Murray. 00:32 And it is my privilege and pleasure 00:33 to welcome you to another in a series of sermons 00:36 by our friend Pastor John Dinzey 00:40 who is the general manager of 3ABN Latino Network, 00:44 and headquarter right here in 00:46 Thompsonville/West Frankfort, Illinois 00:49 with a parent station. 00:50 We're so very, very pleased 00:52 that you were able to join us for this series 00:56 which Pastor Dinzey has entitled 00:58 the Three Angels' Messages. 01:01 His first sermon was 01:02 the First Angel's Message part one. 01:05 He will continue in that same vein 01:07 with the First Angel's Message part two. 01:10 And I imagine if time would allow, 01:13 these Three Angels' Messages could consume days 01:17 if not even weeks of messages 01:19 because they are that power packed. 01:21 They are that important and they're that relevant 01:24 for the Seventh-day Adventist church 01:26 and for the world in these last days. 01:29 And we're so pleased that Johnny has chosen 01:32 to unpackage the Three Angels' Messages for us 01:36 during this five part series we look forward 01:39 to each and every message as I know you will. 01:42 And I know you will be blessed and informed and inspired 01:46 as he digs into the mind of the word of God 01:50 and comes forth with nuggets of gold for our thirsty souls. 01:55 We're gonna pray, 01:57 and then we're gonna ask our friend John Dinzey, 02:00 the general manager of 3ABN Latino Network 02:02 which I can say is growing by leaps and bounds 02:07 under his leadership 02:08 and under the leadership of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 02:13 We're gonna have a fine time together. 02:14 Shall we pray? 02:16 Father God, how we praise you 02:18 and thank you for the power of your word, 02:21 we thank you for this series 02:23 that focuses on these three important messages 02:28 that come from three successive angels, 02:32 one building upon the other 02:34 giving us a picture of God's will 02:37 for his people in these last days. 02:40 These messages serve as a GPS system 02:45 as it were for God's children as we make our way home. 02:50 And so give John Dinzey clarity of mind and speech, 02:56 speak to him and speak through him, 03:00 so that we may hear a word from the Lord. 03:04 And we thank you in advance 03:06 for the moving of your Holy Spirit 03:09 and what you will do to and through the man of God, 03:13 we praise you, we anticipate your power and your presence 03:18 in Jesus name, amen. 03:25 Amen. We thank you, Pastor CA. 03:27 And it's a pleasure to be with you once again 03:30 for the series the Three Angels' Messages. 03:33 This as you heard is part two of the First Angel's Message 03:39 and we are praising the Lord for the opportunity 03:41 to present this message before you. 03:43 I stated in the first message that this is a series 03:47 that could take many, many sermons 03:49 as Pastor CA pointed out. 03:51 And we are endeavoring 03:53 to go through message number two 03:56 in the first angel had... 03:59 Many messages could be preached 04:00 just about the first angel's message. 04:02 But we want to compact these things, 04:04 therefore we ask for the Holy Spirit 04:05 to guide and bless us in our study. 04:09 We are going to do a brief summary 04:11 before we begin our message for this opportunity 04:15 and then we will launch ourselves 04:18 into where we left off from the first part. 04:21 But before we began, I know Pastor CA already prayed 04:25 but I like to go before the Lord once again in prayer. 04:28 I would kneel and I will ask for you to pray for me 04:31 and we pray for everyone else joining us around the world 04:33 so that the Lord will bless everyone 04:35 that is with us. 04:36 So at this time let us go to the Lord in prayer 04:39 and ask him for his blessing. 04:43 Our loving heavenly Father, 04:45 we thank you so much Lord that the scriptures, 04:48 your holy scriptures are able to make us wise unto salvation. 04:52 We therefore come before you Lord with humility 04:55 and we ask that you help us understand the Holy Scriptures. 04:59 We pray for your blessing, 05:01 we pray for your Holy Spirit to be poured out, 05:03 I place myself in your hands 05:05 so that you may use me according to your good pleasure 05:07 and speak to your children. 05:09 It is your time Lord to speak to them 05:11 therefore prepare their hearts and their minds 05:13 for what you're about to share with them. 05:16 Thank you Lord for this opportunity 05:18 to study your holy word 05:20 and we pray for a blessing upon all around the world, 05:22 we ask you for this in Jesus' holy 05:25 and blessed name, amen and amen. 05:29 Well, as we look into God's word, 05:32 we started this series with Revelation 14:6 and 7. 05:37 Again I remind you 05:39 that the Three Angels' Messages are found 05:40 in Revelation 14:6 and onward. 05:45 During our last time together, 05:47 we spoke about Revelation 14, mainly about verse 6, 05:51 but the First Angel's Message is composed of verse 6 and 7 05:56 of Revelation 14. 05:59 During the last time we were together, 06:00 we spoke that this angel has the everlasting gospel 06:05 to preach to them that dwell up on the earth, 06:08 to every nation, kindred, and tongue and people. 06:11 We also showed that this angel represents 06:15 is a symbol of the people, of human beings 06:18 that God has given the privilege to share it 06:22 with their fellow man, the gospel. 06:26 Angels have not been given the task 06:29 to preach the gospel, we have that task. 06:31 We pointed out that Jesus said, 06:33 "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel." 06:38 And this message is supposed to go to all the world. 06:40 We spoke of the importance that it is for the whole world 06:44 and that it's a message 06:46 that has to go to every single country, 06:48 none is to be left out, no language is to be left out, 06:51 it is to go to all the world, then we have tools nowadays. 