00:07 Mending broken people 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Removing pain 00:23 Lord, let my words 00:30 Heal a heart that hurts 00:34 I want to spend my life 00:40 Mending broken people 00:45 I want to spend my life 00:51 Mending broken people 01:09 Hello and welcome to another 3ABN Today program. 01:11 We are so grateful that you have joined us today. 01:14 I don't know how your day is going 01:16 but here are 3ABN the Lord is blessing, 01:18 things are happening, 01:19 and we're so thankful that you take the time out of, 01:22 we know your busy schedule to join us. 01:25 Especially if you're a longtime viewer, 01:27 listener of 3ABN, I don't know how often you pay attention 01:31 to the theme song that's just played 01:32 as the open was rolling and you saw the videography 01:36 and some of the still photography. 01:38 I don't know if there was actually 01:39 any still photography, 01:41 all the videography that was there 01:42 and sometimes you can just take for granted 01:43 the words that are being sung, 01:45 and Mr. Danny has sung that for the theme song, 01:47 for the Today open for many, many years. 01:49 But as I was sitting here in my chair, 01:51 just thinking about the words to that song, you know, 01:54 we all want to spend our lives mending broken people. 01:57 And I don't know where you're at 01:59 in your walk today or you, 02:01 maybe you're a little discouraged 02:03 or something like, "What can I do for God?" 02:05 I want to just encourage you, 02:06 maybe you're driving down the road, 02:07 you're sitting at home maybe, 02:09 and not sure how God can use you. 02:11 He can because the words that you say, 02:14 as the song was saying, 02:15 I want my words to heal a heart that hurts. 02:19 You can be at Walmart, 02:21 as we have number of Walmart's here in the United States 02:24 or you can be at the gas station 02:26 and you see someone, you can just say, 02:28 "How's your day going?" 02:29 And just give them a little word of encouragement 02:31 or maybe if you're stuck at home 02:33 and you don't get to talk too many people, 02:34 you can write a little note 02:36 of encouragement to someone today, 02:40 but God can use any of us 02:42 no matter what part of the world 02:43 any language that is spoken. 02:46 God can use all of us to mend a heart that hurts. 02:49 And we just want to say thank you 02:50 because many of you have stood with 3ABN 02:52 from the very beginning. 02:53 And 3ABN is all about mending broken people. 02:57 And so your financial support, 02:58 your prayers for the ministry of 3ABN 03:01 are making a difference, 03:02 not only for the eternal part but also the... 03:06 I believe people that are just hurting 03:09 and in need of a Savior. 03:11 And talking about language and around the world 03:15 and we have our family 03:16 from 3ABN Russia here with us today. 03:18 Yay! 03:19 I'm always excited when the family 03:21 from 3ABN Russia comes 03:22 because they are truly part of the family 03:24 and you are part of the family at home as well, 03:27 so we count you as part of that family. 03:30 And we have with us, 03:31 our precious sister, Dr. Julia Outkina, 03:35 who's the executive director of 3ABN Russia. 03:37 And we always love it when you come here, 03:40 when you spend time. 03:42 I know in Russian, you're doing many programs, 03:45 but here you get to come and do programs in English. 03:48 So it's a joy to have you here, Sis. 03:50 Oh, yes. 03:52 When Greg was speaking, 03:53 I just thought 3ABN makes a difference 03:56 around the world. 03:58 It's not just Walmart in the United States, 04:01 it is, you know, 04:02 we are across the whole of Russia. 04:04 We're on two satellites there. 04:06 Who would think about that in 1992 when, you know, 04:10 Pastor John Carter and Danny Shelton, 04:13 3ABN had the boldness of coming to the post-communist Russia 04:17 just after the fall of communism, 04:19 and amazing things are happening. 04:22 And, yes, we have participated in several programs here. 04:29 And since I have to do the translation all the time, 04:32 and then the guys start speaking English themselves, 04:35 and I think this is the gift of tongues 04:37 they have taken, see. 04:39 Amen and amen. 04:40 You know, and you all understand, 04:42 though you may not want to speak 04:43 in English or whatever, 04:44 but still you understand English very well 04:46 'cause we're communicating here at 3ABN. 04:48 It's so fun to have them here with us 04:50 spending usually a number of weeks, 04:52 for two, three weeks just depends. 