00:08 Mending broken people 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:19 Removing pain 00:24 Lord, let my words 00:30 Heal a heart that hurts 00:35 I want to spend my life 00:40 Mending broken people 00:46 I want to spend my life 00:51 Mending broken people 01:09 Hello, and welcome to 3ABN Today Family Worship. 01:12 Happy Sabbath 01:14 and what a great time to spend together 01:16 in the Word of God. 01:17 So thank you for joining us as you do 01:19 and thank you for your love and your prayers 01:20 and financial support of 3ABN 01:23 as we endeavor to take this great gospel 01:25 of the kingdom into all the world, 01:27 but I'm excited today talking about 3ABN Family Worship. 01:30 Yvonne, we have family with us today. 01:33 We do. We have our family. 01:34 Not that they need an introduction, 01:36 but maybe we should. 01:38 Yes. 01:39 You want me to do it. You do it. 01:40 Okay. 01:42 Well, right here to my right is our son Jason Bradley. 01:44 Hey, Jay. Hey, Pop. 01:47 It's good to be here. 01:48 And then we have our brother and sister or sister-in-law, 01:53 but she's my sister. 01:54 Kenny Shelton, Pastor Kenny Shelton 01:56 and Chris Shelton. 01:58 Hello. 01:59 And they're Behold the Lamb Ministries. 02:00 Yeah. 02:02 And we did this a few weeks ago only Jay, 02:03 you were hosting, on a totally different 02:06 so you're not watching a rerun here of Family Worship, 02:09 but we just did another and we switched up. 02:12 So your mom is actually hosting today 02:14 and I'm co-hosting with her. 02:16 And she did a tremendous study. 02:18 Let me tell you something, 02:19 if you ask Yvonne to do something, 02:22 it's gonna be a book. 02:24 But me, we study Psalms, 02:25 we're gonna be in Psalms 91 today, 02:27 I like to go over it and read it a little bit 02:29 and say okay, and study. 02:31 She's gonna read it looks like a book note 02:34 that she's gonna have. 02:36 I have no idea how we're gonna get through all this today. 02:39 My experience tells me we probably won't, 02:43 but with the Lord's blessings 02:44 and anointing of the Holy Spirit, 02:45 we'll get through just as much as we need to. 02:48 So based on that, I'm gonna ask, Jason, 02:50 if you would say a word of prayer 02:52 for each of us here 02:53 and for each of our viewers and listeners. 02:55 Absolutely. 02:56 Dear, Heavenly Father, we thank You 02:58 for this wonderful time 02:59 that we have to be able to worship You together here 03:04 and the viewers that are watching 03:07 and the listeners that are listening, 03:08 Lord, allow this program to be a blessing to them, 03:12 and help them to be encouraged to study the Word of God. 03:17 In Jesus' name we pray. 03:18 Amen. Amen. 03:20 Thank you. 03:21 It is such a privilege to be able to open the Word of God 03:26 and to find the things that are so applicable, 03:30 applicable and relevant to us now. 03:34 You know, we open the Word 03:36 and the Holy Spirit just sends us what we need. 03:40 And so today our study is basically entitled, 03:44 Trusting In the Darkness. 03:46 Trusting In the Darkness 03:48 because so much around us is dark, 03:51 and we, you know, we're hit with the COVID virus 03:56 and unemployment and just all kinds of things 03:59 that are going on, 04:00 but this chapter gives us such assurance. 04:05 And so we're gonna go through it 04:06 and it's kind of like, what Danny was saying. 04:09 And if we don't get through the whole chapter, that's okay. 04:14 We're gonna go as far as we might 04:16 even just do the first two verses 04:18 because there's so much meat in them, 04:20 as you'll see, but that's okay. 04:23 Wherever the Holy Spirit takes us, 04:25 that's where we wanna go. 04:26 Amen. Absolutely. 04:27 So let's look at Psalm 91. 04:31 I'm gonna say that I think 04:32 this is the first family worship 04:34 where you haven't made me sing a song. 04:36 You know what, you know, I have mention to Danny, 04:39 I said, "Should we sing a song?" 04:41 And he's like, "No." Look, Jay. 04:43 We know... 04:46 If you ever... 04:47 I tell you guys a little secret don't tell him, right. 04:50 When it's time to sing, take a look at Jason. 04:53 He's just kind of moving his mouth, 04:54 but minimally because he will not sing. 04:59 Okay. I'm just saying. 05:00 All right, so... 05:01 Around his mother, 05:03 he might be great in the shower, 05:04 the rest of us haven't heard it. 05:06 At your home, but we don't know. 05:08 That's when I sing best when I'm alone. 05:12 You know, the beautiful thing 05:13 is we have such talent at the table. 05:15 It doesn't matter if we can sing or not. 05:20 Amen. We just sing in our hearts. 05:21 We praying song in our hearts. 05:24 So let's look at Psalm 91:1-2. 05:28 Pastor Kenny, would you read that for us? 05:30 Says, "He that dwelleth 05:32 in the secret place of the Most High 05:34 shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 05:37 I will say of the Lord." 05:39 I love that. 05:40 "I will say of the Lord, 05:42 He is my refuge and my fortress, 05:43 my God, in Him will I trust." 05:46 Yes, thank you. Amen. 05:48 Do we know who wrote this? 05:50 David. 05:52 Did David write this? 05:53 Pretty sure because it doesn't say 05:55 like a lot of times it will say 05:56 Psalm of Asaph or somebody else, 05:59 but it doesn't. 06:01 So we're assuming David. It seems to be David, right? 06:03 Yeah, it seems to be David. Okay. 06:05 What jumps out at you? 06:08 Like, when I first read this, 06:10 the first thing that jumped out at me 06:11 is what or where is the secret place? 06:15 'Cause if we, how are we gonna abide there? 06:19 Abide under the shadow of the Almighty 06:21 if we don't know what or where it is. 06:23 So what do you guys think it is? 06:27 I think it's the presence of the Lord 06:28 being in the presence of the Lord. 06:31 I think that's the secret place. 06:33 Okay. 06:34 This morning, I was thinking, 06:36 you know, when a storm is coming, 06:37 sometimes it looks so beautiful. 06:40 The clouds may have 06:41 a lot of orange colors or whatever 06:43 and it gets closer and closer and it gets dark and ominous, 06:47 and then pretty soon, 06:48 especially if you live in town, you may hear sirens go off. 06:52 You know, so what looked amazing, 06:54 all of a sudden their sirens going off 06:56 and that means we need to get to a safe place. 07:00 And it becomes very dark. 07:02 You see, and a lot of these things we know 07:05 because we've studied 07:06 that the enemy as God as the people on this earth 07:09 are becoming more and more wicked, 07:10 God is releasing it the winds that He's holding back, 07:15 the winds of strife, He's loosening that band 07:18 and so He's allowing these things to take place. 07:20 The enemy wants them to take place 07:23 to bring us to such discouragement and depression 07:26 that we just collapse, 07:28 but God is saying, "Hey, there is a secret place. 07:32 There is a hiding place. 07:34 There is a safe place." 07:36 You know, one of our kids 07:37 they have a safe place in their home 07:39 all out of concrete. 