00:04 #S078 - “If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It (Part 2)
00:19 Welcome to The Breath of Life 00:21 Television Ministries Broadcast with Pastor Debleire Snell. 00:25 In today's episode, Pastor Snell will continue part 00:29 two of the powerful message “If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It” 00:33 Now let's go deeper into the word of God. 00:38 In other words, they don't want to be in a posture 00:41 where they have to be faithful to God 00:44 in order to be under the cover rank. 00:46 They want a king that is going to fight 00:49 regardless of how they act. 00:50 In other words, they want to be able to chase bills. 00:54 They want to be able to lay with the prostitutes, update God. 00:57 They want to be able to turn up with Jezebel 01:01 and still know that they are covered in some way. 01:04 Essentially they create a continue and see a fail safe 01:08 so they can be seen full and secure. 01:13 And in other words, church, what they're trying to do 01:16 is to create a parachute for their iniquity. 01:21 It is a seat belt for their salacious behavior 01:25 in other words, God is wanting to have something in place 01:30 in the event that God does not come through 01:32 and say, 01:33 one of the things I need somebody to understand today 01:37 is that you can never have sin and safety at the same time. 01:41 Oh, God. 01:43 And in other words, 01:44 I need somebody to understand that you can't have covering 01:49 without the cover of the air here. 01:50 What I'm saying today and say somebody needs to get to a place 01:55 where you remove all of the artificial safeguards 01:59 and young people ultimately put your trust in the Lord 02:01 Jesus Christ who has promised to be a shield 02:05 and a buckler, your glory and the lift of your head. 02:09 In other words, young person, your safety won't be getting 02:12 a designated driver after you get lit. 02:16 Your safety is in letting God keep 02:19 you clothed in your right mind at all times that you're safe. 02:23 The young lady is not in the morning after pill. 02:27 Your safety is in trusting God to keep you from falling. 02:32 Understand that your safety is not necessarily 02:36 in a penicillin shot at the clinic. 02:38 Your safety is in trusting God to walk in purity. 02:43 Your safety is not any clear. 02:46 Your Internet history. 02:47 Your safety is putting a seal over your eyes. 02:51 Your safety is not in a good divorce. 02:54 Attorney. 02:55 Your safety is in prioritizing your marriage. 02:59 Your safety has to be in God there. 03:04 Are you all hear what I'm saying? 03:06 And see, this is what I need somebody to get. 03:08 See, I need to get this about God. 03:09 God is not petty or punitive. 03:14 How many of us understand that? 03:15 God doesn't punish you for saying 03:19 that sin brings its own punishment? 03:23 Say God doesn't destroy you for doing wrong, 03:27 but wrong brings its own destroy my preach than anybody today. 03:32 And so I need you to know 03:33 that you will never be able to have sin and safety 03:38 because you need to know that shame is built into sin. 03:42 That guilt is actually built into. 03:45 The truth is that you will never be able 03:47 to take the hangover out of drunkenness. 03:51 You will never be able 03:52 to take the paranoia out of weed, use eye witness. 03:56 You'll never 03:57 be able to take the calories out of cake and cookies. 04:01 You will never be able to take the destruction out of voice. 04:06 You will never be able to take the fear out of a life 04:09 of treating people long. 04:11 And what you got to learn 04:12 how to do is ultimately put your trust in God. 04:17 I hear me today, 04:19 see God is not petty. 04:23 So even when we deal with certain things 04:26 of unrighteousness, that's not God punishing you. 04:31 It's built into iniquity. 04:34 But God Hallelujah is merciful 04:38 and abundant in grace, 04:41 and the word says that He does not treat us 04:45 like we deserve. 04:48 So the Bible says the wages of sin. 04:52 Y'all not hear me. 04:54 The wages of sin. 04:55 Is that so? 04:58 That if you got anything short 05:02 of death and eternal separation, it means you're still working 05:09 under the Amazing Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ? 05:13 Is there anybody thankful today 05:15 that God has not given you what you deserve? 