00:01 I want to spend my life
00:07 Mending broken people 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Removing pain 00:24 Lord, let my words 00:30 Heal a heart that hurts 00:34 I want to spend my life 00:40 Mending broken people 00:46 I want to spend my life 00:51 Mending broken people 01:09 Hello, and welcome to another 3ABN Today program. 01:12 I'm Jason Bradley, 01:14 and I'm excited about 01:15 what we're going to be talking about. 01:17 We're going to give you an update 01:18 on what's going on at 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago. 01:24 And I want to introduce you to someone 01:26 who has been a volunteer with 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago, 01:31 and his name is Rodney Reynold. 01:33 Welcome to the program, Rodney. 01:34 Thank you very much, Jason. 01:36 It's great to have you here. 01:38 I see you at all these events. 01:40 I see you at ASI, I see you at GC. 01:43 I see you just at so many different events. 01:47 But this is your first time 01:49 at 3ABN's headquarters, correct? 01:50 Yes, it is. It is. 01:52 Wow. Wow. 01:53 Yeah, I'm glad you could make it out here. 01:56 How long have you been a volunteer with? 01:58 I've been a volunteer for 3ABN 02:00 in Trinidad and Tobago for 14 years. 02:02 Fourteen years? Yes, 14 years. 02:04 Wow, 14 years. 02:07 And you are gifted in the area of marketing, 02:12 and establishing connections and networking 02:14 and all of that stuff, I've noticed that. 02:16 Yes, yes. I definitely notice that. 02:18 We're going to dive into your background 02:21 and all that stuff 02:22 because we want to find out who you are. 02:24 We want our viewing audience to find out who you are. 02:30 Who's the volunteer that's in Trinidad and Tobago, 02:33 but before we do, 02:35 we're going to go ahead and go to a song. 02:37 We're going to be blessed in song by Pam Lister, 02:40 and the song is entitled "Written in Red." 02:56 In letters of crimson 03:01 God wrote His love 03:05 On a hillside so long 03:09 Long ago 03:14 For you and for me 03:18 Jesus died 03:23 And love's greatest story 03:28 Was told 03:35 I love you 03:44 That's what 03:47 Calvary said 03:53 I love you 04:08 Written in red 04:22 Down through the ages 04:27 God wrote His love 04:31 With the same hands 04:33 That suffered and bled 04:40 Giving all 04:45 That He had to give 04:49 A message so easily read 04:58 I love you 05:08 That's what 05:10 Calvary said 05:17 I love you 05:34 Oh, precious 05:38 Is the flow 05:43 That makes me 05:47 White as snow 05:53 No other fount 05:58 I know 06:02 Nothing but the blood 06:05 The blood of Jesus 06:10 I love you 06:20 That's what 06:21 Calvary said 06:28 I love you 06:43 Written in red 07:10 Wow, what a beautiful song. 07:13 We're here talking to Brother Rodney Reynold. 07:17 And, Rodney, 07:19 you have been volunteering for 14 years 07:22 as you said before we went into the song. 07:25 You know, I really love the scripture 07:28 that's found in 1 Corinthians Chapter 12. 07:32 Really just that whole chapter 07:33 where it's talking about spiritual gifts, 07:35 unity and diversity, 07:37 and then also unity and diversity in one body. 07:42 It's interesting because it's kind of like 07:45 talking about the coexistence 07:47 of the different parts of the body. 07:51 But they all come, they all make up, 07:53 you know, the body and all the different parts 07:55 are needed for different functions. 07:57 And in ministry 07:59 we need members to be mobilized, 08:04 to be doing things around the world 08:06 because the gospel is to go into the entire world. 08:11 And you're out there 08:12 at 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago volunteering your time. 08:17 And you've done quite a few things and, 08:21 you know, by the grace of God and to prove it, 08:24 I've got a long list of notes here 08:26 of different events and all kinds of stuff 08:29 that we're going to talk about, 08:30 and I'm excited about that. 08:32 But let's get into your background. 08:35 Who is Rodney? 08:36 How did you grow up? 08:38 And were you always in the church? 08:41 Yeah, I grew up in east of Trinidad in Manzanilla, 08:44 that's the eastern side 08:47 and lived there for a short time, 08:50 then moved on to the city Port of Spain, 08:53 and lived there for most of my life. 08:56 Okay. And what city was that? 08:58 Port of Spain. Okay, okay. 08:59 Yes, so on a little island of at least 1.5 million. 09:05 That's the capital 09:07 and it's much more populated as well. 09:10 Okay. Yeah, yeah. 09:11 Wow, little island of 1.5 million people? 09:14 Yes, yes. 09:15 That sounds like a nice size island. 09:17 Yes, it is. It is. 09:19 Okay. 09:20 And were you always in the church? 09:22 Most of my life I was in the church. 09:24 I was brought up in the church. 09:26 My parents brought us up in the church 09:29 before they got married. 09:31 They were Hindus, and they went to a crusade. 