Wonderful. 07:47 Thank you for spending a few moments with us 07:50 worshiping our Lord and our Savior. 07:53 Holy Spirit is definitely welcome into this place. 07:57 I'm here with my dear friend, John. 07:58 John, I welcome you also. 08:01 John Lomacang is a wonderful friend 08:03 and a wonderful musical friend. 08:05 It's nice to have friends who appreciate music, 08:08 not necessarily my music but appreciate just good music 08:12 and appreciate the Holy Spirit in music. 08:15 You know, there's an anointing that we work 08:18 in when we sing and play these songs that glorify God. 08:23 That's right. 08:24 So, I'm just thrilled for you to be here 08:26 helping me do this. 08:28 This is a first for us. 08:30 We had, always had other people with us... 08:32 Right. 08:33 But the Lord has given this opportunity 08:34 to just praise Him 08:36 and whether they are two or three, you know, 08:37 at least we had the minimum. 08:38 When two or three are gathered that 08:41 He will be in the midst of us to bless us and keep us. 08:42 So we're glad that they've joined us. 08:44 And, yeah, with those who have joined us 08:45 we have a majority for sure 08:48 because two and God and all of you we got to beat. 08:52 So I'm gonna start with a little proclamation 08:55 actually I've already started, haven't I? 08:56 But this is a song that has a wonderful proclamation 09:00 about what we believe. 09:04 We believe in God the Father 09:10 We believe in Christ the Son 09:15 We believe in the Holy Spirit 09:20 We are the Church and we stand as one 09:28 We believe in the Holy Bible 09:33 We believe in the virgin birth 09:38 We believe in the resurrection 09:43 That Christ one day will return to earth 09:49 Holy holy 09:52 Holy is our God 09:59 Worthy worthy 10:02 Worthy is our King 10:08 All glory and honor 10:11 Are His to receive 10:15 To Jesus we sing 10:18 Because we believe 10:25 We believe in the blood of Jesus 10:30 We believe in eternal life 10:35 We believe in His love that frees us 10:41 To become the bride of Christ 10:46 Holy holy 10:49 Holy is our God 10:56 Worthy worthy 10:59 Worthy is our King 11:06 All glory and honor 11:08 Are His to receive 11:12 To Jesus we sing 11:16 Because we believe 11:23 Holy holy 11:26 Holy is our God 11:34 Worthy worthy 11:36 Worthy is our King 11:42 All glory and honor 11:45 Are His to receive 11:49 To Jesus we sing 11:54 Because we believe 11:59 Because we believe 12:08 Do you believe? I believe. 12:10 I believe, amen. 12:11 And all things are possible to those that believe. 12:13 That's right. 12:15 You know, not believes in belief 12:17 but believe in Jesus. 12:18 That's right. Praise the Lord. 12:19 It's wonderful song, Tim. That's a great song. 12:21 I love those affirmation songs knowing what you believe 12:24 is so important, and then what else is important 12:28 but to follow through and trust and obey, right? 12:32 Exactly. That's right. 12:34 You know, this song "Trust and Obey" is a song 12:36 that just has so much foundation to it. 12:39 Because when you begin to believe, 12:40 then you have someone to trust and someone to obey. 12:44 A lot of times we think of something to trust 12:46 and something to obey, 12:48 but it's someone to trust and someone to obey. 12:50 And when you do, you can walk with Him. 12:52 All right. So let's walk with Him. 12:56 We invite you to sing along at home. 13:05 When we walk with the Lord 13:10 In the light of His Word 13:14 What a glory He sheds on our way! 13:22 While we do His good will 13:26 He abides with us still 13:30 And with all 13:32 who will trust and obey 13:39 Trust and obey, 13:43 For there's no other way 13:48 To be happy in Jesus, 13:55 But to trust and obey 14:00 Trust and obey 14:05 Not a burden we bear, 14:10 Not a sorrow we share 14:14 But our toil He doth richly repay 14:22 Not a grief nor a loss, 14:25 Not a frown or a cross 14:30 But is blest 14:31 if we trust and obey 14:39 But we never can prove 14:43 The delights of His