00:01 The Bible tells us, "In the beginning was the Word,
00:03 and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 00:07 It says, "To receive with meekness 00:10 the implanted Word, 00:11 which is able to save your souls. 00:14 And to be diligent to present yourself 00:16 approved to God, 00:18 rightly dividing the Word of truth." 00:20 Join us now for the 3ABN Sabbath School Panel. 00:24 Our study is the Book of Daniel. 00:32 Hello, I'm Shelley Quinn, and we welcome you 00:35 to the final lesson of the Book of Daniel. 00:38 I cannot believe it. 00:40 We're so glad you're joining us 00:41 for Sabbath School Panel and just... 00:45 This has been such an incredible study. 00:47 If you do not have a quarterly, 00:52 I want to encourage you, 00:53 even though we're on the final lesson, 00:56 go to ABSG.Adventist.org 01:02 and download this wonderful quarterly 01:05 that was written by the director 01:06 of the Biblical Research Institute 01:10 of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. 01:11 It's just a fabulous study. 01:14 And Daniel has so much to say to us today 01:18 that is relevant 01:20 because it is apocalyptic prophecy 01:22 that goes to the end of time. 01:24 So thank you for joining us. 01:25 Let me introduce 01:27 the family sitting at the table. 01:29 Brother Kenny Shelton. 01:31 Thank you, Pastor, for joining us. 01:33 It's been a privilege. I have enjoyed it. 01:35 Thank you. 01:36 And, Sister Jill Morikone. 01:38 Thank you, Shelley. 01:40 I've learned so much 01:41 this quarter from our study together. 01:43 We have enjoyed your lessons very much. 01:45 Then my pastor, Pastor John Lomacang. 01:48 Thank you, Shelley. We have really stuck together. 01:51 This has been the entire team for the journey. 01:53 And it's kind of sad 01:55 we're coming to the end of the journey, 01:56 but he that endures to the end. 01:57 That's right. 01:59 And praise God, He's given us the strength to do that. 02:00 Amen. 02:02 And then Pastor Ryan Day who keeps saying, 02:03 he's getting revived through the study. 02:05 I mean, this is powerful. 02:07 And I know that this lesson is going to help 02:09 bring us to the Promised Land. 02:11 Amen. We're moving toward, so... 02:12 Amen. Amen. 02:14 Ryan, would you like to have our prayer, please? 02:16 Absolutely. 02:17 Father in heaven, Lord. 02:20 Here we are in the last study of this powerful lesson, 02:23 series of lessons on the Book of Daniel. 02:25 And, Lord, we have saw You all through this week. 02:28 We see you poking out 02:29 and peeking out behind every verse, Lord. 02:31 And it's been such a reviving experience. 02:34 And so, as we take on this last short 02:37 but very significant chapter in Daniel, 02:39 we ask Lord that You again just bathe us, 02:41 just completely drown us, Lord, 02:43 in Your Spirit that what comes out 02:45 is You and not us. 02:47 Hide us behind Jesus and may Your word be sure 02:50 and communicated clearly today. 02:52 We ask in Jesus' name. Amen. 02:54 Amen. 02:55 Amen. Okay. 02:56 Our study today is from Dust to Stars. 02:59 And you'll see why when we read the memory text. 03:02 It's Daniel 12:3. 03:04 It says, "Those who are wise shall shine 03:08 like the brightness of the firmament. 03:10 And those who turn many to righteousness 03:14 like the stars forever and ever." 03:17 You know, this reminds me of Philippians 2:15-16, 03:21 where it says that the children of God 03:23 will be without fault in a crooked generation. 03:26 But it says in which you shine like stars 03:30 as you hold out the word of life. 03:33 You can be a star for Jesus 03:36 by sharing the good news of the gospel 03:39 of His grace with others. 03:41 So, what we're seeing here, 03:43 the Book of Daniel began 03:44 with Nebuchadnezzar taking captives into Babylon. 03:49 But it ends in contrast with Jesus standing up 03:54 to deliver His people. 03:57 And all through Daniel, 03:59 we see that God works everything out 04:03 for the benefit of His children. 04:05 Right? His eternal benefit. 04:06 And He's going to do this for us even during 04:10 as Daniel 1 says a time of trouble, 04:13 such as never was or never shall be again. 04:18 So let's look at Sunday's lesson. 04:20 I have Michael, Our Prince. 04:23 I had that, actually, we did the prince of... 04:28 The Victorious Prince a couple of lessons ago, 04:31 which was on Daniel 10. 04:33 But each chapter of Daniel 04:34 starts off mentioning a rule of chapters, 04:38 1 through 11 are mentioning pagan rulers. 04:41 But now Chapter 10, 04:43 we're talking about the one 04:45 whose change has changed the course 04:47 of history at the end of times. 04:49 The divine deliverer is going to stand up 04:53 and rescue His people. 04:54 Let's look at that, Daniel 12:1 says, 04:59 "At that time, Michael shall stand up, 05:03 that great prince who stands 05:05 watch over the sons of your people." 05:08 Now, when it says at that time, 05:11 he's referring to the time period 05:13 that was just mentioned 05:15 in Daniel 11:40-45, 05:17 which extended from the fall of the papacy 05:20 1798 till the very end, 05:22 till the resurrection at the time of the end. 05:26 Let me just kind of do a quick review. 05:28 The most prominent figure 05:30 in Daniel was the son of one that 05:33 He's initially introduced as the Son of man. 05:37 Daniel 8:11 calls Him the Prince of the host, 8:25, 05:41 the Prince of Princes. 05:42 Daniel 9:25, Messiah, the Prince. 05:46 So we have no question who this great Prince is. 05:50 We learned in our study of Daniel Chapter 10 05:55 that the great Prince Michael 05:59 is none other than Jesus Christ Himself. 06:02 Now, some people have a difficult time understanding 06:06 that Michael when, 06:08 when it's talking about him being an angel. 06:12 Angel means messenger. 06:15 And Michael actually means one who is like God. 06:19 Yes. 06:21 So we looked in Daniel 10:13, 06:23 because Daniel mentions Michael three times. 06:27 It says, "Michael, one of the chief princes." 06:30 Well, people say, Aha. 06:32 See, He's only one of them. It can't be Jesus. 06:35 You have to look at the word there for one. 06:39 One is Echad, E-C-H-A-D. 06:44 This is a unique plural word that is used of God. 06:49 It means several components that are one. 06:52 So when it says, "Hear O Israel, 06:54 the Lord, our God is one God." 06:56 It's using the same here. 06:58 Daniel 10:21 says, "Michael, Your Prince." 07:03 He's the Prince of God's people. 07:06 And every reference to Michael, He's called the Prince, 07:10 your Prince, the great Prince. 07:12 And it reminds us of Isaiah 9:6 07:16 when he says, 07:18 "His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, 07:20 Mighty God, Everlasting Father, 07:23 Prince of Peace." 07:25 So Michael is the Prince. 07:27 He's the leader of the Heavenly Army. 07:30 When in Revelation 12:7, 07:31 it says, "War broke out in heaven. 07:33 Michael and His angels fought with the dragon, 07:36 and the dragon and his angels fought back" 07:39 What does this remind you of? 07:40 Joshua 5:4-15. He's the captain of the host. 07:46 But now the verb stand is really interesting 07:50 because it evokes both a military 07:54 and a judicial aspect of Christ's work. 07:59 Primarily it's used in the military sense it's, 08:03 as in the rise of kings to rule and conquer. 08:07 So, Michael is the military heavenly leader. 08:11 He's the captain of the host, as I've said, 08:13 and He's going to lead His people in a special way 08:16 during the final stages of the great controversy. 08:20 But stand also indicates a judgment setting. 08:26 And our great Prince, Michael, 08:30 Jesus comes before the Ancient of Days 08:34 to represent God's people 08:36 during the investigative judgment. 08:38 We looked at that in Daniel 7:9-14. 