00:02 Hello there. Happy Sabbath.
00:03 Come on in, we're about to meet with the King.
00:51 Good day, I am Aunty Nat.
00:52 And I'm Aunty Cecily.
00:54 We're so glad you have come to join us for worship,
00:56 aren't we kids?
00:57 Yeah! Yes!
00:59 Aunty Cecily, is there someone today
01:00 we need to send a big hello to?
01:02 Yes, I'd like to send a big hello to Emily,
01:05 Evelyn and Eli from Tasmania.
01:08 Hello.
01:09 Hi!
01:10 It was great to meet you guys when I was in Tasmania.
01:13 It's lovely that we have so many people
01:16 joining in our worship time.
01:18 Now, we can't forget to say hello to Teddy.
01:21 Hello Teddy, we love having you on the program.
01:23 You're such a good boy.
01:25 Aunty Cecily, can you please say a prayer for us
01:27 to open our worship time?
01:29 Yes. Let's bow our heads.
01:30 Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the Sabbath day
01:33 where we can find rest in You.
01:35 We pray a special blessing on the children
01:38 who have joined us at home.
01:40 We pray that Your Holy Spirit
01:42 would be in each of our hearts and minds
01:45 as we worship you now in Jesus' name.
01:48 Amen. Amen.
01:50 Now, Aunty Cecily,
01:51 we've come to our last key of the kingdom.
01:54 It's our 13th key.
01:56 Can you tell us all about it?
01:58 Yes, we've been on such a rich journey
02:01 full of gifts and promises
02:03 that God offers to help us to get to the kingdom.
02:06 Alesha, would you like to open our gift box
02:09 and see what our 13th key to the kingdom is?
02:16 Love.
02:18 This is a very special key.
02:20 And can you tell us what's on the other side?
02:23 1 Corinthians 13:2, 3.
02:28 Thanks Alesha.
02:29 Could you read those verses for us from the Bible,
02:32 please Caleb?
02:33 "And though I have the gift of prophecy,
02:36 and understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
02:39 and though I have all faith,
02:40 so that I could remove mountains,
02:42 but have not love, I am nothing.
02:45 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor,
02:49 and though I give my body to be burned,
02:52 but have not love, it profits me nothing."
02:55 Thanks, Caleb.
02:56 That was a long passage today.
02:58 So love is everything.
03:01 It's like the master key
03:02 that unlocks all the other doors
03:04 that lead to the kingdom of heaven.
03:07 Let's review our other 12 keys to the kingdom.
03:11 Our first key was accept God's love,
03:14 then repent,
03:15 confess your wrongs and give your heart to Jesus,
03:19 at each step of the way
03:20 God gives us the keys of trust and faith
03:23 to follow Jesus
03:25 and grow to be more like Him and share God's love.
03:29 And 9th key was get to know God and the 10th, talk with God.
03:35 Another important gift or key to the kingdom was to trust God
03:40 when tempted,
03:41 and last week's key was about witnessing.
03:45 And what's our 13th key?
03:48 Love!
03:49 Yes, without love, the other keys won't work.
03:54 Do you remember our 5th key was faith.
03:56 Our Bible verse today tells us that we can have lots of faith
04:01 but without love, it doesn't help us.
04:05 The faith key won't work without the love key.
04:08 So remember to ask God every day
04:11 to help you use these keys.
04:14 These are gifts from God
04:16 that we must always use in the spirit of love.
04:20 Thanks, Aunty Cecily.
04:22 I've been blessed these past few weeks
04:24 learning about the keys to the kingdom.
04:26 Boys and girls, if you would like to learn
04:28 more about the keys to the kingdom,
04:31 you could read the little book Steps to Christ
04:33 by Mrs. White.
04:34 I'm sure mom or dad or even your grandparents
04:37 may help you to read it, if you ask them.
04:40 It's now time though for some music.
04:43 Thanks, Braedan, for joining us today.
04:45 Thanks, Aunty Nat, it's good to be here.
04:47 Hi, boys and girls, let's sing
04:49 "The Seventh is the Sabbath of the Lord."
04:53 One, two, three, four, five, six days a week
04:57 God gave to us for work and play
05:02 One, two, three, four, five, six days He made
05:06 Then rested on the seventh day
05:10 God invites us all to join Him On the seventh day of rest
05:14 For He called that day the Sabbath
05:16 And He promised we'd be blessed
05:19 One, two, three, four, five, six days for us
05:23 The seventh is the Sabbath of the Lord
05:25 Amen!