07:41 My brother did that too, 07:42 but in this case, God is saying, 07:45 "I'm here for you no matter how dark it is, 07:47 no matter what winds of strife are blowing, come to Me. 07:51 I'm your safe place." 07:53 So as everybody else is falling apart, 07:55 if we dwell with the Most High 07:58 because all of these promises are unconditioned. 08:01 They're all unconditioned. 08:03 If we dwell with God in prayer, 08:06 and the interesting thing too is, I got to be quite, 08:09 I don't wanna talk to much, 08:10 but the interesting thing is I was thinking about this 08:13 is, you know, when we're in that secret place, 08:16 and the winds are blowing, 08:17 we're not looking at our phones, 08:19 we're not watching the TV, we're not listening. 08:22 You know, God's got our full attention. 08:25 And that's what He's really wanting each and every day, 08:28 no matter what's happening in our lives, 08:30 no matter how good how bad it is. 08:32 He wants our full attention. 08:34 And that's what this is talking about. 08:36 We need to dwell in Him in that secret place, 08:40 moment by moment, day by day. 08:43 We tell Him things that we would tell no one else. 08:46 He understands, 08:48 you know, He empathizes and He directs 08:50 and He guides... 08:52 Anyway I can go on and on, but I just wanna open it up. 08:56 Thank you. 08:57 I may jump back in here in a little bit. 08:59 Yeah. 09:00 Yvonne, do you see any comparison to this 09:03 when it says Most High, 09:04 if you're looking at the sanctuary? 09:06 Oh, yes. 09:08 Oh, yes. 09:09 That secret place, that most holy place. 09:13 Yes. Oh, yeah. 09:14 And I think the... 09:15 There's a lot of times we wanna dwell on the outside. 09:17 Yes. You know, the outside. 09:19 Yes. 09:20 We really don't stay in the most holy place 09:25 where we're depend on our own, you know, independence 09:29 and we get in trouble and we're like, "Oh, God, 09:31 we wanna be right under Your wings. 09:33 We wanna be right there with You." 09:35 So it's like that, 09:37 it's kind of like into the sanctuary. 09:39 It is. 09:41 It is which is a great, a great analogy, 09:43 a great metaphor here. 09:45 Psalm 31:20. 09:48 Jay, would you read that for us? 09:49 Sure. Psalm 31:20. 09:51 And this is... 09:53 You've said that the secret place 09:55 is the presence of God. 09:57 Would you read that? 09:58 "You shall hide them 09:59 in the secret place of Your presence 10:02 from the plots of man, 10:03 You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion 10:07 from the strife of tongues." 10:08 Amen. 10:09 And that word pavilion means shelter. 10:13 So we are sheltered in that most holy place. 10:17 And that, to me was such a good point. 10:20 Danny, when you said, you know, we might not dwell in there. 10:25 He wants us to dwell there. 10:27 He wants us to stay in His presence. 10:29 There's a secret place of the Most High. 10:31 Yes. Yes. Yes. 10:33 To abide there that we should abide. 10:35 Now there's something, I loved it, dwelleth, 10:37 He that dwelleth 10:38 and another thing came into my mind, 10:41 he that sets down. 10:44 See because we're always up scurrying about 10:46 that He that sets down, notice, 10:48 in the secret place of the Most High. 10:50 He who feels at home. 10:54 He who feels at home with God when we're praying. 10:56 See, there's some people say, I'm uncomfortable when I pray. 11:00 You know, I'm uncomfortable in the presence of God 11:02 maybe because we don't spend enough time with God in prayer. 11:05 We don't feel like it's our home. 11:07 When it's our home, you know, 11:08 those people's places that we go to family home 11:11 you feel like it's your home, 11:12 you feel like you can go to the icebox if you want to, 11:14 you get what you want. 11:15 You feel comfortable there 11:17 because you're used to going there. 11:19 There's a lot of people are not comfy they're not, 11:21 they don't wanna kick their shoes off as it were. 11:23 Here we need to sit down 11:25 in the secret place of the Most High, 11:26 feel at home with God. 11:28 And then notice, when you feel at home with God, 11:31 you love, you want, 11:33 you desire some time to spend alone with Him 11:37 because, you know, 11:39 He's the answer to all life's dilemmas. 11:42 Think about that. 11:44 And when it says dwell when it talks about abide 11:47 that just got my attention, we abide. 11:49 How do I abide in Him? 11:51 Abiding is my admittance, my admittance to heaven. 11:55 He's admitting me into His presence. 11:59 And when He admits you into His presence 12:02 as we look at this automatically, 12:06 it means His protection. 12:08 We're coming into His home. 12:09 We're coming into His presence. 12:10 He takes us in and He guides 12:13 and He guards us and He protects us. 12:15 I thought how wonderful. 12:16 Be Why? 12:18 Because it's our residence. 12:19 Yes, come on. 12:20 It's our home. It's our residence. 12:23 So we should feel at home, should we not? 12:25 And so if you don't feel at home, bless your hearts. 12:27 And if I don't feel at home, I need to spend more time there 12:30 where I get the feeling like it's my home 12:33 and I abide there and He's my protector. 12:36 And there's a lot more to be said about. 12:38 I think about that. 12:39 How would you feel at home if you were afraid? 12:44 If you didn't have a protector, 12:45 the husband feels like He's a protector of the wife 12:48 and the children and everybody's there, 12:50 that the wife should be able to feel like she's protected 12:53 that she's safe when she's at home. 12:55 And when we're at home, we are safe. 12:58 And that's been in the presence, 13:00 dwelling in the presence of God. 13:01 That is so true. 13:03 As we're talking about this today. 13:05 I'm not sure I didn't ask you, 13:06 but did we come up with Psalms 91? 13:11 Maybe because of the COVID. 13:12 I don't wanna say just COVID-19, 13:14 but right now so many people in the world are so feel like 13:20 we don't is that little book we wrote, you know, 13:23 After COVID-19, What Next? 13:25 As we don't know where we're going. 13:26 We don't know how to feel safe. 13:28 We don't know how to feel secure. 13:30 We don't know where to dwell to keep away. 13:33 So to me, this really fits in with where we are today. 13:39 Not only here in America, but around the world. 13:42 And so, for me, I'm hoping that each and every one of us, 13:46 as we really study into this, 13:48 we will compare this where am I today? 13:52 And where's my heart? 13:54 When I see that all that's happening in the world, 13:56 talk about a dark place 13:58 and not knowing what's gonna happen, 14:00 but as Christians, 14:01 we know when we have the comfort 14:04 that we can go to the Word of God 14:05 and find out He's not forgotten us 14:08 nor forsaken us. 14:09 That He's willing to shelter us 14:12 if we're willing to come under the shelter. 14:14 That's good. Amen. 14:16 I love what you drew out Uncle Kenny about, 14:18 you know, feeling comfortable and safe in your own home. 14:21 It's interesting in Psalm 31:20 14:27 where it says, "You shall hide them 14:29 in the secret place of Your presence." 14:31 You know, when we mess up, 14:33 I'm gonna look at a power couple. 