 33:58 and prevailing against them." 34:00 So the persecuting power is still trying to execute 34:04 and exterminate God's people, 34:06 "Until the Ancient of Days came, 34:11 and a judgment was made in favor 34:15 of the saints of the Most High, 34:17 and the time came for the saints 34:20 to possess the kingdom. 34:22 But the court shall be seated, 34:24 and they shall take away his dominion," 34:28 talking of the little horn power, 34:30 "to consume and destroy it forever." 34:33 Amen. Praise the Lord. 34:35 Boy, that kind of gives you a little bit of chills, 34:37 I think, 34:38 little goosebumps to see the prophecy 34:40 and things opening up. 34:41 I have Wednesday's lesson. 34:43 It's The Coming of the Son of Man. 34:45 So I have one Bible passage. 34:48 Sister Shelley covered it rather well, 34:50 I'm gonna go right back into it. 34:52 And so if you don't mind, I want do Daniel 7:13. 34:55 And there's more that can be said about that, 34:57 I'm sure, but we'll just ask the Holy Spirit 34:59 to help us with it. 35:01 I'm gonna read it. 35:02 It says, "I saw in the night vision, 35:03 and behold, one like the Son of Man came 35:06 with the clouds of heaven, came into the Ancient of Days, 35:09 and they brought Him near before Him." 35:12 As we read this verse here, we can look at the words, 35:15 it says, "One like the Son of Man." 35:18 Now in the Aramaic, 35:20 it says, "Like a Son of Man or like a Man." 35:25 So here is kind of backing away a little bit. 35:28 And describing and looking 35:29 at who it's really talking about here, 35:31 and some characteristics and some qualities 35:34 of this individual that's being talked about here. 35:37 So we wanna look at that just a little bit here. 35:39 The normal order you look at 35:41 a prophetic narrative is for the prophet, 35:44 whoever's writing the prophet first 35:46 is to describe what he has seen, 35:49 he describes, and then he goes back, 35:50 and then he begins to describe 35:53 or identify that thing or individual, 35:57 whatever might be in here, 35:58 so we're going to kind of look at that. 36:00 God chose to present His Son in a prophetic vision. 36:04 Now how do you do it? 36:06 He wanted to emphasize humanity, 36:08 the humanity of Christ. 36:10 And I think that's something we really need 36:12 to really look at closely here, 36:14 the humanity of Jesus Christ because He's taking my place. 36:18 How can He take my place if He's not fully human? 36:20 Now we hear those arguments all the time, He had an edge, 36:23 He had things that we can't have. 36:24 And that's certainly not true as we look at scripture here. 36:28 Let's go back to the incarnation 36:30 for just a moment of the Son of God. 36:32 Remember, He took on himself the form of what? 36:35 Of humanity, He became the Son of Man. 36:40 In fact, in John Chapter 1, you know it well, 36:43 we'll read verses 1-4 quickly. 36:45 Here's what the Bible said, "In the beginning was the Word, 36:47 John 1:1-4, beginning was the Word, 36:50 the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 36:53 The same was in with, in the beginning with God. 36:56 "All things were made by Him, 36:57 without Him was not anything made that was made." 37:01 Verse 4, "In Him," I love this, 37:03 "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." 37:08 Powerful, those verses are just absolutely powerful 37:11 when you look at Him in John 1:1-4, 37:14 it says here, there's a couple points 37:15 I wanna bring out here. 37:17 Number one is, Jesus existed from eternity. 37:20 Amen. That's right. 37:21 All eternity never was the time that Christ 37:23 was never with God, there never was a time. 37:25 This is debate that goes on and on and on. 37:27 You see, He came into existence sometime and appointed. 37:31 The Bible is very clear, in the beginning was the Word 37:33 and the Word was with God, isn't it what it says? 37:36 And Word was God, 37:37 the same was in the beginning with God. 37:40 So who of us is the challenge when the beginning 37:42 except we just believe by faith He's always been with. 37:45 So that's what the Bible talks about this 37:47 as we look at that here, 37:49 and remember too that Jesus is a distinct, 37:53 distinct person, yet He's one with what? 37:57 He's one with the Father. 37:58 So those things that we need to look at closely. 