00:23 And when we say Foundation of Our Faith, 00:25 we are talking about God's word, 00:28 the Holy Scriptures. 00:29 And in these times, 00:31 it seems that people have 00:32 one or more Bibles in numerous ways, 00:36 whether it be books, 00:37 whether it be electronically 00:40 or they can ever hear God's word. 00:43 So we praise the time that we're living in 00:45 that allows us access to study God's word. 00:48 And so we have such easy access. 00:50 There is no excuse for us not to study God's word. 00:54 And I've seen people studying the scriptures 00:57 on planes, trains, 01:00 libraries and in different places. 01:03 Now, I've seen lot of people 01:05 walking around with cell phones with their heads down. 01:07 I know they're not reading the Bible, 01:09 but we ask, we hope that they will be careful. 01:13 Some are walking into the street that way. 01:17 But the Bible is available 01:19 now even in places where you think it's strange 01:24 and we're receiving emails and phone calls 01:28 from places that Dare to Dream is reaching, 3ABN is reaching 01:32 all around the world and we praise God for it. 01:36 And we're glad that you are here with us. 01:38 We ask you to join us during this hour. 01:40 We're gonna study God's word 01:41 and our evangelist Chris Hudson, 01:44 the director and speaker of "The Forerunner Chronicles" 01:50 is going to present this second topic 01:53 in a four part series. 01:55 The first one was entitled "The Stars and the Fig Tree," 02:00 a very powerful message from God's word, 02:02 and I hope you were able to see it and hear it 02:05 and that you were blessed by it. 02:07 We have another opportunity 02:09 to be blessed in the study of God's word. 02:11 And if you saw the last one, 02:15 you have noticed that he went through many scriptures 02:18 and went through 02:20 a panoramic view of the prophecies. 02:22 And this time, 02:24 the topic is entitled the great whore, 02:28 "The Judgment of the Whore," "The Judgment of the Whore." 02:31 Another topic coming up in the series 02:33 is "Calm Before the Crisis" 02:35 and then you will hear "Return of the Dragon." 02:40 And so we encourage you to stay by. 02:42 We encourage you to grab your Bible 02:43 in whatever form you have it and follow along. 02:46 You may want to have something to jot down 02:48 because if you saw the last message, you noticed 02:51 that he went through scriptures rather quickly, 02:54 so get ready to study God's word. 02:57 I'm happy to inform you 02:59 that we have a musical guest participating during this hour. 03:03 It is again thank You, Lord, that You're never too busy, 04:01 that You're never distracted, 04:03 and that You're always attentive 04:05 to our prayer and our needs. 04:07 And, Lord, we present this need in this moment 04:11 to hear Your word 04:13 and we ask that You will bless our speaker 04:15 with Your Holy Spirit. 04:17 Use him, Lord, 04:18 in a way to bring the message clear to our ears. 04:22 And we pray that You will give us understanding of it. 04:26 We pray also that You will bless our singer 04:28 in such a way that her message and song 04:32 will inspire and bless Your children 04:35 all guide, amen. 11:16 Before we get into the word of God this evening, 11:19 as it is my tradition, 11:20 I just want to invite everyone 11:22 to have a word of prayer with me. 11:23 And please, in your hearts, 11:25 ask for the spirit of God to be your instructor, 11:27 because I believe every time the word of God is opened 11:29 that the Spirit of God is at hand 11:30 to lead and guide us into all truth. 11:33 So with that, I just want to invite you 11:35 to join me in a word of prayer. 11:38 Father in heaven, I thank You for the blessing 11:41 of the holy Sabbath day 11:43 and I thank You 11:44 for Your Son Jesus Christ that gave His life 11:47 that we might have life more abundantly. 11:50 I thank You for the spirit of truth 11:52 which you promised in John 16:13 11:55 would guide us into all truth. 11:57 And for this, we pray this evening 11:59 that the Holy Spirit 12:01 will come and inhabit our minds, 12:03 move upon our hearts 12:05 that it will convict us of righteousness 12:07 and of sin and of judgment. 12:09 Father, You promised in Luke 11, 12:12 "If our parents being evil, 12:14 know how to give good gifts unto their children, 12:17 how much more would You, our Father which is in heaven 12:19 give the Holy Spirit unto them that ask him?" 12:22 Lord, I kneel here before You 12:24 in all of my frailty and my weakness. 12:25 You know, my frame right now is being racked by pain, 12:29 but I'm asking that You would possess me with Your power 12:33 that You would fill me with Your truth, 12:35 that You would use me 12:36 for Your honor and for Your glory 12:38 because You're worthy to receive the praise. 12:41 Thank You for hearing this our humble prayer. 12:44 We wait upon You, oh, God, 12:45 for we ask it in Jesus' name, amen. 12:48 Amen. Amen. 12:51 This evening I'm going to be 12:52 sharing some information with you 12:54 and the purpose of the information 12:55 that I'm going to be sharing with you 12:57 from the word of God, 12:58 it is not to offend anyone, to discourage anyone, 13:02 it's not to ruffle anyone's feathers. 13:04 However the reality is as humanity, 13:10 prophetically speaking, we've reached critical mess. 13:15 We've come to a very serious point 13:18 of the history of humanity. 13:21 And at this time, we can no longer compromise the truth, 13:24 we can't whitewash it. 13:26 We can't water it down. 13:29 It is a life and death situation 13:31 that we're dealing with right now. 13:34 And so the information 13:35 that I'm going to be sharing with you 13:37 all this evening directly from the word of God 13:40 is for the purpose of educating, 13:42 for the purpose of enlightening, 13:44 illuminating our mind, 13:45 so that we can make wise decisions 13:48 at such a time as this. 13:50 Because the Bible makes it very clear 13:52 in the Book of Daniel 12, 13:54 "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried, 13:56 the wicked shall do wickedly: 13:58 and none of the wicked shall understand, 13:59 but the wise will understand." 14:02 We need to be amongst the wise. 14:04 We need to understand. 