00:19 Welcome to The Breath of Life Television Ministries 00:22 broadcast with Pastor Debleaire Snell. 00:26 In today's episode, Pastor Snell 00:29 will continue part two of the powerful message. 00:33 Take what's yours. 00:36 Now let's go deeper into the word of God. 00:40 In other words, I need somebody to understand 00:44 that when God tells you to fill out the application, 00:47 don't spend a whole lot of time 00:48 worrying about who's going to read the application. 00:52 Just do your part and fill out the application. 00:55 Don't spend a whole lot of time waiting on 00:57 who is going to be the one to financially clear you. 01:01 Just do your part and fill out the aid 01:03 and watch God do the rest. 01:05 In other words, 01:06 I need somebody to stop waiting for everything to come together 01:10 and just do your part in obedience. 01:15 And God is going to do the rest. 01:17 And while I'm here, can I tell you, stop worrying 01:20 about when Jesus is going to come. 01:25 Just do your part and be ready whenever He comes. 01:29 Because if he went to prepare a place, 01:33 thank God he's preparing a people 01:36 and other prepared person. 01:38 It doesn't matter when I get to the place you are here. 01:41 Me today. Church. 01:44 Third thing I want to say real quick is this 01:46 is that never let opinions 01:50 become your master. 01:58 This is blowing my mind right now 02:02 because at this point, 02:04 help me, Lord, calm down. 02:08 He's worried more about 02:11 what they might say 02:14 than what God is saying. 02:20 God already told him that. 02:21 Listen, I'm 02:22 going to set it up to where they will heed your voice. 02:26 And yet Moses sits there arguing 02:29 with the one who made them 02:33 and said, The problem with Moses is that he is so behold done 02:38 to what his people might have to say to him 02:42 that he is about to miss out on a miracle. 02:45 In fact, literally there are some of us that are out of place 02:48 that we cannot hear what God is saying 02:52 because we're so contaminated by what people might say. 02:58 And it's an interesting thing. 02:59 CHURCH Because Moses, his fear 03:03 is not that it's going to fail. 03:07 His fear is, what are they going to say if it fails? 03:12 Because some of us would rather endure the scorn of God 03:16 than the scoffing of people. 03:19 And what happens, friends, is that over time, outward 03:22 opinions become and I know 03:26 I need you to get that your God is not just 03:29 the one you pray to, are the one you lift hands toward. 03:33 Your God is the one whose approval you seek. 03:36 In other words, who is the one that you're 03:38 worried about the most? 03:40 Are you worry more about what man says, about what God says? 03:44 And there are some of our students that chose a certain 03:47 major simply because your parents 03:49 or grandparents said, This is what you ought to do. 03:53 There are some of us 03:54 that will resist the Gospel Appeal each week 03:57 because you're scared about what 03:58 somebody is going to think 04:00 or what problem they think that you are going to have. 04:03 There are some of us 04:04 that are afraid to embrace all that God has called us to 04:08 because we're afraid 04:09 of what people are going to think 04:10 about the way it is that we are moving. 04:14 But do I have at least 12 folks that are living to hear 04:16 two words? 04:17 You just want to hear Jesus say, well done, 04:20 good and faithful servants. 04:25 And this is interesting. 04:26 Church because Moses is absolutely missing 04:31 the moment. 04:35 Do you realize that your calling 04:39 is a complement to. 04:47 No, no, we're missing the church. 04:49 Your calling is the highest compliment 04:55 that God can ever place upon you. 04:59 In other words, Moses is missing this moment, Ralph, 05:02 because God literally bypasses everybody in Egypt. 05:06 He looks over everyone in Israel, 05:09 he looks over every one in Midian, and he puts 05:13 the assignment on him. 05:16 And what I'm saying, Francis, you got to see it 05:18 as a compliment, 05:19 because how many of us know we are not a divine necessity? 05:22 You're a divine preference. 05:25 Oh, Jesus. 05:27 See, I need you to know that God does needs you. 05:30 God just wants you. 05:33 He just prefers you. 05:35 He just likes having you around. 