00:24 Razor-sharp teeth, deadly venom, slashing claws, fatal stingers,
00:32 stampeding hooves, stabbing tusks, it's what nightmares 00:39 are made of. The thought of a dangerous animal 00:44 stalking, sliding, crawling, swimming, charging, 00:48 or flying nearby is enough to bring terror and intense 00:52 fear to the heart of most people and no wonder 00:56 the prospect of being fatally attacked by a dangerous 01:00 and deadly animal is a gruesome one. 01:03 But, do you know which species are most likely to kill you? 01:08 Just recently we've had another fatal shark attack. 01:12 So, is it the great white shark or the king of beasts 01:16 a ferocious lion? What about a charging elephant? 01:20 A poisonous snake, or a huge crocodile? 01:23 Well today we're going to look at seven creatures 01:27 that kill the most humans each year. 01:29 The world's seven most shocking deadliest animals, 01:34 but the deadliest of all, the species at the very top of the 01:38 World's Danger list may surprise you and shock you. 01:42 Join me on a journey into the wild in search of the world's 01:47 deadliest and the message they have for us today. 02:04 We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm 02:10 and adventure, there is no end to the stunning wonder 02:14 and diversity. Dense forests, open grasslands, treeless tundra, 02:20 sandy deserts, freezing ice sheets, vast oceans, 02:25 and endless skies, basically everywhere you look, 02:30 our planet is filled with beauty but what makes our planet 02:35 truly amazing is that all these wonderful places are literally 02:40 teaming with life. A vast array of flora and forma 02:45 it's estimated that there are around nine million different 02:49 species of plants and animals in existence on our planet 02:52 and we humans are attracted to them. 02:56 Some of them might look cute and cuddly but in fact 03:01 could kill you in mere seconds. 03:04 So, what is the world's most dangerous animal? 03:07 Which one attacks and kills the most humans each year? 03:12 Well, here are the seven deadliest remembering 03:17 that the figures can change from year to year and 03:20 different lists have differing criteria and definitions. 03:24 So lists from different sources disagree and be contentious. 03:31 Coming in at number seven is the king of the jungle the lion 03:39 as the apex predator in Africa lions are one of the worlds 03:42 top predators, humans are not their natural prey 03:46 but each year about 250 people are killed by lions. 03:50 Lions are skilled and powerful hunters that are able to 03:54 bring down large prey like buffalo zebra and giraffe. 03:58 A lion's vision is about six times more sensitive to light 04:03 than humans giving them a distinct advantage when hunting 04:07 at night. Lions can reach speeds of up to 80 km per hour 04:12 in short bursts, that's about twice as fast as the fastest 04:16 Olympic runners. Not only are lions fast, they can also jump 04:21 up to 12 meters. 04:22 So, it's easy to see why the lion is referred to as the 04:27 king of the jungle and it's easy to see why unsuspecting 04:31 and vulnerable humans are no match for these powerful hunters. 04:36 Coming in at number six on our deadliest list is the 04:40 fearsome African Cape Buffalo. 04:42 These huge animals are without doubt one of the most dangerous 04:48 wild animals in the world. 04:49 These aggressive and unpredictable beasts can weigh 04:53 up to 1.5 tons and can grow up to 1.7 meters tall 04:58 and 2.7 meters in length. They have large razor-sharp horns 05:03 that they use to deadly effect they are fearless and will mob 05:08 any predator that dares to attack their young. 05:11 Buffalo usually travel intimidating herds 05:16 sometimes up to 5,000 strong but are one of the few animals 05:21 that will actively stalk and kill humans if alone. 05:24 Buffalo killed an estimated 300 people each year. 05:30 Number five on our list of dangerous animals is the 05:34 enormous elephant. 05:36 They are the largest animals walking on the earth. 05:39 These massive creatures have impressive power and 05:43 lethal strength. They can stand 3 meters tall and 05:48 weigh up to around seven tons giving them fatal skull-crushing 05:52 stomping, and trampling abilities not to mention 05:56 their dagger-like tusks. 