14:07 We need to understand what's going on 14:08 especially as there are some very interesting movements 14:12 taking place within our world. 14:13 We're seeing something happening 14:15 within our world that we have not seen before. 14:18 We have a rock star pope 14:21 that is at the head of the papacy at this time. 14:24 Amazing what he has been able to do. 14:26 Within two years, he has been able 14:27 to radically transform the image of a church, 14:32 a system that's been twiddled with controversy. 14:34 It's a reality, everyone knows this, it's true. 14:39 And not only is he making history 14:41 by doing this, 14:42 but he is also the very first Jesuit pope. 14:44 I find it so intriguing how he has just shot 14:49 to the top of the chart so to say. 14:50 I say the top of the charts because he actually landed 14:53 on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. 14:55 You have to be a rock star to get there. 14:57 You have to be on the top of the charts. 15:00 But it's not so much what he is doing 15:04 that presents a concern to my mind, 15:05 but it's the way that the political leaders 15:07 of our world are viewing him. 15:09 Everyone political leader on planet earth 15:12 is looking at the pope of the Rome 15:14 as the moral authority, the moral compass for humanity. 15:17 President Obama called him a transformative leader. 15:21 The leader of the UN is happy about his moral authority 15:25 being exercised 15:26 on the behalf of climate change. 15:29 Vice President Joe Biden said that he believes 15:31 that the pope is the moral rudder 15:34 for global society, 15:35 that's some very serious terminology. 15:38 Matter of fact 15:39 in dealing with this explosive climate change encyclical 15:43 which Pope Francis recently released. 15:47 I quote Obama, 15:48 he said that he welcomes 15:52 his holiness Pope Francis encyclical 15:55 and that he admires Pope Francis' decision 15:59 to make his case so clearly and powerfully 16:03 with his full moral authority 16:06 that's invested in his position. 16:08 Everyone, they are looking at him 16:10 as this moral authority. 16:13 I find it very intriguing, 16:14 because I used to study history in school, 16:16 that was my major 16:17 before the Lord led me to another major. 16:20 But one of our most famed presidents 16:23 in the United States of America, 16:25 Lincoln, he said that and I quote, 16:27 these are Lincoln's words, not my words. 16:29 He says the war, speaking of the civil war, 16:31 "It could not have been possible 16:33 if it were not the sinister works of the Jesuits." 16:37 Those were the words of Abraham Lincoln, 16:39 one of the famed presidents of United States of America. 16:42 Matter of act, he says, 16:43 "We owe to popery that our land is now reddened 16:47 with the blood of the noblest of our sons." 16:52 One of the most famed presidents. 16:54 And then you have to begin to think to yourself, 16:55 was Abraham Lincoln right or is Obama right. 16:59 Or was Abraham Lincoln right for his time 17:03 but Obama is right for his time, 17:04 because the papacy has been converted, 17:08 it's a change. 17:10 I want to see what the Bible has to say about this. 17:12 What about you? 17:14 Would you open your Bibles with me 17:16 to the Book of Revelation Chapter 17? 17:18 In Revelation Chapter 17, the Bible gives us 17:20 a very distinct prophecy concerning a power 17:24 that all of us in these last days 17:26 need to understand with clarity. 17:28 In Revelation Chapter 17:1, the Bible says, 17:31 "And there came one of the seven angels 17:33 which had the seven vials, 17:34 and talked with me, saying 17:36 Come hither, I will shew unto thee 17:37 the judgment of the great whore which sitteth upon many waters, 17:39 and with whom the kings of the earth 17:42 have committed fornication, 17:43 and the inhabitants of the earth 17:44 have been made drunk 17:46 with the wine of her fornication." 17:47 Very interesting, 17:48 John the Revelator is speaking here 17:50 in Revelation 17:1 17:51 and he says one of the seven angels 17:53 which has the seven vials is coming to talk with him. 17:55 Now, I want you to see what the Bible has to say 17:57 about these seven angels. 17:59 Look at Revelation 16:1 18:01 because the Bible says there 18:03 I heard a great voice out of the temple 18:05 saying to the seven angels, 18:06 go your ways and pour out the vials 18:10 of the wrath of God upon the earth. 18:12 So these seven angels, they possessed the vials 18:15 that contain the wrath of God. 18:17 But then in Revelation 15:1 the Bible says this. 18:22 "I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, 18:25 seven angels having the seven last plagues; 18:29 for in them is filled up the wrath of God." 18:32 So Revelation 16:1 tell us 18:35 that "The wrath of God is inside of those vials 18:37 that the seven angels possessed." 18:39 Revelation 15:1 tell us 18:41 that "The wrath of God 18:43 is actually the seven last plagues." 18:45 And it's one of those seven angels 18:46 that's communicating a message to John the Revelator 18:49 in Revelation 17:1. 18:50 Therefore we can now certainty 18:52 that this angel that's speaking to John the Revelator 18:55 possesses a seven of the wrath of God. 18:59 He possesses one of the seven last plagues. 19:01 His responsibility is to pour out 19:03 the judgments of God on earth. 19:05 Are you following so far? 19:07 And we actually know 19:09 what event will be the precursor 19:11 to the pouring out of the wrath of God 19:13 which are the seven last plagues 19:15 that's spoken of in the Book of Revelation 14:9, 19:18 the third angel's message, we're told there. 19:20 "And the third angel followed them, 19:23 saying with a loud voice, 19:25 If any man worship the beast and his image, 19:28 and receive his mark in his forehead, 19:30 or in his hand, 19:31 the same shall drink of the wine 19:33 of the wrath of God, 19:35 which is poured out without mixture." 19:39 It's poured out without mixture. 19:41 No mercy. 