00:01 I want to spend my life
00:07 Mending broken people 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Removing pain 00:24 Lord, let my words 00:30 Heal a heart that hurts 00:34 I want to spend my life 00:40 Mending broken people 00:46 I want to spend my life 00:51 Mending broken people 01:09 Hello, and welcome to another 3ABN Today program. 01:12 I'm so glad that you could join us 01:15 for this very important topic 01:17 entitled "Everlasting Gospel Project." 01:20 And we're going to find out so much more about that 01:24 in just a little bit. 01:25 Here with me to discuss this is Mike Pathel, Pethel, sorry, 01:30 Mike Pethel, founder and director of 01:33 Everlasting Gospel Project. 01:35 Cathy Pethel who is an RN and the health ministry leader 01:40 of the Everlasting Gospel Project. 01:42 And Stacie Hirsch, the marketing director 01:45 of the Everlasting Gospel Project. 01:47 Welcome to the 3ABN Today program. 01:49 Thank you. Thank you. 01:51 You're welcome. Good to be here. 01:52 It's good to have you guys here, 01:54 and I'm looking forward to diving 01:55 deeper into the Everlasting Gospel Project, 01:58 what it's all about, 01:59 a little bit about your background 02:01 and all of that. 02:02 But before we jump into the meat of the interview, 02:05 we're going to be blessed in song. 02:07 And this song is by Mary Grace 02:10 and it's entitled "We Shall Behold Him." 07:15 Wow! 07:16 What an amazing gift that God has blessed her with! 07:21 You know, what is the Everlasting Gospel Project? 07:27 What is that about, Mike? 07:29 Well, I'm a retired pastor. 07:34 And during my ministry, 07:39 God revealed to me that He wanted a shorter series 07:43 on unpacking the Three Angels' Messages. 07:47 And so I call this project Everlasting Gospel. 07:52 And I'm kind of the founder and director of this ministry 07:57 called Project Everlasting Gospel. 07:59 Okay. 08:01 And so you're retired SDA pastor, 08:04 and then you founded this ministry. 08:05 When did you found? 08:07 When did you start this ministry, I should say? 08:09 Well, actually, about 15 years before I retired, 08:12 I started, catching all of my Bible studies 08:16 with people through the elements 08:19 of the Three Angels' Messages. 08:20 I noticed in Revelation 14:6-16, 08:24 that the main elements of salvation, 08:29 the gospel, creation, and intercession of God 08:35 was all right there. 08:36 And so that's really all the main elements. 08:40 And so I began to use that as my Bible study format. 08:45 And then later, of course, the last couple years, 08:49 we've put it into these little booklets 08:52 so that other people can also use those. 08:55 Okay. 08:57 And, Cathy, what about you? 08:59 Well, I'm a registered nurse 09:02 and worked for years in the hospital and have, 09:05 I've did for years, 09:06 I've been doing health seminars. 09:09 And so what we're doing now is, 09:12 I'm focusing on a companion guides 09:14 to the Three Angels, 09:17 perhaps God's Project Everlasting Gospel. 09:20 So that we can focus on how we give glory to God. 09:24 And so we're working on that's depending on God 09:27 we're working on right now. 09:28 Nice, nice. 09:30 And, Stacie? 09:31 Yes, I'm Stacie Hirsch, and I'm the marketing director 09:34 for the Project Everlasting Gospel, 09:35 and we want to get this out into all the world. 09:38 And that's why we're here. 09:40 And so you're here to let people know about it. 09:41 Let people know about it. 09:43 That's right. That's right. 09:44 So what is the overall mission? 09:49 The mission is to simplify 09:53 the everlasting gospel, 09:55 the Three Angels' Messages to simplify it. 09:58 A lot of Bible studies that have been produced 10:00 are 25, 32 series. 10:05 And I found that a lot of people drop off 10:07 after a number of early studies like five or six. 10:12 So if we simplify it, make it succinct, 10:16 which means clear and concise, 10:19 then maybe we'll keep people interest through 10:22 getting the main message 10:24 of the Three Angels' Messages across to them. 10:27 So we're dedicated to simplifying it. 10:30 You know, in the age we live in, 10:32 we're in a information revolution 10:36 that people are bombarded with, 10:39 you know, internet, social media. 10:41 So we need to get the Three Angels' Messages 10:44 needs to be clear and more concise. 10:48 And that's what we're trying to do. 10:50 Okay. 10:52 And why is it so important 10:54 to proclaim the Three Angels' Messages? 10:57 Well, because it's God's last message if I may, 11:01 I think it would be good to read. 11:04 And let me first read Matthew 24:14. 11:10 It says, "And this gospel of the kingdom 11:13 will be preached in all the world 11:15 as a witness to all the nations, 11:17 and then the end will come." 11:20 That's the final one of the signs 11:23 that Jesus gave to His disciples. 