But so today is today. 03:43 And I'm glad that you're here, we're gonna sing about love. 03:45 This is a tune that I remember singing in church, 03:49 it was in the hymnal, 03:50 it's called "Such Love" 03:52 and it's kind of a fun tune. 03:53 I don't know if you've ever heard it before... 03:55 I don't think so. Praise God for His love. 06:53 Praise God for that. 06:55 You know, there's a few verses I want to read 06:58 'cause as you were singing I thought, 07:00 "Oh, this would fit beautifully." 07:02 As you were singing, 07:04 I was thinking this would fit beautifully. 07:06 And it's Ephesians 3, start with verse 14 07:12 and then I'll skip down to 17 and 18. 07:15 "For this cause I bow my knees 07:17 unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 07:20 that he..." 07:21 to 16, "That he would grant you, 07:23 according to the riches of his glory, 07:24 to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. 07:28 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, 07:33 that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 07:36 may be able to comprehend 07:38 with all saints what is the breadth, 07:41 the length, and depth, and height. 07:44 And to know the love of Christ, 07:47 which passeth knowledge, 07:49 that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God." 07:53 How can we know the love of Christ? 07:56 It passes all knowledge. 07:57 It's beyond what we could know. 07:59 Yeah, it is true. It's beautiful. 08:01 That is beautiful. 08:03 I love it when they go measuring, you know... 08:05 Yes. 08:06 That's the really only way we know how to, you know, 08:11 size things up is by measuring 08:13 You know, but we can't even measure 08:15 begin the measure the height, and width and breadth. 08:17 You know what? 08:19 This is totally... 08:20 There's a song and one of these days 08:22 I'm gonna do it, it's called 08:24 "National Geographic Magazine". 08:26 Is that a song? 08:28 It was and so it was talking about this church, 08:32 where there was a man in the church, 08:35 in the audience, in the congregation, 08:37 that he was just always excited about 08:40 the love of God which we should be. 08:42 But he... 08:43 there was a choir coming to the church 08:45 and so the people in the church thought that they put 08:49 brother so and so in the back end office 08:51 to where he wouldn't, you know, 08:53 would not embarrass the church because you know, 08:58 they didn't want him to get out of a hand 08:59 when the choir starts singing 09:00 and then he you know, go to shouting. 09:02 And so he's back in the office and the choir gets to singing, 09:08 and all of a sudden they hear shouting back in the office. 09:12 And they go back to find out that he has found, 09:15 he said he looked for a Bible but he didn't find a Bible. 09:18 And but he said, he found 09:19 an old National Geographic Magazine. 09:23 And he said he got to reading 09:26 about out in the middle of the ocean, 09:29 so many miles seven, eight miles deep 09:32 that they hadn't even begin 09:33 to be able to measure how deep it is. 09:36 Yeah. 09:37 And he knew that his sins had been buried below the ocean. 09:40 Come on. 09:42 And he got excited. 09:43 I just love the fact 09:45 that we can find God anywhere we look, 09:48 you know, if we've got our heart and mind on God, 09:51 we can see that He is immeasurable 09:54 and that just makes me so excited. 09:57 I know, I know. 09:59 And that He casts our sins into the depths of the sea. 10:02 Right. Right. 10:04 I love it. Yeah. 10:05 What a God we serve. That's love for us. 10:07 So why don't we sing about how we love Jesus? 10:09 Okay. That's right. 16:16 As I continue to see where I am at in this. 16:20 There's a great spiritual I guess, 16:25 a wonderful song 16:28 that I'm not hugely familiar with. 16:31 It's one that's in the hymnal, it's been around forever. 16:35 In fact, I think they just call it 16:36 that a traditional melody. 16:40 Nobody even knows who wrote the lyrics. 