00:04 I wanna spend my life, I
00:15 wanna spend my life,
00:36 I wanna spend my life,
00:47 I wanna spend my life.
01:07 Hello and welcome to another 3ABN Today, Live, Behind the
01:10 Scenes program.
01:11 Wow, Jill, I think I got all the words out.
01:13 So glad that you have joined us this evening.
01:16 Thank you very much for being a part of the 3ABN family.
01:20 And I love these 3ABN Behind the Scenes programs because
01:24 it's really telling what God is doing through this ministry but
01:28 also it's report on your ministry, right?
01:30 We're all in this together.
01:33 So I know we tell you it seems like every program but we do
01:36 truly thank you for your continued prayers for 3ABN,
01:39 also your financial support of this ministry.
01:42 Without you and of course the Lord Jesus Christ we would not
01:45 be able to reach the world.
01:46 So it's just amazing because there are so many opportunities
01:49 for 3ABN and I'm just excited to be alive at this moment in
01:54 earth's history, right?
01:55 It's a privilege and the same for you as well.
01:57 There's a work for us to do.
01:59 Sometimes it may be easy to say, okay I'm just watching
02:02 them on 3ABN.
02:03 God has a work for you to do that can be supporting
02:06 ministries such as 3ABN but also doing a work in your local
02:09 community, your local church.
02:11 So I'm excited about tonight's program.
02:13 I am indeed.
02:14 3ABN is all about evangelism.
02:15 Go ye, take this everlasting gospel message from Revelation
02:20 14 to the entire world.
02:23 Tonight we have exciting evangelistic updates for you.
02:28 Pastor John Dinzey just returned from Cuba.
02:30 So we're going to hear what God is doing in Cuba.
02:33 3ABN is going to Paris and we're going to talk to you
02:36 about evangelism in Paris.
02:37 We have an upcoming evangelistic series in Mexico
02:41 and translation, Guatemala I think maybe, translations of
02:46 3ABN programs into many different languages and the
02:51 Bible study guides and so much more.
02:52 Camp meeting.
02:53 Camp meeting, yes.
02:54 So I'm excited about tonight.
02:56 The family, we're going to trade out family for the two
02:58 hours but the family tonight, Mr. Danny and Dr. Yvonne.
03:02 We could say mom and dad but so glad you're here tonight.
03:06 Thank you for having us tonight.
03:07 It's great to be here.
03:08 It's been a cold week, hasn't it?
03:10 Boy, I tell you what, here in southern New York, it's been
03:12 chilly but it's all relative based on where you live.
03:14 I was in Minnesota yesterday and it was 12 below zero.
03:18 Wind chill was a lot worse than that.
03:20 So this thing, when we came home, it was 30 degrees or well
03:24 maybe 35 degrees warmer.
03:26 So normally what we would think was cold and we got off the
03:29 plane and said, this doesn't feel bad at all.
03:31 Very relative, isn't it?
03:33 That's true.
03:37 time in earth's history.
03:38 So I'm just so thankful for the opportunity.
03:42 40 years of ministry and God has allowed us to continue and
03:46 as long as he gives us breath and health, we plan on
03:49 continuing getting the gospel to the world.
03:52 The undiluted three angels messages, one that would
03:54 counteract the counterfeit.
03:56 So it's incredible and Yvonne and I, we love talking about
04:01 our day.
04:02 No matter where we are, we spend a lot of time talking
04:04 about Jesus coming soon, talking about evangelism, and
04:08 talking about opportunities, new roads of communication, new
04:13 highways.
04:18 And one other person is about our age on here too.
04:20 I'll let the folks decide.
04:22 She's raising her hand.
04:24 Not by looks or anything, I'm just saying, but who would have
04:28 dreamed 40 years ago, technology that's there.
04:32 When we were young, they had Dick Tracy cartoon and he could
04:36 talk on his watch and that, and that was such a, that was,
04:40 that's ridiculous.
04:41 That could never happen.
04:43 And now it's the technology, but God's done it for one
04:47 reason.
04:51 the gospel to the world.
04:52 And so he says, I'm gonna give you every tool to help you.
04:55 And so technology is there, 3ABN, thanks to you at home.
04:59 We're able to use it and we want to continue and we'll be
05:02 talking about some of these evangelistic outreaches and new
05:06 ways to reach people.
05:08 And thank you for your love and your prayers and financial
05:11 support.
05:12 It is a privilege to be here tonight.
05:15 Ditto.
05:17 I love that.
05:19 That's perfect.
05:20 Coming around the table here, we have, we're gonna skip past
05:23 to Ryan for one moment.
05:24 We're coming right back to him, but Sister Shelly Quinn, we're
05:27 so glad you're here this evening.
05:29 And I know JD can't be on with you here tonight, but you both
05:32 are an integral part of the ministry.
05:33 We love being here.
05:35 It's so wonderful to wake up with purpose every day.
05:38 And our purpose is to reflect and refract the love, the light
05:44 and the life of Jesus Christ.
05:46 And we just want to thank you so much for being part of our
05:49 family.
05:51 I love, the one thing I love about being a Seventh-day
05:54 Adventist, no matter where we go around the world, we meet
05:57 family, you know, and there's so many people that watch 3ABN
06:02 and know you.
06:02 It's just, it's, we love you.
06:05 We love you.
06:07 And 3ABN family, we have family members in many different
06:09 denominations and we love each one of you.
06:12 What a beautiful thing.
06:13 We hear from people from many different denominations who
06:16 watch 3ABN and who are blessed by the messages.
06:20 So praise Jesus.
06:21 I love that, Shelly.
06:22 We are family.
06:24 And I think, I think the reason it appeals to people of so many
06:28 denominations is that it is scriptural.
06:31 I mean, it's from the Bible and we're proving our points by
06:34 scripture.
06:34 Praise God.
06:36 Now we're introducing Pastor Ryan Johnson.
06:39 So if you've watched 3ABN, you've seen him host a program
06:43 called Imperative Life Lessons.
06:44 We air that on Dare to Dream as well as on 3ABN, our parent
06:48 network, as you call it.
06:50 He's been in for camp meeting, but recently he stepped in as
06:55 the new general manager of Dare to Dream Network.
06:59 I need a drum roll.
07:04 So Pastor Ryan, we're glad you're here.
07:06 And your lovely wife, Anissa, will be joining you in a few
07:08 months.
07:09 It is an honor to be here.
07:11 It really is.
07:13 It's an honor to be in the work at this time in history.
07:16 And I appreciate everything that you all have said so far.
07:20 I love waking up in the morning with purpose.
07:23 It's a wonderful thing.
07:24 And I just want to let you all know that I have asked Shelly
07:26 to just punch me in the arm whenever I mess up.
07:29 You'll see that.
07:30 And I'll fall into it.
07:31 And she will.
07:32 And she will.
07:34 Have you ever considered that evangelism itself is evidence
07:39 of the power of God?
07:40 And here's how.
07:43 The world's getting crazy, have you noticed?