11:26 We're living in a time that Jesus foretold would come 11:29 and He told His disciples, 11:31 concerning the signs of the end of the world 11:33 and His coming again. 11:35 And in Matthew Chapter 24, 11:37 we find and I've made them concise right here. 11:41 He said, "You shall hear of wars, 11:44 nation shall rise against nation, 11:46 there should be famines, diseases, earthquakes, 11:50 false prophets shall arise and deceive many, 11:53 iniquity shall abound, 11:56 the love of many shall wax cold." 11:58 And so this sounds a lot like 12:00 what's going on in the world today, doesn't it? 12:03 And then Jesus also said 12:05 this was one of the signs of the end. 12:07 He told His disciples, 12:09 "And this gospel of the kingdom 12:11 again will be preached in all the world 12:13 as a witness to all the nations, 12:15 and then the end will come." 12:17 You find that there's three major points to that. 12:20 The gospel is the good news of salvation through Jesus. 12:25 And then the second thing is this goes into 12:28 all the world is universal. 12:32 And thirdly, it's an end time message. 12:35 Those three elements are actually found 12:38 in the Three Angels' Messages. 12:40 Okay. If I might share that with us. 12:42 Yeah. 12:43 Let me turn over to 12:45 Revelation 14:6-16. 12:49 And I'll just read this because a lot of people may not know 12:53 what the Three Angels' Messages are. 12:56 And we're going to read it 12:58 right out of the Book of Revelation, 13:00 the end time book. 13:02 Revelation 14:6, starting in verse 6. 13:05 "Then I saw another angel flying 13:07 in the midst of heaven, 13:09 having the everlasting gospel to preach to those 13:12 who dwell on the earth, 13:13 to every nation, tribe, tongue and people, 13:16 saying with a loud voice, 13:18 'Fear God and give glory to Him, 13:21 for the hour of His judgment has come 13:24 and worship Him who made heaven and earth, 13:26 and the sea and the springs of water.'" 13:28 So that's the first angel, 13:30 the elements in there you might not have noticed it, 13:33 but let me reiterate. 13:35 There are three things we find in this, 13:38 actually, four points here. 13:40 Everlasting gospel would be that's 13:45 talking about Jesus the Savior. 13:48 And the judgment has come. 13:50 He's our intercessor. 13:51 And the Bible says, 13:53 "All judgment has been given to Him." 13:55 And then it says, 13:57 "Fear God and give glory to Him." 13:59 So giving glory to Him is a major bullet point here. 14:04 And then it says at the end of verse 7, 14:07 "Worship Him who made heaven and earth, 14:09 the sea and the springs of water." 14:12 And so the point of this is that 14:16 Jesus came down to this earth in human form. 14:20 He was with God, the Father and the Holy Spirit. 14:24 And He came down to this earth to show us 14:27 what God was like and live in the human flesh, 14:33 and He served, and then He died, 14:37 He was crucified, and then He was resurrected. 14:41 He was buried and resurrected, 14:43 and He's interceding in our behalf in heaven. 14:45 And He's coming back as King. 14:48 And so the first angel really is 14:52 like a proclamation of who Jesus is. 14:54 The world needs to see that He's the Savior. 14:57 That's the good news. 14:58 The good news in, 15:01 if I might just go to 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 15:06 I guess this would kind of... 15:07 We'll move them back to the, 15:09 finish the Three Angels' Messages, okay? 15:10 Okay. Okay. 15:12 So it says, "Moreover, brethren," 15:14 the Apostle Paul said, 15:16 "I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, 15:20 which also you received and in which you stand, 15:24 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word 15:29 which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 15:34 For I delivered to you first of all 15:36 that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins. 15:41 And according to the scriptures, 15:44 and that He was buried, 15:45 and that He rose again the third day 15:48 according to the scriptures." 15:50 So that's the good news. 15:52 He came, He was crucified for our sins, 15:57 and He rose again, the third day. 15:59 And so that we too 16:01 if we accept Jesus as our Savior, 16:03 that's good news. 16:04 We can have eternal life 16:06 and rise with Him too when we die, 16:08 we can rise again when He comes back. 16:11 Yes, that eternal life is way 16:14 better than the life that we have right now. 16:16 That's for sure. Way better. 16:17 I'm so excited. 16:18 Now, continuing on, 16:21 if I might read the second and the third angel here. 16:24 in verse 8, Revelation 14:8, 16:27 "And another angel followed, saying, 16:30 'Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, 16:33 because she has made all nations drink 16:35 of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.'" 