00:34 Hi, boys and girls.
00:35 I'm so glad that you've joined us
00:37 for some fun in the kitchen.
00:40 And I have some special helpers today.
00:43 I have Mr. Seth. Hi.
00:46 I have Mr. Carter. Hi!
00:49 I have Miss Christiana. Hi!
00:51 And I have Miss Summer. Hi!
00:54 And, boys and girls, I am so excited today.
00:57 I had so much fun creating this recipe.
01:01 You know why?
01:02 Why? Why?
01:03 It has my favorite nut in it.
01:06 What do you think my favorite nut is?
01:08 Peanuts. Oh, you're right.
01:12 The name of this recipe I decided would be
01:17 little nutter butters.
01:19 What do you think of that?
01:21 'Cause they are like this?
01:23 Yeah, well.
01:24 Umm, not like that, but they're little like this.
01:28 Oh.
01:31 Does that sound good? Mm-hmm.
01:34 Okay, let's get started.
01:36 You girls can share a bowl and you boys can share a bowl.
01:39 How about that?
01:40 Now I have...
01:42 I've already measured everything
01:44 so all you have to do is pour it in.
01:47 But I'm going to tell the boys and girls what we put in it.
01:50 Because what am I looking at down here?
01:53 A recipe.
01:55 What's a recipe?
01:57 It tell you how much to put everything
01:59 and tells you what to put in.
02:00 That's right.
02:02 But why do I have to follow a recipe?
02:06 Because otherwise it won't taste good.
02:08 And if you get too much of something down,
02:10 it affects the taste or something,
02:12 it won't taste same either.
02:13 That's right.
02:14 So, boys and girls, you have to be very careful
02:16 to follow the recipe.
02:18 And for this one we're going to put in
02:21 a half a cup of melted margarine,
02:24 two cups of creamy peanut butter.
02:27 So you know what we'll get started.
02:29 I want to put the margarine in last.
02:31 So you want to put the peanut butter in.
02:34 And then we're going to have
02:38 three cups of ground,
02:42 really fine graham cracker crumbs.
02:46 You know what, Christiana,
02:47 do you want to hold the bowl while Summer,
02:49 let's work as a team.
02:50 You hold the bowl. Good job.
02:53 And then you guys use your spatulas.
02:55 See, boys and girls,
02:57 how they're using their spatulas.
02:59 Spatulas are so nice when you want to get
03:03 all your ingredients out of your bowl.
03:06 Spatulas work wonderful. And you can just...
03:11 Yes, get it scrape it on the side, Carter,
03:13 and that way you can get it all out.
03:17 That looks so good
03:20 'cause this has peanut butter in it,
03:22 it has chopped peanuts in it.
03:26 They're all your favorite.
03:29 Mine. Good job.
03:30 Okay, now, Christiana and Seth,
03:34 you can put in our three cups of graham cracker crumbs.
03:39 Okay.
03:41 And what we did was we bought some graham crackers
03:45 and ground them up in our blender.
03:48 Miss Cinda, we poured in all? Yes, put it all in.
03:51 Then it's going to take
03:54 three-fourths cup of your ground peanuts.
04:00 And then it's going to take maple syrup.
04:05 Yeah, go ahead, but you can put it in.
04:07 Maple syrup and then put it in your margarine.
04:10 Okay, here, Seth, you can put in your margarine.
04:13 Look how easy this is, boys and girls.
04:17 You can put your bowl right in there.
04:19 And I have towels for you too so you can clean your hands.
04:23 Okay and put your margarine in.
04:26 Here, Christiana, put the margarine in.
04:29 There you go. Good.
04:32 And I have extra peanuts here.
04:34 Do you know I have extra peanuts here?
04:36 Why? Why?
04:37 Because I'm gonna eat them while I'm watching them mix.
04:43 Do you think that's really why I have them.
04:44 No. No.
04:46 We're gonna sprinkle them on top.
04:49 But I might sneak a couple.
04:53 So the birds don't eat them.
04:54 'Cause I love peanuts.
04:57 Also the birds don't eat them.
04:58 Miss Cinda, I love peanuts.
05:01 You do, Seth. Me too. I like all the nuts.
05:04 Oh, good.
05:06 Okay, now mix it up really good.
05:08 You want to mix it, be very careful
05:10 while you're stirring it.
