00:01 Stay tuned to meet a woman
00:02 who's just too fresh for her own good. 00:05 My name is Yvonne Lewis 00:06 and you're watching Urban Report. 00:32 Hello and welcome to Urban Report. 00:34 My guest today is Evita Tezeno 00:37 Vegan Chef, Author, and Co-host of 00:40 Dare To Dream's Program, A Taste of Paradise. 00:43 We were at the 60th Annual General Conference 00:46 in San Antonio, Texas, 00:48 look at what God's been up to... in her life. 00:53 You know, one of the things that's so great about 00:59 being at the General Conference is that you run into people 01:02 and you see people that you want to talk to, 01:05 that you want to interview and they are here 01:07 and I have with me right now, my friend and the host of 01:13 A Taste of Paradise, 01:14 one of the Co-hosts of the Taste of Paradise, 01:16 Evita Tezano. 01:17 Evita, my girl, so good to have you here. 01:23 It is awesome to be here. 01:25 What do you think of this General Conference? 01:27 This is my first General Conference. 01:29 Okay... 01:30 I'm so excited to see all the different nationalities 01:33 and go to the meetings and the preaching... 01:37 it's just fabulous. 01:38 It is, it's so, you know, to me, it's like a taste of heaven 01:43 in that... everybody is represented here 01:46 you know, all the nationalities 01:48 I mean, it's just like, it's a taste of heaven 01:50 except some of the issues that we've been having 01:53 but that's a whole other conversation, 01:55 but to me... it's like... 01:57 heaven's going to be this amazing reunion 02:00 where we will sit, 02:03 or stand on the Sea of Glass 02:05 we'll be able to eat from the Tree of Life 02:09 and we'll be able to do what? Live life fresh! 02:12 That is your slogan. 02:16 That is my slogan. 02:19 How did you come up with that? 02:20 You know, I was sitting with a friend, 02:22 we were just talking about 02:24 just... eating fresh and stuff and I said, 02:27 "You know, we need to live life fresh" 02:29 and she said, "Oh my goodness, that's it" 02:32 and quickly I went on GoDaddy and registered the name 02:36 and the rest is history, Amen. 02:38 and everybody sees me and they say "Live life fresh. " 02:42 That is your slogan on the Taste of Paradise. 02:45 Yes, that is my slogan. 02:47 On the Taste of Paradise, 02:49 you are the Host that deals with the raw food, 02:55 raw food preparation Yes. 02:57 and the Program is structured in an interesting way. 03:01 The first part is you, raw foods, right, 03:05 and then the second part is "cooked food preparation" 03:08 and that kind of thing, so it's really a nice balance. 03:11 It is... it is... 03:12 What do you enjoy about a Taste of Paradise 03:16 about the whole program itself? 03:18 Well, I love 3ABN and coming to Dare to Dream 03:23 that's the first part, it's amazing, 03:25 it's an amazing ministry, 03:27 but getting a chance to really share my gift with everyone 03:33 that is an amazing opportunity 03:36 and that's what I really, really love 03:38 that you have given me a platform 03:40 to be able to share my gift 03:41 because I love cooking, I love preparing food 03:45 and before I did raw... 03:46 I cooked vegan... I started in my home years ago, 03:51 just showing people simple vegan dishes. 03:54 And let's talk about that, 03:55 let's talk a little bit about your journey 03:57 with food preparation. 03:59 What made you decide that you wanted to do 04:02 food preparation, that you wanted to be a chef 04:05 period, not just raw but just work with food? 04:08 Well, believe it or not, I believe that it chose me 04:11 because I was at a church 04:13 and this couple had just come back from Uchee Pines 04:17 and they talked about their... how they loved it 04:20 and the experience they had and I was curious 04:23 and so, I sat down with them, 04:25 and the rest is history after that. 04:28 I went to Uchee Pines and I studied for a little bit 04:31 and I worked at Country Life Restaurant 04:34 and I just loved it, 04:36 and then they gave me the marching orders 04:38 they said, "Now, you have to go 04:40 and teach other people this message" 04:41 and I never stopped, and that's been almost 30 years. 