16:38 We can find by reading 16:40 the Book of Daniel 7:25, 16:47 we find the characteristics of this spiritual application 16:51 of who Babylon is in the end time. 16:54 "And then the third angel followed them, 16:57 saying with a loud voice, 17:00 'If anyone worships the beast and his image, 17:02 and receive his mark on his forehead or his hand, 17:06 he himself shall also drink 17:08 of the wine of the wrath of God, 17:10 which is poured out full strength 17:12 into the cup of His indignation.'" 17:15 So we find here, these Three Angels' Messages, 17:20 if you break it down, 17:22 it's really a presentation of who Christ is. 17:25 And then there's a warning of an Antichrist, a false... 17:29 Jesus said in Matthew 24, that there will be false Christ 17:33 and false prophets. 17:35 So and He also elaborates on this as it identifying 17:39 as a spiritual application to Babylon. 17:43 And then warning about the final decision, 17:47 actually be between who are we going to decide for, 17:50 is it Jesus or we going to go 17:53 for the world or the anti Jesus? 17:55 Then everyone will need to make a decision, 17:59 either, be sealed by God and be saved 18:01 or to be marked and be lost. 18:04 And then Jesus comes back as a result of that. 18:07 So that's in a nutshell, 18:09 the Three Angels' Messages in the Bible. 18:12 Now, and thank you for sharing that. 18:15 Why are you so passionate about 18:17 proclaiming the Three Angels' Messages? 18:19 Where does that stem from? 18:20 If I might just give you 18:22 a little brief outline of my life. 18:24 When I was 13 years old, 18:26 we were raised in a denomination 18:30 where we went to church every Sunday. 18:33 And two ladies 18:35 from the Seventh-day Adventist Church 18:38 came by and offered Bible studies with my mom. 18:41 They came once a week and we studied the Bible. 18:45 And then at the end of those studies, 18:49 they had some meetings, 18:51 George Van Dam, and it was the pastor, 18:54 evangelist and he came 18:56 and had some meetings in Atlanta. 18:58 And my mom and I 18:59 joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 19:01 And so that passion, 19:03 actually the Three Angels' Messages was conveyed to us, 19:07 the elements of there, 19:09 that this message was going to go 19:11 into all the world. 19:12 And we wanted to accept Jesus as our Savior, 19:15 the good news of the gospel, 19:17 and then help join up with a group of Christians 19:23 that are proclaiming 19:24 this final message to the world. 19:26 We felt like we were being enlisted into that mission. 19:31 God's army. God's army. 19:33 And then my dad too, and when I was 20 years old, 19:38 I got drafted during the Vietnam War into the army. 19:42 And after basic training in medical training, 19:48 I came down on orders to go to Vietnam as a combat medic. 19:52 Oh, wow! 19:53 And basically I had 11 days. 19:58 I was to clear post the next day 20:00 and then have 10 days off 20:02 and then report back to go to Vietnam 20:04 as a combat medical foreman. 20:07 Wow. 20:09 And I prayed, I said, "Lord, if You want me to go." 20:13 I was a believer. 20:14 I wasn't really a churchgoer at that time. 20:18 But I believed in God, 20:19 and I believed in His final message 20:21 in the gospel. 20:23 And I promised the Lord, I said, "Lord, 20:25 if You want me to go to Vietnam, 20:27 I'll go and if you want me to go." 20:29 But I kind of asked Him, would you please work it out 20:33 where I don't have to go. 20:35 And Cathy, 20:38 my wife lost her mom when she was 15. 20:42 She lost her dad at 18. 20:44 And now she's 19 married to me 20:47 and I might go to Vietnam and lose my life. 20:50 And so I used that as kind of my ace in the hole to God. 20:55 Maybe God will listen if I say, "Hey, how about Cathy?" 21:00 And so what happened was I won't go into details, 21:04 but I got taken off orders 21:08 the day before I was to clear post. 21:10 I'm 11 days from Vietnam. 21:12 God really wanted him to know this was His doing. 21:14 Yes. Yes. 21:15 He wanted him to know nobody else did that but Him, 21:17 He saved him. 21:19 Amen. 21:20 But the key that, I've always liked hearing 21:23 is that he said, 21:24 "If you get me off orders, 21:26 I'll serve You for the rest of my life." 21:28 And God... 21:30 Yeah, that's... That's beautiful. 21:32 And so that was a big part of my life. 21:36 Obviously, Jesus saved me for eternity. 21:42 But He also does things for us in this life. 21:46 So He got me off orders. 21:48 When I got out of the Army, I began, my wife and I, 21:53 Cathy decided we were gonna be a dogged Christians. 21:56 We're gonna go to church and we're gonna be involved 21:58 in Christian world. 