07:45 And it is getting progressively crazier and crazier.
07:48 And we have this tendency to focus on the lunacy of the
07:52 world, but think about it.
07:53 The crazier the world gets, then the more amazing it is
07:59 that God's Word is getting out.
08:02 The harder the devil works, then the more glorifies God
08:07 that his work is going through.
08:09 And so I appreciate the ministry of evangelism that we
08:13 have here at 3ABN.
08:14 Yeah, we're excited to have you on board, Pastor.
08:16 It really is.
08:17 I mean, just we're very privileged.
08:18 I know, like Jill mentioned, you've been a part of 3ABN for
08:20 a while, Dr. Yvonne.
08:21 I think he first came on to Dare to Dream.
08:23 Well, you would know that, what, is it three years ago?
08:25 Four years ago?
08:26 Oh, no.
08:27 It's been, it's over a decade.
08:28 Okay.
08:29 Wow, yeah.
08:30 Fantastic.
08:31 And he sings?
08:32 He preaches?
08:37 Mom, first of all, okay, let me go back a little bit.
08:41 So Ryan first, his mother-in -law and I were in the first
08:47 grade together.
08:48 So this is going back a while.
08:49 We go way, way back.
08:50 Oh, that just came out.
08:52 Didn't you say a while?
08:54 Hey, hey.
08:56 You know.
08:57 But I didn't say it.
08:57 Oh.
08:58 I just went in some terrible hole.
09:00 Dr. Yvonne, I have to come around and give you a hug.
09:02 I apologize.
09:03 That's all right.
09:04 It could just mean six months.
09:07 Praise the Lord for a little bit of powder on my face.
09:09 I think I've blessed you terribly.
09:11 That's what you call it.
09:12 Unwarned trick.
09:13 That's right.
09:14 This is behind the scenes, folks.
09:15 Oh, yes.
09:16 I'm sorry.
09:16 I messed up.
09:17 Please forgive me, Dr. Yvonne.
09:18 You did not.
09:19 Let's move on quickly now.
09:22 So I go back with his mother-in -law and then I don't remember
09:28 how...
09:30 It was redemption, I believe.
09:33 So Pastor Ryan has so many gifts and one of them has been,
09:38 he had a production company that produced a, it was a
09:44 documentary kind of called Redemption.
09:47 And he allowed Dare to Dream to air it.
09:51 And how many years ago was that?
09:53 Oh, that's...
09:54 About 12?
09:56 Yeah, 12 partitions.
09:57 That's when he first then came on 3, being...
09:59 So, yeah.
10:00 And he was just so kind and so gifted.
10:04 And then he did another documentary and I saw the
10:07 quality of his work.
10:09 And then Jason said to me, Mom, did you know Ryan can sing?
10:13 I said, what?
10:19 I got to hear him sing.
10:20 I'm like, this guy has so many gifts.
10:23 So I'm really, really excited and thankful that you have
10:28 taken the baton and you are now the General Manager of Dare to
10:33 Dream Network.
10:34 Thank you so much for your encouragement.
10:36 I cannot reiterate just how much of an honor it is to work
10:40 with this august group.
10:41 When I first got here, I was just so impressed with how
10:46 dedicated everyone is.
10:48 But you want to know something else, friends?
10:50 What you see on the air is exactly the way everyone is.
10:54 Oh, man.
10:55 Just as kind.
10:58 Oh, man.
11:01 So, Nissa and I are very excited to be part of the
11:04 family and to participate in continuing the vision of Dare
11:09 to Dream and when I get a little chance to talk about it,
11:11 I want to talk about the progression of the vision,
11:14 which, as you know, started with Dr. Shelton.
11:16 That's right.
11:19 Go ahead and say something, Mr. Davis.
11:20 Well, yeah, Yvonne said something to me some time ago.
11:24 She said, you know, blah, blah, blah, Ryan, and he can sing,
11:28 you know, and I said, okay, well, she's a singer and we
11:31 have a lot of musicians, we have a lot of singers.
11:33 Oh, yeah.
11:37 or there's a couple things that we always say in ministry,
11:41 people are, they're either preachers or singers, you know,
11:43 apparently because they'll tell us how to do it, you know,
11:46 whether people like to do them.
11:48 You know, when I was a carpenter, it seemed like
11:50 everybody was a carpenter.
11:51 They wanted to tell you how to do your work.
11:53 But I said, oh, he's a singer.
11:56 She said, no, I mean, he's a singer.
11:59 And I said, oh, he's a singer.
12:01 So this is our kind of lingo at home.
12:03 She goes, no, he's a singer, a singer.
12:06 So now that tells you something that says, okay, this guy is
12:10 very good at what he does.
12:12 And she said it's a great gift.
12:14 And so it is, so we're blessed to have you because we always
12:18 got room and need some good music.
12:21 So that's right.
12:25 to get labeled as a singer only.
12:27 This guy preaches with the fire of the Holy Spirit.
12:32 He's the man of the Word, a good preacher.
12:34 And I have somebody that is not a Seventh-day Adventist who
12:38 watches 3AB and all the time.
12:40 And I told her you were coming and she was going, oh, man,
12:44 that guy preaches my way.
12:47 Thank you for that encouragement, by God's grace.
12:50 Pastor Ryan, why don't you tell us a little bit of your story.
12:52 I know the whole program is not about that, but just tell us
12:55 your story, maybe your journey, because you didn't start out to
12:57 be a pastor or a minister.
12:59 So just share with us your story so people get to know you
13:01 and your family a little bit.
13:03 Yeah, I'd be honored to do so.
13:06 Firstly, I would like to take a minute to introduce my team.
13:10 We have a fantastic team working with the Dare to Dream
13:14 Network.
13:19 She carries a lot of weight.
13:22 In many ways.
13:23 No, no, no, no, no.
13:25 No, I messed up.
13:28 No, no, no, no, no.
13:30 The best way to do it is just keep going.
13:32 Yeah, just keep going.
13:34 But her influence is incredible.
13:38 I also work with Brother Ricky Carter, who's been on several
13:43 programs.
13:44 And we have some new things that are coming out.
13:46 And I want you to know that when you see things, Brother
13:49 Ricky has his handprint, his thumbprint, in that he is
13:52 working tirelessly.
13:53 And he's a bit of a preacher as well.
13:56 And then there's my lovely wife, Anissa, who is the true
14:00 boss.
14:03 She is going to be finishing out the school year.
14:05 She's a math teacher at one of the Adventist Academies, the
14:08 Thunderbird Academy in Arizona.
14:10 So after the school year, she'll be coming here.
14:12 And we will work in the ministry together.
14:14 That is a wonderful thing.
14:17 No, I did not set out to be a preacher, but I knew that I was
14:23 supposed to be a pastor.
14:26 I lost my best friend when I was young.
14:30 And I talked a little bit about this on one of our urban
14:35 reports some time ago.
14:36 And it still hurts.
14:38 A lot of people will ask, how did you come to terms?
