00:10 Calling us to meet 00:12 With our best friend Jesus 00:16 Come and worship here 00:18 Jesus will be near 00:20 Smiling when He sees us 00:28 Worship bells are sweet 00:30 Calling us to meet 00:32 With our best friend Jesus 00:35 Hello and welcome to our Tiny Tot Worship. 00:38 We're so happy that you've joined us. 00:41 And you know what? 00:42 Jesus is happy that you've joined us, too. 00:45 It makes Jesus so happy 00:47 when we take the time to spend with Him. 00:50 And, oh, you're gonna be happy you joined us today, 00:53 boys and girls. 00:54 We have a really special program. 00:56 We have a special guest, 00:58 all the way from the state of Washington, 01:01 Mr. Ben Neuharth. 01:04 Welcome, Mr. Ben. 01:06 Miss Cinda, you know I'm a tiny tot. 01:11 Yes. 01:13 I do, Mr. Ben. 01:15 And you know, boys and girls, 01:17 we're going to have so much fun today. 01:20 And maybe when you have your family worship next time, 01:24 maybe you could do what Ben's going to do today. 01:27 Ben's going to tell a story for us. 01:29 Boys and girls, you can tell stories, too. 01:32 You're gonna love Ben's story, I know. 01:35 But first, let's have a prayer and ask Jesus to be with us. 01:40 Jasmine, would you have a prayer for us? 01:42 Yeah. 01:44 Okay, let's bow our heads and close our eyes. 01:45 Dear Jesus, thank You for this day 01:48 and please be with us while we're worshiping. 01:53 Amen. 01:54 Amen. 01:56 Well, today, boys and girls, we're going to be talking about 01:59 getting ready for Jesus to come. 02:02 I can't wait for Jesus to come. 02:04 How about you? 02:06 Well, let's say our memory verse together. 02:08 I'll say it first and then you all say it with me, okay? 02:12 Matthew 25:13. 02:15 Matthew 25:13. 02:18 "Watch therefore..." 02:20 "Watch therefore..." 02:22 "For you know neither the day nor the hour..." 02:26 "For you know neither the day nor the hour..." 02:30 "In which the Son of Man cometh." 02:34 "In which the Son of Man cometh." 02:38 None of us know when Jesus is coming, do we? 02:42 No, so we need to be ready. 02:45 First, let's sing a song. 02:47 "I want to be ready when Jesus comes". 02:51 I want to be ready 02:54 when Jesus comes 02:58 I want to be ready 03:02 when Jesus comes 03:05 I share Jesus' love 03:09 while I'm waiting for Him 03:13 Lord, keep me till 03:16 Jesus comes 03:21 And before we hear Mr. Ben's story, 03:24 we have a special. 03:26 We have Luke and Jasmine and Nicole 03:28 are going to play some violins for us, 03:32 and I love violin music. 03:34 In fact, I love all instruments. 03:38 Music just makes me want to sing 03:40 and praise the Lord. 04:40 Thank you. 04:42 Okay, come, sit down. 04:43 Ben has a story for us today. 04:47 Okay, Ben. 04:50 Once upon a time, there was an old, old hermit 04:54 that lived up on a Sabbath Mountain. 04:56 Now does any of you know what a hermit is? 04:59 Is it like a hermit crab? 05:00 No, not exactly. 05:03 What's it like? 05:04 A hermit is a person who doesn't want to... 05:08 Who doesn't like to live with other people. 05:11 So one time, 05:13 this hermit was sitting among the weeds 05:18 when he heard a horse coming up the path. 05:24 Cloppity, cloppity-clap 05:26 And he looked and it was a king, 05:28 and the king came 05:30 and he tied his horse to a post, 05:33 and then he came and said, 05:35 "Thank you so much, my friend hermit. 05:38 Now may I please have a glass of water?" 05:42 The poor old hermit was so ashamed of himself, 05:45 he hung his head and wondered what to do. 05:49 But while he did, the king went away. 05:54 "The king would come again," said the hermit. 05:55 "He said he would, and I must get ready for him." 05:58 So he went to his well and cleaned out his well, 06:01 and then he went and got his cup 06:05 and cleaned out his cup, and then he saw some wood, 06:08 and went to town and brought some poles, 06:11 and then he bought a nice mattress and a blanket 06:14 and made nice new bed. 06:17 Then he went... 06:21 He saw some more wood, 06:22 and went to town and sold that wood 06:24 and bought some more bread, 06:26 and he saw some more wood, 06:29 and built a little porch in front. 06:34 And then he waited for the king to come again. 06:39 One time, he heard the same footprints 06:42 coming up the hill. 06:43 Cloppity, cloppity, cloppity, cloppity, cloppity-clop. 06:46 And he looked, and it was the king. 06:48 And he went and met the king. 06:50 And the king came and sat on the stool 06:53 and drank the water and ate the bread, 06:56 and he stayed with the hermit, 06:59 and he talked with the hermit, 07:02 and he stayed with him. 07:05 So does that teach us a lesson today? 07:09 I think, boys and girls, does that teach us a lesson? 07:11 Mm-hmm. What does it teach you? 07:13 Always be prepared for Jesus. 07:15 Yeah. 07:16 Very good. Mm-hmm. 07:19 Ben, thank you. 07:21 I liked that story. 07:24 And you're right. 07:25 Boys and girls, we do need to be ready for Jesus to come. 07:29 We don't know when Jesus is going to come. 07:32 Jesus could come today, He could come tomorrow, 07:36 but just like the hermit, 07:38 we need to make sure every day 07:41 that we're ready for Jesus to come. 07:43 Now let me ask you, boys and girls. 07:46 How do we get ready for Jesus to come? 07:49 What do we do? 07:50 By preparing our hearts for Jesus. 07:52 We will prepare our hearts, 07:54 but how do we prepare our hearts? 07:56 Spending time reading the Bible. 07:58 That's right. 07:59 Spending time reading the Bible. 08:01 What else can we do, boys and girls? 08:03 We can sing. 08:04 Yes. 08:06 Be kind. 08:07 Yes. Faithfulness. 08:09 Mm-hmm. We can worship more. 08:12 Oh, you can worship more, that's right. 08:15 And? We can pray. 08:16 We can pray 08:18 'cause when we pray... We can read the Bible. 08:19 We're talking to Jesus, aren't we? 08:21 Yeah.
