00:19 welcome to the Breath of Life Television 00:21 Ministry broadcast with Pastor Debleaire Snell. In today's epi 00:27 Pastor Snell will continue part two 00:30 of the powerful message titled I Don't Know You Like That. 00:34 Now let's go deeper into the word of God. 00:38 I see. 00:38 The problem 00:39 is we still look into this text and say, Man, 00:40 I just don't believe that God can use me 00:42 the same way he use Paul. 00:43 See, I need to know that God 00:45 illustrates this in your life every day. 00:48 He shows you how available the Spirit is. 00:49 Because remember, Jesus says, if you being evil 00:53 know how to give good gifts to your children. 00:55 How much more with the Father? 00:57 Give the Holy Spirit 01:01 to them 01:02 that simply ask for him so that you realize that 01:07 when you turn on the faucet in your shower or in your sink. 01:11 How many of us know this? That you don't have to 01:12 wait a long time for the water to come? 01:17 Because I need to know that the faucet doesn't call for water. 01:22 The faucet just releases water. 01:25 In other words, it's already there. 01:28 It's already available. 01:29 And when you turn it, all you do is release 01:33 what has been standing there pressure wise and built up. 01:36 Waiting on somebody to call it. 01:38 And I need you to know 01:39 that when you ask for the Holy Spirit, 01:42 he ain't got to send the Holy Spirit. 01:45 He's just go release what's been there on the precipice, 01:49 waiting for you to let him come in 01:53 and have full access to your life. 01:56 You are hearing me today, friends. 01:57 So the word says here, and at chapter 19 and verse 13, 02:02 the word saints. 02:02 Then some of the itinerant Jewish 02:03 exercised, took it upon themselves to call 02:07 the name of the Lord Jesus. 02:08 Although those who had evil spirits saying, We exercise you 02:11 by Jesus whom Paul preaches. 02:16 The second thing this teaches us is, 02:18 is the danger of having form 02:22 without substance. 02:27 So the Bible says that 02:29 these men were Jewish itinerant exorcists. 02:34 In other words, what they did was they went around 02:37 casting out or claiming to cast out demons. 02:40 And this is how they made their living. 02:43 Now, I need you to get me what's going down here in Ephesus. 02:47 The emphasis is a place of high traffic and high visitation. 02:51 But emphasis has saints. 02:53 All streams or vibes flowing through the city. 02:57 In other words, 02:58 I need you to get what drives the culture is witchcraft 03:01 and magic and participation in the occult. 03:05 The primary deity of the area is the lady deities. 03:09 Diana, who literally drives the visitation 03:13 and the commerce of the town. 03:14 In other words, what's happening in emphasis 03:18 is that the powers of darkness rule the day. 03:21 They are absolutely killing the game. 03:23 But now you've got these seven sons of Steve 03:26 that have carved out a little bit of a niche 03:29 by claiming to cast out demons through the power of God. 03:33 But the problem is, Paul and the apostles are now moving 03:36 with such authentic force that they are stealing 03:40 the thunder of the Seven Sons of Shiva. 03:44 And now they try to piggyback on what Paul is doing. 03:48 Now, I need you to know who these brothers are. 03:50 The Bible says that these seven men 03:52 are the sons of a Jewish high priest. 03:56 In other words, they are not bad men. 04:00 They are simply children that grew up in church. 04:08 In other words, 04:09 they are kids that grew up living at the temple, 04:14 but they never got to know the God of the temple. 04:19 In other words, they grew up knowing the temple policy. 04:23 They knew Temple protocol. 04:24 They knew temple liturgy. 04:26 They knew the temple's dimensions. 04:28 They knew everything about the temple 04:32 except the God who was beyond the last veil. 04:36 In other words, friends, I need you to get that 04:38 they are such a group 04:39 that may have grown up 04:41 so much around church and religious things. 