14:41 I didn't come to terms.
14:42 I came to grips, not to terms.
14:44 I'm still working that out.
14:46 And a lot of us were really, really heartbroken.
14:49 But that began my journey away from God.
14:53 And I was very, very angry at God, yes ma'am.
14:56 Can I ask, how did you lose your best friend?
14:58 He was shot.
15:02 He'd been at church earlier that day and just pulled up to
15:06 a traffic light.
15:09 And random gang initiate came in and shot him.
15:14 And it hurts.
15:15 It's a sudden loss.
15:17 It hurts, yeah.
15:18 It's amazing that I think back on how many years have gone by
15:22 because some pains are always yesterday.
15:29 But I was very angry.
15:32 I mean cursingly angry at God.
15:35 And one day I was in a restaurant and I was dating a
15:39 young lady.
15:40 And it's not a Nissa, so I forget her name and will never
15:43 remember it.
15:44 I have a Nissa Nija as I like to say.
15:47 Oh, that's good.
15:48 It blew my mind.
15:49 But the young lady was there and I was having this
15:52 conversation about how I would never have anything to do with
15:55 God, anything to do with ministry, anything to...
15:58 Because my parents are church -going folk.
16:01 And so this is a thing when the child wanted to go here and the
16:05 parents, especially if you've got a scary person like my
16:07 mama, you know.
16:08 So this was a pertinent conversation.
16:10 We were in a red robin.
16:12 And while I was talking about what I would not do for God, a
16:17 young man, a young Caucasian fellow came in the door and
16:21 weaved his way around the tables.
16:24 And we're talking and I'm looking at him and he comes up
16:27 and this is set up about right.
16:29 He came to the edge of the table like here.
16:32 And when I think about it, I cannot see his face, the
16:35 features, but the generality is I'd say 18, 19.
16:42 He turns to the young lady whose name I can't remember and
16:44 he says hello to her, extends his hand and he's just holding
16:50 on to her hand like, you know, and the bravado is coming up.
16:58 What are you doing holding her hand?
16:59 What is this?
17:00 I mean, you know, I see we...
17:02 That's right.
17:04 He then turns and if I'm remembering these details, it
17:08 was kind of a weird dance here.
17:10 He extends his hand and I grab it and I just clamp down on
17:14 this young man's hand and I say in my best, my best gruff
17:19 Batman voice, may I help you?
17:24 And he didn't...
17:28 says, you wouldn't believe me if I told you and I go try me.
17:32 He said, all right, God sent me here to tell you...
17:36 Whoo, I knew you were going to say this.
17:38 ...that you will be a pastor.
17:40 Now here's the thing because I have faced death many times
17:44 between now and then.
17:46 He said, you will preach before very large audience of people.
17:55 And there were times after I preached to 500 folk and then I
17:59 was laying on the death bed.
18:00 I have type 1 diabetes and I was like, well, the Lord has
18:03 come through and the Lord said, no, that's not what I said and
18:06 he brought me back and then there were times and it was
18:09 something else where the Lord has come through and the Lord
18:11 said, that's not what I said and he brought me back and it
18:13 was when I was invited to come here.
18:18 You feel me?
18:19 Oh, I do, absolutely.
18:21 I'm relating.
18:23 The Lord is going to have his way anyway.
18:27 So he says this to me and I was just a young, angry
18:30 whippersnapper.
18:31 Is that Texan whippersnapper?
18:33 Yes, that's whippersnapper.
18:34 What did you say?
18:34 Does that translate?
18:35 That's what I said.
18:39 And I did not know the path that lay before but I was angry
18:45 at him.
18:49 him and the young lady says, don't go, but I followed him
18:52 and he was far enough away that he could go out the little side
18:56 door like the door that says, don't open because...
19:00 but there was no alarm on it and the door could close just a
19:04 split second before I went out the door and he was gone.
19:09 I knew what I was supposed to be.
19:10 Now what were you going to do if you caught him?
19:12 You know what, you were the second person to ask me that.
19:16 Dina Mortataya, a good friend of ours who lives in Texas,
19:19 asked me that question, what would you have done had he been
19:23 there?
19:27 But I knew what I was supposed to be and so like any obedient
19:33 young man, I pursued a career in medicine.
19:39 And the Lord stood in the path every single time until one day
19:45 when my health was really bad, I made a deal with the Lord.
19:50 Okay, Lord, let me finish the medical and then I will
19:54 immediately go and I will be a pastor.
19:58 And the Lord said, okay, he did this and then it was just days
20:03 later that I got the call.
20:05 We are looking for an associate pastor and that's been years.
20:09 I've since been ordained and all of that but I look back
20:12 over my life and it's a good feeling to see that the Lord
20:16 has been guiding the whole time.
20:18 It also gives the confidence that where Nyssa and I are
20:22 right now is a product of where the Lord wanted us to be.
20:27 So yeah, that's a bit of our story.
20:29 It's just a great story.
20:31 Can I just add one thing?
20:32 Because it is so amazing.
20:34 I remember sitting in a little town of 5,000 people in the
20:37 middle of Texas and I was learning to journal my prayers
20:41 and listen for the Lord.
20:43 And he speaks like a sentence at a time and it's kind of
20:47 like, what do you mean Lord?
20:48 And he said, look it up.
20:50 But then he told me he was going to join me to one that
20:53 was running fast after him.
20:54 I knew that was him because I'm going, wait, I thought you
20:57 called me to full-time ministry.
20:59 Why are you going to join me to something?
21:01 But he said, you will speak into all the world.
21:05 And December the 31st of 2002 was my first time on 3AB and
21:11 other, well, we'd been at ASI interview.
21:14 But I remember I'm just sitting there and he said, told you you
21:19 were going to speak into all the world.
21:21 And it was like, wow Lord, he's so amazing.
21:26 But that could have been an angel.
21:28 I believe that it was.
21:30 I do.
21:31 That someone would walk in and complete a conversation that he
21:36 had not been a part of.
21:38 Wow.
21:39 It was just, the young lady, just tears were in her eyes.
21:43 But I am sad to report, I was such an angry young man that my
21:47 tears of humility did not come until much later, but they
21:50 came.
21:54 because I was already in my mind.
21:56 I bet you that was an angel.
21:57 Because he's going out and I was thinking you were going to
22:01 say he disappeared.
22:02 Couldn't see him and I thought, now what did you really think
22:05 you could do to an angel?
22:06 Because you didn't know.
22:09 And that had been a battle you probably wouldn't have wanted
22:11 to get into.
22:12 I would like to add that of the two things that he told me that
22:16 day, you'll be a preacher and then the nature of it, I would
22:20 never with anyone share that second part.
22:23 My parents, my wife, until I got here.
22:26 And now I can share that testimony.
22:29 Wow.
22:31 Yeah, what God has done.
22:33 I can't wait to meet your mama.
22:36 Oh.