22:00 So I got so involved in things, evangelistic meetings, 22:04 study with people that I decided 22:10 this is the only thing I'm interested in. 22:12 And so God drafted me into His army, so to speak. 22:15 Amen. 22:17 I became a literature evangelist 22:18 for two years. 22:20 And then I didn't wanna be a pastor, 22:21 but God kind of work that out where 22:27 He was able to call me when I was ready. 22:29 And so went back to school and studied to be a pastor 22:32 and became a pastor for 41 years and recently... 22:37 So this is my passion for getting 22:43 into teaching the gospel, 22:46 seeing that it goes into all the world, 22:47 doing what I can as a believer in that mission 22:53 of spreading the gospel and the Three Angels' Messages 22:55 into all the world. 22:57 And hastening His coming as we just read. 22:58 Yes, yes. 23:00 Now where does your passion stem from? 23:03 Well, my passion stems... 23:04 Well, basically, I had an experience where, 23:08 you know, he mentioned that 23:09 I had lost my mother when I was 15. 23:13 And I could have easily gotten involved in spiritualism 23:17 because I believed at the time 23:18 that you just went off into heaven or wherever 23:21 and I didn't know where she was. 23:22 And I was praying and asking God, 23:24 "Could I communicate with her?" 23:26 And someone at school was saying, 23:30 "Well, you know, they were having a seance 23:32 and things like that, and I'm like, 23:34 "Oh, maybe I could talk to my mother." 23:36 And I prayed and asked the Lord 23:37 and so instead of 23:39 getting involved in spiritualism, 23:41 He gave me the truth. 23:43 So at 17, I joined the church. 23:46 And so we've had a passion, you know, 23:48 for sharing the gospel and losing both parents, 23:52 actually, I lost my father at 18. 23:55 So involved in health and I went back 23:57 after having three children and became a registered nurse. 24:00 And along with Mike after he became a pastor 24:03 having done health ministries and part of our mission there, 24:08 it says, Giving Glory to God. 24:10 And we'll get into that a little bit more. 24:12 Okay. Okay. 24:14 And, Stacie, what about you? 24:17 Yes. 24:18 Well, I'm a speech pathologist 24:22 and wanted to work with people 24:24 and wanted to get involved with the ministry because, 24:28 you know, dad has done a good job 24:31 of passing on the passion to us 24:33 and wanting to spread the good news of the gospel 24:37 and heal the sick. 24:39 And also, I've combined those things 24:42 and I actually did therapeutic course back writing 24:45 and combining that with speech therapy 24:47 and also the healing so, 24:50 and then we've been preaching along this with Sabbath schools 24:54 and individual lessons 24:56 and also in groups step Bible studies. 24:58 Nice. Nice. 25:00 And now you're the marketing director? 25:01 Now, I'm the marketing director. 25:03 That's amazing. That is amazing. 25:05 Now, we also wanna outline some of the study guides 25:09 that you have, but we have a couple videos 25:13 that we need to go to first 25:15 and then we'll get to the study guide video. 25:17 Who wants to introduce the first video? 25:20 Well, I think this video is my son, 25:23 Tim Pethel is a videographer. 25:26 And I asked him to put together a little video 25:30 showing how we took this 10 study guides 25:35 out of the Three Angels' Messages 25:38 and made study called 25:42 Three Angels and The Apocalypse. 25:44 And the titles, you'll see the titles 25:46 come out of the Bible there on this video. 25:49 Hopefully, it will be helpful to see 25:51 what it is. 25:52 Okay. 29:12 Wow! 29:14 Now you brought some study guides with you. 29:17 Why don't you walk us through, show us the study guides, 29:20 hold them up and walk us through 29:23 each one of those? 29:24 Okay. Briefly summarize. 29:26 Okay. 29:29 The series is called 29:30 Three Angels and The Apocalypse. 29:33 Okay. And this is the... 29:34 The first study is actually 29:36 an overview of all the 10 29:40 and this particular study just walks people 29:44 through the idea of what's coming. 29:47 And it doesn't go into details 29:48 because we want this to be an introduction. 29:52 There might be someone that's not even a Christian. 29:56 And this introduces to them the idea that 30:00 God has a last message in the last book, 30:03 in the heart of the Book of Revelation. 30:06 So this kind of introduces that. 30:08 So that's number one. Okay. 30:11 Then the first angel, as we studied earlier, 30:15 really reveals who Jesus is. 30:18 The everlasting gospel is Jesus is the Savior. 30:22 And all of what that means the gospel, 30:27 how to be saved? 30:28 How do we walk with Jesus? 30:30 How do we give our lives to Him? 30:34 And that's the second one. 30:36 The third study, where it says judgment has come. 30:40 A lot of people are afraid of the judgment. 