38:00 Point two, Jesus had two natures. 38:03 You know, that's good, what He have? 38:05 He had the divine nature, and He had the human nature. 38:08 Now let's get a description 38:10 of the divine nature from scripture. 38:13 In Philippians 2:6. 38:16 It says, "Who, being in the form of God, 38:20 thought it not robbery to be," what's the word? 38:23 "Equal with God." 38:24 Notice this right here. 38:26 And He was in Hebrews 1:3, 38:28 the Bible says, "He was the brightness, 38:31 and the glory, 38:32 and the express image of His person." 38:36 That tells you that talk about description of His divinity. 38:39 Now let's get a description of His humanity. 38:43 Philippians 2:8, 38:45 the Bible said, "He was made in the," what? 38:48 "The likeness of men 38:50 being formed in fashion as a man, 38:54 " I love this, "He humbled Himself 38:56 and became obedient unto death." 39:00 And then I think this is what He would have for us 39:01 that we love Him, 39:03 we come have such a connection with Him, 39:04 we would be willing to be obedient unto death. 39:07 In other words, in our life, we wanna come to the point 39:10 in time to where we had rather die 39:13 than knowingly sin. 39:15 Now that's an awesome statement, 39:17 we'd rather die than knowingly sin. 39:20 And God is promised and help us to do that. 39:22 And, of course, Jesus is our example. 39:24 So here we have this individual is talking about here 39:28 that we just read about, He clothed Himself, right? 39:31 He clothes His divinity with humanity. 39:34 So we look at He was at all times, I'll just. 39:39 All times while He was here, He was still God. 39:42 Amen. Of course. 39:44 While He was here. 39:45 See, some people just disagree with that. 39:47 But all the time He was here He was still God. 39:48 He clothed His divinity with humanity, awesome. 39:52 God became man. 39:54 Yes. That's right. 39:56 And He assumed... 39:57 Now listen to this, 39:58 He assumed man's fallen sinful nature 40:03 without taking on the sin. 40:04 Amen. Okay? 40:05 It's very important. 40:07 We understand why is there so much confusion, 40:08 sometime in the religious world even in our own? 40:11 Every one of you here has been through that. 40:13 What nature did He take? 40:15 That's right. 40:16 He took the nature of Adam, we're in trouble. 40:19 When He came down this world after 4,000 years of sin, 40:21 that's where He took it, 40:22 where the condition of the world 40:24 was after 4,000 years. 40:26 That's our Christ. That's our Jesus. 40:28 That's the one who said, 40:29 "I want to know everything about, 40:31 I want, I come and I've taken this position 40:33 after 4,000 years." 40:35 That's good. 40:36 So now let me read something else here, 40:37 Manuscript 143, 1897 says, 40:40 "By taking upon Himself man's nature 40:44 in its fallen condition 40:47 He was subject to the infirmities 40:49 and the weakness of the flesh." 40:54 Now that's pretty powerful. 40:55 Of course. 40:56 And when you say this, and I've gotten letters 40:58 and some of you probably have too, 40:59 now I'm gonna take my glasses off on this. 41:01 I'm not going to do it, I'm not waste time with it. 41:03 But it's on this point you get letters that say, 41:06 "Well, that's, that's," when Jesus came down here. 41:10 This one that we're reading about here 41:12 in the Book of Daniel in 7:13, when he appeared on the scene. 41:16 That's right. 41:18 You know, there was a reason He appeared on the scene 41:19 and the reason appeared as Heavenly Father. 41:21 It was not His second coming. 41:22 My time's running down there was talking about here, 41:24 it's moving, 41:26 you see, is moving to the Most Holy Place 41:28 where His Father was at to receive His Kingdom, 41:30 just to give you the point. 41:33 You know, we believe this with our whole heart 41:35 when Jesus came down here, 41:36 He accepted humanity and the liabilities of it, 41:39 it was with the possibility 41:41 that He would never go back to heaven. 41:42 That's right. 41:44 I know that's controversial, but still yet 41:45 'cause if He had fallen, if He had sin even in thought, 41:49 He would have never went back to heaven. 41:51 And people just can't grasp that. 41:54 But did He take the human nature? 