00:14 And Dona Klein at the organ is one of those people
00:19 that God has just given her a gift. 00:28 And over the last two years 00:33 Dona has written now about ten different songs. 00:38 Beautiful songs. And Maddy Couperus is going to 00:42 sing one of those tonight for you. It's entitled 00:45 It Doesn't Matter. 00:59 I had no hope for tomorrow; 01:06 yesterday was dead and gone. 01:12 All my life was filled with sorrow... 01:18 I had no reason to go on. 01:24 Then I found Jesus 01:30 and He changed my life completely. 01:37 Feely forgave me 01:43 and in my heart put a song. 01:50 And it doesn't matter 01:58 where I have been. 02:03 When I gave my heart to Jesus 02:10 then the good life began. 02:17 Has someone left you sad and lonely? 02:24 Alone to face life's raging storm? 02:30 Have you sometimes ever wondered 02:37 why you even were born? 02:43 Come meet my Jesus... 02:50 He will heal your every heartache. 02:57 Tenderly hold you 03:03 in His arms safe and warm. 03:10 And it doesn't matter 03:17 where you have been. 03:24 Come and give Him all your burdens; 03:30 let the good life begin. 03:37 No, it really doesn't matter 03:45 where we have been. 03:51 Casting all our cares upon Him: 03:58 now the good life 04:02 begins. 04:24 Heavenly Father, 04:27 tonight as we look at this great prophecy 04:33 we would like to invite the Holy Spirit 04:36 to be in our presence. 04:39 Lord, may it enlighten our minds. 04:45 We pray, Lord, that our hearts may be open. 04:51 That they may be soft. 04:55 That the Holy Spirit may be able to show us and lead us 04:59 and direct us that we might see 05:03 that Jesus Christ is everything that He claims to be. 05:09 And that each one of us here tonight 05:13 may reach out, 05:17 claim the things that He has done for us. 05:20 For this we ask in Christ's name, Amen. 05:31 I was holding a meeting in the southern part of the US. 05:37 And to this meeting came a couple young ladies. 05:42 One 17 years old... the other 19 years old. 05:46 And after they had been coming to the meeting for about 05:50 two weeks they came up to me after the meeting 05:54 one night and said: "Would you consider 05:57 being a witness for us? " 06:01 And I said: "I don't know what you mean. 06:04 What are you talking about? " 06:05 And they said: "Well, we've got to appear 06:09 before a judge and we would like for you to be 06:13 a character witness for us. " 06:15 And I said: "I still don't understand what's going on. " 06:19 And they said: "Well, we were arrested 06:24 and we need a character witness. " 06:27 And I said: "What were you arrested for? " 06:29 And they said: "Oh, we were arrested 06:31 for dealing drugs. " 06:33 And said: "We would like for you to be a character witness 06:38 for us. " And I said: "Well, I'll tell you what: 06:40 I'll be happy to go to the court with you 06:43 and I'll be happy to tell the judge you've been coming 06:46 to the meetings each night. I'll be more than happy 06:48 to do that. " And they said: "OK...if you'll do that. " 06:51 I said: "I'll be happy to do that. " 06:52 So we went to court. 06:55 A little bit and the judge talked to the girls. 06:58 He said: "I understand you have a character witness. " 07:01 And so called me up 07:02 and I told him that these girls had been coming every night 07:05 to the meetings for about two weeks 07:07 and they have shown an interest in God's Word and all that. 07:11 And the judge said: "Thank you" and he turned to the girls 07:14 and he said: "I'll tell you what. " He said: 07:16 "I'll make it easy on you. " 07:19 He said: "I'll make it easy on you. " 07:22 "You tell me who's selling you the drugs 07:26 and I'll drop everything. " 07:31 And these girls said: "We're not going to tell you 07:34 who's selling us the drugs. " 07:36 And the judge said: "Let me tell you something: 07:41 "If you don't tell me who's selling you the drugs, 07:43 I'm going to throw the book at you. " 07:46 And the girls said: "Well we're not telling you 07:48 who sold... who we bought the drugs from. " 07:52 The judge said: "I'll tell you what: 07:53 I'm going to give you 3 days to think it over. " 07:56 And he said: "In three days I want you back here 07:58 in court and you can decide whether 08:00 you're going to tell me or whether you're not. " 08:03 So we left, and when the girls came to the meeting 08:06 that night I said: "Have you decided what you're going to do? " 08:09 And they said: "Oh, we're not going to tell him. " 08:11 And I said: "That judge is going to let you have it. " 08:15 And they said: "Nah, he's not going to do it. " 08:18 Said: "He's not going to do it. " 08:19 I said: "Let me tell you something: 08:21 that judge is not playing around with you. 08:23 He's going to throw the book at you. " 08:26 They said: "No, he's not going to do anything like that 08:29 and we're not going to tell who we've been buying the drugs 08:32 from. " So in three days we went back to court. 