19:43 When the issue of the mark of the beast becomes a reality 19:46 and every thinking person on planet earth 19:48 makes the decision either for God 19:50 or either against God, 19:52 then will commence the pouring out of the wrath of God 19:54 which we know are the seven last plagues, 19:56 the final judgment of God. 19:59 And in Revelation 17:1 20:00 one of these angels are talking with John, 20:03 this lets us know, and I want you get this point. 20:05 He told John, "Come hither, I'm going to shew unto thee 20:08 the judgment of the great whore 20:09 which sitteth upon many waters." 20:11 In other words, 20:12 John is getting ready to receive from this angel 20:15 evidence on top of evidence, 20:18 on top of evidence 20:20 that unequivocally incriminates this whore 20:23 as being worthy of receiving the wrath of God, 20:26 the seven last plagues. 20:27 That's what we're gonna look at 20:28 right here in Revelation Chapter 17. 20:30 The Bible says that-- 20:32 He is talking about the whore now. 20:34 Unfortunately, I'm sorry, 20:35 I hope this is not offending anybody 20:36 but this is just true according to the Bible. 20:38 When the Bible speaks of whores, 20:39 usually it's speaking of those of the feminine gender. 20:43 Are you with me so far? 20:45 And a woman in Bible prophecy 20:48 is a symbol that God uses to depict His church. 20:52 In the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 6:2, the Bible says, 20:54 "I have likened the daughter of Zion 20:58 unto a comely and delicate woman." 21:00 That's Jeremiah 6:2. 21:02 Then in Isaiah 51:16, the Bible says, 21:06 "I have put my words into thy mouth, 21:07 and I have covered thee with the shadow of mine hand, 21:09 that I might plant the heavens, 21:11 and lay the foundations of the earth, 21:12 and say unto Zion, Thou art my people." 21:16 So Zion is the people of God. 21:19 And in Jeremiah 6:2, he likens the daughter of Zion 21:21 or rather he like into his people 21:24 unto a comely and delicate woman. 21:26 A woman in Bible prophecy 21:27 can be a symbol of God's people in his church. 21:30 Here we see God's people being comely and delicate. 21:32 They're not given over to disputations 21:35 and war and conflict, they are delicate. 21:38 But in 2 Corinthians 11:2, another important scripture. 21:41 2 Corinthians 11:2. 21:43 The Bible tells us there that 21:45 the Apostle Paul said, 21:46 "I am jealous over you with godly jealousy, 21:48 for I have espoused you unto one husband, 21:51 that I may present you as a chaste virgin unto Christ. 21:55 So God's people, His church 21:57 is supposed to be a comely, delicate chaste virgin. 22:01 To be chaste means that you're pure and moral. 22:06 Now, it's interesting when we look at this woman 22:08 in Revelation 17, 22:10 she may be comely, she may be beautiful, 22:11 I believe she is attractive. 22:13 Delicate, that's debatable. 22:17 Virgin, it's not debatable. 22:18 The Bible says she is a whore. 22:21 This means that we're looking at a church. 22:25 We're looking at a church that has committed adultery. 22:30 A church 22:32 that has broken its covenant relationship with God. 22:36 And do you know what God's covenant with this people. 22:38 The Bible makes it very clear. 22:39 It's in the Book of Exodus 34, we're looking at verse 28. 22:42 In Exodus 34:28, the Bible says that 22:45 that speaking of Moses, he says, 22:47 "He was there with the Lord 22:48 for forty days and forty nights, 22:49 and he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. 22:52 And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, 22:55 the Ten Commandments." 22:57 The Ten Commandments 22:59 are the covenant that God has made with His church, 23:02 that God has made with His people. 23:03 This church, this religious system 23:06 has broken God's Ten Commandments. 23:12 And very interesting 23:13 addressing the same system of worship 23:15 that I started off from the very beginning 23:17 of our walk through the Bible this evening, 23:20 the papacy, historically is noted as doing just that. 23:23 In the Bible, 23:25 we're told in the Book of Daniel, 23:26 Daniel chapter 7 verse 27 in particular 23:29 where the papacy is identified 23:31 under the peculiar symbol of a little horn. 23:33 We're told that this system would still think, 23:36 it would not but it would think 23:37 to change times and laws. 23:39 It can only think to change what God has established 23:41 because what God has established, 23:42 no man can change. 23:44 But this is a system that has sought to invested itself 23:47 with the prerogatives of God. 23:49 Therefore it has thought to change times and laws 23:52 and we see that it's done that. 23:53 I mean, I used to go to Catholic school, 23:55 I don't know about some, there may be 23:56 some faithful Catholics that are here. 23:58 Praise the Lord. 23:59 By the way, I must make it very clear, 24:01 I know some great, 24:04 great Christians that are Roman Catholic. 24:07 I also know that my one before Roman Catholic, friends, 24:11 they're continuing to study the Bible, 24:13 and they're getting enlightened on the truth 24:15 that we're talking about this evening. 24:19 And this system changed the second commandment, 24:23 did away with can't worship other gods. 24:26 That's why there is so many different idols and images 24:29 within its religious system of worship. 24:31 And most notably in the year 321 AD 24:35 under edict by Constantine the Great, 24:37 they changed God's holy Sabbath day 24:39 from the seventh day to the first day of the week. 24:42 This is historical facts we're talking about right now. 24:45 So this is a system that truly did 24:48 break it's covenant with God. 24:51 And the Bible makes it clear 24:53 how it did that in Revelation 17:2. 24:56 It says that it has committed fornication 24:58 with the kings of the earth. 25:00 This is the church 25:02 that has entered into league with the world. 25:05 The Bible says this. 25:07 The Book of James 4:4, it says, 25:09 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, 25:11 know ye not that the friendship of the world 25:13 is enmity with God? 25:15 Whosoever therefore shall be a friend of the world 25:17 is the enemy of God." 25:22 God says that if we as his professed people 25:27 make league with the world, 25:29 unfortunately no matter how much we profess 25:32 to be His servants, 25:33 in His eyesight, 25:36 He perceive us as antagonistic 25:39 to His plan of salvation and redemption for humanity. 