04:44 Cool, you're kidding! 04:46 you know what's interesting to me Evita is... 04:50 when we're walking in our divine destiny, 04:54 it is the most... 04:56 it's such an 04:58 exhilarating experience, 05:00 it's the most gratifying experience to know that, 05:03 "This is where God has placed me, 05:05 this is my assignment on this planet 05:07 and that's where you are. 05:09 You developed that passion for it 05:11 because that was God's purpose for you. 05:14 It is... it was... it is... Yes, yes... 05:16 I can't see myself doing another thing 05:19 because I live to help people live a life... freshly... 05:25 yeah, to be free from encumberment, 05:29 it's not only food but also negative thoughts 05:33 and it's a whole life of freshness. 05:37 Wow! Yes. 05:38 So, tell us about some of the people that you've dealt with 05:43 that you've helped with food, that have had medical challenges 05:47 and, of course, we're not saying that 05:49 if you have a medical challenge 05:51 that this will necessarily work for you, 05:53 although, it's worth trying 05:56 but what are some of the conditions 05:59 that you've helped people with just with food? 06:03 Cancer has been one of them, I had a patient 06:07 well, a client that had lymph nodes, Cancer, 06:11 and I went and cooked for her 06:14 and she is living Cancer free right now. 06:17 I prepared meals, I juiced for her, 06:20 put her on a program and she's living healthy now. 06:23 Praise God. Praise God. 06:24 I've helped people lose weight, 06:26 I've just had some people 06:29 that just wanted... they were lethargic 06:31 and they felt like they were just tired all the time, 06:33 and I put them on a Ten-day Program 06:36 and they continued with it and they're happy 06:40 and they are feeling wonderful. 06:41 And this is one of the services that you offer? 06:44 Yes I do, yes I do. 06:46 Like... kind of Nutritional Consulting? 06:48 Yes, yes, I'm not a Certified Nutritionist, 06:51 but I have studied the principles of nutrition, 06:55 and I just give them the plant-based diet 06:59 and I do add... 07:00 maybe a little Cook in there if they need it, 07:03 but I usually just give them a raw, plant-based diet 07:06 for, maybe ten days, 07:08 if they can't handle ten days, maybe seven days. 07:11 That's awesome, so what are some of the advantages 07:13 of a plant-based diet, 07:15 why would someone want to do a plant-based diet? 07:19 That's the 3ABN Fly, 07:21 when people see us waving like that 07:24 we're not saying, "Hi" 07:26 it's the 3ABN Fly buzzing around, 07:29 so, why would someone want to do a plant-based diet 07:31 over just the standard American diet? 07:34 Well, it's no processed foods, 07:37 compared to the American diet which is processed food, 07:39 it gives you energy, 07:42 it keeps your mind clear so the Holy Spirit can speak to you. 07:45 Hmmm... so there's even a spiritual connection 07:48 with what we eat... Oh, most definitely, 07:50 exactly, exactly. 07:52 The saying that "you are what you eat... " 07:55 it is true, because, you are what you digest 07:58 or you absorb, 08:00 and you're a product of the things you eat, 08:04 and that's why we should eat good 08:06 so that we can have healthy bodies 08:08 so the Holy Spirit can dwell and live with us 08:11 Hmmm... yeah... 08:13 and if we don't take care 08:14 of this body, where are we going to live? 08:16 Well, that's true 08:18 or will we even live? 08:19 Or will we even live, right, right, 08:21 exactly, exactly. 08:22 So, what are some of the foods that you give 08:24 to, say a person who has Cancer 08:27 or a person who has Hypertension 08:29 and... or a person who has Diabetes? 08:31 Greens, Greens, Greens, Greens. 