06:55 We have the printed page, 06:56 they're for many, many years has been used. 07:00 We have a radio, we have television, 07:04 we now have internet to preach the gospel with, 07:07 and of course the most powerful method 07:11 of preaching the gospel is your personal testimony 07:13 you as an individual can preach the gospel, 07:16 and we encourage you to place yourself 07:19 in the hands of the Lord 07:20 asking for the Holy Spirit to use you 07:22 so that others can know 07:24 about the marvelous plan of salvation, 07:27 the everlasting gospel that God has been 07:31 through his infinite love given to this human race, 07:35 the message of hope in Jesus Christ. 07:39 And we also mentioned that we are to fear God 07:44 and give glory to him. 07:45 We're not gonna go 07:47 to every aspect of what we discussed, 07:49 for we are to give God... 07:51 fear God and give glory to him 07:52 and we spoke about what that meant for us. 07:55 So this time we are going to go further in verse 7. 07:59 During the last time we said 08:00 that the angel is speaking with the loud voice. 08:04 And what he has to say 08:06 is part of the everlasting gospel. 08:09 Therefore we should take a close look at the words. 08:12 And again he's speaking in a loud voice 08:14 that means he wants to be heard 08:16 and when you speak in a loud voice, 08:18 you're not whispering, when you're whispering 08:20 you're talking to one or a few people, 08:22 but when you're talking loud, 08:24 you want to be heard by all that are around. 08:26 And this angel is speaking with a loud voice 08:29 because the message has to go to the whole world. 08:32 The messengers are you and me and God is calling upon us 08:37 to bring this task to completion. 08:40 As a matter fact we will quote once again Matthew 24:14. 08:45 Jesus said, "And this gospel of the kingdom 08:48 should be preached in all the world 08:52 for a witness unto all nations, and then the end shall come." 08:56 We mentioned that this first angel's message 08:58 is linked to the second coming of Jesus Christ. 09:02 And therefore we should pay close attention to it 09:07 as we are studying this message. 09:10 Notice once again verse 7. 09:15 "Saying with a loud voice, 09:17 "Fear God and give glory to Him, 09:20 and now the reason is given, 09:21 for the hour of His judgment is come, 09:25 and worship Him that made heaven and earth, 09:27 and the sea and the fountains of waters." 09:31 We are going to look at these words as we continue, 09:34 and the first part of this is that we are going to look at 09:37 worship him that made heaven and earth and the sea 09:42 and the fountains of water. 09:44 And so this first part of verse 7 speaks to us 09:50 that we should worship the creator, 09:53 we should worship the creator, him that had made us. 09:57 As you look at Revelation 14, 10:00 you have to keep in mind Revelation 13. 10:05 In Revelation 13 10:08 an interesting thing takes place 10:11 in which a power commands 10:16 that people worship a beast, 10:19 that receive the wound by a sword. 10:22 Revelation 13, let's look at verse 15 10:26 and he says, "And he had power to give life 10:28 unto the image of the beast, 10:30 that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause 10:34 that as many as would not worship the image of the beast 10:38 should be killed." 10:40 And so therefore as we look also into verse 16, 10:44 "And he causeth all, both small and great, 10:46 rich and poor, free and bond, 10:48 to receive a mark in their right hand, 10:53 or on their forehead." 10:55 And so we see here in Revelation 13 10:58 that there is mandated worship 11:01 that takes place in Revelation 13 11:03 and if you don't worship you will be killed. 11:06 This of course is yet future as we speak right now, 11:09 and we see the difference between Revelation 13 and 14, 11:13 God is answering this what we see in Revelation 13, 11:19 that this beast power is commanding worship 11:22 or you'll be killed. 11:24 In other words they are calling, 11:26 you're gonna be called up to worship an image made to 11:29 and made of the beast. 11:30 We'll talk about that as we carry on 11:32 during this series. 11:34 But we're gonna be commanded to worship a beast 11:36 and if you don't you will be killed. 11:38 God is the only one worthy of worshiping. 11:42 And this beast power is commanding worship 11:45 that alone belongs to God. 11:48 Therefore, when you look at Revelation 14:7, 11:51 and it says to worship Him that made heaven and earth, 11:54 and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 11:56 It is identifying God as our creator. 12:00 Revelation 4:11 let's take a look at that. 12:03 Revelation 4:11 12:06 and the Bible tells us the following. 12:09 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor 12:15 and power for thou hast created all things, 12:19 and for thy pleasure they are and were created." 12:24 Therefore the Bible gives us the reason 12:26 why we should worship God, 12:27 it is because he is our creator, 12:30 and of course God has been good to each and every one of us. 12:35 I like to invite you now to go to Revelation 5. 12:39 We see that it says to worship the Lord, 12:42 we are to worship God, the Creator, 12:44 God the Father, the creator. 12:46 But now in Revelation 5:11 and 12 12:50 notice that another person is identified 12:54 as worthy of worship. 12:56 Revelation 5:11 and 12, notice, "And I beheld, 13:01 and I heard the voice of many angels 13:05 round about the throne 13:06 and the beasts or the living creatures 13:08 and the elders: and the number of them 13:10 was ten thousand times ten thousand..." 13:14 And how much is ten thousand times ten thousand? 13:18 Well, you very well know that's a hundred million. 13:21 A hundred million angels and then it says 13:23 thousands of thousands, 13:26 an unnumbered amount of angels are there present 13:30 and they... 13:32 Notice the words of verse 12, saying with a loud voice, 13:35 "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, 13:39 and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, 13:42 and glory, and blessing." 13:46 So, brothers and sisters, dear friends, 13:48 we have here in this scripture another message 13:52 that we are to worship the Lamb. 13:55 Now who is this Lamb? 13:56 Of course, you remember the words of John the Baptist, 13:59 he said, "Behold the Lamb of God 14:03 that taketh away the sin of the world," 14:05 pointing to Jesus Christ, the Lamb, 14:07 he is worthy to be worshiped. 14:10 Worthy to be worshiped is Jesus Christ, the Son. 14:14 So the Father is to be worshipped, 14:15 the Son is to be worshipped. 