05:58 African elephants particularly older bulls and young males 06:03 can be aggressive even when not provoked. 06:06 Elephants kill up to 600 people worldwide each year. 06:11 Most fatalities happen by victims being trampled 06:15 to death. In areas where poaching still occurs 06:19 and the elephant's habitat is in danger, the animals are 06:23 much more aggressive. 06:25 Coming in at number four on our list of deadliest animals 06:30 is the crocodile. 06:32 They are one of the most well-known and fearsome animals 06:37 in the world and are considered an apex predator 06:41 their powerful bodies, strong jaws and immense speed and 06:45 agility along with their unparalleled stealth makes them 06:50 one of the world's most dangerous predators. 06:53 The salt-water crocodile is the largest living reptile 06:57 on earth and can grow over six meters long and weigh 07:01 over a ton. They have the strongest bite force in the 07:05 world and are capable of crunching down with a 07:09 full-weight of a small pick-up truck. 07:12 They are known for their ambush hunting technique and are 07:16 indiscriminate killers and will attack any animal that comes 07:20 within reach and that includes humans. 07:23 Every year over 1,000 people are killed by crocodiles. 07:29 They submerge themselves in water waiting for something 07:33 to come near to the water's edge. 07:35 Their attack usually takes the form of launching themselves 07:39 from the water with a tremendous burst of speed and grabbing 07:43 its victim in its jaws. It then drags them back under the water 07:48 to drown them. Attacks on humans usually when people are walking 07:54 or working or washing close to river banks and lake shores 07:58 and when fishermen are getting in and out of their boats 08:01 or canoes. 08:03 So if you are in crocodile territory beware of the 08:07 silent assassins that lurk beneath dark waters. 08:11 Now coming at number three on our list is the third-largest 08:16 land animal, the hippopotamus. 08:18 Now this is surprising because they are often seen as being 08:22 quiet and peaceful creatures but nothing could be 08:26 further from the truth, they are aggressive and dangerous 08:30 Hippos are the world's deadliest and large land animal 08:34 and are estimated to kill over 3,000 people every year. 08:39 Male hippo's fiercely defend their territories which usually 08:44 includes the banks of rivers and lakes while female hippos 08:48 can get extremely aggressive if they sense anything 08:51 getting in between them and their babies 08:54 who stay in the water while they feed on the shore. 08:57 Hippos weigh up to 11/2 tons and can run in speeds of up to 09:02 30 KM an hour. Combine this with their aggressive nature 09:07 agility in and out of the water and sharp half-meter 09:11 tusks-like teeth and enormous jaws and you can understand 09:16 why hippos can be such a deadly creature to encounter. 09:20 Now we usually tend to think that large and fierce animals 09:24 like lions, tigers, and bears are the most dangerous animals 09:29 on the planet. 09:30 So, it's surprising to find that number two on our list 09:35 of killer creatures is only a few centimeters long 09:38 small but deadly. 09:41 That's certainly true of scorpions, just the mention 09:44 of their name strikes terror in the hearts of many people. 09:48 The venomous sting of a scorpion can be deadly, these creepy 09:53 crawlies kill over 3,300 people every year. 09:58 There are over 1,500 scorpion species worldwide 10:03 and they all posess a venomous sting. 10:06 However only about 30 of them have strong enough poison 10:10 to kill a person. Scorpion venom packs a punch 10:14 and serves to paralyze and kill prey rapidly. 10:18 They generally prey on insects and use their claws or pinchers 10:23 to hold on to their prey to both sting and eat it effectively. 10:28 Scorpions do not aggressively pursue humans, 10:32 most scorpion stings occur when people step on them 10:36 or reach into an area where a scorpion is hiding. 