25:44 That's a fearful thought but that's what the Bible says. 25:48 It says, whosoever happens to be friend of the world 25:50 is the enemy of God. 25:51 A church that is the enemy of God. 25:54 How could that be so? 25:56 Well, I want you to look what the Bible goes on to say, 25:58 Revelation 17, I'm looking at verse 3 now, 26:00 it's very interesting. 26:02 So now as this angel is getting ready 26:04 to reveal to John evidence that incriminates the whore 26:07 and right now I'm making it very clear, 26:09 we're talking about the papal system 26:11 that is headed by the pope. 26:14 To reveal to John evidence that incriminates the whore 26:16 is worthy of receiving the seven last plagues. 26:20 The Bible says there in Revelation 17:3, 26:22 "So he carried me away in the spirit 26:24 into the wilderness: 26:26 and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, 26:28 full of names of blasphemy, 26:30 having seven heads and ten horns." 26:31 Now, this is interesting. 26:33 Why would the angel carry John away 26:35 into the wilderness? 26:37 To show him evidence that incriminates this whore 26:39 as worthy of receiving the wrath of God. 26:42 What's so important about the wilderness? 26:44 Open you Bibles, I want you to look at this, 26:46 it's the Book of Revelation, 26:47 Revelation chapter 12 we're gonna look at verse 6 26:50 Revelation chapter 12 looking at verse 6 26:52 the Bible says something interesting here. 26:54 It says, "And the woman fled into the wilderness, 26:57 where she hath a place prepared of God, 26:59 that they should feed her there 27:01 one thousand two hundred and threescore days." 27:05 Then in Revelation 12:14, the Bible says, 27:08 "And to the woman were given two great wings of an eagle, 27:12 that she might fly into the wilderness, 27:13 into her place, 27:16 where she is nourished for a time, and times, 27:20 and half a time, from the face of the serpent." 27:22 I want you to notice that here in Revelation 12:6, 27:25 Revelation 12:14, 27:27 we see the same imagery, 27:30 a woman, she is going into the wilderness 27:32 and she is in the wilderness for a specific time frame. 27:35 In Revelation 12:6 it says 27:36 for one thousand two hundred threescore days. 27:39 A score is 20. 27:40 You do three times 20, you get 60 27:42 so you have 1260 days. 27:45 And then in Revelation 12:14, 27:49 it says that this woman goes into the wilderness 27:51 for a time, times and half a time. 27:55 And a time is a year, times is two years, 27:58 half a time is half a year, 27:59 so we have three and a half years. 28:01 But there is something important 28:03 that we need to take note of. 28:04 In Bible prophecy a day can be equal to a year. 28:07 We're given this truth in the Book of Numbers 14:34 28:10 and Ezekiel 4:6. 28:12 A day can be equal to a year in Bible prophecy. 28:15 So when we're looking at 1260 days, 28:17 we're actually looking at a literal 1260 years, 28:22 if we have a time, 28:23 time, dividing of time three and half years, 28:25 360 days to each year, 28:28 then we have the same timeframe, 1260 years. 28:32 Interesting, ladies and gentlemen. 28:34 So this woman fleece into the wilderness 28:38 for 1260 year time period. 28:42 Want you to see what else the Bible has to say 28:44 about the same timeframe 28:46 in which this woman is in the wilderness? 28:47 It's found in the Book of Revelation Chapter 13, 28:49 we gonna began at verse 4 now. 28:51 The bible says here, 28:52 "And they worshipped the dragon 28:54 which gave power unto the beast: 28:55 and they worshipped the beast, saying, 28:56 Who is like unto the beast? 28:58 Who is able to make war with him? 29:00 Verse 5, "And there was given unto him 29:01 a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, 29:04 and power was given unto him 29:05 to continue forty and two months. 29:07 We have another timeframe now. 29:10 We're looking at a beast 29:11 that is continuing forty and two months. 29:14 Okay. 29:15 Forty two months, let's deal with the timeframe, 29:17 then we'll do with the beast. 29:19 Forty two months. 29:20 If you have 30 days to a month, you have 1260 days, 29:24 a day is equal to a year, you have 1260 years. 29:28 This is the same timeframe 29:29 that this woman was in the wilderness. 29:32 So now this beast is given authority 29:35 to reign for 1260 years. 29:38 The same timeframe 29:39 that the woman is fleeing 29:40 in the wilderness from persecution. 29:42 Interesting. 29:43 Now, what is this beast? 29:45 Well, a beast in Bible prophecy 29:46 is symbolic of a kingdom or a political power. 29:49 The Bible makes it clear in the Book of Daniel, 29:50 Daniel Chapter 7. 29:52 I'm sorry, I'm moving so rapidly 29:53 but my time is short. 29:55 In Daniel 7:2, the Bible says this. 29:59 "I Daniel spake and said, 30:00 I saw in my vision by the night, 30:02 and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove 30:05 upon the great sea. 30:06 And four great beasts came up out of the sea, 30:08 diverse one from another. 30:11 Now in verse 7, the Bible says, "These great beasts, 30:14 which are four, are four kings, 30:18 which shall arise out of the earth." 30:19 But for further clarification, 30:21 if we look at Daniel 7:23, the Bible says this, 30:25 "Thus he said, The fourth beast 30:28 shall be the fourth kingdom upon the earth." 30:31 So as I said earlier and now we've looked at it directly 30:34 from the word of God, 30:35 a beast is a symbol of a political power, 30:37 a kingdom. 30:40 This beast that we're looking at here 30:42 in Revelation Chapter 13, ladies and gentlemen, 30:44 it's another prophetic symbol that the word of God uses 30:46 to identify the very same system 30:48 that I talked about from the beginning, 30:50 the Roman Catholic Church, the papacy. 30:55 talks about "This beast coming up out of the sea, 30:58 having seven heads and ten horns, 31:00 upon his horns ten crows. 31:02 And the beast saw was liken to a leopard, 31:04 it had the feet of a bear, and the mouth of a lion." 31:07 So all this prophetic language that's used for the papacy. 31:09 We'll deal with it little bit of it later. 