00:01 I want to spend my life
00:07 Mending broken people 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Removing pain 00:23 Lord, let my words 00:29 Heal a heart that hurts 00:34 I want to spend my life 00:40 Mending broken people 00:45 I want to spend my life 00:51 Mending broken people 01:05 Hello, and welcome to another 3ABN Today program. 01:08 Do we ever have a treat for you? 01:10 Today I have with my co-host lovely Yvonne, Dr. Yvonne. 01:15 And guess who we have today with us for the whole hour. 01:19 I'm so excited. 01:21 Better introduce if anybody probably everybody 01:23 after watching television knows this folk, 01:25 but in case there's one person 01:27 who does not know this great husband-wife team. 01:31 We better introduce them. 01:33 Okay. So do I have the honor? 01:34 You do it. Oh, yeah. 01:36 Okay. We have Reggie Smith and Ladye Love Smith. 01:41 They're related? 01:43 They are husband and wife team. 01:44 We're actually mentoring to each other too. 01:47 That's wonderful. Yeah. Yeah. 01:49 You know it's great to have you guys here. 01:53 And now I'll say this to the folks 01:55 that watch 3ABN for 30 years 01:57 they know I don't what we call "blow the smoke" 01:59 just say "Thanks." 02:01 But I honestly I was thinking about this 02:03 while ago they were singing. 02:04 They are in my opinion we give God the credit 02:06 so you don't need to say anything. 02:08 But Yvonne and I can talk about it. 02:10 We give God the credit. 02:12 But really you are the most 02:13 dynamic husband and wife musical team 02:16 I've ever seen in my life anywhere. 02:19 You guys, now I know that's embarrassing for you. 02:22 So they can keep the camera over here on us 02:24 if they want to. 02:25 But I'm serious about that, you both, 02:28 these two are individually 02:31 some of the most gifted people literally on the planet. 02:34 I really believe that and I just don't say that. 02:36 The folk know that at home. 02:37 No, wait a minute, you'll are our friends 02:39 so that's why. 02:40 But you know what? We are but we tell the truth. 02:42 And I anticipated they might say it, 02:44 so I went back I just thought of that a few minutes ago. 02:48 And I said but I thought that first time 02:49 I ever heard you sing. 02:51 When I heard you guys singing, didn't know you. 02:53 I said, that is the most incredible duet, 02:55 husband and wife team I've ever seen ministry team. 02:58 So what a privilege for you all 03:00 to be able to travel together with Bret and your family 03:03 and to do what you love to do 03:05 and what God has equipped you to do together 03:08 and do it at such a level. 03:10 Yvonne would know because you come from a musical background, 03:13 it's no small background, small beginnings. 03:16 And you feel the same way I do about this folk. 03:18 Oh, I do. I'm so blessed. 03:20 Every time I hear you guys sing, 03:21 it's such a blessing 03:23 because they don't just perform, they minister. 03:27 And to me that's... 03:28 With the gifts that God has given you, 03:30 you could be out in the world making, 03:32 you know, all these money 03:33 and doing all these other things 03:35 and yet you've chosen to give your gifts to God. 03:38 And to me that's beautiful. 03:40 It's just beautiful. 03:41 So we love you guys. 03:43 Thank you. We love you too. Absolutely. 03:44 What we're going to do, 03:46 we're only going to make this intro really short. 03:48 And we want you all to just sing your hearts out to us, 03:50 minister to us. 03:52 But we're going to talk about some changes 03:54 and one of those being with Gaither Vocal Band. 03:56 We're going to talk about that a little bit 03:58 and talk about those changes. 04:01 And, you know, as a family unit and what you're doing 04:03 but one of the reasons we wanted this folk on today 04:07 is because so many of you have heard about it, 04:09 so we get emails and phone calls 04:12 "Oh, no, we hear Reggie's going with a vocal band, 04:15 does that mean the Smiths won't be with 3ABN anymore? 