22:38 You know Pastor Ryan, before we move on to talking about Cammy
22:41 and such, maybe talk to that person right now that says, you
22:43 know, I don't even know actually what my purpose is in
22:45 life.
22:47 but there are some people that say, I don't even know what God
22:50 has in store.
22:53 I would say firstly, we do not discount the power and the
22:57 significance of prayer.
22:58 Do not.
23:00 We very often talk about prayer in such a way that it's, we
23:04 think of it as a psychological security blanket.
23:08 It's just a thing that we put on to make ourselves feel
23:11 better, but not at all.
23:12 It is conversation with our God.
23:14 So I would firstly say to that person, pray, but I've been
23:18 praying, wonderful, pray.
23:20 There's another aspect to prayer, listening.
23:23 Amen.
23:24 And when we look in the Bible, we see so often that a part of
23:28 the transforming experience that many of these patriarchs
23:33 had was not just learning to pray, but learning how to
23:35 listen.
23:37 Lord, show me how to recognize your leading, how to know my
23:43 purpose when you say, there it is.
23:46 That's what I would say.
23:47 You know, you could ask three people that and get three
23:49 different answers.
23:51 This one is mine.
23:52 No, it's excellent.
23:53 It's a good one.
23:56 you that say, you know what, I'm just here by accident.
23:58 There's no reason for me to be here on earth.
24:00 There is a reason for you to be here, to be alive.
24:03 As we've been talking about this evening, there's a reason
24:05 that we're here today and it's a privilege to be alive at this
24:09 moment in earth's history.
24:10 God has something special for you to be doing.
24:12 And so, yeah, don't get discouraged.
24:14 And I love that.
24:14 That's fantastic.
24:15 Yes, listen.
24:17 It is powerful.
24:18 God brought you here for such a time as this.
24:20 You know, God calls people here.
24:23 We believe everybody who walks through these doors is called
24:26 to be part of this ministry.
24:28 And that's no exception with you and your precious wife.
24:31 God called you, preparing you all those years ago for what He
24:35 has in store for you right here at this moment.
24:38 So, praise Jesus for that.
24:39 It's amazing.
24:40 Yeah, of course.
24:41 Shelly.
24:41 Thank you for your faith in us.
24:42 Amen.
24:43 Shelly, can we talk about camp meeting coming up?
24:46 Yeah, I thought you'd quit crying.
24:47 I just love that story.
24:49 Thank you for sharing.
24:50 Oh, boy, have we got a camp meeting for you.
24:55 June the 4th through June the 7th.
24:59 And the title is Preparing to Proclaim the Final Cry.
25:06 So, it starts Wednesday night, June the 4th.
25:09 We'll have the music hour.
25:11 Then the first sermon is Wake Up, The Hour is Urgent.
25:15 And that's Christopher Hudson, who so many people love.
25:18 The power of the everlasting gospel, the only true gospel.
25:22 That's Carlos Munoz from Amazing Facts will be with us.
25:26 Then Thursday, we begin early.
25:28 We've got breakfast.
25:29 Hey, we've got wonderful food, free food.
25:34 And then so breakfast, then it's...
25:35 I'm going to go through these quickly.
25:38 Reconciled and restored and up close and personal
25:40 relationship, Wently Phipps, indwelt, baptized and led by
25:45 the Holy Spirit, Jill Morricone.
25:47 Then we have Dr. Jim Markham.
25:49 And I'm not sure exactly what his program is, but I think
25:52 he's taking our medical questions.
25:54 And then that evening, well, that afternoon, we've got
25:58 production tours, playing giving, more music that
26:02 evening.
26:03 Are we ready for the latter rain?
26:05 David Shin, Latter Rain Preparation, Repentance and
26:09 Humility, Pavel Goya will be joining us.
26:13 And then on Friday, again, breakfast, Latter Rain
26:16 Preparation, Faith and Obedience with John Jensey, and
26:21 then Latter Rain Preparation, Reflecting Christ's
26:25 Righteousness and Love.
26:27 I'll get to do that one.
26:29 Then Latter Rain Preparation, Unity of Believers, Pavel Goya.
26:36 Then again, production tours and playing giving.
26:40 And you have time.
26:41 You know, it's beautiful about camp meeting.
26:42 It's like a little bit of heaven, a little taste of
26:46 heaven.
26:50 So you'll have time to do that in the afternoon, that evening,
26:53 more music.
26:55 And then Understanding the Final Deception, Christopher
26:58 Hudson, People Need the Lord, The Harvest is Ripe, Brother
27:04 Ryan Johnson.
27:05 And then Sabbath morning, we've got the Sabbath School Panel
27:10 and then we'll have Divine Worship.
27:13 I don't know, I'll ask you that in a minute, what you're going
27:16 to do.
27:20 Sharing the Final Cry, that's Kenny Shelfhead, Receiving the
27:25 Remnant into the Fold.
27:28 I like that one, James Rafferty, and Standing Firm
27:33 Till Christ Returns, Pastor John Lomacate.
27:36 We want to invite you down.
27:38 There's going to be wonderful children's programs and we have
27:41 some free spaces that you can come and bring your RV or your
27:46 camper or pitch a tent.
27:48 But we just want you to come join us because I'm going to
27:51 tell you something, you can watch it on TV and it's
27:54 wonderful to watch.
27:56 But you don't get the same sense of the anointing as when
28:01 you're in the room.
28:03 And sometimes the anointing is so strong, it's almost like a
28:07 net is falling over.
28:10 So just come join us, let us hug you, Nick.
28:14 Amen.
28:17 Great time, Mr. Danny.
28:18 It is a little taste of heaven because you have people from
28:22 everywhere, all different cultures coming together and
28:25 that's how heaven's going to be.
28:26 And it's just like the messages are so inspiring.
28:30 I just love the messages.
28:33 My husband's working on his.
28:35 Yes, Mr. Danny.
28:36 Chalk waves.
28:37 It's called chalk waves.
28:39 I like it.
28:41 Jill's writing that down, I am, too.
28:42 Chalk waves.
28:43 Yeah, in case I forget.
28:46 You won't.
28:48 I was troubled by getting old.
28:50 Tell us the theme, actually, for camp meeting because it's a
28:53 powerful theme for camp meeting.
28:54 It's preparing to proclaim the final cry is the overarching
29:00 theme.
29:01 And I'm just so excited about...
29:05 Chalk waves, that's a good sermon time, Mr. Danny.
29:07 That is a good sermon time.
29:09 This is something we all need.
29:11 It is.
29:12 Preparation, what are chalk waves all about?
29:16 Well, we'll just have to wait and see what the Lord gives us.
29:20 But we got quite a bit together, but it's going to,
29:22 it'll join with the rest, but it's going to be about the
29:25 everlasting gospel.
29:27 And what is the gospel because there's so many, you know, you
29:31 say, as you said a while ago, several different people, they
29:34 have different answers when it comes to the gospel, even
29:37 within our own church.
