00:09 Urban Report...
00:32 Hello and welcome to Urban Report... 00:35 Today we're going to talk to a couple that's doing 00:37 great things for Jesus... 00:39 they are the Founders of Global Vessels Inc... 00:42 welcome Frazier and Virginia Mathis... 00:45 Thank you very much, we are delighted to be here... 00:49 Oh... Thank you Yvonne... 00:50 Thank you... thank you so much for being here 00:53 so, tell us about your ministry, first of all, 00:56 what is your ministry... 00:58 Global Vessels... what is that? 01:00 Well... Global Vessels is a non-profit organization 01:04 that God laid upon our hearts back in 19... 01:08 I guess we started in '89... our first project... 01:12 '98... '98... yeah... thank you dear... 01:14 that's all right, you just juxtaposed a number... 01:16 that's all right... that's all right... 01:18 We have been doing that all the while... 01:20 I have a bad memory... 01:22 she has to correct me all the time... 01:23 Well, see... that's what it's about... 01:25 like being companions, you know, helpmeet... 01:27 That's the balance... That's the balance... 01:29 but God laid it upon our hearts 01:30 we started out in Ghana... 01:32 where we were able to build three churches, 01:35 a girls' dormitory and a library 01:36 and, you know, it was just such a blessing to us... 01:40 until we found ourselves eventually there in Tanzania 01:44 doing something similar... 01:45 Right... now, what made you decide to... 01:47 to do that... they are very... I don't know of a lot of folks 01:51 that get involved in missions... 01:54 what made you get involved in missions? 01:56 I think one of the things is... you know, 01:59 when you are a little child you grow up and you hear about 02:03 putting money and giving to missions 02:05 and some of that probably... 02:07 at least stuck in my head... 02:09 and then, as I got older, 02:11 and you know, life starts, and you forget about that 02:15 that kind of thing but I teach in a School 02:19 that pushes missions and we had been on several 02:24 Maranatha trips... and they go, they go around the world 02:29 and do good... and do a lot of buildings... 02:34 Yes... and my husband is a Builder... 02:36 and he said, "Hey, I'd like to do that... " 02:40 and at the time... Maranatha was not working in Africa 02:45 which is where we wanted to start... 02:48 we are willing to go anywhere but we wanted to start there... 02:53 and so... Maranatha gave us all their plans and helped us 02:55 and gave us their blessings and... 02:58 so that we could begin doing the same kind of ministry... 03:02 Yeah, one weekend... when my wife said, 03:05 would I like to go with them on a mission trip... 03:07 I'd never gone to a mission trip before... 03:09 and so they asked me to go with them 03:11 as their, supposedly, person 03:13 who knew a little more about building than they did... 03:15 and so we solicited Maranatha 03:18 and they gave us a set of plans for a Church... 03:20 and we went to Ghana... to Bekwai... 03:23 and we met the people there... and Matthew Bediako 03:27 kind of led us through that... 03:29 he helped us to get through Ghana 03:30 and get things squared away so believe it or not... 03:32 we came back to our home church and we said, 03:34 "We got to go to Africa and build a church... 03:36 who would like to go with us?" Wow! 03:38 we had 37 individuals... volunteered... 03:41 put their monies up... 03:43 used their summer vacation 03:44 to go with us to build a church in Africa... 03:47 and they had never done it before either... 03:49 so it was a... it was really a tremendous experience for us 03:53 that we should start... Praise the Lord... 03:56 how nice that Maranatha was able to share 03:59 what they do with you... which could just... 04:02 it cut through, I'm sure, a lot of red tape and 04:05 and gave you a really great foundation from which to work... 04:09 so, I'm sure that was great... 04:11 It was, Yvonne, and you know, that's the way we have to be 04:15 because there's a great mission field out here 04:18 and we all have to work together to get the work done... 04:25 so we appreciated the attitude that they had when we asked... 04:29 That's wonderful... it's not a competition... 04:32 we are co-laborers... 04:33 No, there's too much work out there... for a competition! 