10:40 Now, we come to number one on our list of the seven 10:45 deadliest creatures in the world and that infamous honor 10:49 goes to snakes. 10:50 One of the most feared creatures on the planet and with good 10:54 reason. Globally around five million people are bitten 10:59 by snakes each year with more than 140,000 people dying. 11:05 And for every fatality there are another three to four people 11:09 permanently disabled or dis- figured by their injuries. 11:13 There are more than 3,000 species of snakes on the planet 11:17 and the one that kills the most people is the saw-scaled viper 11:22 that's found in parts of the Middle East, Central Asia, 11:26 and especially in India. These vipers are very dangerous 11:31 and have an extremely potent Toxic Venom Saw Scale Vipers 11:36 are one of the fastest-striking snakes in the world and 11:40 kill more people than all other snake species combined. 11:44 In India alone, it is estimated that they kill over 5,000 people 11:50 every year. The latest research shows that saw-scale vipers 11:55 along with cobras, kraits, and Russel's vipers have killed over 11:59 1.2 million people in India in the past 20 years 12:04 and deadly venomous snakes aren't confined to India. 12:08 Every continent with the exception of Antarctica 12:12 has notorious killer snakes. 12:15 Africa had Puff Adders and Black Mamba's. 12:18 America has Cottonmouth's, Rattlesnakes, and Copperheads. 12:22 Europe has the Asp viper. South America the Bushmaster 12:27 and the Fer-de-Lance. 12:28 Australia has Death Adders, Tiger snakes, King Brown's, 12:33 and Taipans. 12:34 The Inland Taipan is the most venomous snake in the world 12:38 a single bite from one of these impressive reptiles 12:42 has enough deadly venom to kill 100 full-grown men, 12:47 no wonder most people have an innate fear of snakes, 12:51 it's one of our most common phobias. 12:54 So, there you have it the 7 Deadliest animals in the world. 13:00 Although these apex predators and deadly bugs are 13:06 scary killers, the world's deadliest creature year after 13:10 year is actually one closer to home, Humans. 13:15 Every year humans kill each other in the thousands. 13:20 We devote immense amounts of time money and energy in finding 13:26 more efficient and effective ways to kill each other. 13:29 Global military expenditure increased 75% over the past 13:35 20 years, global spending on deadly weapons reached 13:39 record levels last year. 13:41 We specialize in devising better ways to kill people, 13:46 over 1.5 billion people have been killed in wars 13:51 down through history, 13:52 Not only are humans responsible for the most human deaths, 13:57 we also have no problem killing everything from plants 14:01 to animals for our own benefit on a daily basis. 14:05 Our ingenuity to create ways to destroy other species 14:10 and each other definitely puts humans at the top of the list 14:15 of creatures who are very deadly. 14:17 But why? Why do we behave this way? 14:21 Why do we do stupid stuff? We lie, we steal, we cheat, 14:27 we cling to bad habits, we bully, we engage in violence, 14:31 and of course, we kill others. Why? 14:35 Well, it's all due to one thing, it's all explained in one small 14:41 three-letter word sin, that's what's responsible for it all 14:49 that's the root cause. 14:51 So, by far the most dangerous and deadly thing to human 14:55 are not these seven deadliest animals but rather 15:00 the seven deadliest sins which create death, destruction, 15:04 and despair to billions of people around the world. 15:08 Now, what do we mean when we talk about seven deadly sins? 15:13 And in particular, what is sin? Well it has to do with 15:19 contravening the moral principles that govern a person's 15:23 behavior. Sin is basically a religious term that refers to 15:29 deliberately disobeying the rules of God and rebelling 15:33 against Him. 15:34 Here's what the Bible says in 1 John: 3:4. 15:43 God's law, the Ten Commandments show us what is right and wrong. 15:48 God's Law provides principles to live by. 15:52 It provides moral values that govern human behavior. 