14:35 And we're gonna go back to Genesis 14:37 and look at Adam and Eve. 14:40 You know, it's one thing to be hid 14:42 in the presence of God, 14:43 and then it's another thing 14:44 to hide from the presence of God 14:46 and so when we're looking 14:48 in Genesis 3:7. 14:54 Actually, let's, let's go to verse 6. 14:56 "So when the woman saw 14:58 that the tree was good for food, 14:59 that it was pleasant to the eyes, 15:01 and a tree desirable to make one wise, 15:03 she took up its fruit and ate. 15:05 She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 15:08 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, 15:10 and they knew that they were naked, 15:12 and they sewed fig leaves together 15:14 and made themselves coverings." 15:16 That sounds very uncomfortable. 15:19 "And they heard the sound of the Lord God 15:22 walking in the garden in the cool of the day, 15:24 and Adam and his wife hid themselves 15:26 from the presence of the Lord God 15:30 among the trees of the garden." 15:32 So it's interesting, you know, 15:34 as we're talking about dwelling in the secret place 15:38 hiding in the secret place in the presence of God. 15:42 You know, maybe those people that are feeling uncomfortable, 15:47 this is a wake-up call to give their hearts to Lord. 15:51 Well, you just gave a good analogy 15:54 of both classes of people. 15:56 There's two classes, 15:57 there will be two classes at the very end. 16:00 You know, and part of the question is, 16:02 where is the secret place? 16:04 Matthew 6:6-7. 16:08 It says, "But thou, when thou prayest, 16:10 enter into thy closet, 16:14 and when thou hast shut the door," 16:16 what are you shutting the door to? 16:18 The world. The world. 16:20 The outside world, the interruptions. 16:22 You know, it can be any place, anytime, 16:26 anywhere that we can be hid in Him. 16:30 You know, I was thinking 16:31 as you guys were talking about Christ, 16:33 when they wanted to kill Him and throw Him off the cliff. 16:37 And He turned around, 16:39 He walked right through the crowd. 16:40 They did not see Him. 16:41 Was that His power 16:43 or was He hid in His Father's presence, 16:48 walking right in the crowd? 16:50 And so we can find that same peace. 16:53 I talked about the storm... 16:55 You know, when we were growing up, 16:57 this was not considered Tornado Alley, 17:00 but we've seen inland hurricanes, 17:02 we've seen tremendous floods, 17:04 we've seen a lot of damage and destruction 17:07 then lives lost with tornadoes. 17:09 And, you know, for the longest time, 17:11 I was very fearful, with that came on, 17:13 I was down in the basement, 17:15 I had my stuff ready, where am I gonna hide? 17:18 You know, da da da. 17:19 Now, there's many times that I give it to the Lord 17:22 and He gives me a peace. 17:24 And I can sleep through those storms. 17:27 You know, as I was studying this, 17:31 and I know this was probably more applicable 17:33 as we get a little further down into Psalms 91, 17:36 but I truly believe that there is nothing 17:40 that can happen to God's people unless He allows it, 17:44 and He trusts us with those experiences. 17:47 And I know if we get that, 17:48 I'll probably talk more about that. 17:49 All right. Good. 17:51 That what you just said, Chris, 17:53 reminded me of when I was living in Marion 17:58 and there was this tornado that was coming through. 18:02 And my apartment was like shaking. 18:05 And the windows were kind of shaking. 18:08 And I remember calling Danny and telling him about it, 18:13 and it hadn't hit was Frankfort. 18:16 And so he prayed with me. 18:18 And I felt peace about it, and then later, of course, 18:23 we found out... 18:25 Tell them what happened. 18:26 He's better at telling stories. 18:27 It's four, number four end up hitting Harrisburg, 18:31 right over Marion, 18:32 just east of Marion came down 18:35 and did tremendous amount of destruction betweens Marion. 18:38 She lived on the east side of Marion. 18:40 So literally it was 'cause I said to her, 18:42 she said, "My whole place is shaken." 18:43 I said, "Oh, it's alright. 18:45 It's just Southern Illinois thunderstorm, 18:47 you're fine." 18:49 West Frankfort here. 18:50 We didn't it was south of us a little bit. 18:52 And so I said, "No, you're fine. 18:54 So I talked her through it." 18:55 I said, "Oh, don't worry about it." 18:57 And then we see the next day, 18:58 tremendous destruction and few deaths. 19:01 Yes, just beyond where she was. 19:04 And now it's a serious thing, 19:07 but I wanted to bring up just for a little bit, 19:10 if I could, that when we're talking, 19:13 we're not always talking about physically 19:16 because when we say, 19:18 we're sheltered in all of these things, 19:21 and we're gonna talk more about that, 19:23 and, you know, thousands should fall 19:24 on my right, 10,000 on left and all of this, 19:27 that doesn't mean that you're not gonna die 19:30 or bad things can't happen to you, 19:32 but what it does mean is that you are God, 19:35 you are created by God. 19:37 There's nothing that Satan can rob you of everything, 19:40 but he can't, everything except your soul. 19:44 Your soul belongs to God. 19:46 And so only by choice. 19:48 It's a choice, do I wanna be under the wings of God? 19:53 Do I wanna be sheltered? 19:54 Do I wanna be in the Most High, 19:57 in the shadow of the Most High, do I wanna be there? 20:00 Or do I wanna put myself outside 20:03 where I can lose my eternity? 20:05 But I do believe that God protects many of us 20:09 so many times, 20:11 it will take an eternity to say, yes, 20:13 I not only sheltered you, 20:15 you made the right choices about your soul. 20:18 So eternity is yours, 20:20 that you have no idea 20:21 how many times a devil tried to kill you. 20:23 You didn't even know it. 20:25 It doesn't have to be somebody woke up with the gun 20:27 to shoot you and the gun doesn't fire, 20:29 but every day, 20:30 the day the devil hates every one of us. 20:33 And so we see the results of that, 20:35 but the Lord says, 20:36 "I'm sheltering you when you're here. 20:39 I've got you." 20:40 And so there are many, many times, 20:41 but it also says, 20:43 you know, the Bible says precious 20:45 in the sight of the Lord are the death of His saints. 20:48 So I'm back to the COVID thing on this, 20:51 your cousin and others that we know died from this. 20:54 People say, "Well, where's God?" 20:56 I thought Psalms 91, you're all quoting that, 20:58 you know, and so if that so how come, 21:02 you know, Greg died how come, 21:03 you know, these other people die. 21:05 And so when we look at it, 21:07 we have to look at it from a spiritual 21:09 as well as the physical. 21:11 I know people that are really up in age right now 21:14 that I believe God has blessed them 21:16 because they're still so involved 21:18 in the work of this earth, 21:21 supporting financially and prayerfully 21:23 and doing so much. 21:25 God had said, Satan it's just not time 21:27 I'm not gonna let you, 21:28 but then when they're laid to rest, 21:30 it is just a short rest so we can know and trust 21:34 that our lives are in God's hands. 