04:35 That's right... that's right... we are co-laborers out there 04:38 in the field... so, you know, to help each other 04:41 that's what it's all about... so, give me a typical day... 04:45 like let's say... because I honestly... 04:47 I don't feel that my calling is missions... 04:50 I feel like Dare to Dream is my mission 04:52 so that's where I am... it's my mission field... 04:53 That's a mission field... yeah... that's mission field... 04:56 but if I were to go with you guys on a mission trip 04:59 describe what would happen on that mission trip 05:03 in fact... we have a picture... after you describe 05:05 we have a picture of some folks doing some work... 05:08 but tell us... what can I expect 05:12 if I go with you guys on a mission trip? 05:14 The very first thing I want to say is 05:16 expect the unexpected... and be ready to do 05:19 whatever God places on you to do... 05:22 now we do have an outlying program... 05:24 but while we're building... sometimes, we get an opportunity 05:28 to preach... sometimes we get an opportunity 05:31 to distribute clothes in the neighborhood... 05:34 or... there are lot of different things... 05:37 work on a medical clinic... it's usually how God 05:41 brings individuals on board... we try to utilize 05:44 all the talents that an individual may come with 05:47 because a lot of individuals come and say, 05:48 "Well, what can I do... you know, I don't do anything, 05:50 I can't build... " I say, "Well, just come on... 05:54 and what do you do?" and so, we, over the years 05:57 we've been able to utilize individuals that... 06:00 God gives talents that they come with... 06:02 so whatever mixture of talents that we have... 06:04 that's what we use... with the main thrust being... 06:07 building... And everyone has to build... 06:10 so, we'll give you a typical day Okay... 06:13 You have to give up sleeping late in the morning... 06:15 That's right... that's right 06:16 Okay, that's the first problem right there... 06:19 If your day doesn't start until 10:00 a. m. 06:22 you're not going to be happy... 06:24 Okay, so what time do you get up 06:26 what time do you get everybody up? 06:28 We probably get up around 6 o'clock... 06:30 between 6 and 7 we have breakfast... 06:33 but if you're working... we take our own cooks with us 06:36 because we don't want anyone to get sick... 06:41 it's just that our bodies may not work well 06:45 with some of the chemicals or some of the things 06:48 that's in... whatever country we are in... 06:50 so we take our own cooks... 06:51 and so the cooks get up around 4 o'clock... 06:55 and between 4 and 4:30 and start cooking 06:59 and put on music... that kind of get... 07:01 around 6 o'clock and wake people up... 07:03 and we eat between 6 and 7... 07:07 and then we have worship together... 07:10 We have worship... we pray together... 07:13 and kind of give them an outline 07:15 of what the day is going to entail... 07:17 what exactly are the tasks that we're going to be doing... 07:21 we can be working on the foundation, 07:23 we can be working on laying blocks 07:25 it just depends on where we are in the process of building 07:28 so, everybody... even... no matter who it is... 07:31 medical... whatever skills you have... 07:34 everybody works on the work site 07:36 at least one time... so we want everybody to know 07:39 what it is to lay a block... and pour floor... 07:41 and just whatever it takes to get the building up... 07:45 Let's show that picture that we have of the folks 07:49 working on that wall... yeah, there's a lady there 07:53 and she looks like she's working hard and concentrating 07:57 Yeah, she's probably laying blocks... 08:00 everybody lays at least one block 08:03 so you can definitely feel that you have a part 08:06 in this building going up... so she's laying blocks 08:08 and we make our own blocks there... 08:10 we have a manual block-making machine... 08:13 that we actually mix on the ground... 08:15 and then put it in the machine and compact it 08:18 and make the blocks... so, that's what we do... 08:21 we make our blocks on site... Wow! 08:24 so it works out pretty good like that... 08:26 So, do you have to work with local providers then 08:30 to provide the materials for that 08:32 because I guess you don't ship all that stuff in... 08:36 Right... that's what we do... I normally do a pre-trip 08:39 and make sure everything is lined up and 08:41 we usually work with the locals there... 