08:33 Greens are the food that God has given us 08:36 if you notice, if you look out in nature, 08:39 what do you see? You see green, 08:41 you see green grass, you see green trees, 08:44 I feel that He put that as a reminder to us 08:47 that we should have green in our diets 08:50 that's that Fly... The 3ABN Fly... 08:52 yeah, so I tell them that most of their diet should be 08:57 Greens, almost a pound of Greens a day, 09:00 Hmmm... Yeah... 09:02 Now when you say Greens 09:03 you know for some people, 09:04 they're going to put the Ham Hock in there 09:07 in those Turnip Greens and Mustard Greens 09:09 what kind of Greens are you talking about? 09:11 Kale... Kale... okay... 09:13 Collard Greens, 09:14 but you can juice those Collard Greens 09:17 and you can even eat Collard Greens raw 09:19 because for my show I did a Collard Green Wrap, 09:22 I did a marinated Collard Green salad, 09:25 so, you can eat Greens raw, you just have to cut them up 09:29 slice them thinly, and marinate them, 09:32 and you could eat them raw and they're palatable, 09:34 they're delicious, 09:36 now, Mustard Greens you can't eat raw 09:38 because they're a bitter Green, but there are so many others, 09:41 there's Swiss Chard, 09:42 and you can even eat Bok Choy raw. 09:45 You just have to marinate it, yeah. 09:48 See, a lot of people might not even be familiar with 09:51 Bok Choy or Chard and one of the things 09:55 we need to share with our Viewers 09:58 is that, go to... 10:00 even if it's a store outside of your neighborhood 10:03 because we have "food deserts" in the city. 10:04 Yes, we have "food deserts" 10:06 and they don't have those types of Produce 10:09 in some stores, but go and explore, 10:12 go to the different food stores in different neighborhoods, 10:16 and stay in the Produce Section Yes... 10:19 that's where here all the goodies are, isn't it? 10:22 It's in the Produce Section. 10:24 Yeah, the outer perimeters of the store, 10:27 have the best things and then 10:29 as you get further and further into the store 10:32 you get all the processed food and stuff 10:35 stuff that can sit on the shelf for three years and be fine. 10:37 But I tell them that all the goodies are in the Produce 10:40 I mean... they have... and look at all the colors 10:43 Yes... yeah... 10:45 God wants us to eat the rainbow 10:46 and there are so many different colors 10:49 there are reds and orange and yellows and blues 10:52 and everything, 10:54 and you eat all those different colors 10:56 and each one had different nutrients in them 10:59 so that's what God wants us to do. 11:01 You know, that's another thing, look at God and how good He is 11:05 He's given us what we need in the plant-based diet. 11:10 He has. All of these colors 11:12 have different effects on the diet 11:15 and so, if we have like... 11:18 the reds... they're good for the blood, 11:21 and the greens are also good for the blood, 11:24 you know, with the chlorophyll, so, all of these things are... 11:27 yellow might be good for bowel, 11:29 so all of these things really play into our nutrition 11:34 and God has given it to us and He's given you this passion 11:38 for raw foods and how to prepare them 11:42 I know, for a fact that, on a Taste of Paradise, 11:47 our crew is excited when you guys come 11:49 because, we know we're going to get some good food 11:53 you look us up... you made this Eggplant Bacon 11:57 and I'll tell you what! it is so delicious, 12:04 I've made it at home, I got the dehydrated... finally 12:08 and it's so great, you can lose weight, 12:12 you have snacks, I mean, really... 12:15 it's so good! I haven't done the crackers yet 12:17 Okay. but you have great recipes 12:20 speaking of recipes, let's talk about this new book 12:24 I have a "Living Life Fresh" cookbook. 