05:28 Braedan, can we please sing
05:30 "The King has a Treasure House."
05:31 We certainly can.
05:38 The King has a treasure house of promises
05:42 Gifts from heaven above
05:46 In His word are many, many promises
05:51 Offered us in love
05:54 God gives us courage to repent
05:59 And turn away from every sin
06:02 He gives us wisdom, faith and trust
06:07 And power to follow Him
06:11 The King has a treasure house of promises
06:15 Promises for you and me
06:20 In His word are many, many promises
06:23 To give us the victory
06:27 To give us the victory
06:30 Victory!
06:33 Braedan, can we please sing "Give Your Heart to Jesus."
06:36 We certainly can.
06:37 Giving your heart to Jesus
06:39 is the best thing you can ever do.
06:41 Let's sing it together.
06:43 Give your heart to Jesus
06:47 He is calling you
06:52 Give your heart to Jesus
06:56 He is calling you
07:01 Give your heart to Jesus
07:04 He is calling you
07:09 Give Him your heart today
07:14 Let's sing it again.
07:17 Give your heart to Jesus
07:21 He is calling you
07:26 Give your heart to Jesus
07:29 He is calling you
07:34 Give your heart to Jesus
07:38 He is calling you
07:43 Give Him your heart today
07:49 Thanks, Braedan,
07:50 singing praises to God's a great way to tell Him
07:52 that we love Him.
07:54 Children, are you enjoying Dr. John's stories each week?
07:58 Yes!
07:59 Well, I wonder
08:00 what he has in store for us this time.
08:02 Let's go and see.
08:04 Hello, boys and girls,
08:06 it's wonderful to be back together again.
08:08 And I want to say hello to all the boys and girls
08:12 in South America
08:14 'cause that's where this story happened.
08:16 There was a little girl, her name was Juliane,
08:19 Juliane Koepcke,
08:21 and she had a mummy and a daddy and she loved them.
08:24 In fact, I've got a photograph of the three of them together.
08:30 And her daddy was a very clever scientist
08:34 and he worked in the jungle,
08:36 studying wild life and so is her mummy,
08:40 but she had to go away to school.
08:43 And as a reward on the day after she graduated,
08:49 and here she is graduating from school,
08:52 she's 17.
08:54 They said you can get on an airplane
08:57 and fly right across the jungle
09:00 and come and spend some time with mummy and daddy.
09:04 She was so excited.
09:06 And she got on a plane.
09:08 And I don't want you to be frightened about airplanes
09:11 'cause this was a very old plane
09:14 and it wasn't that strong
09:17 and she was in seat F on row 19.
09:23 And the plane took off and flew into the sky
09:27 and ran into some very, very rough weather.
09:33 And in that weather, lightning struck
09:37 and because the plane was old
09:40 and its wings couldn't flap the way modern airplanes do
09:44 and allows them to go through storms,
09:47 the wings broke off.
09:50 And Juliane was sitting by the window
09:55 row 19 seat F.
09:58 And she suddenly realized the plane had broken up.
10:02 She could hear a loud mutter, she could hear people screaming
10:06 and then silence and she looked down
10:11 and the jungle looked like a giant piece of broccoli,
10:18 the same green but it was spinning around.
10:21 The jungle wasn't spinning, but she was,
10:24 you know,
10:25 she fell five kilometers through the air
10:30 and somehow
10:32 she was the only one in her seat,
10:34 she had a safety belt on so tight,
10:36 she could hardly breathe.
10:39 She went unconscious,
10:40 but her seat must have hit some branches
10:45 and it landed and she woke up a few hours later
10:49 and, you know what her first thought was?
10:51 I'm alive.
10:53 She called out for her mother.
10:56 Her mother had died and she finally got out
11:01 and she said, "I'm the only one alive."
11:04 Now, she was a smart girl,
11:06 and she knew how to do what her father had told her.
11:11 He said, "If you get lost,
11:12 make sure that you walk downstream
11:16 and follow the stream because sooner or later
11:22 you'll come to people who live by the streams.
11:25 But you must go down
11:27 because that's where the people live.
11:29 She'd lost her glasses, she only had one shoe
11:33 and, you know, what she did?