14:17 And now I would like to point you to a text, 14:20 some people have issues with this, 14:23 but Bible clearly identifies the Holy Spirit as God also 14:27 because that is the Godhead composed of Father, 14:30 Son and Holy Spirit. 14:33 In Job 33:4, 14:36 Job 33:4 we have an interesting text 14:41 that talks to us about the Spirit of God, 14:44 the Holy Spirit. 14:45 we have the following words. 14:48 "The Spirit of God hath made me, 14:53 and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life." 14:58 And so we have here a scripture that very clearly tells us 15:03 that the Spirit of God hath made me. 15:07 And when you consider this text, 15:10 you will remember that in Genesis 1 15:14 it says that the Holy Spirit was there, 15:18 it says the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 15:23 So the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit 15:26 were involved in the creation process. 15:31 And here in Job 33:4 we see that it says 15:37 that the Holy Spirit 15:41 participated in creating us. 15:44 Therefore we would say to you, 15:46 the Bible makes it a point 15:49 that we should worship also the Holy Spirit, 15:52 because he also was involved in the creation process. 15:57 So let's go back to Revelation 14:7. 16:02 We remember the words that we've already read. 16:05 "Fear God, and give glory to him 16:06 for the hour of his judgment is come 16:09 and worship him that made heaven, 16:11 and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." 16:14 This of course points us to our creator 16:17 as we have stated. 16:18 Now if you look at the words worship him that made heaven, 16:23 and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 16:26 These words are very closely related 16:29 to one of the Ten Commandments. 16:32 And at this point I like to invite you to join me 16:35 to read Exodus 20:8-11. 16:39 Exodus 20:8-11, thus it is written, 16:44 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 16:48 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work, 16:53 But the seventh day 16:54 is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, 16:56 in it thou shalt not do any work, 16:59 thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, 17:02 thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, 17:05 nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger 17:07 that is within thy gates." 17:09 Why? 17:10 What is the reason 17:12 that we should remember the Sabbath day 17:14 to keep it holy? 17:15 Verse tells us. 17:16 For, in other words because in six days 17:19 the Lord made heaven, and earth, and the sea, 17:23 and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day 17:26 wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, 17:28 and hallowed it." 17:30 So we can safely say that when it is identifying 17:33 God as our creator, 17:35 we should also look at Exodus 20:8-11 17:40 to consider the fact that he has told us 17:44 to remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. 17:48 Now for the most past, 17:50 the majority of the religious Christian world 17:52 has left this commandment aside 17:56 and they are not remembering the Sabbath day 17:58 to keep it holy. 17:59 And you're being called upon as you hear these words 18:02 to remember the Sabbath day. 18:05 The Bible identifies that as the seventh day of the week 18:08 which is Saturday, 18:10 and it is not very difficult to determine 18:14 which is the seventh day of the week. 18:16 You can look 18:17 by just a small amount of time dedicated to this, 18:20 you all know which one is the seventh day of the week. 18:23 So we are called upon to remember the Sabbath day 18:26 to keep it holy. 18:27 I would like to point out just one scripture 18:33 that will help us to understand that this Sabbath day is a day 18:40 that Jesus had in mind for his followers 18:44 to continue keeping. 18:49 Notice when you turn to Matthew 24, 18:54 in Matthew 24, 18:56 we're going to look at one or two texts here 18:59 that will help us to identify it. 19:01 I did not plan to share this one, 19:04 so I'm trying to find it here in Matthew 24, 19:09 and that is found in... 19:15 Let's see as we look at it. 19:17 Matthew 24, there we go, here it is. 19:23 Here in Matthew 24, 19:27 I can't seem to find it. 19:29 But here in Matthew 24, I will quote it for you 19:31 and you can easily find it as you search for it. 19:36 Matthew 24 it says, 19:38 "Pray that your flight be not in the winter, 19:42 nor on the Sabbath day." 19:45 And so Jesus Christ was talking about a time 19:49 when the Jews had to escape from Jerusalem 19:53 which was destroyed during the year 70 AD. 19:58 During the year 70 AD 20:00 and naturally if Jesus Christ is saying, 20:05 pray that your flight be not in the winter, 20:08 nor on the Sabbath day, 20:11 then he is expecting his followers 20:13 to continue keeping the Sabbath day 20:16 so that we can see as evidence, that this is not something 20:21 that we only keep until Jesus Christ, 20:25 that some people think 20:26 that when Jesus died on the cross, 20:28 you no longer have to keep the Sabbath day. 20:31 But the Bible tells us in many places 20:34 that the Sabbath day still remains 20:36 and we should remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. 20:42 So as we also remember there are places in, 20:48 even in Revelation that it says to us 20:51 that we are to keep... 20:53 God expects his children 20:54 to continue keeping the Sabbath day. 20:56 As a matter of fact we are studying 20:57 the Three Angels' Messages 20:59 and even verse 12, where it says, 21:02 "Here is the patience of the saints, 21:03 here are they that keep the commandments of God, 21:06 and have the faith of Jesus." 21:10 So at this point we like to continue speaking 21:15 concerning God as our creator. 21:20 Revelation 14:7, Revelation 14:7. 21:25 In Revelation 14:7, we see the following words, 21:31 it says that we are, "Fear God, and give glory to him, 21:36 for the hour of his judgment is come." 21:39 We reserved this part to talk about 21:42 during the last part of this message 21:43 because it's gonna take considerable more time 21:46 than what we discussed already. 