Thank God for the blood. 04:20 Amen. Praise the Lord. 04:22 Praise the Lord. Great. 04:23 Welcome to a wonderful just hour of singing, 04:27 and me and you around the piano. 04:29 We're back at it again. We're here. 04:31 We are. 04:32 And it's a delight, it's a delight. 04:33 Thank you for joining us. 04:36 You know, singing is... 04:37 We've talked about this many times. 04:39 It's just part of us. 04:40 And so we can't help it 04:42 so whenever they need some singers, 04:44 why they just call on us and we come in and, 04:47 I should be out of breath 04:49 running in at the last minute when they asked me but anyway, 04:51 we're gonna have a great time. 04:53 And we want you to sing along, 04:54 we want you to enjoy the songs that we sing, 04:58 the words of the song, 05:00 anything that you want to clap along with, 05:02 you know, sometimes this music makes me 05:04 just wanna get up and run around this piano. 05:06 Oh, okay. You gotta be careful though. 05:07 Well, if... 05:09 You might slip and fall. 05:10 Might slip and fall or may run into you. 05:13 But, yeah, if running around is not your thing, 05:16 good you'll be out of my way, 05:18 but otherwise just have a good time in the Lord 05:22 and we're serious about worshiping God. 05:24 We love the Lord so much 05:26 and that song up there is great old hymn, 05:30 and it reminds me of another hymn 05:32 that is a little newer, and it says... 05:36 The blood 05:39 That Jesus shed for me 05:48 Way back on Calvary 05:55 The blood that gives me strength 05:59 From day to day 06:03 It will never lose 06:09 Its power 06:13 It soothes my doubts 06:18 And it calms all of my fears 06:24 And it dries all my tears 06:29 The blood that gives me strength 06:34 From day to day 06:39 It will never lose 06:45 Its power 06:49 For it reaches 06:51 To the highest mountain 06:57 And it flows 07:00 To the lowest valley 07:08 The blood that gives me strength 07:12 From day to day 07:17 It will never lose 07:23 Its power 07:28 All through the years 07:30 that that blood has been 07:32 supplying salvation and redemption. 07:34 Praise the Lord for that. Amen. 07:36 It will never lose its power, it will never dilute. 07:38 That's right. 07:40 What will we be without the sacrifice of Christ. 07:42 Right. Exactly. 07:43 Absolutely. So grateful for the blood. 07:47 Amen. Amen. 07:49 Let's sing a little song about the love of God, 07:53 all right, so... 08:03 The love of God 08:08 Has been extended 08:13 To a fallen race 08:21 Through Christ 08:24 The savior of all men 08:30 There's hope in saving grace 08:36 Saving grace 08:39 The love of God 08:43 Is greater far 08:47 Than gold or silver 08:53 Ever could afford 08:56 It reaches past 09:00 The highest star 09:05 And covers 09:08 All the world 09:13 Its power 09:16 Is eternal 09:22 Its glory 09:25 Is supernal 09:30 When all this earth 09:35 Shall pass away 09:39 There'll always be the love of God 09:45 The precious love of God 09:48 It goes beneath 09:52 The deepest stain 09:56 That sin 09:59 Could ever leave 10:05 Redeeming souls 10:10 To live again 10:14 Who will on Christ believe 10:20 Will believe 10:23 The love of God 10:27 Is greater far 10:31 Than gold or silver 10:36 Ever could afford 10:40 It reaches past 10:44 The highest star 10:48 And covers 10:51 All the world 10:57 His power 11:00 Is eternal 11:05 His glory 11:08 Is supernal, 11:12 Supernal 11:16 When all this earth 11:21 Shall pass away 11:25 There'll always be the love of God 11:31 The precious love of God 11:39 Whoo! That one really stretches it. 11:42 Oh, yeah. 11:44 But what measure of the love of God, right? 11:45 Oh, man, praise the Lord. It's a great example. 