08:41 And as the Son of man, He stands as our advocate. 08:47 So He's invested 08:48 with power to defeat His enemies 08:52 and with authority to represent 08:55 God's people in the heavenly tribunal. 08:57 Now let's look at Daniel 10 or 12:1 again. 09:01 He says, Michael's going to stand up and it says, 09:04 "There shall be a time of trouble, 09:07 such as never was since there was a nation." 09:11 This is a worst time of trouble in Matthew 24. 09:14 I think it is. 09:15 You know why? 09:17 Probation is going to close for the whole earth. 09:20 This is it. 09:22 This is the whole enchilada, as you will. 09:26 He says, "At that time 09:29 your people shall be delivered 09:33 everyone whose name is found written in the book." 09:38 And it's talking about the Lamb's Book of Life. 09:41 When you accept Christ as your savior, 09:44 your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. 09:48 Now, it doesn't mean that it can never be removed. 09:51 We looked at, you know, we think about Moses saying, 09:54 "Oh, don't strike their names from the Book of Life." 09:57 I mean, if you do not stay 10:00 in covenant relationship with the Lord, 10:02 you're in trouble. 10:04 But as long as you're in Christ, 10:05 you can have assurance of salvation. 10:08 I mean, you can have complete security in Christ 10:12 because He will bring salvation 10:15 to completion for all believers. 10:17 Let me read you a couple of scriptures that I just love. 10:21 Romans 8:31. 10:24 Romans 8:31. 10:26 Let's turn there and look at this passage. 10:28 Beautiful passage. It is a beautiful passage. 10:30 Roman 8 is probably 10:32 my favorite chapter in the whole Bible. 10:34 He says, this is Paul writing and he says, 10:37 "What then shall we say to these things 10:40 if God is for us, who can be against us?" 10:43 The Greek construction 10:45 would have been better translated 10:48 since God is for us. 10:50 "So since God is for us, who can be against us? 10:54 He who did not spare His own Son, 10:57 but delivered Him up for us all, 11:00 how shall He not with Him, with Christ, 11:04 also freely give us all things." 11:07 Think about this, Romans 5:8 says that 11:09 God demonstrated His love for us in that 11:13 while we were still sinners, while we were enemies of God. 11:18 He sent His Son to die for us. 11:20 I mean, that is just so amazing. 11:22 Would He do any less for us now that we are His children? 11:27 Ain't that amazing? 11:29 And when it says that 11:30 He will freely give us all things, 11:33 He bestows all things on us by His grace. 11:37 Verse 33, Romans 8:33, 11:39 "Who shall bring a charge against God's elect." 11:43 It is God who justifies. 11:44 This is a divine courtroom setting here. 11:47 "Who is he who condemns? 11:49 It is Christ who died, and furthermore has also risen. 11:52 Who is even at the right hand of God, 11:56 who also makes intercession for us?" 12:01 We are found justified, 12:05 innocent, if you will, pardoned 12:09 because of Christ's death and His resurrection 12:13 and His exalted position and His continual intercession. 12:18 When He said it is finished on the cross, 12:21 He was talking about the sacrificial system. 12:24 All that He came to accomplish on earth was finished, 12:27 but His work did not finish. 12:29 He is in heaven now, serving as our high priest, 12:33 constantly interceding for us. 12:35 He says, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ. 12:40 Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine 12:44 or nakedness or peril or sword? 12:47 God's people have always faced persecution, 12:50 but they've always triumphed 12:51 by God's love and sovereign power, 12:54 haven't they? 12:55 As Psalm 23 says, "Yea, though I walk 12:59 through the valley of the shadow of death, 13:01 I will fear no evil, for you are with me. 13:04 Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 13:06 That's right. Amen. 13:08 Amen. Praise the Lord. 13:10 What a good, what a good start. 13:12 You know the lesson, 13:13 and we were looking at the same passage here. 13:16 So, you know, for Monday's lesson 13:18 written in the book. 13:19 So we've got to find something that's written in the book 13:21 and we pray that it's your name is written 13:23 in the Lamb's Book of Life. 13:24 And so, there might be some that's tuning in that 13:26 maybe didn't hear Sister Shelley 13:28 read Daniel 12:1. 13:29 So I'd like to read it once again. 13:33 Daniel 12:1 says, 13:34 "At that time shall Michael stand up. 13:36 The Great Prince, 13:37 which standeth for the children of thy people. 13:40 There shall be a time of troubles 13:42 such as never was since there was a nation, 13:44 even to that same time. 13:47 And at that time thy people 13:49 shall be delivered every one that 13:52 shall be found written in the book." 13:56 I would assume that if that passage 14:00 was given to everyone here on the panel, 14:02 that there would be all different kinds of thoughts 14:04 that would come from there. 14:05 Then that's good because the Holy Spirit 14:07 works differently on the hearts and the minds. 14:09 Several things really came in my mind of this lesson. 14:13 First of all, maybe, maybe the most important thing 14:15 we realize is gonna be a time of trouble 14:17 the world has never seen before. 14:19 We think about destruction of Jerusalem, 14:20 and what a mess that was. 14:22 This is gonna be worse than that time 14:23 as the Holy Spirit's being withdrawn, 14:25 probation closed, so on so forth. 14:27 But I want to focus on the words 14:28 found written in the book. 14:30 You mentioned that, found written in the book. 14:32 We like our names written down. 14:35 We talk about, you know, 14:36 is it written in this church book 14:37 or is it this book over here? 14:39 The main thing I want to encourage you 14:40 and that's nice to have that 14:42 because you could find that in school, 14:43 whether you're absent or you're present. 14:46 But in the Lamb's Book of Life is life eternal. 14:50 So it has to be there. 14:51 If you want to go to heaven, a book, you know, 14:53 our name must be written in that Book of Life. 14:56 That's the important point here. 14:58 I think you brought it out 14:59 that in Daniel 11:40-45, 15:05 are very closely related. 15:08 And so, we had to look at that in point of time. 15:11 Daniel says at that time 15:13 or in that time refers to the time 15:17 when that power, you know, the power of Dan, 15:19 time of Daniel comes to an end. 15:21 That power that we've been talking about 15:23 that's tried to persecute, kill God's people, 15:25 do everything possible to make sure 15:27 no one makes it to heaven. 15:29 But at that time, 15:30 it's got that power is going to come to an end. 15:32 One of the translation that is going to disappear. 15:35 So I praise God for that. It's going to disappear. 15:37 And that's the time that you mentioned 15:39 that Michael is going to stand up. 15:42 That's what we can count on. 15:44 That's what we can be encouraged 15:45 with at that time when it seems like 15:48 and there'll be some of you say, 15:49 well, you know, at that, 15:51 when that time comes, I'm going to be what? 15:52 Be raptured away. 15:53 I'm not going to go through that time of trouble. 15:55 You know, don't fool yourself. 15:57 I just encourage you to get into 15:58 the Word of God, 15:59 because the enemy, the counterfeit would be. 16:01 I'm not going to study. I'm not going to read. 16:03 It had to be prepared. 16:04 I'm not worried about this big time of trouble 16:06 because I'll just be gone when it happens. 16:09 I would say to you, what if, 16:11 what if that was a false doctrine 16:13 in teaching? 16:14 Do you have that experience with Christ right now 16:17 that you can count upon Him that He will help you 16:19 and lead you through this time of trouble 16:21 where your bread and water would be sure. 16:24 It's time for the Prince. 