00:21 Hello and welcome to Praise I'm Kelly Mowrer and when I was
00:24 looking through the songs and choosing the ones for this 00:27 program I was thinking about how when the Israelites were being 00:30 brought out of Egypt to the promised land. There were two 00:33 bodies of water they came to at two different points in their 00:37 journey. The first time was when they came to the Red Sea and 00:40 there was no way across. But God caused the waters to part 00:44 and dry land appeared and they all saw the path and walked 00:48 across on dry ground. But the second time that they came to 00:51 a body of water it was the Jordan River and this time God 00:54 actually had the priests step into the water. There was no dry 00:58 ground in sight until after they obeyed and took the step. 01:01 They had to walk where they couldn't see and sometimes it's 01:05 that way with us. We have to take a step by faith where it 01:08 seems there's no sure outcome. Sometimes in my life when my 01:13 faith has felt weak, I realize that what I'm thinking to myself 01:16 is if only something would be made perfectly clear to me then 01:19 I would be willing to go out on a limb and take that step. 01:23 But that's not faith. Paul said that faith is the substance of 01:28 things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. 01:31 And if we can walk only where we see, that's not walking by 01:35 faith at all, it's just walking by sight. So today we're going 01:39 to spend some time together thinking about how much more we 01:43 need to trust God in the times of our lives when we can't see 01:47 anything. 01:48 Trust His Heart Margie Salcedo-Rice 01:50 All things work for our good 01:55 Though sometimes we can't see how they could. 02:02 Struggles that break our 02:05 hearts in two, 02:07 Sometimes blind us 02:11 from the truth. 02:14 Our Father knows what's best for us 02:20 His way is not our own. 02:25 So when your pathway grows dim, 02:28 And you just can't see him, 02:33 Remember you're never alone. 02:39 God is too wise to be mistaken. 02:44 God is too good to be unkind. 02:49 So when you don't understand 02:53 When you don't see His plan, 02:57 When you can't trace his hand, 03:01 Trust His heart. 03:06 Trust His heart, Ooooo 03:12 He sees the master plan, 03:18 He holds the future in his hands 03:24 So don't live as those who 03:27 have no hope. 03:29 Other hope is found in Him. 03:35 We see the present clearly, 03:41 He sees the first and the last. 03:46 So like a tapestry 03:49 He's weaving you and me, 03:55 To someday be just like Him. 04:01 God is too wise to be mistaken. 04:06 God is too good to be unkind. 04:10 So when you don't understand, 04:14 When you don't see his plan, 04:18 When you can't trace His hand, 04:21 Trust His heart. 04:26 He alone is faithful and true 04:32 He alone knows what is best for you. 04:39 Oooooo So when you don't understand, 04:45 When you don't see His plan, 04:51 When you can't trace His hand, 04:56 Trust his heart. 05:03 Trust His heart. 05:11 Oooooo 05:21 I've listened to that beautiful song more times than I can count 05:24 and in my heart I do long to trust him and yet failed so many 05:28 times. But I think for so many of us faith isn't always a sense 05:33 of strong assurance. Sometimes it's more like a slow lifetime 05:37 process of just keeping our focus on the ability of God to 05:40 fulfill his word regardless of what we feel or what we see 05:44 around us. I used to think about this Israelites and marvel how 05:48 they could have come safely through the Red Sea, seeing the 05:50 miracle of the dry ground appearing in the middle of the 05:53 water and the way of escape open up to them beyond anything they 05:56 could possibly have imagined and yet even after all that and even 05:59 even after that miracle, just days later, they were worried 06:02 all over again. They were out in the wilderness and fearing that 06:04 God has somehow forgotten them and they're going to die. 06:07 How could they be so foolish? How could they become afraid 06:10 that God who had worked this miracle to deliver them so 06:13 recently was now going to leave them and forsake them? He hadn't 06:17 abandoned them and we find that out as we read on, but you know 06:21 in our own lives I see that I'm that same way. I have so many 06:25 miracles, so many things to be thankful for and yet when things 06:28 don't go the way I was expecting all of a sudden I'm feeling 06:31 anxious again and I'm quick to start worrying as if somehow I 06:34 was going to need to face this alone even though God had 06:37 answered so many prayers in the past and I'm so quick to forget 06:41 His past provision when new problems come up. But if a very 06:44 rich person were to write me a check, I wouldn't worry for a 06:48 moment the check wasn't good because I couldn't personally 06:51 have an amount in my bank account equal to that. I would 06:55 know they had the resources to cover their check and the 06:58 promises of God aren't drawn on my resources or your resources, 07:03 they are a check drawn on His infinite riches and given to us 07:07 freely out of His credit. 07:09 Diane Anders He Hideth My Soul 07:12 A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord 07:19 A wonderful Savior to me. 07:24 He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock 07:35 where rivers of pleasure I see. 07:42 He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock 07:51 that shadows a 07:55 dry, thirsty land. 07:59 He hideth my life in the depths of his love 08:08 And covers me there with his hand, 08:16 And covers me there with his hand. 08:25 ¤ ¤ 08:36 A wonderful Savior 08:41 is Jesus my Lord 08:46 He taketh my burden away. 08:53 He holdeth my up 08:57 and I shall not be moved. 09:02 He giveth me strength as my day 09:07 He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock 09:18 that shadows a dry thirsty land. 09:26 He hideth my life in the depths of his love 09:35 And covers me there with his hand. 09:43 and covers me there with his hand. 09:52 He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock 10:00 and He covers me there with His hand, 10:15 And he covers me there with his hand 10:51 Desperately she pushed her way through the crowd. 11:00 They were crushing her now, they were crying aloud. 11:09 But she didn't care, it was her only hope 11:18 This was an issue of life and she could no longer cope. 11:26 If she'd ever be healed, If she'd ever be whole, 11:36 Then he was the one 11:41 and she knew in her soul 11:45 She had to touch him. 11:49 Oh she said I can touch him and he's here within my reach 12:01 I can touch him. Oh I feel the healing flow 12:10 My faith will make me whole It is Jesus and 12:19 I can touch him. 12:30 There comes a time when you give all you can give. 12:38 You've exhausted your mind, You don't think you can live. 12:46 Tormented by fear you face the unknown 12:55 People are there, yet you feel all alone 13:04 Then you reach out in faith and confess once again 13:12 Jesus is here and there's healing in him. 13:22 You can touch him. You can touch him. 13:32 He is here within your reach. You can touch him. 13:42 Oh just feel the healing flow, Your faith will make you whole. 13:51 It is Jesus and you can touch him 14:02 Oh we can touch him, He is here within our reach 14:11 We can touch him, Oh and feel the healing flow 14:20 My faith will make me whole.