love 14:47 Until all on the altar we lay 14:51 Yeah, that's the key. 14:56 For the favor He shows 15:01 For the joy He bestows 15:05 Are for them 15:07 who will trust and obey 15:14 Trust and obey, 15:18 For there's no other way 15:23 To be happy in Jesus, 15:31 But to trust and obey 15:41 Then in fellowship so sweet 15:45 We will sit at His feet 15:49 Or we will walk by His side in the way 15:56 What He says we will do 16:00 Where He sends we will go 16:04 Never fear, 16:06 Only trust and obey 16:14 Trust and obey, 16:18 For there's no other way 16:22 To be happy 16:25 In Jesus, 16:31 But to trust and obey 16:47 Nice. Amen. 16:48 Praise the Lord. 16:50 You know, when we face the uncertainties of life 16:54 which I'm sure there's some of you 16:56 watching and listening to the program 16:57 and even walking with us through the songs 16:59 and may be even singing along with us. 17:02 When we walk through the uncertainties of life, 17:04 it's always good to know 17:06 that the Lord is not far away from us. 17:09 His ears are not deaf that He cannot hear. 17:11 Right. 17:12 His arm is not short that He cannot save. 17:14 And we walk in the footsteps that He sets, you know, 17:18 I've been at places where, 17:19 just recently I was in Northern California, 17:21 my wife and I went back to visit. 17:24 And since we live here in the Midwest, 17:26 pretty much flat, you know, we have mountains 17:28 that go down like caverns, 17:29 we don't have mountains like go up. 17:31 Right. 17:32 But we were back in Northern California, 17:34 up in Hayfork area and I forgot how high the mountains were. 17:38 So we decided to go on a trusted road 17:40 going into Hayfork and a road 17:43 that we had never traveled on the way out. 17:45 And as I got part way on the road I was on the... 17:49 I was the driver, 17:50 my wife is on the mountain side and I said, 17:52 "Honey, this is just too high, let's go ahead and go back." 17:56 And she said, "No, do not turn around 17:58 because if you turn around I'm on the outside," 18:00 and I do not wanna look down. 18:02 Right. 18:03 It was one of those hand gripping, 18:05 palm perspiring moments. 18:06 Oh, that's good. 18:08 And I said, "How high is it going to be?" 18:09 She said, "All I know is if we just keep going forward, 18:12 it's got to go down somewhere." 18:14 And we trusted that comment... 18:17 Right. 18:19 And we said, we saw the miles going, 18:20 seven miles, six miles, five miles, 18:21 four miles to the turn off 18:23 and finally we got to a road with lines 18:25 that didn't have cracks in it, that had guardrails. 18:28 And we just had to like God, 18:29 knowing, not knowing where we're going, 18:31 we just had to trust and obey the road ahead of us. 18:34 And so that's how it is, when you trust and obey 18:37 you could know as this next song says, 18:39 "All the way my Savior leads me". 18:53 All the way my Savior leads me 18:58 What have I to ask beside? 19:05 Can I doubt His tender mercies? 19:10 Who through life has been my guide 19:16 Heavenly peace, divinest comfort 19:22 Here by faith in Him to dwell 19:28 For I know whate'er fall me 19:34 Jesus doeth all things well 19:40 For I know whate'er fall me 19:47 Jesus doeth all things well 20:01 All of the way my Savior leads me 20:06 Cheers each winding path I tread 20:12 Gives me grace for every trial 20:18 Feeds me with the living bread 20:24 And though my weary steps may falter 20:30 And my sou a-thirst may be 20:37 Gushing from the rock before me 20:43 Though a spring of joy I see 20:49 Gushing from the rock before me 20:55 Though a spring of joy I see 21:07 Go ahead and sing this. 21:09 All the way my Savior leads me 21:14 Oh, the fullness of His love 21:19 Perfect rest to me is promised 21:25 In my Father's house above 21:30 When I wake to life immortal 21:36 Wing my flight to realms of day 21:42 This my song through endless ages 21:48 Jesus led me all the way 21:53 This my song 21:56 Through endless ages 22:02 Jesus led me 22:06 All the way 22:27 All the way... 22:29 Amen. My savior leads me. 22:30 Amen. That's great. 