04:43 There is such a familiarity buzz muster 04:47 that they literally have contempt for the things of God, 04:49 and it's demonstrated by the fact 04:51 that they literally try to copy whatever the religious trend 04:55 is of the time. 04:57 And like many in our time, we're familiar 05:00 with the things of God, but we don't know 05:03 God for ourselves. 05:07 And it's interesting because God works 05:10 through personalities and human idiosyncrasies, Bobbie. 05:15 So it's crazy. 05:15 So they they watching Paul 05:18 and they study in everything he does. 05:21 And so because, man, Paul preaches 05:23 with a certain inflection in his voice, 05:26 man, they try to mimic 05:27 and and talk with the same inflection in their voice, 05:30 because Paul may speak with his hands. 05:33 Man They try to impersonate that before 05:34 they know what they talking with their hands 05:36 because man Paul has a certain lean when he walks. 05:39 They get right behind it, man. 05:40 And they try to walk, just like Paul did. 05:42 And Jesus for now, he because Paul has a certain accent. 05:46 They actually mimic his accent. 05:49 And see, the issue is they try to imitate Paul's form, 05:52 but they never make contact with the substance of his power. 05:57 And what they learn the hard way is that there are some demons 06:01 that don't respond to your religious form. 06:05 You can only be able to deal with them 06:07 if you've got your own substance in Jesus. 06:12 It's crazy 06:13 because I remember as a young pastor, 06:14 you know, 06:15 when you're still trying to figure your way out 06:16 and then what happens 06:17 is you kind of mimic those that you look up to. 06:20 So it's crazy because I remember as a little boy, 06:21 Malcolm's dad, Malcolm Senior, was our pastor man 06:23 because he clapped when he preached. 06:25 Man Sometimes I stole 06:26 some of that and I clap when I preach him. 06:29 And I remember Walter Pryor said he would use language 06:31 and tell stories. 06:33 And so now I stole a little bit of that, 06:36 and I got some of that inside of me, too. 06:37 And then I would watch. 06:38 Elder Cleveland hold the peels 06:40 and he would hold the appeal for, like 30 minutes. 06:42 And that's why I keep you all here 06:44 until the last person says yes to Jesus Christ. 06:48 I remember as a student, Elder Nixon would say 06:50 at the end of the sermon, Who believes the word of God? 06:52 And guess what? 06:54 I stole a little bit of that, a little bit of that, too. 06:56 But I need you to know, 06:57 I learned the hard way that you can have the public forum, 07:01 but until you get somewhere in a secret place 07:05 and begin meeting with God for yourself 07:08 because the anointing is not in the display. 07:10 It's not in being lectured. 07:12 It's not in how you present. 07:14 You only get that from a sacred place, 07:19 from God. 07:20 You are hear me today and see. 07:22 I need us to understand that the public demonstration 07:26 only flows out of private consecration 07:29 and see, I need us to understand that 07:30 we essentially do the same things as the Sons of Shiva, 07:35 because what we try to do is call on somebody else's Jesus 07:40 so that there are some of us that are children of the temple. 07:44 And what we do is we know how to say Hallelujah 07:46 just right in church. 07:48 We know how to wave our hands as if we are in the spirit. 07:54 We know all the words to the praise team songs. 07:57 We know how to class our hands and close our eyes 08:00 like we're under anointing and we even pray 08:04 in the same vernacular that we had our parents pray in. 08:08 But how many of us know that the authority 08:10 is not in the form of religious expression? 08:14 You got to go somewhere where you are unseen 08:17 and have a meeting with Jesus 08:18 and get filled with the Holy Spirit. 08:21 Because one day you go, come upon a devil. 08:27 That's goal revealed that you might have the form, 08:31 but you 08:32 ain't got no substance behind it 08:36 said doesn't matter how much Mama knew God 08:39 doesn't matter how much Granddaddy knew God. 08:42 If you don't know Him for yourself, 08:45 you're opening yourself up to the enemy. 08:47 All y'all hear what I'm saying today 08:49 and say, I want to just say to those 08:50 who are the sons and daughters of the temple. 