04:18 They're going be too busy 04:19 for camp meeting and all of that." 04:21 Absolutely not. 04:22 So we wanted the folks to know 04:24 and hear it firsthand from you guys, 04:26 you're not giving up 3ABN... 04:28 Absolutely not. 04:29 Just because they hit the big time, 04:32 they're not, you know, what I'm saying... 04:33 I know, talking about little people now. 04:35 Just because they went up the street... 04:37 Okay, you need to stop that right now. 04:42 That's were my dad's old terms, 04:44 you know, somebody do something and be successful, 04:47 he'd say, "Oh, yeah, they went up the street on us." 04:49 So going up the street. 04:51 But we're so excited about what you're doing. 04:53 But we're so thankful that you all are here today. 04:57 And I think if you... 04:58 Lest you guys have something else, Yvonne. 05:00 We're going just kind of back out of the way, 05:02 let them minister to us and then we'll come back 05:04 and finish out the program. 05:06 And we got to hear the latest from Reggie and Ladye Love. 05:09 You guys ready to minister? We're ready. 05:11 All right. Let's go. 05:12 Let's sing to us. Love you. 05:14 Thank you. 05:33 I search, 05:36 I cry 05:42 I hurt inside 05:49 I feel 05:53 Alone 05:58 So far 06:02 From home 06:07 But when I close my eyes 06:16 And look to you 06:20 I find 06:25 My sanctuary 06:29 My quiet shelter 06:33 My lighted fortress 06:37 From the dark 06:42 My peaceful garden 06:46 My place of refuge 06:51 Is in Your arms 07:06 Sometimes Sometimes 07:10 My path My path 07:15 Can get off track 07:24 And I And I 07:26 I let you down I let you down 07:31 But yet 07:34 I found 07:40 No matter how I stray 07:48 Lord, faithful You remain 07:54 My sanctuary 07:57 My quiet shelter 08:01 My lighted fortress 08:05 From the dark 08:09 My peaceful garden 08:13 My place of refuge 08:18 Is in Your arms 08:25 My sanctuary 08:29 My quiet shelter 08:33 My lighted fortress 08:38 From the dark 09:10 As I look back 09:14 On this road 09:17 That I've traveled 09:21 I've seen so many times 09:25 He's carrying me through 09:33 But if there's one thing 09:35 That I've learned in this life 09:41 It's that my Redeemer 09:46 Is faithful and true 09:53 My Redeemer 09:57 Is faithful and true 10:04 And everything that He has said 10:09 He will do 10:15 And every morning 10:18 His mercies are new 10:26 My Redeemer 10:30 Is faithful and true 10:45 My heart rejoices 10:48 when I read His promise 10:56 There is a place 10:58 That I am preparing for you 11:07 And I know someday 11:10 I'll see my Lord 11:14 Face to face 11:17 'Cause my Redeemer 11:22 Is faithful and true 11:29 My Redeemer 11:32 Is faithful and true 11:40 And everything that He has said 11:46 He will do 11:51 And every morning 11:55 His mercies are new 12:00 They are new 12:07 'Cause my Redeemer 12:12 My Redeemer 12:16 Our Redeemer Our Redeemer 12:21 Is faithful and true 12:32 My Redeemer 12:36 Is faithful and true 13:22 Suspended above the world 13:27 That He made 13:29 And below His home 13:33 In the sky 13:38 God in flesh came down to man 13:45 And man raised Him up to die 13:53 And there on the tree 13:57 The destiny 14:00 Of every fallen man 14:08 Was held by the nails 14:12 Driven through His sinless feet 14:19 And hands 14:24 Somewhere between heaven and earth 14:29 Stood a symbol of grace not based on our worth 14:37 It was there He endured 14:41 What we deserve 14:45 For a cross held the hope of the world 14:51 Somewhere between 14:54 Heaven and earth 15:00 Somewhere between time and space 15:07 Somewhere between judgment and grace 15:14 He became the sin 15:17 He'd never known 15:22 And as the skies turned black 15:26 His Father turned His back 15:29 And for that moment 15:32 He was left alone 15:37 He was left alone 15:42 Somewhere between