09:35 And someone invited them 09:37 and they found out more about the Bible 09:42 and more about love, 09:44 and they accepted the message of salvation, Jesus, 09:47 and they became members of the Adventist Church, 09:50 and they brought us up Christian life, 09:55 vegetarian as well, 09:57 and a whole beautiful lifestyle. 09:59 Okay. Yeah. 10:01 Okay. 10:02 So that was a complete shift for them because Hindus, 10:06 don't they have a polytheistic like in terms of like, 10:11 don't they worship multiple... 10:13 Yes, they do. 10:14 Gods, so they went from that to accepting Christ 10:17 as their personal Lord and Savior. 10:19 Yes, God really called in 10:21 just before they got married, actually, 10:23 and they called them and they accepted the Lord. 10:26 And from that time when they got baptized, 10:30 they just were on fire for the Lord. 10:33 Did a lot of missionary work 10:35 for community events almost every month. 10:40 They cook about 500 meals for the homeless. 10:43 And from the East Coast, 10:45 they would drive down on a Sunday 10:47 and give out food and drinks. 10:49 And this would be at our expense, yeah, as well. 10:53 Wow. 10:54 So you've been doing all kinds 10:56 of ministry oriented volunteer work 10:59 for a long, long time, longer than 14 years. 11:02 Yes, yes. 11:04 Yeah, I had my parents to thank 11:05 for how they have brought us up. 11:09 They have showed, 11:11 showed us the love of God by helping others 11:14 and by their lifestyle and a whole lot of things. 11:19 And who I am today 11:21 is because of how they brought us up 11:23 when we were small. 11:24 Yes, yes. 11:26 So when did you fall in love with Christ? 11:31 That's, that journey in my life... 11:36 Before I go there, my parents wanted me to, 11:40 well, wanted us as their children 11:44 to grow up in the church. 11:47 The do's and the don'ts used to get to me a lot. 11:49 Okay. A lot. 11:51 So on most Sabbath afternoons, as soon as Sabbath is over, 11:56 I will run around the church fast over and over, 12:00 because Sabbath was over. 12:02 So while church was over? 12:04 When Sabbath is over. 12:06 Oh, so that night, okay. Yeah, yeah. 12:08 So that's in the afternoon, on Sabbath afternoon. 12:10 And then our parents used to get upset 12:12 because of that, because I'm so happy 12:13 that the Sabbath is over. 12:15 Back then it was a burden for me as a child. 12:19 And parents will teach you 12:20 the do's and don'ts of God's Word. 12:26 And at that time in my life, I wasn't in love with God. 12:30 When I was 17, around there, God showed me. 12:35 I got a little book called Alone With God. 12:37 And God impressed me to continue reading that book. 12:42 And He showed me how much He loved me. 12:44 And then that's how I got to fall in love with God 12:47 and get to do what He wants us to do, 12:51 what He wants me to do as well. 12:54 And that's how I get to know 12:55 the love and the joy of being in God's presence 12:58 and doing what He, His will in my life, yes. 13:02 Now, I remember talking to you prior to this program, 13:05 and you were telling me about that book, that you read, 13:08 and you shared a story in that book 13:11 and you gave some examples... 13:14 Yes. Or an example. 13:16 And I thought it was a really good example. 13:19 Why don't you share what you shared with me? 13:23 Being in love with God, 13:25 it's a marriage, like a marriage. 13:28 Husband and wife married together, 13:31 and the man make a list for his wife 13:35 almost every day to do this. 13:37 And she keeps doing this over and over week by week, 13:43 and it became a burden for her 13:45 just doing the list, of things on the list. 13:48 So the man in the book made a list for his wife. 13:50 Yes. 13:52 And the list that he made for his wife 13:55 was a burden to her. 13:56 Yes. Yeah. 13:58 Because it was something 13:59 she was supposed to do over and over. 14:01 Yes. Okay. 14:02 And... 14:04 So she kept on doing this. 14:05 And it became such a burden for her 14:07 and a challenge to do so often. 14:09 And apart from that factor, 14:12 other factors, they got separated. 14:16 So when she got married, years down the road, 14:21 she went up into the Arctic, 14:22 and she came across the list of things 14:25 that her first husband gave her. 14:28 And she got very angry and said, 14:33 "Look at how her husband used to treat her 14:35 and give it us to do lists and such." 14:38 And then she keep reading lists, 14:41 one by one, and she realize, but I do this, 14:45 I do this and I do all of this. 14:47 And then she got to realize that 14:49 because she loves her husband, 14:52 and it's because of love she gets do these things. 14:54 That's how when you're in love with God, 14:57 or you enjoy being in His presence, 14:59 you enjoy doing His will and working for Him. 15:02 Yes, yes. 15:04 So she was motivated by love. 15:06 And so that list that seemed like it was, 15:09 it was burdensome. 15:10 It wasn't even burdensome at all. 15:13 And she was automatically, she was doing it out of love. 15:17 Yes. 15:19 I'm sure she could have done more 15:20 because she's in love with him. 15:22 Yes, yes. 15:24 And that's, you know, 15:25 for a lot of us that's like the Ten Commandments... 