08:52 You grew up in it. You were born into it. 08:55 But I need to know it's not enough to be born into it. 08:57 You got to be born again. 08:59 You got to be saved. 09:01 You got to be sanctified. 09:02 You got to be filled with the Holy. 09:05 Are y'all hearing the pastor today 09:09 is crazy. 09:10 It's not enough to have the before. 09:12 You got to know Jesus for yourself. 09:14 Remember that? 09:15 I remember growing up 09:16 we would go to the gym and our local city 09:17 when we played our basketball on Saturday nights 09:20 and it's crazy. 09:21 There was this one guy, he was dark skinned, he was ball hit. 09:23 He'd come out kind of muscular. 09:24 He looked just like Michael Jordan. 09:28 And the crazy thing is, when he came to the gym, 09:29 he came in and a Chicago Bulls jersey had on a michael 09:33 Jordan jersey, had on Jordan shorts, had on Jordan socks 09:39 had on Jordan shoes had a Jordan bag. 09:44 But the crazy thing is he had Jordan form, 09:48 but he had will produce game. 09:49 You'll not hear me today. 09:51 In other words, 09:52 what he did was he had the public form of Jordan, 09:57 but he was nowhere in a gym with no one looking 10:01 and developing his game because the game takes time, 10:05 the game takes sacrifice, the game takes commitment. 10:08 But the easy thing to do is to look like Mike 10:12 and see. 10:13 The problem is we got too many believers 10:15 that look like Mike, but we got Smush Parker character. 10:23 Are y'all hearing what I'm saying today? 10:25 And what I'm saying is you can't just have the form of Jesus. 10:29 Matter of fact, that's what Paul says. 10:31 He says, in the last days, 10:32 you're going 10:33 to have a lot of folks that have the form of godliness, 10:36 but they're going to be denying the power thereof. 10:38 Y'all hear what I'm saying today? 10:40 And see friends of what I'm calling you 10:41 today, too, is private consecration, 10:45 where we meet with God with no one else around. 10:47 I'm saying, 10:49 you got to get into the habit of opening up your Bible 10:51 and digesting large chapters of the 10:53 are y'all with the pastor today 10:54 where you got to pray when no one else's around 10:58 where you seek God and you learn how to have stillness? 11:00 See the problem with 11:01 some of what's the reason prayer time feels so long in church 11:04 is because you ain't got no 11:05 prayer life outside of the benediction. 11:08 The reason praise and worship feels so long 11:11 is because you don't make 11:12 no melody from your heart when it's just you and Jehovah. 11:16 See, see, the problem with some of us is that my scripture 11:18 reading is the most Bible you read all week long. 11:22 And what I'm saying to the contemporary church 11:24 is that we got to get back to the old way 11:25 marks of prayer and say, Well, you know what you believe. 11:30 You know why you believe it. 11:31 You don't just believe every opinion on Facebook, 11:35 but you study to show that self approved on to God 11:39 because you know the word for yourself 11:43 are y'all hear what I'm saying? 11:45 And it's crazy. 11:47 I need you to know that when you have private time with God, 11:50 church will be that much better when you come see. 11:56 I need you to understand the reason you feel leave church 11:59 feeling empty is cause you wait all week long. 12:04 But if you go seven days without eating, 12:08 no matter what you eat in that next meal, you're going to 12:10 still leave hungry. 12:11 Oh, y'all not hear me today? 12:13 I see. This is why friends of mine. 12:14 I like these old school saints. Well, guess what, man? 12:17 They don't have to call and ask who's preaching? 12:19 They don't have to call and ask who's singing. Why? 12:21 Because they're going to have some time with Jesus 12:24 before they leave. 12:25 And guess what? Church is gonna be good 12:28 no matter what happens on the platform. 12:30 Because for some of us, worship started at 11, 12:33 but for the rest, worship started around six eight. 12:35 Yeah, we already been meeting with Jesus. 12:39 For some of us, worship is an appetizer, 12:43 but for the rest, worship should be dessert. 