41:57 Yes, He did. He sure did. 41:58 And so that mean to me 41:59 that just instead of challenging that, 42:01 it makes me love Him more. 42:03 Oh, amen. 42:04 And makes me love Him in order to say, 42:05 and I have no idea what He threw off 42:07 and what he left up there in heaven as it were, 42:10 what He left we can only read about, 42:12 we can only maybe dream about, and then the eye have not seen, 42:15 ears heard, so it's not even entered our heart 42:17 what He gave up when He's seen a miserable creature like me. 42:21 And He said there's something special 42:23 when He looked at you, He said, there's something special. 42:25 That's right. 42:26 And I'm willing to give this up. 42:27 How many of us are willing to give up on anything in here 42:30 and even comfort? 42:31 Well, it's little cold, I don't wanna go on 42:33 and give a Bible study. 42:34 No, it was cold, I don't wanna go to prayer meeting. 42:36 While it's cold, it might be raining, 42:38 weather report says there's 50% chance of rain. 42:40 I'm not gonna... 42:41 I'm get off of that. 42:43 But you know what I'm talking about excuses, excuses. 42:45 He left the courts of heaven. 42:48 And He came down here 42:49 with the possibility of never going back, 42:51 it makes me weep almost think about right now. 42:53 It just, it blows my mind. 42:55 I say, "Thank You, Lord. 42:56 I'm glad that You did." 42:58 Coming to the Son of Man here is not referring, 43:00 we mentioned to the Second Coming 43:02 in the clouds of heaven, 43:03 not coming from heaven to earth, 43:05 but is moving from one place in heaven 43:08 to another that we're talking about here too. 43:10 Oh, I love when you said appeared 43:11 before the Ancient of Days. 43:13 We talk about this, whoo, two powers coming together. 43:16 How does the universe standing almost, 43:18 you know, it's power coming together. 43:20 This reminds us a description of the high priests. 43:23 You remember on the Day of Atonement, 43:24 He had this cloud of incense all around Him. 43:27 He enters the Most Holy Place on the Day of Atonement. 43:31 What was He doing? 43:32 He is performing 43:33 the purification of the sanctuary. 43:37 What's going on in heaven? 43:38 Then we're talking about a judgment here. 43:40 We're talking about powers that's it's involved here, 43:43 it's trying to tear down the Word of God 43:45 and trying to make sure 43:47 there's not a cleansing of the sanctuary, 43:48 you know, so we realize it's all going to happen. 43:51 It's all going to take place, praise God. 43:53 The Son of Man is also royal. 43:55 I'm so glad you read verse 14. 43:57 It shows this man it was talking about 43:59 there was coming into the Ancient of Days. 44:01 He's royal because it says there in Daniel 7:14, 44:06 "That was given to Him dominion 44:07 and glory and kingdom and power, 44:08 nations, and language should serve Him. 44:12 And His kingdom shall not," what? 44:14 "It shall not pass away." 44:16 I'm running out of time. 44:18 All will serve Him 44:20 and serve Him can be translated, 44:21 that word translated is worship Him. 44:24 Many times I give you illustrations 44:25 that the Chapters 1-7 appears 44:28 9 different times you realize Daniel 3:12, 44:30 Daniel 3:17 44:32 is talking about serving their Gods. 44:34 We're talking about worship. 44:35 As John mentioned, this deals with worship 44:38 and who we worship, 44:39 make sure we worship the right one. 44:41 Amen. 44:42 Thank you so much, Pastor Kenny, 44:44 aren't you grateful 44:46 that Jesus is the Son of God and the Son of Man? 44:49 Thank you. 44:50 What a powerful study each one of you. 44:52 We talked about the four beasts and I was gonna say Revelation. 44:57 I don't know where I got that 44:58 from the four beasts in Daniel Chapter 7, 45:01 the little horn power, 45:02 the judgment scene taking place there 45:05 in heaven and who Jesus is. 45:07 And I think my day is the my favorite one 45:11 because I get to talk about the saints of the Most High, 45:14 The Holy Ones of the Most High. 45:17 This is about you and I, all of this concerns us, 45:21 but this most definitely concerns us 45:22 'cause it's about us. 45:24 We're gonna talk about the dominion of the saints 45:27 of the Most High, 45:28 and the persecution that the saints 45:31 of the Most High will need to endure, 45:33 have endured during this time of little horn power, 45:36 and will endure again in the future. 