00:01 - As you have heard and seen, the missions and
00:04 the ministry among the Navajo people is a high 00:06 priority. And once again, I reiterate: we're not 00:09 talking about going overseas; we're talking about right 00:12 here in the United States of America-a nation within 00:15 a nation. I want to also bring up that last slide 00:17 we had; it's a really amazing comparison. 00:21 Just explain that to us. There's one more slide 00:23 that had the statistical- look at that. Papua New 00:26 Guinea, 1 in 36 is an Adventist. - Yes. That 00:29 is the ratio of Adventist to non-Adventist, and some 00:34 of the places that we would typically talk about is being 00:38 a mission, that we would want to go and serve, and... 00:40 - And Navajo, 1 out of 900. Wow - the ratio. "What 00:45 would you consider to be a mission's"... I mean, 00:48 that's huge! That's right here in America. You know, 00:50 those beautiful red rocks... As you're appealing to the 00:54 viewers and listeners of the program, Nancy, kind 00:56 of give us a push there and I'll give Pastor 00:59 an opportunity... 15-20 seconds. What would you 01:01 say to those who are watching and listening 01:02 to the program to get them stoked about participating 01:06 in this mission? - I would say that this is a needy 01:10 area within our own country that you can come and just... 01:15 The rewards are great. I just want to tell you- 01:18 to see those little children and have them come and 01:20 hug you and say, "I love you! Thank you for the 01:22 food that you cooked for me!" It just breaks my 01:25 heart every time-melts it! Melts it every time 01:28 they come and say, "Thank you for the food that you 01:30 cooked for us!" And the rewards are great. The 01:34 rewards are great. - Pastor, 20 seconds. - The thought 01:39 that comes to my mind is that there is a people 01:41 that is really open here to spiritual things, and 01:45 for them to actually accept it is going to 01:47 take a long time...but we need people that 01:50 are willing to commit. So the text that says 01:53 to pray that the Lord of the harvest will send forth 01:56 the laborers to the harvest... We need to be praying that 01:58 prayer for the Navajo people. [Amen.] - Dr. 02:01 Brown, 15 seconds! - Yes, sir. - What could you tell 02:04 us? - Listen-this is an amazing blessed ministry. 02:09 It's not easy work, but it's essential work and 02:12 we're asking God to bless this work. We're committed 02:16 as Nevada-Utah Conference to this work, and that's the 02:18 thing I need to let everyone know. We're committed to 02:21 it, but we need help- workers to be able 02:23 to come and help us. - Well, as you've heard 02:24 the appeal, you know what to do with the 02:26 address that you've been given.
