00:01 - You know, this makes me wish I were young
00:02 again, had it to all do over with. What we'd 00:04 like to do-just got a few minutes left-let's 00:06 get a closing thought from each one of you. 00:09 And Sunika, we'll begin with you. - Okay, sure, sure. 00:11 So, I think going on a mission trip really was 00:15 a huge blessing in my life. I never thought 00:17 that I would have the opportunity to stand 00:20 before people and to speak or to preach, 00:22 but God was able to use me to reach those people. 00:26 And so, I would say that if you're looking for a way 00:29 to reach out to people, it doesn't have to be on 00:31 some huge? mission trip, but you can reach 00:33 out to people right where you are. But I would say 00:37 if you are looking for a high school to go to, 00:39 Weimar is a great place. And I know for me, it's 00:42 definitely changed my life. Before I came here, 00:45 I didn't really have any sort of relationship with 00:47 God, but it's really changed the way I've 00:50 seen a lot of things, and God's really used this school. 00:53 - If He's changing you now, He's just changed 00:55 your future. Miss Venice. - Well, I think it's impacted 01:01 my life in a big way. Before I came to Weimar, 01:06 I didn't really have a relationship with God, 01:09 and through... - And that's growing up in a very strong 01:12 Christian family, too. - Yeah. I kind of depended 01:15 on my own works to kind of... - Sure, I understand. 01:21 - And this last year, I realized how much I 01:25 needed to be dependent on Him. - Amen! - His 01:27 righteousness that covers me. - Amen! - And so, I 01:31 realized that at Weimar, and I'm very, very thankful 01:33 for that. - Oh, that is such a beautiful... That's 01:36 music to my ears-to hear that you've learned that 01:39 at such a young age, 'cause if we could all just learn that, 01:42 that's what it's all about. Okay, Justin. 01:46 - Weimar has changed my life; it's changed my family's life. 01:50 I mean, I've been able to learn different trades 01:54 there at Weimar, I've learned something that 01:55 can get me through college, make me a good living, and 01:59 I've also been able to discover different things 02:02 like dentistry and stuff like that and that I might 02:04 want to go into in the future. And most importantly, my first 02:09 year that I was there at Weimar, I mean, my life 02:11 completely changed. Before that, as Venice said and 02:13 Sunika said, I didn't really have much of a 02:17 relationship with God, and I was able to be 02:20 baptized there directly because of Weimar. I 02:22 know that I would not be the same person today 02:24 if it wasn't for Weimar. We have Week of Prayers 02:28 twice a year there. I mean, it's just completely surrounded- 02:31 Weimar's completely surrounded by spiritual 02:34 things, and I've really been able to focus on 02:36 God because of Weimar. [Amen!] - Glory to God. 02:40 Kirk? Give us a final word. - Well, it's been 02:43 a blessing; but I think one thing I would like 02:46 these young people to experience is when things 02:49 come their way, to see God's goodness and 02:52 recognize His goodness in all the trials. It's so 02:55 easy to get discouraged and complain, but turn 03:00 that complaining around to see what God has in 03:02 store for you in a mighty way. I've seen it in my 03:04 own life, and yeah. I'm excited to see those 03:07 young people that recognize that and grasp that and just 03:11 ask the Lord what He has in the trials. - Amen. - I 03:15 mean, you look at the stories in the Bible of 03:17 ? some of the great people, some of the greatest 03:18 trials was when they surrendered to Him, 03:21 God made dramatic things happen in their life. 03:25 - That's... I'll tell you that-my personal 03:29 experience in my life, the worst year of my 03:31 life, turned out to be the best year of my 03:33 life, because I learned how to surrender to 03:36 the Lord and I learned what true faith was. 03:38 Sunika, thank you for being here. - Thank you 03:42 for having me. - Venice, I can't believe you're all 03:44 grown up. And we are so glad that you've 03:48 joined us today-Justin, as well. And thank you, 03:51 Kirk, for what you do. You know, our prayer 03:54 for you at home is that the grace of our Lord 03:57 and Savior Jesus Christ, the love of the Father, 03:59 and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit will be 04:01 with you always. See you next time. 04:04 - God bless. |