05:11 Mix it up really good, okay.
05:16 You want to get all that peanut butter mixed in.
05:21 Or you're going to have to use muscles.
05:23 I got strong.
05:25 You're strong, Seth. You can do it.
05:27 Yeah, I'm strong enough, I can do it...
05:29 It already smells good.
05:32 So I think I'm strong enough to do.
05:36 And you, guys, when you're mixing hold your bowl.
05:39 Carter, help him hold the bowl.
05:40 And use your spatula to get your sides
05:43 and get all the stuff off the top.
05:44 Let me help you.
05:46 Look, you go like this, get your spatula clean,
05:49 go all the way around like this, Carter.
05:52 Now, look, Carter, look, see that.
05:56 And then you can scrape it off.
05:59 Actually I think this work a little bit better.
06:02 Do you think that works better?
06:05 You guys, you can use your wooden spoons.
06:07 I have it both for you.
06:08 So whatever you prefer you can use.
06:12 You can use the wooden spoon or the spatula.
06:14 But you need to get it all mixed up good.
06:17 Miss Cinda, I think we have all ours mixed up.
06:20 Well, you know what?
06:21 These are glass bowls so look what we can do.
06:25 I don't think so.
06:27 What do you think, boys and girls,
06:29 look at the bottom of that.
06:30 You think they have that all mixed up?
06:33 I don't think so.
06:35 Look at all that how to run the bottom.
06:38 Can you move my hair? Look at that.
06:41 Oh, look at all that.
06:43 You just thought you had it mixed up.
06:45 Look, get all those crumbs mixed up with the liquid.
06:51 Okay.
06:56 Miss Cinda, there are crumbs out.
06:59 There's crumbs out, but that's okay, Seth.
07:01 Just sprinkle them back in. Yup.
07:03 And you know what?
07:04 It's okay if we have a mess.
07:06 You know why?
07:07 We'll have fun cleaning it up.
07:11 How's yours?
07:13 Is yours all the way mixed up?
07:15 Let me see if you have any...
07:17 Oh, you guys got a little bit of powder left.
07:20 You girls are actually doing very good.
07:23 Let's get it.
07:25 Little bit more, Christiana, get a little bit more.
07:30 And get your sides really good.
07:32 So, boys and girls, when you're mixing it up
07:33 you want to make sure you get all those dry ingredients
07:37 all mixed up together,
07:39 you're going to have it real thick.
07:41 Oh, you think you have it.
07:43 Oh, let me check.
07:45 Let me check, Carter.
07:46 You have a castle flag.
07:48 Oh, you're waving the flag saying that you're all done.
07:55 That's pretty creative.
07:58 Okay, you know what?
07:59 I think you are pretty close.
08:02 So now let's clean off your spoons and your spatula.
08:05 So, boys and girls, you don't want to waste
08:07 all these yummy ingredients,
08:09 you want to scrape off your spoon
08:12 and then scrape off your spatula.
08:15 You, girls, how you doing over there?
08:16 Great.
08:18 Okay, I think you have it,
08:19 you can scrape off your spoon and your spatula.
08:22 And then we're going to make them into
08:25 little tiny muffin tins.
08:29 So, Carter, you work on this side.
08:32 You guys work on this side
08:34 and fill the muffin tins with paper.
08:36 And be really careful
08:38 because they stick together.
08:42 So you need to make sure you get them...
08:44 See it, look at Christianity, there's like
08:46 a whole bunch of those in there.
08:49 That's good, Summer.
08:51 Still see if you can fill everyone
08:53 'cause I think we have plenty to fill all those.
08:57 In fact, we're probably going to use
08:59 another whole muffin tin.
09:03 Can I have some?
09:05 Good job, guys.
09:06 I'm starting with the purple.
09:08 You starting with the purple?
09:12 Okay, I'm going to wipe all this off for you.
09:16 There you go.
09:19 You guys are so good in the kitchen.
09:21 Who wants to be in the kitchen? Me!
09:24 Okay, I'll try another one.
09:27 Oh, you know what... Oh, there you go.
09:29 I don't have the other one.
09:30 So now what you guys gonna do, get your spoons,
09:33 and let me show you what you're going to do.
09:35 Can I borrow one of your spoons?
09:37 Can I borrow your spoon, Carter.