16:42 Oh, wow. 16:44 I don't, I think that's the truth. 16:45 But I'm going to attempt to play this right here on TV, 16:50 in front of God, and everybody as I say. 16:54 But it's such a beautiful tune and you know it. 16:58 And just so, just because I don't know, 16:59 it doesn't mean that you don't get to sing it. 17:01 But I'm gonna play it on a... 17:03 there's a great little instrument 17:04 that I brought along today. 17:07 My mother would say this sound like a sick cow in a hailstorm. 17:11 But I'm really kind of not setting up the tune very well. 17:17 But it's a beautiful song, 17:18 it's called "What Wondrous Love is This". 17:21 And I'm just gonna play 17:23 and then I want you to sing and just... 17:25 Sure. 17:27 This is really a beautiful tune. 17:28 So here it goes. 17:30 Okay. 18:31 What wondrous love is this 18:37 O my soul, 18:40 O my soul! 18:44 What wondrous love is this, 18:51 O my soul! 18:56 What wondrous love is this 19:02 That caused 19:04 the Lord of bliss 19:09 To bear the dreadful curse 19:15 For my soul, 19:19 for my soul 19:23 To bear the dreadful curse 19:30 For my soul! 19:38 To God and to the Lamb 19:43 I will sing, 19:46 I will sing 19:49 To God and to the Lamb 19:55 I will sing 20:00 To God and to the Lamb 20:06 Who is the great I AM 20:12 While millions join the theme, 20:19 I will sing, 20:22 I will sing 20:26 While millions join the theme, 20:33 I will sing. 21:23 Beautiful. 21:28 There's a great scripture in Colossians 2:6-7. 21:35 "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, 21:39 so walk in him, 21:41 rooted and built up in him, 21:43 and established in the faith, as you have been taught, 21:47 abounding in it with thanksgiving, 21:49 as you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord." 21:52 When we receive a gift 21:56 something you weren't expecting, 21:58 something that you couldn't imagine 22:03 the back to the measurements, 22:06 you know, how valuable, 22:09 how impacting it was going to be. 22:16 Think about that gifts 22:20 and consider Christ 22:22 being that gift. 22:24 And this verse, we talk about... 22:28 so I'm just gonna be really honest 22:30 with the viewers, 22:31 we have truth and honesty 22:32 or whatever, truth and advertising. 22:35 But we're filming this 22:39 on Valentine's Day 22:41 and we often don't like to date our programs, 22:43 but so I thought it would be appropriate 22:46 not because it's Valentine's Day, 22:48 but because everyday is appropriate 22:49 to show our love for God. 22:51 But that's just the idea, the theme that was on my mind. 22:54 And we talk about, when we talk about love, 22:58 one of the things we interesting, 23:00 like especially with each other, 23:01 we talk about falling in love. 23:03 Now I've heard people say that you don't fall in love, 23:07 you fall in a ditch. 23:09 But so falling in love is it's not, 23:13 that's just kind of the phrase that we use. 23:15 Well, if you can fall in love, 23:16 some people say you could fall out of love. 23:19 But the idea of living a life in love with Christ 23:23 is staying in love. 23:26 And that is one of the principles 23:30 to a happy life 23:31 is just maintaining that love 23:34 by reading His word, by praying, 23:36 by singing songs of praise to Him, 23:39 and just by fellowship with one another in church. 23:45 So this verse reminds me, 23:47 as you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, 23:51 so walk in Him, rooted, 23:54 now built deep roots by through the word, 23:57 through prayer, 23:59 through fellowship all those things, 24:00 the disciplines of relationship, you know... 24:05 And that's the key, isn't it, the relationship? 24:08 Right. 24:09 Like we content to get hung up on rules 24:12 and if you don't have relationship 24:14 and you just have rules... 24:16 Right. What is that? 24:17 That's legalism. Yeah. 24:18 But if you have a relationship, 24:20 you want to do what makes your loved one happy. 