29:38 And there are some things that variables, but there's things
29:41 that are solid that we have to have, need to have in order to
29:46 be ready for Jesus, in order to where he can use us so that we
29:51 can then be used as vessels of honor to get this great gospel
29:55 message, you know, into all the world.
29:57 Because Jesus is coming soon.
30:00 I know people say, oh, well, I thought my grandpa, you know,
30:04 my great grandpa thought Jesus was coming.
30:06 They thought, you know, early in the church, Jesus is coming.
30:09 And so, you know, and my grandpa, my parents thought
30:12 Jesus was coming.
30:13 Why would you say that?
30:15 Have basically, Ryan, have the gall to sit and say, you
30:19 believe Jesus is coming, what's different?
30:21 I said, oh, I can tell you.
30:23 When the Bible says that in the end, knowledge will be
30:27 increased and men shall run to and fro.
30:30 So in the 1900s, you know, maybe they got, you got a
30:36 better horse to ride or you finally got trains in the late
30:39 1800s and 19th.
30:41 But technology, literally, if the world lasts another
30:46 thousand years, because when this gospel of the kingdom is
30:49 preached into all the world, that's when Jesus is coming
30:51 back, right?
30:57 you improve on the quickness of getting the gospel to the
31:01 world?
31:01 So technology is there right now.
31:03 As we're speaking to you at home, the signal is going up 22
31:06 ,300 miles to space, traveling at the speed of light, which is
31:10 186,200 miles per second, going on how many satellites, Greg?
31:15 Eight or nine?
31:17 Eight satellites are literally around the world, coming back
31:21 into the homes through satellites or cables or
31:24 through, you know, internet, all kinds of ways using social
31:29 media now.
31:33 So if my grandpa was young, what have you, there was no way
31:36 to get this gospel to the world.
31:38 And well, yeah, Jesus is coming soon.
31:41 And of course, for us that die in the Lord, that's it.
31:44 It's a matter of our race is run, we'll rest till Jesus
31:48 comes.
31:53 And God has given us this technology.
31:55 So I say, why wait any longer?
31:57 Because three seconds, you can't improve on that.
32:00 I mean, you know, no matter how long.
32:02 So I do believe Jesus is coming soon.
32:05 And we're seeing technology like we've never seen before in
32:09 this language thing, you guys, it's incredible.
32:13 Yeah, go ahead.
32:14 I get so excited every time we start talking about the
32:17 languages that our programming is being translated into Hindu
32:24 and Arabic and Chinese and all of these different languages
32:28 that we can now get into these places where the gospel is not
32:34 readily accessible.
32:36 But we can get into them, into people's homes and without
32:41 others knowing who could do them harm.
32:43 It's just such, it's so exciting to me.
32:46 And I'm so thankful that now we have a way to reach everybody
32:51 with the good news of Jesus.
32:53 Jenny was Googling something a couple of weeks ago and it
32:58 didn't have anything to do with me.
33:00 And all of a sudden he said, well, I'll be.
33:03 And I said, what?
33:04 He said, this is you preaching in Chinese.
33:08 Oh, that's right.
33:10 So we hit it.
33:13 That's amazing.
33:14 I can think about it a few years ago, even when we started
33:17 the ministry 40 years ago, there was no social media, no
33:21 internet.
33:22 I mean, it literally was 3ABN.
33:25 If you wanted to watch Adventist programming 24-7, we
33:28 were the only network in the world, only Adventist network
33:32 in the world or at least network giving Adventist
33:35 message, which we say is the Bible message.
33:38 And you were so limited.
33:40 And now anybody can take, when Jesus said, go ye into all the
33:44 world, Dr. Thompson used to say he counted his resources in
33:48 advance and found he wasn't wanting.
33:50 So when he says, go ye into all the world, you can do that now
33:53 with your telephone.
33:55 You can go anywhere, you can get on social media and people
33:58 can hear and watch and listen to you anywhere around the
34:02 world.
34:06 Now that people who've never been, you know, had a voice, we
34:10 get on and say, oh, wow, people are listening to me.
34:12 So now we get into all kinds of subjects we probably shouldn't
34:15 be rather than giving the gospel to the world, you know,
34:19 because we get into politics, we get into arguments with
34:23 people and we're using this, the devil is distracting us.
34:26 But it's incredible, the technology and AI is just
34:31 amazing that all the language is.
34:33 So there's no longer a language barrier as far as getting the
34:37 gospel to the world.
34:39 So literally speak it and it can translate it into languages
34:43 and even, which is scary, can show in your image and it looks
34:47 like you're speaking in that language.
34:49 I mean, that's how scary it is.
34:51 It's very scary.
34:52 That's very true.
34:54 Talking about camp meeting is that, again, it's talking about
34:56 a time of fellowship and family get together, right?
34:59 We're talking about you being our family.
35:02 And I also want to mention too that 3ABN camp meeting is not
35:05 just for Seventh-day Adventists, all right?
35:07 That's right.
35:08 Because we know the majority that watch 3ABN are not Seventh
35:11 -day Adventists but you're searching for truth.
35:13 And so come to camp meeting.
35:14 You don't have to be, I've had some people say, well, it's
35:16 just kind of an Adventist get together.
35:18 No, anybody can come to camp meeting.
35:19 Just be blessed, come.
35:21 We're talking about the RV park.
35:23 We do have one here that's right next to the worship
35:25 center.
35:27 You can just walk or we have golf carts and you can get back
35:29 and forth from your RV to the main auditorium sanctuary.
35:33 But those RV park spots fill up quickly.
35:36 And I understand, Jill, I think is it already a third full?
35:39 It is already getting close to half.
35:40 Yeah, reserved already.
35:42 And so here it is, February.
35:43 So we encourage you to call 3ABN.
35:45 The number's there on your screen, 618-627-4651.
35:49 Just call 3ABN and they have to reserve that spot.
35:52 Isn't that correct?
35:53 It's complimentary.
35:54 You don't pay anything but you have to register and sign up in
35:57 order to get that RV spot.
35:59 And I know a lot of people now stay in Airbnbs locally or
36:02 local hotels or you can come and camp for free.
36:06 And we have the bath house all set up there for you.
36:09 And we did some extra improvements since the last
36:12 time because we had like 85 tenters, remember that, at Camp
36:15 Mead?
36:19 So now we have some more showers there so there won't be
36:21 such a long line.
36:23 So just come on down.
36:24 We would love to spend this time together.
36:27 It was amazing, you know, last summer at Camp Mead, you know,
36:29 it's been a while since it's been that full.
36:30 But I remember people, because we're trying to bring in more
36:32 chairs, people were sitting on the floor around the outside
36:34 perimeter.
36:35 It was so full.
36:36 And like Jill was saying, it's a great problem, right, to have
36:38 so many people looking for truth, excited about
36:41 fellowship, excited to come to 3ABN.
36:43 So we're looking for the same this year.
36:45 Again, those dates are June 4 through 7.
36:49 Pre-Kids meetings.
36:50 Yes.
36:52 Amen.
