00:20 Hello and welcome back to Praise I'm Kelly Mowrer.
00:24 I have a dear friend who when he was a little boy used to be 00:28 fascinated with the digital clock display on the microwave 00:32 and he would just sit and look at that and watch it and one 00:37 day the electricity was cut off to the house and his mom was 00:41 working outside. That little boy who was like four years old came 00:44 running out with great excitement, Mommy, Mommy guess 00:46 what time has stopped and Jesus is coming. I know that many of 00:52 us can remember at times when as a child we took a verse from 00:56 the Bible and applied it in a literal way when it was actually 01:00 something that we can only experience by faith at this 01:04 point and the overwhelming excitement and joy of that 01:07 little boy when he was thinking that Jesus was just about to 01:12 appear makes us smile but it's a smile with mixed feelings 01:16 Because we long for that moment when time is going to stop 01:20 forever, but we know it's not here yet. We have to look by 01:24 faith to a heaven that seems sometime so far distant, not 01:28 really impacting what we face right now in our lives every 01:32 day. It's just too far in the future to seem real in the 01:37 present. But today on Praise we're going to ask God to 01:41 enlarge our vision of heaven and to open our heart and increase 01:45 our faith. Steve Darmody begins our time together singing 01:49 How Wonderful Heaven Will Be. 01:58 As I see the marks of sin I feel a sadness 02:06 But there's a thought that always brings a sweet release 02:15 Soon our Savior will be here That day is drawing near 02:25 When tears, trials and heartaches all will cease. 02:35 Oh wonderful heaven will be 02:43 To be with Jesus throughout eternity 02:51 No earthly fame can compare 02:55 To what is waiting for us there 03:06 Oh how wonderful heaven will be. 03:18 ¤ ¤ 03:26 Oh just think of all the countless joys of heaven 03:34 A better land, a better life than we could know 03:43 We will be forever safe Through his forgiving grace 03:52 This gift is ours because he loves us so. 04:00 Oh how wonderful heaven will be 04:10 To be with Jesus throughout eternity 04:17 No earthly thing can compare to what is waiting for us there 04:31 Oh how wonderful heaven will be 04:51 To be with Jesus throughout eternity 05:00 No earthly thing can compare to what is waiting for us there 05:18 Oh how wonderful heaven will be 06:13 He Who Trusts Stephanie Dawn 06:21 These are peril times we live in Trouble everywhere 06:29 Weary hearts will often give in to this world's despair 06:37 But higher over all our Father knows our every care 06:48 So in his book, if you will look you will find his promise there 06:59 He who trusts in the Lord Mercy shall surround him 07:16 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice 07:20 You upright in heart lift up your voice 07:24 for great is his mercy toward all who trust in the Lord. 07:32 Soon will be the time when we will see the Holy One 07:48 and oh how sweet to know that he'll complete what he's begun 07:57 And blessed is the man who stands forgiven in God's Son 08:04 And blessed are they who in that day will hear him say 08:12 Well done. 08:16 He who trusts in the Lord Mercy shall surround him 08:25 He who trusts in the Lord Mercy shall surround him. 08:32 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice You upright in heart 08:39 Lift up your voice for Great is his mercy toward 08:46 all who trust in the Lord. 08:52 Gracious is he and slow to anger His loving kindness has no end 09:09 With a love to ¤ ¤ grateful friend and stranger 09:16 He's reaching out to one and all Who upon his name will call 09:25 For he who trusts in the Lord Mercy shall surround him 09:35 He who trusts in the Lord Mercy shall surround him 09:43 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice You upright in heart 09:49 Lift up your voice for Great is his mercy toward 09:56 All who trust in the Lord Mercy is his reward 10:07 For all who trust, for the pure and just who put their trust 10:13 In the Lord Mercy is his reward 10:23 Great is his mercy toward All who put their trust 10:37 In the Lord 10:53 When Jesus knew that his time on earth with his disciples was 10:59 coming to an end, he encouraged them by describing to them a 11:04 picture of heaven. And when we face the darkness of our own 11:09 days, the words of Jesus can assure us that things aren't 11:13 always going to be the way they are right now. He says to each 11:17 one of us, Let not your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, 11:21 believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many 11:26 mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. I go to 11:31 prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you 11:35 I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am 11:40 there you may be also. So even when we can feel completely 11:44 empty or alone or uncertain, we can still choose to believe that 11:49 what Jesus said is true. Even though we're lonely here, we can 11:53 look by faith to when we will be with him forever. Although 11:58 we cry in our dark nights now one day he will wipe every tear 12:02 from our eyes. The glory of the Lamb will be our light and we 12:07 will walk and talk with him forever. 