12:47 Hmm. In 12:48 other words, church shouldn't be your starter. 12:52 Church ought to be the icing on top of the cake. 12:54 Oh, y'all not hear me? 12:55 In other words, some of us, we're going to be blessed 12:58 one way or the other, 13:00 because you didn't wait till you got to church to praise. 13:04 But you woke up and said, This is the day that the Lord 13:07 has made. 13:08 I will rejoice and be glad in it. 13:12 Somebody woke up and said, like David, I was glad 13:16 when they said unto me, Let us go into the House of the Lord. 13:22 Somebody said, I'm not going to praise the Lord. 13:25 I'm coming with praise for the Lord. 13:27 I'm going enter into His gates 13:29 with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. 13:33 Somebody testify that from the rising of the sun 13:37 to the going down of the same, 13:41 that the name of the Lord is to be praise. 13:45 Is there anybody grateful today for His mercy and grace? 13:49 You don't need a praise team. 13:51 You don't need a choir. 13:53 You don't need a preacher. 13:55 I ain't got to force you to south. 13:57 Hallelujah. 13:58 I need those old school saints who just say 14:01 when I think of the goodness of Jesus 14:06 and all He's done for me, 14:09 my soul cries Hallelujah. 14:12 Thank God for saving a wretch 14:15 like me. Oh, 14:20 see, see 14:21 sometimes church Sometimes I come to church. 14:25 Sometimes you got to do what I call pre eating 14:29 now since it is too loud. 14:31 But every now and then when I'm going to a potluck or dinner 14:38 and I'm not sure if it's going to be good 14:41 or Kevin if I know it ain't good, 14:45 I don't go on an empty stomach. 14:48 I'm going get a little snack in my office 14:51 and I'm going to preach all not here 14:54 so that even if it ain't no good, guess what? 14:57 I'm still straight because I eat something before I got there. 15:03 And how many of us know 15:04 that sometimes before you come to church, 15:07 you better pre eat something before you come. 15:11 So just in case the pastor hindered 15:14 that day and the song Gay Rights. 15:16 Guess what? 15:17 You still need the praise on your lips 15:20 because you hate something before you came. 15:24 Are y'all hear me today, friends, 15:28 first thing this teaches us. What's this? 15:31 Oh, this is good. 15:34 It shows that 15:35 the anointed receive favor from God 15:39 and the anointed get deference from Satan. 15:42 Oh, I got yours. 15:45 So, do you realize 15:49 this shows us that the anointed get favor from God, 15:53 but they also get deference 15:55 from the devil. 16:00 Are y'all hearing this today? 16:03 The anointed get favor from God 16:08 and the anointed are even 16:10 shown deference by the enemy. 16:13 Now, you know 16:15 this thing is a wonder to now we say, hey, 16:17 got this on Facebook Live. 16:21 We're like men. 16:21 These boys are out there, man. 16:23 I mean, they they I mean, listen, they didn't they didn't 16:26 call that man a lot of folk that had demons. 16:30 But this day they came up on the wrong one. 16:34 And before I saw this, you know what this shows 16:36 a friend of mine is that you ought to be careful 16:39 and have some reverence 16:40 about how you treat the work of God, cos 16:45 they're like the old school preachers would say, 16:46 be careful before you jump in a pulpit 16:49 on a deacon spits out a door behind a mic or in a choir loft 16:53 because when you do that, you enter 16:54 into a whole new realm of spiritual warfare. 16:59 You ain't got to be perfect, but you can't be pretending. 17:01 Are y'all hearing the pastor today? 17:05 So you gotta see that side. 17:07 I mean, to join is kind of absurd and comical. 17:09 Some in there watching Paul's the way 17:11 what man they're watching the way he uses his hands. 17:15 They're watching the way that he talks. 17:16 They're watching his voice inflection. 17:18 And it's crazy because this demon just walks by. 17:20 He's just minding his own business. 17:22 This devil a messing with nobody, man. 17:25 And I've learned that if a devil name 17:26 messing with nobody, you might not need to mess with him. 17:29 I mean, he's just 17:30 living his best life, going in his own business. 