36:53 Free food.
36:54 Free food, I was going to say that.
36:56 Yeah, free food.
36:57 So yeah.
36:59 That's why it's so important too because 3ABN, we praise the
37:04 Lord for it and our Board of Directors and leadership.
37:07 But the message has not changed in 40 years.
37:09 That's right.
37:11 If you look at around us, our own church, other churches
37:15 going from one side to the other, you know, hard to stay
37:19 right down the middle or where the Lord would have us to be.
37:22 And things that are accepted now that are anti-Bible, anti
37:26 -God, wouldn't have dreamed even 20 years ago, maybe 10 or
37:30 15 years ago, things are changing.
37:32 So people are looking for truth.
37:34 They are.
37:39 because we've not changed.
37:41 Our speakers are still sticking with the Bible and that should
37:46 be just a no-brainer.
37:49 You know, hey, Ryan, your preachers are all sticking with
37:51 the Bible.
37:52 That should just be, duh.
37:54 But nowadays, that's almost like a commodity.
37:56 I mean, it's a rarity because people are going to the left,
38:00 going to the right because the devil knows a house divided
38:03 against itself can't stand.
38:05 But 3ABN, that's why I think people, so many say, we want to
38:09 come, we want to be a part of it.
38:11 These subjects and Shelly, you and others who get the outlines
38:16 and get the sermons together and then the people coming
38:19 together, it's all going to end up that there's only one way
38:24 out of this world and that's through the Lord Jesus Christ.
38:27 And we can talk about it and put it on all kinds of titles.
38:31 Well, this is this subject, that.
38:33 But when you come here, our goal is that if you don't know
38:37 Jesus, you will find him here and you'll take him with you.
38:41 And that you also find that God has something for you to do.
38:45 You're not just to be a watcher or just a listener, but there
38:48 are ways that you can share.
38:50 As we say, used to somebody said, well, I can't get out of
38:53 my house.
38:53 I can't do, my health is bad.
38:55 Now you can pick up your phone.
38:57 You know, you can reach people around the world.
39:00 So finding that God has something valuable, as they
39:05 say, a lady wrote a letter years ago and said, never
39:09 change what you're doing.
39:11 God has called 3ABN, called you in 3ABN to ministry.
39:14 She said, when Jesus was hanging on the cross, you were
39:17 on his mind.
39:18 And that's with each and every one of you.
39:20 When Jesus was hanging on the cross, you were on his mind,
39:23 you and me.
39:25 I mean, so what a privilege.
39:26 He could see down that stream of time and realize there'd be
39:29 people willing to give their lives unto death if necessary
39:32 for the cause of God.
39:34 So we want to be that.
39:36 I know you do too and so do we, but getting together really
39:39 helps us.
39:43 know, fired up for the Lord.
39:45 And so that's what camp meeting does.
39:47 It brings brothers and sisters together and encourages.
39:51 It does.
39:54 time you leave here, if you come with an open mind and
39:57 heart, the Lord says, if you seek with me, seek for me with
40:00 all your heart, guess what?
40:02 We're going to find.
40:02 We're going to find it.
40:03 That's right.
40:04 And we'll be blessed.
40:08 to interact with you rather than just through the
40:11 television screens.
40:13 Speaking of getting together, tomorrow night we're in
40:17 Jamaica.
40:18 So we look forward to seeing you.
40:21 If you live in Jamaica, a number of the 3ABN family, you
40:26 will both be there, Mr. Danny and Dr. Yvonne, Pastor John
40:29 Lomacane and Angela, Tim Parton, Ricky and Jasmine
40:33 Carter and Greg and myself.
40:35 So join us tomorrow night.
40:37 We'll be at the Andrews Memorial, Seventh-day Adventist
40:39 Church there in Kingston.
40:41 So we're very excited about that joining together.
40:46 And then all day on Sabbath, we'll be at the Northern
40:48 Caribbean University.
40:49 So at the Gymnatorium, I think is what they call it.
40:53 So you've been there before, I know, but we'll be having a
40:57 Sabbath school church afternoon, music and
41:00 testimonies.
41:03 I love those opportunities we have, you know, to go out and
41:06 connect in with the 3ABN family.
41:08 You know, and even if someone doesn't live in Jamaica and you
41:11 want to grab a last-minute ticket...
41:12 Yes!
41:13 ...to Jamaica.
41:14 It's a good time of year to go.
41:16 Well, you're leaving us with 6 inches of snow.
41:21 Yeah, just how it worked out.
41:22 So yeah, we're looking forward to that.
41:24 Again, a great time of fellowship.
41:26 And I believe there's also the following weekend, you're going
41:29 to be doing a women's ministry event in Texas.
41:33 We'll be at the Grand Prairie Seventh-day Adventist Church
41:35 there just outside of Dallas.
41:36 This is with the Texas Conference, so that will be
41:39 March 1st.
41:40 And looking forward to that time together.
41:43 Then we're going north.
41:44 You can look on 3ABN's website.
41:45 I don't know the dates up there yet.
41:47 April 19th, I think we have a graphic for that too.
41:49 We're going to Toronto.
41:50 So we'll be there in Toronto April 19th.
41:53 Looking forward to being there with our 3ABN family.
41:56 We're at the Filipino Church for that.
41:59 So looking forward to that too.
42:00 The Toronto Filipino Adventist Church.
42:03 So looking forward to that.
42:06 of traveling.
42:07 I know, I know.
42:09 It's a blessing to write that fellowship.
42:10 The rallies are special to me because we get to go to these
42:15 different churches and we get to meet the people there.
42:18 That's right.
42:19 And it's just a time of...
42:22 It's inspiring.
42:23 It's just really inspiring.
42:25 So I love the rallies too.
42:28 Yeah, get to meet the people.
42:29 I know we were just at GYC.
42:30 Jill and I were there.
42:32 And you get to meet so many people and we get to hear your
42:34 stories.
42:38 you were hearing Pastor Ryan's testimony too.
42:40 You all have incredible stories.
42:42 This gentleman came past the booth and he said, you know he
42:45 said I was just chilling or just relaxing on a Saturday, he
42:49 said.
42:52 laying back, relaxed.
42:53 And he said, I came across 3ABN and you just think about the
42:57 timing of this.
43:00 worship and he said, that was a question I've had for like my
43:02 entire life.
43:03 And he said, you think of the timing of that.
43:05 I'm just flipping through the channels and I hear the speaker
43:07 mention a word that just, hmm, I'm interested in that.
43:10 And he said, I just stay on that channel.
43:12 He said, that was 10 years ago.
43:13 He said, I'm really involved in my local church.
43:15 I'm so excited about how God has led in my life.
43:18 So these stories we tell you is to encourage you because he
43:21 found 3ABN and you have made a difference in that man's life.
43:26 And he is an example of thousands untold numbers around
43:30 the world and that's thanks to you.
43:31 You know Mr. Danny, I know we need to go to you Pastor Ryan
43:34 and update on Dare to Dream.