11:48 Absolutely. Wonderful love of God. 13:29 I'm forgiven 13:31 Because you were forsaken 13:36 I'm accepted 13:39 You were condemned 13:43 And I'm alive and well 13:46 Your spirit is within me 13:50 Because you died 13:53 And rose again 13:57 What amazing love. 13:59 Amazing love, 14:02 How can it be 14:07 That you, my king would die for me 14:14 Amazing love, I know it's true 14:20 And it's my joy to honor you 14:24 If you know that at home sing along, 14:26 amazing love. 14:27 Amazing love how can it be? 14:30 How can it be? 14:32 That you my king would die 14:34 That you my king would die for me 14:41 Amazing love 14:44 I know it's true 14:48 And it's my joy to honor you 14:52 In all I do In all I do 14:58 I honor you 15:02 In all I do 15:05 I honor you 15:16 What love. Praise the Lord. Amen. 15:18 I'm so grateful for His love. Amen. 15:20 We had love for one another. 15:22 I love you, you're a great brother in the Lord. 15:24 And in the short time that we've worked together, 15:27 it's been a privilege 15:29 and we've grown in love and understanding. 15:32 We've traveled now thousands of miles together 15:35 just in the short time. 15:36 And just think though, 15:38 the love that our Father has for us, 15:40 you know, miles and years and the stuff 15:44 that He has seen us do 15:46 and the times that we've disappointed Him. 15:49 What we've been through together 15:51 and yet He hasn't given up His love, 15:52 a love that will not let me go. 15:54 The Bible says that we love Him because He first loved us. 15:58 And so we can't even begin to fathom the true love of God, 16:00 but it's powerful to know that, 16:03 you know, He doesn't judge us by our faults 16:05 or condemn us for our sins, 16:07 He's come to save us from them. 16:09 And so, it's just the gospel is so amazing 16:12 and music is amazing 16:13 'cause music brings people together 16:15 like it has us at this very moment. 16:16 Yeah, it does. Absolutely. 16:17 And music makes me happy. 16:19 That's right. It is just, I can't help it. 16:20 Amen. 16:22 But, and in fact 16:23 there's this song that another... 16:24 It's a song that makes me happy. 16:26 It's a happy song. 16:27 It's talked about victory 16:29 and anytime I can gain victory in life, 16:30 I can be happy with that. 16:31 So let's sing this little fun song. 16:34 Okay? 16:42 I heard an old, old story 16:46 How a Savior came from glory 16:50 How He gave His life on Calvary 16:54 To save a wretch like me 16:58 I heard about His groaning 17:02 Of His precious blood's atoning 17:06 Then I repented of my sins 17:10 And won the victory 17:14 Oh, victory in Jesus 17:18 My Savior forever 17:21 He sought me and bought me 17:25 With His redeeming blood 17:29 He loved me 'ere I knew Him 17:33 And all my love is due Him 17:37 He plunged me to victory 17:41 Beneath the cleansing blood 17:44 That's good. Sing another. 17:46 Yes. I love this verse. 17:47 I heard about a mansion 17:51 He has built for me in glory 17:55 And I heard about the streets of gold 17:59 Beyond the crystal sea 18:03 About the angels singing 18:07 And the old redemption story 18:11 And some sweet day 18:13 I'll sing up there 18:15 The song of victory 18:17 Oh, yeah! 18:19 Oh, victory in Jesus 18:22 My Savior forever 18:26 He sought me and bought me 18:30 With His redeeming blood 18:34 He loved me 'ere I knew Him 18:38 And all my love is due Him 18:42 He plunged me to victory 18:46 Beneath the cleansing blood 18:47 Let's sing another chorus. 18:49 Oh, victory in Jesus 18:53 My Savior forever 18:57 He sought me and bought me 19:01 With His redeeming blood 19:03 Let's take it up again. 19:05 He loved me 'ere I knew Him 19:09 And all my love is due Him 19:13 He plunged me to victory 19:17 Beneath the cleansing blood 19:28 Amen. Sweet victory in Jesus. 19:30 Although how many, how many times 19:32 it doesn't matter you hear that song, 19:33 you'll still get words wrong 19:35 but nonetheless my hearts involved 19:36 and my hearts in it, so that's all that matters. 19:38 We've got victory. 