24:22 Right, exactly. 24:23 That's how it works in our relationship... 24:27 Exactly. 24:28 Is doing things that make you happy. 24:29 Yes. 24:31 And so it's, you specifically 24:34 although your friendship is love like that, 24:36 you know, I know if you're not happy 24:38 nobody's happy. 24:39 No, I'm joking, I'm totally joking. 24:41 You know, truthfully though that's... 24:44 You know, life is what they say life is too short. 24:46 Our earthly life, especially is too short 24:48 to not love each other and to care about 24:52 what the other person is feeling, 24:53 and so it is important to walk in that. 24:56 Yes. 24:59 But when we know that, 25:00 I know that my father's love for me 25:02 is just beyond anything I can grasp. 25:06 It's that gift that He has given me 25:08 that I can't even get my head around, 25:12 why He would send His Son to die for me? 25:15 Why He would love me so? 25:17 And this is a beautiful song it's called 25:19 "How Deep the Father's Love for Us". 25:22 And it's a kind of a newer song but I'm gonna just play it 25:26 because it's such a pretty melody... 25:27 Yeah. 25:29 And, then I'm gonna read the lyrics 25:30 and you will see what great lyrics they are, 25:32 it's kind of a modern hymn. 25:34 Okay. 25:35 And if you want to just listen along 25:37 why this would be a good time to do it. 27:55 This is how deep the Father's love for us 27:59 How vast beyond all measure 28:02 That He should give His only Son 28:04 To make a wretch His treasure 28:08 How great the pain of searing loss 28:12 The Father turns His face away 28:14 As wounds which mar the Chosen One 28:18 Bring many sons to glory. 28:21 It's a very poetic song. Oh, beautiful. 28:23 It's a really great and that the last, I believe... 28:31 Find where I am. 28:40 Why should I gain from His reward? 28:46 I cannot give an answer 28:52 But this I know with all my heart 28:57 His wounds have paid my ransom. 29:04 Why should I gain from His reward? 29:06 That precious gift that He gave me, 29:08 that was a reward for to... 29:10 like a ransom reward exactly. 29:13 And I cannot give an answer as to why I should gain? 29:15 Why I should be? 29:17 Why would He love me so? 29:20 But this I know with all my heart, His wounds, 29:23 what He did on Calvary paid my ransom. 29:26 And so that's a precious, precious song. 29:28 Beautiful. Beautiful. 29:30 There's another precious beautiful song 29:32 that I'd like for you to sing, 29:35 "I Love the Lord". 29:36 Yes. Can you? 29:38 Yes. You're going to do that now. 29:39 Yes, sure. I love it. Sure. 29:41 Let me switch keys here. 29:56 You know what, Tim, before I start... 29:57 Yeah. 29:59 I think I need to let the audience know 30:01 that there have been many times 30:04 that I've cried out to the Lord, 30:06 and I knew that He would hear me 30:12 because I know 30:13 that He has never let me down. 30:16 And I could remember some years ago, 30:19 I was really, 30:20 I was crying out before the Lord 30:22 about one of my children. 30:24 And I said, "Lord, please, 30:26 please don't let him die in his sins. 30:29 Please save him." 30:32 And the Lord, I was crying, I was just booming. 30:35 I mean, I was just, just me and the Lord, 30:39 and I remember Him speaking to me 30:41 so clearly in my spirit, 30:44 and He quoted that verse that is in Isaiah, 30:48 "I will contend with him that contend with thee, 30:50 and I will save thy children." 30:53 And I thought, Lord, thank you. 30:55 I stopped crying because, why am I crying? 30:57 You just told me you're gonna save my children. 31:00 And so many parents are dealing with their children 31:04 being wayward, or a spouse 31:07 that's not walking with the Lord 31:09 or whatever it is, 31:11 you could be dealing with anything, 31:12 financial issues, relationship issues, 31:16 career issues, 31:17 whatever it is God's got you. 31:21 There's a verse I want to share. 