04:54 It's so fun to have the crew here with us. 04:56 Yeah. It is. 04:58 You know, I just think Julia is always a mentor for me... 05:01 Yeah, I agree. 05:02 Personally for Greg and I, both of us. 05:03 True. 05:05 She just is an incredible woman of God, 05:06 a woman of faith. 05:08 And she just pours into the lives 05:10 of the people that she meets 05:11 and she definitely pours into my life. 05:14 And we love it when she can be here 05:15 and she brought part of the team with her. 05:19 Greg and I had the privilege of going to 3ABN Russia 05:22 at 3ABN Russian Evangelism Center 05:25 there in Nizhny Novgorod couple years ago 05:28 and we're going again very soon. 05:30 And it's just a thrill to see 05:32 what God does at the facility there 05:35 with the people 05:38 and your heart for ministry, so thank you. 05:40 I know sitting next to Julia, we have Vadim Trusyuk. 05:44 Yes. 05:45 And you are production manager for 3ABN Russia. 05:47 Yeah. 05:48 So how many times have you been here? 05:54 Fourteen years ago, I came to work at 3ABN Russia. 06:01 This is my fourth time at 3ABN parent. 06:12 And I'm always amazed at the fact that coming here 06:15 on the other side of the globe... 06:19 to a different country 06:21 to seemingly like a different place. 06:27 We just come to our family wherever we feel part of it. 06:32 That's great. 06:40 This is a proof of how God unites His people 06:43 around the world. 06:51 And we are so honored to be able 06:54 to do this amazing work 06:56 of mending broken people together with you. 06:58 Amen. 06:59 Well, we feel the same, Vadim, and when and Julia, of course, 07:02 when we come to 3ABN Russia, 07:04 it's just like being part of the family. 07:06 It's just wonderful. 07:07 And that's exciting, I look forward to heaven. 07:10 Won't that be amazing? 07:11 Yep, to be with all of God's family for sure. 07:13 Sitting next to Vadim, we want to make sure 07:15 we introduced the rest of the family is Daniil 07:17 and he's video production manager. 07:20 Yeah. 07:21 But I'm not going to pronounce your last name. 07:23 I apologize. 07:24 You wanna... 07:25 Patsukevich. 07:27 Patsukevich. And on TV too. 07:36 So tell us how long you've been at 3ABN Russia? 07:45 It will be 10 years soon... 07:48 That's great. 07:49 Yeah, that I have been with 3ABN Russia. 07:54 And this is my second time at 3ABN parent. 08:03 And the country is my second visit 08:06 and the country doesn't seem new to me anymore. 08:17 And I feel like at 3ABN like I have come 08:21 to a place close to my heart. 08:49 And I'm so happy to see those people 08:51 whom I met four years ago 08:53 when I was here the first time to see new people 08:56 and to see how much on fire for the Lord everyone is here, 09:00 very, very inspiring. 09:02 Yeah. 09:03 Amen. 09:06 We can say being young people 09:08 that we have grown up at 3ABN. 09:11 Yeah. 09:12 I was kind of thinking that 09:14 'cause if you think Daniil was 10 years, 09:16 well, he looks maybe 20, so you started very early. 09:26 I was 17 when I came to 3ABN Russia 09:29 and my purpose was that I earned my living 09:32 and I can pay for my school. 09:43 My plans for life were such that I would work 09:46 for about three years at 3ABN Russia. 09:54 Because the curriculum of my university 09:57 where I started presupposed 09:59 that I moved to Moscow in later year. 10:07 And as a result I made up my mind 10:09 that I would rather continue in ministry 10:11 than continue my school, so I stayed in Nizhny Novgorod. 10:17 And with me it was the other way around, 10:19 the other way round. 10:26 Me being a pastor's child 10:27 and Daniil is a pastor child also, 10:29 pastor's kid. 10:30 So when our parents came for pastors' meeting 10:34 at 3ABN Russia Facility, 10:37 then we being little children 10:39 would run in all of those, you know, 10:42 corners of that huge building. 10:48 And the studio itself was always locked. 10:54 And we were so curious to know what is going on there 10:57 behind those locked doors. 11:00 And I thought, oh, 11:02 if I could find myself someday there. 11:04 Isn't that amazing? 11:07 So several years passed by 11:09 and I found myself there working for the Lord. 11:18 And the steps that I made there, 11:22 I was a cleaning person, 11:24 I was a driver, I was a camera person 11:26 and then the Lord put me in administration position, 11:30 so praise the Lord. 11:32 Amen. Amen. 11:33 I think the key is to be willing 11:35 to whatever direction God wants to take your life. 11:43 When we were here some time ago, 11:45 probably it was my first visit. 