19:39 We've got victory over sin. 19:40 Praise the Lord for Jesus Christ. 19:42 Amen. 19:43 Yeah, I like that line "He plunged me to victory." 19:47 I like that. 19:48 That's just a great picture. 19:50 Sometimes you have to, when you're going through life, 19:51 you're going through battles and you have to remind yourself 19:55 and kind of picture yourself, 19:56 you know, there was a commercial while back 19:58 where that said the nest He plunged, 20:00 you know where they fall back in pool of the water, 20:03 and that's what I kind of like to see myself 20:05 as plunging into victory. 20:06 That's right. I just fall back in it. 20:08 Jesus got me. That's right. 20:09 He got my back. Praise the Lord. 20:11 Praise the Lord. 20:12 So, what else have we got to sing about here? 20:16 Oh, this is a fun song, it's got a... 20:19 It's an old hymn 20:20 that has a couple of different melodies 20:23 and I like one and you like the other. 20:26 And so, we're gonna do the one you like. 20:28 Oh, okay. 20:29 Well, I like both of them but I prefer this one I think. 20:31 Well, this one, I'm gonna let you in. 20:33 This is actually fun, I like it. 20:35 Okay. All right. 20:50 Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it 20:54 Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb 20:59 Redeemed through His infinite mercy 21:03 His child, and forever, I am 21:07 Redeemed, redeemed 21:12 Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb 21:17 Redeemed through His infinite mercy 21:21 His child, and forever, I am 21:32 Redeemed and so happy in Jesus 21:37 No language my rapture can tell 21:42 I know that the light of His presence 21:46 With me doth continually dwell 21:50 Redeemed, redeemed 21:55 Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb 22:00 Redeemed through His infinite mercy 22:05 His child, and forever, I am 22:16 I think of my blessed Redeemer 22:21 I think of Him all the day long 22:26 I sing, for I cannot be silent 22:30 His love is the theme of my song 22:34 I said His love is the theme of my song 22:40 Oh! His love 22:42 is the theme of my song 22:50 Redeemed, redeemed 22:54 Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb 23:00 Redeemed through His infinite mercy 23:05 His child, and forever, I am 23:10 I He said His child and forever, I am 23:20 His child, and forever 23:27 I am 23:38 Ah, I love that hymn. 23:40 Praise the Lord. Redeemed, redeemed. 23:41 Yeah. 23:43 And what's the line that you sang there 23:44 at the end of that verse, you repeated, I love that. 23:46 Yeah, so it says, 23:49 "I think of my blessed Redeemer 23:51 I think of Him all the day long 23:53 I sing, for I cannot be silent 23:57 His love is the theme of my song." 24:01 I love that, yes. 24:02 Yeah, so if we need a title for this program we could say 24:07 "His love is the theme of my song." 24:09 That's the story of my life, man. 24:11 All right. 24:12 Everywhere I go, 24:14 I find myself singing for Jesus 24:16 and I just can't stop because, you know, 24:19 when you have experienced His love 24:21 and what He's done for you, 24:23 you just can't stop singing, 24:24 you can't stop proclaiming 24:25 the goodness of the Gospel of Jesus 24:27 and so, that line is so true. 24:28 Absolutely. 24:30 So, tell me 24:31 about what's going on in your life? 24:34 You recently 24:35 did a service center in Texas, a super series. 24:37 Yeah, so. 24:39 So yeah, just recently myself and Jason Bradley, 24:41 who's the general manager of the Dare to Dream Network, 24:45 we had a wonderful invitation given to us 24:47 to go down to Southwestern Adventist University, 24:50 where we were basically representing 3ABN 24:52 at a mission's fair. 24:54 Missions, kind of covering the whole spectrum of ministry, 24:57 evangelism and all kinds of different things. 