16:26 He's going to stand for His children. 16:29 He's going to deliver His people, 16:31 we can be assured of that. 16:33 And so, I don't want to get discouraged 16:34 at all this time of trouble. 16:36 People begin to shake when that happens. 16:37 And when I think about it, 16:38 I also get a little bit nervous in that sense, 16:41 because of my humanness, 16:43 not because of the prince, not because of who He is, 16:45 but because of myself and my relationship with Him. 16:48 This world is in a mess. What do we say? 16:51 I think we'd agree, the world is in a mess. 16:54 God's people desperately need to be delivered, 16:56 every one of us. 16:58 But we can't be delivered unless we're found 16:59 written in the Lamb's Book of Life. 17:01 Simply this, if you don't understand, 17:02 you've never heard it before. 17:04 Simply giving your life to Jesus Christ, 17:05 confessing your sins, coming to Him, 17:07 and giving your life to Him 17:09 and your name then is written in the book. 17:11 You know, and Jesus says, you know, 17:12 no man can take you out That's right. 17:14 You take yourself out. Yeah. 17:16 No man can take you out. 17:18 So Jesus stands in the behalf, right? 17:20 For the children of people. 17:22 He stands over His people. I like that. 17:24 He stands to protect His people, 17:26 just like He did with Israel. 17:27 You know, the cloud by day, ain't that right? 17:30 I sense Him standing over His children, taking care. 17:33 He was interested if they were a little bit too hot. 17:35 He's taking care of them with that cloud, 17:37 isn't that right? 17:38 He was interested 17:40 because they were little chilly at night. 17:41 It's cold, and so that fire by night. 17:42 So that's what he says, 17:44 I'm going to stand there and take care of you. 17:45 This is a time talking about here in Daniel 12:1. 17:50 It's a time when that third angel's message 17:53 comes to a close. 17:55 I had to be honest with you and I, you know, 17:57 and I'm praying that Lord, you know, will help me. 18:00 I read through it last night again 18:02 and I cried. 18:04 Is it okay to be honest? Oh, absolutely. 18:05 Yeah. Why? 18:07 Because at this time that very few of us, 18:11 including myself, really understand 18:12 what's going to take place. 18:14 Yeah. 18:15 And when probation is closed, no one else will ever come. 18:19 That's right. 18:20 You think of your family, your children, your church. 18:23 This is a time that that third angel's message 18:25 comes to a close. 18:27 Everyone has made a decision either for or against Christ. 18:31 That's right. Yes. Yeah. 18:32 And we find that God's people at that time, before that, 18:36 they've received the latter rain. 18:38 It's empowered them and equipped them 18:40 to go through this time. 18:41 It's a refreshing from the Lord 18:43 so that it will able His people to go through it. 18:45 That tells me that if that hasn't happened 18:47 at this point in time, I'm going to need some more. 18:49 That's right. 18:51 I'm going to need a closer relationship 18:52 with Jesus Christ than ever before. 18:54 You know, we've got to beat. 18:56 We need to be prepared for that time, 18:57 because I really think that it's just before us. 19:00 I really do with all my heart. 19:01 It's just, it's just before us. 19:03 The final test has come upon the world. 19:07 And to find that part of that 19:08 final test is the test of the seventh day Sabbath. 19:11 That's right. 19:13 We've read that because it said in Daniel 7:25, 19:15 "And he shall think to change times and laws." 19:18 We've been talking about the man of sin. 19:20 We've been talking about how the devil has used 19:22 different circumstances and people and nations in power 19:25 just to uproot all these beautiful truths 19:27 that God has had and man has thrown dirt on it. 19:30 And God said, I'll have a people in last days 19:31 is going uncover all these beautiful truths 19:34 and gonna bring him to the forefront. 19:35 Everything's going to be 19:37 restored back the way that it was. 19:38 I praise God for that. 19:41 Only those that have proved faithful to Jesus Christ 19:45 will receive the seal of the living God 19:48 there in Revelation Chapter 7. 19:51 This is a time that breaks your heart in the sense. 19:54 This is the time that Jesus, 19:57 He ceases His intercession in the Most Holy Place. 20:02 He actually stopped, says it's done. 20:03 It's finished again in the heavenly sanctuary. 20:06 It's done. 20:07 No one, no one can come to Christ after this. 20:13 You know, Revelation 22:11 said, 20:15 Jesus said, "He that is unjust or you know be unjust, 20:18 he that he is filthy, be filthy still. 20:20 He that is righteous, will be" what? 20:21 "Righteous still. 20:23 He that's holy, will be holy still." 20:24 Those words will be meaningful, 20:26 very meaningful at this point in time. 20:29 And, of course, Revelation 15:8. 20:33 When Jesus finishes 20:35 His ministry in the most holy place 20:36 as our mediator standing for us, 20:38 He stands up 20:40 and the Bible says the smoke fills what? 20:41 Smoke fills the temple, you notice that. 20:44 The glory of God from His power. 20:47 No man is able to go into the temple anymore. 20:50 Why? 20:51 And the seven last plagues are being what? 20:54 Are being poured out. Yeah. 20:55 That's right It's being fulfilled. 20:56 What a time that's going to be. 20:58 Those of you who have studied about the seven last plagues, 21:01 what it's going to do to this world? 21:02 We need a savior. 21:04 Book of Daniel says it all through here. 21:06 We're going to need a relationship 21:07 that many of us, maybe we don't have right now. 21:10 And we need to be 21:12 gaining that experience right now with Jesus. 21:14 And so, I say and I beg and I plead with you, 21:16 is your name, is your name written in that 21:19 Lamb's Book of Life, Revelation 21:27. 21:22 Is it written there? If not, why not? 21:25 That's right. Yeah. It can be. 21:27 This is what all these lessons are about. 21:28 This is what church is based on. 21:30 Our relationship is the name there, 21:31 I'm going to... 21:32 I'm going to pick out just several real quick lines 21:34 here from The Great Controversy. 21:35 Just listen to it quickly as I read through here. 21:37 I want to read them all but I'm saying Lord have mercy. 21:40 Notice this. Let it hit your heart. 21:43 That as it hit my heart and made me shed tears over, 21:45 it says when, when Jesus, when He leaves the sanctuary, 21:49 darkness covers the inhabitants of the earth. 21:52 The wicked have passed the boundary 21:55 of this probation. 21:57 The Spirit of God persistently resisted has been withdrawn. 22:02 Oh Lord, have mercy. 22:04 The whole world will be involved in ruin. 22:07 More terrible than 22:08 which came upon Jerusalem of old. 22:11 The righteous must live in the side of a Holy God 22:14 without a mediator. 22:16 Satan has entire complete control over this world. 22:22 Oh, for those who have rejected God, 22:25 those who honor the law of God had been accused of, what? 22:31 Bringing the judgments on the world. 22:32 Everything is happening is in the world. 22:34 Things are going on and the fingers 22:36 going to be pointed at you or me if we are faithful. 22:39 Convulsions of nature and strife and, you know, 22:42 economic collapse, you name it, what's going on? 22:45 And so, I say, is your name written 22:47 in the Lamb's Book of Life? 22:48 These things are going to happen. 22:50 What a time, I say that song is be, 22:53 when my Jesus, I shall see. 22:55 When we look upon His face, 22:56 the one who saved me by His grace. 