00:02 our time comes and go so quickly. 00:04 This is one of the interviews that I will amend 00:05 because I don't want Jaime Jorge to leave. 00:07 But since, he does have a life, 00:09 and I don't want Rachelle coming after me, 00:11 I have to let him go today. 00:12 But Jaime, it's been indeed 00:14 pleasure to have you here today. 00:15 Anytime you walk with the doors of 3ABN, 00:17 I haven't had the opportunity of interviewing you before, 00:21 but we've had this camaraderie of music ministry, 00:25 and just doing what God has call us to do, 00:29 as you said, for His glory. 00:32 There is some young violinist, some young musician, 00:35 some young singer watching this program, 00:37 some parent said, "Sit down, this is Jaime Jorge, 00:39 see what he had to say." 00:40 What would you say to that person 00:42 who's at the cockpit of thinking 00:43 about what to do with their future 00:45 when it comes to music. 00:46 Well, nothing takes the place of discipline, 00:49 of hard work, of practice, of study. 00:53 I think we're living in an age now 00:54 where everybody just wants it right now. 00:57 There is no substitute for hard work. 01:00 So put in that time. 01:02 I've practiced thousands and thousands 01:04 and thousand of hours. 01:06 Oh, I imagine that. 01:07 And you have honed your skill speaking in front of people, 01:11 singing to them, you know, it's the same thing. 01:14 So we have to do something, we have to get prepared. 01:18 Number two, if you really do want a ministry in music life, 01:23 number one, know that you need to depend on God. 01:27 And number two, know that you need to depend on God. 01:30 Okay. 01:31 Because there are weeks, 01:33 you know, even today that I don't know 01:35 what it's gonna be like. 01:37 And there are weeks that are disappointing. 01:40 But you know, God will provide, 01:42 if truly He is calling you to do a ministry 01:46 of some sort whether it's music or something else, 01:48 He will open the doors, He will lead. 01:52 But don't sit around and wait. That's right. 01:54 I've known people that have said, 01:55 "I'm waiting for the Lord to give me a sign" 01:58 and they're 60 years old, you know. 02:00 Take the first step and God will then provide the footing 02:04 and open the right door and close the wrong one. 02:05 That's right. 02:07 So, please, search your heart, because this isn't about fame, 02:12 and fortune, and glory, and all of that stuff, 02:14 it's about God and about Jesus Christ. 02:16 Well, thank you, Jamie. That's very well said. 02:18 And, friends, as you know, 02:20 for someone who has done this for 28 years, 02:22 those are not ideal words. 02:23 We pray that as God calls your heart, 02:25 whatever you do, sing, preach, 02:28 whatever instrument it may be, 02:29 make your dedicated decision to be an instrument 02:32 to be used for the glory of God. 02:34 And may the Lord bless you until we see you again. |
