01:01 Hello, and welcome to 3ABN Live.
01:02 We are right here in Southern Illinois 01:04 right in Thompsonville. 01:06 Illinois actually at the 3ABN headquarters 01:09 between Thompsonville and West Frankfort, 01:10 Illinois, and we're here for the camp meeting, 01:13 and we're having a wonderful time. 01:15 We got folks from all across the United States. 01:17 and I've seen a few folks from other countries. 01:20 So we're glad that you all are here. 01:21 Are you happy? Yes! 01:22 Everybody's happy in the Lord? Amen. 01:24 All right. I don't have tonight. 01:26 Maybe in tomorrow night or so if some of you will right 01:28 where you're from or we'll get it. 01:30 I've tried this before. 01:31 And I'll say where you're from and it sounds like 01:32 we're all speaking in tongues, 01:34 because I hear all these different states 01:36 come out at the same time. 01:37 But we're glad that you're here and for those of you joining us 01:40 from around the world, thank you for your love 01:43 and your prayers and financial support 01:44 of Three Angels Broadcasting Network. 01:46 Camp meeting is a special time, isn't it? 01:48 And this reminds me of when I was just a kid, 01:51 we had a lake down here called Little Grassy Lake 01:53 in Southern Illinois, 01:55 and we always had camp meetings, 01:56 and camp meeting was the funnest time. 01:58 But, of course, as a kid 01:59 that was running through the woods 02:01 and playing with the other folks. 02:02 But I remember the campfires when we get serious 02:05 and we heard the stories, 02:06 and we heard the good preaching. 02:08 And I think that's what this is an extension of that today. 02:10 It's kind of, we come to 3ABN camp meeting, 02:12 we tried to design it, to have good music, 02:14 to have good testimonies, to have good preaching, 02:17 things that will inspire us to go out and renew. 02:21 Sometimes you got to go to the gas station, right? 02:23 Today, it's kind of tough to do that 02:25 unless you got a lot of money, right? 02:26 Gas going as high as it is. 02:28 But sometimes we have to stop 02:29 and go to the gas station to get refilled 02:32 and so that's what we do spiritually too. 02:34 We need to come to the gas station, 02:36 say Lord, "Help me fill me." 02:39 And it helps me to see other people 02:41 who have the same visions 02:43 and goals and desires that I have. 02:45 And that's to get the three angels' messages 02:48 to the world. 02:49 So it's a great time to get together. 02:51 We spend time in prayer together, 02:52 time in fellowship and so I look forward 02:55 to seeing each of you through the next few days 02:57 and for those of you that are at home 02:59 that are watching, we just invite you to come on, 03:01 come on out too, 03:02 you can get here to Southern Illinois, 03:03 some folks say you can't get here 03:05 but you can. 03:06 If you take the right highways, 03:07 this is a place they say it's nowhere 03:09 but it's not in the middle of nowhere. 03:10 It's where God appointed 3ABN to be 03:13 so we invite you here also. 03:14 What I'd like to do right now, 03:16 our theme this year is The Year of Victory. 03:19 And I'm gonna ask Pastor John Lomacang 03:21 to come out and lead us, 03:22 and he's being accompanied by ET Everett and Donna Klein. 03:25 Thank you all for being here too. 03:27 And a little bit we're gonna so, 03:29 we're gonna have a special music in just a bit. 03:31 We're gonna have testimonies and Elder Kenneth Cox 03:33 will be ministering to us in a little bit. 03:35 Hey, John. 03:36 We're gonna sing some songs together. 03:38 Yes, I hope so. 03:40 Victory in Jesus? Amen. 07:35 Praise the Lord. 07:37 John, I'd like to introduce our board chairman at 3ABN, 07:41 Dr. Walter Thompson. 07:42 Dr. Thompson, thank you for being here. 07:44 Hey, it's a privilege. 07:45 We had a good board meeting today. 07:47 Real good. 07:48 The Lord blessed and each time we have our board meetings, 07:51 new vision and new excitement, 07:53 new zeal to say let's continue doing 07:55 what we've always done, only let's do it better. 