43:35 But just talking about our donors Mr. Danny, you were
43:37 mentioning earlier about 40 years, right?
43:40 That's how 3ABN, we're faith based ministry.
43:43 We don't receive, we're supporting ministry to the
43:44 Seventh Adamist Church but the church doesn't support us
43:47 financially in any way.
43:48 And it's up to our people at home, our family at home.
43:51 And what's neat too is that we've seen those that have
43:54 never given before feel impressed of the Holy Spirit to
43:58 give.
44:00 3ABN.
44:03 impressed.
44:08 give back to make a difference in somebody else's life.
44:12 That's powerful, that is so powerful.
44:14 But what a difference they make.
44:15 And I would like to say as God opens more and more doors for
44:19 3ABN to reach more and more people, you think the devil is
44:22 happy about it?
44:22 No, he's not.
44:24 And so there's times like the giving, you know, we really
44:28 don't know.
44:32 this week, this month after 40 years.
44:35 It'd be nice if we had a bunch of chains somewhere, a bank,
44:39 Ryan, and we had it.
44:40 Now that you're here, it's too late to go back.
44:43 I'll let you know, we really don't know how we're going to
44:45 pay you.
44:46 Now that you're here and signed up, I don't know how you...
44:49 Now we tell you the news.
44:50 We don't know how you're going to get paid.
44:52 There's no guarantee next week.
44:54 But the only thing I can tell you is for the last 40 years,
44:57 everybody's gotten paid that the Lord has provided.
45:01 But I would like you to pray and ask the Lord what he would
45:04 have you to do because the devil hates this message that
45:08 we have to give to the world.
45:10 And so one of the ways that he works is to try to discourage
45:15 people to give, to do other things.
45:17 And so without your love and your prayers and financial
45:20 support, we'd all just be sitting around a table talking
45:23 to ourselves and not to the world.
45:26 So we want you and ask you to prayerfully join hands with us
45:30 in supporting this ministry as we continue to take the Gospel
45:35 into all the world.
45:36 Thank you in advance.
45:38 Amen.
45:39 That's right.
45:39 Yeah, no, I agree with that 100%.
45:42 Pastor Ryan, I know we only have like 11 minutes left or so
45:44 of this first hour, but give us some updates and some of the
45:46 plans for 3ABN Dare to Dream.
45:49 You've kind of hit the ground running.
45:51 That's a very accurate statement.
45:53 It has always been the vision of Dare to Dream to educate the
45:59 people in the urban communities concerning the problems that
46:03 face the urban communities.
46:04 And these could be financial problems and they are in many
46:08 cases, family development problems, problems with, here's
46:13 something, how to be an effective father.
46:16 That is something that we talked about on one of the
46:18 Today shows and I was really touched by the testimony the
46:21 brother gave.
46:23 And we invite you to come and join us.
46:26 We have our YouTube channel.
46:28 We have our website.
46:30 And our website is d2dnetwork .tv.
46:35 So we invite you to come and join us.
46:37 But I want you to know, we would also like to come and
46:40 join you.
46:41 And so part of our vision is to get into the community.
46:44 And what I'm saying is, you never know, we may be showing
46:47 up at a church near you.
46:48 So we're going to come and do rallies and just really
46:51 fellowship in the Lord.
46:53 And also we implore you, just as Brother Shelton was saying,
46:59 to share this gospel.
47:00 We are in this together.
47:02 Go ahead and share that website with somebody because you never
47:06 know who it is that needs an encouraging word.
47:10 So just share and let the Lord do what the Lord is doing.
47:14 Here are a couple of things.
47:15 We have some new programming coming up.
47:17 There is a series of shorts called The Missing Piece.
47:20 That's P-E-A-C-E.
47:23 Look for that.
47:24 And thank you so much, Dr. Shelton and Brother Ricky
47:28 Carter for your hard work there.
47:30 Also, I'm going to be bringing Brother Ryan Mack to come back
47:34 in and continue to share some of his wisdom.
47:37 Man, he's got some energy, doesn't he?
47:38 Oh, man, and so much knowledge.
47:40 And so much knowledge.
47:42 And the name of his program is...
47:44 Dollars and Cents.
47:45 Dollars and Cents.
47:47 And so we invite you to check that out.
47:49 He has a word for God's people in this day.
47:53 We're also wanting to increase our youth involvement.
47:56 Now we have several things that I've been talking to my
48:01 superior about.
48:02 And getting approval.
48:08 But here's one of the things that we have already talked
48:12 about.
48:13 These YouTube and Facebook shorts, it seems like they're
48:17 not going to go away.
48:18 They match the attention span of our main demographic.
48:24 And so we're going to be asking young people, young people,
48:29 make sure you have your stuff together.
48:31 Make sure that you don't have things the Lord would not be
48:35 pleased with on your social media.
48:37 We would like you to provide shorts that we can then air and
48:42 we can then put out.
48:43 And thereby you become a part of the Gospel.
48:45 But also, nobody speaks to youth like youth.
48:48 And so that's going to be coming.
48:51 And then we have something special that's coming down the
48:53 road.
48:55 Something very visual, something very special that
48:58 we're going to be putting together.
49:00 And so may the Lord bless us as we continue the mission He has
49:04 given to us.
49:05 And do keep us in prayer.
49:07 Amen, yeah, exciting.
49:09 I know, isn't it?
49:10 It's really exciting because it's so important to...
49:14 And I'm so thankful that the Lord sent Ryan here because
49:17 it's to carry on the whole mission and vision.
49:22 I mean, Danny and I, from the beginning, the Lord gave us to
49:27 look at the inner city, to see what the needs are there.
49:31 And then design programming around that.
49:35 And Ryan is carrying that on.
49:37 So it's a blessing, it's really a blessing.
49:40 I'm so excited that the Lord sent you here.
49:43 And we're so grateful that you are carrying on the mission and
49:48 vision of 3ABN, Dare to Dream, and you're inserting new things
49:54 into it.
49:55 So we love that.
49:56 Fresh insights, yes, yes, yes.
49:59 So that's really great, it's exciting.
50:02 I love the vision, I love the insight.
50:04 I love the continuation of the vision that God gave to both of
50:07 you with the casting of that.
50:09 And you birthed that and walked that out.
50:12 And then Jason Bradley took up the mantle and carried it out.
50:17 And then now Pastor Ryan.
50:18 So it's a beautiful thing to see that progression and to see
50:21 the message not change.
50:24 To see the Gospel continue to go forward with power.
50:27 And I love reaching out and engaging with the youth.
50:30 I have a second, I feel bad.
50:34 I have hardly talked about Jason all of my time.
50:37 Jason, my predecessor, is a good friend.
50:41 And I like to look at the progression of the vision in
50:45 these stages.
50:47 He had an insistence on excellence.
50:50 Excellence, excellence.
50:51 And Jason, my brother, we love you very much for your
50:54 ministry.
50:54 You have big shoes to fill.