31:11 But nonetheless, we're told that 31:12 this power would rule for 1260 years. 31:15 Do you know that it's historically true. 31:18 From the year 538 AD all the way through 1798 AD, 31:23 the papacy ruled over the then known world. 31:26 The pope held sway over the consciences of humanity. 31:32 I want you to see what the Bible tells us 31:33 that the papacy would do with its power 31:35 during that 1260 years 31:39 right here in Revelation Chapter 13, 31:42 we're going to look now at verse 7. 31:45 "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints--" 31:48 That's got to be God's people, that's got to be God's church, 31:50 that's got to be God's woman. 31:52 "It was given unto him to make war with the saints, 31:54 and to overcome them: and power was given him 31:56 over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." 32:00 This is interesting so through this 1260 year time period, 32:04 from 538 AD all the way through 1798 AD, 32:07 the papacy was persecuting 32:09 those that would now bow their knee to its dictate. 32:13 But then during that same 1260 year time period, 32:16 that 538 AD all the way through 1798 AD, 32:20 God's church is fleeing in the wilderness, 32:23 fleeing from whom? 32:25 The papacy, ladies and gentlemen. 32:28 Fleeing from persecution because we are also told 32:32 by historians 32:37 that during this timeframe, 32:41 over 50 million Christians went to bloody graves 32:45 and that is a conservative estimate. 32:49 That's some serious bloodshed 32:50 when 50 million is conservative. 32:55 What better place 32:58 could the angel carry John off into vision to 33:02 other than the murder scene of God's people? 33:08 He takes them into this 1260 year time period 33:12 where God's people, where Jesus Christ is being crucified 33:16 and the person of the saints and he says, 33:17 look at the bloodbath. 33:19 This is why this system is worthy 33:21 of receiving the judgments of God. 33:25 What better place than a murder scene? 33:30 I want you to go back with me. 33:31 Go with me back to Revelation Chapter 17. 33:34 So why did we go to the wilderness 33:35 because it's the murder scene of God's people, 33:37 it's the murder scene of Jesus Christ 33:40 and the person of its saints. 33:43 And it's so interesting because the Bible says 33:44 that when John enters into the wilderness, 33:46 he sees a woman sit upon the scarlet color beast. 33:51 He didn't say, he saw a woman seated. 33:53 He says, he saw a woman sit. 33:56 Now seated is past tense, right. 34:01 Sit is present tense. 34:02 For instance if I said, I walked into the room 34:03 and I saw you all seated here which I did. 34:06 That means when I walked in the room, 34:07 I saw you all seated here as you are. 34:10 But if I said, I walked in the room 34:11 and I saw everyone sit, 34:13 that means I saw you go from the standing position 34:15 to the seated position. 34:18 So I actually saw you go from here to there. 34:21 What did John see? 34:23 He saw the church unite with the state. 34:31 He sees this union fermented between these powers. 34:36 And as he takes a closer look at this woman, 34:38 the Bible says here, verse 4, 34:39 "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, 34:42 and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, 34:45 having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations 34:47 and filthiness of her fornication." 34:49 You know for those of you 34:50 that are familiar with the Bible, 34:52 you may, it may be very apparent to you 34:54 that attire of this apostate system 34:59 unfortunately I must say this way. 35:02 This system of worship that is antagonistic 35:05 against God's true designs for humanity. 35:08 You will notice that her attire is very similar 35:12 to that of the high priest in the Levitical system. 35:15 If you open your Bibles, just look there with me 35:17 in the Book of Exodus Chapter 28. 35:19 In Exodus 28 Chapter, I'm gonna begin at verse 4. 35:22 This is what the Bible tells us 35:23 concerning the garments of the high priest. 35:26 "And these are the garments which they shall make; 35:28 a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, 35:30 and a broidered coat, and a mitre, and a girdle: 35:32 and they shall make holy garments 35:34 for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, and he, 35:39 that he may minister unto me in the priest's office. 35:42 " Verse 5, "And they shall take gold, and blue, 35:45 and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen." 35:49 So the high priest has gold, the woman has gold. 35:53 The high priest has blue, the woman has no blue. 35:56 The high priest has purple, the woman has purple. 35:59 The high priest has scarlet, the woman has scarlet. 36:01 The high priest has fine linen, 36:03 the woman, the whore has no fine linen. 36:06 Why is this woman lacking fine linen and blue 36:09 which the high priest possesses? 36:10 Well, let's find out what the fine linen is a symbol of? 36:12 In the Book of Revelation 19:8, the Bible makes it very clear 36:16 what fine linen is a symbol of. 36:18 Revelation 19:8 tells us this. 36:20 "And to her was granted 36:22 that she should be arrayed in fine linen, 36:24 clean and white: for the fine linen 36:25 is the righteousness of the saints." 36:30 Fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. 36:34 But this woman does not posses the fine linen, why? 36:37 Because she lacks 36:38 the righteousness of Jesus Christ. 36:40 Can it be that she stands in her own self righteousness? 36:45 Stalling herself to be holy. 36:47 Stalling herself to even stand in the position of God. 36:53 Bible says that this woman lacks blue, 36:55 even though the high priest has blue, 36:57 why does she lack blue? 36:58 What is this blue a symbol of? 37:00 Well, the Bible tells us 37:01 in the Book of Numbers Chapter 15 37:02 beginning at verse 38. 37:04 In Numbers 15:38, the word of God tells us this. 37:07 "Speak unto the children of Israel, 37:09 and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders 37:11 throughout their generations, 37:12 and that they put upon the fringe of the borders 37:14 a ribband of blue 37:17 and it shall be unto you for a fringe." 