00:01 Welcome back, we've had an amazing study
00:02 of the Word of God. 00:04 I just want to thank you, Pastor John, Pastor Ryan 00:05 and Pastor Johnny, 00:06 for your insight and sharing today. 00:08 I want to give each one of you a moment 00:10 to share a closing thought. 00:11 Pastor John, we'll start with you. 00:12 Great. 00:14 As it comes to the Word of God, 00:16 this is a question because so many people today 00:18 are concerned about Bible translations. 00:20 I just want to make it very, very clear, 00:21 as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian 00:23 we don't develop our own Bibles, 00:25 we don't, we don't say, "Okay, this is our translation, 00:27 this is our Scripture." 00:28 We use the King James and New King James Version, 00:31 some prefer the NIV. 00:33 But the key is understanding whenever you use the Bible, 00:36 allow the Bible to shape you. 00:38 The thing I've said before is while you're reading the Bible, 00:41 if you're in right relationship with Christ, 00:43 the Bible is reading you. 00:44 Amen. Amen. Amen. 00:46 You know I just want to in reference to, you know, 00:48 receiving the seal of God, 00:49 how do we make sure we remain again, 00:52 abiding in Christ to receive that seal of God? 00:54 Paul wrote in his closing moments, 00:57 his last letter 2 Timothy 4:7, 00:59 he says, "I have fought the good fight, 01:01 I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 01:03 Have you kept the faith? That's the question. 01:05 Those who persevere to the end shall be saved, 01:08 so remain abiding in Christ Jesus 01:10 and He will give you the seal of God. 01:12 Amen. 01:14 Well, I like to say concerning the question 01:15 that came in about John Chapter 10, 01:17 where it says, "You are gods." 01:19 The reference here is in Psalm 82 01:22 is to judges and rulers of the people, 01:26 because they were as god to the people 01:28 in a sense that they were ruling 01:29 and making judgment. 01:30 So it's not that they were God 01:32 in the sense of the word of being God, 01:33 because there's only one God 01:35 and there can be no other. 01:36 Amen. Thank you. 01:38 I want to leave you with a closing scripture. 01:39 This is Hebrews 4:12, 01:41 "The Word of God is living, quick, 01:43 and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, 01:47 piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, 01:50 joints and marrow 01:51 and is a discerner of the thoughts 01:52 and intents of the heart." 01:54 Open up the Word of God, 01:55 allow the Word of God to open up your heart 01:57 to receive Jesus Christ. 01:59 Bye-bye. |