11:52 My heart was deeply touched 11:54 with the words that Mollie said. 12:01 Mollie said my position here 12:03 is the next one after Danny Shelton, 12:09 but when there is need and the toilet clogs, 12:13 then I go and clean it. 12:15 I can flush. 12:18 I remember it for all my life 12:21 and still stick to that principle. 12:23 Amen. 12:27 We have not introduced Angie, 12:29 so let's make sure we do that too. 12:31 Angela Buzina, and she is an editor 12:36 as well as photographer there at 3ABN Russia. 12:40 And tell us how long you've been there? 12:48 Soon there will be three years. 12:49 Wow! 12:54 And my story also begins in my childhood... 12:59 because I participated as a little kid 13:04 when they taped children's programs. 13:06 Oh, I didn't know that. 13:11 And my mom when I grew up a little... 13:15 she had the dream 13:16 that I someday work at 3ABN Russia. 13:24 Before coming to work at 3ABN Russia, 13:26 I worked in several places. 13:29 And God blessed me... 13:33 in those places, but a breaking point came... 13:45 and in a very unusual 13:47 and unexplainable way to myself, 13:51 I found myself at 3ABN Russia. 13:53 Oh, wow! 13:57 So I didn't know how God arranged it all... 14:04 because I didn't have any education further. 14:08 And now I'm with 3ABN Russia and I'm very happy. 14:14 And when I came to America... 14:24 I felt that the ministry that we do in Russia, 14:29 it is much bigger. 14:31 It covers the whole world. 14:32 Yeah, and that's right. 14:41 It's not our little team 14:44 that works there to cover Russia, 14:47 but it is an amazing ministry 14:49 that covers the whole world, and Vadim adds 14:52 that we are just one small member 14:55 of the beautiful body of Christ, 14:59 which is 3ABN can be considered the body of Christ 15:03 because it has its own eyes, it has its own ears, 15:05 it has its own feet and everything. 15:08 And when I read the Bible, I think, I see there, 15:12 but it's not just the church that is a body of Christ, 15:15 but a ministry is a body of Christ. 15:17 Amen. I like that. It's good. 15:19 Yeah, so this is what... 15:21 Yeah, it's an honor for us. 15:22 Well, we believe that God has brought each one of you 15:24 and I know you're a part of the team. 15:26 There's some more that are still in 3ABN Russia 15:28 that were not able to make the trip, 15:30 but we thank you for your contribution. 15:32 And I tell our crew here to our production crew, 15:36 it's just amazing, Julia, 15:37 because, you know, even as we sleep at night, 15:39 the gospel is going around the world 15:41 and no matter what language, 15:42 whether it's Russia, or English, or Spanish, 15:44 or French, you know, isn't that... 15:46 I mean, to me, that's just powerful. 15:47 So the work that we do, 15:49 whether it's plunging a toilet like 15:50 you were mentioning or in front of the camera, 15:52 behind the camera, it's making a difference. 15:54 Yeah. 15:55 And I want to say this to Julia, 15:57 I think these programs are really, 15:58 they're very dear to many people's heart 16:00 that are watching today 'cause many people, 16:03 I remember myself and my sister back in early 90s 16:06 were watching the program of like, "Oh, wow! 16:09 Danny Shelton's going over to Russia 16:10 and this is amazing opportunity." 16:12 The building they found, the miracles 16:13 that are taking place there. 16:15 So many people have stood with supporting 3ABN Russia 16:18 has seen it grow now. 16:20 Well, it's well over 25 years 16:23 and today we want to just give you some updates. 16:25 There are some amazing statistics 16:26 of how 3ABN Russia is continuing to grow 16:29 to reach many more people. 16:31 We also want to appeal 16:32 to you as well and say thank you 16:36 for your support of 3ABN Russia. 16:37 As we said many of you have stood 16:39 through the years of supporting 16:40 'cause it does cost some money 16:42 to spread the gospel throughout Russia. 16:44 But in case you haven't 16:46 and you're just feeling today like, 16:47 oh, the Holy Spirit is impressing you 16:48 to give something, 16:50 we'll give you that contact information 16:51 at the end of this program and how you can do that. 16:53 But, Julia, share some of the exciting news 16:55 that is going on. 16:57 Do you want say something? 