12:28 Yeah... that's awesome, tell us about it 12:31 what inspired you to write it first of all? 12:34 Well, everybody has been asking me about a cookbook 12:37 and they said, 12:38 "We watch you on the Program but you go so fast 12:41 and we can't write them down" 12:42 and so many people... they don't have a computer 12:46 so they can get from the Resource Button 12:48 on Dare to Dream's Network, so, I came up with a cookbook 12:52 Awesome. 12:54 with a few recipes... 12:55 it doesn't have all of the recipes, 12:57 it has about... maybe 55... but it's a start, 12:59 Oh! these are the simpler ones 13:01 Oh, the simpler ones. 13:03 yes, I have two that are kind of intense 13:05 I have pizza that I made that everybody loved 13:08 and then I have the lasagna 13:10 but everything else is very, very simple 13:13 Do you have Eggplant Bacon in that? 13:14 No, I don't... You don't? 13:16 I don't have the Eggplant Bacon 13:17 I tried not to put a lot of dehydrated things, 13:19 because a lot of people don't have dehydrated things 13:22 True, true. so if you have a knife, 13:26 a blender, maybe a food processor, 13:29 some bowls and your hands, 13:31 you can prepare the recipes. Good, good. 13:33 So I want to make it a simple as possible. 13:37 What kinds of food... like you have entrees 13:40 and breakfast and things, how is it set up? 13:42 It's set up with smoothies, and breakfast items, 13:46 Oh, you know what? Yes. 13:49 Our Viewers need to know that with smoothies, 13:51 you can get a lot into a smoothie 13:53 even if your children do not like veggies... 13:57 You can put it in that blender and blend it up. 14:00 Mom's secret... it's mom's secret... 14:03 It is... it is. You can put spinach in it 14:05 they don't even know spinach is in there 14:08 No, they won't. You can put spinach in there, 14:10 all kinds of veggies, 14:11 and you're not supposed to mix 14:13 fruits and vegetables, but people do it, 14:15 and the flavor is great, 14:18 the kids don't realize what they're getting 14:20 but they're getting nutrition that is instantly absorbed 14:24 right... because it's liquid. 14:27 Exactly, it's liquid and it goes straight to your bloodstream. 14:29 Hmmm... hmmm... 14:30 and it's delicious, it's delicious. 14:32 What kind of smoothies do you have in there? 14:33 I have the Cocoa Boost Smoothie 14:34 which has spinach and coconut water 14:38 a little dates in it... so it could make it a little sweet 14:43 and it has some walnuts in it for protein 14:45 and also good brain food as well. 14:46 Good, good, okay so you have smoothies, what else? 14:50 I have breakfast items. 14:51 Now, see that's a big deal because people are like, 14:54 "What am I going to eat for breakfast, 14:55 what do I eat for breakfast?" so what do you have? 14:57 I have a Chia Seed Pudding which is amazing 14:59 Chia seed... Chia seed is amazing! 15:01 That's great for weight loss too. 15:04 It's great for weight loss, it fills you up, you're full, 15:06 it also gives you so much energy 15:09 I just love Chia Seed. Hmmm... I do too, I do too. 15:12 And I soak it in either coconut milk or almond milk 15:15 and it's so tasty, 15:17 I shared it with a couple of people in my church 15:19 and they said, "I didn't know this could taste so good" 15:21 Hmmm... 15:23 it tastes almost like Tapioca Pudding 15:25 but you eat this for breakfast. Yes and it thickens. 15:27 It thickens, it gets kind of gelatinous. 15:29 It does, it does. It's amazing. 15:31 I'm getting so hungry I haven't eaten lunch yet. 15:34 I'm getting hungry, you're making me hungry. 15:37 Then we have the Entree Section 15:39 that's where the pizza and the lasagna recipes are 15:44 and then I have a Side Section, it's all raw 15:47 and I have my famous Coconut Kale Enchiladas 15:51 yes, and they're fabulous, they're just fabulous 15:55 and then I have side dishes 15:56 which is like my Cauliflower Popcorn. 15:59 You know what? I made that. 16:01 I made the Cauliflower Popcorn and loved it, oh man, 16:05 it's great because you can just kind of nosh on it 16:08 so low in calories, Yes, exactly, exactly... 