08:42 we even hire some of the locals there... 08:44 trying to get them a little revenue 08:46 so they can, you know, make ends meet there... 08:48 so all of the cement, the gravel and all of the things like that 08:52 sand... well all the building materials 08:54 that we need... they have there... 08:55 we don't bring any of that type of stuff with us... 08:57 we bring our hand tools with us... 08:59 but other than that... we mix everything there, 09:03 we buy everything there, and so, it works out pretty good 09:06 that way... hmmm... hmmm... 09:07 That is great, and so, okay, so, everybody is working, 09:11 everybody is doing whatever God has for them to do that day 09:15 and it's based on the need... that's what you're telling me 09:18 right... it's kind of based on what is needed that day 09:20 but everybody gets involved with the building on some level. 09:24 Yeah, everybody... I'll tell you a story... 09:27 we had two guys... three guys rather from California 09:30 and they called me one time, they said, 09:32 "You know what, we saw you on 3ABN and we want to do 09:36 one of those mission trips with you... 09:37 I said, "No problem, come and go with us... " 09:39 they said, "Well, we have a little problem here... " 09:41 "Well, we're not in our 80s and 70s... " 09:43 I said, "It doesn't matter, come on, you can go with us" 09:45 I said, "If you get a doctor's clearance 09:47 you can come and go with us... " 09:48 so, about two weeks later they called me and they said, 09:51 "We got our clearance and we're coming" 09:53 I said, "Okay, come on... " so the Jacksons... 09:56 I mean, those guys were tremendous, 09:58 we had them putting beds together, 10:00 we had them holding water to mix the cement... you know, 10:04 they were just all over the place... 10:05 so we try to make it work for wherever you are, you know, 10:09 the individuals are not under builders... 10:11 they are not really builders... when they come with us 10:13 we give them the experience, and they don't get hurt, 10:16 you know, we work with them... so the Jacksons had a great time 10:19 I really enjoyed working with them... 10:21 Oh, that is great... that is great... 10:23 Okay, so you're walking me through the day... 10:26 so, okay, so I might be... we've had worship 10:29 then we get started with whatever area that you're in... 10:34 Right... and then... around noon we have lunch... 10:37 because remember, we have our cook with us... 10:40 and we lunch for about an hour to an hour and a half... 10:45 and then... now that we're staying at the orphanage 10:50 most often... a lot of times they play 10:52 with the children... because the children are there 10:54 at the time... so they play with the children 10:56 a little bit... and then... we go back to work... 10:59 and work till around 5 o'clock, come back... 11:03 and have dinner... I'm going to stop right here 11:08 and say, "If you think when you go on a mission trip 11:10 with us... you're going to lose weight... 11:12 forget it... " Ah ah... 11:13 Awww... are you serious? 11:15 Oh my! even though people work hard... 11:18 we take one of the best cooks in the area... 11:23 she has a catering business Jackie Bethea, 11:28 and she is a great cook... Jackie Bethea? 11:32 Yeah... Oh my! I love her... 11:34 you are not going to lose weight as a matter of fact... 11:36 you may put on a few pounds when you're there... 11:40 Oh no... don't tell me that... don't tell us that... 11:43 You know the thing is... many of us don't eat 3 meals... 11:46 3 hearty meals a day... but we eat hearty meals 11:50 because people are doing hard work, you know, 11:53 Yes... if you're working in the sun 11:54 and you're doing something 11:56 that's really out of your element 11:58 then, we're going to make sure that you are well fed... 12:03 That's great... So, you know, we do that 12:06 we bring some of our food, and the reason that we do that 12:11 again... is because we serve vegetarian meals 12:14 and you can't get vegetarian food easily 12:19 in many of the places that we go... 12:21 so we just bring some of the things that we know 12:24 our little friends are going to want... 12:28 because food gets to be important when you're away... 12:31 Absolutely, that's a big thing for me... 12:34 we're getting ready to do a trip to Russia... 