00:20 Hi, I am Kelly Mowrer and welcome to "Praise."
00:23 In Psalm 34, David writes, 00:26 "I will bless the Lord at all times. 00:29 His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 00:33 My soul will make its boast in the Lord 00:36 and the humble will hear me and be glad. 00:39 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, 00:41 and let us exalt his name together." 00:44 So many times I'd need to remember 00:46 those words in a very personal way. 00:49 I will bless the Lord at all times. 00:51 I won't let the questions that I don't have answers to 00:55 or the problems that can keep me awake at night. 00:58 I won't let those things keep me 01:00 from blessing the Lord at all times. 01:02 I will bless Him most specially at those times. 01:06 And His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 01:10 To often in my mouth there are words of complaint, 01:15 words of criticism, but I need to ask 01:18 God's forgiveness for that and His help, 01:20 and remembering that His praise 01:23 should continually be in my mouth. 01:26 "My soul will make its boast in the Lord 01:29 and the humble will hear me and be glad." 01:32 We can actually encourage each other 01:35 and uplift each other as we speak about 01:37 the blessings of God to us and give Him the glory. 01:42 And then finally the reason for this program, 01:45 "Oh, magnify the Lord with me, 01:48 and let us exalt his name together." 02:04 My soul thirsts for You 02:10 my heart burns for you 02:15 No earthly love can feel 02:20 this molded inside of me 02:27 I long to know you better 02:33 spend some time together 02:39 You are exactly what I need 02:49 And Lord I've come to worship 02:55 and give You all my praise 03:01 My Blessed Redeemer 03:07 my hands to You I raise 03:13 In You I find, solace, 03:19 a peaceful resting place 03:24 With all that I have, and all that I am 03:30 I give You 03:33 all my praise 03:45 Lord You are my refuge 03:51 a haven I can run to 03:57 You're the only perfect love 04:02 I have ever known 04:08 My eyes desire to see You 04:14 my spirit longs to embrace You 04:19 You are the lover of my soul 04:29 And Lord I've come to worship 04:35 and give You all my praise 04:41 My Blessed Redeemer 04:47 my hands to You I raise 04:52 In You I find, solace 04:58 a peaceful resting place 05:04 With all that I have, and all that I am 05:09 I give You all my praise 05:15 With all that I have, and all that I am 05:21 Lord, I give You 05:24 all my praise 06:05 "Great is Thy faithfulness," 06:10 O God my Father 06:15 There is no shadow 06:20 of turning with Thee 06:25 Thou changest not, 06:28 Thy compassions, they fail not 06:35 As Thou hast been 06:40 Thou forever wilt be 06:46 Great is Thy faithfulness 06:51 great is Thy faithfulness 06:56 Morning by morning 07:00 new mercies I see 07:05 All I have needed 07:10 Thy hand hath provided 07:15 Great is Thy faithfulness 07:21 Lord, unto me 07:37 Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest 07:44 Sun, moon and stars 07:48 in their courses above 07:55 Join with all nature 08:01 in manifold witness 08:07 To Thy great faithfulness, 08:14 mercy and love 08:20 Great is Thy faithfulness, 08:26 great is Thy faithfulness 08:32 Morning by morning 08:36 new mercies I see 08:44 All I have needed 08:50 Thy hand hath provided 08:56 Great is Thy faithfulness 09:07 Great is Thy faithfulness 09:22 Lord, 09:25 unto me 09:58 A lot of times I'm asked, do I have a favorite song? 10:02 And, yes, I do. 10:03 And it's the one that Jennifer just saying for us. 10:06 You know, David writes, "I have been young 10:08 and I am now grown old, and never have I seen 10:11 the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread." 10:15 And that song says it for me, 10:16 "All I have needed Thy hand has provided. 10:20 Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me." 10:24 On August 10, 1886, the Christian periodical 10:28 Review and Herald carry this prayer from Ellen White. 10:33 "Lord, how shall I best serve Thee, 10:37 and glorify Thy name on earth? 10:40 How shall I conduct my life to make 10:42 Thy name a praise in the earth, 10:45 and lead others to love, serve, and honor Thee? 10:50 Let me only desire and choose Thy will. 10:54 Let the words and example of my Redeemer 10:56 be the light and strength of my heart. 11:00 While I follow and trust in Him, 11:02 He will not leave me to perish. 11:05 He shall be my crown of rejoicing." 11:37 [Music] 14:10 Praise is also a powerful weapon 14:12 and our war against Satan. 14:15 Just like the Israelites long go at the command of God. 14:18 Sometimes marched in the battle, singing His praise. 14:21 So we can fight temptation and doubt, 14:25 fear and discouragement by singing in voicing aloud 14:29 the praises of God. 14:30 When things are really bad, 14:32 that's not the time to speak about 14:34 the hopelessness of our circumstances, 14:37 but are the power of our deliver 14:39 sing the mighty power of God. 14:42 Great is the Lord and greater to be praise. 14:57 Walking in the love of Jesus, 15:01 because He gave His life to save us 15:05 Sometimes as rude as hard to travel on 15:13 But His spirit feeds us and reminds us that He needs us 15:21 To tell the world His coming won't be long 15:28 But the armor of God protects me from the evil one 15:36 Dressed in truth with the breastplate of righteousness 15:44 I've got the shield of faith to quench 15:48 The fire of the wicked one, 15:52 making known the mystery of God's promises 16:01 With the helmet of salvation 16:05 and with the prayer of supplication 16:09 I'll stand against the darkness by history 16:17 I'll be telling of damn nation for the wicked in high places 16:24 I owed all the spirit sword for all His sings 16:32 But the armor of God protects me from the evil one 16:40 I'll be dressed in truth 16:42 with the breastplate of righteousness 16:47 I've got the shield if faith to quench 16:52 The fire of the wicked one, 16:56 making known the mystery of God's promises 17:05 And master of home, when everything seems hopeless 17:13 Let me go throughout the land 17:17 and tell of God's greatness 17:25 And the armor of God protects me from the evil one 17:34 I'll be dressed in truth 17:36 with the breastplate of righteousness 17:41 Oh, I've got the shield of faith to quench 17:46 The fire of the wicked one, 17:50 making known the mystery of God's promises 17:59 When I open my mouth, 18:02 let me boldly speak God's promises. 18:39 Carl Gustav Boberg was a Swedish carpenter's son 18:43 who worked briefly as a sailor and served as a lay minister. 18:47 He was the editor of a weekly Christian newspaper 18:50 called, "Witness of the Truth." 18:52 And he served in the Swedish parliament for 20 years. 18:57 In 1885, when he was 26 years old, 19:01 Boberg witnessed to thunderstorm 19:03 that was one of the worst he had ever seen 19:05 and he even wondered if he might not survived it. 19:08 He sat down and he wrote a poem which he entitled, 19:12 "O Store Gud."
