No? 01:28 No, you're in the right place. Another time. 01:29 Miss Yvonne, so thank you for being here today. 01:31 That's great. 01:32 We have a special program today. 01:34 We do, we have... 01:36 They're part of our family. 01:37 Yeah, family members. 01:39 We have Lanny Wolfe Trio with us. 01:41 So I can hear you, some of you going, 01:43 oh, great. 01:44 Praise the Lord. 01:45 I can hear the folks at home already, can't you? 01:47 Yes, indeed. 01:48 So somehow Mr. Lanny and Marietta and Lori 01:51 since that last program, 01:53 you all have just gotten into the hearts 01:54 of so many of the 3ABN viewers 01:56 and they just love what you do and how you do it. 01:59 And there, we have something in common 02:01 with all the folks that are watching at home. 02:03 And that's Jesus. Amen. 02:05 We can come from different backgrounds 02:07 where there's different churches, 02:08 different denominations. 02:10 Right. 02:11 But we have that thread that runs through everybody, 02:13 the most important one and all 02:14 and that's Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 02:16 Yes. 02:17 And what an honor it is to have 02:19 the Lanny Wolfe Trio here today. 02:21 And, of course, we have Mr. Lanny Wolfe 02:23 and it's normally you do women first, 02:27 but you say, in this case, you do the best for last. 02:30 So... Oh. 02:31 Just changing, all right, 02:32 don't get uptight at home, I am just kidding. 02:34 Again. 02:35 We love each other, don't get uptight. 02:37 Sometimes, Lori, 02:38 people will write me and they'll say, 02:39 "You shouldn't talk like that to your viewers." 02:41 Sometimes they don't know if I'm kidding and maybe 02:43 I've to watch my mouth a little bit. 02:44 Maybe you aren't. 02:45 I love Lanny. Of course, I do. 02:47 Sitting next to Lanny is Marietta. 02:49 Marietta, you're no stranger to 3ABN, 02:51 you've been coming the past few years. 02:53 I love 3ABN. 02:55 Oh, we love you. 02:56 I mean you're amazing woman of God 02:59 and we love you, respect you. 03:01 And every time you're here, I always feel, 03:03 I like to be around her 03:04 because I feel the presence of the Lord, don't you? 03:06 Yes, oh yeah. 03:07 You just can tell Marietta has a connection. 03:10 Oh, she does. She has that connection. 03:12 And I never can think of her 03:14 without thinking my own daughter 03:16 Melody who looks at her as another mom, 03:18 you know, because growing up Melody, 03:21 you were, the Lanny Wolfe Trio was on day and night, 03:25 Lori at our house. 03:26 I mean, any time they were on, 03:27 and of course, yours too. 03:30 We'll talk about that in a minute. 03:32 But Melody just loved your singing and loved you 03:34 once she got to meet you a few years ago. 03:36 And so thank you for being here 03:39 and for what you do for the cause of God. 03:41 And then we have Lori Carouthers 03:43 and, Lori, we're so glad you're here. 03:44 Thank you. And you hail all the way from? 03:47 Frisco, Texas. 03:48 Frisco, Texas. Yay! 03:50 Oh, Yvonne, now why are you yaying for? 03:52 Because I lived in Dallas. 03:54 Dallas. 03:55 Frisco is one of those suburbs. 03:57 You can't help but you love it. 03:58 I know, I know and I wanna 04:00 just shout out to my Dallas friends. 04:03 Frisco people. 04:04 We finally brought her to God's country. 04:07 Out here in the quiet 04:08 and the peaceful Southern Illinois. 04:10 Yes, that's true. 04:11 But any place is good where God is, right? 04:13 That's right. Absolutely. 04:14 That is right. 04:15 So, Lori, we want to get a little bit of your background 04:17 and last time you came and sang 04:20 you were kind of new with the Lanny Wolfe Trio, 04:22 but the story goes beyond that. 04:25 It's not like you're just, 04:26 you know, somebody 04:28 who happened along that Lanny said, 04:29 "Well, she's talented and great and we want a part of that." 04:32 You go back how many years if you don't mind saying, 04:36 you know, with the Lanny Wolfe Trio, 04:38 when's the first time you sang as the Lanny Wolfe Trio member? 04:42 Well, when I was 18, but I knew every song. 04:48 I knew every little whiff, 04:50 I knew because it stayed on my record stack. 04:54 You know, we always had the stacks 04:55 you know and so it always stayed on my record stack, 04:58 and I went 05:00 a little Bible College in Jackson, Mississippi 05:03 where Lanny was the dean of music. 05:06 Okay. 05:07 And I had no idea the Trio was making any changes. 