heaven and earth 15:49 Stood a symbol of grace 15:52 Not based on our worth 15:56 It was there He endured 16:00 What we deserve 16:05 For the cross held the hope of the world 16:11 Somewhere between heaven and earth 16:22 Stood a symbol of grace 16:26 Not based on our worth 16:30 It was there He endured 16:34 What we deserve 16:38 For the cross held the hope of the world 16:44 Yes, the cross held the hope of the world 16:51 Yes, the cross held 16:54 The hope of the world 17:01 Somewhere Somewhere 17:05 Between heaven 17:13 And earth 17:18 Suspended above the world that He made 17:25 And below His home 17:30 In the sky 18:00 Can He? 20:28 It's great to be here. It feels like home. 20:30 It's been a while. 20:31 So we're just so happy to be here. 20:33 And with all the technical guys and gals 20:36 that we love them so much and they work so hard here, 20:39 it's just great. 20:40 And, Ladye Love, I got to tell you, 20:41 this screen back here is amazing. 20:44 It's amazing. I love this new set. 20:46 It's beautiful. 20:47 You know, this next song that we're going to do 20:49 is very special to me 20:50 because I sang this the first time 20:53 in the fifth grade. 20:54 I was so excited, I was in church 20:56 and I found this purple book with sheet music in it. 21:00 And I had this song in it. 21:02 And years later the writers were Bill and Gloria Gaither, 21:06 actually it was Gloria Gaither. 21:08 And I just thought wow. 21:11 Never could I've dreamed that I would meet them one day 21:13 and serve with them one day. 21:16 But, you know, what is even greater, 21:19 a greater thing for me is that I serve our Lord and our Savior 21:23 and that we're allowed to travel 21:26 and sing about His love and His grace and mercy. 21:28 And I know that you have your own ministry 21:31 where you are whatever you're doing 21:33 you can be a ministry to someone. 21:36 And this song is like a theme song for me 21:38 "I will serve Thee". 21:53 I will serve thee 21:59 Because I love thee 22:05 You have given life 22:12 To me 22:16 I was nothing 22:22 Before you found me 22:28 You have given life 22:35 To me 22:41 Heartaches 22:45 Broken pieces 22:52 Ruined lives 22:55 Are why you died on 23:01 Calvary 23:04 Your touch 23:08 Is what I longed for 23:15 You have given life 23:21 To me 23:27 I will serve thee 23:32 Because I love thee 23:40 You have given life 23:46 To me 23:52 I was nothing 23:58 Before you found me 24:05 You have given life 24:13 To me 24:21 Heartaches 24:26 Broken pieces 24:32 Ruined lives 24:36 Are why you died on 24:42 Calvary 24:46 Your touch was what 24:52 I longed for 24:57 You have given life 25:04 To me 25:11 You have 25:13 Given life 25:22 To me 25:48 Hi, Brother Tim, how are you? Hi, gang. 25:49 I'm doing great. How you're all doing? 25:50 Doing great. Oh, you're sounding great. 25:52 Well, thank you, man. 25:54 And I'm excited to be here with you. 25:56 And get to do some live. 25:57 Yeah, right. 25:59 I enjoy playing for people, 26:00 I know, I get to do a little bit of that here, 26:02 but this is a privilege. 26:04 Well, it's great. Thank you. 26:05 You know, let's do that old Dottie Rambo song, 26:08 "He looked beyond my faults and saw my need." 26:10 And starting with E maybe. 26:11 All right. Get do. 26:24 Amazing Grace 26:29 Shall always be 26:33 My song of praise 26:37 For it was grace 26:42 That brought me liberty 26:50 I do not know 26:55 Just why 26:57 He came to love me so 27:04 He looked beyond my fault 27:11 And saw my need 27:17 I shall forever 27:24 Lift my eyes 27:28 To Calvary 27:33 To view the cross 27:39 Where Jesus died for me 27:48 How marvelous 27:55 The grace 27:57 That caught 27:59 My falling soul 28:06 He looked beyond my fault 28:14 And saw my need 28:24 I shall forever 28:32 Lift my eyes to Calvary 28:40 To view the cross 28:46 Where Jesus 28:48 Died for me 28:55 How marvelous 29:01 The grace 29:03 That caught 29:05 My falling soul 29:18 He looked 29:21 Beyond my fault 29:28 And saw 29:31 My need 29:50 Sweet. 