30:43 But I put the positive side of the judgment in here 30:47 because all judgments been given to Him. 30:52 There's three verses in the New Testament, 30:54 it tells us that 30:56 the Father has given this to Him. 30:58 He's the judge and He's the intercessor. 31:02 And so He's interceding in our behalf. 31:04 What's He been doing for 2000 years? 31:06 Interceding... Praise the Lord. 31:08 Sending His Holy Spirit 31:10 that the Holy Spirit to work with us. 31:13 And so Jesus is judge and all judgment. 31:16 There's a pre-advent or investigative judgment 31:20 that is going on now because Revelation 22:14 tells us that 31:25 when Jesus comes back, His reward will be with Him 31:28 to give to every man. 31:30 So this judgment is mentioned in here. 31:33 Okay. Okay. 31:34 And then the third aspect of Jesus here 31:38 is that He's the Savior. 31:39 I mean, He's the Creator. 31:42 A lot of people don't think about this. 31:44 But imagine how strong that is that the creator 31:47 came in our human flesh and walked upon earth 31:52 and modeled who God was and His love for us. 31:57 And then He was sent to the cross 32:00 and He died for our sins. 32:03 He was buried, was resurrected and went back to heaven. 32:08 And so this, this tells about Him 32:10 as the creator that came down. 32:13 Actually, I tie this in 32:17 with the idea of what the Bible says, 32:20 how we worship God. 32:21 The Bible tells us how to worship God, 32:24 through keeping a day holy, once a week in the Sabbath. 32:28 And this points out that how you tie Jesus 32:31 in with the Sabbath. 32:32 Seventh day Sabbath. Seventh day Sabbath. 32:35 Now the second angel really is revealed, Babylon, 32:39 who is Babylon? 32:41 So this goes into ancient Babylon 32:43 and how spiritual Babylon in the end time, 32:45 how we identify who that is. 32:48 We find that out through Daniel 2, Daniel 7, 32:53 the image in Daniel 2, the beast in Daniel 7 32:56 and then the characteristics in Daniel 7:25. 33:00 This is all in here to identify 33:02 who that system is in the last days. 33:06 It tells who the Antichrist is? 33:08 Yes, it tells who the Antichrist is. 33:11 And then this particular study, this is number six. 33:14 This tells us what the Antichrist teaches, 33:17 as opposed to what Jesus teaches 33:21 from His Word and how the Antichrist system 33:24 has counterfeited that and confused. 33:28 That's why the wine, this is talking about the wine. 33:32 This is a glass of wine, a cup of wine. 33:35 And my son David Pethel is a graphic designer, 33:41 and he used this. 33:43 He designed these studies and I appreciate 33:47 what he did there. 33:48 So then we have the mark of the beast, 33:51 the first two angels there. 33:54 The third angel warns against 33:58 putting the Antichrist ahead of Jesus. 34:01 He's the Christ, He's the Savior. 34:03 If we accept Him as our Savior will be sealed, 34:06 so to speak, will sealed or saved. 34:10 But if not, if we reject Him and we accept the world 34:13 and this world's power that Satan is using, 34:17 will be marked. 34:19 And so this opposite in the Book of Revelation, 34:22 we have the seal and the mark. 34:24 Is that the mark of the beast people talk about all the time? 34:26 Yes, it is. 34:27 And this is why it's important in the end time. 34:31 This is why we have such a passion, 34:35 spreading the Three Angels' Message 34:36 around the world because we need to be sealed by Jesus, 34:41 by the Holy Spirit 34:43 and avoid the mark of the beast. 34:44 Yes. 34:46 And then what happens out of that, 34:47 the good news that comes out of that is 34:50 God will have a people that is identified 34:53 in Revelation 14:12 as those that 34:55 keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. 34:59 And that's what this study's about God's final church. 35:04 The number nine, 35:08 after the Three Angels' Message goes in all the world, 35:11 we find that Jesus comes back 35:14 in Revelation 14:14. 35:18 He comes back, He has a crown on His head, 35:21 and He's coming with a sickle. 35:23 That means He's the King of kings 35:25 and Lord of lords. 35:27 And the sickle represents the harvest. 35:30 So He's coming back. 35:31 And that's what this study is about. 35:33 There's actually seven doctrines 35:36 or teachings in this particular study, 35:39 we have the second coming 35:42 and goes into the secret rapture about that. 35:47 It tells what's gonna happen before the millennium, 35:50 during it and after. 35:53 And so there's... 35:54 When you say it goes into the secret rapture, 35:57 unpack that part we've been talking about... 35:59 Yeah. 36:00 Well, it just, a lot of people are familiar with this idea 36:05 that He's gonna rapture the church out of the world 36:08 before the tribulation. 36:10 And this study deals with that. 36:13 So it tells the truth? 36:16 It kind of clarifies about the secret rapture. 