12:37 and so, for me, because I'm not done... 12:42 well, this isn't a mission trip 12:44 this is a 3ABN Anniversary trip 12:46 Yeah, I've seen it... 12:47 Yeah, but I don't often go out of the Country... 12:52 so when you go out of the Country, 12:54 of course, and me being the person that I am... 12:57 you think about the water, Right... 12:59 you think about the food, and food... 13:01 the chemicals in foods in different places... 13:04 are different... so, you know, you're wondering, 13:07 "Is this going to work for me?" you know, so... 13:10 that's why I was asking about the food and the water 13:13 where do you get the water... 13:14 like what do you do about water? 13:16 We have bottled water... we buy bottled water 13:20 and we also have water there, we did a bore hole 13:24 when we first started this orphanage... 13:26 so we have well water there that we use to bathe and cook with... 13:29 but we also buy bottled water, so when you go to Russia, 13:33 lot of cabbage, lot of soup, lot of cheese, 13:37 you're going to be all right... 13:39 Okay, all right, that's good... 13:40 He just went on a mission trip to Russia... 13:43 Oh, okay... okay... 13:45 You'll be fine... you won't miss a meal... 13:47 All right good... well thank you... 13:48 Would you like cabbage and cheese? 13:50 Well actually I could afford to miss a meal... 13:53 so, if I lost a little bit, 13:54 I wouldn't be mad... I wouldn't be mad... 13:56 Let's get back... in the mornings... 13:58 sometimes... since the orphanage is up 14:01 and we have these children in place and 14:03 there were about 12 of them there in school right now... 14:06 Hmmm... hmmm... Last time, some of the 14:08 young people would get up in the morning 14:10 and walk the children to School, so, that was really interesting 14:14 to watch... our young adults boys and girls 14:18 walk our children to School 14:20 because when they go to School, they walk... 14:22 so they had a great time... you know, a lot of bonding there 14:25 so that's another part of the day... 14:28 they get up early enough... "Well, we're going to walk 14:30 the children to school... we'll be back to work... " 14:32 so we said, "Okay, go ahead... " so they did that... 14:34 so that's just another part of what we do... during the day... 14:38 Oh, that's wonderful... Yeah, so it's good... 14:41 And then, how do you close out your day? 14:43 We close out our day... now that we're working... 14:48 most of our work right now has been... at our Orphanage 14:51 in Tanzania... and we will do... 14:54 like he went to Russia with WAU 14:57 but pretty much... 14:59 we are going to Tanzania to try to finish... 15:02 so we close our day by worshipping with the children 15:05 I can tell you that they're phenomenal... 15:09 they can say all the books in the Bible... 15:12 they can recite every Scripture that you know... 15:17 and they love to sit on your lap 15:20 and they love to have worship with you... 15:22 and sing songs and if we don't worship with the kids... 15:25 we worship with ourselves... 15:27 but we never close our day without thanking God for the day 15:30 and last year when we were in Tanzania... 15:36 and we had a lot of times without electricity... 15:40 then the group would get together at night 15:43 and we'd put up a flashlight and we'd tell stories and 15:46 we just did a lot of bonding... and 15:50 we would figure out projects that we could do 15:53 outside of the project that we were there to do 15:58 you know, God is so awesome that... people come 16:01 and they give of their money to come 16:03 and they help build... and a lot of them want to put down 16:07 you know... they meet someone who says... 16:09 "I need tuition," and... you know... 16:11 people were laying money on the floor and saying, 16:15 "Okay, what are we going to do, let's help so-and-so... 16:17 let's help this person, let's help that person... " 16:20 He puts a lot of 16:23 blessed people... or people who want to be a blessing 16:27 in our path... 16:28 Yeah, that was interesting to watch them... 16:30 they were helping the workers that were helping us... 16:34 and a lot of times we hired students there 16:37 and they need money for their school fees... 16:39 so we would hire them... and then some of our volunteers 16:42 would work with them and get to know them 16:44 and then they would tell them what their needs would be 16:47 and then they bring it back to the group... 