05:12 Marietta had two little girls that just needed 05:15 their mama home every weekend. 05:17 And so I tried out for choral 05:21 which was the coveted you know, 05:23 the coveted position and I had a real bad cold that day. 05:27 And, so I didn't even go check the list 05:30 when it was put up. 05:32 And so somebody said, I made choral. 05:34 So I went to choral and then after choral was over, 05:37 Lanny said, I'd like to see you in my office 05:40 and I was like, he's made a mistake, 05:43 he's gonna tell me 05:45 I didn't make choral indeed because I was sick that day 05:48 and it's terrible, 05:50 and it was that day he asked me to sing in the Trio. 05:52 And so my mom, 05:54 of course, my mom was really thrilled about that, 05:56 you know, but I spent the next three years 06:01 going places I never dreamed or imagined. 06:03 And while I was on a plane, usually every weekend 06:05 and you know for a little 18-year old girl 06:08 from Wisconsin, that's pretty exciting. 06:11 Sure. 06:12 So it was a great time in my life. 06:15 Absolutely and, of course, 06:16 you had Dave Peterson for many years. 06:19 Maybe eight years. 06:20 Eight years and you kind of filled in also, 06:23 I guess you and he for a bit, 06:26 I don't know if you took turns or who sang first. 06:27 No, when Dave left, he was. 06:30 Even I got out at the same time. 06:32 Oh, okay. 06:34 Yes, Dave and Marietta actually at the same time. 06:36 Dave was working on his solo ministry. 06:38 Right. 06:39 So I had actually two slots. 06:41 And what a great man, 06:44 a great man of God and great friend 06:46 and now resting in Jesus awaiting 06:47 the Second Coming. 06:48 Sure. Amen. 06:50 I mean how amazing is that? 06:51 And so then you, 06:53 what brought you back or what circumstances, 06:56 you know, had you, are you available, 06:58 other words, you know Lanny may say, 07:00 I want you but you've got a family. 07:02 I get to see she and her husband marketing on, 07:05 is it YouTube or Facebook? 07:06 Well, we, yeah we did Facebook. 07:08 We just sit at the piano on Thursday nights 07:11 and we just sang you know, just. 07:12 I love it. Yeah. It's real organic. 07:15 It's just, it's just something we love to do but, 07:19 so Mark and I, my husband Mark and I, 07:21 we travel out a good bit but... 07:24 They both met at JCM. 07:26 Yes. Okay. 07:27 He's still taking note of it. 07:31 You know, Lanny and I are great friends 07:34 and we've been friends for a long time. 07:38 We just, and anytime we get to spend time together 07:41 or just talk or, 07:42 anytime Mark and I can spend time with him 07:44 and so we were just talking on the phone one day and I said, 07:47 you know, this was after Dave had passed away 07:50 and how much Dave had affected my life as a musician. 07:53 He very much affected my life. 07:55 He was such a worshiper and I just said, 07:59 you know, if you need, 08:00 if you need somebody to do some dates with you, 08:04 I will be glad to do it and Mark, 08:06 my husband was fine with that. 08:08 And so, and so you know what was unique was the weekend 08:12 that we came here in March, 08:14 I had never sang with Marietta. 08:16 Oh, wow. We'd never sung together. 08:17 I had never ever, ever sung with Marietta and, 08:20 but it was, it was as if we had always sung together 08:22 because I had always listened to the Trio. 08:25 And I knew her, all of her inflections. 08:28 I knew all of her, I knew everything. 08:31 So and, you know, the music that you listen to as a kid. 08:34 That's somehow you can like not sing one of those songs 08:37 and then bam, 08:38 it just comes up out of you, doesn't it? 08:40 Yes. 08:41 You know what I'm talking about, Yvonne. 08:42 Yeah, I do. I do. 08:44 That's so awesome. 08:45 It's so great to finally meet 08:47 and sing with someone that you listened 08:49 to for so long and then you meet her 08:52 and then you're singing with her. 08:54 Wow, what a blessing. 08:55 It's like the coolest thing for me 08:57 because when she goes into that 08:58 in the midst of his children, I'm like. 09:00 Oh, yeah. 09:02 It's like, you know, it's like I was back. 09:05 I'm listening to my records again. 09:06 And then I'm thinking, wait, I've got a command. 09:08 Yeah. 09:09 That's right. 09:11 Of course, I talk about Melody 09:13 when she was really young listening to you all, 09:15 but somebody had to buy the records. 09:18 Somebody had to pay for them. 09:20 Somebody loved the music also and that was me, 09:23 of course, and so did her mother. 