29:52 Wow. Tim, you're awesome. 29:53 That's awesome, Brother. I missed you so much. 29:56 What an incredible instrument you... 29:58 That's amazing. 29:59 Miss Dottie knew how to write a beautiful song, didn't she? 30:01 Think about what we just sang about, 30:03 He looked beyond my fault and saw my need. 30:06 Wow. I mean that really, He looked beyond my fault. 30:11 He didn't care. 30:13 He said what you need from me and I'll give it to you. 30:15 And I love that line. 30:16 How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul. 30:20 What a picture. Yeah. 30:23 But she can write in beautiful pictures, 30:24 couldn't she? 30:26 Hey, Tim, I want to do another song with you 30:27 and just stay there... 30:28 Tim, do you mind if I calls you Timmy? 30:30 We've always said that, Timmy, Timmy, Timmy. 30:32 Oh, he calls me... 30:34 We've known you a long time though, right? 30:35 Yeah, that's what friends are for. 30:36 That's right. 30:38 But there's a song we did on the Calvary Project latest 30:41 on 3ABN project. 30:43 And we did a trio on it. 30:45 And there's an old hymn called "At the Cross" 30:48 with a little bit of different treatment, 30:49 so let's try that one. 30:51 It's Okay. All right. Here we go. 31:03 Alas! 31:06 And did 31:08 My Savior bleed 31:14 And did 31:16 My Sov'reign die? 31:24 Would He devote 31:30 That sacred head 31:35 For such a worm 31:40 As I? 31:45 At the cross At the cross 31:50 where I first saw the light 31:56 And the burden of my heart 32:01 Rolled away 32:06 It was there by faith 32:12 I received my sight 32:18 And now I am happy 32:22 All the day! 32:34 Was it for crimes 32:39 That I have done 32:44 He groaned upon 32:49 The tree? 32:55 Amazing pity 33:01 Grace unknown! 33:06 And love 33:08 Beyond degree! 33:16 At the cross At the cross 33:21 Where I first saw the light 33:26 And the burden of my heart 33:32 Rolled away 33:37 It was there by faith 33:42 I received my sight 33:49 And now I am happy 33:53 All the day! 34:14 At the cross At the cross 34:20 Where I first saw the light 34:25 And the burden of my heart 34:30 Rolled away 34:36 It was there by faith 34:41 I received 34:44 My sight 34:50 And now I am happy 34:55 All the day! 35:19 You know, I want to say something 35:21 just really quick about this next song. 35:23 We were talking about the Dottie Rambo's song 35:25 "He look beyond my fault and saw my need". 35:27 And this next song was on the Calvary Project as well 35:30 that you wrote. 35:32 And it kind of says the same thing I'll never know 35:35 why he would do this for me before ever I believe? 35:55 I don't pretend to comprehend 36:01 All the wonders 36:02 And all the mysteries 36:10 Why You gave 36:12 Your life to save 36:16 The one You knew would nail You 36:19 To a tree 36:25 I've often read the words You say 36:31 About forgiveness 36:33 And the failures of the raised 36:40 I understood as best as I could 36:46 But how could I began to fell on grace 36:53 I'll never know what made You leave the throne 37:00 I'll never know why You chose Calvary 37:08 I know it who I am 37:11 I know that I will never understand 37:16 Why one like You would die for one like me 37:23 I'll never know 37:25 But forever I believe 37:32 What kind of love would leave His home in heaven 37:38 To become like the ones He came to save 37:46 What power, what compassion 37:50 Will hold into a cross 37:54 Then raise Him up triumphant 37:57 From the grave 38:04 I'll never know what made You leave the throne 38:11 I'll never know why You chose Calvary 38:19 I know it who I am 38:22 I know that I will never understand 38:27 Why one like You would die for one like me 38:34 I'll never know but forever 38:40 I believe 38:51 I believe 39:29 When I am down, 39:32 And, oh, my soul, so weary 39:38 When troubles come, 