21:36 So we He that dwelleth 21:37 in the secret place of the Most High 21:39 that when we get as close to God as we can, 21:42 and as frail human agents, we have to stay a distance, 21:45 of course, you know, sin can't stand up, 21:48 but to know that our lives in God's hands is no accident. 21:51 So you can trust whatever happens, 21:54 it's not too much for you. 21:56 So even when it comes time to lay down and sleep, 22:00 should that happen before the Lord comes, 22:02 we can do it with great peace. 22:03 We're still sheltered in the arms of God, 22:06 we're still sheltered under His wings. 22:08 And so to me, that's such a great comfort to know 22:11 that devil cannot rob you of your salvation. 22:14 He cannot rob you, your soul belongs to God. 22:18 Only you can be lost because you choose to be. 22:22 Jesus died that not any should perish, 22:24 but all should have everlasting life. 22:27 So if we're lost, 22:28 we don't have to worry about it, 22:30 no matter what comes along comes and goes. 22:32 We're safe in the arms of God. 22:34 Yeah. Amen. 22:37 Good. 22:38 Psalm 32:7 says, "You are my hiding place. 22:44 You shall preserve me from trouble. 22:46 You shall surround me with songs of deliverance." 22:49 So He is our hiding place. 22:52 And just as you said, 22:54 we know that bad things happen to good people. 22:57 That's in Numbers 2 that you will, 23:01 but it's not just... 23:06 We have to remember that no matter what happens, 23:11 God's got it under control. 23:14 There's nothing that He hasn't metered out already. 23:18 And He knows that we can handle it. 23:21 And so if we go to sleep, 23:24 then we're just resting till He comes 23:26 and our salvation is secure. 23:30 If we are, you know, 23:32 spared from any of these turbulent issues, 23:37 praise the Lord for that too. 23:38 And if we succumb to it, you know, 23:41 we know that He's got us no matter what. 23:43 And that's the assurance that we have. 23:45 He is our hiding place. 23:47 We have to just hold on to Him. 23:50 I love what you said, brother, about dwelling is sitting. 23:54 You know, when you sit some, 23:55 like I'm kind of the sitting queen when you... 23:59 You know, I can sit, 24:00 I think I inherited from my grandmother... 24:03 My Grandmother Hodge. She reads. 24:05 Sit and read for hours. 24:06 I can get caught up out there just sitting there reading, 24:10 but that is a place of, 24:15 you know, you're stationary, you're set there. 24:18 You know, and Jesus wants to come in, 24:21 you know, behold, 24:23 I stand at the door and knock if anyone lets me in, 24:26 I'll come in and sup with him. 24:28 So He wants to come in and sit, you know, each standing up. 24:33 You sit, He will dwell with us and us in Him. 24:37 So to me, knowing that He's our hiding place, 24:41 even if we're hit with things that come from left field, 24:46 we know that He's got us. 24:49 We know that He's got us. 24:50 So let's talk a little bit more about dwelling there, 24:54 and what it means to actually dwell there to abide in Him. 24:59 What does that mean? 25:01 How do we abide in Him? 25:03 I think you just broke it down so perfectly. 25:06 I mean, it's really just by spending quality time 25:08 with Christ. 25:10 You know, sometimes people 25:12 the only time people pick up the Bible 25:14 is like maybe once or twice out of the year, 25:17 or they might read Jesus wept and keep it moving. 25:19 Well, that's not quality time, we have to give time. 25:23 It's just like cultivating a relationship with anybody. 25:26 You spend time with that person. 25:28 You learn what they like, what they don't like, you grow, 25:31 you know, with them, 25:33 you want to do things for them out of the love 25:37 that you have for them. 25:38 So Jesus loved us first. 25:40 And so I mean, we're not even. 25:43 It's incredible because like, 25:45 we're not even initiating this thing. 25:48 You know, Christ already, He paid the costs, 25:52 you know, and so now we're learning 25:56 who His true character is. 25:59 And just loving Him, spending time with Him. 26:01 Well, how could you not wanna spend time 26:04 when you know what Christ has done? 26:07 How about this, the dwelling? 26:09 This is not original, so many of you will know it. 26:12 Excuse me, "Under His wings I am safely abiding, 26:16 Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, 26:19 still I can trust Him, I know He will keep me. 26:22 He has redeemed me. 26:23 And I am His child. 26:25 Under His wings, under His wings, 26:27 who from His love can sever? 26:29 Under His wings my soul shall abide, 26:32 safely abide forever. 26:34 Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow! 26:37 How the heart yearningly turns to His rest! 26:40 Often when earth has no balm for my healing, 26:44 there I find comfort, and there I am blessed." 26:49 Oh, beautiful. 26:51 "Under his wings, oh, what precious enjoyment! 26:55 There will I hide till life's trials are o'er, 26:58 sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me, 27:02 resting in Jesus, I'm safe evermore." 27:06 Under his wings... 27:07 Sing it. No, no, I won't sing it. 27:10 Under his wings, under his wings 27:14 who from his love can sever? 27:18 Under his wings, my soul shall abide 27:23 Safely abide forever 27:29 Yes. 27:32 That's incredible. 27:33 That kind of sums that up, I mean, beautifully... 27:35 It does. That's beautiful. 27:37 I forgot all about that hymn. 27:40 You sing that was my mom all the time 27:42 that used to do it, when we were kids. 27:45 My mom and I would sing it. 27:46 But that's the whole theme that you've chosen here 27:49 you prayed about in Psalms 91, 27:51 whole theme is man is in trouble, troublous times, 27:55 and the thing is that God has found a way 27:58 and has a way to help us out of these troubles 28:01 under His wings, safely abiding. 28:04 I mean, really if you think how wonderful 28:06 and how comforting that is to know, 28:09 you know, in Scripture in everyday life, 28:12 that there's someone who cares for you, 28:15 someone who's wanting to wrap their arms of love 28:17 around you. 28:18 I mean, even in the physical in this world that we live in, 28:20 it's nice to have family and friends, people who care. 28:23 And, you know, they're gonna wrap their arms of love 28:24 around you, 28:26 to help you, and to encourage you. 28:28 And I see that's God's way of just bringing relief to us 28:32 because He knows man is here a short time, 28:34 he's full of trouble, Job talks about. 28:38 And so, we need that kind of help. 28:39 And then the other thing you brought down 28:41 I thought was very interesting. 28:43 I'm learning this, 28:44 it's taking me a long time to learn it, 28:46 not sure I've learned everything. 28:47 It's just still opening up 28:49 new little rays of light sometime here. 28:51 Whoo! 28:52 You know, like where I have been, 28:54 you know, on this subject even that trouble, 28:57 and pain, sickness, 29:00 death it's all a part of God's redemptive plan. 29:06 I never put it that way before. 