15:56 Sin is breaking God's law. 16:00 Sin had its beginning with Lucifer in Heaven, 16:04 he was the most beautiful and powerful angel, 16:07 the head angel, but he wasn't content with his position 16:11 he was proud and envious of God, 16:14 he wanted to be higher than God and that was his downfall 16:19 the beginning of sin. He led a rebellion against God, 16:24 there was war in heaven but Lucifer and the angels that 16:28 followed him lost and were expelled from heaven. 16:31 Renamed Satan, he brought sin to the human race 16:36 in the Garden of Eden where he convinced Adam and Eve 16:40 to join his rebellion against God and against God's law. 16:44 Since that time sin has been passed down through all 16:49 the generations of the human race and we Adam's descendants 16:53 have inherited sin from him. 16:55 So now we're all sinners, we think we don't make mistakes 17:01 and do things that are wrong... 17:02 Among the sins we commit are particular sins known as 17:07 the "seven deadly sins"... 17:09 Now the list of the seven deadly sins aren't the deadliest 17:14 sins or worse crimes against humanity, they're rather 17:18 the most familiar, the most common and recurring 17:21 pitfalls or sins we all deal with sooner or later. 17:25 According to Christian tradition the seven deadly sins are 17:37 Each one of these things is mentioned in the Bible 17:40 and virtually every sin can be placed in one of the categories 17:45 of these seven deadly sins. 17:47 And although this actual list of these seven deadly sins isn't 17:52 recorded in the Bible, they are sins we are tempted with 17:55 virtually each and every day. 17:58 These are the sins that we are struggling with regularly. 18:01 So, the big question is, how do we deal with them 18:06 these seven deadly sins? 18:08 Well, the Bible does give us the answer to this question 18:12 it explains how we can deal with and combat the 18:16 seven deadly sins in our lives. 18:18 Firstly, we must recognize that these seven deadly sins 18:24 like all sins are literally deadly. 18:27 The Bible tells us that our sins separate us from God 18:32 and bring death. 18:33 Here's what the Bible says in Romans 6:23... 18:42 Bad news, we're doomed because we've all sinned. 18:48 but here's the good news, God loves us and sent His son 18:53 Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins to die in our place. 18:58 He's our substitute, he's our Savior, and if we accept Him, 19:03 and believe in Him our sins are forgiven and we have 19:07 eternal life. Listen to what the Bible says in John 3:16... 19:22 Because Jesus has paid the penalty for our sins 19:26 our guilt can be healed and our sins forgiven. 19:30 All our sins, even the seven deadly sins, 19:34 isn't that great news? 19:36 Here's what the Bible says in 1 John 1:9... 19:50 Did you notice that? It says all unrighteousness 19:55 or sin, including the seven deadly sins. 19:58 But there's even more good news, when we accept Jesus 20:02 not only are our sins forgiven but He comes into our lives 20:07 and changes us and we literally become a new person. 20:13 God changes us on the inside, He transforms us by giving us 20:18 a new heart. Our old hearts may have been filled with the 20:22 seven deadly sins, filled with pride, envy, anger, greed 20:27 and lust and it may have been filled with sin and lawlessness. 20:30 But God can replace it with a new heart, one that's 20:36 filled with love, peace, and joy. 20:39 Here's what God says in Ezekiel 26, 27... 21:04 On the cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins so that we 21:09 could be given this new heart and He promises that 21:13 if we accept Him, he will give us a new start in life. 21:17 He will take our slate and erase all the mistakes 21:20 we've made, all the evil and sin and replace it with good. 21:25 God wants to see you happy and fulfilled so He takes an 21:30 active role in creating your new heart and brings order 21:34 to the chaos and sadness in our lives. 