08:35 I went with the girls. 08:37 Judge called them up and said: 08:40 "Who... who have you been buying the drugs from? " 08:43 "Oh, " they said: "Judge, we're not going to tell you. " 08:46 And the judge said: "I'm asking you... 08:49 you tell me who you're buying the drugs from. " 08:52 And they said: "No judge, we're not going to tell you. " 08:54 And I watched... 08:56 I watched as that judge 08:59 sentenced one girl to 17 years in prison 09:03 and the other girl to 25 years. 09:06 I watched the blood drain out of their faces. 09:12 Sobbing, I watched the guards carry them off to prison. 09:18 And I turned to the judge and I said: "Judge, 09:21 do you understand what you've done? " 09:23 And he said: "What do you mean? " 09:25 And I said: "These girls were coming to my meetings! 09:28 There was some chance that maybe they might give 09:31 their heart to the Lord and He could change their life 09:34 and make them different. And now look what you've done! 09:36 You've put them in prison and I can't even get to them. " 09:39 He said: "Oh, I'll solve that. " 09:40 He just wrote out a note and he said: "All you've gotta do 09:42 is show this and they'll let you in any time. " 09:47 So I went in to see the girls. 09:51 To say that they were shook up is to put it mildly, folks. 09:57 And I said: "I told you he was going to do this. " 10:00 I said: "You wouldn't believe me; I told you he was 10:03 going to do this. " I said: "Why don't you tell him? " 10:08 And I don't know where I got the crazy idea, folks, 10:13 but I said: "If these people that are selling you the drugs - 10:17 selling the drugs to you - told you to tell him 10:19 would you tell him? " 10:21 They said: "Ah, they would never do that. " 10:25 And I said: "Let me talk to them. " 10:28 "Let me talk to them. " 10:31 So after this they said: "OK" 10:33 and they wrote out a note. 10:36 Told me where to take that note and who to contact 10:39 and arrangements would be made. 10:42 Well, I took the note and arrangements were made. 10:46 They sent me back a note and said: "We'll meet you 10:48 Tuesday night at Pier 11 at 11 o'clock. " 10:54 I've got to admit one of the scaredist I think I've ever been 10:58 in my life 'cause I waked down Pier 9 there. 11:04 There wasn't a light on... it was pitch dark. 11:08 11 o'clock at night standing there by myself 11:11 scared to death. 11:14 And finally down the pier came these two men 11:18 dressed in business suits. 11:21 I mean nice looking... neat, clean... 11:26 regular businessmen. 11:30 And we had quite a conversation. 11:34 And I finally said to them: "You know, how can you... 11:38 how can you let two girls: one go to prison for 17 years, 11:41 another one go to prison for 25 years. 11:43 How can you do that? " 11:45 So after we talked a while they said: "OK, " 11:49 they said, "You tell the girls they can tell them 11:53 but you can't take this note to the girls for 24 hours. " 11:58 And so I assured them I wouldn't. 12:01 They wrote the note telling the girls to tell them. 12:04 And 24 hours later I took it to the girls. 12:08 The girls told the judge. I'll never forget it. 12:11 Of course, I'm sure those men were gone long by then. 12:15 But what I'm trying to tell you, dear friends, 12:18 is every one of us here tonight - 12:20 I don't care who you are - 12:22 every last one of us here 12:25 are going to have to stand before the judgment bar of God 12:29 for the Scripture tells us that. 12:33 Ecclesiastes 12:14: 12:48 Going to bring it all into judgment. 12:50 It doesn't make any difference. 12:53 And dear friend, let me tell you something: 12:55 it's here! 12:57 It's here during this life. There's not such a thing 13:00 as a second chance. 13:03 That doesn't exist... it's now. 13:06 Take it or leave it... it's your last chance. 13:09 There's not another opportunity. 13:11 For the Scripture makes that clear in the book of Hebrews... 13:14 Hebrews 9:27: 13:25 Scripture is absolutely clear. It says: "It's appointed unto 13:28 men to die once. After that the judgment. " 13:31 What's going to happen then? 13:46 It says very clear man's going to die; 13:49 after that's going to be the judgment. 