07:58 And let's give it more to God 07:59 and quit depending on ourselves. 08:01 And new challenges. New challenges? 08:03 Well, yeah, there's some new challenges. 08:04 But you know what? 08:05 Satan doesn't have any power in comparison to God. 08:09 Right? 08:10 You know, it's so neat to me, Danny, to see every challenge, 08:14 something good comes out of it. 08:16 That is something you couldn't have dreamed would happen. 08:18 Yeah. 08:19 I mean, they always turn out that way so. 08:20 Let me give you an example. 08:22 Well, that was a great lead in, 08:23 I should bring him with me all the time. 08:25 Great lead in, something that challenge, 08:28 some time ago, we were taken off 08:30 at the Sky Angel network. 08:32 So those of you at home be sure you're listening to this now. 08:36 We were taken off a Sky Angel Network 08:38 and I think there must have been... 08:40 Or call your neighbors too. 08:41 Call all your neighbors, your friends, 08:42 your enemies, everybody. 08:44 And we were taken off the Sky Angel 08:46 and not put back on for a long time 08:48 but through a lot of negotiations, 08:51 through a lot of prayer 08:52 and a lot of working of the Holy Spirit, 08:55 3ABN went on today on to Dish Network. 08:59 And y'all excited about that? 09:01 Okay. 09:04 We're on two... 09:06 We're on one little area, right? 09:08 No, no, no one not one little area, 09:10 stop there. 09:11 No, no, we're two satellites and we're on the basic package, 09:16 one is the same satellite that Sky Angel is presently on. 09:20 So those who have Sky Angel now will get 3ABN again, 09:25 even though it's broader than just Sky Angel. 09:27 We used to be just on the Sky Angel. 09:29 There are many other channels now also, 09:32 on one of the other satellites I think it's 129 and one's 160. 09:36 I don't want to give them 'cause what is it, 160? 09:39 One on East Coast, one on West Coast. 09:40 Okay, one on the East Coast, one on the West Coast. 09:42 I'm gonna pull out 09:43 what they call a cheat sheet, okay. 09:45 61.5 degrees on the East Coast, 09:48 129 degrees on the West Coast. 09:50 3ABN's on the basic package. 09:53 So what's happening, 09:54 people who never got 3ABN on Sky Angel 09:57 are now getting us on Dish Network. 10:00 All the Sky Angel people are getting us 10:02 plus all these other folk with either of the two dishes. 10:05 So that's taking in a tremendous amount of people. 10:08 For instance, here in Southern Illinois alone, 10:11 Pastor Lomacang called me this afternoon 10:12 and he said guess what? 10:14 I've got the Dish Network and 3ABN just appeared. 10:17 He can watch 3ABN now? 10:18 Yeah, he can watch 3ABN. 10:19 Well, he has another way to do it. 10:21 But he had been suspecting 10:22 that 3ABN was coming on here shortly. 10:25 So he said I've turned on and I'm getting it 10:27 on my basic package. 10:29 This is not the Sky Angel satellite. 10:32 This is dish satellite, I just have one. 10:34 I've got my other channels. 10:36 And so where there are full power channels 10:38 on local stations, 10:40 people have to subscribe to those separately. 10:41 If you have Dish Network, for instance, 10:43 and you want your local eight, 10:44 so for ABC or NBC or CBS, 10:49 'cause you want news and local weather, whatever, 10:52 then when you subscribe to that, 10:53 automatically 3ABN comes on. 10:55 So that's one of those things where there's challenges. 10:58 You say how we're gonna do this, 11:00 we lost about 50,000 homes, 11:02 Adventist who had purchased these other Sky Angel systems 11:05 as well as the other. 11:07 However many thousands and thousands of people 11:09 that are not Seventh-day Adventist Christians, 11:12 we lost all of those homes. 11:13 But God not only gave us all of those back, 11:16 but he probably doubled, quadrupled, 11:17 and many times more to a bigger audience. 11:22 That's neat. 11:25 That was a pretty good example, wasn't it? 11:26 That's true. 11:28 Challenges and we're still facing 11:29 a lot of challenges. 11:30 We will be honest with you, 11:32 there's a lot of challenges going on. 11:33 But if we weren't facing challenges, 11:34 something's wrong. 