31:25 In Psalms here, that it said, 31:31 "The Lord is near to them 31:34 that are of a broken heart, 31:35 and save such as be of a contrite spirit. 31:39 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, 31:42 but the Lord deliver them, 31:44 He delivereth him out of them all." 31:46 Yeah. 31:47 So He hears our cry and when we talk to Him, 31:50 when we cry out to Him, 31:52 we don't have a God that can't hear us, 31:55 we don't have a high priest who cannot be touched, 31:59 but the feeling of our infirmities, 32:01 but one who was tempted in all ways yet without sin. 32:06 So we can come boldly to the throne of grace, 32:10 and we can cry out to Him and say, 32:12 "Lord, please, please hear me and please answer me." 32:17 And I know, 32:19 the Lord has answered my prayer with one 32:21 and He's working on the other one 32:23 and I just claim that, 32:25 and you can claim the promises of the Lord as well. 32:28 So this song has specific, particular meaning to me, 32:32 because He's heard my cry so many times. 32:46 I love 32:49 The Lord 32:55 He heard 32:58 My cry 33:03 And pitied 33:07 Every groan 33:15 Long as I live 33:23 And troubles rise 33:31 I'll hasten 33:34 To I'll hasten 33:39 To His throne 33:55 I love the Lord 34:02 He heard my cry 34:09 And pitied 34:12 Every groan 34:19 Long as I live 34:25 And troubles rise 34:33 I'll hasten to 34:40 To his throne 34:54 I'll hasten to 34:57 His throne 35:06 I'll hasten to 35:11 His throne 35:18 Amen. 35:19 Praise the Lord. Who wrote a great song. 38:30 It kind of goes along with that, 38:32 and this song talks about the idea of falling in love 38:36 but the best way 38:38 is to keep falling in love everyday, 38:41 and falling in love with the Lord through His Word. 38:44 And so this, 38:47 fun song I remember singing this as a kid. 38:52 I keep falling in love with Him 38:55 Over and over and over and over again 39:00 I keep falling in love with Him 39:03 Over and over and over and over again 39:07 He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by 39:12 Oh what a love between my Lord 39:14 And I Just keep falling in love with Him 39:17 Over and over and over and over again 39:24 When I first fell in love with Jesus 39:28 I gave Him all my heart 39:31 And I thought I could not love him more 39:35 Than I did right at the start 39:38 But now I look back over the mountains 39:42 And the valleys where I've been 39:45 And it makes me know 39:47 I love Him so much more 39:50 than I did then 39:51 So I keep falling in love with Him 39:54 Over and over and over and over again 39:59 I keep falling in love with Him 40:02 Over and over and over and over again 40:06 He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by 40:11 Oh what a love between my Lord 40:13 and I Just keep falling in love with Him 40:16 Over and over and, over and over again 40:22 There's a hand that I hold on to... 40:26 Sing, Tim. 40:27 Through each valley and each trial 40:30 There's a shoulder that I lean upon 40:33 As I face another mile 40:37 There's a love that I can depend on 40:40 It's fresh and new each day 40:44 And it makes me know 40:46 I love Him so much more 40:48 Than I did then 40:50 So I keep falling in love with Him 40:53 Over and over and over and over again 40:57 I keep falling in love with Him 41:00 Over and over and over and over again 41:05 He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by 41:09 Oh what a love between my Lord 41:12 and I Just keep falling in love with Him 41:15 Over and over and over and over again. 41:24 And that is truly the key. I love it. 41:38 I heard this song. 41:40 It's kind of a story 41:41 but it keeps you focused and it says, 41:43 though when you wake up, 41:45 imagine that Jesus is sitting at the foot of your bed... 41:47 Right. 41:49 And so of course, you're not gonna just get up 41:51 and not say something, 41:52 He is sitting there at the foot of your bed 41:55 and you just say, "Good morning". 41:56 Yeah, that's perfect. Just connect with Him. 41:58 Yeah. First thing... 42:00 Yeah.