24:59 And so, it was a wonderful opportunity 25:01 because we had the opportunity to represent 3ABN 25:04 and talk about what 3ABN is doing, 25:06 what kind of programs we offer, 25:08 and I got to give a shout out 25:10 for our new and upcoming Praise Him Network, 25:13 the full time 24/7 music channel. 25:15 For those of you who don't know, 25:16 Praise Him Music Network 25:18 will be launching in January of 2019. 25:21 So I got to tell the people about that 25:22 and it was just an awesome, wonderful experience. 25:25 And you were part of a youth service, 25:27 was it all youth or was it? 25:30 The video you showed me 25:32 was some great worship that was going on? 25:33 Yeah, right. Absolutely. 25:35 So they have different, 25:37 you know, worship atmospheres down there 25:39 and they have, of course, different age groups 25:41 that attend these particular worship services, 25:44 but the particular one that we had the privilege 25:46 of being involved in was a youth service, 25:49 I forget what it's called think, 25:51 it's called elevated or something like that, 25:54 it was phenomenal. 25:55 The youth, 25:57 they're very talented musicians and singers, 25:58 and it was just wonderful to get to know them 26:00 and connect with them while we were there. 26:03 Yeah, it was great to see the worship that they were, 26:05 that you captured on the video. 26:07 Yeah. 26:08 You know, there's different styles of worship. 26:09 Absolutely. 26:11 And while we know that not all, 26:13 just any old type of worship is accepted by God. 26:16 We know that God has given us specific guidelines 26:19 to how we worship 26:20 but, you know, I also believe that some people, 26:23 you know, different styles and different approaches 26:26 and how they open their heart to the Lord, 26:28 it was definitely on display while we were there. 26:30 And I could tell that the young people 26:31 were really into it, 26:33 their hearts were just pouring out for Jesus. 26:35 And so it was powerful, 26:38 and it also pricked my heart few times 26:41 while I was there, 26:42 just pulled me right into the presence of God, 26:44 it was incredible. 26:45 You know, and we talked about 26:46 how that sometimes you can't tell 26:48 because sometimes musicians, I myself, 26:50 I get so into what I'm doing 26:53 that sometimes 26:55 it might appear to be 26:56 that there's really no worship in it. 26:59 I'm just performing 27:00 and I'm concentrating on hitting all the notes, 27:02 although sometimes you can't always tell, 27:04 I'm trying to be accurate. 27:05 I really am trying to be accurate, 27:07 but my music is such a joy to me. 27:12 And worshiping God through that 27:14 that I never want to judge anyone's, 27:17 the way they're playing. 27:19 Even though I think they may look like 27:21 they're really into their thing 27:22 and they're trying to do a great performance 27:25 and so worship is out the window. 27:26 It's not. 27:28 That excellence is part of our worship to God. 27:30 Absolutely. 27:32 And you should be excited about it. 27:33 Sometimes excitement gets, 27:34 I think, confused with performance, 27:37 you know, we've been across the nation, 27:40 across the world and, you know, 27:41 some people just have different responses to music. 27:43 And so some people just respond differently 27:45 in the sense that some people just kind of sit there. 27:47 But, you know, at the same time, 27:48 I heard a minister say one time to his audience, 27:50 who wasn't responding. 27:52 He said, "Are you happy to be here 27:53 to worship Jesus this morning?" 27:55 'Cause everyone said, amen. 27:56 He said, "Well, tell your face about it." 27:58 Right. 27:59 And so, you know, we can't judge people 28:01 by how it appears to be to us 28:03 because we don't know their heart, 28:05 only God knows their heart. 