22:58 When He takes me by the hand 23:00 and leads me to that Promised Land. 23:01 What a day, glorious day that will be. 23:04 I think that what we have been studying here. 23:06 And I challenge you right now, please by the grace of God 23:09 before this program ends, 23:10 make sure you've given your life 23:12 to Jesus Christ, make sure that your name 23:15 is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. 23:19 Thank you, Brother Kenny, 23:20 I appreciate your compassionate heart. 23:22 And that was an earnest plea from his heart. 23:25 And we hope you will accept that. 23:27 We are going to take a quick break. 23:29 We'll be right back. 23:36 Ever wish you could watch 23:37 a 3ABN Sabbath School Panel again, 23:39 or share it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter? 23:42 Well, you can by visiting 3abnsabbathschoolpanel.com. 23:47 A clean design makes it easy 23:50 to find the program you're looking for. 23:52 There are also links to the Adult Bible Study Guide 23:55 so you can follow along. 23:57 Sharing is easy. 23:59 Just click share and choose your favorite social media. 24:02 Share a link, save a life for eternity. 24:08 Welcome back. 24:10 And now we continue 24:11 with Jill Morikone for Tuesday's lesson. 24:13 Thank you so much, Shelley and Pastor Kenny, 24:15 what a serious time that this is. 24:19 This time when Michael stands up, 24:21 I have verses 2 and 3, Daniel 12:2-3 24:24 as Shelley and Pastor Kenney beautifully already set up. 24:28 Michael has just stood up. 24:31 This means that the investigative judgment 24:33 going on in heaven that we've studied about 24:35 in Daniel Chapter 7 is over. 24:38 And as Pastor Kenney read in Revelation 22, 24:41 he who is unjust, let him be unjust still. 24:44 He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. 24:46 But he who is righteous and holy, 24:49 let them be righteous and holy still. 24:51 Amen. 24:52 The very next event here is verse 2, 24:55 and that is the second coming of Christ. 24:57 Amen. 24:58 The coming of Christ is the hope of Christians 25:00 down through the ages. 25:02 For those who are persecuted and have been in distress, 25:06 for those who are sick or sad or troubled, 25:09 for those who live in this world, 25:10 that's all of us, 25:12 the second coming of Christ is the hope of Christians. 25:15 So let's read verses 2 and 3, Daniel 12:2-3. 25:19 "Many of those who sleep 25:20 in the dust of the earth shall awake, 25:23 some to everlasting life, 25:25 some to shame and everlasting contempt. 25:28 Those who are wise shall shine 25:30 like the brightness of the firmament, 25:33 and those who turn many to righteousness 25:35 like the stars forever." 25:37 Now I want to look at this in a little different angle, 25:40 hopefully by the end 25:41 you're going to see where I'm going. 25:43 We're going to look at three different things. 25:45 I want to discuss the proposal, 25:47 the provision and the reunion. 25:52 So let's look at the proposal. 25:53 In Bible prophecy, we know the church 25:57 is representative of Christ's bride. 26:00 Or you could say Christ's bride is represented by the church. 26:05 We know this from Revelation 12:1 26:07 as well as Jeremiah 6:2. 26:09 "I have likened the daughter of Zion 26:11 to a lovely and delicate woman." 26:13 So, let's look at Revelation 19:7. 26:18 If you think about the Church of Christ being His bride, 26:22 Christ wants to be married to His church 26:25 and He wants to be reunited with His people. 26:29 That will take place at the second coming of Christ. 26:32 We will have all eternity to be with the bridegroom. 26:35 That's the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. 26:37 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give him glory, 26:41 for the marriage of the lamb has come, 26:44 and his wife has made herself ready." 26:45 That's right. 26:47 Now, in Jewish tradition, when a couple became engaged, 26:49 the groom paid the dowry. 26:51 The couple were then considered married. 26:54 They could not live together. 26:56 The groom was instead 26:57 preparing a place for the bride to live. 27:00 That's right. And the bride prepared herself. 27:03 Now, if we are the bride of Christ on the cross, 27:07 Christ paid our dowry. 27:10 We are married, 27:12 even though we're not with Him yet, 27:14 and we're not living together, we are married. 27:17 And the groom, that's the Lord Jesus, 27:18 has gone to prepare a place for us. 27:21 We see that in John 14. 27:24 "Let not your heart be troubled. 27:26 You believe in God, believe also in me. 27:28 In My Father's house are many mansions. 27:30 If it were not so, I would have told you. 27:32 I go to prepare a place for you, 27:34 and if I go and prepare a place for you, 27:36 I will come again and receive you unto Myself. 27:40 That where I am, there you may be also." 27:42 That's right. That's right. 27:44 So, in this waiting time, 27:47 the job of the bride is to prepare herself 27:50 for the wedding and for the marriage 27:52 to the groom. 27:53 So that leads us to number two, the provision. 27:57 Let's read Revelation 19:8. 27:59 "And to her, it was granted to be arrayed." 28:02 This is the bride of Christ. 28:03 "This is the church to be arrayed in fine linen, 28:07 clean and bright, 28:09 for the fine linen is the righteous 28:11 acts of the saints." 28:12 Now this fine linen that's clean and bright, 28:14 the word for clean means pure, 28:17 unstained, guiltless, innocent. 28:21 So the bride of Christ is to be perfect. 28:25 The bride of Christ is to be without fault, 28:28 to be wearing this white linen. 28:31 So, I want to look briefly at the garment of righteousness 28:35 as portrayed in the scriptures. 28:38 I think there's three garments 28:40 of righteousness in the scriptures. 28:42 The first garment. 28:43 Now, all of these garments might not be explicitly stated, 28:46 but I believe we can find them. 28:47 The first garment 28:49 is the self-righteousness of man. 28:52 We know in Isaiah 64 that 28:54 all our righteousness is as filthy rags. 28:58 The self-righteousness of man falls far, 29:02 far short of the righteousness of Christ. 29:05 It is nothing. It accounts for nothing. 29:09 But yet sometimes we think 29:11 we're getting ready for the marriage with Christ 29:15 by wearing our own righteousness. 29:18 That will never work. 29:20 Philippians 3:9, "And being found in him 29:23 not having my own righteousness, 29:25 which is from the law. 29:27 But that which is through faith in Christ, 29:29 the righteousness which is from God by faith." 29:32 That brings us 29:33 to the righteousness number two. 29:35 The garment, number two, 29:37 the imputed righteousness of Christ. 29:40 We see that in Romans 4:3. 29:41 Paul is actually quoting from Genesis 15. 29:44 He says, "Abraham believed God 29:46 and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 29:50 That means at that moment, justification has taken place. 29:54 And Christ has taken off our own righteous, 29:57 unrighteous garment, 29:59 our filthy garments and clothed us 30:02 with His spotless robe of righteousness. 30:04 That's right. Amen. 30:06 That's what happened in Zachariah 3 30:07 when Joshua was 30:09 before the angel in filthy garments 30:10 and God came and covered him 30:12 with the righteous robe of the Lord, Jesus Christ. 30:16 Amen. 30:17 Garment number three, 30:18 the imparted righteousness of Christ. 30:23 Now this is different from justification. 30:25 This is different from that 30:26 white robe that Christ places on us. 30:29 Look at Revelation 19:8, "To her, 30:31 it was granted to be arrayed 30:33 in fine linen, clean and bright, 30:36 for the fine linen is the righteous acts 30:37 of the saints." 30:39 Now you might say, "Okay, I'm covered with Christ's robe, 30:41 and that means at that moment I am saved." 