16:58 Can I say something real quick? Yeah, that's cute. 17:17 I remember we went to a little... 17:20 I call it the doll factory, 17:21 but it was like an open air market 17:24 with a whole bunch of the different dolls 17:25 that they would sell when we were there. 17:27 And these are key chains, adorable little dolls 17:30 and we will send you at home 17:33 for any size gift for 3ABN Russia. 17:35 We have some right now in the call center. 17:38 And as we mentioned earlier, 17:40 we're making another trip to Russia soon 17:42 and we will bring more back. 17:44 As you mentioned, Greg, this, 17:46 whatever you do to support the work in Russia, 17:49 it spreads the gospel 17:52 over the former Soviet Union and I think about, 17:54 since you've been on satellite talk to us a bit. 17:57 Greg was mentioning those statistics about... 17:59 Oh, it's exciting the growth. 18:00 The cable companies that now carry 18:02 and the cities that now have access 18:04 to hear the gospel. 18:06 Before we talk about statistics, 18:08 we have been visiting with Joe O'Brien, 18:10 who is in the pastoral department 18:12 here at 3ABN. 18:13 Beautiful work your pastoral department does. 18:15 Praise the Lord. 18:17 And you know, he has a map on the wall. 18:19 And we were talking about the signs of the end times 18:22 because he's very much interested in those things. 18:24 He collects the, you know, the information about this. 18:28 And then he said, look at that map. 18:31 And we looked at it, and then the guy said, 18:34 "Oh, 3ABN Russia satellites are not there." 18:37 So, you know, that map was in 2000. 18:42 It was from a magazine and it was 2011. 18:45 So in 20113ABN Russia was still not on satellite. 18:50 We got on satellite, 18:52 we were broadcast by some companies, 18:54 but never 24/7. 18:56 And then since November 2013, 19:00 they started testing from Israel on satellite 19:05 that was reached from Israel. 19:07 And so starting from that time, 19:11 we have continued first on that foreign satellite 19:14 and now we're on two Russian satellites 19:16 covering the full territory of Russia. 19:18 So we told Joe, "Joe, we need to update you." 19:21 Yes. We'll do that. 19:23 Your map. 19:24 And, you know, the prophecy is being fulfilled 19:28 just in front of our eyes as 3ABN 19:31 with three angels' messages reaches, you know, 19:34 the very recently uncovered territories. 19:37 I mean in 2011 and 12, like Russia, Siberia, 19:42 those huge territories was still uncovered. 19:45 So these prophecies are real unfolding 19:47 in front of our eyes. 19:48 Wow! 19:51 Yeah. 19:52 We just immediately said, "Joe, we need a marker." 19:55 Let us... 19:56 There you go. Yeah. 19:57 Let us draw on your map. 20:00 But then they sent him, you know, 20:02 more presentable information from our sources. 20:13 And Joe said the very interesting thing 20:16 when everyone in America goes to bed... 20:21 then Russia wakes up. 20:23 And thus, you know, the message never stops. 20:27 It keeps being preached. 20:29 Amen. 20:30 So what are some of the statistics of the growth 20:32 'cause this is just a phenomenal, so encouraging? 20:40 Yeah, we participated 20:42 in family worship with you guys. 20:43 Thank you for inviting us to participate 20:45 in American 3ABN program. 20:47 That was fun. 20:50 And our topic was God's miracles in our life. 21:02 When we talked and discuss this topic 21:06 a very strong thought, 21:08 a very big idea got into my mind. 21:17 And that idea was what a miracle it is 21:20 that a small group, a little bit over 20 people... 21:30 do such work under God's guidance. 21:41 That the whole of Russia, 21:43 the whole former Soviet Union Republics 21:46 and through the internet 21:47 the whole Russian speaking world 21:49 is covered with the three angels' messages 21:51 preached in Russia. 21:52 Praise God. Amen. 21:57 This would be impossible 21:58 without God's will for it to happen, 22:01 without 3ABN willing to fulfill God's will, 22:05 and without the viewers of 3ABN, 22:07 the friends and the family of 3ABN 22:10 who support this ministry in its outreach. 22:14 He's lovable God. Yeah. 22:16 Praise God. 22:18 Praise the Lord. 22:23 As we speak, there are 170 cable companies 22:28 re-broadcasting our satellite signal 22:30 24/7 around the clock. 22:32 One hundred and seventy? 22:33 One hundred and seventy. 22:35 That's incredible. 22:40 This is 526 cities of Russia. 