39:41 And my heart burdened be 39:46 And I am still and wait here in the silence 39:54 Until you come 39:58 And sit a while with me 40:03 You raise me up, 40:06 So I can stand on mountains 40:12 You raise me up 40:15 To walk on stormy seas 40:21 And I am strong 40:24 When I am on your shoulders 40:31 You raise me up 40:34 To more than I can be 41:13 You raise me up, 41:17 So I can stand on mountains 41:21 You raise me up 41:25 To walk on stormy seas 41:30 And I am strong 41:34 When I am on your shoulders 41:40 You raise me up 41:42 To more than 41:45 I can be 41:51 There is no life, 41:55 No life without its hunger 41:59 Each restless heart beats so imperfectly 42:07 But when you come 42:11 And I am filled with wonder 42:16 Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity 42:23 You raise me up, 42:27 So I can stand on mountains 42:32 You raise me up to walk on stormy seas 42:39 And I am strong 42:42 When I am on your shoulders 42:49 You raise me up 42:54 To more 42:56 Than I can be 43:02 You raise me up 43:07 To more than I can 43:16 Be 43:36 If you would like to learn more 43:38 about Reggie and Ladye Love's music ministry, 43:41 you can do so by writing them at Reggie and Ladye Love Smith, 43:46 PO Box 96, Kingston Springs, 43:50 Tennessee 37082. 43:54 That's Reggie and Ladye Love Smith, 43:56 PO Box 96, Kingston Springs, 44:00 Tennessee 37082. 44:04 If you would like to purchase their CDs, 44:06 why don't you visit their website 44:09 at ReggieAndLadye Love.com. 44:12 That's ReggieAndLadyLove.com. 44:19 Amen. Thank you. 44:37 They didn't just sing to us, they ministered to us. 44:39 And that's what makes it so special. 44:41 You'll having an anointing on you, 44:43 and I'm sure you feel that as you stand up to witness 44:46 when you're witnessing, 44:47 whether you're singing, preaching, testifying, 44:49 whatever you can tell it 44:50 when the Lord really anoints you 44:52 and we feel that anointing today. 44:55 So while we're having fun 44:56 and you've been blessed that way also. 44:58 This is a great time, 44:59 if you don't know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life 45:03 to accept Him today. 45:05 It's a free gift. 45:06 All we have to do is confess our sins, the Bible says, 45:09 "We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." 45:11 That's everybody, no exceptions. 45:14 And it says, "All we have to do is 45:15 ask God to forgive us." 45:17 If we confess our sins, He's faithful 45:19 and just to forgive us from our sins 45:21 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 45:23 Then all we have to do is 45:25 go and tell what Jesus has done for us. 45:27 Always say the gospel words come and go. 45:29 Come to the foot of the cross and go and tell 45:32 what Jesus has done for us. 45:34 So today would be a great time, 45:35 if you're not a Christian to say, 45:37 you know what, I've been so blessed by this. 45:39 God is really speaking to you, 45:41 right now we would encourage you to just say, 45:43 "Jesus come into my life." 45:45 And I promise you, your life will be changed forever. 45:48 Amen. 45:50 You know, Yvonne, 45:51 when I think about being with Reggie and Ladye, 45:54 I mean, we've traveled a lot around countries, 45:56 around the world with them. 45:58 But I'm always amazed, 45:59 no matter wherever we go that they love people so much. 46:04 We've been to restaurants, one night, 46:06 we both got locked in the Aquarium Restaurant 46:09 at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville 46:12 'cause we couldn't find her and they shut, the bar is down 46:15 and we're trying to get out, you know what, 46:17 she was ministering to one of the cooks in the back. 46:19 She's seen something... 46:20 And then they shut the bars down, 46:21 you mean the bars they come down, the gates down. 46:23 The gates. 46:24 Well, yeah, yeah. 46:26 Well, the gates, but the gates and bars. 46:28 I say it wasn't prison or anything. 