09:24 And so we're so glad that you guys are here. 09:27 I know, you're saying, we want to hear a lot of music. 09:30 So we're going to quit talking for a bit 09:32 and what we're going to do, 09:33 you all gonna get up 09:34 and just give us some praise and worship, 09:37 and whatever the Lord leads you to do, 09:39 and we're gonna sit back and enjoy. 09:41 We want you at home to sit back and pray. 09:44 And while we're doing this while they're singing, 09:47 the Holy Spirit, you know, can do a number of things 09:49 at the same time, isn't that great? 19:14 The Lanny Wolfe songs, 19:16 they came out when I was a teenager 19:18 and I thought they were incredible, 19:20 and I would sing them from my heart. 19:23 And then when I became 18 years old, 19:26 I began to sing with the Trio 19:28 and it was an incredible experience. 19:32 And I sang them again. 19:35 But now, I'm singing them again 19:37 at this part of my journey. 19:40 And when I sing about loving Jesus, 19:47 it's a whole different thing 19:48 when you've done the journey and when you've crossed 19:52 the mountains and you've crossed the valleys, 19:54 and you've just had God as your only option. 20:00 And I love Him more than ever before. 20:06 I loved You then, I love You now 20:13 But much more now than then 20:17 For in then in-between I found 20:23 You became my dearest friend 20:28 And with each day, You bring my way 20:33 Joy I've never known before 20:38 And all along the way I would have to say 20:44 I lean upon You more and more 20:47 And more than ever before 20:54 Lord, I love You 20:59 More than ever before 21:04 Lord I need You 21:08 More than ever before 21:13 I've got to tell You 21:17 I love You now 21:21 More than ever before 21:28 I love You 21:51 it doesn't matter. 21:53 Don't remember who the guy was who received the award 21:56 and don't remember all the folks he was thanking 21:59 but he had to thank all the industry people, 22:01 had to thank all of his friends and loved ones. 22:04 He finally worked his way around to saying 22:06 and I want to especially thank my children 22:08 but most of all, 22:10 I want to thank my wife 22:13 who captured my heart 38 years ago. 22:16 I turned off the TV at that moment 22:19 and got out a piece of paper and wrote. 22:25 Jesus, You've captured my heart 22:30 Here am I Surrendered completely son Rob and I 29:01 co-wrote this chorus that we're going to sing. 29:04 It simply says, where I longed to be. 29:08 And we like to take our heart different places, 29:11 but wherever Jesus is, is where I longed to be. 29:14 It simply goes like this. 29:17 In Your presence, Lord 29:22 That's where I long to be 29:27 In Your presence, 29:30 Lord 29:34 You set my spirit free 29:40 I feel so close my burdens get me down 31:05 And I wonder if I'll make it 31:08 through the day 31:12 I just speak the name of Jesus 31:15 And He turns everything around 31:20 And heaven comes to earth 31:23 And makes a way 31:28 I feel heaven in this place 31:36 I feel heaven all around me 31:41 In this place 31:45 I feel heaven in this place 31:52 I feel heaven all around me 31:56 In this place 32:01 There's forgiveness for life's failures 32:05 If you ask you can receive 32:09 For in His presence 32:10 Fear and doubt, all disappear 32:16 It matters not just what the need is 32:20 If you ask, you will receive 32:25 So reach out and touch the Lord 32:30 For He is here 32:35 He's here. 32:38 He's there. 32:40 We are taking His message 32:43 to whoever will choose to watch or listen 32:49 to this telecast today. 32:52 But you have to be the one who asked Him to do it. 32:57 Whatever you need, it doesn't matter 32:59 if it's forgiveness, 33:00 you feel like you can't be forgiven, 33:02 you've been too bad. 33:03 He can forgive the worst of sinners. 33:07 It doesn't matter what the need is, 33:09 but if you just ask, ask and you shall receive. 33:13 And so, while we're singing this again, 33:15 I'd like for you right there in your room, 33:18 in your home, in your car, wherever you are, 33:21 reach out and say, Lord, I need you. 33:24 I don't know anybody who doesn't need Him. 33:26 We need, we all need something 33:28 because we can't live without Him, 33:30 that's what we've been singing about 33:32 all these songs of love to Jesus 33:34 and how much He loves us, 33:36 and so this is where you reach out. 33:40 You say, Jesus, I need healing. 33:43 I need deliverance. 33:45 I need comfort. 