15:28 Absolutely. You know, and the Word of God. 15:31 There's so many people that view it as a burden, 15:34 things that they can't do, 15:35 they think that it's restrictive 15:37 but really, it's all about love, 15:39 like God is love. 15:41 And when we love Him, 15:44 we have, we don't, we want to keep though, 15:47 we don't want to hurt God. 15:49 We want to please God. 15:50 Absolutely. Yes, yes. 15:52 Absolutely. 15:53 So tell us, tell me more about your background? 15:56 Well, I served in a prison ministries department 15:59 in the city church for over 10 years. 16:01 Okay. 16:03 And during that time 16:04 and we encounter a lot of challenges 16:08 in reaching people. 16:09 And sometime after that, Danny came down, 16:13 Danny Shelton came down to Trinidad 16:16 and at a convention 16:17 and that's where I heard him speak, 16:19 and I caught the vision. 16:22 I met him there and I spoke with him. 16:24 I tried then for him to speak 16:26 with the current cable company in the island. 16:30 We were analog then, not digital. 16:32 Okay. 16:33 So that was just one cable provider. 16:36 And now we have over seven cables. 16:40 And a lot of the challenges that we've had in the island 16:44 is where people were not interested 16:48 in hearing about God's Word, 16:49 not interested in hearing what you have to say 16:52 when you go to speak with them. 16:54 And then when I heard Danny spoke, 16:57 and I got his message, 16:59 and I caught that vision, 17:01 what he wants to do it all in line 17:03 with what challenges that we face there. 17:05 It was really amazing to know that 17:08 3ABN is already in your house, it's already in your home. 17:12 All we have to do is find a way 17:15 to direct you to the channel, 17:18 which is simply by putting the flyer in mailbox. 17:21 And letting you know that 17:22 here's where you can watch 17:24 3ABN lifestyle television station. 17:25 So by putting a flyer in the mailbox, 17:27 you let them know. 17:29 You let them know, yeah. 17:30 You will have to interact with them 17:31 and those who don't want to interact with you, 17:33 but those who are willing to have a conversation. 17:36 You let them know the benefits of watching 3ABN 24/7 17:40 first class lifestyle programs. 17:42 Yes. 17:43 And when 3ABN came on board, 17:47 I resigned all my posts, 17:49 kept one post, 3ABN, 17:52 and it's been so for 14 years, 17:55 and it has been a sweet beautiful journey 17:58 and a great joy 18:00 in making things happen in my island. 18:03 And it only happens by God. 18:06 Amen. 18:07 Only by Him, He guides me, direct me, 18:10 connect me in ways 18:11 that only when I check back, that was God. 18:14 Yes. 18:15 That was God, you know. 18:17 And it is just so amazing how He put things again. 18:19 I just had to say thank You, Lord. 18:22 Yes. 18:23 We need more. 18:24 Uh-huh. 18:26 So he has done tremendous things 18:27 in our island and some of the projects 18:30 that we discussed are listed, 18:33 that's just some of what we do. 18:35 There are many other things 18:36 that we do to try to reach people 18:40 with 3ABN, 18:42 and let them know what we can do 18:44 to help their life as well. 18:47 So let's talk about some of those projects 18:49 because in 14 years of doing this, 18:51 I know that you have 18:53 some powerful testimonies and stories 18:55 and different events that, that you've been a part of. 18:59 Let's talk about some of those. 19:01 Yes. 19:03 The projects that we do helps build our relationship 19:08 with the people in the community 19:11 at ground level at one on one, 19:14 and it builds network, it builds bridges, 19:18 it builds relationship. 19:20 And it gets you to understand 19:22 that this is what 3ABN as the Island 19:24 and this is what we offer. 19:26 And they are so amazed 19:29 to know that the quality 19:32 that programs that 3ABN offer, 19:34 there they just say wow. 19:37 Some of them has come to me and said, 19:38 "I did not know you exist." 19:41 And I get that sometimes a lot, I used to, 19:43 but now in my island 19:45 there's a larger portion of people you know 19:47 because we try our best to be present 19:49 in community events, 19:51 so that people could know what we are. 19:54 If is we had a community event for the entire day 19:57 and at least one person get to know of 3ABN, 20:01 that's enough for me. 20:02 That's enough for me, because I know that one person, 20:05 once they get to fall in love with God 20:08 by watching 3ABN, 20:10 it will grow from there and they will pass it on. 20:13 And that's enough because that is cast in stone. 20:17 Uh-huh. 20:18 So one of the projects that we did 20:22 was a huge project 20:23 with Spiritual Vigilantes books. 20:26 In 2017, we did, 20:30 we requested 50,000 Spiritual Vigilantes books. 20:35 Fifteen thousand Spiritual... 20:37 Oh, wow, look at all those boxes 20:39 that are behind you guys. 20:41 That's most of the boxes there as 50,000 boxes there. 