21:50 So, as you look at this message, 21:54 the hour of this judgment is come. 21:56 What does it mean by the hour of his judgment is come? 22:00 Obviously when we think of the judgment it has... 22:03 Most people think of the time 22:05 when God is gonna execute the judgment 22:08 upon those that are upon the earth 22:11 because of their wickedness. 22:13 And at this point 22:16 we want to look at this with more clarity. 22:21 So, first we are going to find out who is the judge. 22:26 In John 5:22, John 5:22 22:31 the Bible tells us that, "For the Father judgeth no man, 22:37 but hath committed all judgment unto the Son." 22:41 The Father judgeth no man, 22:43 but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. 22:46 So who is the judge? Jesus Christ himself. 22:50 As you look into the scriptures, 22:51 you will also know that Jesus Christ 22:53 is the advocate of the righteous, 22:56 and therefore if you want to have Jesus 22:59 as your attorney in the judgment, 23:01 you need top give your heart completely to him. 23:06 At this moment, as we look at another text Psalms 9:8. 23:10 Psalms 9:8, the Bible tells us, "And he, that is God, 23:14 shall judge the world in righteousness, 23:17 he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness." 23:23 And I would like to at this point 23:26 talk a little bit about God as the judge, 23:30 God as the judge. 23:31 You know, on this earth we have courts 23:35 that take place with a judge, sometimes they have a jury 23:39 and the process on this earth 23:40 does not always yield with a righteous judgment. 23:44 Sometimes the innocent are condemned, 23:47 and say they are guilty, 23:50 because attorneys present either false evidence. 23:54 Attorneys present evidence 23:56 that seems to convince the judge 23:58 or the jury that the person they have brought to the court 24:01 and is identified as the guilty person 24:05 is the one that deserves the punishment. 24:08 However, many, many cases of people 24:11 that have been innocent have been revealed. 24:15 I remember watching a documentary on a plane 24:18 at one time and it is talking about a man, 24:21 that was accused or by murder of the son of some, 24:27 somebody in government office 24:30 and the person that actually did the killing 24:35 was a criminal and when the criminal, 24:40 because it was a high profile case 24:42 because it was the son of a some government official. 24:47 There was a lot of media attention involved. 24:51 And because they needed to find somebody to blame, 24:55 they caught the person that actually did the crime 24:58 but this person according to the documentary said, 25:02 I have information for you, I want amnesty, 25:05 I want to be protected 25:07 and if I share information with you 25:08 about other criminals, 25:12 then I want to be kept out of jail. 25:15 I don't want to suffer for this crime. 25:17 And based on his proposed 25:22 that he will be excused, 25:25 they found someone else to blame the crime 25:29 because before the public, 25:31 the public wanted the person to be caught. 25:33 So according to the story some newspaper person 25:37 investigated the story 25:39 and this is why the documentary was being presented. 25:42 The story revealed, the documentary revealed 25:46 that the person they put before the courts 25:49 was sentenced to over 20 years in jail 25:53 and because of some person in the news media 26:00 investigated this 26:01 and eventually found the evidence 26:03 the person claim to be innocent of course for many years 26:07 and they just, he happen to be in the area 26:10 and he was blamed for the crime that he did not commit. 26:13 God will not have any such thing take place. 26:16 Those that are guilty will be guilty, 26:18 and there will be no false evidence presented 26:23 because you'll be judged according to your words, 26:26 and according to your actions 26:27 and even according to your thoughts. 26:29 And God is a fair and just judge. 26:34 And unfortunately upon this earth 26:35 we do not have that, 26:37 but God will be fair with each and every person 26:40 and so God is a fair and just judge. 26:43 I'd like to also point to Psalm 89:14. 26:46 Psalm 89:14, we have the following words. 26:52 Psalm 89:14, "Justice and judgment 26:55 are the habitation of thy throne, 26:57 mercy and truth shall go before thy face." 27:03 Praise the Lord for that. 27:05 And so, brothers and sisters, you can rest assure 27:09 that God will be fair and just with each and every one of us. 27:13 It may not be so upon this earth 27:15 in the courts of this world but in God's court, 27:20 you'll be treated 27:21 and just according to your ways of living, 27:25 according to your words and your actions 27:27 and your thoughts you will be judged. 27:29 The best thing you could do is have Jesus Christ 27:31 as your attorney. 27:32 Accept him as your personal savior 27:35 and then, and then and only then 27:38 can you be assured that you can be forgiven 27:43 and that you will receive the blessing of eternal life 27:47 through Jesus Christ. 27:48 And Jesus Christ and only Him can save you 27:53 and keep you from the condemnation 27:56 that we all deserve, 27:57 because the Bible says, the wages of sin is death. 28:01 The wages of sin is death, 28:03 but the gift of God is eternal life through his Son, 28:06 eternal life through his Son. 28:08 The verse I mention to you earlier 28:10 was Matthew 24:20, where it says that, 28:13 "Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, 28:15 neither on the Sabbath day," 28:19 because Jesus Christ was telling us, 28:21 that he is expecting his followers 28:23 to continue keeping the Sabbath after his death, 28:27 and again the destruction of Jerusalem 28:29 took place in 70 AD. 28:32 So we have in the scriptures 28:33 that God is a fair and just judge. 28:36 I would like to read one more concerning God 28:39 and who the judge is. 28:41 In Exodus 34:7, Exodus 34:7, the Bible tells us, 28:47 "That God keeping mercy for thousands, 28:52 forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin." 28:57 God is willing to do this, 28:58 if we come before him and repent. 29:01 But notice that the last part there it says, 29:03 and that will by no means clear the guilty, 29:08 visiting the iniquity of the fathers 29:10 upon the children, and upon the children's children, 29:12 unto the third and to the fourth generation." 