00:20 Hi, I am Kelly Mowrer and welcome to "Praise."
00:23 In Psalm 34, David writes,
00:26 "I will bless the Lord at all times.
00:29 His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
00:33 My soul will make its boast in the Lord
00:36 and the humble will hear me and be glad.
00:39 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
00:41 and let us exalt his name together."
00:44 So many times I'd need to remember
00:46 those words in a very personal way.
00:49 I will bless the Lord at all times.
00:51 I won't let the questions that I don't have answers to
00:55 or the problems that can keep me awake at night.
00:58 I won't let those things keep me
01:00 from blessing the Lord at all times.
01:02 I will bless Him most specially at those times.
01:06 And His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
01:10 To often in my mouth there are words of complaint,
01:15 words of criticism, but I need to ask
01:18 God's forgiveness for that and His help,
01:20 and remembering that His praise
01:23 should continually be in my mouth.
01:26 "My soul will make its boast in the Lord
01:29 and the humble will hear me and be glad."
01:32 We can actually encourage each other
01:35 and uplift each other as we speak about
01:37 the blessings of God to us and give Him the glory.
01:42 And then finally the reason for this program,
01:45 "Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
01:48 and let us exalt his name together."

09:25 unto me
09:58 A lot of times I'm asked, do I have a favorite song?
10:02 And, yes, I do.
10:03 And it's the one that Jennifer just saying for us.
10:06 You know, David writes, "I have been young
10:08 and I am now grown old, and never have I seen
10:11 the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread."
10:15 And that song says it for me,
10:16 "All I have needed Thy hand has provided.
10:20 Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me."
10:24 On August 10, 1886, the Christian periodical
10:28 Review and Herald carry this prayer from Ellen White.
10:33 "Lord, how shall I best serve Thee,
10:37 and glorify Thy name on earth?
10:40 How shall I conduct my life to make
10:42 Thy name a praise in the earth,
10:45 and lead others to love, serve, and honor Thee?
10:50 Let me only desire and choose Thy will.
10:54 Let the words and example of my Redeemer
10:56 be the light and strength of my heart.
11:00 While I follow and trust in Him,
11:02 He will not leave me to perish.
11:05 He shall be my crown of rejoicing."
11:37 [Music]
14:10 Praise is also a powerful weapon
14:12 and our war against Satan.
14:15 Just like the Israelites long go at the command of God.
14:18 Sometimes marched in the battle, singing His praise.
14:21 So we can fight temptation and doubt,
14:25 fear and discouragement by singing in voicing aloud
14:29 the praises of God.
14:30 When things are really bad,
14:32 that's not the time to speak about
14:34 the hopelessness of our circumstances,
14:37 but are the power of our deliver
14:39 sing the mighty power of God.
14:42 Great is the Lord and greater to be praise.
14:57 Walking in the love of Jesus,
15:01 because He gave His life to save us
15:05 Sometimes as rude as hard to travel on
15:13 But His spirit feeds us and reminds us that He needs us
15:21 To tell the world His coming won't be long
15:28 But the armor of God protects me from the evil one
15:36 Dressed in truth with the breastplate of righteousness
15:44 I've got the shield of faith to quench
15:48 The fire of the wicked one,
15:52 making known the mystery of God's promises
16:01 With the helmet of salvation
16:05 and with the prayer of supplication
16:09 I'll stand against the darkness by history
16:17 I'll be telling of damn nation for the wicked in high places
16:24 I owed all the spirit sword for all His sings
16:32 But the armor of God protects me from the evil one
16:40 I'll be dressed in truth
16:42 with the breastplate of righteousness
16:47 I've got the shield if faith to quench
16:52 The fire of the wicked one,
16:56 making known the mystery of God's promises
17:05 And master of home, when everything seems hopeless
17:13 Let me go throughout the land
17:17 and tell of God's greatness
17:25 And the armor of God protects me from the evil one
17:34 I'll be dressed in truth
17:36 with the breastplate of righteousness
17:41 Oh, I've got the shield of faith to quench
17:46 The fire of the wicked one,
17:50 making known the mystery of God's promises
17:59 When I open my mouth,
18:02 let me boldly speak God's promises.
18:39 Carl Gustav Boberg was a Swedish carpenter's son
18:43 who worked briefly as a sailor and served as a lay minister.
18:47 He was the editor of a weekly Christian newspaper
18:50 called, "Witness of the Truth."

19:03 that was one of the worst he had ever seen
19:05 and he even wondered if he might not survived it.

19:12 "O Store Gud." "O, mighty God."
19:16 He first published "O, mighty God."
19:19 The next year, and the words were said
19:21 to an old Swedish folk tune
19:23 and sung in public for the first time in 1888.

19:52 "And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
19:56 Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in,
20:00 That on the cross my burden gladly bearing,
20:05 He bled and died to take away my sin.
20:09 Then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee,
20:14 How great Thou art, how great Thou art."
20:18 Kind brought to him to England and British missionary
20:21 soon began to spread that song around the world.
20:24 In 2001, "How Great Thou Art"
20:27 was ranked second after "Amazing Grace."
20:30 On a list of the favorite hymns of all time.
20:34 We close our program about praise with Kateena LeForge
20:37 singing a medley, ending with "How Great Thou Art."
20:58 I love the Lord
21:06 he heard my cry
21:15 And pitied every groan
21:28 Long as I live
21:36 and troubles rise
21:45 I'll hasten to
21:57 his throne
22:06 I love the Lord
22:13 he heard my cry
22:21 And pitied every groan
22:32 Long as I live
22:40 and troubles rise
22:48 I'll hasten to
23:00 his throne
23:21 O Lord my God
23:28 when I in awesome wonder
23:36 Consider all, all the works
23:42 thy hand hath made
23:48 I see the stars
23:54 I hear the mighty thunder
24:01 Thy power throughout
24:05 the universe displayed
24:13 Then sings my soul,
24:19 my Savior God, to thee
24:26 How great thou art,
24:32 how great thou art
24:38 Then sings my soul,
24:43 my Savior God, to thee
24:50 How great thou art,
24:56 how great thou art
25:09 And when I think that God
25:17 his Son not sparing
25:21 Sent him to die
25:26 I scarce can take it in
25:33 That on the cross
25:39 my burden gladly bearing
25:45 He bled and died
25:50 to take away my sin
26:05 When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
26:12 And take me home- what joy shall fill my heart
26:20 Then shall I bow
26:26 in humble adoration
26:33 And there proclaim,
26:37 My God, how great thou art