22:32 You know, I heard the story that Fanny Crosby wrote 22:36 that song and I remember... 22:39 I think the story went that she was in a need 22:44 for some money before her, 22:46 the publishers I guess were paying, 22:48 were giving her money, you know, 22:50 she was getting money for writing songs. 22:52 But she received a $5 check or $5 bill from someone 22:58 before the check got to her from the publishers 23:02 and she was in need for that... of that. 23:05 And so when she realized that the God had provided that, 23:12 I mean, that's the way she saw it 23:14 as Him having provided and she began to realize... 23:18 She was, since she was blind, she knew all of the people 23:22 that had helped her, you know, when she would go into town 23:25 and help her cross the street. 23:27 And it reminded me of the fact that we have a helping God, 23:33 we often look at things, we will look at things 23:37 and wonder why good things happen to bad people. 23:42 We'll wonder why bad things happen to good people. 23:46 But there's a psalm that I love that says, 23:49 Psalm 124 and it says, "If it had not been the Lord 23:55 who was on our side, when men rose up against us. 23:59 Then they would have quickly swallowed us up alive, 24:01 when their wrath was kindled against us. 24:04 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us 24:06 and swept us away, 24:07 the torrent would have gone over us." 24:10 And then verse 6, "Blessed be the Lord 24:12 who has not given us as prey to their teeth." 24:15 Verse 8 says, "Our help is in the name of the Lord 24:19 who made heaven and earth." 24:20 And I just love that verse that says, 24:23 "If it had not been the Lord who is on our side..." 24:27 We often like I say we think about the... 24:32 when good things happen and bad things happen, 24:35 but we don't think about what didn't happen. 24:37 That's right, that's right. 24:39 And so it's almost like a reverse thanksgiving, 24:42 you know, when I know, when I land on an air strip 24:46 after being in the air for a while 24:48 and the plane lands safely. 24:50 Thank you, "Lord thank you that we didn't crash." 24:52 That's right. 24:54 And you know there's so many scenarios that you can, 24:55 that we often regret may be something, 24:57 "Why did this happen to me? 24:58 Why did this happen?" 25:00 But think about what didn't happen to me. 25:01 That's right. 25:02 And sometimes we don't even think of our blessings. 25:04 If we are on a flight that doesn't have any turbulence 25:06 and it touches down, 25:07 we almost take that whole journey 25:09 for granted sometimes. 25:10 We may say, "Well, you know, that's just how it is. 25:12 This is the good plane and maintenance is kept up, 25:14 the pilot's probably very experienced." 25:16 But we don't know that it's a grace of God 25:18 that's holding that big old aluminum cylinder up 25:20 'cause it's His air. 25:22 All He has to do is turn His air off. 25:23 Right. 25:25 And I read a story, I mean, I actually didn't read a story. 25:26 We were on our way back from Australia 25:28 number of years ago. 25:29 And one of the flight attendance 25:31 just graced us with a horror story. 25:34 He, because, here we were about five hours 25:36 over the Pacific from Australia on our way back to California 25:39 and all of a sudden all the flight attends 25:41 began to run back, to the back of the plane. 25:43 And one of them made the mistake 25:44 of whispering louder than she should have, 25:46 "We smell smoke." 25:48 Well, you have 5 hours back and 12 hours ahead of you 25:52 or ever how long and you know, there's not, 25:54 there's water below you 25:55 and that's not what you wanna hear. 25:57 No. 25:58 And so everybody just, you know, 26:00 sometimes your ears are too good 26:01 and you hear what you shouldn't hear 26:02 and everybody else hears at the same time 26:04 and so we're looking and we're like, 26:05 "Nobody is saying anything, wondering, 26:07 Lord, this is 5 hours back, 12 hours ahead of us, 26:09 what's gonna happen?" 