22:46 And these are the ones that we know about 22:49 because there are many who may pick up our signal 22:53 from satellite without us even knowing about that 22:56 and, you know, we don't mind. 22:58 Not exactly. 22:59 You know what's amazing to me 'cause if I remember correctly, 23:01 your last report was a little over 400 cities. 23:04 And now here the next report is 526. 23:08 Yeah. So it's just... 23:09 I mean, this is quick growth. 23:11 It's amazing. 23:13 Yeah. Praise the Lord. 23:14 Amen. 23:16 And there were 118 cable companies 23:21 taking our signal. 23:23 Now it is 170. 23:25 Such a growth during one year. 23:31 Then there are 45 regional free-to-air stations, 23:34 they take some of our program. 23:38 We have five satellite channels. 23:40 Some of them are of other denominations 23:42 and some of them are secular 23:44 that takes some of our or part of our programs. 23:49 And at this time, 23:50 we are on six internet platforms 23:54 that are also around the clock. 24:00 And with the Lord's help, it just keeps growing, 24:03 the doors keep being open. 24:05 Praise the Lord. 24:07 Amen. What a miracle. 24:09 Yeah, you know, and the doors may not be open all the time. 24:14 It is very favorable time. 24:17 We say these things often. 24:20 It's very favorable time. 24:21 The doors are still open, but you know, 24:24 we are witnesses of things being closed, 24:28 being not available anymore, 24:31 as far as religious freedom so far it is available, 24:35 and so far the doors are open, 24:38 and we are so appreciative of 3ABN understanding it 24:41 because 3ABN has so many tasks. 24:43 It has so many areas where you can reach, 24:46 but you realize that the doors are open in Russia 24:50 and you want to encourage the people 24:53 who view us, who support 3ABN 24:56 just to keep helping 3ABN Russia. 24:59 Thank you so much. 25:07 Formerly evangelistic programs 25:10 in some stadiums, sports arenas, 25:14 they would collect or they would... 25:17 I mean bring thousands of people. 25:29 Now television and the internet are... 25:32 This is how it used to be in Russia. 25:34 And now television and internet is practically, 25:37 maybe practically the only way to get to people's homes. 25:39 Yes. Yeah. Very true. 25:41 Just people are more closed, the doors closed and, you know, 25:45 this is a way that you can go, 25:46 the gospel goes right into people's homes, 25:48 which is amazing. 25:51 Talk to us a moment about some of the programming 25:53 that you all produce? 25:55 I know we're talking about the reach of 3ABN Russia 25:59 and who can access it, but what about the programs? 26:01 What type of programs do you produce? 26:09 And I just want to say something too 26:11 'cause I get to monitor all the different channels 26:13 that 3ABN has in my office. 26:15 Yeah. And I can see them all. 26:16 And I get to see 26:17 some of the Russian programming there 26:19 and it looks really good. 26:21 You know, God has just done amazing things. 26:22 You guys do a great job. 26:24 And you said a small crew, 26:25 but it's just phenomenal quality. 26:28 And I wish I understood the language 26:30 because some of the programs I see like, 26:32 oh, I want to know what they're saying. 26:34 So I need to get my little translator thing out, 26:36 but what a blessing. 26:37 So yeah, speak to us on some of the programming? 26:39 Yeah. 26:40 Before I believe Daniil will speak about that. 26:42 Okay. Yes. 26:43 But I just wanted to say, you know, 26:45 I mean, God brings simple people to the ministry, 26:49 but they are willing and then He equips them 26:52 how to serve in the ministry in the capacity 26:55 that is really needed for it. 26:57 He gives talents, we are witnesses of that. 27:00 A person comes and we're not quite sure 27:03 what the person will be capable of doing 27:05 and then you know the talents needed 27:07 for God's ministry. 27:09 He gives willing people what they can do for Him. 27:13 Amen. Amen. 27:14 Good. 27:21 We try to cover and reach all the age groups. 27:31 There is a new program that has just been developed 27:34 and is only starting, it is called... 27:38 Well, I have to think 27:39 of how to translate that idiom into English. 27:43 It's something you won't believe it 27:45 or something like that. 27:46 Okay. 27:54 For the youth, we make new programs. 27:58 One of them is Pit Stop, one of them is Find Your Way, 28:01 one of them are small social videos. 28:07 For like social media? 28:08 No. Social videos is... 28:11 I don't know some topic like 28:12 relations between parents and children 28:15 and we call that social topics. 