17:33 But now and then, that's what they standing like. 17:34 Paul And they're communicating like. 17:36 Paul They got Paul's inflection, but man, they literally 17:40 say, Man, we cast you out 17:43 in the name of Jesus 17:46 whom Paul preaches about. 17:50 They don't call on their own. 17:52 Jesus. 17:53 They try to get anointing through association. 17:57 It is crazy because this devil stops 18:00 in his tracks and turns around and look at them. 18:07 Maybe his eyes were green or blue, but now they show up. 18:11 Fire red to show another actor has taken control 18:17 and perhaps he does not speak in a man's voice, 18:21 but multiple voices come from outside of him. 18:26 And notice what the devil says. 18:28 He says, Paul, 18:31 I know, 18:34 Jesus, I know. 18:38 But your homie. 18:39 I don't know you like that. 18:42 And I don't know exactly how he does it. 18:45 Maybe he's 18 or 20 feet away, and before we know it, 18:49 he leaps upon them and one bout. 18:51 And the Bible says the one man with supernatural strength 18:56 overwhelms seven man, and the Bible says 18:59 he beats them, but he bloody sends them out naked. 19:04 And that's a running home, the devil says. 19:06 Now, one tale that's now. 19:12 I'm not sure if y'all got what he just did 19:16 before he came for them. 19:18 He showed a certain amount 19:20 of deference to the anointed. 19:24 He says, I'm going to do to you 19:27 what I would never do to Jesus. 19:30 I'm going to come for you in a way. 19:33 I would never come for you all. Not here hearing this. 19:36 He say, Man, I'm going 19:37 come at you in a way I wouldn't come at the anointed. Why? 19:42 Because he's saying when I see the anointed, 19:46 I see a covering. 19:48 I see I had I see a power that I can't fool 19:53 let that be annoyed that got something that I can't breach 19:59 They got to protect and system that I can't penetrate. 20:02 So there are 20:03 certain attacks that I send and they are not done anointed. 20:07 But he I this idea by touching 20:09 the Lord's anointed that way. 20:12 Now again, I don't want to call us too presumptuous. 20:15 I'm not saying the devil won't attack, but what he knows 20:18 is that I just can't come with outside force. 20:23 He says that no one's going. 20:24 You are so strong. 20:27 I can't just come and run roughshod all over you. 20:30 He says. 20:31 I'm going to attack, but I ain't going, man. 20:32 Run my head up against a brick wall. 20:35 I know how that's going for me. 20:37 So he says, the only way I can attack you 20:40 is to get you from there, come from behind 20:43 that hedge and enter 20:45 over into the devil's terrain. 20:50 You got a heads around you so great 20:54 that the devil says, I can't even waste my time like that 20:58 because I know I can't defeat God's head. 21:01 All right. 21:02 I'm a preacher sister later on down the line. 21:04 But do you remember the day in Joe chapter one 21:06 where the Sons of God came to present themselves to God 21:09 and guess what? 21:10 The Bible says that Satan came also. 21:13 And so God says to Satan, from whence do you come? 21:17 He says, from walking back and forth in the earth 21:19 and from walking up and down on it, and notice what God says. 21:23 He says, Have you considered my servant, Joe? 21:27 Notice what the Devil says. 21:29 He doesn't have to look up Joe. 21:32 He doesn't have to look him up on Instagram. 21:34 He says, Yes, I know who Jobe is. 21:37 You've got a heads around this family. 21:39 You've got a heads around this house. 21:41 You've got a heads around this possesses. 21:44 You've got a heads around everything he has on every side. 21:48 Now, the question is, how does he know 21:53 that God had a heads around Joe? 21:56 It stands to reason 21:58 that he had already tried, 22:02 but he can penetrate 22:04 the heads that God put around his servant. 22:08 Are you all hearing me today, Trance? 22:11 And what I'm saying to somebody today is that 22:13 God has got a heads around you, he's got an anointing. 22:18 So strong that the Devil cannot penetrate it. 22:22 He cannot overwhelm it. 22:24 The only thing he can do is to entice you to come from 22:27 behind. It's 22:30 now, I'm hoping that the Church of the Living 22:34 God is getting the point. 