05:20 Are you grateful that God didn't give you what you are owed? 05:26 Anybody paid for that God 05:28 grace the salvation pass on a curve 05:34 and it 05:35 curves the penalty so that it came to him. 05:39 And we can have newness of life. 05:41 I'm thankful for His grace today. 05:46 I are here in the past. 05:50 The third thing, this teacher stay with me church 05:56 is that you shouldn't take every rejection 05:59 personal. You 06:05 know, don't take every rejection personal. 06:08 A matter of fact, you ought to celebrate some rejections 06:14 you case here today. 06:16 But about 12 alumni weekends 06:18 from now, 06:22 you're going to be dancing all over the bon bon. 06:26 When you see how unstable he is and how crazy. 06:31 I mean, let me state let me say, 06:36 if you can't take every rejection person, 06:40 not for his again, I need you to see the mercy 06:43 of God in this joint. 06:44 Like this is insane that his people 06:48 wag their finger in the face of the prophet 06:52 and say, Give us somebody 06:54 besides God to reach across. 06:59 And you would think that streams of burning sulfur 07:04 and fire would consume the entire people. 07:10 But notice 07:11 God's maturity and His restraint. 07:15 He says, Listen, Samuel, don't kill them. 07:18 Don't destroy them. 07:20 He says, Lord, he says, Samuel, heed their voice. 07:25 He says, Give them what they are asking for. 07:29 Don't fight for their approval. 07:32 All right. 07:34 Don't try to maintain this union. 07:38 Let them have what they're asking for. 07:42 And it's crazy because essentially what he is telling 07:45 Samuel, he saying, Samuel, get out of your feelings. 07:50 He said, Samuel, pull yourself together 07:53 because this rejection is not about 07:55 what you lack, it's about what they lack. 07:58 Oh yea, y'all not hear me today. 08:01 In other words, what they do is they gaslight toward Samuel. 08:03 They blame it on the fact 08:05 that his kids are bringing you reproach, 08:08 that Samuel is too old, but God is making it clear 08:12 that this is simply the straw that broke the camel's back 08:16 because they didn't just start rejecting me today. 08:19 They've been doing it ever since they left 08:22 Egypt. 08:25 And Kim, this is crazy because it shows us that 08:29 no circumstance makes us happy. 08:33 The only thing that makes us happy is God, because we will. 08:38 Literally, this is the insanity of God's people. 08:41 We will complain about the very thing 08:44 we prayed for. 08:48 Am I lying? 08:50 Do they not pray? 08:52 Lord, get us out of Egypt. 08:55 And then for the next 40 years they pray. 08:58 Lord, take us back to Egypt. 09:01 Are you out here in the world today? 09:03 And so, Samuel, he's making it very clear. 09:07 He's saying, Samuel, don't fight for that position. 09:10 He's like, Samuel, don't fight for that relationship. 09:14 He's like, Samuel, don't fight to remain in this union. 09:17 He's saying, Samuel, don't fight for this predicament 09:20 because the only way they will learn 09:23 how good you've been to them is they experience life 09:26 after you're gone. 09:27 Oh, y'all not hearing me today? 09:30 And can I give this counsel to somebody today 09:33 that when something goes left with a friend, 09:35 when something goes left on a job, 09:38 when something goes left with a situation ship, 09:41 when something goes left and somebody unfriend you, 09:44 you need to take a moment for personal introspection to see 09:47 what you've done to contribute to the ruin of the relationship. 09:52 But the larger idea I want to say, is, 09:54 don't make yourself crazy trying to figure out 09:58 what's wrong with you, because some rejection 10:02 is not about what you lack, it's about what they want. 10:07 Okay? What do you mean? 10:09 Samuel had led them to 10:13 on precedented prosperity. 10:17 Like, literally, it cannot get better 10:21 than what it is under Samuel's rule. 10:24 But they have simply gotten so bored and so used to it 10:27 that they want something 10:29 that they assume is better simply because it's different. 10:34 Can I pause to say this? 10:35 This is where the people of God always stray 10:39 when we allow the world to become our model. 10:44 In other words, 10:45 you can't recognize how good God has been in your life 10:49 because you're so busy looking at what they got over there 10:52 and how they moving in that situation. 10:54 Can I pause to say to Oakwood, we ain't got to be jealous of 10:58 no state school, no PWI, no m, no tech. 11:04 You ought to just thank God for how he has blessed this place. 11:09 We've got something through the Holy Ghost 11:13 that cannot be replicated in any other place. 