28:18 It's just how it's called there. 28:19 That makes sense. 28:20 Relationships, how to get along with people, yeah. 28:22 Yeah. That's right. 28:23 That's good. 28:30 And for older generation we develop new programs about, 28:34 you know, on the Bible and so on. 28:37 Yeah. 28:43 Angela works on editing a new series of program 28:46 that's called The Bible. 28:48 It's very, very interesting. 28:55 It is for those people 28:56 who want to learn more about the Bible, 28:58 about its history, about its translations, 29:03 about how it covers Russia and ex-Soviet Union, 29:07 about the organizations 29:09 that work on the translations and spreading of the Bibles. 29:13 Very, very interesting program. 29:23 This is so manifold... 29:28 as manifold. 29:30 I don't know, quiz, how to call the topic 29:33 that there will be many, many more series 29:36 and, yeah, it's good. 29:38 It just... 29:39 We have their stories from the Bible, 29:43 we have their poetry based on the Bible. 29:47 Wow! 29:48 So it consists of several segments. 29:49 Different facets. 29:51 Yeah. 29:54 And all of this is being presented 29:56 to us by specialists. 29:58 For example, by translators, by the workers of those, 30:03 you know, Bible Translation Institutes. 30:06 And that's good. 30:08 Not all of them are Adventists, 30:09 but there are so many people in the world 30:11 who want to study the Bible. 30:13 And now and who do study the Bible, 30:16 and now for a series of programs 30:18 to come from the Adventist point of view 30:21 and then giving this series to them, to those people 30:24 who are from other denominations. 30:26 It may help a lot, you know, 30:29 to deepen their knowledge of the Bible. 30:47 We also renovate our program that we used to have, 30:52 it's always been very popular in Russia. 30:54 It's on gardening. 30:55 It is on Mittleiders, if you have heard about 30:57 that Mittleider's method of gardening with tall, 31:01 I know you make those... Well, you're busy. 31:26 Lots of editing. 31:36 And from our most recent ideas 31:39 is we know there are... 31:44 God gives all those talents. 31:46 And there are people who, you know, 31:47 who are so good in poetry in, you know, in songwriting 31:51 and we have decided to have a special series 31:54 which is called the Author's Poetry. 31:58 And so we just invite people who have gifts in that, 32:02 who have their own poetry 32:03 and we're developing a set for that, 32:05 we are not finished with that yet. 32:06 Are they going to recite poetry or actually sing as in... 32:10 They are going to recite poetry. 32:12 Yeah, it... 32:16 It is only a little part of different kinds of program. 32:37 On the... 32:39 the total we have 135 series of different programs 32:43 that are on the air. 32:44 Wow! Oh, yes. 33:02 This year we have made 400 radio programs. 33:11 And we have a little anniversary 33:16 because a little double anniversary 33:20 because we have taped our 10,000th video program 33:25 and we have recorded our 10,000th radio program. 33:28 Wow! Praise the Lord. 33:32 So, and we have passed 10,000 programs. 33:34 Oh, yeah. Praise the Lord. 33:36 That's a huge accomplishment. 33:38 You know I think about, you know, here the... 33:39 I want to say the young people 33:41 and even adults here in United States 33:44 and I can say I'm sure all parts of the world, 33:45 you know, there's a lot of distractions. 33:47 Yeah. 33:48 So how is it there in Russia's, 33:50 I'm going to just to speak to young people 33:51 then far as the young people 33:53 are there a lot of distractions for them? 33:55 But are you... 33:56 I'm sure there are, but you can answer that. 33:58 But then also are you hearing from any of them 34:01 as 3ABN Russia making an impact to the young people 34:04 there in Russia through the programming. 34:40 We understand that 34:42 we shouldn't only develop our video programs for youth, 34:47 but we also want to be very active in social media. 34:51 That's good. 34:55 And the main feedback that we get 34:58 is through the internet. 35:00 Yeah, for the young people, from the young people. 35:01 Yes, from the young people. 35:08 And in most cases that feedback doesn't come 35:12 from the church members, 35:13 it comes from people who are not into... 35:16 Outside... Yeah. 35:17 So you have secular people 35:19 who are watching and listening to the program. 35:20 Yeah. 35:30 Because we try to orient our program or to... 35:36 How's it called? 