28:06 And all I have to worry about is me. 28:09 My relationship with the Lord 28:11 and I know that my heart needs to be in the right place 28:13 when I'm worshiping God. 28:14 Amen. Absolutely. 28:16 And so worship goes much deeper than just even our countenance, 28:20 our physical, even though it's good that we, you know, 28:22 show our face like you say, 28:24 but it reminds me of the depth of the Father's love, 28:29 you know, there's different ways 28:30 that He shows us His love. 28:33 And this song is another love song 28:36 and let's sing about this, 28:39 "How deep the Father's love." 28:40 How deep the Father's love for us, absolutely. 28:55 How deep the Father's love for us 29:02 How vast beyond all measure 29:08 That He should give His only Son 29:14 To make a wretch His treasure 29:21 How great the pain of searing loss 29:28 The Father turns His face away 29:35 As wounds which mar the Chosen One 29:41 Bring many sons to glory 30:11 Behold the man upon the cross 30:17 My sin upon His shoulders 30:24 Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice 30:30 Call out among the scoffers 30:37 It was my sin that held Him there 30:43 Until it was accomplished 30:50 His dying breath has brought me life 30:57 I know that it is finished 31:14 I will not boast in anything 31:21 No gifts, no power, no wisdom 31:26 But I will boast in Jesus Christ 31:32 His death and resurrection 31:38 Why should I gain from His reward 31:44 I cannot give an answer 31:50 But this I know with all my heart 31:57 His wounds have paid 32:00 my ransom 32:07 Thank you, Jesus. 32:11 Precious Lord. 32:23 You know, somebody at home, 32:26 watching this, may not... 32:30 They may be going through something 32:31 that they're not feeling the love, 32:33 you know, 32:34 so I just want to stop and pray for them. 32:37 So would you just pray for them, 32:39 someone's hurting. 32:41 Fantastic. Yeah. 32:43 Father in heaven, 32:48 Lord, 32:49 sometimes we can't fully comprehend Your love. 32:53 In fact, Lord, the truth is we can't even begin 32:55 to fathom Your love. 32:57 Because we are scarred, 33:00 scarred by sin, 33:03 but we get a glimpse. 33:06 In fact, we get almost a full open picture 33:09 of the magnificent love of God through Jesus Christ. 33:16 Lord, some people have a tough time understanding 33:19 that are seeing the events 33:22 that transpired on Calvary and I want to pray, Lord, 33:25 for my brothers and sisters in Christ 33:26 who might be struggling, 33:29 who are crying from the inside, 33:32 pleading for the Holy Spirit, 33:35 the love of God to just wrap them up 33:39 and cover them from the evil one. 33:42 So, Lord, I pray in Jesus' name 33:45 that You would just cover them, 33:47 drown them in Your presence, in Your love. 33:50 Help them see their need of You. 33:52 Help them see that you are a God of love. 33:54 Not just mere loving but as your Word says, 33:57 You are love. 33:59 We praise You God, 34:01 and we thank You for the opportunity 34:02 to sing these songs and to uplift Your name, 34:05 for You are worthy. 34:07 For we ask these things in Jesus' name. 34:10 Amen. 34:12 Amen. Thanks, brother. 34:17 Let's do some singing about glorious freedom. 34:21 All right? Yes. 34:22 That's what the gospel is about, 34:24 to give us freedom. 34:25 Yes, it is. Absolutely. 34:26 Once I was bound 34:29 By sin's galling fetters 34:34 Chained like a slave 34:36 I struggled in vain 34:41 But I received 34:43 A glorious freedom 34:48 When Jesus broke my fetters 34:52 In twain Glorious freedom 34:59 Wonderful freedom 35:02 No more in chains of sin I repine 35:09 Jesus the glorious 35:13 Emancipator Now and forever 35:20 He shall be mine 35:28 Freedom from fear with all of its torments 35:35 Freedom from care with all of its pain 35:42 Freedom in Christ my blessed Redeemer 35:49 He who has rent my fetters in twain 35:56 Glorious freedom 35:59 Wonderful freedom 36:03 No more in chains of sin I repine 36:09 Jesus the glorious 36:13 Emancipator Now and forever 36:19 He shall be mine 36:24 Glorious freedom 36:27 Wonderful freedom 36:30 No more in chains of sin I repine 36:37 Jesus the glorious 36:40 Emancipator Now and forever 36:47 Now and forever Now and forever 36:53 He 36:55 Shall 36:57 Be mine 37:07 Amen. Praise the Lord. 37:09 Nothing like freedom. 