11:36 Am I right? Amen. 11:38 And we haven't given up on our merger 11:40 with Amazing Facts either. 11:42 That's moving forward and keep it in your prayers. 11:44 Yeah, we're working to merge it, 11:46 any of you hear about the merger 3ABN? 11:49 Okay. Some of you have, some of you haven't. 11:51 We're looking at merging with Amazing Facts. 11:54 And all we know how to do is announce it to you 11:56 all to pray about it. 11:57 There's a lot of extenuating circumstances, 12:00 a lot of things that have to be looked at legally, 12:03 and looked at contractually. 12:04 But spiritually, we see a lot of things 12:07 that we have in common and Amazing Facts 12:09 and 3ABN preach the same message. 12:11 If you haven't noticed, anybody notice that? 12:13 We preach the same message 12:15 and not everybody preaches the same message. 12:16 So we have something in common 12:18 and by working together with their school of evangelism 12:21 and with our tools for television, 12:23 we think we can do much more than we can do individually. 12:27 So you be praying, if it's the Lord's will, 12:29 we're gonna do this. 12:30 If for some reason it isn't, 12:31 then we're still gonna be friends. 12:33 We're gonna work together every way that we can 12:35 because we support Doug Batchelor 12:36 and Amazing Facts. 12:37 They'll still support 3ABN but right now it's up, 12:41 we want you all to pray about that the Lord's will be done. 12:44 So there's a lot of great things happening. 12:46 The Ten Commandments weekend, 12:48 any of you see the Ten Commandments weekend? 12:49 All right, quite a few of you did. 12:51 If not for those of you at home, 12:53 the DVDs will be available. 12:55 We had an incredible time in Chicago. 12:57 Did anybody here go to Chicago? 12:59 All right, some of you there. 13:00 Didn't we have a great time up there? 13:02 Yes. 13:03 Nothing like it to see and the Chicago Tribune 13:05 did a front page article on 3ABN 13:07 and the Ten Commandments weekend. 13:09 That paper's a little bit bigger 13:11 than our daily American here in West Frankfort. 13:12 Yeah, probably a little bit. 13:14 Yeah, a few more subscribers 13:15 and we had taxicabs and I guess buses 13:19 and things all through the city 13:20 that said Ten Commandments weekend on it and advertised. 13:24 And so it was an incredible time, 13:25 we had a great lineup of speakers. 13:27 And these are the type of things 13:29 that I believe we as Christians, 13:31 in particular Seventh-day Adventist Christians 13:33 should be proclaiming to the world. 13:35 God's Ten Commandments, we forget people forget 13:38 that they're Ten Commandments, don't they? 13:40 What were we told this morning about that? 13:42 Never in history of the Christian church 13:43 has anybody done anything like this? 13:45 That's what I heard this morning. 13:46 Someone was telling us never in the history 13:48 as he just said of the Christian church, 13:50 has there been anything like these last two weekends 13:54 of the Ten Commandment last year, 13:55 and this weekend we're for all of these hours 13:58 and all night long, we do nothing 13:59 but uplift the law of God. 14:01 Because by uplifting the law of God, 14:03 we uplift His character, right? 14:05 Because the law of God 14:07 is nothing more than a transcript 14:09 of God's own character. 14:10 And so what else should we be doing 14:13 as Christians and particularly Seventh-day Adventists 14:15 who believe in giving the three angels messages' 14:17 to the world, 14:18 then to stand up boldly and proclaim, 14:20 there's not eight commandments, 14:21 there's not nine commandments, 14:23 none of them have been nailed to the cross. 14:25 They're still valid, because they're moral, 14:27 they're everlasting. 14:28 And this and there's all and there's ten of them, 14:31 including the remember one that people forget 14:33 the fourth commandment, the Seventh-day Sabbath. 14:35 Some of us can't count to 10. 14:37 Yeah, we don't, but we better learn, 14:39 time is getting short. 