29:15 God will not clear the guilty. 29:17 Now of course each and every one of us is guilty. 29:21 Each and every one of us has committed some sin, 29:25 one or more, therefore we need Jesus Christ. 29:29 Remember that John the Baptist said, 29:33 "Behold the Lamb of God 29:36 that taketh away the sin of the world." 29:38 And if you come before the Lord, 29:41 and you confess your sins before him 29:43 repenting completely, 29:45 responding to the call of the Holy Spirit, 29:48 you can be forgiven. 29:50 And the Bible tells us in 1 John 1, 29:52 that if we confess our sins, He God is faithful and just 29:57 to forgive us for our sins 29:59 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 30:02 In Romans 8:1, it says, "There is therefore now 30:06 no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus." 30:10 So your only safety is to be in Christ Jesus 30:13 and if you're not in Christ Jesus, 30:16 you will be guilty, 30:17 and God will not clear you in the judgment, 30:19 therefore come to the Lord as soon as possible. 30:24 So now we move into the judgment. 30:27 Who will be judged? 30:28 Who will be judged in the judgment? 30:30 Let's look at Ecclesiastes 3:17. 30:34 Ecclesiastes 3:17, "I said in my heart, 30:39 God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, 30:43 for there is a time there for every purpose 30:47 and for every work." 30:48 Every one will be judged. 30:51 The righteous and the wicked will be judged. 30:53 2 Corinthians, we now move to 2 Corinthians 5:10, 30:58 I would just read it from my notes, 31:00 2 Corinthians 5:10, 31:03 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, 31:09 that every one may receive the things done in his body, 31:14 according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 31:20 Therefore no one will escape the judgment. 31:23 Every one will be judged. 31:25 The good and the wicked will be judged, 31:28 and every one will have to go 31:30 before the judgment seat of Christ. 31:35 So, my brothers and sisters, when I said everyone, 31:38 I would like to include as well, Satan and his angel. 31:41 Satan and his angels are also going to be judged. 31:44 Not in this particular judgment that we are talking about, 31:49 they will be judged at the end time. 31:53 Notice what the Bible says concerning them 31:55 because they have already sinned. 31:57 2 Peter 2:4, 2 Peter 2:4, 32:03 "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, 32:07 but cast them down to hell, 32:09 and delivered them into chains of darkness, 32:14 to be reserved unto judgment." 32:18 So 2 Peter 3 tells us very clearly 32:24 that the angels that sinned will be judged. 32:31 They are reserved right now in chains of darkness 32:35 to be reserved unto judgment. 32:37 2 Peter 2:4, of course 2 Peter 2:4 is followed by 5 32:44 and 6 and 7 and we're all gonna pass 32:47 through the judgment seat of Christ. 32:49 I'm not going to be able to read all of these, 32:53 verse 5 I would like to read just verse 5. 32:55 And the Bible says, "And spared not the old world..." 32:59 2 Peter 2:5, "Spared not the old world, 33:02 but saved Noah the eighth person, 33:04 a preacher of righteousness, 33:06 bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly." 33:10 Don't think for a moment 33:11 that you will escape the judgment, 33:13 everyone will be judged and it is the opportunity 33:17 for everyone to be saved, if only you come to Jesus. 33:23 So when we talk about judgment, we have to ask ourselves, 33:27 well, how is that they will be judged? 33:29 What criteria will be used to judge us? 33:33 Is there some way that we'll be judged? 33:36 What is the criteria that we'll be judged? 33:39 I would like to identify what a criteria of judgment is? 33:43 It is found in the Bible and we can go to one place, 33:46 there are many, but James 2:11. 33:50 James 2:11, the Bible verse 11 through 13 33:54 actually it's what I'm going to read. 33:57 Let's begin reading. 33:58 "For he that said, do not commit adultery, 34:02 said also, do not kill. 34:05 Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, 34:09 thou art become a transgressor of the law. 34:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged 34:18 by the law of liberty. 34:20 For he shall have judgment without mercy, 34:23 that he hath shewed no mercy 34:27 and mercy rejoiceth against judgment." 34:31 So, brothers and sisters, friends, 34:33 we see here that we're gonna be judged 34:35 by the law of liberty. 34:37 Obviously when we looked at verse 11, 34:40 it talked about committing adultery 34:43 and of course thou should not kill, 34:46 naming some of the commandments, 34:48 by this we know that we're talking about 34:51 the Ten Commandments, the Ten Commandments 34:54 and this will be the standard of judgment. 34:58 The Ten Commandments are the standard of judgment. 35:02 And so I point to you to the Ten Commandments 35:05 by which you will be judged, 35:08 and I encourage you to look at them and... 35:14 so that you're familiar with them, 35:16 so that you're aware, 35:19 that you're gonna be aware 35:23 by what standard you will be judged. 35:25 You will be judged by the law of liberty. 35:28 James calls it the law of liberty, 35:30 some people look at the Ten Commandments, 35:32 they say, oh, no, but if you look at the law, 35:35 the Ten Commandments, 35:36 the Bible says that they are not burden some may says. 35:40 And that you can see David, the Psalmist saying, 35:44 they are my mediation all day. 35:48 In Psalms it tells us Psalms 19, 35:53 actually I would like to read that, 35:54 I didn't think of reading that for now. 35:56 Psalm 19, I'm going to look it up. 35:59 Psalm 19 talks to us about the law, 36:04 the Ten Commandments and speak to us 36:07 of what category we can place them in. 36:12 In Psalm 19 we're gonna read a couple of verses here. 36:17 Psalm 19:7 and 8, Psalm 19:7 and 8, 36:22 "The law of the Lord is perfect, 36:25 converting the soul, 36:27 the testimony of the Lord is sure, 36:30 making wise the simple. 36:32 The statutes of the Lord are right, 36:36 rejoicing the heart 36:37 the commandment of the Lord is pure, 36:40 enlightening the eyes." 36:43 Well, praise the Lord for that. 36:45 Praise the Lord that they are perfect. 