20:46 Volunteers came together, 20:47 that's some of the volunteers actually, 20:49 from downstairs to upstairs who carried it. 20:52 And then in the community, we mobilized, 20:55 we put the books into plastic bags, 20:58 and put our flyers and stamp it. 21:01 And we went into the places in our island 21:03 that is not reached and we cover that. 21:07 And there's more of the volunteers, 21:10 the gentleman there is Pastor Ishaan Arjun, 21:13 he mobilized most of the volunteers 21:16 to come to the project, 21:19 and did a fantastic job 21:20 in the whole western side of Port of Spain, 21:23 that those areas we go to, they were untouched. 21:27 Wow. Yes. 21:29 Wow. 21:30 So a lot of people then had access 21:34 to spiritual literature? 21:36 Yes. And that's beautiful. 21:38 And especially from 3ABN and our flyers, they have, 21:42 also had a contact list if you want to find out more, 21:45 if you want a Bible study as well. 21:48 And there's someone who is working 21:51 on a political level to get, 21:54 to give those people there Bible studies as well. 21:56 Nice. Right. 21:57 And so from time to time I'm on a full operator, 22:00 and she will let us know how's the feedback 22:03 'cause she's already in the area, yes. 22:06 Yeah, so yeah, just boots on the ground at all time. 22:09 Yeah, she is, she is. 22:10 That's beautiful. 22:12 So 50,000 books. 22:14 What happened at Tobago ASI? 22:17 Right. 22:18 So the plan was to have the 50,000 books, 22:23 Spiritual Vigilantes books in Trinidad 22:25 and 20,000 will be shipped to Tobago. 22:27 Okay. Right? 22:29 So when it came, we send at Tobago. 22:31 And the legend that we have in Tobago, 22:35 Brother Diamond Andrews, he is a legend. 22:38 Uh-huh. 22:40 He makes things happen. Okay. 22:41 Doesn't talk much. Uh-huh. 22:43 Get things done. Okay. 22:45 Very, very quickly. 22:46 He did mobilize things, anything happen and such 22:51 and you want to have a project done, 22:53 they make it happen. 22:54 They really make it happen at first there. 22:56 And he's a mover and a shaker. 22:58 Okay. Definitely is. 23:00 And 50,000 is what we used in the island, 23:04 we use about 10,000 for the mailbox project. 23:07 And the rest we give out to other churches 23:10 in the community and they went out. 23:13 But we had so much need for it. 23:16 Even after the fact that it is finished, 23:18 we got a lot of requests for it and for more. 23:20 And people wanted a lot more of it 23:22 in different areas they didn't get 23:23 so we tried to distribute evenly. 23:26 So some of the areas that got, we had was to ask them, 23:30 say, can we use some of your stuff for another area. 23:34 And it was such a joy to know how people want to share. 23:37 Yeah. 23:39 It's a complete Bible based book. 23:41 And it's well put together. 23:44 And it's really amazing to read. 23:48 You know, one of the things that I love about this, 23:50 the book Spiritual Vigilantes 23:51 is that in a world full of compromise, 23:55 this book points you back to Bible truth. 23:58 Correct. Correct. 24:00 So stand it, it makes you want to stand firm 24:04 on the Word of God, 24:06 which is what we should be doing anyway, 24:08 standing firm on the principles found in the Word of God. 24:10 Yes, absolutely. 24:12 So you're spreading that, around the island 24:15 people are finding out about Christ. 24:17 They're learning about 3ABN. 24:20 What other projects have you done? 24:24 We have in our, you know, trips around the island, 24:29 we met a few people. 24:32 One of them we've met, her name is Michelle. 24:36 She has read the same book 24:41 Ten Commandments Twice Removed. 24:43 And it has shown her from her previous faith, 24:48 how God's truth still stand. 24:52 And she has, have a testimony here. 24:55 And... 24:56 Why don't you read that? Yeah, read her testimony. 24:58 I'll read part of what she has said. 25:02 It says, addressed to Danny Shelton, 25:05 thank you for writing the book Ten Commandments Twice Removed. 25:08 It was not always, 25:11 I was not always a Seventh-day Adventist. 25:14 And she went to school for 25 years. 25:19 Now at 25 years when I graduated 25:21 at Jesuit University in New York. 25:25 That's where she went. 25:26 And in her spiritual journey from her former faith, 25:31 she said, I knew I was not being fed spiritually. 25:34 So I asked Jesus if He was really God 25:39 and to show me His love. 25:40 And her friend. 25:45 She said what surprised her 25:47 when she said she was no longer a member of the Sunday keeping. 25:52 And she is now became a member 25:54 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 25:57 So and her friend loaned her the book 26:00 Ten Commandments Twice Removed 26:03 by Danny Shelton and Shelley Quinn. 26:05 And the book has showed her logically. 26:09 She said had a book, 26:11 The Ten Commandments Twice Removed 26:12 is simple and logical, 26:15 written with many Bible references 26:18 that make it quite clear 26:20 that all the Ten Commandments are to be kept today. 