Danny kind of 30:27 threw it out, first of all... - We did. - To an A-lister. 30:31 [laughter] And the A-lister didn't kind of feel anything for 30:36 it, so he said, "Well"... - "I didn't mean for you to 30:38 be the B Team." - Well, so then, the B team came in, 30:42 and we were having a meeting. And so I said, 30:45 "Well, let me just see if I feel something." 30:48 And I just...right now. This is the fastest song 30:52 that God has ever given to... - Let me tell the whole 30:54 story. - The rest of the story! - The whole story, 30:57 the truth, and the truth only. [laughter] - Yes! 31:00 - All right. Was...we were going to co-write 31:02 this song, right? - Oh, that's what we did. [laughter] 31:04 - "Behold; I come quickly." So I told Lanny, "I've got 31:07 something here I want to come and show you," so I 31:09 naively got my little recorder out and sang 31:13 it a little bit and had some chords on it, and 31:16 I said, "I'm going to go over and show Lanny and 31:18 see if he"... You know, we've written some songs, Lori/Laurie? 31:20 where we co-write. I'll do a verse and the music 31:23 or chorus, and he'll come and add to it. So I said, 31:26 "That's what we'll be doing here," right? So, 31:28 I got my little... Told Lanny, "I'm coming over." 31:31 Take me about 15-20 minutes at most. "Okay!" So I walk 31:35 in the door, I pull out my recorder, put it on 31:37 the table, he said, "Just before you do that, I was 31:40 working on this before you came in. Let me show you 31:43 what I got." And it was so good, I put my recorder 31:47 back in my pocket, and he's like, "Well, how do you 31:50 like"- I said, "No, you don't have to hear mine. 31:52 I think this is fine." So, great song, Lanny, 31:55 and great job. The Lord really blessed, but it's 31:57 all Bible. "Behold; I come quickly." Revelation. 32:00 Right at the end, that's the victory that we get 32:03 as Christians. So we look, we've read the 32:06 back of the book as we've always said, and it says 32:08 we win. And so, praise the Lord, "Behold; I come 32:12 quickly," and all we have to do is accept that free 32:15 gift that Jesus gave us on the cross of Calvary. 32:18 Right? Gift of salvation, submit and commit our 32:21 lives to Him, and then go and tell what He's 32:24 done for us. He says, "Go ye into all the world," 32:27 and that's really what we're doing here. And you 32:29 at home, you can go unto all the world. Maybe it's 32:31 your family, maybe it's your neighbors, somebody 32:34 at the gas station... Wherever! That's all 32:36 the world to you. Depends where we are. That's all 32:39 God expects us to do. So today, we want you to be 32:42 ready, we want to be ready, because we believe Jesus 32:45 is coming soon. And when He comes, it says every 32:47 eye shall [see Him]. Isn't that amazing? It's not 32:51 some- we hear about this secret rapture, secret... 32:54 No, no! The Bible says, "Every eye shall see Him." 32:57 And the sounds, you just said, it's going to crescendo. 32:59 It's going to be big, 'cause when Jesus comes 33:01 back to this earth, the biggest event in the history 33:04 of the world, and I look forward to it and I know 33:07 you do, too. This is one of those special 41:11 songs where I actually argue with God because 41:15 of the nature of the reason why the song was written. 41:22 I questioned God as to why His grace would be 41:26 extended to certain people and their situation that I 41:30 thought God should never have extended grace. I'll 41:34 never forget: We were actually asked to do the 41:38 music for this person's funeral. I didn't want to 41:41 do it, because I just didn't feel comfortable, 41:44 because that person and their situation didn't pass 41:48 my smell test for grace. "So who are you?" So 41:55 I'll never forget, Yvonne. In the middle of the night, 41:56 God woke me up and He said, "Excuse me! What 42:01 do you have to bring to the bargaining table?" 42:04 He said, "I'm not promised you tomorrow, either, and 42:08 whether it's 30 years or 90 years, your life is 42:13 no more valuable at 90 than 30... You have no 42:16 more to give me." And so, God just poured a big dose 42:21 of grace understanding in my heart. And so because 42:25 of that, I did the music for the funeral and I wrote 42:29 the song, "His Grace Is Still Amazing." 42:36 Amazing grace How sweet the sound 42:43 That saved a wretch like me 42:48 I once was lost But now I'm found 42:53 Was blind, but now I see 42:59 And though I've sung it so many times 43:05 I still can't understand 43:10 The grace that caught my falling soul one day 43:16 With two precious nail-scarred hands 43:24 And His grace is still amazing 43:32 To me (Oh, to me) 43:36 And for as long as I shall live 43:43 It will always be 43:49 More than my mind can comprehend 43:54 To think that God would take me in 43:59 Yes, His grace It's still amazing to me 44:12 Take a light that's been broken and scarred by sin 44:23 Take a light that has so little to offer Him 44:33 Oh, then take it Take it to Jesus 44:40 Will He turn it away? 44:45 No! He was making cassettes 52:42 back in those days. Anybody remember cassettes? You 52:45 don't back there, but the rest of us do. And the... 52:48 remember cassettes and- he was a volunteer, and 52:51 I was in construction at the time. I said, "What 52:53 do you do?" And he said, "I'm a construction worker." 