13:51 Jesus is going to come! 13:54 That's clear; that's what it says. 13:57 So you and I have this time now. 14:01 You don't have some future time... 14:04 you have today. And it says God is going to bring 14:08 EVERY work into judgment. 14:11 Now I've told you. We studied Bible prophecy. 14:17 I've tried to lay a foundation to help you. 14:20 Now you can begin to apply 14:23 some of the things that you have learned. 14:25 Notice what it says here in Daniel the 7th chapter 14:28 and verse 21, OK? 15:06 Did you put some things together? 15:09 It talked about the little horn. 15:11 We studied that little horn. OK? 15:14 And it says that when the little horn came down to an end 15:18 that the judgment would begin. 15:21 That's what it's saying here. 15:22 And in our study of Daniel the 7th chapter 15:25 we identified that little horn as? Papal Rome. 15:31 So it said that as Papal Rome would come to an end 15:37 the judgment would begin. 15:39 And when the judgment came to an end 15:42 the saints would possess the? Kingdom! 15:46 Are you putting it together? 15:48 Step by step that's what the Scripture is saying. 15:50 Well you remember in our study 15:52 Daniel 7:25... listen carefully: 16:01 So it says that little horn, the saints were going to be 16:05 given into his hand for a time, times, and a dividing of time. 16:10 Listen carefully: 16:15 Saints are going to be given into his hand 16:17 for a time, times, and a half a time 16:21 then the court is going to be seated. That means judgment. 16:25 All right? 16:30 When did they take away his dominion, folks? 16:36 Napoleon came in and overthrew it when? 16:40 February 15, 1798. 16:44 Are you putting it together? 16:45 All right... that's when his dominion ended. 16:48 "They shall take away his dominion to consume 16:51 and destroy it forever. " 16:53 Now as we have studied the Scriptures God said 16:56 that He gave us how much? A day for each year. 17:00 That's what He's told us it represents. 17:03 OK. 17:04 Said the saints would be given into his hand for a time, 17:09 times, and a half a time. 17:11 We found out that in Bible prophecy 17:14 a time represented one year. OK? 17:18 That would be 360 days. 17:21 Times would represent 2 years which would be 720. 17:25 And a half a time would be 180. 17:29 If you add those together it gives you 1,260 days... 17:35 each day representing a year. 17:37 We found out in our study that the papal power 17:40 came to power in the year of 538 AD. Right? 17:45 And it says that it was going to be given into his hand 17:49 for 1,260 years. 17:51 If I add 1,260 years to 538 AD 17:56 it takes me to 1798 AD. 18:00 OK... that is the period. 18:02 And it says when that period ended 18:05 the court would be seated. 18:08 Are you with me? 18:10 Now, folks, watch very carefully 18:13 'cause that's Daniel 7. 18:15 We're moving into Daniel 8. 18:17 Watch what begins to happen. 18:39 So it says that this power, this little horn, 18:42 it prospered during the 1,260 years. 18:46 That's what it's saying. 18:47 Now watch... we're Daniel 8. 19:05 He's saying: "How long is this going to go on? " 19:09 Because it said that little horn would prosper, 19:11 it would cast the truth to the ground, 19:13 it would do these things. He said: "How long 19:15 is this going to go on? " Watch: 19:32 All right... now let's put it together. 19:36 He's saying: "How long is this going to go on? " 19:39 It was going to go on for 1,260 years. 19:42 All right? Then he said when that's going to be over 19:46 and then he said there would be 2,300 days 19:51 or 2,300 years. 19:54 When Daniel had this vision in the 8th chapter, folks, 19:57 he didn't understand it. 20:00 Couldn't put it together. 20:02 And you come to the last verse 20:04 of the 8th chapter of Daniel 20:06 and it reads like this: 20:25 Couldn't put it together. 20:27 So in the 9th chapter of Daniel Daniel begins to pray 20:31 that God will help him understand this vision. 20:35 And as Daniel is praying 20:37 asking God to reveal this vision to him 20:40 all of a sudden God sends an angel 20:44 by the name of Gabriel. 21:17 So that angel Gabriel, folks, 21:20 is come to explain this vision to Daniel. 21:23 What vision is he explaining? 21:25 He's explaining this 2,300 days. 21:29 That's what he's explaining. 21:31 So watch, now, as Daniel takes it through. 21:34 And those of you that are here 21:36 who have some questions about Jesus Christ 21:39 being all that He claimed to be 21:41 then I'd like to invite you to follow me very very carefully. 21:49 Daniel 9:24... angel Gabriel speaking to Daniel. 21:53 He says: "Daniel... " 22:00 Who is Daniel's people? 22:04 The Jewish people... that's Daniel's people. 