29:08 It's like, well, that God has everything. 29:09 It's part of God's redemptive plan when we look at it, 29:12 and it, and we are to do two things. 29:15 We are to accept God's plan, without complaining 29:19 and griping about it, accept His plan, 29:21 even though it doesn't feel real good. 29:24 And then it's for our instructions. 29:27 So God has given us through pain, 29:29 through death, through sickness, 29:31 through this mess that's going on in the world. 29:33 God is instructing us and preparing us 29:36 for something better that lies ahead. 29:39 And then I look at the Psalms, 29:41 the bottom line all the way down to the bottom line. 29:44 It's all gonna be well some days 29:46 as soon as Jesus comes. 29:49 In other words, there's a cure, 29:50 I can look through like say, 29:51 the tunnel vision here we're looking at here 29:53 and look at the end and say one of these days. 29:54 What is it when all my labors and trials are over 29:57 and I'm safe on that beautiful shore 30:00 just to be near the Dear Lord 30:02 I adore we'll through the ages the glory for me. 30:08 And I won't break out in the song, 30:09 but you have to do that. 30:11 Why don't you break out? Come on, Brother. 30:14 Don't wait too. 30:18 I love those words. 30:19 He didn't wanna sing when he was young. 30:21 We had a quartet 'cause there's four boys. 30:23 We have to have a quartet 30:25 and the rest of us didn't mind too bad 30:27 and Tom and me, we enjoyed it. 30:28 Ronnie was okay. 30:30 Kenny just did not, 30:31 he was the high tenor of the family 30:33 when he was young. 30:34 So when he got about 12 or 13, his voice changed. 30:37 And so it went started getting lower and lower 30:40 turning into man's voice, 30:42 but my mom still wanted him to sing. 30:44 And he did not wanna sing. 30:46 Well, he just did not wanna sing 30:48 so he said when I get, 30:50 tell me when the rest of us guys 30:52 when I get away from home I'm not singing. 30:54 In fact, he used to make this statement. 30:58 I will never get up in front of people again 31:00 and then guess who ends up being a pastor. 31:02 Oh, my, I apologize... 31:06 I'm sorry. 31:07 Yeah, I just happen to say, I don't wanna sing. 31:09 I'm not gonna do it 31:11 and then somebody who's been up four millions of people. 31:15 Interesting. 31:16 Lord is good. He's good. 31:18 I thought about. 31:19 Oh, go ahead. 31:22 Okay. 31:23 I was thinking too. 31:25 As everybody has been talking is that Christ set the example 31:29 of how to dwell there, 31:30 you know, Desire of Ages even makes it very clear 31:33 that he had to pull away from the people 31:36 that he had to come 31:37 into that secret place of prayer 31:40 and he sought divine strength. 31:42 I think this teaches all of us 31:45 that if we haven't made it a habit 31:48 that we need to make it a priority 31:50 and we need to make a priority very quickly. 31:52 You know, God is allowing these winds of strife, 31:55 He's sending all of these sirens 31:57 as we talked about earlier to wake up His church 32:02 to call His people out of Babylon 32:05 and those that are in the church to say, 32:07 "Hey, Bride, come on, 32:09 you got to fill those lamps with oil." 32:11 You know, you mentioned earlier 32:13 about reading for hours and hours 32:15 and being quiet. 32:17 That's when the Holy Spirit can really talk. 32:19 You know, what is it, Psalms something says, 32:22 "Be still and know that I am God." 32:24 You know, we have to be still in that quiet place of prayer 32:29 connected with heaven, 32:31 you know, and God will give us that divine strength. 32:34 He will give us the instruction, 32:36 He will help us to understand His Word more fully. 32:40 He will write these things in our hearts, and in our mind, 32:43 just as He has promised we're gonna need that. 32:46 We're gonna need that. 32:47 He cannot, you know, the Bible, a lot of people say, 32:50 "Well, I don't have to prepare." 32:51 You know, God will give me that. 32:52 What's He gonna give you if you haven't filled it up. 32:56 You got to eat the word, you got to drink it in, 32:59 and then when you need it, He's gonna bring it out, 33:02 bring it back to fruition. 33:04 That's right. 33:05 When I think about dwelling, I think of a dwelling place. 33:10 And you two, we used to be in construction, 33:15 you helped me build my house. 33:17 And, boy, progress is a process that is a long process... 33:21 That's a fact. 33:22 But it just went well. 33:24 It did, but actually it really didn't take that long 33:26 for its like to get well really like one and a half 33:29 'cause I didn't know what I was doing, 33:31 but so when I think about that, though... 33:34 We made one good man. I'm happy. 33:36 A man an atheist what he was doing. 33:40 So when I think about that, 33:42 everything hinged upon a solid foundation. 33:47 So with that foundation, 33:50 then we started laying the building blocks 33:52 on top of that, 33:53 and then we put the hurricane clips on. 33:56 We tie everything in to make it to fortify it, 33:59 to make it strong, 34:00 to make it so that it wasn't going to be knocked over 34:04 or easily done away with. 34:07 And so, that's what I think about here is like, you know, 34:11 when we set our foundation on the rock, on Christ, 34:16 we have a solid foundation. 34:19 You know, we won't be shaken. 34:22 Good. 34:23 Amen. 34:25 The first four verses of this chapter 34:27 is all about trusting in God, putting ourselves in a position 34:32 so that we won't be out of God's will for our life, 34:36 knowing that no matter what happens. 34:39 In other words, when we become Christians, 34:41 we don't get out of the storms, 34:43 we go through the storms, but we go through, 34:46 we have peace in the midst of the storm. 34:49 The version I have is the American Standard. 34:53 I just looked that up. 34:54 And as we're looking down, it says, 34:57 we're talking about under God's wings and it says, 35:00 "He covers you with His pinions." 35:03 And you know, pinions are actually the wings. 35:06 We've already talked about it, 35:07 but they're like the wings of a bird, 35:09 but they're there 35:11 if you wanna stop a bird from flying, 35:13 you cut his wings off, which is a God's wings. 35:16 When pinion, if you're wrestling, 35:19 whether it's kickboxing or wrestling, 35:21 and you get somebody in a position 35:23 where they're totally, you got their hands tied up, 35:26 you've got their arms tied up, 35:28 almost have them in a fetal position, 35:31 that's a pinion, they call it not opinion. 35:34 It's a pinion position. 35:35 So what God is allowing us to do it says here's the wings, 35:40 here's the shelter, come and dwell here. 35:43 And now I'm gonna cover you with this. 35:46 So you're gonna be completely covered 35:48 just like you would be bound hand and foot. 35:51 Actually, we can take to something 35:53 as badly as a kidnapper. 35:55 They bind somebody's hand and foot. 35:57 And in this case, we willingly go to God and say, 36:00 "Here I am. 36:01 Take me, you know, 36:03 I wanna be totally under Your pinions. 36:05 I wanna be totally under Your wings." 