26:25 I read for the first time the difference between 26:28 the burdensome ceremonial law and the holy moral law. 26:32 The moral law written by the finger of God on stone 26:36 is placed in the sanctuary 26:38 in the Most Holy Place at the base, 26:42 the foundation of the mercy seat 26:44 where God dwell. 26:45 From Genesis to Revelation, 26:47 God speaks of his hallowing the Sabbath. 26:50 And she said, 26:52 when she returned to Trinidad 26:54 in December 2016 26:58 she started to go 26:59 at the Woodbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church, 27:02 and her first name is Michelle. 27:05 Wow. Wow. 27:07 So you know, 27:08 I think that really speaks to the importance of literature 27:12 and even being a colporteur 27:15 or literary evangelist as well, you know, 27:18 because people read the written word, 27:21 and all of that. 27:23 And God utilizes that to transform their lives. 27:27 Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. 27:28 We have a few more other people as well. 27:32 Elizabeth, she made a commitment to Lord 27:35 that when she reach a certain amount 27:38 of sales in her career, 27:42 she would want to be baptized, 27:43 but when her mom 27:45 who was searching for God as well 27:50 got introduced to 3ABN, not for weeks or months, 27:55 but within the day, within the hour, she said, 27:59 when she looked at the presentation, 28:01 she said, "That was the truth." 28:03 She knew that was the truth 28:05 and it is completely Bible base. 28:09 So much influenced her show it her way 28:13 that what is being aired on 3ABN 28:16 is completely and totally Bible based. 28:18 Yes. 28:20 And so before she reached her goal on in sales, 28:25 she asked me to arrange a baptism, 28:28 and she got baptized. 28:29 We give her a certificate of baptism, 28:31 and she got baptized. 28:34 Just, probably it's about three months 28:35 after watching 3ABN. 28:37 Wow! 28:38 And her journey, 28:40 her journey is a journey of where she's switch 28:44 from different feat to another feat 28:47 to him doing this and to doing all sorts of things. 28:50 And you could, you can, 28:52 when you sit with someone on that had an experience 28:55 where they have been searching 28:56 and they've been searching and they're still not finding. 28:59 And when they see the programs 29:01 and here are the programs that we introduce them to. 29:04 And they actually spend time in researching what messages 29:08 and to check their Bibles. 29:10 It is what is in the Bible. 29:11 They were so amazed. They said this is true. 29:14 And the Holy Spirit works through them. 29:16 It works through them and works with them, 29:18 and they accept Christ. 29:21 And that has been such a joy. 29:23 We've had, we have a gentleman this year as well. 29:27 He is a pioneer in his feat. 29:30 And what he... 29:33 We were at a meeting in his area. 29:36 And one of the persons there mentioned to me 29:39 that this gentleman didn't know he's watching 3ABN 29:42 for probably about two years now. 29:44 And he has stopped going to his faith, 29:48 because he wasn't being fed. 29:50 And the Lord had showed him and showed him 29:53 that what has been shown 29:55 and what has been aired on 3ABN, 29:57 it's completely Bible based. 29:58 And he did his homework and rest 30:01 and he stopped attending their faith. 30:03 So he stays home and watch 3ABN, 30:08 but he has a challenge at his home 30:10 because his wife is of another faith. 30:13 So he asks us to pray for him. 30:16 But I told him, it's about God's love, right? 30:20 And that's it's what, what, what we present there in 3ABN 30:24 is about God's love for man. 30:27 And once you fall in love with God, 30:31 and you realize, 30:32 and you spend time in His Word, 30:33 He will guide you by step by step in journey, 30:36 because we have all rich different journeys 30:39 in our lives, 30:41 but some of us when we reach a journey, 30:43 we expect people to be at that journey 30:46 when we want them, when we meet them. 30:48 Yeah, we are all in different places in our walk. 30:50 Yes. Yes, yes. 30:51 So it's a challenge when you meet people, 30:55 and some people want to do the Holy Spirit work. 30:58 I tell people we are called to catch the fish 31:03 not to scale it. 31:04 So I hope they catch that perception clear as well. 31:09 So we have Jennifer, 31:11 we have Jennifer watching 3ABN for at least two years. 31:16 I met her about two months ago. 31:19 This is her, she of former faith. 31:23 And she approached me and said, 31:26 "I'm watching 3ABN for the past two years 31:28 and I've recently got baptized." 31:31 And it's just, it's a joy just to hear her testimony. 31:35 And she wants to do more for the Lord. 31:37 She's retired, but she wants to do a lot more. 31:40 And so we connect her with ASI Trinidad. 31:44 And she's supporting them whenever she can as well. 31:47 And of course, 3ABN as well. 31:48 Yes, yes. 31:50 And that's what it's all about, isn't it? 31:51 You know, these programs exist to point people to Christ. 