22:07 So he said: "Seventy weeks are determined for your people, 22:12 Daniel. " Now watch: 22:25 How can I know when the prophecy starts? 22:27 The angel Gabriel does not leave you in any doubt 22:31 whatsoever. Listen to these words: 22:33 Daniel 9:25: 22:43 Until what? Messiah. OK. 22:46 Here we go. 22:48 Those of you that are having questions 22:50 about Jesus Christ watch clearly: 22:59 The Jewish people are in captivity. 23:02 They've been in captivity in Babylon; 23:04 they're now in captivity to Medo-Persia. 23:07 And he's told him "When the decree goes forth" 23:11 OK? "for them to go back and rebuild Jerusalem 23:15 unto the Messiah... " 23:28 So he's told him here clearly. 23:30 Said: "Daniel, 70 weeks are determined on your people. 23:33 Understand, Daniel, from the going forth of the commandment 23:38 to restore and build Jerusalem 23:39 unto the Messiah, the Prince, 23:42 will be 69 weeks. " 23:46 That's what the angel Gabriel has just told him. 23:49 OK. When was the decree given 23:53 to restore and build Jerusalem? 23:55 Well, there were three decrees that were given. 23:57 Cyrus gave a decree 23:59 sending them back to re-build the temple. 24:02 Later Darius gave a decree 24:05 which helped them finish building the temple. 24:08 A little later than that a king by the name of Artaxerxes... 24:12 Artaxerxes sent Nehemiah back 24:15 and he re-built the walls and the gates. 24:18 But it wasn't until Artaxerxes made a decree 24:22 that gave to Ezra the right to go back 24:26 and to elect judges and magistrates 24:30 and set Israel back as a nation 24:35 that that decree really went into effect. 24:38 This decree is recorded in Ezra the 7th chapter 24:41 and verse 12. And it says: 25:06 That decree was given by King Artaxerxes, folks, 25:10 in the year 457 BC. 25:15 So you have a starting date. 25:18 That was a decree that was given for them to go back 25:22 and re-build Jerusalem: 457 BC. 25:26 He said from there it would be 69 weeks 25:30 unto the what? Messiah. 25:38 OK... we have a little key that we keep referring to. 25:41 I don't want you to forget it. 25:43 'Cause if we're dealing with 2,300 days 25:46 in Bible prophecy that would be? 2,300 years. 26:02 So that's a principle that's there in Scripture 26:04 telling you that a day represents a year. 26:06 Now let's watch as we see how the Bible puts it together. 26:11 In prophetic Bible prophecy, a prophetic day equals 26:15 one literal year. All right: 26:35 So if I've got 69 weeks 26:38 my starting date is 457 BC. 26:44 OK... here we go. 26:47 457 BC - starting date - so I'm going to put them down. 26:53 Now if I've got 69 weeks... 26:55 right? And how many days are there in a week? 27:01 Seven days in a week. 27:03 So I have to multiply 7 times 69... right? 27:09 If I multiply 7 times 69 27:14 that equals 483. 27:19 Now in BC dates, folks, 27:22 BC dates you subtract. 27:24 AD dates we add, we know, but BC dates you must subtract. 27:28 So I have to subtract 27:30 483 from 457. 27:36 Are you with me? 27:37 If I subtract 483 from 457 27:43 that will take me to the date 27:47 of 27 AD. 27:52 OK? There it is. 27:54 If I subtract 457 from 483 28:00 takes me to 27 AD. 28:02 Now folks, something has to happen. 28:06 Something has to take place. 28:08 Because Daniel has said back here... way back in 500 BC 28:13 he said it's 69 weeks or 483 years 28:17 unto the Messiah the Prince. 28:21 Watch what happens, folks. 28:27 Luke the third chapter verse 1: 28:38 OK... that's Luke the third chapter. 28:40 Watch the third chapter verse 21: 29:05 Are you getting the picture? 29:07 Right there Jesus was baptized; He began His ministry. 29:12 You want to see an interesting fact? 29:25 Dear friend, tonight if you don't believe this Book, 29:28 if you don't believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah, 29:31 answer that for me. 29:34 Answer it for me... tell me how that can be. 29:37 Tell me anybody else - 29:40 anybody else in the whole wide world - 29:43 that fits that time sequence. 29:46 Jesus Christ alone is the only one that fits that time sequence 29:51 and He was born exactly right on time 29:55 and He began His ministry exactly on time! 30:01 There's nobody else. Jesus Christ alone 30:06 is the One that fits that. 30:10 If you're intellectually honest, 30:13 if you're intellectually honest, 30:15 you've got to do something with that. 30:18 You can't see that 30:20 and look at that square in the face 30:23 and say: "Well, all these prophecies about Him being 30:27 the Messiah... " There's over 300 of them 30:28 in the Old Testament... "they don't have any meaning. " 30:33 Indeed they do have meaning, friends. 