36:08 So because no power on earth or out of the earth, 36:12 Satan in the demonic world can move God's wings, 36:17 His wings of protection against us. 36:20 Amen. 36:21 Well, since we keep talking about verse 4, 36:23 I wanna make a comment 36:26 about being under the wings because... 36:29 Let's read verse 4. Okay, all right, go ahead, sis. 36:33 Okay, verse 4, 36:36 "He shall cover you with His feathers, 36:37 and under His wings you shall take refuge, 36:41 His truth shall be your shield and buckler." 36:44 Amen. Well, that's good. 36:45 When we... 36:47 I was studying this, 36:48 there's just so many examples of chickens, your mother hen, 36:54 and many hens have in times of fire and destruction, 36:59 they stretch those wings 37:00 and their babies get up underneath there. 37:03 And many times they'll come back 37:05 and find the mother hen dead. 37:08 And I thought how applicable. 37:11 God loves us so much that He gave His life for us, 37:16 so that we can continue to live under His wings. 37:19 Yeah. 37:21 And then that shield we know what a shield 37:24 is different kinds of shield, but a buckler. 37:26 I had to look that up. 37:28 It's a small shield that's either held by handle 37:32 or it's put on the forearm. 37:34 And I was thinking, you know, 37:35 because we shield ourselves from every wind of doctrine 37:39 from the darts of the enemy, 37:41 no matter where you put your arm, 37:44 you are shielding important parts 37:46 to keep you alive and well 37:48 and with that whole armor of God, 37:51 it was shielding from sin. 37:53 So it's just on and on and on 37:56 that this is a powerful, powerful, 37:59 you know, chapter in Psalms. 38:00 My brother Danny will remember, for sure. 38:03 You remember how often your dad would say, 38:05 my dad would say, remember? 38:08 Have son, don't worry about it. 38:09 Have I not off taking you on? 38:12 You say, "Dad, come on now." 38:13 You know, that he... 38:15 Oh, yeah, we would say dad, but what about this, he said, 38:18 son how often I've taken you on in my wings. 38:21 And, you know, he said a lot. 38:22 And of course, we've always had comments on, 38:24 but I like to think about taking, you mentioned, 38:26 such as hen or chicken, whatever, take the wings over, 38:30 a mother hen. 38:32 That's a natural instinct. 38:34 See, God has that natural instinct as it were. 38:37 When we're in trouble, what does He do? 38:39 He wants to spread His wings out. 38:41 Not only is it a natural instinct, right? 38:44 For the hen to do that with the chicks. 38:46 As our Heavenly Father is with us 38:48 little helpless chickens, as it were, but also He calls. 38:54 So while He's protecting us, He's calling us to come on in. 38:59 I've got the feathers as it were. 39:02 I've got the refuge. 39:04 Come on, please. 39:06 Come on. Come on, come on, right now. 39:07 And that's kind of the message we're giving, 39:09 we wanna give to the world right now. 39:10 It's right now in this time 39:11 that we're living is so uncertain 39:14 that the Lord is calling us to get under, 39:16 let Him shelter us. 39:19 You know, that I want sheltered in the arms of Jesus. 39:21 Beautiful song, 39:23 think that the words are so beautiful. 39:24 So we need to keep that go. 39:25 And we are as helpless as little baby chicks. 39:28 I don't think I've ever seen my dad always says sometimes 39:31 you wandered around like a chicken with your head off. 39:33 You know, it was... 39:34 So we had to be, you know, really, we are very helpless. 39:37 God recognizes that. 39:39 And so He just invites us to come natural instinct 39:43 against to wrap His arms around us and to say love us. 39:46 Our dad had 1,000 sayings and they still, 39:49 I just told her this morning. 39:50 Hardly a day goes by 39:51 that I don't think of some of them. 39:54 One of those is, "Son, I wished you'd use something. 39:56 Your head for something besides a hat rack." 39:59 So he figured that one out didn't take and I'm like what? 40:03 Think about that for a little while. 40:05 Verse 3, go back up to therefore, 40:07 "He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, 40:09 and the deadly pestilence." 40:12 So now we're looking at pestilences. 40:14 We're looking at pandemics. 40:16 We're looking at that, 40:17 that from the snare of the fowler. 40:20 A fowler is actually a person who hunts fowl. 40:25 Yes. That's right. 40:27 So he's out there and he's a hunter basically, 40:30 I'm gonna shoot, but he says, 40:32 "I'll deliver thee from the snare of the fowler 40:35 and the deadly pestilence." 40:37 So, in this sense, it's sin. 40:40 That sin is out there. 40:42 The devil is the fowler. 40:44 So he's the one that's out there, 40:46 trying to say, "Okay, 40:48 I'm going to Kenny, Chris, Jay, Yvonne. 40:50 I'm gonna get these folks." 40:52 And he basically, the gun of sin, 40:54 he's trying to destroy us but the Lord says, "No." 40:57 But yourself, you know, under here 41:01 before the refuge and my fortress, 41:03 when you place yourself under my wings, 41:06 under my protection, the sin, 41:11 the devil can't get to you. 41:13 So he can try all he wants to. 41:16 And COVID-19 doesn't make any difference what it is, 41:20 cannot destroy your salvation 41:23 and cannot cause you to lose your salvation. 41:26 So I'm gonna keep going back to that to the spiritual side 41:30 because somebody says, 41:31 "Oh, yeah, but so many people are dying." 41:34 Yes, they are. 41:35 They're resting in Jesus, they're not dying, 41:38 but let's say resting in Jesus for a short nap, 41:42 and then it's eternity for forever, 41:45 as long as we shelter ourselves, 41:48 and you said in the arms of God's. 41:49 Beautiful. Amen. 41:52 Sometimes when I think about being under, 41:55 taking someone under your wing, 41:58 I think about instruction, mentoring. 42:02 All of those things. 42:04 So along with the protection comes instruction. 42:07 So God has given us instructions in His Word. 42:10 A lot of us don't read the instruction manual 42:12 when we're putting something together. 42:15 I'll YouTube it, but, you know, He's given us instructions. 42:20 And so we don't have to walk through life blind. 42:23 That's right. 42:24 Amen. 42:26 It's interesting that David uses the metaphor 42:29 of a bird feathers, 42:33 you know, the shadow, and the fowler 42:37 because back in those times in Palestine, 42:40 there were a lot of birds being used 42:42 for a lot of different things, whether it was eating 42:44 or whether it was for sacrifices or whatever. 42:47 And so the fowlers would set traps for the birds, 42:52 and try to ensnare them. 42:54 And so David is saying here, 42:57 that the fowler is not going to basically prevail, 43:01 that God is gonna deliver us from the traps, 43:06 from the snares of the fowler. 43:09 Yes. 43:11 That is, that is. 43:12 You mentioned shadows. 43:14 I got to bring this point, I was looking at this, 43:18 the shadow in Isaiah 49:2, 43:22 and then I went to Ephesians 6:17, 43:25 Hebrews 4:12, and Revelation 1:16, 43:28 but then I started looking up the sword. 