22:41 This is the point. 22:43 We walk around here 22:46 on edge, 22:48 nervous about the devil's attack. 22:53 But did you did you see what just what the devil said itself? 22:56 He confessed unexpectedly. 22:59 He says, man, sometimes the anointed walk around, 23:02 scared of me, but man, 23:07 I'm actually scared of them. 23:10 And what this message is about France, 23:13 it is about us reclaiming the spirit 23:15 to authority that God has 23:18 said is ours in the Scriptures. 23:22 No longer should the Body of Christ walk around 23:26 afraid of the Devil, exalting in its power, 23:30 talking about how the devil got his foot all over my neck. 23:34 I need to know, do I have at least 12 blood wash? 23:37 Holy Ghost feel saturated states of the most high 23:40 God that can say greater is he 23:44 that is in me then he that is in the world. 23:48 I need somebody to lay claim to acts one in verse eight 23:52 that you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost 23:55 has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses of me 23:59 and Jerusalem and Judea, 24:01 and to the uttermost ends of the Earth. 24:03 I'm looking for some saints that know that we are more 24:07 than conquerors in Christ Jesus. 24:11 I'm looking for some saints that know that the Kingdom 24:14 suffers violence but the violent take it by force. 24:18 I'm looking for some saints that know 24:22 that all things work together for good to them, they love 24:25 the Lord and are called according to His purpose. 24:29 I'm looking for some saints that know that 24:31 when you pray, the devil trembles and he flees. 24:36 Is there anybody that still knows 24:40 that there is power 24:43 in the name of Jesus? 24:46 Oh, I did some Pentecostal. 24:50 Happiness in this place today 24:54 that no, when you pray in Jesus name, 24:58 sickness has to flee, 25:00 leprosy has to submit. 25:03 Demons have to come out. 25:06 I need some folks that know that when you. 25:09 Pray in its name provision is made available, 25:14 churches get revived, kids come back to church. 25:18 Is there anybody that knows that when you pray 25:21 in his name, saints get overcome. 25:25 Strongholds get a broken, addictions gets off, fast out. 25:30 I need somebody to know that when you pray in his name, 25:34 you can cast down imaginations and every high thing 25:39 that exalted itself against the knowledge of God. 25:44 While we walking around said, 25:47 Why are we walking around scared? 25:49 Why are we walking around pitiful? 25:51 Go in his name after this name, call on his name, 25:57 pray in his name Believe in his name. 26:01 Hope in his name Anticipate in his name 26:05 and receive in the name of Jesus. 26:11 Somebody say Jesus, Jesus. 26:16 Jesus, there is power. 26:20 When we call. 26:22 On that name, that. 26:34 For the past 49 years, 26:36 Breath of life has been presenting the Gospel of Jesus 26:39 Christ from a contemporary urban perspective. 26:43 In 2023, we plan to grow our reach, 26:47 and your donations are what help make that possible. 26:51 This year, our major goal is to launch our Breath of Life 26:54 weekly broadcast into five new cities. 26:58 In addition, we're excited to introduce our new Breath of 27:01 Life Kids platform 27:02 with original content created with your little ones in mind, 27:07 we will continue with innovative program, dynamic preaching 27:12 and sharing the gospel through evangelistic campaigns. 27:15 Here are the five ways that you can get. 27:18 You can give online at Breath of Life that TV by mail P.O. 27:23 Box 5960 Huntsville, Alabama 35814 27:29 by phone at area code 2569296460 or by texting the phrase 27:37 give the number to be AOL TV 27:40 to 188364 give or buy 27:45 cash app at dollar sign breath of life TV. 27:49 Every single dollar 27:50 you give goes right back into the ministry and allows us 27:54 to share the good news of Jesus Christ all over the world. 27:58 We pray that God's favor will overtake you 28:01 as a result of your generous gifts. 28:03 The breath of life. 28:04 God bless you. 28:07 (Breath of Life Theme Music) |