11:16 I hear what I'm saying today. 11:20 And so I need you to know that some rejections are 11:21 not about what you lack. 11:22 Sometimes folk just want something that ain't you. 11:28 So if you're a minority working anywhere, 11:31 whether you're a female or an African American on your job, 11:33 you realize that there's 11:35 going to be rejection on your job, that some people 11:37 are going to want you out of that, out of that job, 11:41 not because there's something wrong with you, 11:44 but because there is bias and bigotry operating inside 11:47 of them. 11:48 Leaders, I need you to know that like Samuel, 11:51 it doesn't matter how good you are as a leader, 11:55 they're going to be some folks that always have a complaint 11:58 and a grumble and something to be able to moan about. 12:02 In other words, young sister, be clear 12:05 that sometimes when he goes to you, 12:07 it's not about how insufficient you are. 12:10 It's about how unstable he actually is. 12:14 In other words, young brother, remember that sometimes 12:17 nice guys finish last 12:19 because immature women don't even know what a good man 12:22 looks like Dahmer required in the other day. 12:25 In other words, I rebuke any silly brought in here 12:30 talking about he too nice he go to church too much. 12:33 That's the kind of talking 12:34 that's going to 12:35 have you in the emergency room in a battered woman's house. 12:40 You better look for a man that's on the dean's list 12:43 in the house of God. 12:44 Got on a pocket protector. 12:47 Stop looking at six packs and worry about who's 12:50 going to make six figures about him. 12:55 You better start looking 12:57 for the right things. 12:58 I hear what I'm saying. 13:03 Yeah. 13:11 And so God says, 13:14 Listen, this ain't really about you, Samuel. 13:17 It's about the fact that they want something different. 13:20 And so he's been. 13:21 Samuel No, the best thing you can do 13:25 is just keep being great. 13:30 In other words, the only way you can get revenge on them 13:34 is to keep being great. 13:36 Yeah. Yeah, I missed it. 13:38 In other words, Samuel, 13:39 they won't recognize your value till Saul shows up 13:43 and see. 13:44 It's not till Saul shows up and they realize 13:48 how good they had it. 13:50 They are now be like, Dang. 13:51 We should have stayed with your boy. 13:54 Samuel. 13:55 Can I pause to say sometimes times your revenge 13:58 is in their regret. 13:59 Y'all decried it the other day. 14:01 In other words, keep being so great. 14:04 And your job being so great in the church, 14:09 keep being so great as a man or woman that your greatness 14:13 is going to make them regret the day they unfriended you. 14:16 They'll regret the day they go sit you down. 14:19 Regret that day they fired you. 14:23 They'll regret the day they walked out on you. 14:25 You ain't got a slant for them. 14:27 You ain't got to blast them out. 14:29 You ain't got to put them on blast. 14:31 Just keep being gray 14:35 and your great miss 14:37 will bring about a revenge through their regrets. 14:41 Are y'all hear me? 14:42 They saints. 14:45 Last thing this teaches us and hear me on this young people. 14:51 This story shows us that 14:54 voting matters. 14:58 Okay, let me say it again. 15:00 See, some of y'all steal back all regret. 15:02 So stay with me. 15:04 This story teaches us 15:06 that voting matters. 15:12 Have you noticed that God doesn't steer 15:16 the outcome of the government? 15:20 He allows the people 15:23 to have the government they voted for. 15:27 Okay. 15:29 Oh, God. 15:30 Yeah. 15:31 Y'all still with the pastor today? 15:33 Notice that God must believe in democracy 15:38 because he yields to the will of the people. 15:43 And what he's makes it very clear on 15:46 there is a way that I want you to go, 15:50 but he makes it clear I'm going to let you live with 15:53 the immediate consequences of whatever you vote for your own. 15:59 I not hear me today 16:01 and see there are some of us that are of the belief 16:05 that I don't need to vote because God is in control 16:08 of all things. 16:09 We believe that we don't need to vote 16:11 because Providence 16:12 is going dictates who rises and who falls. 16:16 But what this story is teaching us 16:17 is that sometimes we bend, blaming 16:19 some outcomes on Providence. 