30:36 He is the Savior of mankind. But let's go on. 30:41 The angel Gabriel has said to Daniel 30:43 how many weeks was determined upon his people? 30:46 Seventy weeks. 30:49 Well, we have looked at 69. 30:54 That's how many we've looked at. 30:55 So if we've looked at 69 weeks 30:58 69 weeks brought us down to 27 AD. 31:03 So I still have one week left. 31:07 Right? You with me? 31:08 "Seventy weeks are determined on your people. " 31:10 We've looked at 69 so that leaves me one week. 31:15 This last week, folks, is extremely important. 31:19 Look at it very very carefully. 31:23 "And he... " Daniel 9:27... 31:39 Now he's speaking of the Messiah here. 31:41 And it says that He would confirm the covenant. 31:47 And by the way, I run onto some people that want to apply that 31:51 to the antichrist rather than Jesus Christ. 31:54 Let me tell you something: there is nowhere in this Book, 31:58 absolutely nowhere in this Book, 32:00 does it ever refer to the antichrist and the covenant. 32:04 The covenant always refers to Jesus Christ. 32:08 Never, never does it ever refer to an antichrist. 32:12 Just does not do that. 32:13 When it says He would confirm the covenant with many 32:16 for one week that can't be talking about anything other 32:19 than Jesus Christ. 32:21 "And He shall bring an end to sacrifices and offerings. " 32:26 Well, let's see what we're going to do. 32:28 We have this seventh week right here... 27 AD. 32:34 Said in the middle of the week 32:37 going to cause the sacrifices and oblations to cease. 32:40 Well, if I've got 7 and I go to half of it 32:44 that's how much? Three and a half. 32:47 So if I go 3-1/2... 32:49 if I go 3-1/2 from 27 AD 32:54 it says that Jesus would bring the sacrifices and oblations 32:59 to an end. Let's see what happens. 33:04 They've taken Christ... they've taken Him out to Golgotha 33:10 and they've hung Him on a cross. 33:13 While He's hanging there on the cross 33:16 down in Jerusalem the high priest - 33:20 or a priest I should say - is about ready to offer 33:24 a sacrificial lamb. Has his hand raised 33:30 to take the life of that lamb when all of a sudden 33:32 this veil, this huge veil that separated the Holy 33:36 and the Most Holy Place, began to tear at the top 33:40 and it tore all the way to the bottom. 33:42 It's recorded here in Mark the 15th chapter verse 38. 33:54 Now dear friends, the famous historian Josephus 33:58 describes that event. And he says when that veil 34:02 tore from top to bottom that that priest 34:06 dropped his knife. And he said he went running out 34:08 of the temple yelling "Ichabod! Ichabod! " 34:11 Which meant that the glory of God 34:14 had departed from the temple. 34:17 Why? Because the Lamb of God had died. 34:21 The sacrifices, oblations, offerings: 34:25 they came to an end. The sacrifice had been paid 34:29 for all mankind. 34:32 No longer... no longer, dear friend, 34:36 do we need to bring a sacrifice. 34:39 He was the sacrifice. 34:42 The whole sacrificial system 34:46 came to an end just exactly as the Scripture declared it would. 34:52 31 AD is when that took place. 34:56 31 AD. 34:59 OK... if I have three and a half 35:05 brought me to 31 AD, 35:07 I still have how much left? 35:10 Three and a half cause we divided seven. 35:13 So I've got 3-1/2. 35:14 So if I add 3-1/2 to 31 AD 35:18 that's going to take me to 34 AD. 35:23 34 AD. 35:29 Do you still have doubts about this Book? 35:32 Do you still have questions about it? 35:35 Are you not convinced yet that you can trust it? 35:41 Not far along enough to say: "Well, 35:45 God will do what He says? " 35:49 If you're that way, then listen. 35:53 He said: "Daniel, seventy weeks 35:56 are determined upon thy people. " 35:58 That seventy weeks, dear friend, came to an end 36:02 in 34 AD. 36:05 Daniel's people were the Jewish people. OK? 36:10 It's going to come to an end 34 AD. 36:15 Now let's watch... watch what happens. 36:21 There's a young man. 36:24 Very articulate. 36:26 Great powers of reasoning. 36:29 And he has gone throughout all of Israel preaching... 36:33 preaching that Jesus Christ IS the Messiah. 36:37 And not only just preaching, folks. He's taking this very 36:40 prophecy... this very prophecy we're talking about tonight... 36:44 and he has explained that with detail 36:47 and showed how that Jesus met every point exactly 36:51 as Scripture said. And his reasoning was so strong 36:55 that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. 36:57 And hundreds and hundreds - a multitude the Scripture says - 37:01 of priests even believed. 