31:55 Yes. 31:56 And also give them practical tools for Christian, 31:59 you know, to live Christian life. 32:02 Yes, absolutely. 32:03 So I love this testimony. 32:06 Then we have Anthony, just this year. 32:09 God just made him move mighty in his life, 32:13 where he had was to, he got, 32:15 he had notice to leave where he was renting, 32:19 and God provide him with the funds 32:23 to fit the next rent for the new place. 32:28 And he just keep giving me these testimonies, 32:30 and it was just so amazing. 32:32 And it just happened 32:33 and he just watching Amazing Facts on 3ABN as well. 32:38 And God just revealed to him 32:41 that what we share again our quality programs 32:44 are completely Bible based. 32:48 So talk to me about... 32:50 You also did some things with food? 32:54 Yes, yes. 32:55 What was it like a food pantry work? 32:58 What happened there? 32:59 Tell me a little bit about that? 33:01 Yes, if I may before we go there. 33:05 What we have been doing, 33:07 when we are invited to projects or events in my island, 33:13 we send prayer requests to the pastoral team, 33:17 JD and his team, 33:20 and one of the most recent 33:25 prayer's reports 33:28 was that there was an event 33:30 last year in October, 33:34 and the year before it rained for the entire event 33:39 which was on Sabbath. 33:41 So I sent a prayer request to JD and his team, 33:44 asked them to please pray that it does not rain 33:48 on that day for the event. 33:52 It rained most of the week, up until Friday night. 33:56 And for the Sabbath, 33:58 it did not rain at all. 34:03 And every way around the area got affected by rain 34:07 and it rained as well, but not that location. 34:11 That was really amazing to know that, 34:14 and we're grateful for JD 34:16 and his pastoral team for their prayers 34:19 and the continued support. 34:20 Because again, it's God who makes these things happen 34:26 for our events 34:27 and events that we invited to as well. 34:30 Yeah. 34:31 So come into your, 34:33 come into the food 34:37 hamper distribution. 34:39 We from time to time, we get sponsorship 34:44 from the Supermarket Association and others. 34:47 And we connect with the community services 34:53 of the Adventist Church to reach out to people 34:56 and there are other members as well 34:59 who need food supplies, some of them are unemployed. 35:03 Some of them, they can't make ends meet. 35:06 Some of them are single parents. 35:08 Sometimes their house burned down and a lot. 35:11 So we, for the year so far, 35:16 we have distributed over 3000 grocery and bakery items 35:21 thus far for the year. 35:22 And that is only based on sponsorship. 35:26 This is one of the trip 35:28 on a Sabbath afternoon we went out. 35:30 And this is one of the volunteers. 35:33 We did about probably about 10 homes 35:37 that Sabbath afternoon. 35:39 And this is another home that we did. 35:41 This is a club 35:43 in the St. James Police Youth Club 35:46 is a bunch of young people coming together 35:52 to come out of high risk areas. 35:54 So the St. James Police Youth Club 35:57 introduced them to sports, games, and a lot of activities 36:01 just direct their energy to the right path. 36:05 So we lend them to support 36:07 of these grocery items that they need 36:10 because they are an NGO as well. 36:13 And those are some of the pictures 36:14 that we have distributed. 36:17 Some of these pictures 36:22 we don't show for some people 36:24 because we respect their privacy as well. 36:27 And some of them, 36:29 they don't wish to take pictures 36:30 and that's fine. 36:31 But it's a great joy when we meet them. 36:35 We give them any of our, well, our flyer, 3ABN flyer, 36:40 and we give them whatever books that we have 36:43 to let them know about God's amazing love. 36:46 Amen. 36:47 You've also been to the US Embassy out there. 36:51 Talk to us a little bit about that, too? 36:53 Yes, the US Embassy. 36:56 We have network with them early this year in April 37:00 where the Caribbean Union Office, 37:05 Dr. Pastor Clive Dalton have, reached out to 3ABN 37:09 and would love to have us on board at sports caravan. 37:12 And on that sports caravan, where it is, 37:15 we go into a very high risk area 37:18 and introduce more sports to them 37:21 to the children and the youth. 37:23 And it was... 37:25 We had a march which was supposed to take 37:27 at least hour for the most. 37:29 We march for over three hours. 37:32 And it was really, it was really fun. 37:36 It was really fun. 37:38 We got the... 37:39 Over three hours? 37:41 Yes, over three hours as well. 37:43 It was really a great event. 37:45 We have also 37:49 met with Dean 37:53 from Dean Wheels. 37:55 He has a monster truck. 37:57 Okay. 37:59 So he was also, 38:00 he came on board of the Adventist Church 38:02 via 3ABN as well. 38:03 Wow! 38:05 So he came into Adventist Church 38:06 through watching 3ABN? 38:08 Yes, he did. Praise the Lord. 38:09 So the event was on a Sunday. 38:13 And on Sabbath, 38:14 we were looking for somebody to transport 38:16 about 50 cases of water. 38:18 And we did not have anyone. 