14:40 So we need to learn to count to 10. 14:42 But there's some exciting things 14:43 and we couldn't do this without your help. 14:45 So I'm gonna just tell you that 14:46 it's great for your praying for us. 14:48 We appreciate your prayers, 14:50 but we also appreciate your finances. 14:51 And thank you for those who are giving, 14:53 those who are giving on a monthly basis. 14:55 Because we, you have no idea what it means 14:58 when we lost the Sky Angel group 15:00 about probably 50,000 homes, 15:02 our monthly donations went way down out of sight, 15:05 out of mind, as they say, 15:06 and I think a lot of people just, 15:08 if they don't say you, yeah, well, I wanna say, 15:10 just said, out of sight, out of mind. 15:11 And so we're thankful that's coming back. 15:13 But we want to thank 15:15 each and every one of you for what you do. 15:17 But think about a monthly, 15:18 even if it's $10 or $50 or $100, 15:21 your gifts on a monthly basis keep 3ABN maintained. 15:27 The larger gifts that people are able to give 15:30 from time to time keep us growing, 15:32 going and growing into all the world. 15:33 So I want to say thank you in advance. 15:36 And we want to thank all of you 15:38 who have been working with Leonard Westfall, 15:39 Dr. Leonard Westphal in our Wills 15:41 and Trust department, 15:42 charitable gift, annuities, trust, 15:44 all of those things have been a tremendous, 15:46 tremendous blessing to 3ABN. 15:48 It is true, Danny, too that there are 15:49 so many opportunities out there waiting, 15:51 that we could use all the resources, 15:53 we could get our hands on. 15:55 Well, I don't know about all of you. 15:57 And I think those of you here 15:58 and many of you watching on TV agree 16:00 but I am homesick. 16:02 I mean, it's taken me a while to get homesick for heaven. 16:04 We say we are, but I think I'm tired. 16:07 I really am. 16:08 I want to see Jesus come. That's right. 16:10 And I'm really looking at my own things that I have. 16:12 My own little resources and I want each of you 16:15 to maybe think and pray about it yourself. 16:17 Lord, what are we really doing to advance Your kingdom? 16:20 What are we really doing? 16:22 What kind of sacrifices are we making? 16:24 Anybody can give if they've got it. 16:27 Anybody can go somewhere if they have the time. 16:29 Are we taking the time? 16:31 Are we giving what we don't have? 16:33 Are we trusting God to do it? 16:35 And I believe as we work together, 16:37 that we will see this ministry be able to grow 16:40 by leaps and bounds like never before. 16:43 And I think all of us, 16:44 so how many of you homesick for heaven. 16:45 Right? All right. 16:47 Praise the Lord. 16:48 Dr. Thompson, would you lead us in prayer? 16:50 Sure. Let's pray. 16:51 Our Father, 16:54 it's just so neat to know you, 16:57 and to know that we're Your children, 17:00 that You love us. 17:02 Father, just last few weeks, 17:04 I guess I've been thinking about 17:06 the vastness of this universe 17:07 that we can look out with the telescope 17:09 and see out 10 billion light years away. 17:11 And all through that billions 17:13 and billions and billions of stars, 17:15 Lord, You created this, 17:17 You made it, You sustain it 17:19 and You're the same God that loves us. 17:22 And any one of us, Father, 17:24 You would have let Jesus come, 17:28 pay the price of heaven to rescue us 17:31 and take us home with You. 17:32 And it's just that boggles my mind, Father, 17:35 but I just thank You that You're that kind of a God 17:37 that You love each one of us that much 17:38 that You pay any price to save us. 17:40 And we realize that, Father, 17:42 tonight we just come to praise Your name. 17:44 And I just pray that You'll be with this meeting everything 17:46 that happens here tonight, Father, 17:48 may Your Spirit be in charge, 17:49 and we just want to worship You, Father. 17:51 And, Lord, I want to give You a special praise for the news 17:55 from Dish Network tonight. 