37:21 Why? 37:22 That she may look upon it, and remember 37:25 all the commandments of the Lord, and that ye seek 37:28 not after your own heart and your own eyes, 37:31 after which ye use to go a whoring." 37:36 It's evident why the whore when it possessed the blue 37:40 because she is a whore. 37:44 She has departed from the commandments of God. 37:49 This is what God is saying. 37:51 But yet, even though she is departed 37:53 from the commandments of God, 37:54 even though she truly does not posses 37:56 the righteousness of Jesus Christ, 37:58 she presents herself 38:00 as one that has the authority to minister 38:03 in the place of the high priest. 38:06 This is a system that is actually 38:08 usurping the ministry of Jesus Christ 38:11 which is now officiating in the courts of heaven 38:14 on our behalves. 38:16 The Bible says it right there in the Book of Hebrews 8:1. 38:20 "Now of the things which we have spoken 38:22 this is the sum: 38:24 We have such an high priest, who is set 38:26 at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 38:28 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, 38:33 which the Lord pitched, and not man." 38:35 Jesus Christ is our great high priest. 38:38 It is His righteousness that that we need, 38:40 so that we can walk in harmony with the will of the Lord. 38:43 He is pleading His blood daily on our behalves, 38:45 so that we might gain victory over sin 38:47 and be adorned with the beauty of His holiness, 38:49 so we can stand in the presence of God 38:51 and be with Him throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity. 38:55 But this system seeks to usurp 38:59 the position of authority of Jesus Christ. 39:02 That's why God says, I'm at enmity with you 39:05 because you're turning people away from My Son. 39:09 You're turning people away from My Son, 39:10 even though you may pretentiously say 39:12 that you're turning people to My Son, 39:14 you're really turning people to yourself. 39:20 Can't judge a book by its cover. 39:24 Quote says here Revelation Chapter 17, 39:28 Revelation 17:5, 39:32 "Although she is attired and beautifully 39:35 and all of these things, just the gold on, 39:40 precious stones and the pearls." 39:42 You'll notice that she has another interesting color on 39:45 and that is purple. 39:47 Why purple? 39:51 You know, the Bible says something very interesting 39:52 about this color purple 39:54 and it's found in the book of proverbs, 39:58 proverbs Chapter 31. 40:01 I'm going to look at Proverbs Chapter 31 40:03 and I'm going to begin at verse 10. 40:05 The Bible says this, "Who can find a virtuous woman? 40:09 For her price is far above rubies." 40:13 Look at how the Bible says that a virtuous woman is attired. 40:17 She maketh her coverings of tapestry, 40:20 her clothing is silk and purple. 40:24 The virtuous woman is clothed in purple. 40:26 Do you know what it means to be virtuous? 40:28 It means to be of high moral fiber. 40:30 You are very moral. A moral woman wears purple. 40:35 Brothers and sisters, do you see the point. 40:38 This system and once again I say this distinctly 40:43 as I said it at this from the onset. 40:45 My words are not to offend. 40:47 My words are not to discourage. 40:48 My words are not ruffle feathers. 40:50 My words are to present the truth of the word of God. 40:54 This system which God says has broken its covenant, 40:58 broken its commandments. 40:59 This system which God says does not truly present 41:01 the righteousness of Jesus Christ, 41:03 though it may present itself as one that is seeking 41:06 to uphold Jesus Christ before humanity. 41:09 This system, it covers itself with purple. 41:12 Not only present itself as royal, 41:15 but it presents itself 41:17 as a leading moral authority for mankind. 41:22 A church of high morality. 41:25 It's that what's going on right now? 41:27 Is the world looking at the papacy 41:31 as the leading moral authority for humanity? 41:36 You know, God said right here that this is the way 41:40 that we would proceed the system, 41:43 but then because God is the searcher of heart, 41:46 He knows the very inward thoughts of all, 41:49 He shows us its very true character in Revelation 17:4. 41:54 He says, "Upon her forehead--" meaning this is her character, 41:58 the forehead is connected to the frontal lobe. 41:59 This is where reasoning 42:01 and judgment processes take place. 42:02 Character formation right there in the forehead. 42:04 He says, "Upon her forehead was a name written--" 42:07 What is the name? 42:09 Verse 5, "Mystery, Babylon the Great, 42:13 the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth." 42:19 This system unfortunately according to God, 42:24 it is nothing more than the continuation 42:26 of the deceptions, the lies, the idolatry, the heathenism... 42:33 that originated in Babylon. 42:36 But it's garbed, it's clothed 42:39 in a thin veneer of Christian garments. 42:47 Very interesting. 42:49 Word of God goes on to say this, 42:51 I'm looking at Revelation 17:6. 42:55 It says, "I saw the woman 42:56 drunken with the blood of the saints, 42:57 and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: 42:59 and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration." 43:03 As the Bible made it clear earlier, 43:05 this system was responsible for persecuting God's people, 43:09 sending them to bloody graves. 43:14 Something that I always find interesting 43:15 about this verse of scripture. 43:16 I don't think I can get away from it. 43:18 Says "I saw her drunken with the blood of the saints, 43:20 and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus." 43:22 I think to myself every time I look at this, 43:24 blood of the saints, blood of the martyrs of Jesus, 43:26 on the martyrs of Jesus, the same as the saints, 43:28 why is there a distinction being made here? 43:30 Who are the martyrs of Jesus? 43:31 Want you to see what the Bible says, 43:33 Revelation Chapter 2. 43:34 In Revelation Chapter 2, 43:35 Jesus presents to John the Revelator, 43:38 the seven churches. 43:40 And in the second church which is the church of Smyrna, 43:42 he makes a statement. 43:44 Verse 9, Jesus is speaking, all red letters, 43:46 we know Jesus speaking Himself. 