37:04 They were accepting Jesus Christ. 37:07 So many were giving their hearts to Christ 37:11 that the Sanhedrin had him arrested. 37:15 They brought this young man in before them 37:18 and they gave him an opportunity to defend himself. 37:24 And he picked up the Scripture 37:26 and he began to take these prophecies and he began to 37:30 explain how Christ fulfilled every one of them. 37:34 And his arguments were so sound, 37:37 his reasoning so right, 37:39 that they couldn't take it. 37:41 In fact, the Scripture says 37:43 that they got to the place that they couldn't stand it 37:45 and they stuck their fingers in their ears. 37:49 And he said to them: "Oh, you uncircumcised of heart! 37:53 How long will you cease to believe? " 37:55 And they grabbed him, and they drug him outside the city. 38:01 They took off their coats 38:04 and they laid them at the feet of a young man 38:07 by the name of Saul of Tarsus 38:10 and they stoned Stephen to death. 38:16 Saul of Tarsus a few days later 38:21 has been called by the high priest Ananias. 38:25 Asked to go down to Damascus 38:27 and to arrest the Christians there. 38:29 He's been given a group of soldiers 38:32 and they've headed for Damascus. 38:35 And as they get within sight of the city of Damascus 38:39 all of a sudden a bright light shines out of heaven 38:43 and it's so bright that it knocks Saul to the ground. 38:46 And a voice speaks and says: "Saul, Saul, 38:49 why persecutest thou Me? " 38:52 And he said: "Who are you, Lord? " 38:54 And He said: "I am Jesus whom you're persecuting. " 38:58 And he said: "What will You have me do? " 39:02 And He said: "Go on to Damascus and it will be shown you 39:05 what you shall do. " 39:07 And they led Saul by the hand - blind - to Damascus. 39:13 God spoke to a man by the name of Ananias 39:17 in Damascus and said: "Go pray for Saul 39:20 that he may receive his sight. " 39:22 He prayed with him and he was given his sight. 39:25 I want you to listen to what it says about Saul of Tarsus. 39:43 You want the date for that? 39:45 34 AD. 39:49 Just exactly as the Scripture said: 39:51 "Seventy weeks are determined upon your people. " 39:54 And when that 70 weeks came to an end in 34 AD 39:57 the gospel went to the Gentiles 40:00 just as God said it would. Dear friend, 40:03 I don't care who you are, 40:05 I don't care tonight if you're an atheist. 40:08 If you're an agnostic, if you're an infidel, 40:14 then all I ask... all I ask of you 40:17 is are you honest? 40:20 Are you intellectually honest? 40:22 If you are, answer those prophecies for me. 40:27 Show me where they don't hold up. 40:31 Tell me how anybody else 40:33 could be the Messiah except Jesus Christ. 40:37 He fulfilled it in every detail. 40:41 But the prophecy doesn't stop there, folks. 40:46 Gabriel's explaining how much? 40:52 You remember... that's what he's explaining. 40:54 So he's not just explaining the seventy weeks. 40:57 He's explaining the 2300. That seventy weeks 41:00 was just part of the 2300. 41:10 So he's explaining more than just seventy weeks. 41:16 OK, if we've got 70 weeks 41:19 and 70 weeks brought us to 34 AD 41:23 then if I subtract... if I subtract 41:30 457 from 2300 41:34 it takes me to 1844 AD. 41:40 That's what I've got left. 41:43 Takes me to the date 1844 AD. 41:53 The cleansing of the sanctuary was known to the Jewish people 41:58 as the day of judgment. 42:01 Also known as the cleansing of the sanctuary. 42:04 Also known as the Day of Atonement. 42:08 OK? 42:10 On this day the high priest 42:14 is going to go into the Most Holy Place. 42:17 He's going to appear into the presence of God... 42:21 before God and the mercy seat... 42:23 to plead and bear the sins of the children of Israel. 42:29 OK. That was known as the day of judgment. 42:35 OK? Known as the day of judgment. 42:39 Listen very carefully to what the book of Revelation says. 42:53 Now folks, it does not say 42:55 is coming. 42:58 It doesn't say that... it says the hour of God's judgment 43:02 "has come. " 43:04 OK? That's present tense. 43:06 HAS come. Let's look at another text. 43:10 Revelation 22 verse 10: 43:21 Follow very carefully now: 43:45 What do you think that's talking about? 43:48 That's judgment! 43:50 That's what it's talking about: judgment. 43:53 "He who is righteous let him be righteous still; 43:56 he who is holy let him be holy still. " 43:58 That's judgment. Listen... it doesn't stop here: 44:13 Now dear friend, let me ask you something: 44:15 If Jesus brings His reward with Him, 44:19 then doesn't man have to have been judged? 