37:10 That's right. Praise the Lord. 37:12 That's right, brother. 37:13 Yeah, I remember when I was a kid 37:15 back in 1976 though it was, 37:18 we were celebrating the Bicentennial of 37:21 I think it was the Bicentennial, isn't it? 37:22 I think that's what it was, 37:24 but there was a freedom train 37:25 that came through Kansas City 37:27 and it was a traveling museum of... 37:31 They had the Declaration of Independence in it, 37:33 and I remember going with my mom 37:35 and we walked through that train 37:36 and it was like, it was really cool thing. 37:38 I don't know why... 37:40 Well, because freedom, it's called the freedom train. 37:41 So I know there was a reason I was thinking of it. 37:44 But anyway, 37:46 the cool mementos, and souvenirs, 37:52 the other archives, the things that were indicating freedom 37:55 that the documents 37:57 and it was just cool to see that. 37:59 And to know 38:00 that we have the cross as a symbol of freedom, 38:03 the blood as a symbol of freedom, 38:05 His love as a symbol of freedom, 38:07 all the things that He has, 38:09 all the mementos 38:11 that He has given us in His Word, 38:14 full of verses that indicate we are free 38:19 and free to live in glorious freedom. 38:21 Amen. Amen. 38:23 Sounds good to me. 38:26 I will believe myself if that's what it takes. 38:31 We had a great privilege of singing over 38:33 in Australia recently. 38:35 And we did a song that, "Where no one stands alone." 38:40 It's an older song. 38:41 It is an older song, it's fun. 38:43 In fact, I had a few people, 38:44 I've heard the song growing up, 38:46 but I didn't know that it was as popular 38:48 maybe back in the day. 38:50 But a lot of people came up to me and said, 38:52 you know, I know that song. 38:53 It's one of my favorite song so, I'm glad 38:55 that it's blessing others as much as it has me, 38:58 so let's sing it, "Where no one stands alone." 39:00 Absolutely. 39:10 Once I stood in the night 39:15 With my head bowed low 39:20 In the darkness 39:23 As black as could be 39:29 And my heart felt alone 39:34 And I cried, oh, Lord 39:39 Don't hide your face 39:43 From me 39:48 Hold my hand all the way 39:53 Every hour, every day 39:58 From here to the great 40:02 Unknown 40:08 Take my hand 40:13 Let me stand 40:17 Where no one stands 40:22 Alone 40:31 Like a king I may live 40:36 In a palace so tall 40:40 With great riches 40:44 To call my own 40:50 But I don't know a thing 40:55 In this whole wide world 41:00 That's worse 41:03 Than being alone 41:10 Hold my hand all the way 41:15 Every hour, every day 41:21 From here to the great 41:25 Unknown 41:31 Take my hand 41:35 Let me stand 41:40 Where no one stands 41:45 Alone 41:49 Take my hand 41:54 Let me stand 42:01 Where no one 42:05 Stands alone 42:22 Amen. That's a sweet song. 42:25 Amen. 42:27 Praise the Lord. 42:29 There's a song... 43:13 "Jesus, hold my hand." 43:48 Jesus, hold my hand 43:52 I need Thee every hour 43:57 Through this barren land 44:01 Protect me by Thy power 44:06 Hear my feeble plea 44:10 O Lord, look down on me 44:14 When I kneel in prayer 44:17 I know I wanna meet You there 44:19 Blessed Jesus, hold my hand 44:23 So I won't ever stand alone 44:28 Praise the Lord. It's good. 44:30 You know, Tim, 44:31 I remember you playing those songs 44:32 and some of the songs that we're singing here 44:34 on this particular program. 44:36 I remember as a little boy, 44:39 we didn't have cable television growing up, 44:42 quite a few times. 