16:48 and we try to do the best we could... 16:52 to help them with their needs, so it's just a blessing 16:55 all the way around... we knew it was a blessing 16:57 all the way around... and we're excited about it... 16:59 that is so wonderful... when you're doing 17:01 the Lord's work... and certainly 17:03 working with orphans 17:06 I mean... that is such... it's so much of what God 17:11 would have us to do... to provide a loving situation 17:15 for these children... and to let them sit on your lap 17:20 and to give them love and give them Jesus... 17:23 Yes... it must be such 17:25 a gratifying feeling... 17:27 to know that you're doing that work... 17:29 One feeling... let me tell you that was really moving 17:32 and touching for us... you know, even while we were there 17:35 we were trying to teach them how to give back... 17:37 you know, even though you're an orphan... 17:39 that does not mean that you should not give back 17:42 so we... what we've done... we've gone into town 17:45 and bought a 50-pound bag of rice... 17:48 and we'd come back... and bought some Ziploc bags 17:51 then we had them fill all the bags up... 17:53 and then we would go in the Community... 17:55 and have them pass it out to the people in the Community 17:57 Nice... just to teach them how 18:00 it is... to give back... 18:02 one time, we had clothing over there... and we said, 18:07 "Okay, gather all your clothes that are too small for you... 18:09 and we're going to go in the Community 18:11 and we're going to pass them out... 18:12 so we got in the van... and we went into the Community 18:15 and they were passing out the clothes... 18:17 they get excited about being able to help people 18:19 and I love that... because they understand 18:21 what we're trying to do... so there they are there... 18:23 passing out clothes to all the other children... 18:26 that are their age... younger, so they're done 18:28 and in they are the van and they're riding back 18:30 to Havilah... 18:32 and one boy comes running... catching up with the van, 18:35 he finally catches up with the van... 18:37 and he asks... 18:38 "Do you have anything left, can I have something?" 18:40 and they said, "Well, no, we've given it 18:42 all away... we don't have any more... " 18:44 and as he got ready to walk away 18:47 my little five-year-old Simon stops and pulls off his shirt... 18:51 Oh, come on now... 18:53 he pulls off his shirt... and he gives it to the little boy, 18:56 and I said, "Okay, they understand... " 18:59 they understand what this thing is all about... 19:01 they get the big picture... they not only are receiving... 19:04 but they also understand what it is to give... 19:06 so that was enough for me... 19:08 I was done for the rest of the trip... 19:09 I said, "Okay, these kids really are getting 19:11 what we're trying to get them to understand... " 19:13 and that is... to love and to share 19:16 and to be willing to go out of your comfort zone 19:19 because Simon pulled that shirt off and gave it to him... 19:21 it was amazing... it was amazing... 19:24 Oh, that is so beautiful... because they get it... 19:27 They get it... because they get it... 19:29 no matter where you are... 19:31 you can do something for someone else... 19:33 Exactly... They get it... 19:35 And you know... in addition to that... 19:37 sometimes, when I'm in Tanzania, 19:40 and I go outside and I look at the stars 19:43 and they seem like they're right there... on top of you... 19:45 and I say, "God, how could you be using me" 19:48 you know, ordinary... ordinary me... 19:52 who has nothing in comparison to what other people might have, 19:58 and yet, He just answers back, 20:02 that He uses ordinary people, He uses everyone... 20:05 all you have to do is be willing to let God use you... 20:09 and He'll give you a mission and this is a big mission 20:13 I mean... and you know that Dare to Dream is a big mission 20:16 Yes... a big mission... 