44:22 You see, you can't very well pass out reward 44:27 and have the judgment later. 44:30 That wouldn't work! 44:31 So judgment has to have taken place. 44:35 So what the Scripture is trying to tell you 44:38 is judgment began in 1844 AD. 44:44 Did you put it together? I hope so. 44:48 Speaking of the little horn. 44:50 It says his dominion would be taken away from him. 44:54 It was taken away from him when? 44:56 1798 AD. 44:58 And it says that after his dominion was taken away 45:01 from him the court would be seated. 45:05 That means judgment would begin. Judgment began in? 45:09 1844 AD. Are you putting it together? 45:11 See how those prophecies all fit? 45:13 They dovetail together, dear friends. 45:36 Now I don't know... I don't know where you are, 45:40 dear friend. I don't know spiritually 45:43 where you are, but let me tell you something: 45:47 the little horn, it's dominion was taken away from it. 45:51 That's past. 45:53 1844 AD the judgment started. 45:57 It's been going on all this time. 45:59 Do you know what's next? 46:01 The saints are going to possess the kingdom. 46:06 Are you beginning to see where you are? 46:08 Beginning to understand where we are in the stream of time? 46:11 That's what it's telling you. 46:23 That's the time you are living in: 46:26 God's judgment hour. When that judgment 46:29 in heaven ends Jesus Christ is coming back. 46:34 That's what's happening. 46:35 That's what's going on. 46:37 So you've got 2,300 years. 46:40 That 2,300 years is broken into different parts 46:44 that began in 457 BC... 46:48 457 BC is when Artaxerxes gave a decree 46:52 that the Jewish people should go back 46:54 and they became a nation. 457 BC. 46:56 And he said from that point 70 weeks were determined upon 47:00 Daniel's people which was the Jewish people. 47:02 If you went 70 weeks or 490 years 47:06 from 457 BC it'll take you to 34 AD. 47:11 But he said: "Know therefore and understand 47:14 that from the going forth of the command to restore 47:16 and build Jerusalem unto Messiah the Prince 47:18 shall be seven weeks three score and two weeks. " 47:21 So he broke up that 70 weeks 47:23 and he gave the 69 weeks unto the Messiah the Prince. 47:26 So if you come 69 weeks or 483 years 47:31 from 457 BC it will take you to 27 AD 47:35 at which time Jesus was baptized, began His ministry. 47:40 Then it said He would "confirm the covenant with many 47:43 for one week and in the midst of the week 47:46 He would cause the sacrifice and oblations to cease. " 47:49 So that 70th week 47:52 is broken up into two parts. 47:54 Three and a half... that was the time of Christ's ministry 47:59 from 27 AD to 31 AD. 48:02 Christ dies in 31 AD. 48:04 The sacrifices and oblations came to an end. 48:07 The Lamb of God died. 48:09 The last 3-1/2 weeks was from 31 AD to 34 AD 48:14 at which time the gospel went to the Gentiles. 48:19 That brings us to 34 AD. 48:21 If I subtract 490 from 2300 48:27 that leaves me 1810. 48:30 If I add 1810 to 34AD 48:35 that takes me to 1844 AD... at which time the Scripture says 48:40 judgment would begin. 48:43 Now I want to share some good news with you tonight 48:45 about the judgment. 48:48 Dear friend, if you don't understand this, 48:52 if you can just get hold of this one fact... 48:55 if you can just believe this one fact 48:58 what a difference it'll make. Listen: 49:14 Marvelous! 49:16 What more can you ask? 49:19 I mean, Jesus is the Judge. 49:23 But dear friends, more than that 49:25 He's not just the Judge... 49:27 He is also your representative. 49:31 And He came and took upon Himself humanity. 49:35 He lived like you; He understands our weaknesses. 49:38 Marvelous! 49:52 Tonight do you want everlasting life? 49:58 Or maybe you're... maybe you're happy with this old world? 50:05 But if you'd like to have everlasting life, 50:10 all you have to do tonight is to believe... 50:14 believe in Jesus Christ. 50:17 Accept Him; give your heart to Him. 50:21 Surrender your life to Him. 50:23 He'll give you eternal life, and listen to this now, folks... 50:28 listen to this: 50:36 Marvelous! 50:38 You know what that's saying? 50:40 That's saying that judgment's going on up in heaven tonight. 50:45 That started in 1844 AD; it's been going on. 50:48 And it says that if you've given your heart to Jesus Christ 50:52 and your name comes up in the judgment 50:54 do you know what happens? 50:56 Jesus stands up and says: "Father, I will represent 51:00 this person. " Amen! 51:02 "You see, Father, this person has accepted Me... 51:07 therefore I will represent him. " 51:10 Now let me tell you something: 51:12 if Jesus Christ accepts your case, 51:17 you can't lose. Amen! 51:21 See? Marvelous! 