45:39 But first, we wanna look at the back of the book, 45:41 Revelation 12:11, we're gonna start there, 45:45 and then we'll go back to Daniel 7. 45:47 Because the back of the book says, we win. 45:50 Verse 11, "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, 45:53 " who's they, 45:55 "this is the saints of the Most High." 45:57 Overcame him, who is him? 45:59 Satan. 46:00 "By the blood of the lamb 46:01 and the word of their testimony, 46:03 and they did not love their lives to the death." 46:06 We know Revelation 12:7 says, 46:08 "War broke out in heaven." 46:11 And Christ fought against Satan, 46:14 and Satan did not win, 46:16 and he was cast down to the earth. 46:18 And ever since that time, 46:20 there has been this thing we call the great controversy. 46:24 But we know that Christ is victorious 46:26 and the saints will be victorious as well. 46:29 We were overcome 46:31 by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. 46:34 So let's talk about the dominion of the saints. 46:37 Daniel 7:18, 46:39 "The saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, 46:42 and possess the kingdom even forever and ever." 46:47 And then jump down to verse 27. 46:49 "Then the kingdom and dominion, 46:52 and the greatness of the kingdoms 46:53 under the whole heaven, 46:55 shall be given to," whom? 46:56 "The people, the saints of the Most High. 46:59 His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, 47:02 and all dominion shall serve and obey Him." 47:05 Now we know you just read, Pastor Kenny, 47:07 Daniel 7:14, that to Him, 47:10 that's the Son of Man was given dominion 47:13 and glory and a kingdom, 47:15 but here we see that the saints 47:18 will be given dominion. 47:21 In the beginning, Adam had dominion. 47:24 Is that not true? Yes. 47:25 The first Adam, 47:27 I'm talking about all the way in the beginning. 47:28 Genesis 1:28. 47:30 It says, "God blessed them, 47:32 and said, 'Be fruitful and multiply, 47:34 fill the earth and subdue it, 47:36 have dominion over the fish of the sea, 47:37 over the birds of the air, 47:39 over every living thing that moves on the earth." 47:41 So Adam was given dominion as it were, 47:44 over this earth, but then sin entered the world. 47:48 And through that the dominion was lost, 47:50 through that Adam 47:52 as it were gave dominion over to Satan, 47:56 who claimed to be the prince of this world, 47:59 but we know in Romans 5:18-19, 48:04 that the second Adam, 48:06 the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of Man and Son of God, 48:10 that He rested that dominion from Satan, and restored it. 48:15 Romans 5:18-19. 48:17 "Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment 48:20 came to all men," that's through Adam's sin 48:22 we lost that dominion, 48:23 "resulting in condemnation, 48:25 even so through one man's righteous act 48:27 the free gift came to all men, 48:29 resulting in justification of life. 48:31 For as by one man's disobedience 48:33 many were made sinners, 48:35 by one man's obedience many will be made righteous." 48:39 Hallelujah. 48:41 1 Corinthians 15:22, "As in Adam all die, 48:44 even so in Christ shall all be made alive." 48:48 Amen. 48:49 We know Christ restored that dominion at the cross. 48:52 John 12. 48:53 He's looking forward to the cross at this point. 48:55 John 12:31-32, 48:58 "Now is the judgment of this world, 49:01 now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 49:03 And I, if I be lifted up will draw 49:06 all men and women unto Myself." 49:09 So Christ received or we could say, 49:13 bought back as it were the dominion 49:16 that man had lost in the beginning. 49:19 And then we will be given that dominion as saints, 49:23 which is incredible. 49:25 I think about Revelation Chapter 5, 49:28 the enthronement of the lamb. 49:29 This is right after AD 31 where Christ ascends 49:32 to the right hand of the Father. 49:35 And it says in verses 9-10, "They sing a new song, 49:39 'You are worthy to take the scroll, 49:41 and to open it seals, for You were slain, 49:43 and have redeemed us to God by Your blood 49:45 out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation 49:47 and have made us," 49:49 that's the saints of the Most High, 49:51 "kings and priests to our God, 49:53 and we shall reign on the earth." 