20:18 and you wonder, "How are we going to do it?" 20:20 and then... you have to sit back and say, 20:22 "We are not going to do it... but God's going to do it... " 20:25 That is so true... that is so true... 20:27 you can't just assume that... this is about Him... 20:31 and He puts everything in place... 20:34 brings the right people to you... 20:36 to make it happen... because it's about His work... 20:40 Right... so, we're just kind of like... 20:42 like we're being... you know... we're available 20:46 to be used by the Almighty... to do His work... 20:50 Yeah, all His bidding is to enable us... 20:52 Yes... God is... I mean, 20:54 He's so masterful, 20:55 first He puts it in your heart to do it... 20:56 because we don't have enough sense 20:58 to do what we do... That's right... that's right... 20:59 first He puts it in your heart to do it... 21:01 and then when you look in your heart 21:02 and you look around and say, 21:04 "Okay, it's in my heart... 21:05 but I don't have the resources to do it... " 21:06 Yes... He says, 21:08 "All right, if I'm going to put it in your heart to do it 21:09 guess what... I'm going to provide all the resources 21:11 and all the people that you need to get it done... 21:14 the only thing I need you to do is just to be faithful 21:16 and to go forward and to trust me... 21:19 and just stand back... and watch what I'm going to do" 21:23 Yes... and that's been our experience 21:24 for the last 14 years... you know, because people say, 21:27 "Wow! how in the world could you do all that?" 21:28 we say, "Jesus... how could you top it?" 21:32 "Wait a minute, how many houses do you guys have?" 21:34 "You know, well we have four... 21:36 what we first hoped for... we're going to build 10 houses 21:38 and the Administration Building" 21:39 people kind of looked at me like "Yeah, right... " 21:41 and over the years... we have 4 houses and 21:44 Administration Building partially done... 21:46 and when I stand back and look at it... 21:49 I'm amazed... Yes... 21:50 I know from whence God has brought us... 21:53 and every person that He's put in place... 21:55 to allow those things 21:57 to come to pass... so, with men... 21:59 in my mindset right now... 22:01 there's nothing too hard for God to do... 22:03 Come on... come on now... Nothing... 22:04 Nothing... That's right... 22:06 the only thing God needs... is a piece of clay... 22:07 just willing to follow... That's right... 22:10 that's all He needs... then He'll do everything else 22:12 so for me... I enjoy it because 22:15 you know what? we walk out in faith 22:17 and God gives us a measure of faith... 22:20 and then He honors that faith, 22:21 and He does exceedingly and abundantly more 22:25 than you can think or even ask 22:27 so it's a wonder for me... 22:28 and what I'm excited about now is... 22:30 this is how He started this thing... 22:32 how's it going to end up? Oh, I love it... that's right... 22:36 I can't wait to see what the end's going to be... 22:38 if He can do this in the beginning, 22:40 how is it going to end up? 22:41 That's right, that's right... 22:43 I'm expecting... I'm expecting greater things 22:44 greater things from the Lord... Wow! 22:46 And you know what? He's a great God 22:48 and we can expect great things from Him... 22:51 sometimes we limit God... and we put limits on Him 22:53 and act as though, "Well, He can only do this" 22:56 No... He is God... He is the creator of the universe 22:59 He never stops creating... every fingerprint is different 23:03 you know, every fingerprint, every human being is different 23:07 He never stops creating... so, we don't need to put limits 23:12 on God... you guys have 4 houses now 23:15 that God has allowed you to build and we have pictures 23:19 of the houses... I'd like for us to show 23:22 one of those houses... the whole village is called 23:25 "Havilah" is it Havilah 23:28 or... that's the name of the village 23:30 It's Havilah... 23:31 Havilah... we got that name out of the Bible 23:34 in Genesis 2 verse 11... Yes... 23:36 it names a place Havilah where there is gold... 23:39 I said, "Whoa... okay... gold the children of gold... 23:42 okay... Havilah... that's us" 23:43 I love it... I love it... God is good... 23:46 He is... He is... and we can trust Him to do this... 23:49 so what do you need... what are some of the needs 23:53 of your missionary venture... of Global Vessels... 