36:18 I just wanna bring that out. 36:20 We don't think that you're promoting that. 36:23 Yeah. Clarifies it. 36:25 Yeah. 36:26 And, of course, the idea, 36:28 the state of the dead's in here, 36:32 heaven and the new earth and hell. 36:35 So this has seven teachings in it 36:39 that actually is all grouped. 36:41 If you think about it, 36:42 all these are all grouped together 36:43 because it tells what's gonna happen 36:46 before during and after the millennium. 36:48 Okay. 36:49 The final study, 36:51 really after a person makes a decision 36:54 after they see that Jesus is the Savior 36:56 avoid the Antichrist and be sealed 37:00 then once they give their life to Jesus, 37:04 He comes and walks with Him, 37:05 He gives us His Holy Spirit to live. 37:08 And then fruits of the Spirit start to appear. 37:13 And then He gives us spiritual gifts to serve Him. 37:18 This goes into discipleship. 37:20 After that takes place, it goes into being a steward. 37:24 And even this goes into a healthy diet. 37:28 Okay. 37:29 Our lifestyle has to do with what we eat, 37:31 how we take care of our bodies to give glory to Him. 37:35 So this goes into all the lifestyle teachings, 37:38 the main teachings in the Bible, 37:41 to kind of bring it all together into 37:44 the Three Angels' Messages. 37:46 There's actually 20 fundamental beliefs 37:48 embedded in these studies. 37:50 And so, what we're trying to do, 37:54 you see that beautifully put, 37:57 God has embedded all of these major teachings 38:01 into what we call the Three Angels' Messages. 38:05 And so we're unpacking that in a succinct way, 38:09 so that it would go into all the world. 38:10 Yes, that's beautiful. 38:12 What can you guys tell me 38:13 and anybody can jump in on this one 38:16 about lives that have been transformed 38:18 or touched as a result of taking the study guides 38:22 or studying them? 38:24 Well, let me say this. 38:26 As I said earlier, I was using the Three Angels' Messages 38:30 outline for years, 38:33 and I had good success with all levels of people, 38:38 professional people, 38:39 and all levels of people in society, 38:43 they resonate with this 38:45 because there's power in the gospel 38:48 and it changes people's lives. 38:50 Amen. 38:52 And when they see that God has a plan. 38:55 You know, they can see it 38:56 in the Three Angels' Messages unfolding. 39:00 We have some testimonial videos too. 39:03 I was just gonna bring up to. 39:05 I've been using these in Sabbath school settings 39:08 to kind of remind us 39:09 what we're supposed to be going and sharing 39:10 with the world and remind. 39:12 And then also individual Bible studies. 39:14 I studied with a friend of mine who was a Catholic 39:17 and she was amazed at how clear and concise everything 39:21 when she said right before she had a question 39:23 that it would answer, 39:25 you know, followed it. Yeah. 39:27 And she couldn't believe 39:28 how well put together they were, 39:30 it intrigued her, the topics and the way that went, 39:34 so she accepted each truth as they came along. 39:36 Praise the Lord. 39:37 Another thing we're having 39:38 a group Bible study with adults, 39:40 and then youth, 39:42 and I'm leading out with the adults, 39:43 we have about 10 people and then we have 39:45 someone that's leading out with the youth 39:46 and that's Christina Ortiz. 39:48 And we're gonna watch her 39:49 testimony of what she thinks of it. 39:51 Nice. 39:52 I have been leading youth Bible studies 39:55 using these study guides and growing up as an Adventist 39:59 and growing up in the church, 40:00 I have been so scared 40:02 and quite frankly kind of terrified 40:05 of what might come in the future. 40:07 I have been super worried and nervous, 40:10 like, "Am I even gonna go to heaven," 40:12 type of questions like and I'm scared to death. 40:14 And I know so many youth a lot, like around my age, 40:18 have those questions and have those concerns. 40:20 And with these study guides, I have been realizing like, 40:23 "Hey, it's gonna be okay." 40:25 We just need to have that faith and have that trust in God 40:28 and He will take care of the rest. 40:31 I have this beautiful prayer that I have been 40:36 reading to myself at nighttime. 40:38 Father, please forgive me of my sins. 40:40 I accept Jesus as my personal Savior 40:42 and invite Him into my life as my Lord. 40:45 Thank You for giving me the gift of eternal life 40:47 in His name, amen. 40:49 And just with that prayer, I saw it 40:51 and it was just like a spark because I realized that 40:55 I take prayer for granted, I just throw it around like, 40:59 Jesus, thank You for this day. 41:00 Amen. 41:01 But with this, it was like a wake-up call, like, 41:03 "Hey, you need to pay attention to God 41:04 and you need to have that communication, 41:06 you need to have that trust, and you need to build it. 41:08 And so, I have been growing along with my peers 41:12 that I have been teaching along with. 41:15 And it's just been such a great experience 41:18 to grow with them 41:19 and grow reading these study guides. 