44:43 All we had was those rabbit ears. 44:45 Yeah, and you are young. 44:46 Yeah, so yeah, so, may not all of my childhood, 44:50 I mean, we did have cable on and off at times, 44:52 but majority of the time 44:54 we had those little rabbit ears 44:56 and I remember sitting down 44:57 and watching the Gaither Homecoming, 44:58 and that was 45:00 about the only good Christian music 45:01 that we had come across our television. 45:03 And so I grew up, 45:05 you know, going to church 45:06 and listening to the Gaither Homecoming out, 45:07 you know, Southern gospel music was just instilled within me. 45:11 And you know, hearing you play those songs 45:13 and many of the songs 45:14 and getting the wonderful opportunity 45:16 to be a part of this incredible ministry 45:18 and seeing and bring back those wonderful hymns 45:21 and those beautiful written song. 45:23 I don't know about you, and I'm certainly not bashing, 45:25 you know, the new age music, 45:26 you know, some of the more contemporary music 45:28 but I just personally feel like, 45:29 you know, not all but some of the new age 45:32 contemporary music just doesn't have substance, 45:35 you know, those older songs 45:36 just have such deep meaning and it seems like 45:38 they were well written, the music, the lyrics, 45:41 and I don't know 45:43 have you ever written any songs, 45:44 I don't know if you... 45:45 I've co-written. Okay. 45:47 I'm not a great, I'm not a great lyricist, 45:51 words aren't my strength as you can tell. 45:54 But so I love melodies 45:56 and so I will pair up 45:58 with somebody who is a nice strong lyricist 46:01 who might not be a composer of melodies 46:04 and that's the one thing about, 46:06 you know, I can be hands to somebody else's feet 46:09 and, you know, 46:10 we can be the body of Christ that way. 46:13 But, you know, you're talking about those songs. 46:15 I think the experiences of... 46:18 The services that I was in growing up 46:20 as a child and the connection, 46:23 you know, 46:24 I remember the services 46:26 that we will be in when those songs were sung. 46:29 And there's a connection to that, 46:30 that it wasn't just about a feeling. 46:32 I mean, the words were definitely 46:34 were reaching my spirit. 46:35 And in fact, those are what, 46:36 as I've mentioned before, 46:38 when I'm going through life, 46:39 and I will be humming a melody that sounds somewhat familiar. 46:44 And then when I get to the chorus, 46:46 which was usually the easier part 46:47 for me to remember, because you sang it 46:49 so many times, 46:50 the words will come back to me, 46:52 and I'll remember what with that melody 46:54 with the words and what the pair of it 46:57 putting them together, 46:58 it will spark a memory of the joy 47:01 of remembering them, as singing them as a child. 47:04 So yeah, it's important to instill in our children 47:06 and to sing songs, spiritual songs and hymns, 47:09 as the Bible talks about doing that, so. 47:11 Absolutely, yeah. 47:12 And it's a great way of also memorizing scripture, 47:14 of course, that's nothing new to put melody to music, 47:18 to Bible scripture and... 47:21 So in fact, there's a song in the Psalms 47:27 "As the deer panteth for the water." 47:28 Yeah, as the deer... 47:30 It was funny 'cause I knew we were going to sing this song 47:31 but kind of talking about what we wrote, 47:33 talking about the one that I know. 47:35 There were many times growing up, 47:36 I went hunting with my dad, 47:39 and I'll never forget in the hunting experience 47:41 many times before hunting season 47:43 would begin at least a week or two before, 47:45 we will go out and we would scout the land, okay. 47:47 And I remember my dad would always remind me, 47:51 now look, deer are animals just like any anything else, 47:54 they have to have food, they have to have water 47:55 and, you know, two good places you can always make sure 47:58 that you're gonna get in the path of a deer is, 48:00 you know, on by the food plot 48:03 or by a living water, living stream. 