16:11 but yet, if you want to chew, you know what I mean, 16:15 it's a chewy thing, Yeah. 16:17 for us foodies... Of course, of course. 16:19 And I have a Section of great salads 16:22 my Avocado Kale Salad which everybody loves, 16:25 it's quick and easy, Fabulous. 16:26 you don't need any... hardly any utensils to make that 16:29 yeah, and then, last but not least, I have... 16:32 it's called, "Sweet On Your Tongue" 16:35 that Section because it's dessert 16:38 and we all love desserts. We do. 16:40 We all love desserts. 16:41 Now, what kind of desserts do you have? 16:43 Well, you know I made that Sweet Potato Cheesecake 16:46 you remember that one, Oooooooooh! 16:49 that one and I have a Mango Cheesecake 16:52 Yes, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy. 16:55 Girl, I think I'm salivating, 16:56 I might need some tissue or something. 16:59 And I have this wonderful Strawberry, 17:02 which is on the cover, it's a Strawberry Pie 17:04 Okay. 17:05 Hmmm... hmmm... and it's so yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy. 17:08 And all of these things, they're raw 17:10 so, again, the enzymes are there They're all there. 17:14 so your body can take that and use what it needs 17:17 and still... it's palatable 17:19 because one thing that people don't want 17:21 is to have something nasty it's like, 17:23 "If it doesn't taste good, I'm not going to eat it, 17:26 so I'm not going to get the benefit from it, it is nasty. " 17:29 And that's one thing people tell me 17:30 they say, "Evita, you make raw... 17:32 you make 'raw' enjoyable 17:34 because your food tastes amazing" 17:37 and you see, my grandmother was an excellent cook 17:39 Was she? She was an excellent cook 17:41 but I mean, you know, we grew up from... 17:43 like the Louisiana way 17:44 but when I decided to eat this way, 17:47 I said, "I want my food to be tasty 17:49 and I want people to enjoy it" 17:51 and everybody loves my food, they just love it 17:55 you know, you've experienced it. 17:58 I have... it's delicious tell us a little bit about 18:01 your grandma and your family, your upbringing. 18:03 Yeah... well, I was born in Port Arthur, Texas, 18:06 which is near Louisiana, it's not too far, 18:09 it's right on the border of Louisiana and Texas, 18:13 and they had a garden in the backyard 18:15 I grew up eating fresh fruits and vegetables 18:18 we had a fig tree, a pecan tree in the backyard 18:21 yes... 18:22 So you kind of took it for granted right? 18:24 I took it for granted because I felt, this is the way I eat 18:26 and I always ate good, 18:28 because my grandmother always had Greens and Okra 18:33 and fresh fruits and vegetables, I grew up that way. 18:38 So I didn't eat a whole lot of processed foods 18:41 until I went to College, and that's where it happened. 18:43 And what happened? 18:45 I started eating bad, 18:47 you know the pizza the hot dogs and all that stuff, 18:50 and it really wasn't filling. 18:52 How did that affect you? 18:54 My Eczema... I had Eczema really bad 18:56 and I had Eczema as a child, it went away for a little while 19:00 it came back when I was in College 19:02 because I was eating all this processed food, 19:04 and it continued a little bit and then I said, 19:07 "I got to do something" and then when I became... 19:10 I got introduced to Adventism and the health message, 19:13 I said... and they said that 19:15 you can really clear this up by eating healthy, 19:18 I grabbed it, and I am an Ex-Eczema person 19:23 I don't have it anymore. Praise the Lord. 19:25 Yeah, it took away... when I took the dairy out 19:27 it went away. 19:29 It's amazing isn't it that when... you can be on one path 19:34 and it affects your body, it affects... 