11:34 She didn't wear that shoe.
11:36 There were so many snakes there,
11:37 every time she saw
11:39 she threw a shoe into the long leaves
11:42 to make sure there wasn't a snake underneath.
11:45 She found a packet of lollies or candy as we might call it
11:49 or sweets
11:51 and that was the only food she had for 10 days.
11:55 And when she had to cross the river,
11:57 she had to go in the middle because she knew the piranhas
12:02 that would eat her alive, like the shallow water.
12:07 And finally, after nine days she found a hut.
12:10 And when they found her,
12:12 they thought that she was a devil
12:14 because she was all bloodshot from the accident.
12:17 And many years later she went back.
12:19 She's sitting in an airplane here in 19 F
12:25 because she want to get it out of her system.
12:28 And here she is grown up, she's a scientist
12:32 and they trekked back into the jungle
12:35 and she sat in the seat that was still there.
12:41 You know what kept her alive?
12:43 She had one goal
12:45 and that was to find her father.
12:47 She wanted an every step that she took she said,
12:52 "I will find my father."
12:55 And, you know, what the lesson is there?
12:57 We need to find our Heavenly Father.
13:00 And that will keep us alive if we constantly focus
13:05 on getting to our Heavenly Father
13:06 'cause He's waiting for us.
13:08 Thank you, boys and girls.
13:10 Hi, boys and girls.
13:11 Welcome to our Bible study.
13:13 If you haven't got your Bibles ready yet, go get them now
13:15 so you can follow along with us.
13:16 Bethany, can you please say a prayer first,
13:18 before we commence our study.
13:20 Dear, Father, thank You for our Bibles
13:22 so will we can learn more about You
13:24 and Your great love for us.
13:25 Please be with the children
13:26 who are at home reading along with us,
13:28 in Jesus' name.
13:29 Amen. Amen.
13:31 Thank you, Bethany.
13:32 Now, Erin, what did we study about last Sabbath?
13:34 We looked at the life of Jonah.
13:35 Yes, we did, and he was a bit of a reluctant prophet,
13:37 wasn't he?
13:39 Yeah. Yes.
13:40 And now something else happened
13:41 with the northern kingdom of Israel.
13:43 What happened to them?
13:44 They were captured by the Assyrian.
13:45 Yes, the northern kingdom ceased to exist.
13:49 So all that was left
13:51 was the southern kingdom of Judah,
13:53 which Aunt Cecily's pointing to there.
13:56 Now, we talked about King Joash a couple of Sabbaths ago
13:59 and that he ruled for 40 years.
14:02 Three other kings followed Joash
14:05 and all four of them,
14:07 the Bible says did right in the sight of the Lord,
14:11 which was a nice change.
14:13 So now we're going to come to King Ahaz
14:16 and he was an evil king.
14:18 Let's see what he did.
14:20 Erin, can you please read 2 Chronicles 28:24?
14:27 "So Ahaz gathered the articles of the house of God,
14:31 cut in pieces the articles of the house of God,
14:34 shut up the doors of the house of the Lord,
14:36 and made for himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem."
14:40 So Ahaz shut up the doors of the temple
14:44 and set up his own idol images in the temple court.
14:48 It was during this time
14:50 that God sent the prophets Micah and Isaiah
14:54 to warn the people
14:55 and rulers of their idol worship.
14:58 So Ahaz ruled for 16 years
15:00 and then he died and his son took his place.
15:04 Can you just show us that, we're gonna talk about.
15:07 Here's Ahaz, yep,
15:08 and you can see the prophets there,
15:10 Isaiah and Micah.
15:12 Thank you.
15:13 Caleb, can you please read 2 Chronicles 29:1-2?
15:19 "Hezekiah became king when he was 25 years old,
15:22 and he reigned 29 years in Jerusalem.
15:25 His mother's name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah.
15:30 And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord,
15:33 according to all that his father David had done."
15:36 So, Hezekiah
15:38 did not follow the evilness of his father,
15:40 he chose to follow God.
15:43 Hezekiah opened up the temple doors
15:45 and gathered all the priests and levites together
15:49 to speak to them.
15:50 Bethany, can you read 2 Chronicles 29:5-6?
15:56 "And said to them, 'Hear me, Levites!
15:58 Now sanctify yourselves,
16:00 sanctify the house of the Lord God
16:02 of your fathers,
16:03 and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.