48:05 Right, right. 48:06 Now, I have to admit, 48:07 I never and my dad knows this as well. 48:09 I never really enjoyed hunting. 48:11 I was one of those, I just kind of went 48:13 but I hated it. 48:14 I hated the idea of sitting there long hours, 48:16 and I don't really hunt anymore 48:18 but, you know, there were many times sitting up 48:20 in that deer stand and my... 48:23 And I'm actually telling them myself now, 48:24 'cause my dad's gonna watch this program, 48:26 and he's gonna be like, I never knew that, 48:27 but there were many times 48:29 that I just couldn't bring myself 48:31 to shoot that animal. 48:32 And I would watch deer walk right by me 48:35 and many times it was by a river or stream 48:37 wherever we were. 48:38 And I would watch that deer just gracefully 48:40 go over to the stream, 48:42 and it would just take up the water 48:44 and, you know, growing up now looking back at that, 48:46 having read the scripture in this book of Psalms, 48:49 and we're about to sing this beautiful song entitled 48:51 "As the deer." 48:52 I love the opening line, you know, 48:53 as the deer panteth for the water, 48:55 so my soul longeth after thee, 48:58 that's how we should long after Jesus 49:00 as we need food, 49:01 as we need water to survive, 49:03 as we need oxygen to breathe, 49:04 we need Christ in our life, 49:06 and it's just powerful. 49:08 Christ often use those, you know, 49:10 life lessons as object lessons to teach us 49:12 about how much we truly need Him 49:15 and how much we should desire the kingdom of God. 49:17 Yeah. Absolutely. 49:18 Let's do it. 51:01 As the deer 51:04 Panteth for the water 51:09 So my soul 51:11 Longeth after Thee 51:17 You alone 51:20 Are my heart's desire 51:24 And I long 51:27 To worship Thee 51:33 You alone are my strength 51:37 And my shield 51:40 To You alone 51:43 May my spirit yield 51:51 You alone 51:54 Are my heart's desire 51:58 And I long to worship Thee 52:12 You're my friend 52:15 And You are my brother 52:20 Even though 52:22 You are a King 52:28 And I love You 52:31 More than any other 52:35 So much more 52:38 Than anything 52:44 You alone are my strength 52:49 My shield 52:51 To You alone 52:55 May my spirit yield 53:01 You alone are my heart's desire 53:08 And I long 53:11 To worship Thee 53:22 I want You more than gold 53:27 Or silver 53:29 Only You 53:31 Can satisfy You 53:38 You alone are the real joy 53:42 Giver 53:44 You're the apple 53:46 Of my eye 53:51 You alone are my strength 53:56 My shield 53:58 To You alone 54:01 May my spirit yield 54:08 You alone 54:12 Are my heart's desire 54:17 And I long 54:21 To worship Thee 54:32 I love you, Lord 54:37 And I lift 54:40 My voice 54:44 To worship You 54:50 Oh, my soul 54:54 Rejoice 54:57 Take joy my King 55:03 In what You hear 55:08 Let it be a sweet, sweet sound 55:14 In Your ear 55:22 You alone 55:25 Are my strength and my shield 55:29 To You alone 55:33 May my spirit 55:36 Yield 55:41 You alone 55:45 Are my heart's desire 55:50 And I long 55:53 To worship 55:56 Thee 56:01 And I long 56:05 To worship 56:11 Thee 56:23 Amen. Precious. 56:25 Praise the Lord. Amen. 56:26 Isn't worshiping the Lord a wonderful thing? 56:28 It is. Thank You, Lord. 56:31 Thank you, Lord. 56:35 Just take a take a moment in your day, 56:38 every day to open a psalm and just read through it 56:42 and sing to the Lord. 56:45 It's a good feeling. 56:46 And more than a good feeling, it's a good practice. 56:49 And it worships, 56:52 it builds you up, and it encourages you, 56:56 and it glorifies Him. 56:58 And it plants that word in your life. 57:01 So, sing songs of praise to Him, 57:04 hymns and spiritual songs. 57:05 Amen.