35:38 We just want to reach people who don't know about God. 35:41 Yes. 35:47 So our main, our intention is for the young people 35:51 who don't know God yet, who are not in church. 35:55 Well, that's great. 35:57 Social media is a powerful tool as well. 35:58 Yes. 36:02 Yeah. 36:04 Social media is where the youth is all the time. 36:15 Probably young people 36:16 don't watch just regular television 36:19 because they want to choose what they want to see 36:22 and they want to be able to correspond, 36:27 to respond to what they see, 36:28 to hear feedback, like to hear some answers. 36:33 And this is why we try to develop social media 36:36 for their sake. 36:37 It's so important. 36:39 You know, you think about 36:40 the impact 3ABN Russia has on the people. 36:42 The young people, and the middle aged, 36:44 and the older who hear it, 36:46 but what about the impact it's made in your own lives? 36:49 How has working at 3ABN Russia maybe changed you? 36:54 Or how has it grown you in your own relationship 36:57 and walk with God? 36:59 Let's start with Angie. 37:16 Before I started working at 3ABN... 37:22 I was involved in the church 37:26 as in the church ministry. 37:36 And the time came when it was too hard for me, 37:39 you know, to be involved in the church activities. 37:47 Because even when you're active, 37:49 the church members are not active enough. 37:51 There is too little support from the church 37:54 in what you are doing. 37:57 When I came to work at 3ABN Russia... 38:01 When I saw how people interact with one another... 38:07 It inspired me 38:09 how they are on fire for the Lord. 38:12 It inspired me very much. 38:16 I can read and we do it at morning worship, 38:19 we try to share 38:21 the good comments that people send 38:22 because it motivates us so much. 38:23 Oh, yes. 38:25 Yeah, when we read the letters on a... 38:34 And we see there that people watch our programs 38:39 that people are excited 38:41 that their hearts are reached with our programs. 38:45 And we see that they look for God. 38:57 And I can see that by my ministry at 3ABN 39:02 and I continue to minister 39:04 in church as a layperson. 39:08 I can see that I can give something 39:10 to the people that they are really need of. 39:19 Several years ago probably 10 or 7 years ago... 39:23 I was a very introverted person. 39:27 I was very home person. 39:34 I only did children's pages in church, nothing else. 39:44 And I felt sad, having been born 39:46 into an Adventist family, I felt sad 39:49 that I'm not involved in ministry. 39:50 Wow! 39:53 And I didn't, but I was scared to get out of my comfort zone. 40:07 And Daniil helped me because he knew 40:10 that I was interested in photography 40:12 and he helped me get out 40:14 of that familiar circle of activities 40:17 into something bigger. 40:27 And so I started being more active in church 40:29 and I'm very active at 3ABN Russia, 40:32 so yeah, my life has changed. 40:43 I'm happy now 40:45 that I'm filled with life now 40:49 because something, you know, boils, 40:52 something like boils in me. 40:54 And there's a purpose too. 40:55 And I think we all need purpose in life too, 40:57 there's a real purpose. 40:58 Yeah. Wow! Praise God. 41:00 That is a powerful testimony. 41:01 Amen. 41:04 How about you Daniil? 41:14 My way to God is rather lengthy. 41:20 I'm a pastor's kid 41:22 and I was baptized when I was 15. 41:30 That was my personal conviction. 41:34 But I was always supervised by my family. 41:50 And there was a period in my life, 41:53 I was already working at 3ABN Russia 41:56 when I kind of cowed towards church, 42:00 I was not impressed to attend it to, 42:05 you know, to be involved in it. 42:17 And when I worked at 3ABN Russia, 42:20 being technical, 42:22 one of the pastors from one church 42:23 gave me a certain technical task. 42:43 I realized that I have a potential 42:46 that I could be helpful, 42:47 at the time I was not a video director, 42:49 I was a camera person. 42:56 And I didn't even dream of becoming a video director. 43:01 I thought of myself just of a technical person. 43:18 And then having been given that task from a pastor, 43:21 I realized that God 43:23 is expecting something from me 43:25 that He has a purpose for me 43:27 and that I can be helpful that I'm needed. 43:36 Yeah, after a certain period of time, 43:39 I started being responsible for broadcast, 43:41 for live broadcasting of church services. 