16:05 For our fathers have trespassed
16:07 and done evil in the eyes of the Lord our God,
16:10 they have forsaken Him, have turned their faces
16:13 away from the dwelling place of the Lord,
16:15 and turned their backs on Him.'"
16:17 Thanks, Bethany.
16:19 So Hezekiah realized
16:20 if he did not get Judah in order,
16:23 they were going to be the next nation
16:25 to go into captivity.
16:27 The Bible tells us that the priests and levites
16:29 cleaned the temple and put everything back
16:32 that Ahaz had taken away.
16:35 Hezekiah gathered the leaders,
16:37 the levites and the priests and offered sacrifices to God
16:40 to seek forgiveness as a nation.
16:43 There was a great revival in Judah
16:45 and because Hezekiah did what was right,
16:48 God blessed him but something happened?
16:51 The king of Assyria
16:52 after taking the northern kingdom
16:54 into captivity wanted Judah as well.
16:58 They came and encamped around Judah.
17:00 Let's read what Hezekiah said to the people.
17:03 Sophie, can you read 2 Chronicles 32:7-8?
17:10 "Be strong and courageous,
17:11 do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria,
17:16 nor before all the multitude that is with him,
17:19 for there are more with us than with him.
17:22 With him is an army of flesh,
17:24 but with us is the Lord our God,
17:27 to help us and to fight our battles
17:31 and the people were strengthened
17:33 by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah."
17:36 Wow, what faith Hezekiah had.
17:39 Let's see what the king of Assyria had to say.
17:42 Abigail, can you read 2 Chronicles 32:15?
17:48 "Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you
17:51 or persuade you like this, and do not believe him,
17:55 for no god of any nation or kingdom
17:57 was able to deliver his people from my hand
17:59 or the hand of my fathers.
18:01 How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?"
18:05 The king of Assyria mocked God,
18:07 saying that he was not strong enough
18:09 to come up against him.
18:11 Do we mock God? No.
18:12 No, we don't.
18:14 2 Chronicles 32:20 tells us
18:16 that King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah
18:20 came together and prayed.
18:22 Mia, can you read 2 Chronicles 32:21?
18:27 "Then the Lord sent an angel
18:28 who cut down every mighty man of valor, leader,
18:32 and captain in the camp of the king of Assyria.
18:35 So he returned shamefaced to his own land.
18:39 And when he had gone into the temple of his god,
18:43 some of his own offspring struck him down
18:45 with the sword there."
18:47 So who was stronger, God or the king of Assyria?
18:50 God! God.
18:52 God fought their battle for them.
18:54 Hezekiah ruled for 29 years and then he died
18:57 and his son Manasseh became king.
18:59 Can you just show us Manasseh on the chart, Aunty Cecily?
19:03 Manasseh did evil in the sight of the Lord.
19:05 He put all the idols back
19:07 that his father Hezekiah had torn down
19:10 and chose to follow the path of his grandfather Ahaz
19:14 and filled up the temple of God with images and false gods,
19:18 but something happened to Manasseh
19:21 that's worth a look at.
19:22 Aunty Cecily, can you read 2 Chronicles 33:11-13?
19:28 "Therefore the Lord brought upon them
19:30 the captains of the army of the king of Assyria,
19:33 who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters,
19:38 and carried him off to Babylon.
19:41 Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God,
19:45 and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
19:50 and prayed to Him, and He received his entreaty,
19:54 heard his supplication,
19:56 and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom.
20:00 Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God."
20:04 Wow. What a merciful God we serve.
20:07 Manasseh in his affliction turned his heart to God
20:10 and repented of all his wickedness
20:12 and God forgave him
20:14 and returned him to Jerusalem to his throne.
20:17 Manasseh took down all the idols
20:20 and told Judah
20:21 that they must worship the true God.
20:24 After Manasseh died, his son Amon became king,
20:28 but he did great wickedness and only ruled for two.
20:32 But we have another bright spot,
20:34 after King Amon died, his son became king
20:37 and that's King Josiah.
20:39 Let's read about him.
20:41 Erin, can you read 2 Chronicles 34:1-3?
20:46 "Josiah was eight years old when he became king,
20:49 and he reigned 31 years in Jerusalem.