43:48 He says, "I know thy works, and tribulation, 43:51 and poverty, but thou art rich, 43:53 and I know the blasphemy of them 43:56 which say they are Jews, and are not, 44:00 but are the synagogue of Satan." 44:03 Hold on, let's jump down to verse 13, 44:04 I took it the wrong scripture. 44:06 Verse 13, check the progress, "I know thy works, 44:09 and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is, 44:12 and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, 44:16 even in those days wherein Antipas, 44:19 my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, 44:22 where Satan dwelleth." 44:24 Jesus said that Antipas was His faithful martyr. 44:27 So Antipas was the martyr of Jesus 44:30 because this was Jesus speaking. 44:32 Reason I find this so intriguing 44:33 is because if you search the Bible 44:35 from Genesis to Revelation, 44:36 you will never find one other reference to Antipas. 44:39 You will literally break a brain cell, 44:42 trying to find Antipas 44:44 in any type of religious history. 44:48 It's like there is no other account of Antipas 44:50 other than that which is spoken of by Jesus Christ Himself 44:52 here in Revelation 2:13, which leads me to believe 44:57 that Antipas stand as a symbol for something. 45:00 You take that word, you break it apart. 45:01 Anti means against. 45:02 Pas come from the root world Papa. 45:04 Papa means pope. 45:05 Did anybody have a message against the pope? 45:09 Were they're those that were testifying, 45:11 giving a faithful testimony against popery 45:15 that was sent to blood graves. 45:17 Many are Protestant reformer that we can tick off 45:23 on our list in relationship to that information. 45:26 But nonetheless, I find that very interesting. 45:29 But let's finish because our time is short. 45:32 Revelation Chapter 17, 45:34 please don't miss this point. 45:39 So as John the Revelator behold this system, 45:42 drunken with the blood of the saints 45:44 and drunken with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus, 45:47 the Bible says that he begins to wonder 45:49 with great admiration. 45:52 But as he is wondering with great admiration, 45:54 the Bible says in verse 7, that "The angels said unto him, 45:57 Wherefore didst thou marvel?" 45:59 in other words, he is saying, why are you marveling? 46:02 Why are you admiring the system? 46:04 What is wrong? What is wrong with you John? 46:06 Wake up. 46:10 He's trying to wake John up. Why are you marveling? 46:14 But notice that John the Revelator, 46:16 this is a man filled with the spirit of God. 46:18 He is taken off in vision right now, 46:20 but as he beholds this system in all of its power 46:23 bearing sway over humanity, willing to subject, 46:26 having the ability to subjugate anybody, 46:30 who did not follow its dictate. 46:34 He was in awe. 46:37 He began to wonder with great admiration, 46:39 a man filled with the Spirit of God. 46:42 When he saw this system 46:44 wielding both religious and political power in one, 46:47 he began to wonder with great admiration. 46:53 And the only way that he was snapped out of it was 46:55 because the angel said, wake up, before it is down- 46:59 I'm going to show unto you the truth about this woman. 47:02 Ladies and gentlemen, 47:03 you know the Bible says that in these last days, 47:05 the same thing is going to happen to people. 47:08 People that are filled with the Spirit of God, 47:10 it's right here Book of Matthew, 47:12 Matthew Chapter 24. 47:13 Matthew Chapter 24, 47:15 I'm going to look now at verse 24. 47:17 The Bible says this, 47:18 "And there shall arise false christs, 47:20 and false prophets, 47:21 and shall show great signs and wonders; 47:25 insomuch that, if it were possible, 47:28 they shall deceive the very elect." 47:33 The very elect people filled with the Spirit of God. 47:36 These signs and wonders are going to take place. 47:38 They're going to be so impressive 47:39 upon the human mind that if the Spirit of God 47:44 does not keep our minds in that hour, no intellectual, 47:50 no intellectual attainment that we have concerning 47:53 the truths contained within the word of God will keep us. 47:57 Only the Spirit of God will be able to secure us in that hour. 48:03 That's why the word of God counsels us very clearly 48:06 in the Book of Ephesians 4:30, 48:08 "And grieve not the Spirit of God, 48:11 whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." 48:14 Do not grieve the spirit. 48:15 When the Spirit of God says to you, 48:16 don't talk like that. 48:18 Be kind, be gentle, don't go there, 48:20 don't look at that. 48:22 Don't grieve him. 48:23 Do not turn his voice away from you. 48:25 Obey and listen why? 48:27 Because day by day as you're obeying the spirit, 48:29 you are nurturing a relationship with God. 48:34 That is going to make you filled with the Spirit of God, 48:36 so that in the hour of crisis, you are so accustomed 48:39 to hearing the voice of the Spirit of God 48:41 and you're so accustomed to yielding 48:42 to the voice of the spirit of God, 48:44 that when false christ arrive, he will say, 48:48 this is the way, walking in it. 48:52 He will keep us in that hour. 48:55 See how important it is that we have the Spirit of God, 48:58 every morning, we pray, Lord, fill me with your spirit. 49:00 Every night we pray, Lord, forgive me for where I fell 49:03 but Lord, give me your spirit, keep me by Thy grace, 49:06 so I can walk in Your will, 49:07 use me to help others know Your truth. 49:09 Amen. Praise the Lord. 49:11 So important, we must listen to the spirit. 49:18 But now, 49:21 we need to see what this angel is going to show to John 49:24 because he says, I'm going to show unto you 49:26 the truth about this woman 49:31 and the beast that she is riding on. 49:34 That the beat that's carrying her 49:36 which has seven heads and ten horns. 49:37 Here it is, verse 8, 49:39 "The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; 49:41 and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit." 49:43 So the beast was in power, that's 538 AD, 49:47 that's when it came into its power. 