43:50 Now I help with broadcasting from one more church. 44:05 And the fact that I'm able to help churches 44:09 is because I'm inspired by my work at 3ABN. 44:12 I have got a lot of expertise at 3ABN 44:15 and I have got a lot of inspiration, 44:18 a lot of purpose at 3ABN 44:20 to be able to involve in the churches. 44:31 So now my ministry is the week... 44:35 the working week I work at 3ABN Russia 44:37 and then the weekend I help... 44:40 The church. 44:41 Yeah, I help the church with broadcasting. 44:43 Wow. 44:55 It is not just some part of my life activities. 45:01 I get so many blessings from them. 45:03 Amen. 45:34 So the Lord has put me into kind of a position 45:37 when I'm both at 3ABN and in church, 45:41 and when I deal with the people in church, 45:43 I tell them about 3ABN. 45:45 When I go travel to places, I tell them about 3ABN. 45:48 Then some of them come to tape as guests, 45:53 some of them come just to see what 3ABN is doing. 45:55 So this is a certain position where the Lord has put him. 45:58 Amen. 46:10 And whenever church asks me to go 46:13 to tape something somewhere, 46:14 I always have in mind that I may use that material 46:19 in certain 3ABN programs. 46:23 So my main ministry is 3ABN. 46:26 Amen. 46:27 But God uses both. 46:29 I mean, you know 3ABN and the church 46:31 and you're able to minister them both. 46:32 What about you, Vadim? 46:33 I know we're getting toward the end of the program, 46:35 but what about you? 46:38 3ABN is my life. 46:45 I cannot imagine my life without working at 3ABN. 46:51 What we do is God's work. 46:56 It needs to continue and continue. 47:06 And we have this opportunity to talk to people about God, 47:10 and this is the task that is given to us 47:12 to tell people about God. 47:17 So I want to work with you as long as, you know, 47:22 until the Lord comes. 47:23 Well, the same here. 47:25 Oh, we want to work with you all too as much. 47:27 And can we ask Julia? 47:29 I know you're translating a good deal here, 47:31 but how has working at 3ABN Russia, 47:35 how has that changed your life? 47:37 You know, 47:40 3ABN is nurturing me in such a way 47:44 that I get to know God deeper and deeper. 47:48 It is through 3ABN's programming 47:50 that I love, it is through... 47:52 I love to watch that in Russia, in English. 47:55 And it is through 3ABN's hosts, 47:58 it is through 3ABN's administration, 48:01 it is sincere Christian leadership 48:06 of Danny, of Mollie. 48:08 She's retired now. 48:09 Of Greg and Jill, you guys now. 48:12 You know, of such wonderful people. 48:15 You don't say one things, 48:18 none of you say one things on the camera 48:20 and then lead a different life outside of the studio. 48:26 No, you are all for real. 48:27 And you're an example to me. 48:29 Jill said that I'm her mentor 48:30 probably it is because of my age. 48:32 But I'm learning from you. 48:34 I get enthusiasm from you, 48:37 I get encouragement from you 48:39 for my leadership there in Russia. 48:41 I know that this ministry helps me 48:45 to grow in Jesus. 48:47 Amen. 48:49 We appreciate your leadership. 48:50 You know, I know that life hasn't been easy. 48:54 You know, as you lead out there, 48:56 you've had some tragedies, you know, 48:57 happen in your personal life and things, 48:59 but God has been there by your side, 49:01 and you're a testimony, 49:03 a testament to someone such as yourself 49:06 that has hung on to God even in the tough times. 49:09 Do you have a word for someone at home 49:11 that maybe is in the midst of a tough time right now, 49:13 a struggle of wilderness, a desert experience? 49:17 You know, my testimony is trust the Lord, 49:21 no matter what happens in your life. 49:25 There is not a single thing that God allows 49:29 to happen in our lives 49:31 that won't be for our good. 49:33 Even though temporarily 49:35 it may seem painful, it may seem unfair, 49:41 it may seem strange, you know, 49:44 when we start seeing the huge picture, 49:47 the big picture that God sees 49:49 and that God is in control of, 49:53 then I'm sure that this parable is true 49:56 that when we meet God face to face 49:59 and when He shows us all the other ways 50:02 that we could have taken, 50:04 and He would lead us through all those ways, 50:07 He would be by our side no matter where we go, 50:10 but we will tell Him, 50:11 "Thank you, Lord, for leading me this way. 50:13 Thank you, Lord, for taking me all the way through." 50:16 Isn't that amazing?