05:38 God just has a bend in your direction. 05:41 Shit. See? 05:42 You got to get it out of your head. 05:44 That's a divine necessity. 05:46 Because when you think you're unnecessary, 05:48 when you think you're a necessit 05:53 see? And you come to God with terms and conditions. 05:57 But how many of us know 05:58 we ain't got no leverage with the Almighty God? 06:02 We run around telling God that I'll do this if you do that. 06:06 But how many of us know God doesn't make recommendations 06:10 and God doesn't make bills deals with His own creation? 06:14 I hear me today, church and I just need to know 06:17 that God called you not because he needed you. 06:21 He just wanted you. 06:23 Oh, God, 06:24 I'm a shadow on this all by myself. 06:26 God just prefers you. 06:31 God just likes talking to you. 06:34 You. God just likes being around you for anybody. 06:38 Grateful that God just loves your company. 06:41 Y'all not hearing this today. 06:42 I see y'all. 06:44 I never praise God like this before. 06:46 We praise God because he loves us. 06:49 But how many of us know love is his nature? 06:52 But he likes you because it's your preference. 06:55 Can anybody praise him that he likes me? 06:58 He likes talking to me. 07:00 He likes walking with me. 07:03 He likes being with me. 07:05 He likes calling me his own. 07:07 I know he loves the world, but does anybody believe 07:11 he just likes me? 07:13 Oh, God. 07:16 He likes having you in close proximity with him. 07:20 Y'all not hear me today? Oh, the young forward. Get it? 07:23 See how many of us know on social media 07:24 that when you post something, all likes are not created equal. 07:29 In other words, that you might get a lot of likes, 07:31 but when the certain person likes it, 07:35 it means just a little bit more. 07:38 Matter of fact, I remember about eight years ago 07:39 we did a little protest me and some pastors against the NFL 07:44 because of how 07:44 they were 07:45 treating Colin Kaepernick 07:46 and we had a video that went viral like 10 million times. 07:49 But there were a lot of people that liked it. 07:51 But there were certain people when they liked it, 07:54 it meant a little bit more. 07:55 So when Shannon Sharpe liked it, it meant a little bit more. 08:00 When Tyler Perry liked it, y'all not hear it meant a little bit 08:03 more when Steve Harvey liked it, it meant a little bit more. 08:07 And what I'm saying 08:08 is that maybe a lot of people don't like you, 08:11 but when God says, I liked you, 08:14 and out of 08:15 me a little bit more, it ought to carry 08:18 a little more weight in other feel you a little bit longer. 08:23 So I thank God for all of your likes. 08:26 But can anybody praise him that he likes us? 08:30 Y'all are hearing me today, Prince. 08:34 This is for thing this teaches us. 08:38 Is that excuse lets people 08:41 use what they have. 08:46 Okay, go. 08:48 A little rough ride in here. 08:50 So God says to Moses, 08:53 What's in your hand? 08:57 Okay, the larger question is, Moses, 09:00 what do you have at your disposal? 09:05 Moses What are your available assets? 09:10 Moses What do you have 09:13 that if I submit it to me, I can use it 09:18 to change the entire trajectory of your life. 09:21 Moses What's in your hand? 09:24 And Moses say is all I got. Lord is a rod. 09:28 And it's crazy because the Bible says that. 09:29 He tells him to cast it on the ground 09:33 and the rod becomes a serpent. 09:37 And what God is showing Moses is this, is that super natural 09:41 things can be done with ordinary things 09:46 that come from obedient hands, 09:52 because up to this point, Moses assumes that this rod 09:55 can only be used for one of three or four purposes. 09:59 Sometimes these rods will come with a hook or lasso on them, 10:02 and he will use his rod 10:03 to pull sheep from string and back into alignment. 10:07 Maybe Moses would use his rod to be able to fight off wolves 10:11 or mountain lions that threaten the well-being of the flock. 10:14 Or maybe as Moses walked through uneven terrain, 10:18 he would use this rod to help maintain his balance. 10:21 Maybe Church Moses has had this rod for a minute. 10:25 Maybe he's been walking with it for 45 years. 