33:47 I need someone to talk to. 33:49 He'll be everything you need. 33:52 So I feel the healing in this place 33:58 I feel healing in this place 34:02 I feel healing all around me 34:07 In this place 34:11 Oh, I feel Jesus in this place 34:15 Jesus is with us I feel Jesus in this place 34:20 I feel Jesus all around us 34:25 in this place 34:29 Surely the presence of the Lord 34:35 Is in this place 34:38 I can feel His mighty power 34:42 And His grace 34:47 I can hear the brush of been reading in the Bible about 39:09 as long as we have been reading the Bible 39:11 and if you've read it through, 39:12 you know that things happen at the end 39:15 that we are hopeful for, 39:17 we're looking forward to. 39:19 But there's going to be a part of this world 39:22 that will not be enjoying this time 39:24 because they're fearful. 39:27 They are afraid, they don't know. 39:29 They're not used to being so unsteady 39:32 and being bombarded with negative things. 39:35 They don't know what to believe. 39:38 I just want to encourage you today, 39:40 get into the Word of God, read His Word, 39:44 and you will get strength for any kind of day that comes. 39:47 There are gonna be dark days. 39:49 There will be trials. 39:50 Even the children of God, we don't have all perfect days, 39:54 but we have Jesus and He's all perfect 39:57 and He makes the things that look rough 40:00 just smooth out like He did on that stormy sea, 40:05 when he said peace be still. 40:07 He's saying, peace be still. 40:09 And there's a song that we did sing, 40:11 it says, Lord, you know I need a brand new touch. 40:15 I feel that so many times, even though I know Him, 40:18 I get to rejoice in all these songs 40:20 of about how much He loved me and I know 40:23 all these wonderful things about the Lord, 40:25 but if you don't know this, 40:26 if it sounds foreign, what are they talking about? 40:29 Joy and peace, how can they just sit by? 40:33 We're not sitting by, we're getting ready. 40:36 Lord is coming soon. 40:39 And as I was thinking about the singing today, 40:42 I was thinking about this beautiful sets 40:44 that they have here at 3ABN 40:47 and you need to get a set setup in your life, 40:52 where you're getting ready 40:54 for a change in the performance. 40:57 We're not, we're not just performing, 41:00 we're living real life, but you can live real life 41:03 and have joy and peace abundantly. 41:07 And so, start setting your home 41:10 in your heart up for visit from the King of kings. 41:15 Get ready for peacefulness. 41:17 Have beautiful paintings hanging around 41:22 and listen to the words of songs like these 41:25 and start picking up your positivity in your heart. 41:31 Because we're getting ready to rejoice 41:33 forever and forever after Jesus comes. 41:36 So I love to say... 41:38 Lord, You know I need a brand new touch 41:45 My strength from yesterday 41:47 Is gone 41:52 But if You'll give me, Lord, another touch 41:59 I'll have the strength to carry on 42:06 Lord, You know how weak I really am 42:13 Even better than myself 42:20 But with Your help I know I really can 42:27 Make it through the darkest night 42:30 Ev'rything's gonna be all right 42:38 Lord, You know 42:40 I need a brand new touch 42:43 Brand new touch 42:45 My strength from yesterday 42:47 Is gone 42:52 But if You'll give me, Lord, another touch 42:59 I'll have the strength to carry on 43:03 If You'll touch me, Lord 43:06 I'll have the strength to carry on 43:10 Won't You touch me, Lord 43:13 Give me the strength to carry on 43:24 Well, if I knew I had to have surgery 43:28 that was life threatening 43:32 and if I could afford it, 43:33 I'd buy the best surgeon in the world. 43:37 I had to go to China or Japan, or wherever I had to go, 43:41 I'd want the best hands working on this heart. 43:46 I live in Houston. 43:48 We have a lot of great doctors in Houston, 43:50 a lot of great hospitals in Houston. 43:52 And so if I ever needed that kind of surgery, 43:55 I would Google, 43:57 I want the best heart surgeon in the world. 44:02 Now maybe I couldn't afford it. 44:03 Maybe my hospitalization plan couldn't afford it. 44:07 So God gave me a song which simply says, 44:09 we believe in prayer, the power of prayer, 44:12 that prayer changes things. 44:15 So prayer can do something 44:17 that not even the best surgeon sometimes can do 44:21 because we serve a miracle working God. 44:24 And so God can give you a new heart. 44:28 So this song simply says, You're in our prayers 44:30 because God has told us that there's power in prayer. 