19:37 it causes inflammation, Yes it does. 19:40 like sugar for example, white flour, all of those things 19:43 can cause... too much meat and dairy products 19:47 they cause inflammation in the body 19:49 so, you got that path 19:51 then you got the plant-based diet path 19:54 where... when you eat like that it removes the inflammation, 19:58 it reduces the inflammation, it gives you more energy 20:02 so, I mean, you're on... 20:05 you got on the bad path in College, 20:08 what got you off of that path? 20:10 One... you feel better, Ahh... 20:13 yeah, because I was in my 20s and I felt tired all the time 20:17 and I said, "I shouldn't be feeling that way, I'm young" 20:21 but now, I'll tell my age, I am over 50 20:26 and I feel like I'm in my 20s, 20:29 Oh, that's awesome. I have so much energy. 20:31 Now, I don't eat a hundred percent raw 20:33 I eat a high raw diet 80 percent but I feel amazing 20:38 I get up in the morning with vigor 20:40 Yes. and I just keep going 20:43 I do a lot... I have a lot of things going on 20:45 and I'm like the "Ever Ready Bunny" 20:48 I just keep on going, keep on going 20:51 because I have so much energy 20:53 because I eat so much raw food 20:55 you know, the Chia Pudding in the morning 20:58 a big salad for lunch 20:59 with all the great Greens and things like that 21:02 it's amazing 21:03 and I just feel wonderful, yeah I do. 21:06 That is so good, you know 21:07 you are a great advertisement for what you do. 21:12 Yeah, you know, so many people, Yvonne, 21:15 they come to me and say, 21:16 "I want your skin because your skin is glowing" 21:20 I say, "It's what I eat, it's what I eat. " 21:25 You know, I said, "I do have good DNA, 21:27 my mother and my grandmother, they both had great skin" 21:30 but you keep it that way 21:32 because you can make it go away if you don't eat correctly. 21:38 That's very true, you can age. 21:40 You can age yourself by what you put in your body. 21:43 That's right... that's right, 21:44 and you also can reverse some things too 21:47 because I've seen people who, again, 21:50 they were looking really kind of old 21:53 and then they started eating properly 21:56 and it reverses things. 21:58 It does, food is medicine. 22:01 Food is medicine. Food is medicine. 22:04 What are you doing now as far as... 22:06 you've got your book, 22:07 what is your plan for your ministry? 22:10 I want to take it to all the world, 22:13 I want to teach people that there is hope 22:16 there is hope with food, you could feel better, 22:21 you don't have to feel tired and sluggish 22:25 you don't have to really be sick 22:26 you can feel amazing, you can feel fabulous 22:30 so I am going to different churches 22:33 I have a couple of speaking engagements lined up 22:36 and I'm going to sell my book and that's what I'm going to do. 22:42 And can people get your book online, how can they get it? 22:45 They can contact me through my website 22:47 Livinglifefresh. com and they can get my book, yeah. 22:53 That's great, I definitely want that book 22:55 because I want to make some of those recipes myself 22:59 and I'm looking forward to tasting, 23:02 are you doing any... wait, wait, we're at GC, 23:04 I thought you were doing demonstrations or something. 23:10 Yes, I am, I am, I'm doing demonstrations 23:12 we're doing demonstrations at 11:00 a. m. 23:15 1:00 and 3:00 p. m. everyday 23:17 and I'm with Nyse, 23:18 I'm in with his booth, SanareLife. 23:20 Oh, that's awesome, that's awesome. 23:22 Yeah, so we're partnering on this project. 23:24 That is so great, Yeah. 23:25 so your goal, then, is to take what you're doing 23:30 take this... this Living Life Fresh 23:32 and just take it all around the Country 23:34 so if people want you to come to their church... 23:38 To Churches, to Schools, to wherever, you know, 23:43 where there's a group of people 23:45 I want to share this message with them. 23:48 Yes and I'm partnering also with a couple of Master Gardeners 23:52 and we're going to go to Communities 23:55 and raise the Community Gardens as well 23:57 and then we're going to take the food from the garden 23:59 and teach them how to prepare them. 24:02 Wow! let's talk a little bit about that 24:04 we have about a minute left, 24:06 so, they are going to be like Urban Gardens? 