51:24 Said: "I will plead My blood on behalf of this person, Father. " 51:29 "I died for that individual. " 51:32 "I lived a perfect life for him. " 51:35 "Father... accept him. " And you know what the Scripture says? 51:39 It says in Ephesians that God accepts you 51:43 because of His Son. Amen! 51:45 Now He doesn't accept you 'cause you're good looking. 51:49 Or He doesn't accept you because you're smart. 51:53 See? He accepts you because of His Son Jesus Christ. 51:58 Says: "Father, accept him. " And the Father says: 52:01 "Because You died for him I'll accept him. " 52:05 That's what He does for you and for me. 52:09 The Bible says there's several books that are used 52:11 in the judgment. 52:13 One of the books that's used in the judgment 52:15 is called the Book of Life. 52:17 Marvelous book: Book of Life. 52:22 Do you know what you've gotta do to get your name 52:23 in the Book of Life? 52:25 Huh? 52:30 Oh... just be good? 52:32 Will that get your name in the Book of Life? 52:35 No... you've gotta accept Jesus Christ. 52:38 This is what the Scripture says about it: 52:52 So when a person accepts Jesus Christ 52:56 as his personal Savior your name is entered 53:00 in the Book of Life. 53:03 That's what gives Jesus the right to represent you. 53:07 When your name comes up in the judgment 53:09 they look in the Book of Life and they say: "Oh, there's 53:11 a name right here. " And Christ can step up and say: 53:13 "Father, I plead My blood on behalf of this person. " 53:27 OK... there's two other books. 53:29 Another book called the Book of Remembrance. 53:33 You may not have known about that book. 53:35 You see, the Book of Remembrance 53:38 all the good things that you do 53:41 are recorded in the Book of Remembrance. 53:43 Listen: 54:02 So it says all the good things that you and I do 54:06 are written down in the Book of Remembrance. 54:10 That's nice to know, isn't it? 54:12 Every good deed you do. 54:15 Every good word you say. 54:17 Every person you help. 54:19 That's all recorded in the books of heaven. 54:22 I don't have time to get into it tonight 54:25 but do you know that every last one of you here - 54:28 I mean every last one of you - 54:31 whether you like it or whether you don't 54:33 do you know that every one of you have an angel? 54:37 And that angel keeps records. 54:39 That's what he does, OK? 54:42 There's another book that's used. 54:46 That book is called the Book of Iniquity. 54:49 That's where all the sins, all the bad things 54:55 that you and I do, are recorded. 54:57 This is what it says: 55:12 So all the bad... all the bad things that we do... 55:17 written down... recorded. 55:21 You see, I used to believe 55:24 that when you got to the judgment 55:26 they opened up the Book of Remembrance 55:29 and they opened up the Book of Iniquity 55:31 and if your good outweighed your bad you made it. 55:35 But that's not the way it is. 55:37 That's not the way it is. 55:39 You see, there's something in the Bible called 55:43 justification. 55:46 That when you accept Jesus Christ 55:48 it says that He "remembers your sins no more. " 55:55 See? And all the things that you and I have in the Book 55:59 of Iniquity... wiped out! 56:03 Remembered no more! 56:07 Now, if there's some of you here tonight 56:10 who like the fellow said to me, we were talking about 56:13 the judgment and he said: "Well... " he said, 56:15 when I get to heaven and to the judgment, " 56:17 he said, "I'm going to ask for justice. " 56:21 Not me. 56:23 I don't want justice... I want mercy. 56:26 Amen! See... I don't want justice. 56:29 I want mercy. 56:30 And so I want Jesus Christ's blood 56:34 to be in my place. 56:36 I want Him to cover all my sins. 56:39 I don't wanta have to face it 'cause I KNOW what I deserve. 56:42 Don't have any question about that. 56:45 This is what God will do for you: 57:06 So it says: "If you sin, you can come to Christ. " 57:10 He's your Advocate... He'll plead your case. 57:21 Let me tell you quickly 57:23 what your responsibility and my responsibility is. 57:29 Your responsibility, dear friend, 57:32 is to accept Jesus Christ. 57:35 That's your part is to accept Him. 57:38 And every morning when you get up 57:41 to commit your life to Jesus Christ. 57:45 Then He will do His work in your life. 57:49 See? But I must every day commit my life to Jesus Christ. 57:54 If I do that, He'll work in my life. 58:07 So tonight Jesus Christ is willing to confess your name 58:11 before His Father and the holy angels. |