30:45 That's justification. 30:46 But at the same time, 30:48 if I'm supposed to be at this wedding 30:49 and I have righteous act, how in the world do I do that? 30:53 That is through allowing Christ in you. 30:56 The hope of glory to enable you to live Christ's life. 31:02 It's all Christ's righteousness again. 31:06 But it's us being willing to die to self. 31:08 Die to sin, abiding in Him, 31:11 as John 15 talks about in the vine, 31:14 and letting Him work out 31:17 His righteous character in our own hearts 31:21 and in our own lives. 31:23 So let's look at, 31:24 we looked at the proposal and the provision. 31:27 What about the reunion? 31:29 This is the second coming of Christ 31:31 because of Christ imputed and imparted righteousness, 31:35 there is no need to fear the judgment. 31:37 And there is no need to be afraid 31:41 of the second coming of Christ. 31:43 Christ wants to sanctify us 31:45 so that we are ready for His coming. 31:48 For the wicked though we know there is fear. 31:50 When Christ comes again, there will be fear. 31:53 Revelation 6 talks about the sixth seal. 31:56 And this is where the people say fall on us, 31:59 the rocks and hide us from the presence of Him. 32:03 Hide us from Jesus' second coming. 32:05 But if you read the next chapter, 32:06 Revelation Chapter 7, who can stand in that day? 32:11 Those who have the seal of God. 32:13 Those who have His character. 32:16 Let's look briefly 32:18 at the manner of Christ's coming. 32:19 We know Christ coming will be literal. 32:22 We know in Acts 1:9 through 11. 32:25 The disciples watched Jesus go in the cloud up to heaven, 32:28 and the angel says in the same way 32:31 you saw him go, He is going to come again. 32:34 That's right. That's right. 32:35 And we know Christ's coming will be visible. 32:37 Matthew 24:27 is the lightning flashes 32:40 from the east to the west, 32:41 so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 32:44 So, I don't know about you, but you can't miss lightning. 32:46 I can be in bed with my eyes shut trying to sleep, 32:50 and I see the flashes of light. 32:52 That's right. 32:53 Christ's coming will be visible. 32:54 Christ's coming will be audible. 32:57 That's right. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. 33:00 We won't read it all, but it says, 33:02 "The Lord Himself would descend with, 33:05 from heaven with a shout, 33:07 and with the voice of an archangel, 33:09 and the dead in Christ to arise first, 33:11 and then we who are alive and remain 33:13 will be caught up together to meet Him in the air." 33:16 Christ's coming will be universal. 33:19 Revelation 1:7, "Behold, 33:21 He's coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him. 33:24 Those also who pierced Him." 33:26 Everyone will see the second coming of Christ. 33:30 So let's go back to Daniel 12:2, 33:33 "Many of those who sleep in the dust will awake, 33:36 some to everlasting life, 33:37 some to shame and everlasting contempt." 33:40 The righteous, those clothed with Christ's garment 33:44 will be resurrected to join the living, 33:47 who will be transcended to meet Jesus in the air. 33:51 The wicked, those who killed Christ 33:54 specifically will be resurrected 33:57 to witness the second coming of Christ. 34:01 Then we know the rest of the dead 34:04 won't rise again until the second resurrection 34:06 after the thousand years. 34:08 You see that in Revelation Chapter 20. 34:11 So, Christ in the proposal 34:13 is preparing a place for us as His people. 34:16 He gives us the provision that is His righteousness. 34:18 And then I cannot wait for the reunion. 34:21 Amen. Amen. Thank you. 34:22 You guys have really, 34:24 really brought out a whole lot of fire here. 34:27 Let's go on to the next portion. 34:29 Daniel, the sealed book. 34:32 Daniel 12:4, are you ready for a blitz of scripture? 34:35 "But you, Daniel, 34:37 shut up the words and seal the book 34:39 until the time of the end. 34:40 Many shall run to and fro 34:42 and knowledge shall be increased." 34:44 You know, when people read that, 34:45 they often think about scientific knowledge. 34:47 They think about space travel, about 4G, about the Internet, 34:52 about gadgets and devices. 34:54 That's not what that's talking about, 34:56 although it could incorporate that 34:57 because we have things today 34:58 that enhances the communication of the gospel. 35:01 But what he's talking about 35:02 is the revelation of the gospel. 35:04 Remember the Book of Habakkuk 2:2-3? 35:07 Look at what the Bible says about 35:08 what's going to happen in the end 35:10 that could not happen at any other time. 35:12 Habakkuk 2:2-3. 35:14 And this also relates to Daniel 35:15 because he was told to shut up 35:17 the words until the time of the end, 35:18 seal the book. 35:20 And there are certain things that Daniel, 35:23 people in the former ages 35:24 did not understand about Daniel, 35:26 but in the end the book has really been unsealed 35:29 and significant portions of it. 35:30 I'll tell you about that in a moment. 35:32 But it says in Habakkuk 2, 35:34 "Then the Lord answered me and said, 35:35 'Write the vision and make it plain on tablets 35:38 that he may run who reads it. 35:40 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, 35:43 but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie: 35:48 though it tarries, wait for it, 35:51 because it will surely come, it will not tarry." 35:54 The tarrying part, it says, 35:56 though it tarries but it will not tarry, 35:57 means the Lord had a specific time unto 36:01 which He is going to unfold it. 36:02 He says, this is not delaying. 36:04 I just have a particular date set 36:06 that I'm going to open it up. 36:07 And the Lord did not open it up during the Dark Ages 36:10 to keep His enemies in the dark. 36:13 Had they known God's plan for the end time, 36:15 they would have strategically prepared 36:17 a way to eclipse God, God's end time message. 36:21 But what you see is, 36:23 these mysteries all pointed out in the Bible. 36:25 Let's look at some of the mysteries 36:26 that existed during the time of darkness. 36:29 2 Thessalonians 2:7. 36:32 Paul brought this out in his day, 36:34 and he was existing under the rule of Rome, 36:37 "For the mystery 36:38 of lawlessness is already at work," 36:41 or the mystery of iniquity. 36:43 "Only he who now restrains will do 36:47 so until he is taken out of the way." 36:50 And so, there was a restraint held on the gospel 36:52 until the Lord decided to remove the restraint. 36:55 Here's another mystery that was not understood. 36:58 Revelation 17:5. 37:00 It's amazing how Babylon was not fully understood 37:04 during the Dark Ages, 37:05 "And on her forehead a name was written: 37:07 Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of Harlots 37:11 and the Abominations of the Earth." 37:12 During the Dark Ages, 37:14 those who sought light on this topic 37:16 had just glimpses of it, 37:18 because the Lord chose to hide Babylon from itself 37:22 so that he could reveal it to His servants. 37:25 The Bible continues, Revelation 17:7. 37:29 "So the Lord chose to make the knowledge of Babylon clear. 37:32 But the angel said to me, 'Why did you marvel? 37:35 I will tell you the mystery of the woman 37:38 and of the beast that carries her, 37:40 which has seven heads and ten horns.'" 37:42 So the Lord reserved the knowledge 37:43 until a particular time. 37:44 And he said to John, 37:46 they didn't understand it in Daniel's day. 37:47 But I'm going to tell you. 37:49 Let's keep going. 37:51 What about the impact of the light shining? 37:52 What about the impact of the light coming on? 37:54 Revelation 1:20, 37:56 "The mystery of the seven stars 37:58 which you saw in my right hand 38:00 and the seven golden lampstands. 