00:01 Well, we have been so enjoying our time
00:04 with Nelson Ernst today, the director of GLOW. 00:07 And before we let him go, I told him, 00:11 Nelson, you need to give somebody at home who's saying, 00:15 "Oh, I'd love to do this. 00:16 It looks simple but what would I say to someone 00:19 to hand out one of these little pamphlets." 00:22 You know, you actually don't have to say much of anything. 00:24 Lot of times you don't have to say anything at all. 00:28 And I'll even go further than that and say that 00:29 if you have the tracks in your pocket, 00:32 you are probably in danger of being moved by God 00:35 to get those things out even when you don't want to. 00:39 I mean, I myself have carried tracts with me, 00:42 and I have been reluctant to give them away. 00:45 At one time in an airport, this is the case, 00:47 and I want it... God told me, 00:49 "Give it to the person next to you in the security line." 00:51 I didn't do it. 00:52 Well, anyway I went through the security checkpoint 00:54 and I had to take my jacket off and all these kind of things 00:56 to go through the conveyor belt where they scan it. 00:58 When I pulled my jacket back out, 01:00 all my tracts fell out on the ground, 01:01 and the person who I was convicted to give it to 01:04 right behind me in line 01:06 saw all these tracts laying out on the ground, 01:07 and they're like, "Oh, what are those?" 01:09 So it was a perfect opportunity 01:10 God kind of forced the situation. 01:12 So I guess, you know, the simple answer is if you... 01:15 Just first of all get the tracts in your pocket, 01:18 get them in your purse, 01:20 and then God is gonna open up opportunities for you 01:22 which you wouldn't have even thought of. 01:24 Secondly, pray about it. 01:26 Ask God to lead you to those opportunities, 01:27 and He'll make you, you know, cognizant of different, 01:30 you know, opportunities that you have to give them out. 01:32 Now I know some people get very creative in their ways 01:35 that they give them out. 01:37 Share some of those? Well, that's true. 01:39 We've had a lot of different ideas come out. 01:43 I think of this one guy, he's in San Francisco, 01:45 and he's trained his parrot to give GLOW tracts to people. 01:49 Yeah. 01:50 So actually it's not a parrot, it's cockatoo, 01:52 but he takes this thing out and when little kids come up 01:54 and they wanna see his cockatoo that's sitting on his shoulder, 01:58 he gives the tract to the cockatoo's beak, 02:00 and the cockatoo then takes it 02:02 and hands it with his beak out to the kid 02:04 and nobody's gonna say no to a cockatoo, right? 02:05 Yeah. 02:07 So another person was in charge of a youth group 02:10 came up with a great idea. 02:12 They all got white shirts and they got markers 02:15 and they wrote on the white shirts 02:17 and then they went into Walmart as a group 02:20 and what they wrote on the white shirts 02:21 was the following, it said, 02:23 "Take the tract to unfreeze me." 02:27 So they walked all as a group in Walmart 02:29 and then they would stop periodically frozen 02:32 in whatever position that they're in 02:33 and as people were walking by customers they'd say, 02:35 "What's going on here?" 02:36 And then they would read the tract... 02:38 Read the shirt, "Take the tract to unfreeze me." 02:39 And all of them had tracts in their hands 02:41 and people catch on, take the tracts, 02:42 and then they'd just keep on walking like normal. 02:44 That's amazing. 02:45 Well people are so creative.