41:23 And so I invite all the youth out there 41:25 to pick these up and just take a look at them 41:28 and look at these bullet points, 41:30 and it'll get you right to the point. 41:32 So thank you. 41:34 Wow, it seems like that really, 41:36 you know, has touched and transformed her life 41:39 and made a difference in her life. 41:41 Can you, is there anything you can add to? 41:43 I just, I think it's exciting 41:44 that it's resonating with young and, 41:47 you know, old, and just anyone and I find that exciting. 41:51 Yes. 41:52 And also, you know, 41:55 a lot of people are afraid to read Revelation. 41:58 That's true. 42:00 But there's a blessing that is promised if we read it, 42:03 and I like to share that. 42:05 For those who haven't... 42:06 Don't know of the blessing. It says. 42:08 "Blessed is he who reads 42:11 and those who hear the words of this prophecy, 42:13 and keep those things which are written in it, 42:15 for the time is near." 42:18 And that's why we have an urgency 42:19 because the time is near 42:21 and Jesus doesn't want anybody to be lost, 42:24 but that all might come to Him and be saved. 42:27 And so I was sharing this with a friend, 42:29 Lori Swan and she had fear of Revelation for years. 42:34 And so it will amaze me how in the beginning of the study, 42:38 she received a piece that she hadn't had before 42:41 and I'd like to share her testimony. 42:43 Lori Swan. Thank you. Take a look at it. 42:48 Hi, my name is Lori Swan. 42:50 I'm from Knoxville, Tennessee. 42:52 And I wanna tell you just a little bit 42:54 about my background. 42:56 From a very early age, 42:57 I was afraid of my earthly fathers. 43:01 And later on in life, I started going to church 43:05 with my family and it was a very strict 43:08 religious denomination. 43:10 And so as our family and I learned to fear God 43:14 from a very young age, I kind of related Him 43:16 to my earthly fathers. 43:18 So I really didn't have a relationship with Him, 43:22 although I wanted to and I knew I was saved. 43:26 I was afraid of God. 43:27 I was afraid I wasn't good enough. 43:29 And they also taught with hellfire and brimstone. 43:35 So I was afraid of anything to do 43:37 with end times revelations and stuff like that. 43:40 So I never read the Book of Revelations. 43:43 I didn't watch the news. 43:45 And I just viewed God as somebody who was scary. 43:49 And I was talking to my friend Cathy Pethel one day 43:52 and she was asking me 43:53 how my relationship with God was, 43:56 and I was just honest with her, I told her it wasn't 43:58 what I wanted, 43:59 and I wanted a closer relationship. 44:01 I just didn't know how because I was afraid of him. 44:05 And she was telling me that her husband, 44:07 Pastor Mike Pethel had put together some studies 44:10 with the Everlasting Gospel study guides. 44:14 And her and I started studying together. 44:17 And then I started studying them on my own. 44:20 And through it, I realized that God is a God of love. 44:24 He is not a God to fear. 44:26 I had thought of Him as my earthly fathers 44:31 because that's the only way I viewed the father. 44:33 And through this study, 44:35 I saw that He was a God of love. 44:37 And how much He loved us and desire to be with us 44:40 and have a relationship, and I related that 44:43 to my earthly grandfather who I adored. 44:46 I would do anything for him, 44:48 and I would never wanna disappoint him. 44:50 And so I realized that 44:52 the fear we're supposed to have of God 44:53 is a fear of reverence and respect. 44:56 And that is, you know, 44:59 we're not supposed to want to disappoint him 45:01 to live a life that would honor Him. 45:04 And through these guides, it's also helped me 45:07 with revelation in end times that I don't fear that anymore. 45:10 I'm actually excited to look to the end times 45:13 and to know that it's just 45:15 going to bring me closer to eternity with God. 45:19 And it's changed my life. 45:21 People have seen how it's changed my life, 45:24 and the relationship I have with Him. 45:26 And so I had some friends asked me about it, 45:29 I'm gonna send these guides out to three of them 45:31 in three different states, 45:32 but it has changed and blessed my life, 45:35 and I just pray that it changes 45:36 and blesses the life of others too. 45:40 Wow. 45:41 You know, it's amazing how these studies, 45:44 they're giving 45:45 the proper depiction of the Bible, 45:48 they're leading people to the Bible, 45:50 and showing Christ's character and God's character 45:54 and as a result, you know, 45:56 people are drawn into Him 45:57 because they see the love of Christ. 