What would you 00:11 say to that young person that's at home that may 00:13 be struggling with their relationship with Christ, 00:16 or they may not even have a relationship with Christ? 00:18 Why should they give Jesus a chance? - Well you know, 00:23 I've been a Christian for just about two years 00:25 now, and I know what it's like to struggle with having 00:29 a relationship with God and not knowing where 00:31 to start, and not knowing how to form that relationship 00:33 with God...but these past two years have been the 00:35 best years of my life. Just a word of advice 00:39 that I have for you is no matter how discouraging 00:42 it can seem to keep trying to learn about God, that 00:47 no matter how unequipped you feel, through service 00:50 God will help you grow your relationship with 00:52 Him. Don't give up! Keep going, and God will grow 00:57 closer to you, and you'll grow closer to God in that 00:59 process. - Amen. - And I would just say that if 01:02 you're struggling with your relationship with God, just 01:04 get involved in serving others; start doing ministry 01:06 wherever you are, even if you're not at a public 01:09 university. Just getting involved will help your 01:10 relationship grow and get stronger. - Amen. 01:14 And Pastor, what would you say to the parents 01:15 of the wayward child? - You know, I would personally say 01:20 that two things are most important: the first being 01:23 prayer and the second being example. Prayer 01:27 is always effective because we put God on the side of 01:31 the individual to help them along. And also the example 01:35 of... I think as a parent, it's very good when we 01:40 keep ourselves close to Christ. That will encourage 01:42 our children to remain close to Him, as well. 01:46 And also, say, get in touch with friends who 01:48 are able to help them along. - Amen.