17:57 Or this is a good thing for 3ABN. 17:59 We just appreciate that so for all of Your goodness, Father, 18:01 we thank You and praise You tonight 18:02 in Jesus' name. 18:04 Amen. 18:05 I'd like to say one more thing about 18:06 Dr. Thompson and our board. 18:08 Do you realize that the board that 3ABN has, 18:09 we have about 11 people right now, 18:11 many of those have been on for approximately 22 years, 18:15 21-22 years, that's amazing. 18:17 I talked to people and they say, 18:18 "Well, we've never seen boards who have stuck together 18:21 for all of those years." 18:23 Dr. Thompson's been on 20 plus years, 18:25 Ellsworth McKee's been on over 20 years. 18:27 Bill Hulsey that's here somewhere 18:29 has been on over 20 years. 18:31 Larry Welch from here that's been on over 20 years. 18:33 May Chung been on for over 20 years. 18:36 And Owen and Troy's been on for over 20 years 18:39 and his daughter Carmelita has been on and how many else? 18:42 There may be a couple others. 18:44 We have some newer ones. 18:45 Merlin, I saw Merlin here somewhere, 18:46 Farley's over here somewhere and Joanne, 18:49 and we have other board members, 18:51 and we're thankful for Ken Denslow, 18:52 you know, the other board. 18:54 So I'm not trying to name all of our board members, 18:55 but I'm saying boards that sticking together 18:58 for over 20 years, 18:59 you get to know each other pretty well. 19:01 You get to know the intent 19:03 and the desires of their hearts. 19:05 And I want to say under the leadership 19:06 of Dr. Thompson, 19:07 we have an incredible board of directors at 3ABN 19:11 who are intense about getting the gospel 19:14 into all the world. 19:15 Mollie Steenson has been with us 19:17 a number of years not 10 or not 20 but she's been, 19:20 how many of you been, Mollie? 19:23 Twelve years with us 19:25 and on the board for the last few years. 19:27 And so we were just thankful for all the board members. 19:30 You know what's exemplified again today? 19:32 You know, everything we voted on today 19:34 had unanimous vote. 19:35 Yeah. 19:36 You know and that's been kind of 19:38 and you can say that 19:39 we don't really independent thinkers. 19:40 You know, we're all in your back pocket 19:42 or something but, you know. 19:43 Now, sometimes that'd be nice, 19:45 you know, but, doesn't work that way. 19:47 It's amazes to me... 19:48 Don't laugh, your wives aren't in your back pocket either. 19:50 You just not all the time, right? 19:52 And husbands either. 19:54 But it amazes me that independent thinkers 19:56 can come to that kind of conclusion. 19:57 Yeah, right. It's just. 19:58 I think just a miracle of God. That's what I think. 20:00 It's because we have a vision of the three angels' messages, 20:03 an undiluted three angels' messages one 20:05 that would counteract a counterfeit. 20:06 Why do you think the devil hates 3ABN so bad? 20:10 No, nobody here is perfect. 20:11 And yes, every one of us have sins in our life. 20:13 That's why we need a savior. That's right. 20:15 Nobody's pretending to be perfect. 20:17 Nobody's saying that we have all the answers. 20:19 God uses people in spite of us. 20:22 You see, look through the Bible. 20:24 What better encouragement folks could any of us have 20:27 than to look at people like Moses, 20:28 he had no business leading people. 20:30 Come on and kill the guy. You know what I'm saying? 20:33 Then basically run from God for 40 years. 20:34 Look at David. 20:36 I mean, look at all that he did, 20:37 you know, having somebody killed 20:39 and all the wives of all these people, 20:40 look at these men throughout the Bible. 20:43 God used him in spite of them, 20:45 you see, and so it's not condoning sin. 20:48 Nobody's doing that but David, after he was converted, 20:51 became a man after God's own heart. 20:53 So we have to concentrate on every day coming to Jesus 20:57 and asking God give us the heart of David, 20:59 give us the heart of God. 21:01 And God will bless us in spite of us. 21:03 And so Satan is angry 21:05 because 3ABN is the only network on earth 21:08 that 24 hours a day is committed 21:10 to giving the three angels' messages 21:12 and has been for over 20 some years. 