46:00 Amen. 46:02 What do you have about maybe some other testimonies? 46:05 We have a testimony 46:06 from a conference worker, a leader, 46:09 who is using them to follow up other studies. 46:13 And then we also have a pastor out in the field. 46:16 Many of the pastors have used these studies. 46:18 Well, what's their names? 46:20 And his name is Daniel Romanov, and the other fellow was 46:23 E.W. Dempsey from the Georgia-Cumberland Conference. 46:26 Okay, we're gonna look at those videos back-to-back. 46:28 Okay. All right. 46:31 I'm E.W. Dempsey, Adult Ministries Director 46:33 for Georgia-Cumberland Conference. 46:35 Twenty-six years ago, 46:37 I was hired to work in the field of evangelism 46:39 in specific counties 46:41 where we did not have 46:42 a Seventh-day Adventist presence. 46:44 Today we call those pioneer areas. 46:47 We formed a, our own Bible Correspondence program. 46:50 It was called Bible Research. 46:53 When we finished that set of lessons, 46:55 we would follow-up with other types of lessons. 46:58 A year ago, we discovered a new set called 47:00 Everlasting Gospel. 47:03 It's a very simple 10 lessons, very biblically based, 47:09 covers the major teachings of the Bible. 47:12 And so we did a mail out of 400. 47:15 We had 150 that responded. 47:17 Since then we've discovered 25% of the people 47:21 that began finish. 47:23 So it is a very effective lesson, 47:25 very colorful, 47:27 but very, very succinct 47:29 and very complimentary to our program. 47:32 We're gonna eat up. They'll go until... 47:35 Romanov. Yeah. 47:38 My name is Daniel Romanov. 47:40 And I am fifth generation Seventh-day Adventist pastor. 47:44 For four generations, my ancestors 47:46 and they ministered in the Soviet Union 47:49 trying to share the love of Jesus 47:51 and the gospel any way that they could 47:54 even through the persecution during the communism time 47:57 and that passion to share the gospel. 48:00 And in the spirit and truth 48:03 and the three angel message burn within me 48:05 and I want to share it wherever I go. 48:07 Two years ago, 48:09 Pastor Mike shared with me a new study, 48:12 the Three Angels' Study Guide. 48:14 And I was excited about it. 48:16 Right now I pastor in Smoky Mountain, 48:18 in Newport Church. 48:19 So we ordered this study, to use in our prayer meetings. 48:23 And we just did evangelistic series 48:25 and wanted to invite those who attended 48:27 to continue to study the Bible, 48:30 and also for all the members to renew their passion. 48:33 I was really excited about these studies. 48:35 First of all, 48:36 because they're placed on the Bible 48:39 and the Bible truth, but our beliefs 48:42 as Seventh-day Adventist 48:43 are not just 28 random beliefs taking out 48:47 from different portion of the Bible, 48:49 but they come together as a unit, 48:52 and also could be clearly seen 48:55 from the heart of the Book of Revelation 48:57 from Revelation Chapter 14 48:59 and through the Three Angels' Messages. 49:02 So these studies clearly show that, 49:05 they go to the heart of the Book of Revelation. 49:08 And out of it, we see those beliefs 49:11 that come out and united together 49:14 under the spirit and the life and the truth of Jesus. 49:18 So we were so excited to have these. 49:21 The new people that came into the church 49:24 who were excited to learn the truth of the Bible. 49:27 And also the members were excited about it 49:30 and renewed in their passion for our beliefs 49:32 and how they all connect to each other, 49:35 and especially to our three angel messages 49:39 that we had to share with others. 49:41 I would highly recommend it to use 49:44 either in the church studying, 49:46 whether it's a study group or the prayer meeting, 49:48 or to use with somebody who is new, 49:51 and to want to know more about the love of Jesus 49:53 and our beliefs. 49:55 Thank you. 49:56 Wow. 49:58 These studies have made a difference 49:59 in the lives of so many. 50:01 What are your needs as an organization? 50:05 Well, what we've done to this point, 50:07 they can go to projectegospel.com 50:11 and the website and get these studies 50:13 for free in English and Spanish. 50:16 The needs are that 50:17 we want our goal is to get these 50:19 and put in all the major languages. 50:21 Daniel Romanov 50:23 who just was there on the video. 50:28 He and his wife might be putting these in Russian. 50:31 And it will be, 50:33 then that will be on the internet. 50:34 So we wanna get it in all the major languages. 50:36 But we need financial support to happen in that endeavor. 50:41 And to get these in the three angels' messages 50:44 in a succinct way around the world, 50:46 so that we can get the gospel into all the world. 50:49 Amen. Amen.