44:35 And so when you're in need, it's so comforting to know 44:39 that the body of Christ 44:41 is going to hold you in their prayers, 44:43 but much better than being in their prayers, 44:46 you're in God's hands. 44:49 You're in the hands that formed the galaxies, 44:53 and the universe, and the world. 44:55 You're in the hands that took clay and made you. 44:58 You're in those hands. 45:01 So this song simply says you're in our prayers, 45:03 but best of all, 45:06 best of all, 45:08 you're in God's hands. 45:17 You're in a place 45:20 You've never found yourself before 45:25 And you're not sure 45:29 Just what tomorrow has in store 45:34 But where two or three are gathered 45:37 God has promised to be there 45:42 So now with faith believing 45:46 We lift your name in prayer 45:51 You're in our prayers 45:58 We touch the throne of grace for You 46:03 Your Father cares 46:08 He's promised He would see you through 46:12 You can be sure the great I am 46:17 Will make a way, just trust His plan 46:22 You're in our prayers, 46:24 But best of all, you're in God's hands 46:32 Sometimes you feel your falling tears 46:39 Are cried in vain 46:41 But God counts them all 46:46 And with compassion, He feels your pain 46:52 Acquainted with grief and sorrow 46:55 The Lord knows how much you can bear 47:00 He's laid you on our heart so now 47:04 We lift you up in prayer 47:09 You're in our prayers 47:16 We've touched the throne of grace for you 47:21 Your Father cares 47:27 He's promised he would see you through 47:31 You can be sure the great I am will make a way 47:39 Just trust His plan 47:41 You're in our prayers 47:44 But best of all, you're in God's hands. 47:52 And today you may find yourself in a situation 47:55 that you've never found yourself before. 47:58 You may feel like your back is up against the wall, 48:01 you may be destitute. 48:03 Maybe the doctors have given you a report 48:05 that simply says, "We're sorry. 48:08 We can only do what we can do. 48:10 And we can only promise you this much more time." 48:15 Maybe you have a situation in your family, 48:18 maybe relationships are broken. 48:20 And you don't know what to do. 48:22 Maybe you've got a son or daughter, 48:23 a teenager that has lost their way 48:26 and you've prayed and you prayed, 48:28 and you just wonder if it's ever gonna happen. 48:31 My father, he was an alcoholic, 48:33 and we prayed for him so many years, 48:36 and we just wonder God, would it ever happen? 48:39 God, will my father ever be saved? 48:41 And we wondered if all the tears were in vain. 48:44 But you know, after 16 years, 48:47 God brought my father down to an altar, 48:50 and my father got saved. 48:51 Hallelujah. 48:53 I'm telling you, we serve a powerful God, 48:56 we serve a mighty God and so today, 48:58 whatever you are facing, however dire the situation is, 49:03 I'm here to tell you 49:05 that God is bigger than your situation 49:08 and God is more powerful 49:10 than whatever is working against you, 49:13 or your family, or your situation. 49:16 So, Marietta, I want you to sing 49:17 that verse one more time, 49:18 and while she sings this, 49:20 I'd like for you to just reach out. 49:22 Maybe you want to raise your hand, 49:24 if you can towards the heavens. 49:27 Maybe you want to, like, just join us 49:30 and the Bible says, "Where two or three are gathered, 49:33 you could ask anything." 49:35 And so today, we're going to ask 49:36 that God is going to reach out 49:38 through the medium of television 49:41 and this 3ABN ministry, 49:43 and touch you and change your situation 49:45 whatever it is. 49:47 God is powerful and God wants to change it all. 49:50 Amen. 53:54 What we want to do, we want to have a prayer 53:56 because at the beginning of the program 53:58 we ask people to really, 54:00 we felt like God wants to do something in all of our lives. 54:02 Yes, amen. 54:03 And I know some of you watching didn't intend to, 54:06 but you got caught up in it. 54:07 That's the Holy Spirit. 54:08 And so I'm going to ask Yvonne to say a special prayer 54:10 for each of our viewers, would you? 54:12 Sure. 54:14 Father, we just thank You so very much 54:16 that You've allowed us to come together today 54:19 to hear this beautiful music and to worship You, 54:23 for You're so worthy of worship. 54:25 Yes 54:26 And there are people watching who might not know You. 54:30 But Lord, to know You is to love You. 54:32 You're so good.