21:15 There may be new networks coming on 21:16 and maybe some tomorrow 21:18 and maybe some that already are, 21:19 but at least for 20 some years, we've been doing this 21:22 with God's blessings and Satan hates us 21:24 because we're in so many homes. 21:27 He wouldn't mind if we weren't reaching cable. 21:29 We're on cable now. 21:31 Let's talk about 3ABN Radio. 21:32 We're on 3ABN Radio, 21:34 and we want to welcome our listeners tonight 21:36 on 3ABN Radio around the world. 21:38 We have something like 80 stations now 21:40 and our affiliates are downlink stations. 21:43 I'm told where the second largest owner 21:44 TV stations in America, 21:46 UHF TV stations in America, 21:47 we need to be number one, shame on us, right? 21:49 But we're getting up there, right? 21:51 And so all of these avenues, Satan is angry 21:54 because now through internet, through satellite, 21:57 through cable, through radio, 22:00 through all of these media roads, 22:03 3ABN's potential audiences, 22:05 millions and millions and millions of people. 22:08 So we have said as a board, you know what? 22:11 We know, we're gonna be attacked. 22:14 But you know what? 22:16 Bible says all who live godly shall suffer persecution. 22:19 So what do we do when we're attacked? 22:20 We can give up, we can go backwards, 22:23 or we can just keep going forward. 22:24 So as a board, we unanimously vote, 22:27 let's just keep going forward, 22:28 let the chips fall where they may, 22:30 if God is in charge we'll come out of this. 22:32 If He's not, we won't. 22:34 And if He's not in charge, 22:35 we don't need to come out of this. 22:36 It doesn't make any difference though. 22:38 No, it doesn't make any difference. 22:39 We need to go, you know, 22:40 we need to shut the whole thing down 22:42 and go on. 22:43 But I happen to believe and I'm willing to bet my life. 22:45 I can say that, willing to bet my life 22:47 that this is God's network, 22:48 and God's network will go forward. 22:50 That's right. Right? 22:51 That's right. All right. 22:53 I don't know where that came from, 22:54 but it did. 22:55 All right, God bless. 3ABN in Australia. 38:46 Tell us where you're from. 38:48 Where do you live right now? 38:49 We live right now in a place called Donnybrook, 38:52 in Western Australia, 38:53 which is on the west coast of Australia. 38:55 It's a big country we found out, 38:57 we went over there and they had us flying, 38:59 I guess every day didn't we, somewhere 39:01 to different parts of the country 39:03 going to different churches but I found out 39:04 something about Australia. 39:06 There are many laymen in Australia, 39:08 many church members 39:10 who love 3ABN and the messages that they're getting. 39:12 And they continually tell us 39:15 so and they're supporting financially 39:16 with our transponder bill there 39:19 that I think that somewhere around $20,000 a month 39:22 is being paid for by Australian money, right? 39:25 And New Zealand. 39:27 And New Zealand money, Australia and New Zealand 39:29 and they're not behind on their transponders. 39:32 They're always on time. 39:33 In fact, they pay ahead. 39:34 Ain't that wonderful? 39:36 And so the folks are giving so much 39:38 and many of the Australians and New Zealanders 39:42 that they want the three angels' messages 39:44 to get out to the world. 39:45 And so they're embracing the message 39:47 that they're hearing coming from 3ABN speakers. 39:50 And so John and Rosemary, like some of us here 39:54 you guys aren't without opposition. 39:56 Satan hates, you know, progress 39:59 and he hates when you're going forward, 40:00 but you all have done an incredible job, 40:01 you started just as volunteers, 40:03 just dedicated to helping promote 3ABN, 40:07 but suddenly became more than full time job 40:09 and we're even looking at, maybe building studios 40:11 and you're already have a couple cameras 40:13 and doing some taping. 40:14 But what I'd like for you to do is just talk to the folks 40:16 for a little bit and update us 40:18 on what's happening in 3ABN Australia. 