49:48 It's not 1798 AD. 49:50 In 1798, the papacy received a prophetic deadly wound, 49:56 it was stripped of its civil power 49:57 by the French Government-- 49:59 no longer being able to use the civil arm of the state 50:03 to enforce its dogmas and decrees on the masses. 50:06 So it had its deadly wound but the Bible says, 50:08 it will ascend out of the bottomless pit, 50:10 almost as if it will resurrect once again to power. 50:12 It will once again have this authority invested in it, 50:16 not the just ecclesiastical but simple. 50:20 And the Bible says this, 50:22 when it ascends out of the bottomless pit, 50:23 look what the Bible says will take place. 50:25 "And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, 50:29 whose names are not written in the book of life 50:31 from the foundation of the world, 50:32 when they behold the beast that was, 50:34 and is not, and yet is." 50:36 People will begin to wonder 50:37 when they see this beast come back into power, 50:40 they will say what we saw right there in Revelation 12:4. 50:46 Who is able to make war with him? 50:49 Why would anybody want to make war with such a moral power? 50:53 Such a moral compass for humanity? 50:57 Then verse 9, this is where I'll close for this evening. 51:00 Verse 9 makes this statement, it's very interesting. 51:03 "And here is the mind which hath wisdom. 51:06 The seven heads are seven mountains, 51:08 on which the whore sitteth." 51:11 "The seven heads are seven mountains, 51:13 on which the woman sitteth." 51:14 Those of you that are knowledgeable of geography, 51:16 you know that Rome sits on seven hills, very true. 51:21 When I look at the scripture, 51:22 the thing that always comes to my mind 51:24 is who is the author of geography 51:27 and the answer comes back loud and clear, God. 51:29 God is the one that created all things. 51:31 Genesis Chapter 1, "In the beginning 51:32 God created the heavens and the earth." 51:35 Then the next question comes into my mind, 51:36 "Does God know the difference between a hill and a mountain?" 51:40 Rome sits on seven hills 51:42 but He said this seven heads are seven mountains. 51:46 I'm just, I'm just under the idea 51:49 that God knows something about mountains and hills. 51:53 What can a mountain stand as a symbol of in the Bible? 51:56 You know, there is a very interesting instance 51:58 in the Bible. 51:59 By the way mountains have 52:01 several different prophetic applications in the Bible, 52:04 but there is a very interesting instance in the Bible 52:06 that I would like to address at this time. 52:09 It's found within the Book of John Chapter 4. 52:11 In John Chapter 4, most of you are familiar with this, 52:13 Jesus spoke with a woman at the well. 52:16 And as He asked her to go get her husband, 52:18 she said I have no husband and He said, you said right 52:21 because the man that you are with now 52:22 and the other five, none of them were your husbands. 52:23 She said, "Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet." 52:26 Then she went on to say this to Jesus looking at 52:30 at the Book of John 4:20. 52:37 She said, "Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, 52:40 and ye say, that in Jerusalem 52:43 is the place where men ought to worship." 52:45 So she said, our fathers, as Samaritans 52:48 we worship at this mountain but you Jews you say 52:50 that it's at Jerusalem where men ought to worship, worship. 52:53 And if you look at the Book of Zechariah 8:3 52:56 God calls Jerusalem His holy mountain. 52:59 So she is saying, we worship at this mountain 53:01 and you worship at that mountain 53:03 which you call the holy mountain 53:04 which is the right mountain. 53:07 Do you see here how the mountain 53:09 is directly associated with worship? 53:12 Do you see here how it's actually 53:14 even connected to worship systems? 53:17 Why do I find this interesting the number seven in the Bible 53:19 is a number of completion, perfection. 53:25 I'm presenting to you here that this mountain 53:27 or these mountains that are being set before us, 53:30 they are not just talking about 53:31 the geographical location of Rome 53:33 but it's talking about some type of authority 53:35 that will be conveyed or invested 53:38 into the hands of Rome. 53:39 Mountains symbolic of worship systems. 53:42 Well, if I have seven and I have mountains, 53:45 could this be a union of all of the faiths on planet earth. 53:55 A union of all the religious systems on planet earth 54:00 and they will be led up by the Pope of Rome. 54:05 Ladies and gentlemen, do you know 54:06 that's the very design of the papacy? 54:09 Its called ecumenism started many years ago. 54:14 Pope John Paul II was one of the most effective popes 54:19 in accomplishing the designs of ecumenism. 54:22 Is something like this 54:23 even beginning to take place right now? 56:34 Because when it ascends out of the bottomless pit 56:36 once again the Bible says, 56:38 "All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, 56:40 whose names are not found written in the book of life." 56:45 It's spoken of differently here in Revelation 13:8 56:48 and it says "And they that dwell 56:49 upon the earth shall worship him, 56:51 whose names are not in the book of life of the Lamb 56:53 slain from the foundation of the world." 56:55 What's the point here? 56:56 Our names need to be in the book, 56:59 because we see the prophecies fulfilling right now 57:01 and the very important issue 57:05 that must be at the forefront of our minds 57:07 is are our names in the book 57:09 and will our names remain in the book? 57:11 Am I following the lamb whether so ever the lamb goes? 57:16 Am I allowing Him to cleanse me daily of my sins? 57:20 Am I by faith growing in His character? 57:23 Is He using me to help my family members, my wife, 57:26 my children see a reflection of His character 57:30 in the way that I carry myself within the home? 57:33 Do my coworkers see the love of Christ 57:35 in the way that I work in the business place? 57:37 Do my neighbors see it? 57:39 Can the world see 57:40 that you're cleansed by the blood of the Lamb? 57:42 Will your name be in the book? Our names must be in that book. 57:47 Amen. 57:51 Because the beast is getting ready to come out of the pit. 57:54 But Jesus says, "Come unto Me, come unto Me." |