12:14 I saw the holy city descending from the sky 12:25 So brilliant with the light of God; the city is his bride 12:35 There is no temple in this town, no sun, no moon, no lamp 12:46 For God's own glory is it's light, Illuminated by the Lamb 12:56 And God himself will wipe the tears from every weeping eye 13:09 No death, no pain, no mourning cry and every tear made dry 13:20 And now our God will dwell with them, The new Jerusalem 13:32 And he himself will walk with them, The new Jerusalem 13:43 ¤ ¤ 13:52 And so let all of those who thirst 13:57 Come now and drink for free And to the one who overcomes 14:08 Come now and you will see Behold the old is passed away 14:18 And everything is new The Alpha and Omega's words 14:28 Are trustworthy and so true And God himself will wipe 14:38 the tears from every weeping eye 14:43 No death, no pain, no mourning cry, and every tear made dry 14:55 And now our God will dwell with them, The new Jerusalem 15:07 And he himself will walk with them, The new Jerusalem. 15:18 And now our God will dwell with them, The new Jerusalem. 15:28 And he himself will walk with them, the New Jerusalem 15:38 ¤ ¤ 15:49 The new Jerusalem. 15:55 ¤ ¤ 16:38 Remember me, in a Bible cracked and faded by the years. 16:52 Remember Me, In a sanctuary filled with silent prayers. 17:05 And age to age and heart to heart 17:12 Bound by grace and peace. 17:19 Child of wonder, child of God I've remembered you 17:30 Remember me. 17:38 ¤ ¤ 17:46 Remember me, when the color of the sunset fills the sky. 17:59 Remember me when you pray and tears of joy fall from your eyes 18:12 And age to age and heart to heart 18:17 Bound by grace and peace, Child of wonder, child of God 18:32 I remembered you Remember me. 18:45 ¤ ¤ 18:52 Remember me 18:57 When the children leave their Sabbath School with smiles 19:03 Remember me, when they're old enough to teach 19:12 Old enough to preach, Old enough to leave. 19:20 And age to age and heart to heart 19:26 Bound by grade and peace Child of wonder, child of God 19:39 I remembered you, Remember me 19:59 Remember me Remember me. 20:20 ¤ ¤ 20:34 Far From All Care/ Under His Wings - Rudy Micelli 20:51 Far from all care we hale the Sabbath morning 21:09 O'er waving fields and from the distant sea. 21:24 Swell those are praising Heart the ¤ ¤ resounding 21:41 As all creation turns her heart, her heart to thee 21:57 ¤ ¤ 22:06 Under his wings Under his wings 22:14 Who from his love can sever? 22:23 Under his wings my soul shall abide 22:32 Safely abide forever 22:48 ¤ ¤ 22:59 Under his wing my soul shall abide 23:08 Safely abide forever Oooo Safely abide forever 23:59 Heaven becomes more real in our mind as we experience the real 24:04 sense of God's presence in our life every day, when we really 24:09 do live under his wings, under his care, under his keeping, 24:13 under his provision. And when his word becomes light and life 24:17 to us and his will becomes our deepest source of pleasure. 24:22 When we hear his voice and that becomes our comfort. When the 24:26 apostle John wrote his description of heaven and the 24:28 new earth, he began his list of all its wonders with the most 24:33 glorious thing of all. Heaven will be where God is with us 24:37 in reality. When your experience of his presence that we have now 24:42 by faith becomes real and eternal. Listen to these words 24:47 of John from the last two chapters of Revelation. 24:49 I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem coming down from God 24:54 out of heaven prepared as a bride adorned for her husband 24:57 and I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the 25:01 tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and 25:05 they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and 25:09 be their God. There shall be no more curse, but the throne of 25:13 God and of the Lamb shall be in it and his servants shall serve 25:16 him and they shall see his face and his name shall be in their 25:20 foreheads and there shall be no night there. They need no candle 25:24 neither light of the sun for the Lord God giveth them light 25:28 and they shall reign forever and ever. 25:32 Mas Alla Del Sol Ron Woolsey 25:42 ¤ ¤ |