10:28 He didn't realize that it had any miraculous potential. 10:31 But when Moses began to use this rod 10:36 with obedient hands, God began to do supernatural things. 10:41 So, friends, this same rod 10:44 that he 10:45 used to fight wolves, this same rod 10:49 that he used to discipline sheep, this same rod 10:54 that he used to keep his balance was the same rod 10:58 that he dipped in the water in front of Pharaoh, 11:01 and the waters became like blood. 11:04 It is this same rod that he pointed toward the heavens, 11:08 and all of a sudden hell began to fall out of the sky. 11:11 God took that same rod. 11:13 When he struck the ground. 11:14 Life began to overtake the land. 11:17 It is the same rod that he points toward the east, 11:21 and armies of locusts come and destroy the harvest. 11:24 It is with this same rod that he points toward the Red Sea, 11:27 and it opens up 11:29 and the Fort Walk through on dry ground with this same rod. 11:32 He strikes 11:33 the rock and water comes out and satisfies the people. 11:37 But I need you to know that God didn't do every miracle 11:40 using the rod. 11:42 Sometimes he used acid. 11:45 Sometimes Moses pointed his hand. 11:48 Sometimes he stressed out his arms. 11:50 And the miracle took place. 11:51 And why didn't God always use the rod? 11:55 Because he never wanted Moses to become superstitious 11:58 about the rod. 11:59 He was never supposed to think the idol was the one that did it 12:03 because the miracle was not in the rod. 12:06 The miracle was in obedient hands. 12:11 And when you have obedient 12:14 hands, your hand will create miracles. 12:17 Your hammer will create miracles. 12:20 Your computer will create miracles. 12:23 Your camera can't create miracles. 12:26 Your make up stick can't create miracles. 12:28 I need you to know God does miracles when those youths, 12:34 what they have with obedient hands. 12:39 Why am I preaching this? 12:41 Because if you really about that life, young person, 12:44 you're not going to sit around waiting for everything 12:47 to fall in place and every objection to be removed. 12:51 You just going to put your obedient hands to work. 12:54 So if you're really about that content creation, life 12:57 doing away to 12:58 you got all the equipment in your garage 12:59 you going to take your iPhone and a gamble 13:03 and you're going to walk around here and make masterpieces. 13:05 If you're serious about your art. 13:08 You don't wait till somebody gives you a scholarship. 13:10 If you serious, take your paint brush 13:12 and the side of an abandoned building. 13:13 Oh, I didn't say that out loud. 13:15 Take some paper and a parchment and create your masterpieces 13:18 with it. 13:20 I need somebody to know that there's a brother here 13:22 at Bridge Street Mall that plays the saxophone. 13:26 He is sitting around waiting to be discovered by Quincy Jones. 13:31 He's just going to take what's in his hands 13:34 and God is going to bless the efforts. 13:36 There are some theology major 13:37 waiting on me to give them a chance to preach here. 13:41 But if you came preach in a nursing home, 13:43 if you can't preach in a jail, 13:45 if you came preach at a street corner, 13:47 you will never stand in this spot. 13:49 You got to use what is in your hands. 13:55 Y'all hear me today? Church? 13:57 And the 13:58 question for somebody is what's in your hands? 14:02 What's at your disposal? 14:04 What are the resources that you are neglecting? 14:06 And overlooking and bypassing because you feel like 14:08 you don't have enough? 14:11 I need you to know that God is faithful 14:13 so that whatever you have is enough. 14:17 You can see David realize 14:21 I'll get killed if I try to put on Saul's armor. 14:24 So I'm just 14:25 going to use the slingshot that was already in my hands, 14:29 and I'm going to use that to kill Goliath. 14:32 When they were in the wilderness with Jesus 14:35 and there were 5000 men, not even including the women, 14:38 Jesus just asked, Philip, what do you have? 14:39 And Philip just found a little boy's lunch, 14:41 and God took the two fish and five loaves, 14:44 and he fed over 10,000. 14:45 All the little boy did was submit 14:47 whatever it is that he had was in his hands. 