16:23 When God is saying, I didn't choose that you did. 16:29 And let me be clear, friends of mine 16:31 that I am not Republican, am not Democrat, 16:34 because neither party represents 16:36 my convictions, my worldview or my spiritual beliefs. 16:41 But I need somebody to understand this principle 16:43 that prophecy 16:45 and providence is gonna dictate the final outcomes, but 16:49 your vote is going to dictate your immediate outcome. 16:54 Okay, 16:56 so notice 16:57 what God warns them will be the result 17:00 of not choosing government correctly. 17:04 He says, while I'm leading you that everything is going to be 17:09 about the good of the people and their well-being. 17:13 But he says, be careful what you choose, 17:16 because if you choose the wrong king, the wrong king 17:19 is going to make everything about himself. 17:23 Okay. 17:25 So now here, in other words, the lone king 17:28 is going to make everything about him 17:31 and his wishes and his preferences. 17:35 The wrong king is going to put his name on everything, and 17:39 the wrong king is going to worry about 17:42 crowd size more than your well be. 17:44 Oh, y'all not you're not hear me today. 17:48 He says you got to be careful what you choose 17:54 because he says the wrong king is going to take your sons 17:56 and your daughters and enlist them in his army 18:00 to fight the battles 18:01 that are the result of his petty grievances and beefs. 18:05 And he's going to privatize the army 18:09 so that there will be war, not just because there's an enemy, 18:14 but because war is good for his economy and his business. 18:18 You better be careful what you choose. 18:21 He's saying to us, You got to be careful 18:24 what you choose because the wrong king 18:27 is going to take from your land and your field. 18:31 And he's going to give it to his servants and his friends. 18:35 In other words, 18:36 the wrong king is going to destroy the middle class 18:42 and make 18:42 sure the wealthiest 1% thrive. 18:46 You better be careful what king you choose, okay? 18:50 He says. 18:51 Be careful what you choose 18:53 because the wrong one is going to take your daughters 18:57 and he's going to make them perfumers and bakers and cooks. 19:01 And notice what he say 19:02 that the wrong king is going to develop a social caste 19:07 that says women can only do two or three things. 19:10 So when I was king, 19:12 a woman could be judge like Debra, but under the wrong king, 19:17 he's going to put women in their place 19:20 and start messing with their rights and make sure 19:22 they can't do nothing but cook and clean and bake. 19:26 You better choose the right king 19:29 because he says the wrong one is 19:32 go take 10% of your sheep 19:36 and your goats and your lives in your grain. 19:40 And he's going to give it to his friends 19:42 and those that serve him. 19:44 The wrong king is going to tax the masses 19:49 so that 19:50 the minority is able to prosper from it. 19:53 And God is saying that based on what you choose, 19:59 you going to live with that outcome. 20:02 Are you hear what I'm saying? 20:04 You see, 20:05 there are times when we run around and say, 20:06 we ain't got to vote because God is in control. 20:09 I've got faith. I don't have to do that. 20:10 But the faith friends of mine is not participate 20:14 in the outcome. 20:15 Faith is trusting God no matter the outcome. 20:21 And what some of us are calling faith 20:26 is actually apathy, where when we are 20:31 apathetic on the front end, 20:33 we wind up complaining because we don't engage on the back end. 20:37 And so let's understand this. 20:39 First of all, like one, right? 20:40 It says, if you are not at the table, you're on the menu. 20:46 You are here with the pastor saying today. 20:48 And what I'm saying to somebody say, man, no, 20:50 I got to just wait, man, and let the providence of God 20:54 work up, understand, God says, and then you seven that he's 20:56 going to determine and dictate what happens in the very end. 21:02 But guess what God is saying? 21:03 I'm going to let you choose the results 21:07 and the consequences of your choice. 21:08 Right now, in the immediate 21:11 sense, 21:12 I need to wake up this younger generation 21:15 who is running around here, not understanding 21:18 a historical context of where we have come from as a people. 21:23 Can anybody testify that God has brought us 21:26 a mighty, mighty, 21:29 mighty, mighty, mighty, mighty long way 21:32 that that God has put certain liberties and freedoms in place, 21:36 and he has turned the scales of injustice 21:39 so that they are a little bit more even. 21:42 But you cannot give up those rights through indifference. 