52:55 And I said, "Well, how often do you travel?" 52:57 He said, "As often as I can." I said, "Well how 52:59 do you make a living?" He said, "Well, I've got 53:01 my priorities straight." He said, "Let me tell 53:03 you a little story." He said, "Years ago, my 53:05 daughter Heidi, she was just four years old and 53:08 she fell, and she hurt her head really bad and they 53:12 had to put a"... What do you call it? Like a shunt 53:14 in her head, and she was in a coma. They didn't know 53:19 if she would live or what would happen, and so they 53:21 finally took her home from the hospital, but she was 53:23 I think unconscious for quite a while. And I don't 53:26 know if it's days and weeks went by. They'd 53:29 pray for her; they did everything! Everything 53:32 they could for her...but they said, "Nothing seemed 53:34 to work." One morning, the man says, "I went 53:38 in, and I heard Heidi! Heidi was up in bed 53:42 and she said, 'Daddy! I'm hungry!'" He said, 53:45 "It scared me so bad. Maybe she's gonna die!" 53:48 He grabbed her, put her coat on her, went to the 53:51 hospital to make sure, because how could she 53:54 be okay? So they took her to the hospital. When 53:57 she got to the hospital, they said, "I don't know. 54:00 Everything's fine." They took it off, everything 54:03 off of her, took her home, and it was a miracle. So 54:07 they were talking about it, and little four-year-old Heidi 54:10 said-get this-they said, "Heidi, we don't know what 54:15 happened, but you're healed!" And she said, "Well Daddy, 54:19 last night Jesus came into my room." She said, "He 54:26 touched me with His hand." Family went off, friends of 54:33 theirs were missionaries overseas, the parents 54:37 had told the story... 13 years later, they came 54:42 back. Heidi's now 17. The missionary family said, "Heidi, 54:46 there's something we've been wanting to ask you 54:50 for 13 years. When you were little, do you remember 54:53 you said Jesus came into your room and He touched 54:57 you with His hand and He healed you?" "Yes, I 55:01 remember." They said, "Here's the question 55:05 we've been waiting all these years to ask you 55:07 face-to-face. How big is Jesus' hand?" Without 55:13 flinching, Heidi said, "It was big enough to 55:17 cover my whole body." Somebody hear that? God's 55:22 hand is big enough to cover your whole body. God's hand 55:26 is big enough to cover everything in your life 55:29 that Satan has tried to take away from you. All 55:32 the joy that He's trying to steal from you, don't 55:34 worry about it. God's hand is big enough. He will move 55:37 Satan out of the way. All you have to do is say, "Jesus, 55:40 come into my life. Please come into my heart. Forgive 55:43 me for my sins." God will bring you a peace and a joy 55:47 that passes all understanding." I promise you if you try Jesus, 55:52 you'll never be sorry. Everybody here, you've 55:54 all tried Jesus. Would you go back in the world? [No!] 55:57 Yvonne, you used to sing in the world, and she made 56:00 a lot of money, Lanny, singing, but... [laughter] 56:02 But she used to sing world- would you trade that for 56:04 this? - Oh, no. - Never? - No, never! Never, 56:07 never, never. - Nothing can compare. - Nothing can compare. 56:11 The peace and joy that you have, singing for Jesus, 56:14 it doesn't compare with anything else. There's 56:17 nothing better than singing for the Lord. - All right. Put 56:20 your life in God's hands. John, would you pray for 56:24 us? - Father in heaven, we have come to put ourselves 56:28 under the almighty hand of God, illustrated so 56:31 beautifully through Heidi's experience...but each one 56:35 of us has failed to touch from Your healing hand. 56:38 You've brought us out of the darkest places. You've 56:40 rescued us from the ferocious attempts of the enemy. And this 56:45 afternoon, Father, we give our voices to lift 56:48 and raise You. But Lord, more than our voices, we 56:50 pray that our lives will be a sweet-smelling savor 56:53 in your presence. We pray that what we do, Lord, will 56:56 surely remind us that we are in the presence of not 56:59 only a holy God, but a God who wants to touch 57:02 us and heal us. Lord, extend this touch through 57:05 the television to somebody's heart, through the radio, that 57:07 you'll bring healing and strength to their lives today. 57:11 We ask in your holy and precious name I pray, 57:14 amen. Amen. - Our time is all gone for today.