40:20 Thanks, Danny. little bit a report of what's happening, 41:06 has been growing now for five years. 41:09 We started with a committee five years ago. 41:12 If we can have the slide 41:15 that was our group that started. 41:17 You heard Danny speaking about the board here, 41:20 how they have been long serving on the committee 41:22 on the board. 41:23 Well, our committee started five years ago. 41:25 And these are the pioneers 41:26 and most of them bar one is still on the committee. 41:30 Five years later, 41:31 we've been looking at different plans 41:33 and projects for 3ABN. 41:35 We've made a decision because of the rate of growth. 41:37 And this is exciting. 41:39 It's not so good for us because we have to move 41:41 from the east coast, sorry, 41:42 from the west coast of Australia, 41:44 to the east coast of Australia. 41:46 But the Lord is good. 41:47 And we're just praying that the Lord will lead us 41:49 to the right place. 41:50 We have intentions of starting a studio there 41:55 where we can help complement what 3ABN does here in America. 41:59 We have some very good speakers. 42:01 We know that we're expanding all the time here in America 42:04 with the children's program and other programs. 42:07 We want to be able to contribute to that. 42:09 And I think if we keep focused 42:12 on what God has called us to do, 42:13 He will provide the means and the place to go. 42:18 We have also another graphic and this one is one 42:21 that Danny is not here to say 42:23 but this was one of the photos taken 42:25 while we were in New Zealand. 42:27 When we had Tommy, and Danny, 42:30 and Brandy, and C.A, 42:31 and Irma Murray come out with us last October. 42:35 When we do these trips, we do them lightning fast, 42:38 we have a meeting in the night. 42:40 Then the next morning, 42:42 we're on a plane, that afternoon, 42:44 we're at a hotel to get ready 42:46 to go to the meeting that night, 42:47 the next morning, we're on a plane, etc, etc. 42:50 So there's no time to have much fun 42:52 except we did get to see some kangaroos this time. 42:55 The first time we had Danny there, 42:56 he told us that kangaroos don't exist. 42:58 It's only a ploy of the Australian government 43:01 to get tourists there. 43:03 And he doesn't believe it 43:04 because he couldn't find any in the bush 43:06 as we drove along. 43:08 And John said to him, 43:09 "Well, I'll take some photos for you 43:11 and send them to you." 43:13 He said, "Don't bother, 43:14 I know what they can do in a studio." 43:16 So we didn't send the photos. 43:18 But we did find the kangaroos this last trip. 43:19 So they are all very happy about it. 43:22 In Australia, it's just such a large area 43:26 and New Zealand as well. 43:27 That we have to try 43:29 and spend as much time as we can 43:30 during the traveling for 3ABN 43:32 as well as try and do the administration 43:36 and office work. 43:37 That work is growing. 43:40 And that's one reason why we're looking at 43:41 having to move and have a headquarters 43:44 and office set up somewhere else 43:46 where we can get volunteer help. 43:48 Because there's just not enough time for us 43:51 to do everything that needs to be done. 43:53 And so we do ask for your prayers 43:56 in what we're needing to do 43:58 and they'll probably be financial help 43:59 that we'll need in that in purchasing a place 44:02 that 3ABN Australia can use as the headquarters. 44:07 One of the things that John and I do 44:10 is like we did earlier this year in Victoria, 44:13 a pastor called us down there, 44:15 his name is Christian and his wife is Erica. 44:18 And he has a vision 44:19 for spreading the satellite ministry 44:22 around in his part of Victoria to the non Adventist homes, 44:26 and we're getting that signal 44:27 into many non Adventist homes now. 44:29 We know that because they contact us 44:31 and tell us of all the channels 3ABN is their favorite. 44:35 It's the one that is peaceful, it is calm, 44:38 it has the peace of God 44:40 when they turn there compared to the other channels. 