14:50 And what I need 14:51 somebody to know is that little steel becomes much 14:56 when you place it in the masses hands. 14:59 And I'm still trying to awaken. 15:01 The dream is I still prayed. 15:03 Help me, Holy Ghost, 15:04 I need you to know that a pen in obedient hands 15:08 is going to write the next bestseller. 15:12 Oh, that's from equipment. 15:14 And Obedient Hands is going to record the next platinum album. 15:20 I need somebody to know that's a medicine and obedient 15:22 hands is going to give us the cure for cancer. 15:26 I wish I had some believers in this room. 15:29 Got a Bible in obedient hands. 15:32 Is going to help tear down the kingdom of darkness. 15:34 But we don't need more equipment. 15:36 We don't need more resources. 15:39 We don't need more support. 15:40 We just need some obedient hands 15:45 to do what God has called us to do. 15:48 So what's this last thing I need you to know? 15:50 The last thing this teaches us is that excuse this. 15:53 People aren't tentative. 15:59 So the World Series Church says 16:02 that. God says, what do you have? 16:04 So I got a rock. 16:12 So God says, Take the rock. 16:15 Throw it on the ground. 16:17 And the Bible says that the rod 16:21 becomes a serpents. 16:26 Now, we're not told 16:27 what kind of snake it is, 16:30 but that's doing this so vicious that the word says 16:34 Moses runs to the other side of the mountain from it. 16:37 Now I'm trying to figure out church man. 16:40 Would I have had Moses faith? 16:42 Because when. 16:43 When, when it turns into a serpent 16:47 angle that conversation over, I'm like, Lord, just kill me 16:51 cause we ain't going like it going out like that. 16:54 I hear what I'm saying in church. 16:56 So. So God says I want you to take it to God 16:59 doesn't say, All right, Moses, I'm gonna turn it into a rod. 17:05 Then you pick it back up. 17:11 God says, Moses, 17:13 I need you to pick it up while it's still a snake. 17:18 See y'all acting boujee and brand new. 17:21 Only cause y'all know how the story is going to end. 17:24 But I need you to see yourself in Moses shoes. 17:28 Because, see, 17:28 one of the things you got to learn 17:30 about the journey of faith is that God ain't never trying 17:33 to make it comfortable. 17:39 He never tries to make it convenient. 17:43 He creates a scenario where you don't have to depend 17:47 upon him every step of the way. 17:51 So I need you to see, as I'm trying to say, 17:55 if I'm Moses, how am I going to manage this? 17:56 Because Moses runs. 17:57 Because this thing is so vicious. 17:59 It's because even if a separate drive was usually about six 18:04 or seven feet long, when it hits the ground, it means the snake 18:08 is at least that big. 18:11 So. So God is saying, I want you to go grab the snake 18:15 by the tail. 18:16 So why are you acting brand new 18:18 when Moses walks over to the snake? 18:21 What he's hearing is this. 18:31 Oh, you still love the Lord, right? 18:35 He's hearing this 18:37 and he sees it 18:42 and God is saying, 18:45 Go grab it right here. 18:51 Are y'all with me? 18:52 Church Dude, do you see the conundrum 18:57 that that Moses is in? 18:59 And it's crazy because the word says that 19:02 he runs from it. 19:06 In other words, the rod is his, 19:10 but he's running from it. 19:13 The Lord is a part 19:16 of His destiny, 19:19 but he's running from it. 19:21 The rod is going to help open doors. 19:25 Oh, but he's running from it. 19:28 The rod is intimidating him. 19:31 The rod is frightening him. 19:33 The rod is scaring him. 19:35 And he's running. Go ahead and cut this. 19:37 Somebody out and got distracted and lost our way 19:41 and is crazy because he's running 19:45 from the very moment that he prayed for. 19:49 See how many of us know that sometimes destiny 19:53 disguises itself as destruction. 19:57 And the same way Moses runs from the serpent. 20:02 Some of us are running from the opportunities 20:04 that we prayed for because it is intimidating. 20:08 It's not easy. 20:10 It's not convenient. 20:12 It's as scary as a rattlesnake to some of us 20:17 out here in this church. 