46:31 But it's the gates that have bars on them 46:34 and likely enough, I'm like to get out of here. 46:36 Where's Ladye, 46:37 but she was ministering to someone in the back. 46:40 And I thought, you know, isn't that great, this folk, 46:42 they're not out just singing and just, you know, 46:45 what you see with them is what you get. 46:47 We have few minutes, we got to talk about 46:49 the Gaither Vocal Band and what's happened to you all, 46:53 Ladye and Reggie, and then what's the difference 46:55 it's making you having to do some adjustments here. 46:58 There is definitely a little bit. 47:00 First of all, I'm very honored to be part of the Vocal Band, 47:02 the Gaither Vocal Band. 47:04 And Mr. Gaither, Mr. Bill has turned 81 years old. 47:07 He wears his fitbit. 47:09 And he walks 13,000 to 14,000 steps every day. 47:12 Every day, so he's really health conscious 47:15 and taking care of himself. 47:16 So he works 14, 16, 18 hours a day. 47:18 So it's been very, very honorary to be part of that. 47:21 And the group of guys, Danny, are just incredible. 47:24 And so they are, who you are singing with now. 47:25 Okay. Oh, boy. 47:27 Watch me try to think of their names, I can't. 47:30 So we have Wes Hampton 47:34 which is just a wonderful, wonderful person. 47:36 He's been in the Vocal Band I think 12 years. 47:38 He's the longest in the group so far at now. 47:42 And just a super, super wonderful person, 47:45 incredible gifted singer. 47:47 And secondly we have Crabb, Adam Crabb, the Crabb family. 47:52 You know, so many of you know who the Crabbs are... 47:54 Oh yeah. Absolutely. 47:55 Just great talent. 47:57 I've been accused to being crabby, I'm not crabby. 47:58 I'm crabby from time to time... 48:00 That's right. But I will say this, he is not crabby. 48:02 Good. 48:04 He's not crab, 'cause we've been on the bus 48:05 many, many trips and he says he's a crab by name 48:07 but he's not crab, 48:08 they're precious, precious people. 48:11 And a wonderful singer, all these guys. 48:13 And then there's a Tod, Tod Suttles, 48:17 amazing, amazing guy. 48:18 This guy, he worked for 20 years 48:21 with the Vanderbilt 48:22 as their strength and conditioning coordinator 48:24 and trainer for all their sports. 48:27 So he would basically take those athletes 48:30 who're broken down and hurt and put them back 48:32 and get them on the back on the field in action. 48:34 And, of course, 48:35 all the professional coaches knew him. 48:37 Tod, incredible gifted voice and just great. 48:40 And, of course, you know the guy that his name on a bus, 48:44 is Bill Gaither, you know, so, you know, he... 48:47 And Tod is a great guy, you tell me all the time. 48:49 Oh, super guy, just amazing. I thought I said that. 48:52 But he's just all over a great guy. 48:54 You now, they're buddies and it makes a big difference. 48:56 They stay good friends. 48:58 So you're like C.A. Murray says about us folk say, 49:01 "Do you liked in real life" 49:03 and he says, "No, we really do get along." 49:05 So you guys really do get along. 49:06 Danny, he's just like guys, I mean, really same thing, 49:08 you know, we all just have a great time together, 49:10 so it's a great honor. 49:11 Now I will say this, 49:13 it's a different rhythm for my family 49:15 because for, you know, almost 30 years... 49:18 Thirty? 49:19 Almost 10 years... 49:23 Almost 10 years... 49:24 Five years. 49:25 Ten years, five years, ten years... 49:28 Lot of years. 49:29 We've been married 22 years, almost 20 years... 49:30 Yeah, sure. 49:32 Anyway, so, you know what, there's a different rhythm 49:34 and I'm traveling with a bunch of guys on the bus 49:38 and not my beautiful wife all the time. 49:40 Now, here's the deal. 49:41 Lot of people are saying, 49:43 so you and Ladye Love will not sing anymore? 