21:37 And then, everything that we have, the right thinking 21:40 and right living, a clean slate and a fresh heart, 21:44 new hope and new energy all come from God by way of Jesus Christ, 21:50 basically, God gives us a heart like Christ and that's how 21:56 we deal with the seven deadly sins. 21:58 That's how we combat the seven deadly sins in our lives, 22:03 God changes our lives, our hearts, our lives are filled 22:09 with God's Spirit, God takes away the influence of the 22:13 seven deadly sins in our lives and replaces them with the 22:17 fruit of the Spirit. 22:18 Here's what the Bible says in Galatians 5: 22,23... 22:41 So, let's take a look at the Seven Deadly Sins again 22:45 and see how God can change them for good. 22:49 The first of the seven deadly sins are pride, 22:52 an inflated unrealistic sense of your self-worth. 22:56 But God's way is humility, meekness, love for God, 23:02 and love for others. 23:03 The second deadly sin is envy, the feeling that you deserve 23:08 the position, success, virtues, or talents of another person. 23:13 But God's way is love, joy, kindness, thankfulness, and 23:19 compassion. God places the desire to help others 23:23 above the need to supersede them. 23:25 The third deadly sin is anger, an excessive improper desire 23:32 to exact revenge. 23:33 But God's way is peace, gentleness, self-control. 23:39 The fourth deadliest sin is Gluttony. 23:42 An excessive desire for the pleasure of eating and drinking. 23:47 But God's way is self-control, contentment, and patience. 23:53 The fifth deadly sin is Lust. 23:56 A selfish focus on sex or a desire to have sexual pleasure 24:02 with someone other than your spouse. 24:04 but God's way is love, and unselfishness. 24:09 Self-control counteracts lust by controlling passion 24:13 and levering that energy for the good of others. 24:16 The sixth deadly sin is Laziness. 24:20 Lack of effort in the face of a necessary task causing it 24:25 to go undone or to be done badly. 24:27 But God's way is perseverance, diligence, and servanthood. 24:33 Diligence changes laziness by placing the best interest 24:38 of others about the life of ease. 24:40 The seventh deadly sin is Greed. 24:44 A strong desire for possessions especially for possessions 24:48 belonging to another. 24:50 But God's way in generosity and kindness. 24:54 Love cures greed by putting the desire to help others 24:59 above storing up treasure for one's self. 25:02 When we accept Jesus and invite Him into our lives 25:06 He shows, tells, and empowers us to raise our standards.+ 25:11 He encourages us to love others as we love ourselves and to love 25:16 God with all our heart, mind, body, and soul. 25:21 When we fix our eyes on Jesus we will make better choices. 25:26 And Paul the apostle reminds us what the criteria should be 25:31 when making our choices. 25:50 God wants you to be free and happy, now and forever 25:54 and that involves making right choices, 25:57 He wants you to experience the peace and inner-happiness 26:01 that He has planned for your life. 26:03 He wants to protect you not just on the seven deadliest 26:07 animals but also from the even more dangerous seven deadly sins 26:12 Jesus accepts us just as we are and where we are 26:17 but He doesn't leave us there, He changes our lives 26:21 and leads us to a better place. 26:24 If you would like to experience that in your life 26:28 then I'd like to recommend the The free gift we have for all our 26:32 Incredible Journey viewers today. 26:35 It's a popular classic Prophets and Kings 26:39 this book is our gift to you and is absolutely Free. 26:43 I guarantee there are no costs or obligations whatsoever. 26:47 So, make the most of this wonderful opportunity 26:50 to receive the gift we have for you today. 26:54 Phone or text 0436.333.555 in Australia, or 020.422.2042 27:04 in New Zealand or visit our website TIJ.tv or simply scan 27:10 the QR Code on your screen and we'll send you today's 27:13 Free offer, totally free of charge with no obligation. 27:17 Write to us at The Incredible Journey, GPO Box 274 27:21 Sydney NSW 2001, Australia 27:22 or PO Box 76673 Manukau Auckland 2241 New Zealand. 27:31 Don't delay, call or text us now. 27:34 Dear Heavenly Father, Please replace our pride 27:39 envy, anger, gluttony, lust, laziness, and greed 27:43 with the fruit of the spirit and love for you and love 27:46 for others.