38:20 So I was nearby 38:23 at the Adventist Church there. 38:26 And I saw a vehicle and I asked whose one is that? 38:31 And then I started to talk with him 38:33 and he gave me his story. 38:35 And I asked him if he would like to come 38:36 to the event tomorrow and he did. 38:39 So he brought his monster Ford Ranger F-250. 38:44 I think we actually have a picture of that. 38:47 Yes. 38:48 So that is Dean in blue. 38:51 This is his Ford Ranger F-250. 38:54 Children love that. 38:56 They all wanted to go on it, ride on it. 38:59 Just to take pictures. 39:01 And it was a great fun for the children 39:03 to be there as well. 39:05 And we thank the info what he has done. 39:07 Yes. 39:08 And enjoy to the children as well. 39:10 Yes. 39:12 Wow. 39:13 So you've done the sports caravan thing 39:16 or the US Embassy? 39:19 Talk to me about the evangelistic meeting? 39:23 Yes, the evangelist meeting we hold. 39:27 We supported Pastor Ishaan Arjun 39:31 for evangelistic meeting in Marvel Parliament. 39:36 And in that meeting, we were present there 39:40 to give out flyers in the community. 39:43 And he did fantastic two weeks presentation 39:47 to that community as well. 39:48 And people got to know more about 3ABN as well, 39:52 'cause we went in the community, 39:54 have the youths put on 39:56 a beautiful question. 40:00 And when you answer the question correctly 40:02 about crime, 40:04 they give you a gift, like a little gift as well. 40:06 So it was really fantastic on a Sabbath day. 40:08 So it was almost like a trivia type? 40:10 Yes, it was really, really fun. 40:11 And I was really happy to see the children did that as well. 40:16 And, so what else, 40:17 what other events or projects have you been a part of? 40:20 Yes. 40:22 For the past three years, over three years, 40:24 we have partnered 40:26 with ? Stepan. 40:31 That is, again hosted, 40:33 well, directed by Pastor Ishaan Arjun. 40:36 And this picture is part of the Parliament, 40:41 Marvel Parliament Group, 40:42 we went into the community as well. 40:44 And we'll see 40:48 how what we have done every for the past three years 40:51 is go to the malls in an island, 40:55 and share the love of God during the Christmas holidays. 40:59 So he put together the youths, children and the youths 41:01 and we go into the malls, all over the island 41:04 wherever we get permission, we go there, 41:07 and we've also distribute flyers. 41:10 We have youths and children 41:13 to all corners of the mall to who enter in. 41:16 We go into the stores on people inside the mall, 41:19 and we give them the Spiritual Vigilantes book, 41:21 The Ten Commandments, the flyers, 41:24 and whatever materials we have to share 3ABN as well. 41:27 And we have our 14 feet 3ABN mobile as well 41:31 displayed as well. 41:33 Yeah, for the past three years, we've been doing that as well. 41:36 Yes. Praise the Lord. 41:37 So you've been very, very active out there 41:40 in Trinidad and Tobago, and it sounds like, 41:44 you know, the island is well aware of 3ABN. 41:48 They are and they're getting to more of it, 41:50 the challenges that we're an NGO. 41:52 So funding to advertise in the media as in, 41:56 as in press and radio is costly, right? 42:01 But when we are in the community, 42:03 people get to know that we're there 42:06 and come and ask us questions. 42:08 And we let them know what we are about, right? 42:12 Another project that we did for over a year 42:16 at different periods 42:18 is the Princess Elizabeth Hospital 42:20 for handicapped children. 42:23 God put it in such a way that He brought someone, 42:28 connect someone to me, 42:31 who was a director of that hospital. 42:35 And they have had a lot of frequent flooding. 42:38 And the wheelchairs there were, some of them are broken, 42:43 and got damaged and such. 42:45 So they were trying to have it removed. 42:47 And in the pictures, you will see shortly, 42:52 we, that's a 20 foot bin, 42:55 we filled that up with, is over two, 42:58 the fact that we full, plus almost three, almost three 43:02 with broken wheelchairs, beds, a whole lot of debris. 43:06 So the idea was to just to do one room, 43:08 and we end up using, 43:10 clean up the entire compound that has broken stuff. 43:14 We also got paint sponsored. 43:16 And we did a complete paint on the compound 43:21 with the volunteers of the members 43:23 of the Woodbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church 43:26 who came on board and they were so happy to know. 43:29 This is where they were painting the wall 43:32 of the compound in the back. 43:34 We did is practically a whole facelift we did 43:39 in on that compound. 43:40 And it was really amazing job to know 43:43 that we shared some joy with the children 43:46 because the place was not looking up to par. 43:49 Yes. 43:50 Up to par, and it was really fun 43:53 to actually have the volunteers come. 43:55 And we had some children involved as well 43:57 'cause wherever we go 43:59 we tried to have the children from, 44:00 in a community 44:02 of all the parents to be present 44:03 because once they see that the parents are involved 44:06 in this community work, 44:08 they get to, is press with them, 44:09 it grows with them as well, right? 