49:44 It's not at all true. 49:45 We're singing all the time, we're still continuing to sing, 49:49 and we will always sing the rest of our lives together 49:51 because, you know, that's where we'll end up, 49:53 you know, one day. 49:54 But so we will continue to do events and concerts, 49:57 a big part of 3ABN when they'll have us. 49:58 And, you know, and those kinds of things. 50:00 But, you know, it's little bit different from rhythm 50:02 for Ladye Love, I can't really... 50:03 And our son is enduring, 50:05 I cannot believe we went to high school, 50:07 freshman orientation last year. 50:10 You'll not believe it. 50:11 And he's wanting to be home a little more. 50:13 So this is really kind of a whole wonderful thing 50:15 that God is kind of work this out. 50:17 So I'll be home some with him and there are weekends, 50:19 two weekends in a month that Reggie is not out, 50:21 will be doing what we always do still. 50:23 Good. All right. 50:24 Well, make sure you keep on this list, right, folks. 50:28 Oh, listen. 50:29 People were putting in my Facebook 50:31 "so you're not going to be at 3ABN anymore?" 50:32 I'm like absolutely we are. 50:35 And I always say one thing 50:37 and I didn't know how this will fit into this 50:38 but I just want to say, 50:39 you know, you've been our great friends forever. 50:42 It seems like and when this opportunity came up 50:44 Reggie called you and said, "What do you think, Danny? 50:46 And got your council on that." 50:48 And said, "What do you think about this 50:49 for our family as far as our ministry, 50:52 as far as and you said "Absolutely, 50:54 God is going to use this." 50:55 And I don't remember everything you said 50:57 but you just said, you know, 50:58 that I just wanted people to know 51:00 that it was important to us what you thought. 51:02 Well, I'm glad you called and, 51:04 you know put in my little two sense 51:06 but untimely you and the Lord and Ladye and Reg 51:09 had to work this out, 51:10 and that's the decision you came to. 51:12 So I have no doubt it's of the Lord. 51:14 And so we look forward to when you guys come there, 51:17 if we see the Gaithers coming around 51:19 anywhere in Southern Illinois, 51:21 I think they come to Evansville, Indiana 51:22 or you come over somewhere, St. Louis or Nashville, 51:25 somewhere we're going to come and be a part of it down there 51:29 'cause we love watching y'all. 51:32 You know, Danny, what you said though, 51:33 you said, you know I think this is a God thing. 51:36 You said that I'm pretty sure you said that first. 51:39 And then when I met with Mr. Bill Gaither 51:41 about the possibility, 51:44 he said we were talking the same kind of thing. 51:47 He's verbally said the same thing, 51:48 he said, I just think this is a God thing. 51:51 Right time and God's right timing. 51:52 It's a right timing. And right time for a God thing. 51:54 And that really connected with me 51:57 when I heard that ring out, it's a God thing. 52:00 It's God again, you know. Absolutely. 52:03 Yvonne, what do you think about all this? 52:06 First of all, I'm so proud. 52:08 I'm so proud of what Reggie's doing, 52:10 I'm so proud of Reggie and Ladye when they sing. 52:12 It's just it is a God thing. 52:15 You two get to go out on the road 52:17 to reach all of these people. 52:20 You're using your gifts for the Lord. 52:22 That's huge. It's major. 52:24 And so to know that God has chosen you 52:27 to do this it is a great honor. 52:30 And we're proud of you and we're thankful 52:32 that the Lord is using you like this. 52:34 And I would just like... 52:35 And you're wonderful companion for him. 52:36 I just had to add that. Amen. And Hallelujah. 52:38 I just would like to say... 52:39 Could you have to have the right wife. 52:41 When you're on the road like this, 52:43 you have to have the right companion. 52:44 Otherwise that support isn't there. 52:47 It's a big problem. 52:48 Go head. Well, I know exactly. 