26:10 If there is smoke on this 747, something is gonna happen. 26:15 And then all of a sudden we saw that flight attendants disperse 26:18 and whatever happened we believe God prevented 26:22 what could have happened... 26:23 Right, right. 26:25 But the flight attendant proceeded to tell us 26:26 horror stories, male flight attendant, 26:28 you know when coming from Tokyo back to Australia, 26:30 we hit a dead spot. 26:31 And that's what I meant, the dead spot 26:33 is where there's a hole in the sky, 26:34 where there's no lift. 26:36 And he said we fell 10,000 feet until we grab the air, 26:43 not an air pocket. 26:44 You grab air again and the plane starts 26:46 to lift again and I thought, "Lord, do not allow any..." 26:50 "Fill up all the pockets, Lord." 26:51 Fill up all the pockets. 26:53 We just don't need a 10,000 foot drop 26:54 over the Pacific Ocean. 26:56 But sometimes our lives are like that. 26:57 There are holes coming, we don't know. 26:58 Right. Yeah. 27:00 And God sees it, had it not been for the Lord. 27:01 Absolutely. 27:03 So praise God for the Lord who's always awake. 27:05 Yes, yes. Praise God for that. 27:07 And this is a great song that, 27:09 it's kind of a spiritual that reminds me of, 27:12 if the Lord hadn't been welcome by me. 27:20 You sing it and I'll join on with you. 27:47 If it had not been 27:53 For the Lord on my side 27:59 Tell me 28:01 Where would I be? 28:08 Where would I be? 28:11 Oh, if it had not been 28:18 For the Lord on my side 28:25 Tell me 28:26 Where would I be? 28:33 Where would I be? 28:39 He kept my enemies away 28:44 He let the sun shine 28:47 Through a cloudy day 28:51 He wrapped me in the cradle of His arms 28:57 When he knew I'd been battered and scarred 29:03 If it had not been 29:09 For the Lord on my side 29:15 Tell me 29:17 Where would I be? 29:24 Where would I be? 29:27 Oh, yeah. Now listen. 29:28 He has never ever left me all alone 29:34 He gives me joy and a peace 29:37 Like I've never known 29:41 And He answers when I get down to pray 29:46 And with victory the Lord showed me the way 29:53 If it had not been 29:59 For the Lord on my side 30:05 Tell me 30:07 Where would I be? 30:14 Where would I be? 30:18 Tell me 30:20 Where would I be? 30:28 Where would I be? 30:39 Just think about that, where would we be? 30:42 The other day my wife and I were talking about DNA. 30:47 I don't know how we got into this topic of DNA... 30:48 What's that spell? Deoxyribonucleic substance, 30:53 you know, DNA, it just kind of... 30:54 Oh, right. 30:55 But somebody is talking about, 30:57 "Why don't you believe in evolution?" 30:59 And I said, "Well, one of the reasons 31:01 why evolution is so invalid is because a scientist said, 31:04 a team of scientists agreed that everything 31:07 that was needed for DNA to be formed, 31:09 all the enzymes, all the proteins, 31:11 all the molecules had to be present at the same time 31:14 that couldn't evolve." 31:16 And so I said, "Without all those things 31:19 that were needed at the same time, 31:20 we could never be," 31:22 and the same thing is with the Lord. 31:23 Right, absolutely. 31:25 Without Him we could never be. 31:27 Well, what could we do if the Lord decided, 31:29 "I'm gonna take a vacation today. 31:32 I'm gonna give the devil 24 hours to do 31:33 what he wants and I'll be back, I'm just tired. 31:36 It's been like 12 million years. 31:37 I've been dealing with the worlds before I made yours. 31:40 I just need a break." 31:42 What would happen without Him? 31:44 And so there are those of you that might think sometimes, 31:47 "Has God taken a vacation in my life? 31:49 I've been praying, the ceiling seems like brass, 31:52 the doors seem like they are not opening for me. 31:54 I've been trying and praying, and crying, and wondering, 31:57 'Lord, where are you?"' 31:58 But I want you to be encouraged today. 