49:56 Revelation 20:6 says, "Blessed and holy is he 49:59 who has part in the first resurrection. 50:01 Over such the second death has no power, 50:05 but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, 50:08 and shall reign with Him a thousand years." 50:11 So the saints of the Most High are given dominion again 50:15 because Christ was victorious at the cross, 50:18 and we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. 50:21 But even though that is coming, this dominion is coming. 50:24 There is this time of persecution 50:26 that the saints go through, 50:28 the persecution of the saints of the Most High. 50:30 And verse 20, we're going back to Daniel 7, 50:33 Daniel 7:20. 50:37 "And the ten horns that were on its head, 50:39 and the other horn which came up, 50:41 before which three fell, 50:42 " Pastor John already talked about that, 50:44 "namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth 50:46 which spoke pompous words, 50:48 whose appearance was greater than his fellows." 50:50 This is none other than the little horn power 50:52 that Pastor John talked about. 50:54 The Roman Catholic Church reining 50:56 as it were from 538 to 1798, 51:00 1,260 years of papal supremacy. 51:03 But what happened during that time, verse 21, 51:06 "I was watching, and the same horn 51:08 was making war against the saints, 51:11 and prevailing against them." 51:14 We know the papal persecution 51:17 that the Christians endured the Waldenses, 51:20 the Albigenses many, many people 51:23 who wanted to remain true to the Word of God 51:28 who lost their lives. 51:30 It's estimated maybe 50 million people 51:32 were killed during that time, 51:34 and that's taken from a Catholic estimate. 51:37 Other people say much more were killed than that. 51:41 I think of the cry of those who were persecuted, 51:44 who were martyred for their faith 51:46 during those years, that cry comes up to God. 51:50 I think about the seals, we studied that 51:51 in Revelation 6:9-10, 51:53 "The fifth seal when it's opened, 51:55 I saw under the altar the souls of those 51:58 who had been slain for the word of God 52:00 and for the testimony which they held. 52:03 And they cried with a loud voice saying, 52:05 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, 52:07 until You judge and avenge our blood on those 52:10 who dwell on the earth?' 52:11 " So during this time of papal persecution, 52:13 God's people were persecuted and they cried out, 52:17 "God, when is this going to end?" 52:19 And we know that that persecution, 52:22 that little horn power is going to rise again. 52:25 We know that clearly from Revelation, 52:28 but God is going to deliver His people. 52:31 Daniel 7:22, 52:33 "Until the Ancient of Days came, 52:35 and a judgment was made in favor 52:37 of the saints of the Most High, 52:39 and the time came for the saints 52:40 to possess the kingdom." 52:42 God changes everything. 52:43 He possesses all power, He is omnipotent. 52:46 He possesses all knowledge, He is omniscient. 52:49 He is everywhere, He is omnipresent. 52:52 He is eternal. 52:54 The timeline I think, Shelley, you talked about that. 52:56 We have the little horn power, 52:58 then we have after 1798 this time of heavenly judgment, 53:03 we get more specific date 53:04 when we get into Daniel Chapter 8, 53:06 then we have God's eternal kingdom 53:09 when the saints possess the kingdom 53:11 and will reign with Christ. 53:14 I want to leave you with a verse. 53:15 This is Romans 8:35-39. 53:20 I love this passage of scripture 53:22 because whether you are enduring persecution 53:25 or going through a time of hardship, 53:28 nothing can separate you from Jesus Christ. 53:32 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? 53:35 Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, 53:38 or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" 53:40 Jump down to verse 37, 53:42 "Yet in all these things 53:44 we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 53:48 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, 53:52 nor angels nor principalities nor powers, 53:55 nor things present nor things to come, 53:58 nor height nor depth, nor any other creature, 54:02 shall be able to separate us from the love of God 54:05 which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." 