20:52 And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord,
20:54 and walked in the ways of his father David,
20:57 he did not turn aside to the left or right.
21:02 For in the eighth year of his reign,
21:04 while he was still young,
21:06 he began to seek the God of his father David,
21:09 and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah
21:12 and Jerusalem of the high places,
21:14 the wooden images, the carved images,
21:17 and the molded images."
21:20 So Josiah was only eight years old
21:22 when he became king.
21:24 At his young age he took a stand
21:27 and decided he was going to worship God alone.
21:31 Let's have a look at our torchlight
21:33 Mrs. White's writings to see what they shine
21:36 on these verses.
21:38 Aunty Cecily, can you read that for us?
21:42 "Born of a wicked king, beset with temptations
21:46 to follow in his father's steps,
21:48 and with few counselors
21:50 to encourage him in the right way,
21:52 Josiah nevertheless was true to the God of Israel.
21:57 Warned by the errors of past generations,
22:00 he chose to do right,
22:02 instead of descending to the low level of sin
22:06 and degradation to which his father
22:08 and his grandfather had fallen."
22:12 So Josiah was a remarkable young man.
22:15 Now in the process
22:16 of getting rid of all the idols,
22:19 Josiah also repaired the temple
22:22 and they found the Book of the Law
22:24 written by Moses, it had gone missing
22:27 during the time of Manasseh and Amon.
22:30 When King Josiah heard the words,
22:32 he ripped his clothes in grief.
22:34 Let's see what he says, Caleb,
22:36 I'm going to get you to read in 2 Kings 22:13.
22:43 "Go, inquire of the Lord for me,
22:46 for the people and for all Judah,
22:49 concerning the words of this book
22:50 that has been found,
22:52 for great is the wrath of the Lord
22:54 that is aroused against us,
22:56 because our fathers have not obeyed the words
22:58 of this book,
22:59 to do according to all that is written concerning us."
23:04 Thanks, Caleb.
23:05 So King Josiah found out from the prophetess Huldah
23:09 that God was going to end the kingdom of Judah
23:12 because of the evil that had happened
23:14 in the history of Judah and Israel.
23:16 But because of Josiah's faithfulness
23:19 to serve the Lord,
23:20 he was not going to take the kingdom away
23:22 during Josiah's reign.
23:25 If we were to read on,
23:27 the king himself went before his people
23:30 and read the Book of Moses.
23:32 The people took a stand to worship God alone,
23:35 and there was a great reformation in the land.
23:37 Do you know what?
23:39 There is power in the word, that's why we read our Bibles.
23:42 It has power to change our lives.
23:45 Let's look at our memory verse found in Psalm 119:105.
23:52 And let's read that together.
23:55 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
24:01 So the Bible can guide us and show us

24:59 And if you read your Bible every day,
25:01 you will strengthen your relationship with Jesus.
25:05 Yes, and Jesus needs to be our best friend
25:08 if we're going to be ready for His second coming.
25:10 Aunty Cecily, should we read our memory verse
25:12 that we learned in our Bible study today?
25:14 Yes.
25:15 Would you like to read that all together, children?
25:18 Psalm 119:105,
25:23 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
25:29 Well, children,
25:31 we have almost come to the end of another worship time.
25:34 Caleb, what did you learn from the King today?
25:37 That the Bible has the power to change us.
25:40 Yes.
25:41 We learned about that today
25:42 with the reformation that happened in Israel
25:45 when God's Word was read to the people by King Josiah.
25:49 Aunty Natty, are you ready to sing our blessing song
25:51 to the children at home?
25:53 Yes, let's do that.
25:54 Children, can you turn around
25:55 so the children at home can see you.
26:04 May God bless you and keep you
26:09 And fill your heart with love
26:14 May God guide and protect you
26:19 And watch you from above
26:24 And Sabbath after Sabbath
26:29 We greet the day of rest
26:35 The day the King of glory
26:40 Has sanctified and blessed
26:45 Goodbye my friend till we meet again
26:50 For another day with the King
26:56 Goodbye!
26:57 See you next Sabbath!
27:06 My favorite stories in the Bible is about Jesus
27:10 because He loves children.
27:16 My favorite Bible story is David
27:18 'cause how he trusted and had lots of faith in God
27:21 through the tough times.
27:25 My favorite story is Ruth
27:27 'cause she was brave to fight and land into a foreign town.