36:47 And we're gonna be judged by the perfect law, 36:49 we're gonna be judged by the law of liberty. 36:54 As we continue reading, 36:55 let's go to verse 9 and 10, notice the words. 36:59 "The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever, 37:01 the judgments of the Lord are true 37:04 and righteous altogether. 37:06 That's how his judgment is. 37:09 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, 37:12 than much fine gold, 37:14 sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." 37:18 And I tell you 37:20 that we are going to live throughout eternity 37:25 because we love God, we should obey his commandment. 37:27 Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." 37:32 And so I point to you as the standard of judgment 37:35 it is the Ten Commandments. 37:38 What will be the results of the judgment? 37:41 What will be result of the judgment? 37:43 In 2 Timothy 4:8, 2 Timothy 4:8, 37:48 "Henceforth there is laid up for me 37:50 a crown of righteousness, 37:53 which the Lord, the righteous judge, 37:56 shall give me at that day, and not to me only, 38:00 but unto all them that love his appearing." 38:04 So it talk to us about a crown of righteousness, 38:09 that is gonna be given to all that love the Lord 38:12 and love his appearing. 38:15 The Bible says eternal life 38:18 is given unto those that obey the Lord. 38:21 And in Daniel 7, it says, 38:24 that the kingdom is given to the saints. 38:28 In Romans 2:13, Romans 2:13 38:34 we have another scripture we need look at 38:35 concerning the results of the judgment. 38:38 "For not the hearers of the law are just before God, 38:42 but the doers of the law shall be justified." 38:47 How is it that you can be justified? 38:49 Give your life to the Lord, Jesus Christ. 38:51 But it says the doers of the law will be justified. 38:54 In other words, those that do not do the law, 38:56 those that disobey the law will not be justified, 39:01 but only those that are the doers of the law. 39:06 When you could look at a judicial process 39:09 upon this world, you can get an idea 39:12 that somewhat of this process is used by God, 39:16 and we have evidence in the scripture for this. 39:19 The judicial process, if somebody commits a crime, 39:23 when it becomes norm and investigation of the crime 39:28 is made to find out evidence as to what occurred. 39:33 When they find who committed the crime, 39:35 the person is accused, 39:37 identified and brought before the court, 39:43 investigation of the evidence is made, 39:46 there is deliberation of the evidence, 39:48 and of course every person has a right to an attorney. 39:51 The liberation of the evidence, there is a defending attorney 39:54 and there is the accusing attorney. 39:56 They deliberate before the judge and the jury, 40:00 and of course the judge and the jury make a decision 40:03 concerning the case and then afterwards 40:06 there's execution of the sentence 40:09 if there is one. 40:10 So therefore when we look at God 40:13 and his process and what he does, 40:16 we have to ask ourselves concerning the judgment, 40:22 what happens during God's judgment? 40:25 When we look at Revelation 22:12, 40:28 notice what the Bible tells us. 40:33 "And, behold, I come quickly, Jesus says, 40:37 and my reward is with me, to give every man 40:41 according as his work shall be." 40:44 Notice that this verse says 40:45 that Jesus Christ comes with his reward 40:49 and he's coming quickly and as he is, 40:52 has his reward with him, 40:53 this means that an investigative judgment 40:58 has already taken place. 41:00 Evidence has been researched 41:02 and the investigation of each person. 41:05 In other words, there is an investigated judgment, 41:08 we read in Revelation 14:7, 41:12 the angel announces the hour of his judgment has come. 41:16 In other words, 41:17 a time is specified when the judgment begins 41:22 and I say to you 41:23 that the time of the investigation 41:26 of the cases of those that profess 41:28 to be God's children, 41:30 the followers of Christ began in the year 1844, 41:35 in the year 1844. 41:37 We'll do our best 41:39 to try to outline that as soon as possible. 41:41 Now there are some examples of investigated judgments 41:47 that take place in the Bible. 41:50 Notice how we have an example in the parable of the wedding, 41:57 in the parable of the wedding found in Matthew 22. 42:03 In Matthew 22 we cannot read the whole thing, 42:06 we're gonna read verses 11 through 14 in this parable. 42:09 A king invites guest to a wedding, 42:12 and he tells his servants, invite the guests 42:15 and the guests were invited 42:19 and they kept making excuses I cannot come, 42:21 I have to do this, another one say I cannot come 42:23 because I have to do that, 42:24 and on and on they made different excuses 42:26 not to go to the wedding of the king son. 42:30 So the king then said, 42:31 go out there and find in the highways, 42:34 in the byways invite them to my feast, 42:36 and the king provided a garment for each one 42:39 to come to the feast. 42:41 And notice what happens 42:43 in Matthew 22:11-14. 42:49 "And when the king came in to see the guests, 42:51 he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment, 42:55 and he saith unto him, Friend, 42:57 how camest thou in hither not wearing 43:00 or not having a wedding garment? 43:01 And he was speechless. 43:05 Then the king said to the servants, 43:06 Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, 43:09 and cast him into outer darkness, 43:11 there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43:14 For many are called, but few are chosen" 43:17 is what Jesus tells us. 43:18 Many are called but few are chosen. 43:20 In other words few choose to be apart of God's kingdom. 43:25 And so you see that the king came into inspect the guest. 43:29 There was a pre-investigation, an investigation 43:34 and to who was here 43:36 and if they were ready for the feast 43:38 ready for the wedding feast. 43:40 And unfortunately one individual was found 43:42 that he was not ready, 43:43 he did not have on the wedding garment. 43:46 Notice there that there is another judgment 43:51 that takes place 43:53 or a pre-investigation that takes place. 