52:50 I just want to say to everyone out there, 52:51 you know, we're talking about 52:53 opportunities and different things. 52:54 But God has a plan for every person 52:57 out there right now all of us. 53:00 And it doesn't matter what the platform is, 53:02 He wants to use us. 53:03 And I just feel like that we all need to be diligent 53:06 and be used in however. 53:07 I mean, you've no idea 53:09 the difference you can make in one person's life 53:11 and you don't know what that person 53:12 how he's going to go out or she is going to go out 53:14 and pay that forward or that God is going to use them. 53:17 We're all connected in every decision we make 53:20 and all the choices we make. 53:22 To me the smaller ones are the monumental ones 53:25 that we think are small. 53:26 We have no idea how God uses 53:28 talking to the cook or talking to the... 53:30 whatever because that is what we're called to do. 53:33 Or talking to as you've been put under for surgery 53:36 and apologizing, saying "I'm sorry." 53:38 Where she is coming out of surgery 53:40 and we were there and she's like "I'm sorry. 53:42 I can't..." 53:43 You know, and we were like, Ladye, just relax. 53:45 You deserve this. 53:46 You just came out of surgery, you don't have to apologize. 53:48 That means so much that you all were there. 53:50 And all these people were. 53:52 She's so sensitive about folks and everybody's needs. 53:55 That who she is though so concerned. 53:57 Here she is just coming out of the surgery herself 54:00 and she is worried about us. 54:02 We are like "Don't worry about us, we're just here." 54:04 We're afraid, she's not going to be good company. 54:06 Yeah. Yeah. 54:08 She prayed she's not going to be 54:09 able to stay with the combo conversation, you know. 54:12 But I want to pick up on what Ladye Love said 54:15 because this is so important 54:16 and we talk about this on Dare to Dream a lot 54:19 that God has a plan for every life. 54:22 And there's nothing too small or too big. 54:25 We all have to fit into this mosaic. 54:28 And God has this plan for you. 54:32 You know what? 54:34 Why don't we do something a little different today? 54:35 I saw a guitar there, 54:37 and I'd sure like for Reggie to... 54:39 I don't know if he's used it yet today 54:41 or got to warm up any, 54:43 but it's sitting there with your name on it. 54:44 Why don't we kind of go out today 54:47 and maybe just have you guys sing anything you want to sing, 54:49 something you've written, something you knew 54:51 when you was a child, 54:53 or something you sing on the road, 54:54 or something you make up right now. 54:56 We don't really care. 54:57 We got a little boat, maybe little longer. 54:58 Okay. All right. 55:00 We'll do it. So what we're going to do. 55:02 We're just going to say goodbye to folks right now. 55:04 Until we see you next time, may the Lord richly bless you, 55:07 abundantly more than you could ever ask or think. 55:09 But don't go away yet. That's right. 55:11 We're going to go out today with Reggie and Ladye. 55:14 What are we going to do? 55:15 What song you're going do? 55:17 Let's do that old hymn called "Who at my door is standing". 55:21 Got it. Sing along with them if you know it. 55:31 Who at my door 55:35 Is standing 55:41 Patiently 55:43 Drawing near 55:50 Entrance within 55:53 He's asking 55:59 Whose is the voice 56:02 I hear? 56:07 Sweetly the tones 56:10 Are falling 56:15 "Open the door 56:19 For me! 56:25 If you wilt heed 56:28 My calling 56:33 I will abide 56:37 With thee." 56:41 Lonely without 56:45 He's standing 56:51 Lonely within 56:54 Am I 56:59 While I am 57:01 Still delaying 57:08 Will He not pass me by? 57:16 Sweetly the tones 57:20 Are falling 57:25 "Open the door 57:29 For me! 57:35 If you wilt heed 57:38 My calling 57:43 I will abide 57:46 With thee." 57:50 I will abide 57:52 I will abide 57:57 With thee |