54:08 Nothing internal and nothing external 54:13 that Satan tries to bring against you can separate you 54:16 from the love of Christ. 54:18 I'm so grateful that our God sees us 54:24 right in our time of need that He hears us, 54:29 His ear is open to our cry, 54:31 and that He will bring deliverance 54:35 just at the time when we need it most. 54:37 Amen. Great story. 54:39 So we may need to call the fire department here 54:41 in Thompsonville, this panel is on fire. 54:43 Amen. Praise the Lord. 54:45 I love these studies. 54:46 And the Book of Daniel is just so incredible, 54:49 and I just praise the Lord. 54:50 I'm gonna pass it back to the panel this time 54:52 for some closing comments. 54:54 Well, you know, this little horn 54:55 we talked about is, 54:57 I wanna go back to the actual way God sees it. 55:00 God showed Daniel a little horn 55:03 because there's no horn that can take God's place. 55:07 Any horn that attempts to take God's place 55:09 is a little horn because the horns on the altar 55:13 are the reason why we can be redeemed, 55:16 why we can be forgiven. 55:18 God is the horn that rises above all of the horns. 55:21 And when that horn sounds itself 55:24 at the coming of the Lord, 55:26 we will see the final vindication 55:28 above that little horn. 55:30 No matter how stout he gets, 55:32 God's Kingdom will reign eternally. 55:34 Amen. Amen and amen. 55:35 I have no idea what I'm gonna say, 55:37 but what's coming to my mind is verse 10. 55:40 It's where it says, "A fiery stream issued forth," 55:43 you know, God is, the Bible says 55:45 our God is a consuming fire. 55:47 And it's the love of God. 55:51 Think of the reason we can't stand 55:54 before God right now 55:56 without the robe of righteousness 55:59 is because God's love, 56:01 God is love and love consumes sin. 56:04 It is the fire of His love that consumes sin. 56:08 And so just know that the court has been seated. 56:12 This took place after 1798. 56:15 The books were open, 56:16 there is the Book of Life in which our name was written. 56:19 There's the Book of Remembrance that the angels are keeping. 56:22 But we've got to remember Jesus said 56:25 that this word is what we will be judged by. 56:29 So there is a standard that God keeps, 56:32 and don't be afraid of judgment 56:34 because you've got an advocate in heaven 56:36 and judgment is in favor of God's people. 56:39 That's right. That's good. 56:40 I like that. 56:42 But we are in the hour of God's judgment. 56:44 That's right. 56:45 You have an advocate, 56:47 you know, and if we have chosen Christ, 56:48 the words come back from Zachariah 3:4, 56:51 it says, "The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan, 56:55 and I have caused thine iniquity 56:57 to pass from thee." 56:58 Hallelujah. Praise God for that. 57:00 Amen. 57:01 James 1:12, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation 57:05 or endures trial, for when he has been approved, 57:08 he will receive the crown of life 57:11 which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." 57:14 So it might seem like you're enduring 57:16 this time of persecution, but endure to the end, 57:20 and you will receive the crown of life. 57:21 Amen. 57:22 Praise the Lord, I appreciate each and every one of you 57:24 and your comments and what the Lord is doing 57:26 through you to witness to the world and I, 57:29 you can't study a passage like this, 57:31 a chapter like this and not sense the urgency 57:34 that Jesus is coming soon. 57:35 I mean, you can read these chapters, 57:37 these prophetic themes and symbols 57:39 and you can have all that information, 57:41 but at the end of the day, 57:42 I sense that there's just an ultimate call 57:45 from the Lord saying, "I'm coming. 57:46 I'm on my way. 57:48 I've told you in My Word, I foretold it. 57:49 Be ready and be watchful." 57:51 Anyways, that brings us 57:53 to the conclusion of our program this week. 57:55 We hope that you get to join us next week 57:57 because next week study 57:59 we're gonna jump into Daniel Chapter 8. 58:00 And we're gonna be talking about 58:01 from Contamination to Purification. 58:05 And so God bless you. 58:07 It's a blessing to have you. 58:08 We hope to see you next week. |