43:56 There is another parable in Matthew 13, 44:01 the kingdom of heaven is like a net it says, 44:05 that is another place 44:06 that you can find an example of this, 44:08 but I would like to point you to another example 44:10 that takes place in the Book of Genesis 6. 44:13 In Genesis 6 we're gonna read verses 5 through 8. 44:17 Genesis 6:5-8, notice, 44:20 "And God saw that the wickedness of man 44:22 was great in the earth, 44:24 and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart 44:26 was only evil continually. 44:29 And it repented the Lord 44:30 that he had made man on the earth, 44:32 and it grieved him at his heart. 44:34 And the Lord said, I will destroy man 44:36 whom I have created 44:37 from the face of the earth, both man, and beast, 44:40 and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air, 44:43 for it repenteth me that I have made them. 44:46 Notice verse 8, "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." 44:51 Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. 44:54 The Lord came, looked upon the earth 44:56 and saw a wickedness was high spread 44:59 in every imagination of the thoughts of man's heart 45:02 was only evil continually, 45:04 however God did not immediately destroy everyone 45:09 that was upon the earth. 45:11 Noah was given the task of building an arch 45:14 along with his family. 45:15 And he preached for 120 years. 45:20 One hundred and twenty years to calling up, 45:23 upon people to repent 45:25 and to enter the ark to be saved. 45:28 Unfortunately only Noah and his family entered in. 45:33 But again here you see like an investigation 45:36 that takes place. 45:38 A prejudgment investigation before the execute, 45:43 execution of the sentence there was an investigation made 45:47 and people were given the opportunity to repent. 45:51 But we have to look at our text Revelation 14:7. 45:58 We have to before this read Acts 17:31. 46:01 Acts 17:31, the Bible tells us, 46:04 "Because he, that is God hath appointed a day, 46:07 in the which he will judge the world in righteousness 46:11 by that man whom he hath ordained, 46:13 whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, 46:17 in that he hath raised him from the dead." 46:19 Who is that man that will be doing the judging? 46:23 That is Jesus Christ, 46:24 that is whom God raised from the dead 46:26 and therefore this man is Christ Jesus. 46:30 He is the judge. 46:33 When we return to Revelation 14:7, it says, 46:37 "Fear God, and give glory to him, 46:39 for the hour of his judgment is come 46:40 and worship him that made heaven, and earth, 46:42 and the sea, and the fountains of waters." 46:44 You are being told to repent 46:47 and fear God and give glory to him. 46:50 You're being told in this verse 46:51 the hour of his judgment is come, 46:53 it's time to get yourself ready 46:54 for the second coming of Jesus Christ. 46:57 You're being told that you have an opportunity 47:00 to give glory to God, separate yourself 47:02 from the wickedness of the world 47:04 and be a part of God's kingdom. 47:05 There is a judgment that began already in 1844 47:09 an investigation as to who has placed his name 47:14 before God saying I want to be saved. 47:17 And then you are judged according to your works, 47:21 your words, and your action 47:24 according to each and every one of those. 47:26 We do not have time to detail this completely 47:30 but in Revelation 8, I'm sorry Daniel 8:13 and 14. 47:35 Daniel 8:13 and 14, an interesting passage 47:39 that tells us something interesting 47:41 that was to take place. 47:43 Notice, then I heard one saint speaking 47:46 and another saint said on 47:48 to that certain saint would speak, 47:49 how long should be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice 47:52 and a transgression of desolation 47:55 to get both the sanctuary and the host 47:59 to be trodden under foot 48:01 and he said unto me unto 2300 days 48:04 then shall the sanctuary be cleansed, 48:06 unto 2300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. 48:11 This is a prophecy that mentions prophetic time. 48:14 This means that a day equals a year, 48:18 a day equals a year. 48:20 There are several scriptures that help us understand this. 48:23 I'm sure as you watch 3ABN 48:25 you know about these scriptures. 48:29 I would like to point one to you, 48:33 there was a prophecy played out or illustrated with Ezekiel, 48:38 and we're just gonna point one, there are two. 48:42 And in Ezekiel, I'm sorry. 48:45 Yes, Ezekiel 4:6. 48:55 So in Ezekiel 4:6, notice the words, 48:59 "And when thou hast accomplished them, 49:02 lied again on the right side, 49:04 and thou shalt bear the iniquity 49:06 of the house of Judah forty days, 49:08 I have appointed thee each day for a year." 49:12 Each day for a year. 49:14 In other words, when you're talking about prophecy 49:17 and time is mentioned as days or weeks or months 49:23 we have to look at them as an a day equals a year. 49:26 You may remember that during the time 49:28 that Moses sent the spies out into the land. 49:32 They spied the land for 40 days and God said, 49:36 "A day for year shall you suffer 49:40 because of your unbelief." 49:43 So here when we look at Daniel 8:14, 49:47 Daniel 8:14 it says, "Unto 2300 days, 49:51 then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." 49:53 We're given the time of the commencement 49:55 of these 2300 years, 49:58 2300 years, a day equals a year. 50:01 In Daniel 9:24, Daniel 9:24 look at the words, 50:06 "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people 50:09 and upon thy holy city, 50:11 this is a part of the 2300 years, 50:14 that's part of the 2300 years. 50:17 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people 50:19 and upon thy holy city to finish the transgression, 50:22 and to make an end of sins, 50:24 and to make reconciliation for iniquity, 50:27 and to bring in everlasting righteousness, 50:30 and to seal up the vision and prophecy, 50:32 and to anoint the most holy." 50:35 Here the anointing of the most holy 50:37 it takes place at the end of the 490 years, 70 weeks, 50:41 seven times seven is 490, 50:44 this is a part of the 2300 years. 50:49 In Daniel 9:25 50:51 it tells us the beginning point of the 2300 years 50:55 and the beginning point of the 490 days, 50:58 they are the same beginning point. 