23:57 What do you need right now? 24:00 Well right now, there are several things that we need... 24:03 we need sponsorship for children because 24:05 when we were building churches it was good... 24:08 and we walk away... in that... we'd walk away from the Churches 24:11 and we'd all cry... and then we go about and do a new project 24:14 but when we're working with children, 24:17 this is almost a life-long activity... 24:20 until, you know, they're grown and out of Havilah... 24:23 so the only way that we've been able to 24:26 well, one of the ways is that people sponsor children 24:31 so, we need sponsorship... the children also need a van 24:36 to be able to get around and we are trying to finish 24:41 the Administration Building which will also be 24:45 a Learning Center for the children... 24:47 we're trying to build the 24:50 brightest, Christian young people in Tanzania... 24:54 we want them to be very productive Tanzanian citizens 24:59 who know Jesus Christ... Yes... 25:02 this is really a witnessing tool and we're just so happy 25:09 that God placed it... He gave it to us... to do... 25:12 and... so... those are a couple of needs... 25:14 can you think of anything else Sweetie? 25:17 Well, definitely... we have slated to build 10 houses 25:20 we have 4 of them built already, each one of these homes 25:23 that are up and running right now... 25:25 that's been built... some individuals have decided 25:29 to do in memory of one of their loved ones... 25:31 one, say for instance, House 3 was built in honor of 25:35 Valerie Silver who perished in the World Trade Building... 25:39 Oh... and her brother and her sister 25:41 and her mother... decided because Valerie loved 25:45 working with inner-city children 25:46 that they would build a house in her honor 25:49 so that was at least one thing that someone can do... 25:52 if you have a loved one that was... 25:54 Or someone that you want to honor... 25:55 and someone that you want to honor... 25:57 that would be one way you could help us by... 25:59 by helping us to complete the buildings 26:01 that we have yet to build... but that Learning Center 26:04 is where we are right now... we want to complete this thing 26:06 so that... we can... the big picture that we'd love 26:10 to be able to do... is to bring the children 26:13 out of the Community... 26:15 and bring them inside this building 26:17 and prepare them for First Grade... 26:19 you know, that's the big picture for me... 26:21 Oh, so you want the Orphanage and you want to have 26:25 a Community Center is that what you're saying? 26:28 Yeah, we want to have... this Facility will allow us 26:31 to bring children out of the Community 26:33 say, right before First Grade 26:36 and teach them English, and teach them how to read 26:39 and teach them how to write, so that 26:40 when they're in the First Grade, they'll be ready to go... 26:42 so, that's one big thing that we'd like to... 26:45 that's one reason why we would like to get 26:47 this building completed, and we're up to the 2nd Floor 26:49 right now... we need the roof on... 26:51 we need the windows, the doors, the tiles, the bathrooms, 26:56 the kitchen... so we got a little ways to go yet 26:59 so we need individuals who are willing to come and help us 27:01 not only finish building it, but also give us funds 27:05 so we can continue to build... 27:07 Okay... so would you guys give us your website 27:10 so that people can look you up and make donations? 27:15 What's your website? It's www. Globalvessels. org 27:20 Thank you so much and 27:22 thank you so much for being with us on Urban Report 27:24 may God bless you as you continue to work for Him 27:26 Thank you... 27:28 James 1 verse 27 says, "Pure religion and undefiled 27:32 before God is this, To visit the fatherless and 27:35 widows in their affliction and to keep himself 27:38 unspotted from the world... " 27:39 you may not be physically able to go on a mission trip 27:43 but you can certainly contribute something 27:45 to assist these children that are without their parents 27:48 and show them the love of Jesus Christ... 27:50 we need to put our money where our mouths are 27:53 so to speak... and do something 27:55 to help those in need... 27:56 Well, we've come to the end of another Urban Report... 27:59 tune in next time... 28:00 because it just wouldn't be the same... without you... |