09:39 So you're going to take a spoonful
09:41 and you're going to put in the bottom like this.
09:43 I'll do a middle one since I can reach a middle one.
09:46 You're going to put it in the bottom like that
09:48 and then you're going to press it down,
09:50 real gently press it down.
09:52 Okay. Okay.
09:54 So, Christiana, we're doing these ones.
09:55 You guys are doing this half,
09:57 you boys are doing this half, okay.
09:59 And you know what, Seth,
10:01 you can come over here where Miss Cinda stands.
10:03 So let's put this bowl like this, Carter.
10:05 Here, you can come over here, Seth.
10:06 So we're gonna get these ones here...
10:08 That way you can get in.
10:09 Summer, do you want to come over too or can you reach?
10:11 I can reach. Okay, good job.
10:15 Isn't this fun?
10:17 Has anybody tasted it?
10:19 There's no egg in there
10:21 so you can taste it if you want.
10:28 She is good. Do you like it?
10:31 And when you get that all in there,
10:34 you got to pat it down, you guys, pat it down.
10:36 Miss Cinda, can we use our hands?
10:38 Sure, you can use your fingers, you wash your hands
10:40 before you came in the kitchen, so.
10:43 We all we start with clean hands, don't we?
10:47 You got peanut butter on your arm.
10:52 So you can pat it down.
10:54 Just roll gently pat it down.
10:56 And then, boys and girls, what we're going to do is
10:58 we're going to put him in the refrigerator,
11:00 and let him get cold.
11:02 Miss Cinda, why do we keep him cold?
11:03 Well, because they'll firm up
11:05 and then guess what we're gonna do?
11:07 Miss Cinda's melted some carob on the stove
11:11 and we're gonna drizzle carob over them.
11:16 And I have some that I've already made ahead of time
11:19 so they're in the refrigerator all ready for you to drizzle.
11:22 So hurry up
11:24 because you guys are going to get to drizzle them with carob.
11:28 Oh, doesn't that look good.
11:31 Oh, you're almost done.
11:33 Okay.
11:36 Good job.
11:38 Miss Cinda, we're really close that's been done.
11:41 Boys and girls, they're almost done.
11:44 Look, don't they look good?
11:47 Oh, you're gonna have to try these
11:50 'cause they're delicious.
11:53 Okay, you guys done? Pat 'em down.
11:56 I got one that still needs a little bit more.
11:59 Okay. Good job.
12:01 Okay, I'm gonna take these and put them in the fridge.
12:05 Oh, that's our kitchen timer. We have to hurry.
12:08 Okay, you guys wipe your hands off
12:11 because I'm gonna switch trays for you.
12:15 And look I'm gonna let you
12:17 drizzle on with chocolate, okay.
12:19 So I'm gonna put him right here,
12:21 and I'm gonna take this
12:24 and I'll actually set this on a towel.
12:28 Let me set it on... Can you move this, Carter?
12:30 Let me set it on the towel right there.
12:32 Okay, what you guys are going to do?
12:34 Seth, you can go stand right where I am,
12:36 and let me show you what you're gonna do.
12:38 Now don't touch the pan because it's hot.
12:40 All right.
12:42 But you can use the spoons you were using
12:45 or here's a couple of these.
12:46 Here's what you gonna do.
12:48 You're gonna take the carob,
12:51 and then you're gonna go like this.
12:53 You're gonna just put some on the top, okay
12:56 and then you're going to sprinkle that
12:58 with chopped nuts.
13:00 So you guys can come over here
13:01 and spread apart a little bit...
13:04 Carter, move over, let him in.
13:06 And I'll move this over.
13:08 And while you're doing that I've made some
13:12 so you guys can taste
13:14 'cause we'll put those back in the refrigerator
13:16 and let them harden.
13:21 Is this fun? Yeah.
13:23 Look what I made.
13:25 Whoa! This is good.
13:28 You guys are gonna get to try on.
13:31 Boys and girls, don't those look delicious.
13:37 Can you get it?
13:38 Okay, get this one too, Christiana.
13:41 Oh, Christiana likes a lot of carob on hers,
13:43 don't you?
13:49 Who wants to try one? Me.
13:52 Oh, that's our kitchen timer.
13:54 That's all the time we have for now,
13:55 boys and girls.
13:57 But remember, anytime you can be in the kitchen,
14:01 it's fun.