51:00 Notice verse 25, "Know therefore and understand, 51:03 that from the going forth of the commandment 51:06 to restore and to build Jerusalem 51:08 unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, 51:11 and threescore and two weeks, 51:13 the street shall be built again, 51:15 and the wall, even in troublous times." 51:18 So concerning the 70 weeks, the 490 years 51:22 we're told that from the going forth 51:25 of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem. 51:28 And this commandment to restore, 51:31 rebuild Jerusalem took place in the year 457 BC. 51:36 457 BC the commandment was given to restore 51:40 and to rebuild Jerusalem. 51:42 When you look at that from 457 BC, 51:46 the 490 years determined for the people of Daniel, 51:51 that is the Jews. 51:52 With the end of 490 years you continue counting 51:55 until you're done with a 2300 years, 51:58 and that takes you my friends to the year 1844, 52:03 the year 1844 52:05 we understand according to Daniel 8:14, 52:10 "Unto two thousand and three hundred days, 52:13 then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." 52:14 Why is it talking about a sanctuary? 52:16 A sanctuary, you may remember the sanctuary service 52:20 that is outlined in the Book of Exodus 52:23 and the Book of Leviticus and onward. 52:25 It talks about the sanctuary service. 52:27 That was a years worth of theists 52:33 and one of those was the Day of Atonement, 52:36 the Day of Atonement took place every year. 52:39 A day upon which the people were judged, 52:43 all the sins that were confessed during the year, 52:46 on the Day of Atonement, the sanctuary was cleansed 52:50 from all the sins of the people, 52:52 all the sins that people had confessed. 52:54 All of the sins that they have brought sacrifices for 52:57 pointing to the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. 53:00 Each lamb was a symbol of the sacrifice 53:03 that Jesus Christ would make for us. 53:05 But on the Day of Atonement 53:07 the sanctuary was cleansed of the sin to the people. 53:11 This was a symbol, a shadow of the actual cleansing 53:17 of the heavenly sanctuary. 53:19 Cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary 53:21 from the sins that have been confessed 53:24 from the moment sin entered upon the earth. 53:27 From the moment sin entered upon the earth 53:29 a record has been made in heaven of every sin, 53:33 that Adam committed, every sin Eve had committed, 53:36 and every sin, each individual has committed, 53:38 every sin that you have committed 53:40 every sin that I have committed a record is kept in heaven 53:42 and the sanctuary in heaven has to be cleansed 53:46 from these sins. 53:47 And therefore when we talk about Daniel 8:14, 53:53 "Unto two thousand and three hundred days, 53:54 then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." 53:57 Daniel 8:14, we look at that 54:01 and link that with Revelation 14:7 that says, 54:06 the hour of his judgment has come, 54:09 therefore worship him that made heaven, and earth, 54:11 and the sea, and all that in them is. 54:13 We are being told that that time, 54:16 for that judgment has come, 54:17 the investigation of the records in heaven 54:22 and it begins with the dead, would all the dead 54:27 and eventually it would pass on to all the living. 54:30 And so I say to you that we need to understand 54:34 that we're living in the time of the end. 54:37 In the time of the end, 54:39 when Jesus Christ is our high priest 54:43 in the most holy place in heaven. 54:46 Read in Daniel 9:24, 54:48 that there was to be an anointing of the most holy, 54:51 the anointing of the most holy 54:52 is the anointing of the most holy place in heaven. 54:56 Daniel 9:24, do not become alarmed, 54:59 some people think that this is talking about Jesus Christ 55:02 when he was anointed that is in the following verses 55:04 where it identifies Jesus as the anointer one 55:07 as the Messiah, that means the anointed one. 55:10 Daniel 9:24 is talking about the anointing of the most holy 55:13 as you have seen in other programs here on 3ABN. 55:17 So Jesus began his ministry when he ascended up to heaven 55:21 when after he was crucified and resurrected, 55:25 he ascended up to heaven to began to minister for us 55:28 in the heavenly sanctuary, first in the holy place 55:30 and then in 1844, he crossed the veil 55:34 to go into the most holy place in heaven, 55:37 to begin the process to cleanse the sanctuary 55:41 from the sins that have been committed 55:43 all God's children 55:45 that have been confessing their sins, 55:47 a record is kept in heaven, and this has to be cleansed, 55:50 because when Jesus Christ returns 55:53 he has his reward with him. 55:55 The decisions have already been made. 55:58 A record is kept in heaven and therefore God knows 56:02 who is righteous and who is wicked. 56:05 And when Jesus Christ returns He already has this with him. 56:09 In Hebrews 9, Hebrews 9:23 and 24, 56:15 notice the words, 56:16 "It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things 56:19 in the heavens should be purified with these, 56:22 but the heavenly things themselves 56:23 with better sacrifices than these." 56:25 The better sacrifice 56:27 is the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. 56:28 Notice verse 24, "For Christ is not entered 56:31 into the holy places made with hands, 56:34 which are the figures of the true, 56:35 but into heaven itself, 56:37 now to appear in the presence of God for us", 56:41 in the presence of God for us, by his own blood 56:44 Jesus Christ entered the most holy place in heaven 56:47 and he's ministering as our high priest, 56:50 and I encourage you to do 56:52 as the Jews did on the Day of Atonement. 56:55 It is a time, a very solemn time that we're living in 56:59 and you and I have to get our lives, 57:02 put our lives in the hands of the Lord, 57:04 because God's desire is that you should be saved, 57:08 is that you will be saved, 57:10 but only you can keep yourself out of heaven. 57:14 Your choice and what you decide to do 57:17 is what determines what will take place. 57:20 Do not delay giving yourself to the Lord. 57:22 Do it now and follow him with all of your heart. 57:25 We will see you next time on Pillars of Faith. |