20:20 And then on top of this, 20:22 God, don't get Moses no easy way out here. 20:26 Don't say grab him by the head. 20:30 You don't say grab him by the body, 20:32 which is still not a good idea. 20:34 But he says, grab him by the tail. 20:39 Now, how many of us know? 20:40 Like, the worst thing you can do to any animal 20:43 is grab him by the tail. 20:46 In other words, he is literally asking Moses 20:49 to almost commit a suicidal act. 20:53 I'm like, Lord, give me a, give them some. 20:55 Let me come by the head. I mean, still not a good idea. 20:58 What do you get about a hedge? 21:00 You might have a chance, but he says, Moses, 21:04 I want you to take it. 21:12 I want you to take him. 21:15 Okay. 21:17 I want you to take him by the tail. 21:21 That word take in the Hebrew is the word a con. 21:25 It doesn't just mean to caress. 21:29 It does not mean to touch. 21:32 It does not mean to just reach out and grab. 21:35 It literally means to take possession of 21:40 it means to take authority off it. 21:44 It means to take ownership of it. 21:47 See, the problem is it's a snake, 21:49 but it's still this rod. 21:52 And what God is saying to Moses is, I need you to take 21:56 what's already yours and see, I need you to know 22:00 that he's not just giving Moses an instruction. 22:03 He's giving Moses a strategy. 22:07 He's saying, Moses, don't try to sneak up on it, Moses. 22:12 Don't hesitate, Moses. 22:14 Don't be gentle with it. 22:16 Because if you reach out 22:17 and you're hesitant, it's gonna bite you. 22:20 If you roll up gento, it's going by, Chip. 22:23 If you walk up on it, pass him is going to bite you. 22:27 If you walk up like you don't belong is gonna bite you. 22:30 So he says when you walk up on this snake, 22:33 I need you to act like this already yours. 22:37 I need you to act like his already done. 22:40 I need you to take possession 22:43 of what's already yours. 22:46 And I guess Moses has just made up his mind 22:49 that if I disobey God, I'm gonna die. 22:52 If I hit the snake, I'm gonna die. 22:55 So if I'm gonna die, 22:57 I might as well die serving the Lord. 23:00 Do I have any folk today 23:03 that said with them, it's gonna be trouble? 23:06 If I disobey God, it's gonna be trouble. 23:09 But I'm gonna have trouble. 23:12 It ain't gonna be with all snakes. 23:16 I'm going to obey the voice of God. 23:19 And I can see Moses walking up on the snake. 23:22 He's bracing himself for bites, 23:25 but he doesn't reach out tentative. 23:28 He just takes what his hands. 23:31 And when he grabs the tail, 23:33 it becomes a rod again. 23:36 And the miracle happens 23:39 when he operates with obedient hands. 23:43 What's the word for somebody today? 23:46 I need you to stop walking around, tentative 23:49 and ambivalent and afraid. 23:52 And I need you to take possession 23:54 of what God has already shown you. 23:57 You'll hear me today, Church. 23:58 In other words, brother in the balcony. 24:01 Stop staring at her across the way. 24:04 God has put your. 24:06 Put her in your sight. 24:08 So after the benediction, go ahead and step 24:11 to take your shot. 24:15 Take what God is telling you. 24:16 Not hear me today. 24:19 In other words, church, don't 24:21 sit around waiting on somebody to give you a scholarship. 24:26 Walk into the financial aid office, say, 24:28 I'm not leaving until you bless me. 24:32 Take what's yours. 24:35 There is somebody on a job interview today. 24:38 Don't walk in there with two knees buckling. 24:40 Walk in with some Holy Ghost swagger. 24:43 Like you belong in there. 24:45 And after you're done with the interview, 24:47 tell the employer. 24:49 Cancel all of the interview. 24:52 Your right person is right here. 24:54 Take what's yours. 24:56 God is showing you the house. 24:59 The finances are not in order. 25:01 The credit is not great. 25:03 But stay with the process. 25:05 I need you to take what's yours. 25:08 Stop sitting around here admiring 25:10 everybody else's marriage. 25:12 Husband, take your wife. 25:14 Wife, take your husband and walk to the altar 25:19 and call on God and take what's yours. 25:23 There is somebody worried about failing health. 25:27 Don't just sit there and complain. 25:29 Get some walking shoes. 25:31 Get a bottle of water. 25:33 Get your exercise gear. 25:35 Start moving 25:37 and take 25:40 what's yours. 25:41 If you're worried about. 25:43 Can I receive the Holy Ghost?