38:02 The seven stars are the angels 38:03 to the seven churches and the seven lampstands, 38:06 which you saw, are the seven churches." 38:08 Notice, the impact of the gospel, 38:10 the Lord turned the light on from Ephesus 38:13 all the way to Laodicea. 38:14 There're some people that say during Laodicea, 38:16 there's no more light. 38:17 That's not true. 38:19 Laodicea was the last day church. 38:21 Its condition was what God wanted to remedy. 38:25 But God was not locking away the truth 38:27 and not using that last church to reveal no more truth. 38:31 It became more and more like a shine, 38:32 like a light that shines more and more onto the perfect day. 38:36 The Bible says, 38:37 the gospel will be revealed in the time of the end. 38:39 Revelation 10:7. 38:41 Notice this, "But in the days 38:43 of the sounding of the seventh angel, 38:45 when he is about to sound, 38:47 the mystery of God would be finished 38:49 as he declared to his servants the prophets." 38:53 It's amazing how God uses that, his servants, the prophets, 38:56 because Amos 3:7 says, 38:58 "Surely the Lord God does nothing 39:00 unless He reveal His secrets to His servants, the prophets." 39:03 Right. Notice the beauty here. 39:05 God keeps His enemies in the dark, 39:07 but He keeps His servants in the light. 39:09 Yes. That's right. 39:10 Colossians 1:26-27. 39:12 The Lord began doing this with the apostles. 39:14 "The mystery, which has been hidden from ages 39:19 and from generations, 39:21 but now has been revealed to His saints." 39:24 To them God willed to make known 39:26 what are the riches of the glory of His mystery 39:28 among the Gentiles, 39:29 which is Christ in you, the hope of... 39:32 Glory. The hope of glory. 39:33 So the Lord chose to begin to unravel what, 39:35 what had been hidden. 39:37 He chose to hide it, to keep the enemy in the dark. 39:41 And then let's look at the end, how Daniel sees the end. 39:45 Many, Daniel 12:7, 39:48 "Many shall be purified, made white and refined. 39:53 But the wicked shall do wickedly." 39:55 And watch this how God keeps the enemy in the dark. 39:58 "And none of the wicked shall understand. 40:00 But the wise shall understand." 40:02 Now God keeps the wicked in the dark for a reason. 40:06 He is the ultimate general. 40:07 He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. 40:10 He is the one reigning over the armies of heaven. 40:12 Do you imagine, can you imagine 40:13 the United States telling Japan their next move 40:15 in World War 2? 40:17 Here's what we gonna do next. 40:18 That's why it's important for the gospel 40:20 to stay in the dark to the enemy, 40:22 but always it's in the light to those who are serving God. 40:25 He made it very clear. 40:26 The wicked, they won't understand. 40:28 And there's a significant reason 40:30 why the wicked don't understand. 40:31 Here's the reason, John 3:3. The wicked are not born again. 40:35 The wicked cannot understand the deep things of God. 40:37 That's why Jesus said to Nicodemus. 40:41 John 3:3, "Most assuredly I say to you, 40:44 unless one is born again, 40:46 he cannot see the kingdom of God." 40:48 So there are those that say, well, you know, 40:50 I've been studying this, 40:51 I've been studying your church, I can't see it. 40:53 My brother, my sister, I know exactly why. 40:55 You're looking for intellectual input. 40:57 God wants spiritual insight. 40:59 Spiritual things are spiritually discern, 41:01 not intellectually, 41:03 intellectually imbibed or ingested. 41:06 Intellect has its limits, because God closes the door 41:10 of intellect on the unborn again, 41:13 but opens the door to intellect and understanding 41:16 on those who are born again. 41:17 He said, "Nicodemus, you are very educated, 41:19 but you can't see until you are born again. 41:22 You won't see the truth of the Sabbath 41:23 until you're born again. 41:25 You'll not understand why the dead stay sleeping 41:27 until Jesus comes again. 41:28 Until you are born again, many things in scripture 41:31 and in prophecy will be a mystery to you. 41:33 You've got to be born again." 41:35 That's right. Let's keep going. 41:37 The Bible says in Romans 16:25, how he reveals continually, 41:42 "Now to him who is able to establish 41:44 who according to my gospel 41:47 and the preaching of Jesus Christ, 41:49 according to the revelation of the mystery, 41:52 kept secret since the world began." 41:55 Once sin entered the world, the Lord said to Satan, 41:58 "He won't even know what's coming." 42:00 That's right. You'll only know who's coming. 42:03 And he knows that he has, 42:05 but a short time, but he does not know. 42:06 God does not allow 42:08 the enemy to know what's coming. 42:09 He allows the enemy to know who's coming, 42:12 and He only lets His servants know. 42:14 That's why Colossians, 42:15 that's why 1 Corinthians 4:1 says, 42:18 "Let a man so consider us as servants of Christ 42:22 and stewards of the mysteries of God." 42:25 Now let me go to the Book of Ephesians. 42:27 And here's what's so powerful about this. 42:29 I'm going to try to get this 42:30 in before the clock ends up leaving me in deep waters. 42:33 Yeah. 42:35 Ephesians 3:8-12, "To me, 42:37 who am less than the least of all saints. 42:40 This grace was given that 42:41 I should preach among the Gentiles, 42:43 the unsearchable riches of Christ, 42:45 and to make all see 42:47 what is the fellowship of the mystery, 42:50 which from the beginning of the ages, 42:51 has been hidden in God, 42:53 who created all things through Jesus Christ 42:55 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God 43:00 might be made known," how? 43:02 "By the church to the principalities 43:04 and powers in the heavenly places 43:06 according to the eternal purpose 43:08 which he accomplished in Christ Jesus, 43:10 our Lord, 43:11 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence 43:14 through faith in him." 43:15 Amen, somebody? 43:17 Amen. Amen. 43:18 So the apostle says, we've got confidence. 43:19 You see, when the Lord makes the knowledge available, 43:21 look what happens. 43:22 Habakkuk 2:14, "For the earth will be filled 43:25 with the knowledge of the glory of God 43:27 as the waters cover the sea, 43:29 and when the earth is filled with the knowledge of God." 43:31 Revelation 18 is going to come to pass. 43:34 The glory of God is going to shine, 43:35 this great light that's going to be turned on. 43:38 What's going to happen? 43:39 Isaiah 60:1-3, "Arise, shine for your light has come 43:43 and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. 43:45 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth 43:48 and deep darkness the people. 43:50 But the law will arise on you 43:52 and His glory will be seen upon you, 43:53 and the Gentiles shall come to your light, 43:56 and the kings to the brightness of your rising." 43:58 You see, He has a purpose for the end time gospel. 44:00 When the Lord reveals it to us, the world will see it. 44:03 That's why Daniel 12:3 says this. 44:05 "Those who are wise shall shine 44:07 like the brightness of the firmaments, 44:09 and those who turn many to righteousness 44:11 like the stars forever and ever." 44:13 And finally, finally, when all the light is revealed, 44:18 Matthew 24:14 will be accomplished. 44:20 "And this gospel of the kingdom 44:22 will be preached into all the world 44:24 as a witness to all nations. 44:25 And then shall the end come?" That's right. 44:29 It's dark to the wicked, but light to the righteous. 44:31 Praise the Lord. Amen. 44:33 Yeah, praise the Lord, my brother. 44:34 You went into treaching mode just then. 44:37 Preach it and teach it. That's awesome. 44:39 Praise the Lord. Well, you know what? 44:41 I'm going to try to sail this ship into the harbor, 44:44 because we're coming down 44:45 to the last few verses of the Book of Daniel. 