32:01 There is never a tear you shed that God doesn't see. 32:04 There's never trial you face that God doesn't understand. 32:08 And He promises never to leave you 32:09 and never to forsake you. 32:10 So if God is not answering you yet, 32:13 it's not that He's left you and you are without Him. 32:15 It's that He is waiting for the best opportunity 32:17 and He's building and forming it. 32:20 And one day you'll thank Him that in those silent moments, 32:23 He was still working in your behalf. 32:25 So know that you're not without Him. 32:27 He's with you and with Him everything is possible. 32:30 That's good. 32:47 Without Him 32:50 I could do nothing 32:58 Without Him I'd surely fail 33:07 Without Him 33:10 I would be drifting 33:17 Like a ship without 33:24 A sail 33:27 Tell me, Tim. 33:29 Without Him 33:32 I would be dying 33:40 Without Him 33:43 I'd be enslaved 33:50 Without Him 33:52 My life would be worthless 34:00 But with Jesus 34:04 Thank God 34:07 I'm saved 34:13 Jesus, 34:17 Oh, Jesus 34:22 Do you know Him today 34:27 Please don't turn Him away 34:33 Oh Jesus, 34:38 My Jesus 34:45 Without Him 34:47 How lost I would be 34:52 Let's sing that again. 34:55 Jesus, 35:00 Oh, Jesus 35:05 Do you know Him today 35:10 Please don't turn Him away 35:16 Oh Jesus, 35:21 My Jesus 35:30 Without Him 35:33 How lost I would be 35:41 Yeah. 35:43 Without Him 35:48 How lost 35:52 I would be 36:06 Praise God. Amen. 36:08 Thank you for Jesus. 36:09 You know, in 2005 I was... had a privilege of being... 36:13 I think it was in Texas with Doug Batchelor, 36:15 Pastor Doug Batchelor 36:16 and we were doing an evangelistic series and... 36:21 and the thought came to me about the many lives 36:24 that are passing into eternity every day. 36:28 And then I was driving just the other day 36:29 and I was thinking, "Wow, you know, 36:32 I lost this person, that person," 36:34 I'm looking forward to the reunion 36:35 and then it all came really clear to me 36:37 when we recently did a memorial service 36:40 for a very dear friend of 3ABN. 36:43 And I thought, I'm so glad, Tim, 36:46 that this life is not it. 36:50 Paul says, "If in this life only we had hope in Christ, 36:54 we will be of all men most miserable." 36:56 Most miserable. 36:58 And I thought, "Wow," and somebody said, 37:01 "Well, how long do you wanna live?" 37:02 I said, "Well, you know, even if I live to 100 years, 37:04 it's a vapor in eternity." 37:08 And so I thought as I'm sitting here breathing, 37:11 my heart is ticking, life is happening the way 37:14 that God wants it to happen, 37:15 and even when it doesn't happen the way I wanted to happen, 37:18 there's still a hope, there's still a place 37:19 where one day we're gonna be able to enter. 37:22 And then those loved ones that are now resting in Jesus 37:24 will be reunited. 37:26 And one person suggested we'll be able to say to them, 37:29 you know, while you slept this is what happened. 37:32 And so there may be some of you 37:34 that right now you may have 37:36 just lost someone just recently, 37:38 you might think, 37:39 "What is my life gonna be like without that person? 37:41 How am I gonna go on? 37:43 How is my journey gonna be any different without him?" 37:45 But I wanna encourage you through this old song, 37:47 it's a combination of two songs that I heard and I thought, 37:50 well, I heard Sela do it many years ago?" 37:53 And as we walk through this, 37:55 this journey of the reality of this world. 37:57 There are places we've been, my wife and I traveled 38:00 all over the world, but there's no place we've been 38:02 that we'd rather give up in place of the kingdom. 38:04 So as we walk through this song together, remember, 38:08 if we don't meet this side of heaven, 38:11 we will meet you on that beautiful shore. 