43:31 And so as I was looking up the sword 43:33 and the structure of the sword, 43:36 a sword would have what's called a scabbard. 43:39 I believe that's how you pronounce it. 43:41 It's a scabbard. 43:42 It was a protective covering of the sword. 43:45 And so the scabbard was often oiled. 43:48 And so it had oil on the inside to protect the sword, 43:52 the shaft of the sword from rust and decay. 43:55 So then when you think about oil being on the inside, 43:58 you think about the Holy Spirit is protecting us 44:01 against all of the outside, 44:05 you know, influences and snares and all of that stuff, 44:10 so I was just blown away as I was looking up the sword 44:13 and think I was, "Wow!" 44:15 I mean, that's incredible. 44:17 In the Word of God is compared right to the sword, 44:20 which needs to be oiled up in the sheet 44:22 as it were the cover 44:24 because many times we have to draw it out quickly 44:27 because the devil comes on you quick, right? 44:28 You don't want against it. Oh, it's all rusted up. 44:30 You know, I can't. 44:31 A lot of times our Bibles are rusted up 44:33 if you know what I'm talking about. 44:34 There's gathering dust and we're not sure about it, 44:37 but we need that sword. 44:38 We need it oiled and greased by the Holy Spirit to work 44:41 when we have to do as it were with the enemy. 44:43 We do it with the Word of God. 44:44 It's so important. It's a good point. 44:48 So when have you needed 44:52 the secret place? 44:54 Every day. 44:57 When you think of an experience 45:00 or something that has happened to you? 45:04 When have you needed to just run to God and say, 45:08 "Lord, I need you now." 45:10 Because there's so many people watching, who feel like, 45:14 "Lord, I need you now. 45:15 I'm going through this really terrible time. 45:18 I need you now." 45:20 What did you do when you needed the Lord like that? 45:24 You know, I was looking for that particular question. 45:26 I wrote a lot of different... 45:28 Oh, here it is. 45:29 I wrote a lot of different things down for it, 45:32 but I'm not gonna use any of those 45:34 because just a few weeks ago, 45:36 and I'm still feeling the results of it. 45:38 So I don't know what I had, 45:40 but I can't remember being sick for weeks 45:44 with all the natural remedies that I do 45:46 and the treatments that I do, maybe as a child, 45:50 I don't know, but going through the first week, 45:53 you know, I'd take my stuff I'd feel better, 45:54 and then I get sick and I kept affecting my throat, 45:57 kept affecting my lungs, once in a while my head 46:00 and going into the second week, it was a Sunday. 46:05 And, of course, this was during COVID, 46:08 I had no idea, I'm high risk. 46:10 I'm asthmatic and kind of old. 46:14 Oh, no, you're not actually. 46:17 As Jay is the only one 46:19 that will emphasize with me, Jay. 46:22 I'm not getting in there, Aunt Chris. 46:24 But anyway, that evening, I had been taking everything. 46:29 And suddenly my inhaler wasn't working. 46:32 I don't have good insurance. 46:35 And I started worrying. 46:37 "Oh, what if this is it? 46:39 What about Kenny? What about my kids? 46:40 What, you know, what am I gonna do?" 46:42 If I go to the hospital, they can't help me, 46:44 they don't have any of this stuff. 46:46 They don't use things 46:47 like we do to support the immune system 46:49 and things like not better I say it on the air, 46:53 but other things that can fight, 46:55 you know, viruses and I thought, 46:59 well, you know what, you need to get in there 47:01 and I'll say this I was on an infrared mat. 47:04 And during that time, I opened my Bible. 47:07 And I literally in my sacred place, 47:09 right then I went through Psalms 91 47:12 with tears in my eyes, 47:15 claiming these promises as my very own 47:19 because all we had been bombarded 47:21 was once it hits the lungs and I kept trying so hard 47:25 to keep it from going into an infection 47:28 because once you get that infection, 47:30 whether it be bronchitis going into pneumonia, 47:32 you know, there's just not a lot they can do for you. 47:35 And at that time, I was thinking cleansing, 47:37 but later after all this happened, 47:39 I found out that infrared does kill viruses, 47:43 but then during that secret time of prayer, 47:45 the Lord gave me another idea. 47:47 So when I got out, I did that. 47:49 By midnight, I could breathe, and I could go to bed. 47:55 So I kept that roller coaster on for a few weeks, you know, 47:59 and but I just praise God that He's there. 48:02 What if we don't have Him? 48:04 I think about times I've lost people 48:06 that are so near and dear to my heart, you know, and... 48:11 If you don't have Him, you have no hope. 48:13 And that's what we're seeing in this world. 48:15 That's why that book is so important 48:17 to give people hope because coverts here, 48:21 but it's gonna pass, and then what? 48:25 We need never lose our hope. 48:27 We need never come out of that secret hiding place. 48:31 We need to be seen with God. 48:33 We need to keep that connection with Him each and every day. 48:37 You know, otherwise, you know, you don't know what to do. 48:40 You don't have faith in these passages, 48:43 but we're told and Mrs. White makes it clear too, 48:45 you need to claim those as your very own 48:48 to learn these passages. 48:50 Ask Him and said, "Lord, this is what you said. 48:53 I'm claiming it right now." 48:55 Amen. Amen. 48:57 Well, I can think of a time 48:59 where my mom had to go to a secret hiding place for me 49:04 because I wasn't serving the Lord 49:05 and so I was in a situation 49:09 where I was about to be caught in the snare of the fowler. 49:13 And as I was laying in that hospital bed, 49:17 I had to have surgery, 49:18 my appendix had ruptured inside of me 49:20 and sealed off my intestines 49:22 and those were about to rupture next, 49:23 I was misdiagnosed. 49:25 And I remember laying there 49:27 and I had just a world wide variety of sins, 49:32 you could take your pick. 49:34 And I was laying there not really talking to God, 49:39 you know, like that, but I had a praying mom. 49:42 And so my praying mom 49:45 really interceded on my behalf. 49:48 And God spared me through that situation 49:52 because had I died then. 49:54 Oh, Lord have mercy. 49:56 Yeah, it would have been in my sins. 49:59 And I wouldn't be reunited at the second coming 50:04 with loved ones when they're going to heaven. 50:06 So that for me 50:09 was a very interesting time, 50:13 a difficult time, but the prayers of a mother. 50:17 Amen. 50:19 Isn't that prayer and praise 50:22 our partners, right? 50:25 You really can't do one without the other. 50:29 You know, 'cause the Psalms is talking about Psalms 91 50:31 we're talking about here is when you, you pray, God, 50:35 you ask God for some, you ask for His blessings, 50:38 and then you thank Him 50:39 for all the blessings He's given you. 50:41 So you start praising Him. 50:42 "Thank You for all the blessings 50:43 You've given me throughout all my life. 50:45 The things I've asked for I'm thanking You now for it 50:47 because I know that You're going to answer 50:49 in Your time and in Your way." 50:50 So it's praise, 50:52 and this partner at praise and thanksgiving. 