44:47 And so, I'm going to be taking on verse 5 44:50 through the end to verse 13. 44:52 And so, this, this is Thursday's lesson 44:54 entitled The Waiting Time. 44:56 And I was so excited, Shelley, that you gave me this one, 44:59 because this is one of my favorite 45:01 sections in Bible prophecy, 45:03 because it reveals such a powerful revelation 45:06 of the times from Daniel until the end time or, 45:10 as the Bible puts it, the time of the end. 45:13 And so, I'm going to start in verse 5 here. 45:15 Of course, Daniel is in vision, but it says 45:16 "Then I, Daniel looked and there stood two others, 45:20 one on this riverbank 45:21 and the other on that riverbank. 45:24 And one said to the man clothed in linen. 45:25 Who was above the waters of the river? 45:29 How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?" 45:33 And of course, referencing the wonders, 45:35 he's talking about all these things 45:37 that he's been looking at from 45:38 Daniel Chapter 10, 11, all the way through. 45:40 And we can even go back 45:41 as far as Daniel Chapter 2 and 7 45:44 and all these prophetic, 45:45 wonderful chapters revealing this end time, 45:47 these end time scenes. 45:49 He's saying, how long is it going to be 45:51 until, you know, these, 45:53 until the fulfillment of these wonders? 45:54 But I just have to make this little nugget 45:56 'cause I did not know this until I read the study lesson. 45:59 And this is actually really cool. 46:01 And it was just a cool little nugget 46:02 that I felt like I wanted to put 46:03 in here as well. 46:05 And that is the word for river here. 46:06 Of course, he referenced over in Daniel Chapter 10 46:09 of being near the Tigris River. 46:11 And so technically the river 46:12 is in reference to the Tigris River. 46:14 But in the original language, 46:16 the Hebrew word for river in this particular verse 46:19 is the term y'or 46:21 which usually designates the Nile River. 46:24 And so I like what the lesson says here. 46:26 This reminds us of the Exodus and shows us that 46:29 just as the Lord redeems Israel from Egypt, 46:32 He will redeem us end time, people. 46:34 Amen. 46:35 And so that just, that made me excited 46:37 when I read that. 46:38 I thought, praise the Lord. 46:39 And so, but moving on to verse 7. 46:41 I want to get on, get on through this 46:42 'cause there's a lot to say. 46:43 "Then I heard the man clothed in linen 46:45 who was above the waters of the river 46:46 when he held up his right hand 46:48 and his left hand to heaven, 46:50 and swore by him, who lives forever, 46:53 that it shall be for a times, 46:56 a time, times and a half a time. 46:58 And when the power of the holy one 47:00 has been completely shattered, 47:02 all thing, all these things shall be finished." 47:06 And so, this, obviously this time, 47:08 times and half a time, 47:10 we saw this back in Daniel Chapter 7. 47:12 Of course, this is referencing that 47:13 three and a half prophetic time period. 47:16 The reference is Daniel 7:25. 47:20 And, of course, this references the time 47:21 in which that little horn ruled from 538 AD to 1798 AD. 47:27 So we see this bringing us all the way down 47:29 to the time of the end, 47:30 which Brother Kenney referenced 47:32 and made very clear in this lesson 47:34 and the previous lesson that the time of the end 47:36 is referencing everything post 1798, 47:38 when that little horn comes to an end, 47:40 when its time is brought down for a moment. 47:42 Now we are launch... We are now launching ourselves. 47:45 Christ is taking us into the time of the end. 47:48 Notice what verse 8 says, 47:49 "Although I heard I did not understand. 47:52 Then I said, 'My Lord, 47:54 what shall be the end of these things?' 47:57 " And then verse 9, he said, "Go your way, Daniel, 48:00 for the words are closed up 48:01 and sealed till the time of the end." 48:03 There it is. 48:05 So obviously Daniel recorded these things, 48:07 but there would be a stirring among God's people 48:10 in the Christian world. 48:12 God had a people who would be 48:13 studying this little sealed book as pastor mentioned. 48:16 And then it would be unsealed and then things would start 48:19 becoming understood from this book post 1798. 48:24 But notice what it goes on to say. 48:25 It says, "Many shall be purified, 48:28 made white and refined, 48:30 but the wicked shall do wickedly, 48:32 and none of the wicked shall understand, 48:34 but the wise shall understand." 48:36 And, Pastor, you brought that out so beautifully. 48:39 He took the words not even out of my mouth, 48:41 'cause I couldn't come up with them that good. 48:42 That was so powerful how you brought that out. 48:44 In fact, the Bible says the wise shall understand, 48:47 and I'll tell you why the wise, 48:48 furthermore, will understand because Revelation 12:17 48:51 says that God has a people 48:53 who keep the commandments of God 48:55 and have the testimony of Jesus. 48:57 And what is the testimony of Jesus? 48:58 Spirit of Prophecy. 48:59 Revelation 19:10, it is the Spirit of Prophecy. 49:02 God's people understands 49:04 because they have the Spirit of God in them. 49:06 They're led by the Spirit of God. 49:08 They have the gift of discernment 49:10 and understanding these deep prophetic 49:12 themes of scripture. 49:14 The wise shall understand for sure. 49:17 And I just also want to make note here very clearly 49:20 as we're going through here and we're looking at this, 49:22 you know, this time of end post 1798, 49:25 that these things would be revealed. 49:26 And you see a common theme 49:28 all the way through the Book of Daniel. 49:29 And I want to amplify this as loud as I possibly can, 49:32 because I wasn't always 49:33 a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. 49:35 I didn't always have the Spirit of Prophecy. 49:37 I was searching for it, didn't know what it was, 49:39 but I was still searching for truth nonetheless. 49:42 And growing up among my brothers and sisters 49:44 who are not of the Seventh-day Adventist faith, 49:47 we know God has good people, 49:48 wonderful people who are being led 49:49 by the Spirit of God 49:51 in all types of Christian denominations. 49:53 But I want to make this very clear. 49:54 We've got people who are being deceived 49:56 by the enemy because their attention 49:59 is focused over in the Middle East, 50:01 looking at what Islam is doing, 50:02 they've got their focus in on political agendas 50:05 and White House agendas and things like that, 50:08 which, again, we should be aware of these things. 50:10 We should make ourselves aware 50:11 of what's going on in the world behind us. 50:13 But make no mistake, my friends, 50:15 we have seen the common theme 50:17 from all the way through Daniel, 50:18 and it continues over into Revelation, 50:20 this central antagonistic figure 50:23 of both Daniel and Revelation 50:24 is the devil working through Rome. 50:26 Yeah. That's right. 50:28 You see Rome in Daniel Chapter 2, 50:29 you see Rome in Daniel Chapter 7. 50:30 Rome is in Daniel Chapter 8. 50:32 And it goes all the way through. 50:34 We see it in 10, 11, 12. 50:36 We see it all the way down in the Book of Revelation. 50:38 And so, not to, not to, you know, 50:40 not to make too much out of this, 50:42 but we want to be very clear of the fact that God, 50:45 He is revealing the truth to us, 50:46 that the devil has given his power, his seat, 50:49 and great authority to this Roman power. 50:51 That's right. 50:53 And so, while everyone is looking overseas 50:55 to the Middle East and while everyone's focused 50:56 on the White House and political agendas, 50:58 Bible prophecy is being fulfilled over in Rome. 51:01 And so, we need to be very clear 51:02 about that as well. 51:04 Notice verse 11, 51:05 "And from the time that the daily..." 