24:10 Urban Gardens... yes... 24:12 I'm working with a couple of people that are Master Gardeners 24:14 in Dallas, gardeners in Dallas 24:16 and we're going to go into Communities 24:18 with just a small plot of land and just get small gardens 24:23 and then I will teach people 24:24 to take right from the garden 24:26 from the garden to the table. 24:28 Wow! Yes. 24:30 That's amazing. I'm so excited. 24:33 Well Evita, you are a blessing and what you're doing 24:36 is so necessary 24:39 we need it in our Communities so badly 24:41 because we are sick. Yes we are. 24:44 And if we don't change some things, 24:47 we're going to stay sick because you know, 24:50 you can't get well unless you do something different 24:53 if you're doing the same thing that you've always done, 24:56 you're going to stay sick, like you've always been, right? 25:00 And what's so crazy is that we have options 25:02 we have options 25:04 and some of them, we don't embrace. 25:05 That's right. We have it there. 25:07 And all of us don't have a garden 25:09 but we can go to the Supermarket 25:11 or we can go to Farmers' Market. 25:13 You can even put one in your apartment can't you? 25:16 You can even take little pots and you can plant tomatoes 25:21 you can plant Greens right there on your patio 25:26 and you can sprout, Yes. 25:29 sprout right in your kitchen Yes. 25:31 you don't have to have a garden. 25:33 That's tremendous, Evita, thank you, 25:35 I love you, you know I do. Thank you so much. 25:38 Thank you for being with us and God bless you 25:41 as you continue to what? Live Life Fresh! 25:44 Mmmm... Life Life Fresh 25:50 I love that little slogan and you know, 25:53 we really can make our diets better 25:57 by adding fresh fruits and vegetables 26:00 to our diet, 26:01 I know so many people that don't eat vegetables 26:04 some people in my family, I won't call any names, 26:07 but they eat a minimum amount of vegetables 26:11 and the important thing is to add vegetables 26:14 and fruits to the diet to give yourself 26:17 living foods, enzymes, 26:20 a lot of people don't make the connection 26:22 between what we eat and how we feel 26:24 or what we eat and our health status 26:27 really, that whole adage about, 26:29 "You are what you eat" is really true, 26:31 so think about adding some fresh food into your diet 26:36 and if you live in an area where, they call it a desert, 26:41 if you live in a "food desert" 26:43 where you can't get fresh fruits and vegetables, 26:46 go up to the Manager of the store and say, 26:49 "I need some more fresh fruits and vegetables here" 26:51 and if you get enough people that say that, 26:55 they will supply you with more fresh vegetables. 26:58 Thank you so much for joining us. 27:01 You know, we could not do this without you 27:03 and we really need your prayers and your financial support. 27:07 So many people have walked up to me 27:09 during the General Conference Sessions and they said, 27:13 "People have come to our church wanting to get baptized 27:16 just from watching Dare to Dream" 27:18 and that for me is the most heartwarming thing 27:21 because that's why we're here 27:23 and we couldn't do it without you, 27:25 we couldn't do it without your support 27:27 so ask the Holy Spirit what He would have you to do 27:30 and then, please consider sending us 27:33 a tax deductible love gift. 27:35 You can send it to: 27:36 Dare to Dream, PO Box 220 West Frankfort, IL 62896 27:43 again, that's Dare to Dream 27:44 PO Box 220 West Frankfort, IL 62896 27:50 or you can call: 618-627-4651 27:55 or just go to the website: D2DNetwork. tv 27:59 Well, thank you so much for joining us. 28:02 Join us next time because you know what? 28:04 It just wouldn't be the same without you. |