21:44 You've got to continue to trust God to the end, 21:49 and you've got to occupy until he comes. 21:54 So God says, I'm going to leave the immediate outcomes 21:58 in your hands, but this is our shout. 22:03 The final outcomes. 22:07 Let me say it again. 22:09 The immediate outcomes will be what you choose. 22:13 The final outcomes will be what he chooses. 22:17 See, that's what I love. 22:18 Daniel Chapter two, where Nebuchadnezzar 22:21 is given a vision and the vision is of an image. 22:26 It has a hand of gold, it has chests 22:28 and arms of silver, it has belly and thighs, a bronze. 22:33 The legs are made of iron and the feet are made 22:36 of iron and clay. 22:37 And when Daniel interprets the vision, 22:41 he makes it clear that these metals represent 22:44 the major kingdoms in Earth's history. 22:47 And he says that you all king represent the head of gold, 22:50 which is Babylon. 22:51 And after you, the chests and arms of silver 22:55 will represent the meets and the Persians. 22:58 The belly and thighs of bronze will represent the Greek kingdom 23:01 that will be temporary. 23:02 The legs of iron will represent the pool 23:07 of the government of Rome and the feet of iron and k 23:11 represent the emerging provinces of Europe. 23:14 And the countries that flow out of them 23:15 include the United States. 23:17 But the great part of the vision 23:20 is that even though he sees an image, 23:22 the Bible says that there is a lack 23:26 o cut out of the mountain 23:29 without hands and it comes and smashes the image. 23:34 And the bits of the image are blown away like chaff. 23:38 And the Bible says that the stone 23:40 settles in the earth and it grows greater and greater, 23:45 and it represents God's kingdom 23:48 that's going to be established and it has no end. 23:52 Is there anybody thankful today that at some point 23:56 every earthly kingdom is gone and every earthly power 24:01 has an expiration date? 24:03 The reason you ought to shout is because he that shall come, 24:08 will come and he will not carry 24:12 anybody looking for a city 24:15 whose builder and maker is God? 24:18 Anybody looking for a king 24:20 that does not have term limits? 24:23 You're looking for a king 24:25 that has no predecessor, that can't be voted out. 24:30 He has no rival. 24:32 He has no peer, he has no nemesis. 24:37 He has no ally. 24:39 He's not dependent on foreign oil. 24:42 He is God ordered by himself 24:46 and beside him there is no other 24:51 and look forward to being in my father's house. 24:56 But the Bible says in my father's house and many 24:59 mansions. 25:00 If it were not so, I would have told you. 25:03 I go to prepare a place that where I am 25:08 there you may be all stop and somebody saying, Pastor, 25:10 how good is it? 25:12 I can't even tell you. 25:14 Why can't I tell you? 25:16 Because I have nothing. 25:20 It's have not heard 25:22 and neither has entered into the heart of any man 25:27 that which God has prepared for a soldier. 25:30 So we've got 25:32 an active part on telecoms, but this is where I want to leave 25:35 you lift up the trumpet 25:38 and loud, let it rain 25:41 But Jesus is coming again 25:44 Cheer up, ye pilgrims be joyful 25:47 and see Because Jesus, 25:51 I said, Jesus, I said My Jesus, 25:56 I said, you're Jesus. 25:59 I said, our Jesus, the king of kings, 26:03 the Lord of Lords, the lily of the valley, 26:08 the rose of sharing the everlasting father, 26:13 the prince of peace, the mighty God. 26:17 Hello, I'm Pastor 26:19 Snell, speaker director for The Breath of Life 26:22 Television Ministry. 26:23 This ministry was established to take the Gospel of Jesus 26:27 Christ throughout North America and across the globe. 26:31 My goal is to make Jesus Christ 26:35 known through the preaching of the Word. 26:38 I need you to know that we need your financial partnership 26:41 in order to make sure that the Gospel can go into every hill, 26:46 into every rural county, and into every inner city. 26:50 And we can only take the gospel as far as the gifts 26:53 that you lend to us. 26:55 We thank you for your financial partnership in the past, 26:58 and I'm asking 27:00 that you will continue to be a financial partner 27:03 with this ministry going forward. 27:05 Here are some ways you can give you can give online 27:09 at our website at www.BreathofLife.tv. 27:12 You can send your gift by mail to Breath of Life.
