00:18 Hello and welcome back to praise. I'm Kelly Mowrer.
00:22 of Revelation there is an amazing message for the church 00:25 of Ephesus. First God reveals how faithfully they serve him. 00:30 He says, I know your works, your patience, how much labor you do 00:34 for my name's sake; but I have this against you. You have lost 00:38 your first love. Today we're going to learn from the lesson 00:41 of the church of Ephesus and we're going to spend our time 00:45 together here remembering again our beautiful savior and why we 00:49 love him. David says to sing of his loving kindness in the 00:53 morning and his faithfulness every night. So if you are 00:56 experiencing a bright and peaceful time in your life right 01:00 now, praise him and reflect on his loving-kindness to you. 01:05 But if you are in a situation that seems more bleak and dark 01:09 than the darkest night, don't lose hope. Listen to these 01:12 songs, remember his faithfulness and praise him more and more. 01:18 Angela Bryant Brown Jesus Medley 01:28 Yes Jesus loves me, 01:40 Yes Jesus loves me for 01:54 the Bible tells me so. 02:03 Jesus is the sweetest 02:12 name I know 02:16 and He's just the same 02:19 as His holy name. 02:24 And that's the reason 02:29 why I love him so 02:34 for Jesus, 02:37 He is the sweetest name. 02:44 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. 02:49 There's just something 02:53 about that name. 03:01 Master, Savior, He's Jesus 03:07 like the fragrance 03:12 after the rain. 03:17 Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. 03:26 Let all heaven and earth proclaim. 03:35 Kings and kingdoms will all pass away 03:43 But there's something 03:46 about that name. 04:00 Falling in love with Jesus 04:10 Falling in love with Jesus, 04:17 Falling in love with Jesus 04:23 is the best thing I've 04:28 ever, ever done. 04:35 Oh falling in love with Jesus, 04:43 Oh yes I've fallen in love with Jesus. 04:52 Falling in love with Jesus 04:59 It is the best thing I've ever, ever done. 05:06 Oh yes it is. 05:08 It's the best thing I've 05:11 ever, ever done. 05:16 Oh it is the best thing 05:23 I've ever, I've ever done. 05:44 Joo Young Oh How Great Thou Art 05:59 ¤¤ 09:00 Jim and Pam Rhodes All in the Name of Jesus 09:15 Truth and beauty, happiness 09:24 It's all in the name of Jesus. 09:33 Help and heaven, 09:37 a peace and rest, 09:40 It's all in the name of Jesus. 09:50 Joy and gladness, 09:54 forgiveness too, 09:58 and life everlasting and free 10:03 All that I've longed for 10:11 and all I need; 10:15 It's all in the name of Jesus. 10:24 Care and comfort, healing and grace, 10:31 It's all in the name of Jesus. 10:40 Welcome, a pardon, a hiding place; 10:47 It's all in the name of Jesus. 10:57 Warmth and sunshine, 11:01 friendship too; 11:05 Fulfillment and blessings untold 11:14 Hope for tomorrow 11:18 and help for today. 11:21 It's all in the name of Jesus. 12:05 ¤¤ 12:23 Hope for tomorrow and rest for today. 12:29 It's all in the name of Jesus. 12:39 Jesus, Jesus, he's here and he'll show you the way. 12:56 Jesus, Jesus 13:05 He's all that you need today. 13:24 Kelly Mowrer When I was a kid I remember 13:28 listening to Jimmy Rhodes play and wanted to be able to play 13:31 like him, trying to figure out what he was doing and 13:33 practicing it myself and I've just been so blessed to get to 13:36 know and spend time with Jimmy and Pam and their friendship 13:39 has encouraged me so much and it makes their music even more 13:42 meaningful to me because I know that they sing about someone 13:45 that they know and love very much. There are several 13:48 different stories about the origin of the beautiful hymn 13:52 Fairest Lord Jesus. It is believed to have been sung by 13:55 the 12th century German crusaders as they made their 13:58 long and weary way to the holy land. Another account involves 14:01 the followers of John Huss who were driven out of Bohemia in 14:04 1620 during the antireformation purge. They settled in Cilicia 14:07 which is now part of Poland and they had to keep their faith a 14:11 secret and yet they had a strong tradition of hymn singing. 14:14 The words are found in a manuscript that dates back to 14:17 1662. You know we've been talking and 24:36 thinking during this program about our love for Jesus, our 24:41 first love, being in love with him, whole heartedly devoted 24:44 to him. He told us there are a couple things we'll do when 24:48 we love him. One of those things is we'll do what he says. 24:51 He said, If you love me keep my commandments. Another thing 24:55 we'll do if we really truly love the Lord is we'll share that 24:59 love by how we treat others. We'll show it. He said, By this 25:03 everyone will know that you're my disciples by the love that 25:07 you have for each other. When you're in love with someone 25:10 you can't help but talk about them to others. We want every 25:14 one to know how wonderful they are. Listen now to our last song 25:17 I Love to Tell the Story of unseen things above, 25:22 Of Jesus and his glory, Of Jesus and his love. 25:26 I love to tell that story because I know it's true, 25:30 and it satisfies my longing as nothing else can do. 25:34 I Love to Tell the Story It'll be my theme in glory 25:39 To tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love. 25:43 Reggie Samuel I Love to Tell the Story. 26:16 ¤¤ 26:27 ¤¤ 27:01 ¤¤ 27:10 ¤¤ 27:41 ¤¤ 27:48 ¤¤ |