44:12 Absolutely. Yeah. 44:14 I mean that is absolutely incredible. 44:17 And, you know, I can't believe that we're running low on time. 44:23 We still have some more to share. 44:24 But prior to talking about 44:27 maybe some of the needs of 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago, 44:31 we're going to go to another song 44:33 and this is going to be sung by Pam Lister 44:37 and it's entitled "His Life For Mine." 45:02 His heart was broken 45:04 Mine was mended 45:10 He became sin, 45:13 Now I am clean 45:18 The cross he carried 45:21 Bore my burden 45:27 The nails that held him 45:30 Set me free 45:33 His life for mine 45:43 How could it ever be? 45:50 That he would die 45:54 God's son would die 45:59 To save a wretch like me 46:07 What love divine He gave his life 46:12 For mine 46:18 His scars of suffering 46:20 Brought me healing 46:26 He spilled his blood 46:29 To fill my soul 46:34 His crown of thorns 46:37 Made me royalty 46:43 His sorrow gave me joy untold 46:49 His life for mine 46:59 How could it ever be? 47:06 That he would die 47:10 God's son would die 47:15 To save a wretch like me 47:22 What love divine He gave his life 47:28 For mine 47:31 He was despised and rejected 47:36 Stripped of his garments and oppressed 47:40 I am loved and accepted 47:44 And I wear a robe of righteousness 47:52 His life for mine 48:02 How could it ever be? 48:09 That he would die 48:13 God's son would die 48:18 To save a wretch like me 48:26 Like me 48:30 What love divine 48:33 He gave his life 48:38 For mine 48:51 Wow, His Life For Mine. 48:54 What a beautiful, beautiful song. 48:56 Rodney, we've talked about all of these projects 48:59 that 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago has been a part of. 49:04 But we didn't cover the health fares? 49:07 Yeah, the health fares, 49:08 we get invited by the Member of Parliament 49:11 in Olalani government to come on board the healthier. 49:14 This one is from the Life Hope Center 49:17 where the legend of our land, Dr. Pastor Clive Dalton 49:21 invited recently to open that aspect of the center. 49:26 And on the other pictures. Right. 49:29 We were at Nestle health fare. 49:32 And this is our Dr. Dorshew volunteers his time. 49:36 And the line was very, very long to actually do 49:40 first full contact with people, 49:42 and speaking to them one on one. 49:45 Yes. Wow. 49:46 So I saw that there was quite a bit of traffic 49:49 at that event? 49:51 Yeah, we had a traffic between 3,000 to 5,000 people that day, 49:55 in one day. 49:56 Well, it's actually just for a few hours. 49:58 And it's really amazing to know how people came 50:02 and they get to know about 3ABN, 50:04 yeah, on that particular day. 50:06 What are some of the needs at 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago? 50:11 We have a great amount of work to get done more in Trinidad. 50:15 We need to bring in more of our books 50:19 and our materials to share God's love for people. 50:22 And a lot more we want to do in Trinidad. 50:25 So to the people 50:28 who are listening and to viewers, 50:29 we ask you if you could kindly grant us your support. 50:33 And let us know that we can reach more people, 50:37 population of 1.5 million. 50:39 And we can do a whole lot more. 50:41 We have volunteers who will come on board 50:43 from projects to projects. 50:44 And the need is great, 50:47 and what we discussed here on projects 50:49 is just a portion of what we do in Trinidad. 50:52 Wow. 50:54 That's just the portion? 50:56 Yes. Wow. 50:57 So there's so much more that that's going on. 50:59 So you need volunteers. 51:02 You need people to spread the Word, 51:04 you need prayers. 51:05 You need financial support as well. 51:07 Yes, yes, Yes. 51:09 We need a lot of support in Trinidad and Tobago. 51:14 Well, the beautiful thing is it seems like 51:17 people have been catching the vision. 51:21 They've grabbed hold of 3ABN Trinidad and Tobago, 51:27 and they're spreading the word and passing out the literature, 51:30 and we hope that that more people will get involved. 51:34 Yes, we pray and hope so 51:35 that we have more volunteers come on board 51:38 and that they come and help us to reach more people. 51:41 Absolutely. 51:42 Well right now we are going to go 51:44 to your contact information, 51:46 and then to news break and we'll be right back. 51:51 3ABN TV Trinidad and Tobago 51:53 is preaching the gospel through television 51:56 and distributing evangelistic literature. 51:58 If the Lord impresses you to support this outreach, 52:01 here's the contact information. 52:04 3ABN TV Trinidad and Tobago, PO Box 220, 52:09 West Frankfort, Illinois 628896. 52:12 You can call them at 868-341-4111. 52:17 That's 868-341-4111. 52:21 You can email them at 3abntt@3abn.tv, 52:27 or find them on the web at tt3abn.tv. |
