Each one of you guys, right? 08:10 I think Ben was even playing the piano a little earlier, 08:12 right? 08:14 Every single one of us has a gift, 08:15 and everyone's a little bit different. 08:17 That's pretty cool. 08:18 God has even given me some gifts. 08:21 Would you like to see some of them? 08:23 Okay, I'm going to go over to the piano now, okay? 08:26 I'll play something for you guys. 08:30 All righty. 08:32 Okay, let's see. What should I play? 08:35 Oh, I know what I can play. I've got three oranges. 09:14 You know what I'm going to do with these three oranges? 09:16 I'm not going to eat them, maybe later, I'll eat them, 09:18 maybe that's my talent, eating oranges. 09:21 I'm going to juggle these three oranges. 09:25 Now you know how juggling works, right? 09:27 I've got to keep 09:28 all three of these oranges moving, 09:30 but I only have two hands, I don't have three hands. 09:33 Do you guys have three hands? 09:34 No. No. 09:35 I only have two hands. Let's see if I can do this. 09:38 You guys ready? Here we go. 09:44 Wasn't that cool? Yeah, that's a talent. 09:48 Now here's a question for you. 09:49 Can I use this talent to give glory to God? 09:53 Yeah. 09:54 Maybe I can go to the hospital where the children are 09:57 and do a show for them and talk to them about Jesus. 09:59 Right? 10:00 There's lots of different things we can do 10:02 with every single talent we've been given. 10:05 Here's another talent that I think that God gave me. 10:08 I think God has given me the gift of languages. 10:13 Yeah, 'cause right now 10:14 we're speaking in English, right? 10:15 I can say, "Hey, boys, how are you guys doing?" 10:18 But I can also say it in Spanish. 10:20 Hola, ninos, como estan? 10:23 And I can also say it in French. 10:24 Bonjour, mes amigo, comment allez-vous? 10:27 I speak three different languages, 10:29 and I'd sure love to learn even more. 10:31 So it's kind of cool 10:33 how God has given each one of us talents, 10:35 but it's very important that we use them. 10:41 It's like getting a gift, 10:42 and then putting it under the bed 10:44 and never using it. 10:46 Wouldn't that be kind of strange? 10:47 It's like our gift over here of light. 10:49 What would happen if it's really dark at night, 10:52 and I think, 10:53 "I got this wonderful light as a gift. 10:56 You know what I'm gonna do? 10:57 I'm going to go over here and cover it up... 11:04 so nobody can see the light." 11:06 Is that the good thing to do with a light? 11:08 No. What's the point? 11:09 The poor light can't do its talent, 11:12 which is to shine, 11:13 light all over the world for everyone to see. 11:16 We want the light to shine, so everybody can see, 11:19 just like the talents that God has given us are the same. 11:23 There are things that He wants us 11:25 to let everybody see, 11:27 but the important part, when we use our talents, 11:31 who do we want to give the glory? 11:33 To God. That's right. 11:35 We have to be careful 'cause there's a lot of people 11:37 out there that have wonderful talents, 11:39 and they could do many different things, 11:41 but sometimes they get a little confused, 11:42 and they think that they should get the glory. 11:45 No way. 11:46 God gave us the talents, 11:48 so we should give God the glory. 11:50 Does that make sense? Yeah. 11:52 And the cool thing is there's a version of Bible 11:54 that says, "If God gives you a talent, 11:56 and you use it," 11:57 guess what He's going to do, 11:59 "He's going to give you more." 12:01 That'll be cool, right? 12:03 Having a bunch of different talents, 12:04 and if you use those, 12:05 He'll give you more, 12:07 and He'll give you more and more. 12:08 So I hope you guys always use the talents 12:11 that God has given you. 12:13 Oh, thank you, Mr. Rich. 12:17 Boys and girls, tell me what you've learned today. 12:21 That if you have a talent, we need to share it. 12:25 That's right. 12:26 So if you're maybe visiting a sick person, 12:29 and your mom says, 12:31 "Carter and Christiana, 12:33 would you sing a song for this little lady?" 12:36 what'd you do? 12:38 You sing it, don't you? 12:39 Because that's what we do. 12:41 Jesus wants us to share our talents. 12:44 Let's have a prayer right now. 12:46 Joshua, could you have a prayer for us? 12:48 Let's sing our prayer song. 12:51 I will bend my knees I will fold my hands 12:59 I will bow my head I will close my eyes 13:06 And very, very quiet be 13:11 While the prayer is said 13:18 Thank you, Jesus, 13:21 for sharing our talent. 13:24 Amen.