38:25 There are places I remember 38:31 All my life 38:35 Though some have changed 38:38 Some forever, not for better 38:44 Some are lost and some remain 38:50 All these places have their moments 38:56 With people and friends 38:59 I still can recall 39:02 Some are dead and some are living 39:08 But in my life 39:11 I loved them all 39:23 But of all these friend and love ones 39:28 There is no one 39:31 Who compares with you 39:35 And these mem'ries lose their meaning 39:40 When I think of love as something new 39:47 Though I know I'll never lose affection 39:53 For people and friends I've known before 39:59 And I know I'll often stop and think about them 40:05 But in my life 40:09 I loved you more 40:20 Soon we'll come 40:24 To the end of life's journey 40:31 And perhaps 40:33 we'll never meet anymore 40:40 'Til we gather 40:44 In heaven's bright city 40:50 Far away on that 40:53 Beautiful shore 41:00 So if we never meet again 41:05 This side of heaven 41:10 As we struggle through this world 41:15 And its strife 41:20 There's another meeting place 41:25 Somewhere in heaven 41:30 By the beautiful river 41:35 Of life 41:39 Where the charming roses 41:43 Bloom forever 41:49 And separation comes 41:54 No more 41:59 So if we never meet again 42:04 This side of heaven 42:10 I will meet you on that 42:14 Beautiful shore 42:36 Thank you, John, for that song. 42:38 I love that, I remember singing that 42:40 when I was young. 42:42 I'm still young but when I was younger. 42:45 And it's a great reminder that we have heaven 42:48 to look forward too, 42:50 spending eternity with our loved ones and our savior. 42:56 This is a song that reminds me 42:59 of the wonderful presence of God in my life 43:05 and knowing that I don't need anything else beside Him. 43:13 He's all I need 43:16 When I just need someone to talk to 43:23 He's always there 43:26 To hear my prayer 43:29 Each time I call Him 43:35 All my needs He will supply 43:41 My thirsty soul He satisfies 43:47 He's the Lord of lords 43:51 And He's all 43:54 I need 44:00 He's all I need, 44:03 I need not turn to any other 44:11 For He's a friend, 44:14 A friend that's closer 44:17 Than a brother 44:23 And on this friend I can rely 44:28 To be my strength 44:31 As time goes by 44:34 He's the Lord of all 44:39 And He's all 44:41 I need 44:47 He comforts me 44:51 When I'm weary, 44:55 Eases every pain 45:01 Fills my deepest longing 45:06 Time and time again 45:11 He's my soul's inspiration, 45:17 My heart's consolation 45:23 He's my everything 45:27 He's all 45:30 I need 45:37 And you know that chorus that goes like that. 45:40 He's all I need 45:47 He's all I need 45:54 Jesus is all 45:59 I need 46:04 He's all I need 46:10 He's all I need 46:17 Jesus is all 46:23 I need 47:48 Can you sing "Were it not for grace"? 47:51 Were it not for grace 47:58 I can tell you where I'd be 48:06 Wandering down some pointless road 48:12 To nowhere 48:15 With my salvation up to me 48:21 And I know how that would go 48:28 The battles I would face 48:36 Forever running 48:39 But losing the race 48:45 Were it not for 48:50 Grace... 49:48 I must tell Jesus 49:54 All of my trials 49:58 I cannot bear 50:02 These burdens alone 50:08 In my distress 50:11 He kindly will help me 50:18 He ever loves 50:21 And cares for His own 50:27 I must tell Jesus! 50:31 I must tell Jesus! 50:36 I cannot bear 50:40 My burdens alone 50:46 I must tell Jesus! 50:50 I must tell Jesus! 50:55 Jesus can help me, 51:01 Jesus alone 51:07 I must tell Jesus 51:12 All of my troubles 51:16 He is a kind, 51:20 Compassionate friend 51:26 If I but ask Him 51:31 He will deliver 51:36 Make of my troubles 51:41 Quickly an end 51:46 I must tell Jesus! 51:50 I must tell Jesus! 51:55 I cannot bear 51:59 My burdens alone 52:05 I must tell Jesus! 52:10 I must tell Jesus! 52:15 Jesus can help me... 52:19 Oh, yeah. 52:21 Jesus alone... 52:23 I wanna sing it one more time. 52:25 I must tell Jesus! 52:30 I must tell Jesus! 52:35 I cannot bear 52:39 My burdens alone 52:45 I must tell Jesus! 52:50 I must tell Jesus! 52:56 Jesus can help me, 53:02 Jesus alone 53:09 Jesus alone 53:15 Amen. |