44:42 And that they know that this is true because 44:45 when they look in their Bibles, it's what is in the Bible, 44:49 not what they have been learning all these years. 44:51 There's one man who wrote to us and he said, 44:54 "After 40 years, 44:55 the fence posts are finally lining up. 44:58 And that's what the truth is. 45:00 When we went to Victoria to help this pastor 45:02 and he had a group of churches who are involved. 45:06 And we did, 45:07 John took the sermon on the two Sabbath 45:09 we were in the area. 45:10 We did training sessions for church members. 45:13 We did evening meetings trying to inspire people 45:16 on how to use the satellite ministry 45:19 as in a local evangelism 45:21 how people can do it personally, 45:23 to get them out of their homes, 45:25 helping people in their community 45:27 to come to know Jesus. 45:28 And we also installed, 45:30 I think in that week and a half, 45:31 14 satellite dishes ourselves and put in, 45:36 well, fixed up about three or four others 45:38 that were not working as well as they should have. 45:41 It was very busy, but a very successful time. 45:44 And something that we enjoy doing, 45:46 we got home tired. 45:48 But it was well worth the time that we spent there, 45:51 that pastor has started an organization 45:54 or a little organization of some kind 45:58 where people can contact them, 46:01 have the satellite system put in by 46:03 a few local church members in particular areas 46:07 where the churches have banded together. 46:09 So if someone rings in one area from one area, 46:12 he says okay, then this person will put it in for you there. 46:15 If they're in another area, 46:17 this person will put it in for you there. 46:18 So it's like a network among these churches. 46:22 And they are sending out flyers to businesses, 46:25 to all the churches, 46:27 doesn't matter what denomination, 46:28 all the Christian schools, 46:30 as well as putting them up in businesses 46:32 in the different areas where these towns are. 46:35 It's a very, very good idea and something we think 46:38 should be growing in many areas around the world 46:40 to get 3ABN into people's homes. 46:42 One of the most exciting things 46:44 is that when we started five years ago, 46:46 there was one satellite dish in Australia. 46:49 And we watched it grow 46:51 in the first year to 400 or 500, 46:52 then we watched it grow to 10-15,000. 46:55 And the latest is we understand from the people 46:59 who uplink on GlobeCast on up to speed three, 47:03 that they believe there's over 150,000. 47:07 Praise God for that. 47:11 That may not seem a large number, 47:14 but when you think of a country 47:15 the size of the US of A with only 20 million people 47:19 if you heard that right 20 million people, 47:21 that's a fantastic achievement. 47:23 In New Zealand, there are about 4.5 million people 47:26 or thereabouts, I'm not quite sure. 47:28 But the number is growing daily. 47:30 We're having a large number of people 47:32 who are retransmitting 3ABN Radio. 47:35 In Papua New Guinea, 47:36 I spoke to someone just recently, 47:38 they were really keen to get hold 47:39 of the Ten Commandments Twice Removed booklets, 47:42 because the people they are really thirsting 47:44 for the Word of God. 47:45 The latest we heard, they want to expand 47:47 on the whole of Papua New Guinea. 47:49 And we're just excited because they want to translate 47:52 into their 319 languages that are spoken there. 47:55 And you know, these people are hungry 47:57 and thirsting for the Word of God. 47:59 And we have an opportunity 48:01 while time still last to do something. 48:03 So we ask you to pray for 3ABN Australia. 48:07 We're wanting to step out in faith 48:09 because that's what it really is 48:11 to expand and fulfill God's commission 48:14 of going into all the world and proclaiming the gospel. 48:17 And I wanna thank publicly the work and all those, 48:20 the workers here in 3ABN and Danny Shelton 48:23 and all the board members for their work. 48:25 And not only them also, 48:27 but those