51:07 And this is the special prophecy. 51:08 This is interesting to me. 51:10 "And from the time that the daily is taken away 51:13 and the abomination of desolation is set up, 51:15 there shall be 1,290 days." 51:19 And then I love this next one. 51:21 "Blessed is he who waits and comes to the 1,335 days." 51:27 Now, how do we make sense of this? 51:28 The key, again, as it was in Daniel 8, 51:31 as it is also in Daniel Chapter 10 and 11. 51:33 The key of understanding 51:35 this is to understand what the daily is. 51:37 If you can understand 51:38 what the daily is in the taking away of the daily 51:40 and the setting up of the abomination 51:42 of desolation, 51:43 then you know, again, dealing with the power of Rome, 51:46 this Antichrist figure. 51:48 We see that in the year and this is vitally important. 51:50 Don't miss this day. 51:51 In 5, by the time of 508 AD, we see something powerful here. 51:57 This is the prophetic period in which Clovis, 52:00 king of the of the Franks, 52:02 which, of course, would become France, 52:04 converted to the Catholic faith. 52:06 This important event paved the way for the union 52:09 between church and state, 52:11 which would, which held sway through the Middle Ages. 52:13 And what happened back then, 52:15 and you can do a historical research on this. 52:16 What ultimately happened is the power 52:19 and the authority within the church 52:20 was transitioned from God to a man-made priesthood, 52:24 in which the priesthood becomes a substitution 52:28 for the office as the kingly 52:29 and the priestly office of Jesus Christ. 52:32 And so, the abominations 52:33 that made desolate were set up in that, 52:35 during that time. 52:36 And so, what we see through this period 52:38 is from 508 all the way through, 52:41 there is an attack on God's sanctuary message. 52:44 There was an attack on the ministerial, 52:46 the daily ministerial work 52:49 that Christ is doing in our lives, 52:50 as the priest did in the courtyard 52:52 and in the Holy Place of the sanctuary. 52:54 Christ wants to do a daily work in our life, 52:57 but He can't do that 52:58 if we're placing men in His place. 53:00 That's right. That's right. 53:01 And so that's exactly what is being referenced here. 53:03 And so, if you count from 508 all the way down. 53:07 Again, What is the time period again? 53:09 It says here until 1,290 days, 53:12 if you count from 1000, from 508 AD, 1,290 years, 53:17 because the year day principle's applied. 53:19 That brings you to, and it shouldn't surprise us, 53:21 the time when that little horn 53:23 that made desolate is taken down, 53:25 So in 1798. 53:27 But I love this last part. 53:28 Oh, I'm going to bask in this for a moment. 53:30 Blessed is, this verse 12. 53:31 "Blessed is he who waits and comes to the 1,335 days." 53:36 Why does the Lord want us to wait? 53:38 Because while one by one by one, 53:40 these elements of God's holy sanctuary message 53:43 and the mediation of Christ, 53:45 the ministerial work that 53:46 He's doing in our lives, has been plucked out. 53:49 He has been raising up a people 53:51 through the Protestant Reformation all the way forward 53:54 until a specific time 53:55 to replace the beautiful message 53:57 of God's sanctuary, His plan of salvation. 54:00 And so, if you count from 508, which is when all this starts. 54:02 538. 54:04 No, no, no. 508. 54:06 If you count from 508 AD, 54:08 all the way down 1,335 days, 54:10 it brings you to 1843, 1844. 54:15 And what was happening during that time? 54:17 My friends, God has a people. A people. 54:19 That's right. 54:20 He has a people that is going to, 54:23 going to replace the message of the Most Holy Place, 54:27 that is going to vindicate His law 54:29 and His character before the world. 54:30 And I just want to make 54:32 my final appeal in the final few seconds 54:33 that I have here in my time. 54:35 Are we a part of those people? 54:37 Because all of these prophecies 54:38 that we've been studying in Daniel 54:40 is all culminating to this moment. 54:41 God has a people and He's calling out for us. 54:44 He's saying, come out of Babylon, 54:46 come out of Rome, come out of her, 54:47 My people that you be not partakers of her sins 54:50 because He wants to put His righteousness upon us, 54:54 that we can stand confident at His appearing. 54:56 Amen. 54:57 Praise the Lord, that was incredible. 55:01 We just have a couple of minutes left. 55:03 Let me give everybody an opportunity 55:04 to have a quick closing thought. 55:06 Reminds me of Jeremiah 30:5-7, 55:08 simply says, "Thus saith the Lord," 55:10 always like it starts out like that. 55:12 Now here, "We've heard a voice of trembling, 55:14 of fear, not of peace. 55:16 All faces are turned into paleness. 55:18 Alas, for the day is great. 55:20 So that none is like it." 55:22 It went, "Even the time of Jacob's trouble, 55:24 but" notice this "he shall be saved out of it." 55:28 Amen. Amen. 55:30 As we come to the end of the Book of Daniel, 55:31 we're reminded that Christ is coming again. 55:33 And I want to read this quote from Great Controversy 678. 55:36 It's one of my favorite quotes. 55:38 "The Great Controversy is ended. 55:40 Sin and sinners are no more. 55:43 The entire universe is clean. 55:46 One pulse of harmony and gladness beats 55:48 through the vast creation." 55:50 Yes. 55:51 "From the minutest atom to the greatest world. 55:53 All things animate and animate, in their unshadowed beauty 55:57 and perfect joy declare that God is love." 56:01 Amen. Amen. 56:02 As you know, I've been talking about 56:04 the mystery being revealed 56:05 and the light of God being turned on 56:07 and the glory of God, 56:08 filling the earth as it is through 56:10 the everlasting gospel 56:11 of the three angels of Revelation Chapter 14. 56:14 But so, what do we do? 56:16 What is the commission to us? 56:17 Here it is in Matthew Chapter 5:16. 56:20 "Once you have the light, 56:22 let your light so shine before men 56:25 that they may see your good works 56:27 and glorify," amazing, 56:29 light and glory in the same passage, 56:31 "they'll glorify your Father, which is in heaven." 56:34 Amen. Praise the Lord. 56:36 You know the verse I didn't get to read 56:38 which is the very last verse of this entire book, 56:40 and I love it here, he says. 56:42 "But go your way till the end, for you shall rest. 56:46 I love that. 56:47 "And world will rise to your inheritance 56:49 at the end of the days." 56:51 And I read that verse and I think of this. 56:55 Whether we're alive to see these things happen 56:58 or we go to sleep in the grave, 57:00 just as Daniel was given that promise, 57:02 if we put our faith in Jesus Christ, 57:06 we also will arise to a wonderful inheritance 57:09 of God's kingdom. 57:10 Amen. Amen. 57:11 And, you know, 57:13 I think one of my favorite scriptures 57:14 when I'm thinking of Michael standing up 57:16 in Hebrews 7:22. 57:18 It says that Jesus is the surety. 57:22 He is... 57:24 He's become the surety of a better covenant. 57:26 That word surety means gearing toward Jesus 57:30 is the guarantor of the cabinet. 57:33 He's the guarantor from God to us, 57:36 because 2 Corinthians 1:20 57:37 says all of God's promises are yes and amen in Him. 57:41 But He's the guarantor from us to the Lord, 57:45 because Philippians 2:13 says, 57:47 "He works in us too will and to do His good pleasure. 57:50 So, we have a great deliver. 57:54 It's been a great study. 57:56 We're so glad you stayed 57:57 with us through the entire study. 57:59 We hope you'll join us next week 58:01 as we begin our new study on how to interpret scripture. 58:06 Bye-bye. 58:08 Amen. Amen. |