50:55 I think it's a wonderful thing that we need to be exercising. 50:58 Amen. 50:59 Right now this time is claiming 51:02 that God's bigger than any disease, 51:04 any pestilence, 51:05 anything is going on in the world and truly trust. 51:08 And we realized we're not gonna get quickly, 51:09 we're not going to get out of this world with anything. 51:13 The world soon just shut down. 51:15 That's not to bring discouragement. 51:16 That's when we lift up our head 51:18 because our redemption draweth nigh. 51:19 So really, through all the stuff 51:21 that's going on, 51:23 the Lord keeps impressing my mind as He does. 51:25 I'm sure all of you here. And it gives us peace. 51:26 It gives us a peace. 51:28 I'm looking at beyond, I see all this mess. 51:29 I have no answers for it. 51:31 I don't know what to do with it, 51:32 but God's Word does. 51:34 Book of Psalms says, Psalm 91. 51:35 People would just go to that today 51:36 and just read some of those verses. 51:38 And then maybe the thing to do. 51:39 Claim them. 51:41 Claim everyone just like you did, 51:42 like you're doing I'm claiming those promises. 51:44 And His promises are sure. 51:46 Amen. Amen. 51:49 Did you have a... 51:51 Well, I go, and over the years, 51:53 I've had to go there many, 51:54 many times and try to stay there, 51:56 but you fall away. 51:57 But so many times I find I do it on behalf of, 52:02 you know, the Lord has given us called us to do a ministry, 52:06 a great ministry for Him. 52:08 And I always feel like, I'm in the way, 52:10 is like so I go there and say, "Lord, please, I'm in the way. 52:14 So I'd like to just not even see this. 52:16 I don't wanna feel it. 52:17 I want you to take over this ministry." 52:20 So the only way God can really take over the ministry 52:23 and put His blessings as in spite of us, 52:27 but when we come to the point to say, "I can't do this. 52:30 I don't know how to do this. 52:31 I can't go forward." 52:33 Kenny and I knew that when we were carrying 52:34 five gallons of diesel fuel, 52:36 putting in a tractor to dig the footings, 52:39 we don't know, but Lord, 52:40 this is your ministry, this is your so... 52:43 We draw, need to draw so sometimes we say, 52:46 "Well, we think about physically 52:48 or spiritually, 52:50 you know, different ways for me." 52:51 It's been and, of course, so many ways, 52:53 but constantly having to be there and say, 52:56 "Lord, I'm just please cover me." 53:00 In other words, help me not to be in the way 53:03 of Your ministry. 53:05 So I need sheltered, you know, put me there, cover me, 53:09 and I'll get that fetal position. 53:11 I'll admit that I'm not worthy of doing anything for You. 53:16 And I think when we come to the point, 53:18 we realize we're not able, we are the baby chicks, 53:21 we're not able to take care of ourselves. 53:23 As Chris said, Jesus died for us, 53:27 made that plan of salvation for us, 53:29 then that all we have to do is come to Him 53:32 and acknowledge that we're sinners, 53:34 and then ask God to work in us and through us in spite of us. 53:37 And don't let the devil discourage you to say, 53:40 "Well, I'm not worthy." 53:41 Guess what? No one else. 53:43 No one's worthy except through the blood of Christ. 53:45 So in our weaknesses and our infirmities, 53:50 God will use us 53:51 as long as we constantly go back to that 53:54 we find yourself wandering out of the most holy place 53:58 and out of the shadow 53:59 and we've got to get back into that, 54:01 God is willing to use anybody 54:03 who is willing to be used and I promise you, 54:06 He has something great and mighty and marvelous 54:08 that He wants you to do 54:10 when you come in the name of the Lord. 54:12 That's for the winning of souls, not only for others, 54:15 but for our own salvation. 54:17 Should we be evangelistically minded, 54:20 should we care about others because in caring for others, 54:24 it also helps us understand how much God loves us. 54:28 Amen. It's true. Amen. 54:29 And we also need to be interceding. 54:34 Just as you were saying, Jay, 54:36 you know about me praying for you. 54:38 And recently I found out 54:40 that a cousin of mine is very, very ill 54:43 and she's not walking with the Lord and I just, 54:47 I'm begging God to please, please send something to her, 54:52 the Lord has... 54:54 He has so many ways that He can reach people. 54:58 We need to intercede for those who don't know Him, 55:01 for those who are sick, 55:02 for those who are carrying heavy burdens, 55:05 we need to get in there and intercede for them 55:10 and lay it bare before the Lord 55:14 and He will hear and He will answer. 55:17 We are faithful, faithful God that we serve. 55:21 I'd like to read this. 55:25 Psalm 91:15-16, 55:28 "He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him, 55:32 I will be with him in trouble, 55:34 I will deliver him and honor him. 55:37 With long life I will satisfy him, 55:40 and show him My salvation." 55:42 So that is the assurance that we have. 55:46 When we call upon Him, 55:48 He will answer and He will deliver. 55:51 And even He says, with long life, 55:53 it might not be on this earth, 55:55 but we will have long life eternally with Him. 56:00 Do you have a closing thought? 56:03 A quick closing thought? 56:04 Well, it is, just a quick one, 56:05 it's just not only we're blessed by Psalms 91 56:08 in this study and a lot more to it naturally 56:09 that, but it's interesting, 56:11 the Book of Psalms and Isaiah 56:13 are the two most frequently used 56:16 that Jesus quoted from. 56:18 Two most important books 56:19 that He quoted from the Old Testament 56:21 and the ones that used in the New Testament, 56:22 kind of interesting. 56:24 Book of Psalm, so I encourage people 56:25 to get into the Word. 56:26 I would say, let's look at this time 56:28 as the most exciting time of your life, 56:31 living in these closing moments of earth's history. 56:34 We're actually seeing what's been prophesied 56:37 so many years ago, 56:39 all the calamities and when this COVID is over, 56:41 is everything gonna be great? 56:43 No. 56:44 Things are gonna get worse and worse, 56:46 until till sin is so bad that Jesus says I've had enough 56:49 and He stands up, He comes back for you and me. 56:53 It's my hope in prayer. 56:54 You're not discouraged, 56:55 but you're encouraged in the Lord 56:57 and be sure and take every advantage, 56:59 every opportunity to witness to those around you 57:03 and tell them this simple thing. 57:05 Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. 57:09 Yes. Amen. 57:10 Amen. 57:12 The first trial I went into I'd had no peace. 57:15 Second one walking with the Lord, 57:17 I had peace and I have confidence 57:19 and if you notice here, it says, 57:21 "I will, not I will try. 57:23 I will." Amen. 57:25 Amen. 57:26 Thank you so much for joining us. 57:28 Thank you, dear family, for being with us. 57:31 Happy Sabbath to you and may God richly bless you. 57:34 See you next time. 57:35 Bye-bye. |