50:57 Not even going to try to fill those shoes, just going to
51:00 benefit from the big footprint and proceed forward.
51:04 So I just wanted to say that.
51:06 Oh, that's great.
51:07 And you know, we find also that a lot of you at home actually,
51:10 maybe you watch Parent, we call this the Parent Network, but
51:13 actually watch the other networks too, Watch the Kids
51:15 and Dare to Dream and all of that too.
51:18 Music, oh yeah, all the different networks.
51:19 So it's the whole family of networks that's spreading the
51:22 Gospel around the world.
51:25 And I think it was last summer camp meeting, going back to
51:27 camp meeting, the first time that you've attended a 3ABN
51:31 camp meeting, because I know you spoke, but did you attend
51:33 one before that?
51:34 I had never attended one live, no.
51:36 Yeah, it's a blessing, right?
51:37 To fellowship, see everyone there, so enthusiastic to be
51:40 together.
51:40 Shelly is right.
51:42 Watching, it is a blessing, and praise the Lord that we have
51:45 that availability.
51:47 But when you're there, oh the Spirit is there.
51:51 One other thing we didn't mention is also we have other
51:54 ministries bring their exhibits.
51:55 So we kind of have what we call a booth area, a little exhibit
51:58 area, so in between meetings you can go out and fellowship.
52:00 The musicians have their tables there as well.
52:03 So it is a great time of fellowship.
52:05 And one of the things that I also enjoy seeing is those
52:08 little breakout sessions that happen after a message when
52:11 there's a few minutes.
52:12 Let's say maybe a half an hour or so.
52:13 And I see you talking with your brothers and sisters there.
52:16 Your Bibles are open.
52:17 There's prayer time taking place.
52:19 Again, it's about encouragement.
52:21 And then we go back to our sphere of influence, your
52:24 community, your local church, to share what you've learned.
52:27 And that's how the Gospel will go to the entire world.
52:30 So it's a blessing.
52:31 I enjoy camp meetings so much.
52:32 And I love the prayer time in the morning.
52:34 Oh, I don't always make it.
52:36 But the times I do, what a blessing it is.
52:39 It's early in the morning before breakfast.
52:41 But just that time to come together and seek the Lord's
52:44 face.
52:50 and for us as a ministry.
52:52 And a lot of people attend that.
52:54 They get up early before they go to bed.
52:56 No, that is...
52:58 And we should have great music again.
53:01 I won't give you the names of everybody.
53:02 We're still in dialogue with a couple of people.
53:05 But they're people that probably most of you, a lot of
53:08 you will know their names.
53:11 They're very recognizable names of no matter what church you go
53:15 to.
53:16 But we're working on that.
53:17 Hopefully that will work out.
53:19 Christian people, we love the Lord, great talent.
53:22 And then of course, I think Reggie and Lady will be there.
53:24 Our own Ryan Johnson will be here singing with us.
53:28 I'm sure we haven't asked him yet, but it would be hard to...
53:31 You wouldn't turn me down on international television.
53:33 Maybe Ryan?
53:35 He can't say no now.
53:36 Ryan just said yes.
53:38 You just heard him.
53:39 He said yes.
53:40 Tim Parton will be there too.
53:42 Tim Parton, of course, and our own inside singers that we
53:45 have.
53:47 But it's going to be great.
53:48 Music is great.
53:50 And the people, we do it because you asked for it.
53:53 And people love the music.
53:55 And music is as important as prayer, somebody said.
53:58 And so if you think about it, and that's one of the things in
54:01 our churches when we go, we're like, why we'll get to our
54:07 music part and everybody's just like...
54:09 It's like we should be praising the Lord.
54:12 If we're saying what a friend we have in Jesus, it doesn't
54:14 have to be some new song, old song.
54:16 We should be excited about it and thinking about that.
54:19 Can you imagine being a friend, what a friend Jesus is to us?
54:24 I mean, it's something that I think in our churches, we
54:27 really miss out on blessings because we don't really take
54:31 the music part seriously enough as part of the worship service
54:35 that draws us closer and prepares us than for the rest
54:40 of the service.
54:42 And so we're really trying to concentrate on letting that be
54:47 a big part of the ministry too.
54:48 That's so important.
54:49 I was just thinking as you were talking about that, that I
54:51 think church can degenerate, if that's the word, into
54:55 formalism.
54:56 I just come because it's culturally acceptable.
54:59 I'm supposed to go to church.
55:00 I was raised this way.
55:02 So I just go to church and we lose the heart.
55:04 We lose this experience.
55:06 We lose Jesus.
55:08 We lose why we go.
55:09 I see we only have a couple of minutes left and I want to make
55:13 a sad announcement.
55:17 So we lost a great friend, not only personally to us here, but
55:22 to the ministry of 3ABN this past week.
55:26 Suddenly, Ms. Marylee McNeilis died suddenly and the wife of
55:31 Garwin.
55:33 And so we want to ask you for special prayers for Garwin and
55:36 his family, Denzel and Donald, the entire McNeilis family.
55:40 And you can talk about somebody and when people die, we say,
55:45 oh, well, they did this.
55:46 They were great people.
55:47 Marylee was one of the most incredible women, people, male
55:53 or female that I've ever met in my life.
55:55 What a heart for God.
55:56 What a heart for people.
55:59 Humility, always serving people, whatever.
56:03 At church, whatever you need.
56:04 She's there, including cooking, potlucks, doing whatever.
56:08 But an incredible woman, we've known her for probably 30 plus
56:11 years and just, she would be missed greatly.
56:15 And words we could do whole programs and we wouldn't.
56:18 And I don't think the family would want us to, but I just
56:21 thought words out and we just attended the funeral a couple
56:25 of days ago.
56:26 And it was just a small family one, just a very small funeral,
56:31 but sadly missed, but a great woman resting now for Jesus.
56:35 Yes, yes, she truly will be missed.
56:39 We became really good friends and we would send each other
56:41 little gadgets and things like that.
56:43 And so, yeah, she will be missed, but praise the Lord for
56:47 the resurrection.
56:47 Amen.
56:48 That's what we hold on to.
56:50 That's what keeps us going.
56:51 Absolutely.
56:57 heart for mission, and like you said, just a humble servant of
57:00 the Lord.
57:00 So yeah, what a great loss.
57:02 Our hearts, our thoughts, our prayers are with Mr. Garwin and
57:06 the entire McNeely's family right now during this deep time
57:09 of loss that we love you and we're praying for you right
57:13 now.
57:13 Yeah, thank you.
57:14 Thank you so much, Mr. Danny and Dr. Yvonne, Pastor Ryan, my
57:19 sister Shelly.
57:20 Thank you all for being here.
57:21 Thank you for being part of the 3Band family.
57:24 Thank you for the privilege of working together in ministry
57:27 and helping to proclaim that gospel message.
57:29 We got a full next hour coming up, more family coming on,
57:34 exciting evangelistic opportunities.
57:36 Don't go away.
57:37 We'll be right back.
